One of, if not the best, guitar shops in the Albuquerque area! The service is amazing, and getting input on gear from Pops is more than valuable! In addition, the quality of the work from the shop is superior to that found from many other places.

Checked a bunch of other shops, but ended up buying from Backroads. Easily the best guitar spot in Albuquerque. Duffy was a huge help getting me set up with the pefect acoustic/electric guitar. Great selection, extremely knowledgeable staff, highly recommended.

This is the only guitar shop I go to. The staff is always very friendly and very helpful. Their selection of guitars is curated, as is everything else in the store. You will not find anything of low quality in this store. Every time I go, I leave in a great mood. Keep up the great work!

Awesome service. Lance set up 2 electric guitars a could not get right. One with a Gotoh 510 and the other with a ZR-2 and ZPS3. Best guitar tech in the state from my experience... Staff is friendly and helpful too. Love this shop. You have to check 'em out. Thank you so much!

2/1/23 Went to Backroads Guitars to get my Yamaha Bass guitar fixed, but wound up getting a full bass guitar tune up and got a good reference for bass guitar lessons. This place is the best local guitar store, staff are very knowledgeable about music, extremely professional, courteous and friendly. I WILL be going here for all my guitar needs. Great experience I had making a deal with lance....everything was as described and he went out of his way to be sure my guitar would arrive safely!! I'd reccomend backroads guitars to anyone on the fence placing a order!! If dealing with them online is this easy going to the store in person could only get better! I walked into this place and it blew my mind! It blows the doors off of guitar center and the people were super cool! I saw a very unique telecaster hanging and just knew I had to have it I'm sure I'll spend a ton of time at this place. Thanks guys!
