Had a great time with the kids. Lots of wisdom, love and experience with informative unique antiques and a car show that will leave you speechless. 💓 Family owned and operated very kind folk with warm and loving smiles. Cool shirts and antique trinket gift shop that will for sure spark your interest! Highly recommend the trip worth it!

The museum is one of a kind and a must-see. The owners are lovely people and will answer any questions you may have. The history behind these cars is just unbelievable. The craftsmanship and detail that went into each vehicle are outstanding. I would defiantly recommend it.

We drove from Mesa and it was well worth the trip. Enjoyed talking with Ernie, Gene and friend about cars and things in general. Wish my brother and brother in law could see this. We are from MN. We left a donation for enjoying the opportunity to see the museum. Need GPS to find

What a great find! This is the place for car lovers. Such a unique collection of Dwarf vehicles plus countless antiques. You can stand and look for hours at everything on the walls and shelves! We will definitely come back for another visit, another time! Ernie Adams and his son are very pleasant and accommodating.
Jesse Sosebee
This museum never fails to satisfy. They gentlemen are always eager to show you around and the progress made on their projects. I saw the 64 Imoala SS when it was just a frame. They have come so far in the last 2 years. Lots of great things to see around the property as well. This is a must see stop if you're ever in the area. They never get old seeing what those guys are up to.
Bill Fischer
The time and work going into making these scaled down cars is hard to imagine. Very interesting to see. Worth a stop if you are anywhere close by. Admission is free but donations are accepted and it's worth a donation to see the cars, equipment and facility.
Brenndon McGill
Love this place and what Ernie is doing. We’ve been here a few years ago and they changed a bit by adding a store, a little movie theater area, etc. He’s currently working on a dwarf 63’-ish Impala which last time I saw it, it was pretty much just the shell. Definitely worth a visit!!
Tabitha Avery
Fun stop for a weekend outing! The owners were very nice and answered questions that everyone had. Ernie let my kids sit in one of the cars- which they loved.
Meaghan Powell
Such a cool little place, no wonder celebrities stop by too. Thank you for letting us visit with such welcoming hospitality!!! Absolutely love your work and displays!!!
GJR
A must see for any car lover. Straight up works of love and art. The 64 Impala in the ‘Birthing Room’ was in process. Can’t wait to see that completed. Don’t forget to stop by the Rust Rooms!
Patricia Bee
Had a good time looking at the cars and hearing about how Ernie makes everything from using mason jars for lights and cutting down Toyota seats to fit in his cars. Very talented and beautiful cars.
Will return with the husband in the winter!
Claude Hepworth
Wow what a great place full of memories and incredible custom works of art and proof of what is possible when you put your mind and imagination and skill to work. I'm really glad I made an effort to come all the way out here to see the Dwarf Car Museum.
MiMi J
A most wonderful experience. The skill level of Ernie Adams, the builder, is nothing short of amazing. Each dwarf car is completely hand built from the ground up. Castings, body work and the fabrication is all done right there on the premises, taking up to 5 years per car. A great once in a lifetime experience. Even Jay Leno has been to the Dwarf Car Museum in Maricopa, AZ, USA. Well worth the time. $5 per person over 10 years old. 5 Stars
Christopher Lucero
Free attraction! Donate if you want. There is a lot to look at. Ernie is the first creator of the Dwarf car. He was also a championship race-car driver. There are custom cars, old tools and appliances, and some very old toys for the kiddos to look at. You can expect to spend anywhere from an hour to a couple of hours here depending on your love of old stuff.
Dee Dutton
This was so awesome to see, Ernie that builds them was there. Everything is hand done, it truly is something to check out. I'm from Utah and glad I went to see it.
Noemi Figueroa
Great experience. Mind blowing skill and craftsmanship. I highly recommend visiting!
Marsha Lance
We weren't sure what to expect but we really enjoyed it here. They were very informative about the cars which were amazing!
Teri Kotch
What a treasure! So thankful for our friends that took us to this unique museum of "dwarfed" cars. It was such a treat to visit with Ernie & Gene and have plenty of time to hear them tell their stories. We are already planning to bring some more people to see this wonderful place.
Errol Heimlich
If you like cars or don't even like cars this place is super cool. All the cars are fabricated by hand. And I think most of them are Street legal.
AZboyinWI
To get out the house we drove out to see this. We had a WONDERFUL time! Quite interesting speaking w/Ernie (Gene was busy building but, did answer a few questions) We found 2 people who were fantastic to meet and really enjoyed their craftsmanship!! If in the area (& like cars) I highly recommend visiting here!
Jeffrey Rea
Fun place. $5. Great video and wonderful dwarf cars! Friendly atmosphere.
Trever Portrey
My wife and I have gone here twice. We are from Bellingham, Washington. Ernie is a great man to talk with. Not many like him anymore. His work is amazing. I've restored cars for 25 years and would love to learn the art he has mastered. Thank you, Ernie. Hope you are there the next time we visit.

We hadn't heard of the dwarf car museum before a family member suggested a visit. We didn't know what to expect before visiting this place, but we were pleasantly surprised. The cars are fun to see and display incredible workmanship and creativity. The shop itself is not that large, and 60 minutes might be enough for you to see everything. The staff (or volunteers?) were very friendly and showed us the cars that are currently being built, explaining some of the build process and even demonstrating some of the car features--fun to see what are normally full-size mechanisms, custom-fabricated at a slightly reduced scale. Everyone in our group, from 14 years old to 70, found something interesting.
DD HH
These are scaled down replicas of real cars from the past. The work these guys have done is painstaking and amazing. They are friendly and will tell you how they made everything if you are inclined to ask. Definitely worth visiting if you like classic cars.
Brian Whitehead
If you are close by this is something everyone should try to get to. Ernie is a great guy and full of ideas plus so willing to share his knowledge.
There is no actual "fee" to enter and, check everything out but there is a donation box. I have gone multiple times.
Sheryl Weber
We live in Maricopa and everyone who comes to visit, we take to this awesome museum. The mini cars are so cool. All family members of any age will enjoy!!
Chris Pfaff
Amazing place. Small little stop with tons of flavor. Ernie and the crew are amazing to talk to, with tons of stories and knowledge. If you like cars, machining, engineering, or just plain oddities this is the place to stop to. Be sure to bring a pack of Miller high Life and you won't be let down. Awesome history!
Smiiley Belle
It was absolutely fascinating and delightful. Mr. Adams himself greeted us along with his company. They were so sweet and he was so charming. It was warming to be around such good old-fashion and old-natured people. His work and dedication to his craft is really amazing. He is absolutely proud of his work as he well ought to be. They were all very personable and it is worth the trip.
SandJ
Visited yesterday, what a place!
Great museum and great people, could have spent the full day, so many interesting items.
The skill set of these guys is unreal.
Well worth a visit, just 10 minutes from Harrah's Ak Chin Casino Resort.
Tim Pederson
This was my second visit to this place. I was here a year ago, and when I walked in, a guy said; "Hey, weren't you here last year about this time?" Just goes to show how friendly these guys are.
The cars (and a boat) are are sized about 2/3rds of the vehicles they're patterned after. They're all working vehicles, and licensed.
It's kinda in the middle of nowhere, but if you're anywhere close, it's well worth the trip to see it.
Linda Wood
Eddie is an amazing man to create what he did with the tools he had to begin with. Talented, interesting, friendly. Don't forget to view the video
Kathleen Reinstra
WOW, VERY IMPRESSIVE.
Ernie, the owner has amazing talents.
Would love to go back.
No fee to enter, but a donation is appreciated.
Be sure to watch the video while there.
My husband and I are amazed at such talent he has
Eric
Awesome. if you love handmade custom dwarf cars, this is the place to visit. The owner is a great guy, I enjoyed picking his brain on how these cars were made. Pictures of Jay Leno and other celebs who visited on his walls. It was worth the trip out there.
Bill Phillips
Not your typical museum. It was a very unique and wonderful visit, a step back into my childhood reminding me of the garages in the neighborhood. We were greeted by a fire in the woodstove taking the chill off and were invited to sign the register and make ourselves comfortable. We walked among the cars and other copious amounts of memorabilia then sat in comfy chairs near the fire and talked with the proprietor and staff. Will visit again just to sit, feel comfortable and reminisce. It does seem like its in the middle of nowhere but its definately worth the journey.
Tim Hickox
Wow! Whether you built plastic scale model cars as a kid or still do, this place will blow you away! My brother met Ernie while visiting a car show somewhere in the US years ago. He said he'd promised to stop by the next time here in AZ. If you appreciate craftsmanship, attention to detail and American ingenuity this place will knock off your socks! Every car this guy Ernie made is a complete, fully functioning automobile - only in a scaled down size! The powerplants are not origional scaled down motors like V8's or straight 6's, just powerplants that would fit into the works of art he created.
His shop contains a plethora of wall hangings and memorabilia that inspired his works. Take the drive out to visit this incredible artist's labors of love! His craft is truly unique!
Tim from Sunny AZ.
Cal Vanden Brink
Being my first dwarf car experience I can't remember when I've seen more interesting Museum would recommend to anyone interested in cars. Cal
Steve Ben
Worth the drive from anywhere. Ernie's workmanship is amazing. Cars, antiques, gift shop and tons of automobile memorabilia. A must see for everyone.
Alice Feeney
Should be 10 stars!!
What a collection of history. What an amazing person to think of all these tools and then build them and then build cars that run, and run well. Thank you for sharing your home!
Tyler Lewis
Such a unique experience and a rare privilege on this visit to spend over an hour talking to Ernie one on one! As a metal craftsman, I walked away with a new ideas on how to shape metal and how to get so much down with so very little. Ernie is a true legend (though in his mind he is just a simple tinkerer). Aside from that, the museum is top notch and very well organized. Make sure to drop some cash in the donation box and bring some money to buy a DVD or T-Shirt.
buffalosoldiermm
Great museum and gift shop. Plenty of homemade and antique cars and equipment. My grandson really enjoyed exploring the grounds.
Jen Hamerlinck
This place was AMAZING! It is so hard to fathom that these cars are the size a small child could drive. The boat could be driven by a toddler, it's that small. The attention to detail is incredible. If you are near Maricopa, you need to visit!
Ted Farmer
True works of art. If you appreciate great craftsmanship and cars this place is a must see.
Bryan Mordt

We went on a Wednesday and were the only ones there and when the gal told Ernie we had never been there he stopped working on a car and came out and gave us a personal tour and being I had been in Autobody I had a lot of questions and he answered them all. Great guy!

Very cool and interesting 👍
Shiba Girl 54 “A41,14A” Valley of The Sun
Amazing do not miss spot. A ways off the beaten path but worth every mike. Hand crafted 5/8 miniature cars replucating a bygone era. Many collectibles, a Junk Garden and a small gift shop with some neat items. Ernie Adams is on hand 7 dats a week. Pull up a chair and have a chat in front of the fire while Ernie regales you on his stories and fabrication know how. Walk the property, where you find cars, washing machines, old machinery and Ernies crafting tools abound. Just outside of Maricopa, AZ. Its a $5.00 donation 10 and over. Children must be monitored and attended due to the nature of the shop.
sharon procopio
Absolutely awesome. So very coolcool. Amazing how he built the cars
Lisa Kempson
Wow! Ernie’s ability to create these cars is mind blowing! His story warms the heart and leaves me feeling such deep gratitude for what’s possible when we allow ourselves the freedom to create. I’m feeling so inspired!
You can spend hours, and not see everything. The entire property is filled with interesting antiques. If you’re passing through, you definitely don’t want to miss this incredible opportunity!
Lyle Zitske
If you love antiques, and are into old cars, put this on your bucket list of places to see. All the cars are hand built, in miniature.
Karen Horan
A gem in Maricopa, Arizona that even Jay Leno discovered! World famous, handmade dwarf cars that reach speeds of 100 m.p.h. Meet Mr. Adams the man behind the machine and maybe he'll tell you how he built his very first car. You won't believe it!
Craig Olsen
Amazing place with great history, definitely worth the stop or a special trip.
Make sure you ask lots of questions.
Deborah Binstock
Worth the drive to see! These cars are hand made to look exactly like the original full size model but only smaller. But they are drivable.
ALAN S
Absolutely amazing the detail in these cars it is worth the trip out there to go see if you're any kind of car person at all.
Lexi Chacon

We drove in from New Mexico just to go to the museum. This was the best money I ever spent. We will definitely go again. Ernie and his son were so informative and his cars are amazing. There is just to much to see in one visit. We felt so welcomed like we were old friends. Please go and please leave a donation.
Jeff Kanak
This place is free and open to public. It accepts donations but is truly a step back in time. The cars are made right in front of you, miniature in size but like someone took the "Honey ! I shrunk the kids "ray gun and made every thing small. Very cool.
David G
Great experience. Cool folks who know their stuff about cars.
Samantha Dawrs
This was an fun experience! I enjoyed seeing all the amazing cars and and watching and learning how they detail the cars. My boyfriend was like a kid in a candy shop, looking at and being around all the cars, tools and models. With the assistance and approved of Ernie, he even got to sit inside one of the cats displayed there!
We both had fun! I Highly recommended going here!
Todd Engle
I didn't know what to expect, and it was much more delightful than I pictured it. Both Ernie and Gene were on-site and answered all our questions. If you are a car builder, enthusiast or just like to see people enjoy their craft - this place is worth it.

Hill House Family Adventures
This is America and American ingenuity. Hard to find a place like this in this country that is so unique and the more you learn the more you'll be amazed.
Roger Dorge
Such a fantastic place to visit. Could spend days there looking at all the trinkets on the walls. The cars are a true work or art and you can see the passion Ernie has for them. Love going every time I am in the Phoenix area and seeing the progress on new projects!!!!! Highly recommend the trip out to see!!!

Every time I get to Az there are such amazing things to see the mountains the canyons and then you get in the desert and see the amazing dwarf car museum. Dwarf hand built cars of the past by Ernie and Gene their craftsmanship and engineering is for sure because of their passion for the past. For Anyone who loves old cars this is a must see place to visit.
Kenneth Freeman
Absolutely incredible. The Dwarf Cars are hand made from the ground up. About 3000 hours from start to finish is what it takes to build the Dwarfs. Every detail is carefully executed and the guide for building them, a photograph. Unbelievable!
James Bean
Amazing! The amount of work and attention to detail that went into each and every creation. The cars are works of art! The price is donation only, so this will not break your bankroll.
Good fun for all ages! Along with an informative video.

Sandra Spence
Very interesting, worth the trip. The gentleman is very talented. All the cars run and are street legal.
Carol Elliott
We really enjoyed looking at all those midget cars and seeing how they make them. They got lots of little cars and lots of neat stuff to look at. Had a great time yesterday there
Denise Crandall
We had the privelege today of visiting this incredible place. It's truly "old Arizona". The dwarf cars were great, as was visiting with the owner and the man who actually creates these perfect smaller to scale versions of different cars. These aren't table top size, they are actual drivable vehicles. It was fascinatung to see and learn about their fabrication. And in addition to these awesome dwarf vehicles, this place was also absolutely packed with Americana memorabilia. So much to look at! Highly recommend a visit or several. Well worth the drive!
Tony Haugebak
Cool welcoming laid back atmosphere while looking at some masterpieces. What a talent that guy has
Cayden G
The owners are so wonderful and friendly. They were willing to explain their awesome masterpieces. It is amazing the work they do making smaller replicas of vehicles from scratch. My boys really enjoyed their time there. Well worth going to see the beautiful cars.

Excellent experience. We loved the finished cars and it was interesting seeing in progress cars. The picture album showing the labor of love and step by step process was cool. They have clean restrooms, aka rust rooms. The guys there are very friendly and loaded with information.
Eileen Cowles
It is amazing the creativity and skill required to build these cars. The cars are intriguing and just plain cute! Ernie is very talented to be able to build these cars as he has. He is very friendly and willing to talk about his cars. Also a great video available to learn more about this endeavor.

My girlfriend was told about the dwarf Car Museum by her co-workers. So when her mom and brother came to visit us from CA, we decided to go.
Even though it was in the middle of farmland , this place was amazing! The owner Ernie Adams and his associates build the dwarf cars from scratch. They are all Amazing!!
His collection of cars and memorabilia is one of the best I've seen! All of us being car enthusiasts loved this place and will come again.
If you have the chance, come and visit. Ernie will come and greet you and make you feel welcomed. I highly recommend it!

C Curtis
My husband, our 4 children and I, really enjoyed our time at the Dwarf Car Museum.
We were amazed that these cars were built from scratch! 😱 So cool. 😎
Everyone was so nice. They even took our family picture for us, so our entire family could be in the photo. 🥰
My only wish is that there were multiple ways of donating.
Not many people carry cash these days, so having the option to donate through other means such as, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, etc., would have been nice. 😇
Until then, bring cash if you wanna donate.
Mitch Johnston
For a car guy or gal this place has a uniqueness with the cars and the builder who in my opinion is a artist as well as a engineer. Here are 2 examples.

Dwarf Car Museum: the hidden jewel of Maricopa, a must-see attraction for everyone with an interest in precision craftsmanship. View exact handmade scaled replicas of numerous cars, watch a video of the life of Ernie Adams who envisioned building his first functional scaled car using scrap metal of discarded refrigerators. Located south of Maricopa, admission is free, donations are appreciated.
Linda V
Cool dwarf sized cars... immaculately designed and kept. Small place, but fun
CynDir 2019
Experienced one of the most amazing museums today. What we thought would be a cool stop to stretch our legs a bit turned out to be 2 hours of OMG OMG OMG.
Ernie Adams started building miniature (dwarf) cars back in 1965 using nothing more than the metal shins and parts off of old refrigerators. (Didn’t know how to bend or shape metal at that time).
Every car you see in these pics are made by hand using homemade jigs, blowtorch, and hammer to form and mold the sheet metal body parts and wheels. Engines can range from motorcycles to Toyota’s. And BTW these cars all run and are street legal.
Ernie has a theater in his place that loops a 1 maybe 2 hour Video of how he started and how he hand builds these parts. (Incredible)
Jay Leno and Dennis Cage are among many car enthusiasts celebrities that have visited Erin’s museum.
What’s most amazing about this place is he’s located in the small out of the way town of Maricopa AZ. And yes you will drive dirt roads getting there.
Lastly there’s no admission but he does have a box for donations. (We filled it up)
Amazing craftsmanship from an amazing guy. We’ll definitely stop back because it would take an entire day to see everything.
Doug Winkler
Anyone who has ever worked on a car can appreciate how unique this place is. Seeing some of the photos of celebrities that have visited was also cool
Gary Stevens
Dwarf Car Museum is a display of talent the likes of which you can not duplicate .....
Once you see the amount of hours (work) it takes to complete one of their automobile's you will understand better their passion !!
Ron Spyker
Always a great place to visit. The work that goes into those dwarf cars is amazing! Ernie is so creative.
Cooper Stauss
Awesome people and a very interesting museum. Great hospitality. Worth the visit
Roadworn12
Visit this place!! This is a hidden gem for car guys and an awesome destination for anyone into old town hospitality and spectacular craftmanship.
Ernie is so amazing. His work leaves you speachless. He will give you the hands on tour, explain the finest of details on each car and do it as though you were the 1st people he's ever told it to.
The Museum has trinkets placed all over so you can spend an hour just looking at the walls.
His cars are unbelieveable. Mind blowing examples of superior craftmanship. It's one thing to build or rebuild a regular sized car that someone has done already. But to create a car from scratch on a different scale is a whole nother level. If you've ever restored a car and think you did an amazing job this place will humble you.
It's out there. Go thru the town of Maricopa and just keep going. Trust your GPS.
Donate to his incredible museum. Take business cards and spread the word.
In the top 5 underated Arizona destinations.
curtis reed
You have to go and check this place out. Please leave a good donation as the staff is friendly and awesome. My family enjoyed the tour and the temperature was definitely tolerable in the inside despite the AZ heat!

Old school style shop with some amazing hand built small/dwarf cars that are street legal and drive like regular cars up to 75/80 mph!
David Beck
Like a step back in time. Very friendly hard working folks with ingenuity. Definitely worth the drive to see it.
Eileen McCormick
This is really out there. We were excited about going here. Some really neat stuff. But apparently there was some kind of event going on Alot of people there giving off an unfriendly who are you. Go away vibe. I did like the sign out front. But didnt feel comfortable to snap a pic of it.
Russell Leier
Wonderful museum south of Maricopa. Donations welcome. Several Dwarf cars in the museum in addition to being able to see others still being built.
Roy Parsons
Really a unique experience! The owner has built all these dwarf cars out of misc. Parts and pieces including washing machines. This is all in his shop area with cars that he is still building. Lots of antiques and signs on the walls plus a good movie that help you understand the process. Admission is a donation of whatever you feel.
Pete Masiel

What a neat place to see. The owner and builder was there to visit with his guests. Ernie was a great guy to talk with, very open has to the building of his cars and a great story teller.
Don Catalano
Ernie has basically opened his home to the world. He builds and maintains these awesome vehicles single-handedly. The skill and craftsmanship are evident in every one of his creations. His love of his work is very evident. Go there if you can...you won't be sorry. Oh, and don't forget, although admission is free, operation comes out of his pocket, so don't hesitate to leave a donation.

Used Groupon, It was more of a garage Atmosphere than a museum. They were under construction for improvement. It would be nice if they had a tour guide to make it more interesting and interactive. Really like reminiscing the cars that went with the movies I have seen.
Michael Maxwell
There is an amazing amount of work that goes into each of these hand built cars. It's not very large, but what there is is fascinating. Worth a visit - and don't forget to donate.
J S
We drove from the Gilbert area to check this out after seeing th Thee garage on Facebook and Google search on car museums. It was well worth the drive in the desert. We tried to get there early enough to avoid the heat of the day when it got to 108! The garage is sort of air conditioned so it wasn't stifling. We got to see the owner Ernie Adams and talk to him about his cars. We watched a video of the history of the cars and that helped when talking to Ernie. He is a gem! His cars are exquisitely built and wonderfully painted. He started one of the cars up and showed us how he can actually get in and drive it.
Roland Ho Jr. (Naturol)
Now this is not your average museum, but if your a car lover you may want to check it out.
Yup, hand crafted dwarf cars. They're all fully operational and drivable. Built with Toyota drivetrains.
Family run, with a small town country feel.
In fact, there is no admission fee, just donations accepted. That should tell you, it's jus a labor of love.
