I approached Ryan unsure of my readiness to record and nervous that it wouldn’t work out well. But I had put a lot of time into the music and really just needed to find the confidence. Ryan created an amazing space to lay down the tracks and the band was incredibly comfortable the whole time. He was upfront and honest and provided the best feedback throughout the whole process. We left feeling incredible and getting the final mix completely blew away my expectations. I plan on doing a lot more work with Ryan and Robot Dog in the future, 5 stars is simply not enough!

Our band came in for a short live evening radio interview and recording session. The crew was friendly, low key, on the ball, quick, competent, attentive and professional. Set-up was quick, accommodating, headphone mix was perfect, turnaround of tracks for radio show was within a week and video shot was edited and posted a few days later. Couldn't be happier. Hope to do it more / again. All the stars. terrific experience. Highly recommend and endorse Ryan, Sam, and Robot Dog! Muy Bueno!

Ryan was super easy to work with from the first email. He was extremely prompt with his responses, understood the project and our goals, and was flexible with a short-notice schedule change. He gave us all the info we needed to make sure everything was ready to be mastered before I showed up. He invited me to sit in during the mastering process so I could see how it's done. I'm so glad I got to be involved and give input on the final touches of my record. I was also extremely impressed with how chill the studio is (and Robot too!) and Ryan's work ethic - we got more done in a few hours than I ever thought possible and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out!! We went in hoping to record 2-3 songs in an afternoon and, largely due to Ryan's setup and expertise, ended up having time to lay down 5 base tracks. We finished the recording of 3 of them with a couple hours of vocal & overdub-guitar on Day 2. We *could not be happier* with our experience!

Ryan was great! He had great direction, especially when recording your songs can be so overwhelming. He knew when to move on and when to really focus on a particular part. The studio was beautiful and set up so well. As an 8 piece band, we all could fit and even had four extra people there! The equipment was top knotch and Ryan knew his way around all of it. I had an absolutely fantastic experience working with Robot Dog summer 2021. The project we tasked Ryan with would seem impossible in any other recording studio: record 2 songs and 2 music videos in one 6 hour day, in a location neither I nor the Robot Team had ever been to, including setup and tear down for everything. What resulted was not only a seamless, productive work environment, but a final product which handily surpasses the quality of anything we've produced previously (with twice as much money and time, I might add). I credit this to the Robot Dog team's years of experience as not only recording engineers, but content creators as well. Ryan and Sam provided not only technical experience, but a sincere appreciation for our goals as a band that kept us on task and pressing forward, instead of obsessing over the trivial details that can become major headaches (and major expenses) in other environments. This was by no means my first rodeo, either, I have profession studio recording experience in Boston, Tennessee, and several other Burlington area studios. Robot dog was hands down the most responsive (for scheduling and logistics, as well as post production), the best value, and highest quality end product of any of those experiences. Safe to say we will be returning to Robot Dog Studio with our next project.

We spent a full 8-hour day with Ryan (and Robot!) at Robot Dog Studios working to get material together for an album. He was easy to work with, setting appropriate expectations from his experience with other musicians, suggesting how to get the most out of our session and providing creative insights that might enhance the music. It was comfortable and easy-going but also a productive experience. We traveled 4 hours from Maine to work with Ryan and wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

As a producer and engineer, Ryan hits all the marks you want - he's meticulous but relaxed, able to simultaneously give constructive criticism and sit back and go with the flow. I cannot praise Robot Dog Studio enough. Recording generally gives me anxiety and I couldn’t have felt more comfortable or at home there. Where to begin... when looking for producers around our area, my band initially had bids from producers in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Jersey, New York, and Maine. We had planned to visit all of the studios interested, but that all changed when we listened to Ryan's demo tracks; the pure sonic destruction that he could create while still maintaining beautiful clarity in the tracks was astonishing and game-changing. We visited Ryan twice to learn about his process but upon initial meeting decided he was the right fit for us. On the surface, his laid-back nature gives way to a Wizard of Oz styled puppeteer who knows not only his way through the engineering process, but his way around music. Some of the best things about Ryan come from his desire to simplify and go back to the basics - there's no digital amplifier modeling here, just someone who knows how to dial in the EQ right the first time and make everything sit together perfectly. He will push you to your limits and step back exactly when you need him to. Ryan is a master at his craft, a friendly voice when you need it, someone who cares about what you're recording, and the best outside ear you could possibly ask for. So I ask of you: Visit Ryan, listen to the tracks that he is truly proud of bringing to life, and record the greatest release of your musical career with him. He will not let you down in any way.

Recorded at Robot Dog Studio for first time last month. I feel that I am the type to have a specific sound in mind but a lack of ability/musical knowledge to communicate my desires to a producer. This being said, I had one song recorded and mixed, and I am blown away by the extent to which Ryan's finished product matches the version I've long desired but have been unable to make exist. In other words, I couldn't be happier. Ryan also gave great suggestions during the recording process (he throws out great ideas, but not before getting a feel for whether you are open to suggestions). Very excited to move forward at RDS!
