Reviews of Maine Classic Car Museum
Very nice selection of cars. They also don't rope off the cars, so you are allowed to carefully get up close and personal...even stick your head inside without touching. Allow about 1.5 hours.
I DIDNT want to leave. The staff was very pleaseant and knowlegeable about all the cars and would open doors, hoods ect. Every car had rich history. Rare cars such as a tucker were on display! Deffinetly worth checking out
Great place to see some classics. They have multiple unique older cars including an BMW Isetta, Delorean, Amphibious cars, and of course a car on tracks / skis.
My band played at a private function here in June... decided I wanted to come back. We were staying in Wells and paid them a visit.
Lots of interesting cars... Some extremely rare examples
Any car enthusiast will love this place. Some extremely rare cars like their Tucker, Nash Healey, and the Hudson Hornet. One of the staff loves to walk around and tell stories about the cars. Takes about an hour to see everything.
Cars on the outside lot are also cool and for sale.
I'm not a "car person," but how I enjoyed our visit! The classic automobiles on display are fascinating and in perfect shape. Each car has a bit of history provided, but the friendly staff is eager to expound. We were there for a couple of hours and really could've stayed for more.
In short, very unexpectedly very enjoyable!
You should go if you're in the area.
Love this place! A lot of cars you don't see in other classic car museums. Definitely worth a visit!
What a great museum! Many beautiful classic cars. Helpful & informative staff. A fun way to spend an afternoon.
This museum has over 50 cars and trucks from 1915 through the 1960s and A-LOT of automobile memorabilia, including porcelain signs, antique fuel pumps, print ads, and hubcaps. While there my daughter and I got to sit in a BMW Isetta and a Delorian. All in all we had a great time and spent over two hours asking questions, seeing engines, and checking out the gift shop.
Very special place ,for car enthusiast ,even Jay Leno would appreciate . I have two 1995 Toyota centurys, I always enjoy visiting
An amazing find in Arundel. This is a great place to visit to check out some beautiful classic cars. They have an indoor showroom with close to 50 classic cars, and there are more to look at on the lot outside. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and will happily take the time to discuss the cars with you, answer questions, etc. Everyone in our party highly enjoyed our visit, from young kids to grandparents!
Liked every car on display brought back many good memories cars were in excellent condition
Was absolutely amazing!!! 10 out of 10!
Visited in the summer of 2019, not long after they opened. Beautiful collection of amazing and rare cars, so well displayed. Clean and bright building with plenty of room; enough to walk around and study each and every car. Friendly staff, very well educated in what they had. Can't wait to get back again. Keep up the good work!
Do not miss this gem. Staff super knowledgeable and happy to answer our questions and show us extra details about the cars.
Great car museum, older cars from the 50s back, many interesting vehicles
Great cars and very well presented! Had a wonderful visit.
Was an amazing experience, Beautiful collection, the owner showed us around with passion. It was a fun couple of hours for the whole family. Even though it looks like it's mostly for adult our kids really enjoyed it and are still talking about. I would highly recommend to check it out if you're in the area
Amazing collection!
Listen, we were on vacation with my Dad who has alzheimers ... he lit up, smiling, full of excitement. He really enjoyed every single car, truck, mascot ... it was brilliant!
The historian was very knowledgeable and gave us a personal tour. Very interesting.
It was my first time visiting here, and it was amazing! So many very cool vintage vehicles here. A lot that I’ve never seen before. I had a great time here, and would love to go back again.
Rich car history with Fun facts of car manufacturers
For the price there is a great selection of vehicles to see. The employees know so much about the restoration that went into each vehicle
This museum is outstanding. We stopped, on a whim, to check out the unique vehicles in the sales parking lot, then decided to see what the museum had to offer. It was well worth our time and money. This museum is bound to entertain everyone in your party, from gear heads to those with a casual interest in cars. Highly recommend!
This was my second visit to the museum; loved the uniqueness in models on display and got to see what was available for sale. A young 16 yr. old employee was intelligent, extremely knowledgeable and really interesting to talk with. As a Studebaker enthusiast/owner it was great to see the models you had on display.
The Maine Classic Car Museum is an amazing collection of truly unique and extremely high quality automobiles. What a pleasant surprise in such a seemingly unlikely location. As a car enthusiast I was blown away but there is much here for anyone who appreciates the artistry of finely crafted machines. Definitely worth the visit and the small entrance fee! You may want to call to confirm open hours before visiting.
They sold my car with no problem Tim is the man
This was such a welcome discovery. I have stopped by the dealership several times to look at their inventory of classic cars, but had not been there when the new museum was open (thanks to Covid19). I had just painted my boat and had nothing much to do until the paint had dried and decided to see if the museum was open. What a great medium-size automobile museum. They have several of my favorite classics, including a Tucker, a Model T, a Cord, and a racing Hudson Hornet. The cherry on top of this sundae was discovering both a 1964 Ford Falcon and a 1964 Corvair -- my first two cars -- for sale. I didn't buy them, but just being reminded of things like how big the "compact" Falcon was in comparison to today's cars, and how low the Corvair was to the ground.
Most of the cars in the museum are just gorgeous with some crazy colors and brilliant paint, but a couple are "as-delivered," including the Model T. And the people working there are so helpful, including offering to open the hood (in the rear, but hardly a trunk) of the Tucker so I could see the helicopter engine they used.
Just a great, nostalgic afternoon, and highly recommended.
UPDATE. I've been back several times since I posted this, and it is still a 5 star visit for me. I've taken several people with me, including a 94 year old relative and my wife, and they both loved it as well, so it's not just for car-guys.
We had a great time looking at the cars here.
Great museum where you can get up and close to the cars! (Still no touching, remember!) And they have a rotating selection so if you go a few times a year it'll be different
