If you're looking for the best music shop in Billings, this is the correct option. Absolutely amazing customer service. Staff are knowledgeable and can answer any question you have. If one of them isn't sure, they'll refer you to someone who would be. Anything and everything you could possibly need for whatever instrument you may have at the most affordable prices I have ever seen. Comfy interior, almost makes you feel at home. Forget saying "Id rate 6 stars if I could", I'd rate 7 if I could. Absolutely 13/10.

This place is great. I went in looking for a humidifier for my acoustic and the guy at the desk took me right to the humidifier section. I almost bought this really sweet two-thousand dollar guitar, it was an amazing guitar and played like a dream, my wife told me no, haha. She wanted to buy me this really nice four-hundred dollar guitar for my birthday but I had my eye on the two-thousand dollar hollow body electric guitar, it was really light weight and sounded incredible unplugged, plus it looked so beautiful. If you need your guitar worked on, Hansen music did an awesome job setting up my Floyd rose Jackson. Just about everything you'll need to make music, this is the first place I go to when I need something, they always have what I need and they're happy to show you or tell you about things

I've only been in this store twice, once last year around this time and then again today. I am from ND and only come to Billings to bring my mother to see a specialist. I was helped by the same person both times (Art I believe) and today he remembered me from last year, including the gear I own and the type of guitars I am interested in. Both times I have visited he spent considerable time demoing guitars for me and talking gear. They also give you a lot of time to play guitars on your own. Over all, a very satisfying experience, I hope to make a purchase from them soon. I highly recommend this store.

Easily my favorite music store of anywhere I've been. The Hansen Staff are not only friendly but have knowledgeable people in any area of interest. As a drummer, Jason is awesome in giving ideas for sounds I am looking for as far as tuning and head selection.

We chatted about how to read music and the benefits of "tabs", and many other things. A coworker had recommended the place, and I'll definitely be heading back for my musical needs!

My first experience with Hansen Music was when they helped me diagnose a problem I was having with a speaker I bought somewhere else. They figured out my issue and in the process I bought two new speakers. A year later I walked in to look at new subs and they not only remembered my name but my details. I have since bought a guitar over the phone and again I was greated like an old friend. My only issue with Hansen Music is that I live too far from them.

I have been in and out of this store since I was a little kid and recently I had my Pickups change on my guitar. It only took a couple days and when I got my guitar back it was cleaner than when I first got it and played amazing! New strings were also thrown on and my first store bought guitar now plays better than my expensive Ibanez S series. I would highly recommend these guys for ANY work you need on any instrument.
