The staff was great! I was greeted as I walked in, they had what I needed. No complaints there. Mine starts with an online order. Came in as expected, but when I went to pick it up the box it came out to me in was slightly crushed on one end, and had never been opened to see if it was damaged. When I opened the box the bass guitar was fine, it was dirty, had some scuffs. It was sold as new in the box, which it wasn’t. It had dust all over the pickups and the tuning knobs… when I spend my hard earned money to buy a guitar I was just hoping after shipping it would have been looked over to make sure it was ready to go… at the end of the day it’s not a huge deal, just a little bummed out, and at the end of the day I own a really beautiful bass guitar

Went there to buy Soundproofing panels for my noisy neighbors. The agent there asked us what we were trying to achieve, and taught us that their acoustic panels aren't for that application, he recommended we try Home Depot. I really appreciated the agent being so knowledgeable, taking time to understand our goal, and being honest that there was something better we should go get, even if it meant them losing our sale. I would definitely go there again.

I had excellent customer service while visiting this Guitar Center. I was looking to buy a cheap acoustic guitar since I wasn’t able to bring any of my own from home (I’m in Denver for college). As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by staff and they told me to make myself at home and to let them know how they could help me. Jason was the one helped me at check-out and he encouraged me to buy a 2-year warranty since it was only ~$20. He said if there were any sort of issues with the guitar, I’d be able to bring it in with this warranty. Im glad he suggested this, because when I got home, it turned out my guitar had fret board damage that wasn’t visible to the naked eye. I brought it in and Jason helped me again. The staff were really nice about the whole thing and didn’t give me any sort of issues for having to bring it in. It was super easy and quick, and they double-checked the fret board of the new guitar before giving it to me. Very nice and helpful group of people.

Brought my guitar, amp, and cable in that I'd just bought from them 10 days prior after I started experiencing some issues with them suddenly. An employee named John (dark ponytail) he was absolutely phenomenal, went out of his way to spend time trying to figure out what the problem was and then did what he could to correct it. I ended up exchanging the 20 watt amp for a 30 watt used one and ended up actually getting money back. It gave me features that I was really disappointed about not having and the amp sounds awesome! Awesome employee and great guitar center. So knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks a ton John!

Great service, although I picked up an out of box amp here recently, and upon closer inspection at home, realized it was covered in dust. It wouldn't kill y'all to periodically use some compressed air to clean off equipment, the last thing I wanted was to buy a "new" amp covered in dust.

The reason of 3 stars is because I tried to brought a drums book, but the desk worker say is just for the students, I made a 75 min trip just for get it, and I cant, but I did the order from the web page and I can brought the book, im very disappointed of the costumer service

I was in last week during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale and finally wanted to buy my first guitar. I had done a bit of research and found a used Epiphone ES 335 Pro from them in one of their CA stores. I ended up ordering it from them/had it shipped to this location with the help from Garrett, and purchased a Line6 amp as well while I was there based on his recommendations. The guitar showed up only a few days later and was not in the “good” condition that was stated on the website; it was in near-mint condition! Garrett was there when it showed up, helped me put some new strings on/tune it up, and get it fully shined up. Over the weekend, I ended up having a minor/common issue with the output jack loosening up on me. I headed back in where both Evan (guitar tech) and Kyle (store manager/ex-tech) ended up helping me out with it. The whole crew have helped me out tremendously. I’ll definitely be back in for other parts as needed, and to set up some lessons very soon. Thank you again!

This store is amazing. They must have an amazing manager because all of the employees I’ve worked with have been really patient, kind, and helpful. Also I was shopping there today and I noticed someone who seemed mentally ill because he was sitting by the guitar amps talking to himself and shredding his fingers making them bleed. The way the employee handled approaching and helping the guy was so incredibly nice and inspiring. I live closer to the Centennial store but I’ll always come to this store because its so impressive. Like last two times I went to the Centennial one all of the amps were in boxes and you couldnt really try out or look at anything.

Just picked up this beautiful used Ibanez guitar. I’m traveling across the country and needed something to do in my down time. Everyone was very nice even though they were busy. No one was pushy in sales. Perry, Dan and another younger guy all helped me out. The younger dude even played the guitar for me so I could hear it and see that all was working properly. It was very clean, very orderly and neat, being that this was my first visit I give it 5 stars. The Front desk and employees were right in the middle of everything and will be first thing you'l have pass when you enter, great customer service. The guys know where exactly everything is and are very knowledgeable in what products they sell, detailed in performances and the effects of some products so too informative performance overall. Restroom was clean and the store wasn't busy when I had entered but an overall great store, beautiful showcases. Check it out il be back for more here at Guitar center.

While visiting from out of town, one of my buddies says that he wanted to go to Guitar Center. I seemed to be an odd ask considering me and my buddies were just visiting. We could have the same experience back home. Besides, we weren't buying musical instruments, so what's the use? Well, I was wrong. We went in and explained that my buddy just wanted to jam real quickly. Upon explaining, every employee was very welcoming. So, we got to jam a little in the guitar room. A couple of employees approached to check on everything. I even got a chance to checkout the guitar prices. They're really good! We went to the drum section and jammed a little on the electric kits on display. The display setup was really kickass! Of course, I'm no drummer, so I could only live through my buddy. By now we're in music heaven. I felt sorry for the poor employees that were so cordial, welcoming, and polite. The employees of this location were so amazing and polite while knowing we were just a bunch of tourists. Regardless, the folks at this location were just awesome. So I give this location 5 stars for it's customer service, pricing, musical instrument selection and inventory. If you're looking for a place to buy a guitar, this location is head and shoulders above the rest

(I think his name is Phil) but the guy with super curly black hair is awesome. I came in today, about to buy stuff that wasn't necessary, and he was able to show me some (more useful) alternatives to what I was looking for. He explained thoroughly how it worked, and was really nice about everything. I really appreciate how patient and thorough he was with everything. He even invited me back to the store in case I had any questions later, which is pretty rare in retail. I know for sure I'll be loyal to this store now. (I also was lucky to be able to find some really good used gear. I'm super happy with my purchases.)

I went in looking for an amp for an old bass I had, and ended leaving with a new bass (the other one was a dud). The sales guy (sorry I can't remember your name!) was extremely helpful, didn't try to hard sell, and gave me very practical tips and input. I love my bass, and practicing with it has become my outlet. I'm glad I went in on a whim.

So overall this is a good GC for most musical needs. The staff I've interacted with are friendly and polite, and they do have a decent selection of axes. I would say the selection could be a bit more expansive (though really you could say that about any GC) and the amp selection could definitely be bigger. One thing I def would say is that the QC on some guitars could be looked at, from tuning them to very sharp frets on some lower end guitars. However, I rate the manager highly as he helped me with a purchase return no questions asked which was fantastic.

Didn't have what we went to buy. The website indicated pickup in store, but this location and no other locations had it. We ended paying $70 for a similar item instead of the advertised 4 items at a lower price. The sales associate was patient and friendly, went over and above selling the add on warranty and soliciting extra change to donate to a cause. Otherwise, the store seemed to have a lot of neat merchandise, the store was organized making shipping easy. Front door parking.

I wanted to try out a vocal processor. That was the whole reason for actually stepping foot in there. The response I got was "I don't have one set up." He then proceeded to put one on the counter for me to look at and went back to his gossip session with another employee. There were like two other people in the whole store besides myself and my wife and kids. So my thought was, "then why not set one up so I can try it?" I went home and bought one on Amazon. Bummer. I wanted to use it on my gig tonight. Instead I'll just wait and use it next week. Customer service, folks. If your employees don't understand it, then they don't need to be on your payroll. The reason for giving it three stars was the woman who was running the lessons was super nice and encouraging when approaching my family about lessons. If I didn't already have them enrolled in private lessons I might have bit. Good job from her. Super poor job from the guy at the pro audio desk.

My son got a Schecter guitar about a year ago and recently had noticed it wasn't playing normal and seemed like an issue inside the neck of the guitar so we brought it in to get it checked out. The guy working the repair area was super nice and helpful. I could tell he thought he was going to break my 15 year olds heart telling him the wood was warped (from it being made with bad wood most likely), luckily we got the warranty and we were able to replace the guitar within a couple days. Get the warranty folks!

A surprising twist to big-name stores, the employees here are willing to help you find what you need even if they don't carry it. The staff are all super cool and love talking about everything music. They suggested other, unaffiliated stores because it fit my needs better than what Guitar Center had to offer. They lost a sale that day but gained a returning customer. Thank you for the honesty!

I have always wanted to learn to play guitar. Finally at 52 I decided to just do it. I’m already a singer, sax player and recently taught myself how to play harmonica so I knew a little about what I wanted in a guitar. I just needed some help getting the right one for my play style. I stopped in here after doing some research on line and the service was spectacular! No joke! The young guy who helped me was very knowledgeable and played a few licks for me on the guitar I ended up selecting and he and the instrument sounded great. I beat the kid up pretty good on price but he stood his ground. The store manager finally offered to let me pick any guitar strap at no charge. That was all I needed to feel like I got a deal and I walked out of there happy as hell with my new Gibson SG, amp and accessories. Thanks to the salesperson and the manager BIG TIME for the help. I went to get a trombone for my teenage daughter as a surprise. In my 10 minutes in the store I was asked by 3 people if I needed help. I was helped right away. I was in and out in 15 minutes. Everyone one was nice. Now that's the way to run a business. They all deserve a raise, I will definitely recommend this place.

I’ve been to many Guitar Centers - all locations in Colorado, and locations in quite a few different states - sometimes to shop, sometimes just to kill time and browse. I have got to say that this location has the BEST management and sales team I’ve encountered at any of the locations I have been to, and one of the best management / sales teams in any retail store I’ve ever been into. They’re welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, passionate, helpful, patient, professional, and sincerely enjoy interacting with customers. The team at this guitar center, including folks like Kyle, Matt, Becca, Dex, and Noah truly make shopping here a pleasure (I know I’m leaving out a few names but everyone there truly is great). I’ve bought quite a few guitars and guitar accessories here, and other things like books about guitar / music, vinyl records, and I’ve always felt like I was in a truly local guitar store, and not some big box chain. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the market for a guitar, pro audio, or drums. Top notch!

It was cool but they lock up all the guitars now so you have to get an employee which is annoying and, most likely, annoying for them as well. I do understand why they are locking them up now and since I can't rate the thieves that changed the stores policy to what it has become, I had to take a star away from Guitar Center themselves... And one more thing, I would really like for Guitar Center to offer DJ lessons like they do guitar lessons or drum or trumpet lessons.... That would be super dope...

Went in to look for a couple pedals, and and when I couldn't find one I was looking for, I approached Riley. He was an absolutely wonderful person to chat withe chat with and told me straight up about which models are in store and available right now and which ones are not available. Walk out of there with a wawa pedal and he was able to explain some of the problems and how to circumvent them. Thank you!

This music store is Giant and has lots of helpful people around to assist you and there was even a nice lesson going on and they sounded great. My only complaint is they are not centrally located. Well they have plenty of parking and lots of guitars to truly be Central they would have to be at Broadway and Ellsworth. I am a stickler for details like this, but if guitars are your thing or musical instruments by all means check them out

I frequent this location and never have I had a terrible experience. The employees never seem over worked or stressed and that energy relays into customer experience. For that, I'm grateful. Nothing too special. One of the smaller Guitar Centers I have been to across the country. They have some nice Les Pauls. The guitar and bass amps were just okay. Nothing to mind blowing and staff were pretty nice. Overall good store but not great.

Caleb from the Denver, CO Music Store was super helpful when I ordered a Taylor guitar for my husband. I tried numerous times to order the guitar from the call center and did not receive the assistance I needed to complete the order. Caleb went out of his way to physically check that the guitar was in stock, inspected that it was in perfect condition, and shipped it to the store close to my home. After going through so many failed attempts, Caleb was super responsive, friendly and professional. I recommend this store and if you're looking for someone knowledgeable in guitars, make sure to ask for Caleb.

Keep an eye on their prices. I bought a Typhon that was $100 more than the national average price. Further, I have noticed other items that are hundreds of dollars more than the national average. Malice or mistake, their prices are off.

Really great store, one of the better locations in town. I shop here quite a bit and honestly I dont know how these guys have the patience to deal with most of the general public who comes in, everyone around here seems to have an attitude...but even if I have to wait a bit I always get good service in the end. You get what you give people, treat employees with respect and they'll do the same for you.

I really only deal w the repair team but they helped me find a rare screw for tuning keys on an old Japanese Teisco guitar. Not only were they quick, the screws match exactly, which is ideal for a vintage repair. Much appreciation!

Great selection and staff is very helpful...when you can find them. This place seems to be chronically understaffed with the employees always trying to do 10 things at once. Again, I've only ever had positive interactions with the employees, super knowledgeable and helpful...but you'll have to wait sometimes 10 minutes for one to be available to help you. Had to wait quite a bit before i got asked if I needed some help (once I got help it was great).. First time buying a musical instrument (i don't know how to play, but they're going to be wall decorations (a guitar, a base, saxophone, trumpet and a violin); And to learn how to play it'll be a keyboard/piano and i did walk out buying a snare drum al8ng with it's stand/base, two piano books, Maracas, Tambourine and drum sticks. A wonderful place to visit. They have all kinds of instruments from string to African Drums to percussion. Took my son down there to pick out an instrument. Too much video gaming, zoom meetings and watching movies turning your child into an apocalyptic zombie? Make them learn something new. He picked out a keyboard that operates like a bag pipe. Oxygen helps calm the brain. Even came with a case. This store is full of professional musicians who give great advice. I was very impressed. Go see all the harmonicas in different keys. There's even one with blues notes that comes with a case and free online classes.

I'm an up and coming producer and I honestly had little to no clue what I needed. I came with questions and not a lot of money, but a very cool level headed cat helped my spaz a** figure things out and gave me some pointers. I worked security for this place. From my observations the staff is super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. All of them looked and acted professional as well. The store was clean and looked great except for the front lobby area. There was a stand up sign that was falling apart and it looked ugly. All in all a great well managed and friendly place to get your musical needs.

Went there on a friend's suggestion with an antique Afghan 10 string instrument called a Tambour. Met Jeremy, the manager, the thing needed a new string and a small piece that would guide the string as well. I told him I wanted to give it as a special gift. Well he took it and did everything JUST PERFECT. WEorth becoming a guitarist to be able to go here. Tried to post picture of the small guide he fashioned but can't but believe me it was perfect.

This place was ok. They took the time to talk with me about the gear I was trading in and we both came to an agreement that satisfied us both I was able to leave with cash in hand. Make sure if you are trading something in to clean it up before you go and stick to your guns because they will bid you much lower than actual condition it is in. If your trade is something that needs a power cord make sure you do include the simple power cord or they will NOT accept your trade in.

Upon return, I experienced a longer than necessary wait and the check in person was frustrated about something and it was evident. I started to take names so when i did this review i could comment names, but i got passed around so much to get what i was looking for it defeated the purpose. Inventory is awesome and the guys are terrific, very helpful and knowledgeable. However, should you actually purchase something more than a few small items, the wait is long and the customer service unfocused. The staff seems to disappear and randomly reappear without focusing on completing a transaction in a timely manner. I do believe they mean well, but allocate an hour and load up on patience at the door.

I liked that the sales team gave you space to browse. The bummer was that you had to go find them so that they could wipe down an instrument you'd like to try and then again when you were done. To me a plus and a minus. I know it's the requirement for being open and designed to keep us all safe from the Corona Virus 😷 but it just felt strange/awkward. 😰 The store team was pretty on it. They welcomed us, let us browse and came to help when we went and got them. Honestly, i know this is to be expected, after all that is customer service but the courtesy with which that team of young men helped out was pretty alright.

I did have a bad experience here but was contacted by the district manager and he did apologize and offered a solution to my problem. So I have changed my rating from 1 start to 3 stars for this location. Original review: "I bought a set of strings and the first low E string I installed snapped off right at the machine head. No tension on the string, just broke right off as it curled. Returned to the store for an exchange only to find out that both the employee at the counter and the store manager were completely unwilling to stand behind the product. "Strings are not returnable" is the response I get. I understand that, but when you sell a defective product, you need to stand behind that product, not point blame at the customer and imply that they do not know how to string a guitar, or that they are trying to rip them off for $15. The manager has the nerve to say "how do you know it is defective and not the way you were stringing it?" Because I HAVE BEEN STRINGING GUITARS FOR 20 YEARS, THAT'S HOW I KNOW. Could they have resolved my concern? Of course, if they felt like it. I wasn't asking for my money back, just a simple exchange. I have never heard of a legitimate business not even willing to issue an exchange or store credit, especially on a defective item. For business owners like myself, this is a great example of how NOT TO conduct business. I'm just glad I got the chance to test their customer service on a $15 item instead of a $1500 guitar. Do yourself a favor and go to a real music store where the people actually care."

This review is for this specific store and not for guitar center the company. The company is not good for the music industry as they buy back struggling musicians equipment during this pandemic only to sell it at significant markups. That being said the times i have had to shop here the service has been great and prompt. The upselling on protection plans is very aggressive but its still simple enough to say no.

Good place to visit if you need items in a hurry and do not want to wait for the delivery time of an internet order. There are occasions where the instore stock is not in sync with the website, so call first. The staff is 50/50 so it is best to do research online before going in. I play drums so I choose to support a local drum shop in those situations. For any other needs,... this is where I go.

It's a mixed bag. I've made a few large purchases here and sometimes it's great. The prices are usually as good as you're going to find at a brick and mortar so if you've done your research and know what you want, and don't want to wait on Amazon, this may be your best bet. If you want some knowledgeable advice about your purchase... maybe. There are a few really great local guitar shops in Denver (Folklore Center) and they might be worth checking out, too.

Great service from Dan, who genuinely loves helping fellow musicians. Went in with my brother's bass to get it cleaned up and restrung (didn't know how to do it myself) and Dan helped me out. Great guy, showed me how to do it step by step and was very transparent on what to do next. I usually come here for strings and other accessories but was very satisfied with the maintenance and repair that I'll be coming back again if I ever need it.

So, guitar center in my opinion is the devil of the music industry. However there are a few decent guys at this shop. Surprisingly they have a decent service center at this place as well. I took my ricky there to get re-wired and they did an awesome job. Ground issue is solved, and the bill wasn't over the moon.

I always shop at this location. The deals are awesome and the staff is well informed about the products they sell. If you need lessons the offer free classes for everyone. They could use a little more pro audio gear there. I didn't see a push 2 the last time I was there, spent some time window shopping instead. While i was looking around the guy in drums gave me a in depth review of the roland V drums so sweet, going to have to save up for those.

Generally speaking, I’m no fan of Guitar Centers. However, their manager and one of the other guitar employees went above and beyond when local shops (and the Arvada GC majorly) failed. There was a simple problem with a tube amp of mine that I didn’t think I need to take to a repair shop...just needed some help diagnosing. They took the time to help, and saved me some money. Good on them.

Everyone at the store is super cool. Sometimes they are busy and take a little bit longer to help you. I bought my son a new drumset for Christmas. They didn't have the set he wanted in stock. So we ordered it online in the store. The guy at guitar center reduceced the price so I didn't have to pay shipping. That was super cool.

2 guitarist places everyone loves going to I recommend this place for everyone who is interested in music!! By far my favorite place in the world so far, some of the staff isn't really eager to help or have the want to help. Would be nice if they had energetic people who get just as pumped as much as musicians do when they need somethin would have been 5 stars but kids these days are just there for the paycheck.
