Exactly what I look for in a local drum shop. Friendly staff that is helpful and knowledgable (but not overbearing while you browse!), a great selection of new and used gear at fair prices, and a remarkable stock of spare parts. Well worth the trip if you are anywhere near Baltimore.

This place doesn't have an overhead sign, so trust your GPS when getting there. It may not be as big as some other places like Bill, but they more than make up for it in selection and customer service. They've been incredibly helpful finding parts for my 29-year-old drum set and getting new gear. If you need a part they can find it or do the repairs. Their cymbal room is excellent and everything is laid out to make your shopping experience easier. They also offer advice on what to get without being overbearing or insulting your preferences. If you're a drummer and haven't gone here you're missing out.

Maryland Drums is the best drum shop I’ve ever been in. Keith, John and Chris and the other drummers who work there are the best. Keith has helped me with so many different projects including getting drums wrapped, getting me a custom make snake and mics and sold me a badass TAMA kit along with a million drumsticks, heads, cymbals etc. I can’t say enough good things about them. Sometimes I just stop in and hang out with whoever may be there. If they don’t have it they can get it.

I went in for the first time yesterday to buy a cymbal stand...and I fell in love with the store! Ended up putting this beautiful Stage Custom on layaway and forgot about a cymbal stand entirely! 😂 Great service, extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff (and customers). Easily the best option in the area for drummers, don't even bother with G___ C___.

My son's bass pedal was broken. I stopped in, they found parts and put it back together again. They charged me $3 and I didn't have any cash on me. They said stop in later with it. I stopped by a few days later to pay and the same guy didn't even remember me. Great service, knowledgeable staff, very nice used and new equipment to choose from. THIS is how music stores used to be in the 70's and 80's. I'll never shop anywhere else.

Keith Larsen has been in the drum making and drum selling business for over 30 years. His staff are complete pros and know what you need. Best selection best prices best anything a drummer could want. sales and service and repair like you would not believe. Worth the drive from anywhere from Washington DC, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Maryland to the shop in the Towson area of Baltimore county. If you're a real drummer don't consider any other place but Mid-Atlantic drum for your drumming needs !!

Keith Larsen is the man. He built my drumset back when he ran Maryland Drum company and it is by far the nicest drum set I have ever played on. Some 12+ years of playing on it every day wore out a few lugs. I reached out to Keith and he sent me 6 new ones right away. You can't ask for customer service this good elsewhere because it just doesn't exist.

Can't remember the owners name but he was super helpful! Helped me with silent stroke heads and cymbal mutes. I was on the fence about which kind to get and he walked me through the pros and cons of each. Now I am able to play on my acoustic set in my row house for the first time in years without disturbing my neighbors. I will come back for all my supplies and equipment.

small drum store thats fun to visit. There is no better place to buy drum heads, especially if you like aquarian. They have an amazing selection of drumheads and many you won't see on the shelves at the big music stores and in every size you can think of including the bigger bass drum heads. If you need a break from the seeing the same drum items at all of the guitar centers then take time to visit this store. Many times they have unique items and alternative kits that you can't see in stores. Keith, the owner, is a nice guy that loves to chat and loves drums.Checkout can take awhile because they only use old school calculator/paper and hand write everything you buy but it gives you time to get to know the guy you're working with. I give these guys credit, starting a music store in todays huge corp world so I would much rather purchase something here than online or at guitar center. My only gripe would be the hours. They don't open until noon but there could be reasons for that, that I don't know about. All in all and specialty drum store that I love visiting when Im looking for something different or higher end
