It's a boat dock, where the "Jose Gaspar" is moored all year long. There is severely limited parking (for a fee) and the boat is roped off so kids and adults are not allowed to climb ob it. The Gaspar is used once a year for the Gasparilla Pirate Invasion when the legendary pirate of the same name sails into the harbor and captures the mayor.

The ship was covered in bird poop, but leaves you with a sense of what could have been.

Its a nice place to stop and think plus beautiful view of downtown and the water. You can not get on the boat bit its still a nice quiet place

An interesting spot along downtowns waterfront. However you cant enter the ship and there are no good angles to get good photos of it. It’s basically jus a swimming vessel and you don’t see much of a “pirate ship” here besides of being a sail boat. A lot of bird poop all over the ship as well. Only good thing is, parking is right in front of it and free at certain times, like on a Sunday.

I was volunteering at the Gasparilla race and I couldn't believe the view. Everything there was amazing and even if you aren't volunteering it's still an amazing place to go and watch the Sunrise/Sunset or just walk around. I recommend that everyone should go to this spot.💖🌞 …

This place is relaxing. The calm waves, and the ship makes you feel like you're in a diffrent place. At night time though, It's diffrent. Sometimes, you may need to stay away from the ship during the night because birds decide to nest there, and they drop a bomb that will splatter. That's the only thing. Other than that, It's amazing.

Gasparilla pirate ship dock if you're into pictures and taking selfies than that's a spot for you that's really not a whole lot there to do besides taking pictures of the ship and it is a nice very well kept up ship used for the Gasparilla parade and just a reminder there's no trespassing on the ship you can take pictures around it but you can't board it

Fantastic time during Gasparilla. Well maintained crowd control. Ample porta-potties most of the time. It got cold this year with no refuge. Draught beer was also largely missing :(

Good view of the bay and the convention center. Good place to park to ride your bike or walk the Bayshore Blvd trail, or ride into downtown.

(Translation) Excellent location for any type of photography that you want to take with a historical, marine or cosmopolitan city background, you can park and go to the Bayshore promenade, there you have a nice boardwalk where you can do any physical activity, from simply walking to riding a bike, skates, skateboards, bench exercises, parallel bars, etc. Then you go back for your car until a new opportunity!! (Original) Excelente locación para cualquier tipo de fotografía que quieras tomar con un fondo histórico, marina o de ciudad cosmopolitan, puedes estacionar y acercarte al paseo de la Bayshore, allí tienes un lindo malecón donde hacer cualquier actividad física, desde simplemente caminar hasta andar en bic, patines, patinetas, ejercicios en banco, paralelas, barras, etc. Luego vuelves por tu carro hasta una nueva oportunidad!!
