What a great find! Somehow drove past this place for years and never noticed it. Stopped in to get a simple guitar repair done assuming I'd have to drop it off but he did it right then and there in 15 minutes. Had a really nice chat with the owner too who was very down to earth. The guitars on offer were gorgeous and generally pretty high end though there was some more modest stuff mixed in as well. Cool shop and a great customer experience. Will 100% be back for any other repairs or setups.

Eddie is awesome! He truly has a passion for making/repairing guitars, and has done some incredible personal projects that were really inspiring to hear about. I brought my extremely old guitar in to restring, but soon found out that it was near unplayable in the state that it was in - no wonder it was so hard for me to play as a beginner! Eddie immediately showed me a new guitar that had a beautiful sound and was very affordable, and helped me repair my old one so that I could sell it for a great price. And in addition, he gave me three free guitar lessons, which really kickstarted my guitar journey. I'm beyond thankful to have gone into this guitar shop and to have met such a kind owner with the most inspiring passions and stories. Cannot say enough good things about this shop, so I would highly recommend to anyone!

Eddie runs one of the best guitar stores in the United States. He is a wealth of knowledge and is very passionate about his business. He has a wide range of products from novice to expert, electric and acoustic. I found Carlino Guitars because he is an authorized dealer of Furch Guitars. After a search of his website, I saw he had what I was looking for. My first visit to the store was amazing. Eddie took the time to educate me on guitars and guitar building. If you're frustrated with all the local rinke dinks doing unsatisfactory work on your babies look no further than Carlino Guitars, Shop. My Les Paul Studio came back to me like a new $2700 Standard after setup. Which I already knew it would anyways because I've heard what caliber of a guitar guy Eddie Carlino is through his excellent reputation with all things guitar. I would have to take up to much space to go over all the exciting things he's involved with. I was referred to him by a friend so I got the low down on Eddie before hand so I was a bit intimidated walking in my 1st time because of the high profile guy I learned he is. But you'd never know it because he's 100% down to earth, friendly, welcoming, chill etc.' etc. etc. Whoever said in a review they got someone rude on the phone Eddie must have been out. I've been bringing guitars to shops all over the place for many years and now I'll never go anywhere else. I'm SO thrilled I was turned onto this place...,FINALLY!!. Oh, and as busy as he is the setup turnover was 2 days, that's right 2 days. And he asked me if that was ok with me ; ),...Howbout that!

I came in the other day looking to buy my first electric guitar on a budget, and although he didn't have anything for me he was insanely kind and he gave me a ton of general advice, which was great as a newcomer. Very honest and genuine guy, it was worth visiting just for chatting with him. He even gave me his contact info so I could send him any pictures of guitars that I was interested in but wasn't sure about, condition/quality wise. Definitely worth the visit!

I'm posting a review based off my experience coming here despite not being able to buy a guitar. Eddie and company were extremely pleasant and welcoming when I inquired about buying my first guitar. They unfortunately didn't have one for me, but he was nice enough to refer me to someone else when Eddie didn't have to. I would definitely return for his other services.

Awesome place with some beautiful guitars. Definitely meant for more serious players than newbies but they have a solid range of cheaper guitars for those folks. Straps made by these guys look sick and I think they do their own leatherwork. Rad spot

Eddie the owner is incredibly knowledgeable with an unmatched attention to detail. He sets up my guitars and basses to absolute perfection, and polishes them up so they look brand new!!! Very rarely do you meet a business owner who remembers every customer, and always can answer your questions 6/5 stars

My old acoustic needed some TLC. I told Mr. Carlino it needed a full tuning/truing/cleaning. It was not cheap. I got back a completely different guitar than the one I brought in. It was mine - but shiny, beautifully waxed, cleaned, trued, and strung. It has never sounded as pure as it does now. Turned around in a day, as promised up front. Absolutely worth the money. Can't stop playing it.

Great guitars, good selection of accessories, great store to walk around and very fair pricing! Like everybody else here is saying, Eddie is just about as good as it gets. I've probably been to 30 guitar shops in my life and nobody has even come close to providing the level of knowledge and quality of service that Eddie has. He asks the important questions, explains the important details, and will make sure you walk out happy. Also his custom guitars are absolutely gorgeous and he has a true passion for making/designing them.

Eddie Carlino is the master of all things guitar and straps. He is a genius luther with his own kickass brand name guitars that are reasonably priced and sound killer. His work is always above and beyond and goes the extra to satisfy his customers. I have had numerous guitars worked on and they all came back flawless and with really reasonable rates. Talk to Eddie and pick his brain, he is very knowledgeable and will give you the straight dope on any questions you have. It's awesome to have such a talent a phone call away when you have a gear or instrument question. Eddie Carlino is the guy to go to!

Not only is Eddie Carlino a phenomenal craftsman he is a very generous and caring man. He is what every business owner should be. Great communication skills set him apart from other people I have dealt with in life. Through a random facebook chat about what else KISS I inquired about getting a custom strap made for my Ibanez PS10ltd. Eddie suggested to make an era correct Paul Stanley strap. So I’m like Hey Eddie the Gene Simmons band is playing a week from today how cool would it be if Ryan from his band would wear it for a few songs. He’s like let me call you back. Eddie calls back and says done deal I will make sure the strap is done and I will ship it to Syracuse where their playing, no worries. Man did he deliver, not only did I get to see Ryan play the strap for the entire show my buddy and I were treated to the backstage area, got pictures with the band including Gene and even hung out with the guys after the show for a while. What a great night full of memories all set up by an owner that cares about his customer! Honestly the guy goes the extra mile and for that reason I will continue to give him business and refer others to him as well. And by the way the strap is a work of art! Thanks Again Eddie Carlino and a special thanks to Ryan Cook also for a killer night!

Where to begin? From the first time I described my project over the phone, to the moment he unveiled his creation, Eddie was friendly, enthusiastic about working with me on my project, and made sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. Beyond his outstanding customer service, Eddie is hands down one of the most talented woodworkers I have ever met. The final product, a custom laser-engraved ceremonial fraternity paddle, went above and beyond my wildest dreams. Not only was the engraving clean and exactly like the design I imagined, he even managed to take a little bit of artistic liberty by adding a dark wood inlay to my Fraternity crest, giving it an unbelievable, elegant pop. Last, and certainly not least, Eddie's prices are far better than any other comparable engraving service in the area; had I gone elsewhere I would have had to pay at least TWICE what Eddie quoted me. Quite simply, you will not find a better person for whatever project you are imagining, and would be doing yourself a disservice if you give your business to anyone other than Eddie.

This was a nice shop with a friendly staff. They make custom electric guitars and custom leather straps. They've even done a guitar for Paul Stanley of Kiss. Electrics appear to be their specialty, but they have an assortment of acoustics. Prices very from entry level to professional. They had an assortment of pedals and amplifiers, but that's not my wheel house. If you're looking for anything other than a guitar or bass, head elsewhere. No banjos or mandolins to be found here, but that's fine. Better to specialize in one area than be mediocre in many. They likely have on site luthier services if you had your guitar set up. If you play electric guitar or bass, you need to check this place out.

I brought in my 1997 Rickenbacker 370 12-string into Eddie Carlino's Medford store in hopes of correcting severe playability problems. The guitar overtime had become unplayable due to string height - an issue I was unable to resolve on my own. I went in with a checklist - truss rod, bridge height, etc. Eddie took the guitar and was immediately able to determine that the neck was bowed and that adjusting the dual truss rods on the Rickenbacker would correct the problem. He quoted me his standard set-up rate and promised the guitar by the end of business the following day. In addition to the neck adjustment, he cleaned and polished the frets and neck board, replaced the strings (Rickenbackers furnished by me). He also cleaned and waxed the body. All the work was done in the promised time and my Rickenbacker looks and plays like a factory fresh guitar - probably better. Eddie is a quiet, reserved man and a superb luthier. It's Christmas Eve and I was having a rough day today with selfish people.. Seemed like nothing was going right and I lost my spirit just about.. This man is the least selfish. He just cleaned and completely strung a guitar for me with a new pick for absolutely NOTHING. He told me since his mom passed he does something nice every year for someone and I was that someone. 😢💙 Made me feel so blessed and grateful that there is still some good left in people.
