My son Richard and I LOVE visiting the Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum. I talk it up often at my job at Virginia Beach Visitor Center, giving all the fabulous 🤩 details and the location of course!
There is a picture of my Uncle Bill in the hallway on the second floor. He was a member of the Rescue Swim Team 1933, last row, second from right - William Rogers!
We ALWAYS make a donation!

Nice little museum in a historic building on the boardwalk. I learned alot by speaking the with museum volunteers and craftsmen! (It is technically free, but they request that you give a donation if you can)

Loved this cute cottage of back in day! Listened to the video of the many past hotels that lined the Boardwalk. The young lady at the front desk was very informative and friendly. We enjoyed it!!

We enjoyed our visit here. The displays were interesting, the staff knowledgeable and the gift shop was excellent. The admission is free and worth the stop. Located right next to the beach with a gazebo outside.

This place is so neat! There’s also gentlemen that hand carve decoys there. It’s only a donation but definitely worth a good donation at that. Take time to walk through the house and speak to them.

Located in Atlantic Avenue 12th Virginia Beach . The museum displays bird decoys, bird art and sculptures, vintage shotguns, hunting memorabilia, and a pictorial history of Virginia Beach. You can rent it and have a ceremony at the beach.

Love the unique things in the gift shop. The artifacts in this historic building are wonderful too. The beach views from the grounds are great. Love all the outdoor events they have here.

My kids ages (11 and 7) loved this place. My daughter actually picked this museum to go visit. Free parking aside from the parking lot being small. The people inside are super friendly! They ask for donation ($3.00) for the adults but kids are always free.

Free to the public, donations recommended. There's a resident carver available to tell you about the hunting club and history of the waterfowl dummies. The first floor is dedicated to waterfowl and the second floor has more historical items. A small video presentation is available as well. A nice little museum! There is also a small gift shop on the first floor if you need to buy anything beach or bird themed.
