Reviews of Omaha Children's Museum
Sarah Cade
AWESOME Children's Museum! So much to do that you need at least 3 hours to check out the different rooms. We spent 5 hours and my kids were still upset to leave! Plenty of areas that are designated to different kinds of play - water, pretend play (kitchens, stores, doctor, farm, dress up, etc) painting/art, kinesthetic/active, diversity (The India room 😍), plus a train & carousel ride! We will be going again!
Anthony Hug
So much fun! The kids had a absolute blast running around playing. There is so much to do and learn. They put on experiments for the kids and craft building. Super cool place recommend 100 percent for kids. It was clean and well kept!
Caleb Shelburne
Such a fun children’s museum! It has a ton of exhibits and interactive activities. It’s a bit smaller than some other major kids museums we have been to, but it still has a lot packed in. Our kids really enjoyed it.
Matthew Gravelyn
If you’re looking for something for the kids, this is the place. The exhibits are all great for getting energy out, especially when it’s cold outside. There was a lot to do and see, so you could spend the day there. The little concession stand up on the 2nd floor is a great place to pause and eat, and then head back downstairs for imagination land and the gift shop. Other than it being super busy on the weekend, and the very limited parking, we had a blast. Plan to bring quarters for the street parking meters!
Erika Wegele
My 8 year old and 11 month old were both able to enjoy different things here, so definitely a place for any age. All of the activities are interactive. It was extremely clean for a kids place. The gift shop was inexpensive for a kids place. The staff were all extremely friendly. Highly recommend as a place to visit with kids.

My girls had. Really good time. Even my 11 year said she had a lot of fun. It's well kept and clean. I saw other reviews saying the Cafe is pricey but we ate there and it was 4 of us it was $27 but each got a slice of pizza. 3 slushies, 4 bags of chips, a bottle water, a hot dog and a soft pretzel with cheese. That seems like we got a lot for what we paid. Can't wait to go back.
Ciara Wade
Lots of fun and exciting hands on exhibits! Very diverse and inclusive. It was also chaos and a bit hard to keep track of the kids (we had 2 adults with 5 children). Overall very clean!
JAIMIE B
So much fun stuff to do hear for all ages from arts & crafts, jewelry making, face painting, putting on a play, mirror maze, zip line, merry go round, train ride, grocery store, pizza shop, bank, doctors office, fire station, farm & so much more. Every age kid will have a blast here & they give a huge discount if you r a food stamp or WIC recipient.
Bethany Simpson
Great for the kids. The food is OVERPRICED! They don’t make sense tbh, like they could make Costco prices on the food and snacks there for kids. Danced with a robot that was dope and playing in ball room is also dope. Go have fun here for the kids but adults have fun too. ☺️
Terrell Ennis
Amazing place for kids! Absolute must for anyone who is visiting, wants to have a fun family outing, or just a fun educational way to burn the energy out of your kids. Thank me later. Even as an adult I have just as much fun as the kids do. Alittle something there for everyone. New train ride and carousel ride are $3.00 per ticket! Enjoy friends!
Jamie Campbell
We love the Omaha Children's Museum! My Girl Scouts troop volunteered their time at Santa's Milk & Cookies weekend and served the community. Such a great weekend & something for everyone there!
Jessica Montaño
This is a good place for all ages. They have an infant room (where they require shoe covers), and then my 15m old had a great time in all the other areas. the best age range would be 5-10. They have areas that would suit older kids too. The train ride was great! The science show was awesome too!! The ball room was our favorite.
lumber buck
Hours of good clean activities, crafts science shows train rides & merry go round
The youngings will get much needed exercise. just might nap on the way back home.. here's just a couple of activities.
Liam D
Such a fun interactive place for the kids. Our kids gravitated towards the arts activities and the STEM space working on various items that pertain to gravity. A great place to explore with your kids and see their eyes and imagination ignite.
Splendid Balloons
First time visitors to the Omaha children's museum we had a great time.
Entry was $15 each. Started with leaning about water flow and dams. We then moved on to the ball area and creative center. We soon learned there was way too much to explore in one day as we continued to find tons a activity including legos, rock climbing, story telling, and more.
After about 45 minutes we moved upstairs to the game and physical activities. Our boy was a big fan or the basketball and zoo area especially the elephant slide. Played a game of candy land, rode the ferris wheel and the train which were about 5 mins each. The ferris wheel and train required purchasing tickets for $2.50.
No snacks today as the snack bar was closed and we went at the end of the day.
Tons of benches to sit on, temp was just right, and the boy had a blast. When asked...The boy gave it a thumbs up and I would agree.

Our kids love this place. So much to do that a membership is 100% worth it because it’s impossible to do it all in one day. It ignites all of the senses! I love that they are always keeping things new and interesting with various themes and special events. It’s also incredibly easy to get in and out, so you can really maximize your time here, even if you only have an hour or two.
Their app is just one more way that they stay current with times and trends. So easy to open it up and access my membership card and view my benefits.
Christine Elgaaen
Very interactive tons of fun things to do. We took babies that weren't quit a year and they were a little overwhelmed with all the kids and the noise I think we will definitely go back when they are walking and at least 2. There was a place for little babies and they liked touching the water.
Tiffany Barone
My child loves this place! The rotating exhibits are always great! We love the holiday and other special events throughout the year. I love watching my child learn new things and practice skills while he is having fun playing! The employees are always kind, friendly, and helpful.
Kaitlyn Hopkins
Love this way more than the children’s museum in Lincoln, my niece and I had so much fun. The science show was engaging and funny and there was a lot to do. Spent 2.5 hours there and probably could’ve stayed longer. Well worth the money on a rainy day
Amanda mcguire
My son went to summer camp here, 4 separate camps over a span of two weeks. He did things out of his comfort zone yet came home with a smile on his face and a handful of projects he completed each day. I highly suggest signing your child up for any of the camps they offer next year.
Sara Wiley
A lot of space and activities for kids! Mostly pleasant staff and they put on fun events for kids! We appreciate the low income pricing as we come from out of state whenever we go to my full day doctor appointments - this gives my son something to do with his dad instead of having to wait at the hospital with me.
Amanda Bulbulian
Really cool exhibits! Lots to do and my boys loved the train and carousel. Only complaint was that it was way too crowded.
Sunil Bolisetty
I have mixed opinions about this place. The place is good for kids no question about it. There are a lot of interesting activities that will raise the curiosity of young brians. But I wonder why this place is called museum. It's more like a play area with many themes. The Hy-Vee store is most probably the most interesting place.
06/26/2022 - There is a new Namaste India theme with many booths. It had Tajmahal, Indian class room, Dhaba, Tuk Tuk auto, Indian kitchen, Bollywood etc. If one wants to learn Indian culture this is worth a try. I am not sure if this is seasonal or would stay here for long so please visit while you can.
Bonus: There are Indian costumes to try out.
Muhammed Rasheduzzaman
This is very good for very young children. Some toy stations were out of work. In my opinion the rides are bit expensive. Expecting to add some more options for the 8+ agers but they did have good parking lots.
Casey Mourer
Always a fun experience! Unsure of ticket costs because I have a membership, which I 10/10 would recommend!
A Scrutch
We had an amazing time at the Omaha Children's Museum! We have a 6 year old and a 2 1/2 year old and they had so much fun. The activities were perfectly age appropriate and engaging, without feeling like they were learning, which we love, lol. We spent almost 2 hours there and ate a really kid-friendly lunch at their rainbow cafe (lunchables, uncrustables, hot dogs, brats, pretzels, hummus cups. chips, deli cheese, juice, soda, water...). We saw numerous employees wiping down equipment and cleaning the activities, which we can appreciate anytime, but especially during a Covid pandemic, lol. We've been to 3 or 4 children's museums and I think this is my fave!
Acidpoptartz 1
Easy to get in and kids bad blast. Can get busy so parking can be a pain. If they added more parking then I give it 5 stars. Some thing else to mention they have sensory days and sensory kits for special need children.
Kyle Beswick (Bezzquik)
Pretty small place. The upstairs featured exhibit is pretty underwhelming. However, it's decently well maintained, the kids enjoy it well enough, there are a handful of pretty interesting things, and the staff are great. Not sure it is worth full admission but last hour discount admission is worth it.
Bri • Briana • Brandy B.
The baby had fun too!
The bigger kids have been here a few times so they run all over the place, took our 10 month old for the first time and she had a ball. The main exibits always update so there's always something new when we come, which is about every 6 mos or so, but plan on coming more often.
As a local there are deals, just ask the front desk.
Mark Lickliter
Went there for Phoebe's ISD event and had a wonderful experience! Met these kind-hearted astronauts while we were there!
Sharon Carr
We had a ton of fun here! Masks enforced during covid, lots of staff around wiping things down all the time. My 4 year old had a blast!
Caitlin Ratzlaff
All of the staff members are super helpful and kind. Go above and beyond to make sure kids are having a fun time and safe. This is probably one of our favorite memberships.
Lacey Randall
Children’s museum is always a winner. Can be busy, so if crowds aren’t your thing try to go during their least busy times. I love all the different areas and opportunities for kids to express their creativity in many different ways. Bathrooms have step stools suited to help kids wash their hands more easily. Many spaces to sit and eat a snack. You are allowed to bring in your own food and drink. All food and drink is only allowed to be consumed in designated food areas. There are also areas to purchase food as well. Special areas designated for babies so they can explore safely, too.
Mary “Duchess”
So much to do!!!! Kids loved it!!! The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because adults are charged the same price as the children ($14) and there isn't much of anything for us. In the dinosaur exhibit area, all of the parents and grandparents were just standing around. Plus the train and carousel are a separate charge. Other than that it's pretty cool.
julie s
I recently purchased a family membership for my daughter and her family as a Christmas gift. It was easy, online and inexpensive. The children’s museum captivates my two year old granddaughter, and her little baby brother. It is a great place to go for children and adults.
Tim Odum
Great place to let kids have fun! Just try to keep an eye on'em.
Emily Lynch
The Children’s museum is always a great place to take the kids and spend the entire day. The variety of stations keeps us moving and attracts all different types of likes. Our 5 year old son and 3 year old daughter have different interests yet they manage to enjoy the entire time. The upstairs exhibits are always changing so the thrill always remains.
Fansntt
Very friendly staff and surfaces were constantly being disinfected. Everyone over 5 years old and in some cases younger were wearing masks properly. It was fun for the kid and felt safe.
Shelby Hanson
My kids adore this place. I love how it changes themes to keep them interested. Unlimited fun for kiddos
Cassie
Love this place there's so much for the kids to do here. They can let their imagination run wild. Awesome place. They have the dinosaur exhibit fun zone upstairs now. Also love the infant/baby area and that they have a room to breastfeed.
Brenda Kutzler
Had a great time with my Daughter and Grandson on his 4th Birthday..two floors of different play stations..I had a blast watching him get to explore everything...
Matt & Amy Garringer
One of our favorite places to visit! The upper level hosts traveling exhibits so it is always changing and the lower level teaches kids about grocery shopping, farming, banking, health, physics, etc. We have three kids ages 12, 6 and 3 and they ALL love it there! Staff is always friendly, helpful and engaged. Two thumbs up!
Brendan Walker
We've been here twice and absolutely love it. The science show was very entertaining and educational for the kids. The upstairs ball room is really neat. I'm not sure if more kids or adults play with the balls.
There's plenty of seating for parents to relax while the kids play.
The princess sing-along is must for my girls.
Stephen Hunter
Lots of activities for kids, a great option especially in cold weather. Definitely recommend at least one adult per small child under 5 as it is very busy
Cory Bennett
So much fun for the whole family! We are from out of state but have family near Omaha and the Children's Museum is always on our list of places to visit. The rotating exhibits are always well done and the "ball room" seems to be the highlight of the trip. The new "maker/stem space" is a good addition but we had to wait so long (over 30 min) my boys got tired of waiting and wanted to explore other parts of the museum...so we never got to create anything here.
brandi anderson
The exhibits are always great. The staff are always super nice and helpful. My little family LOVES going there. A membership is highly recommended. Must go check it out.
Julia Thompson
Great experience for myself and my 2 year old. There are endless activities for children to engage with. We went on a week day during the end of the day and it was as just right.
Tarra Steele
Awesome amazing, and one of the main reasons I love Omaha! My little one has so much fun here and will for years to come since it’s for all ages! They have a wiggle room for the infants with a private beautiful breastfeeding station, all the way to face paint and DIY arts n crafts. They are always changing stuff so there is always surprises. And up stairs there is a carousel and train (just 2$) and a snack place with fair prices on kid friendly food... kids under 2 free! Adults 13$ If you have EBT its even cheaper to get in! **please press the like button below! Thanks**
Aniuvis
A good quality time for your kids for all ages, my kid love this place a run fun things to do
Matt Mount
Great place to take your kids. So much to do. Definitely worth the family pass
Kassandra Rodriguez
We enjoyed are visit to the children's museum. There are a lot of different activites, and even demonstrations to participate in. I like that they always have new exhibits when we go to visit. There is a small cafe where you can buy snacks and drinks. It is a bit over priced for what you get, and there are not really any healthy options. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Also the entire place is pretty clean, and kept pretty orderly.
Roni Wright
Great place to spend the day. I take my great nieces there 2 or times a month. The passes are worth it. There is always something new to do and it keeps the 4 and also 2 year old very happy!
Kansas Ritch
We love it here! My toddler had so much fun.
Alan Haarstad
We were only in town for the day, but I'm glad we stopped by the Omaha Children's Museum! It's a great place for our preschoolers to get out some energy. There is an exhibit for every interest and ability level. So much learning and playing, in such a vibrant atmosphere! Also, I've been to smaller children's museums that have the same yearly rate. A great bargain! New exhibits were being built while we were there so it'll fresh next time. Awesome time!
Deb Scoular
Fun for all ages! So much to do and see and something new every time we go.
Jennifer Harmon
This is a great place for the family, particularly elementary students and younger. It is kept clean and there is plenty of room despite all the people. I know this isn't the museum's fault, but I wish there was even more to it. As we have visited more children museums, this one seems less organized or have less defined spaces as other children museums. All in all, it is still a fun place for kids of all ages!
Vanessa Young
My kiddos loved it and we had a great time!
Tabetha North
We had sooo much fun! There are activities for everyone. The Fairytale Ball event was great! We will definitely be back!
Amanda Sway Real Estate Agent
My kids absolutely love coming here. When their grandparents are in town, they love taking them here. Isn’t an overwhelming environment, and there is plenty for them to do. Love taking the nieces and nephews here too from out of state.
Jenny Tran
Good indoor places for kiddos, we got membership for 2 years here. My kids love OCM, they can spend all day here. Staff are friendly and helpful. Thanks for what you did, doing and will do.
Lindsay Cassidy
Great place to let the kids burn off some energy and have a blast! I love the new DinoConstrux they have upstairs right now. So much fun! They change out the upstairs exhibit so there’s often something new!
Expect to get a cold about 5-7 days later as there’s always some new germs lurking about. But it’s usually worth it for us.
Garrett Feddersen
One of the best children's museums we've been too, kids had so much fun.
Steffanie Kellogg
Loved visiting. It's a little pricey, bit totally worth it. You could easily spend a whole day here.
Danielle Holle
This was an amazing children's museum! Perfect for all ages. There was so many different activities and the staff was wonderful. Definitely plan on spending most of the day here.
Brittany
I take the kids I nanny there a bunch of times since they have a membership. It's always a fun time for them. And everybody there is so kind and caring! It is usually always clean too!
J S
Too crowded, expensive and the place isn't big enough for the kids to experience the displays. This causes some clashes when the kids run around. Parents should watch their kids better.
Msp Pargas
Took my boy out to run around, we had a blast with everything there is to do. Also built a paper rocket and was able to shoot it out of the air tubes.
Zane Ecklund
This place was pretty cool. We got free tickets which was great because my kid is so young I feel like we wouldn't have got our money's worth otherwise.
The parking lot sucks though. I may have imagined this but it seemed like the spaces were narrower than average to cram in more cars. Either that or everyone there just parked like a moron
Emily Wise
So much fun! My 7 year old daughter and I went today for the first time. The staff was amazingly friendly and seemed to really enjoy working there, the prices were very reasonable, and there was so much to do!
William Mihalo
Great place for children of all ages. Taken a toddler to the wiggle room, water table, and Forever Forest. Other parts of the museum are for older children. Take the stairs up to the second level. Each stair generates a musical tone or sound effect. The Forever Forest was replaced by an exhibit about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The TMNT exhibit is now gone and will be replaced with another exhibit. Other recent exhibits on the second floor include one on sports and more recently storybook creatures. The next exhibit will be on dinosaurs. The second floor has new exhibits every few months.
Zach Stainbrook
Could not reccomend this place higher. Was surprised that it was bigger than I expected every time I turned the corner, the kids absolutely loved it. Should have planned to spend all day here. Employees were a highlight as well, not only were they all extremely kind and helpful, there was a child that briefly went missing while we were there and once the staff was notified, they quickly and efficiently reunited the family. I was beyond impressed by my experience here
Patty Udell
My granddaughters had a great time. Loved the ball area and the carousel
Michael Dunkin
Many things for children to do. Arts, science, games, many learning opportunities! Clean. Lots of helpful staff. Sports, too much stuff to mention. Plan on spending quite a bit of time here
Mercedes Karr
What a wonderful experience!
Our little (though small) had a great time exploring. Would definitely go back!!!
Brittany Reynolds
Amazing but parking was crazy.
Jon Quandt
Great variety of activities for our 2.5 year old! The space upstairs was awesome with magnetic fishing, a campsite, and a house that kids could build and take apart (including the siding and faux insulation batts. Really cool!
Marcus Gomez
Great Omaha Landmark! We had our son's birthday here and the host was awesome and very attentive. Our whole party had a great day!
Heather Deuel
So many activities! My daughter absolutely loves the water table, but also enjoys checking out the other stations and new exhibits. I love that they have several bathrooms, as well as a peaceful nursing room for mothers who would prefer privacy.
Mariah Stevens
We have enjoyed our trips to the Children's Museum each time we go! The staff is friendly and cheerful. I love that there is something for every age group of kids, as well as changing themes. Another fantastic thing is that there are bathrooms (including family bathrooms) located all throughout the facility. You don't have to travel far with your toddler who is potty training. They are not just pro LGBTQ+, they introduce themselves with their pronouns and there are a few pride flags. This is important to some families, but not mine. I don't agree with pushing this agenda on children, so that's the only reason I give them 4 stars.
Greg Nelson
Spent a day here open until almost closing time. My 3 yr old loved it. Her favorite was the "Hy-Vee" shopping center. Should be called "Children's Playplace" instead of "Children's Museum"! Dinosaurs was the temporary exhibit upstairs at this time.
Joe Harrington
My grand daughter had a wonderful time playing. Very warm in the building, should have worn shorts and a t-shirt.
Kennedy Henry
Omaha Children Museum is a get way to get the kids out the house for a few hours. My younger two, ages 2and 6 loves this place. We visit multiple times a year. A membership is the best value for your dollar. Especially if you have a big family as I.
Cheryl Courtier
I haven't been here for decades,my son went in school, he's 35,my daughter comes often, very impressive, and great for kids to learn and play.
Laurence Burton
Very nice place for kids of all ages. It is structured so that all kids can have great experience, from infants to adults!
Kylie Keys
Had a blast going here with my daughter it was kind of packed with little to do, there was no exhibit but had fun chasing her around to each room themed unit.. I'm not sure if they change it up or if it stays the same.. didn't see much staff around cleaning surfaces much which I was a little nervous for bc she did end up getting upper respiratory cold symptoms a week after :(
Melissa Hill
While visiting family in Nebraska we decided to bring our one year-old to three children's museum. We chose the Omaha location over Lincoln because of the water table they advertised. Being younger, my son couldn't participate in many of the areas due simply to age but we expected that. The baby play area was wonderful and clean. The water table was amazing. Our son loves water and he spent a good 30minutes fully entertained. He would have stayed there longer but we pulled him away to explore more of the space. The rain jackets provided were nice to have, and while I did bring an extra set of clothes for him anticipating the water, we didn't need to change him due to the coat. We will probably visit again when we are out that way visiting family and he's a bit older and able to enjoy more of the museum.
Abraham Wilton
Always a new experience, my kids enjoy the museum everytime.
Gina Reese
There is so much for kids to do and experience here! I love taking my nephews here.
Shawn Stockemer
Wow! If you're in the Omaha area and have kids this is a fantastic place to visit. There are hours and activities for kids of all ages to enjoy. Add to that the special exhibits (had a space exhibit when we were there) and you're kids will have a blast. Friendly staff and plenty to do. They even have an area for infants so there really is something for everyone.
Jackie J
Omaha children's museum Is a great place to take your children. They have many activities for all kids To do and it is very hands on. Me and my brother's family go every time we're on vacation in Nebraska. My brother's children are 3 and 8 And they both had a wonderful time there.
STEPHANIE
Fun place to take the kiddos, enjoy all the special events. Kids love it!
Mike Hickman
Family vacation, we loved it. A ton of stuff to do and keep the kids busy. Time flew while we were in there, would highly recommend
Frederick Brown
Lots of fun. Great place to unwind with your children and spend time with them and enjoy building mini projects for fun etc
Bryan Neemann
A bit expensive for me, but my daughter had a good time. That's all that really matters.
Lehr Dircks
We love going to the Children's museum. My 3 year old always has a blast and they do a good job of bringing in new attractions. It has been weeks and he is still talking about the space exhibit. We really like the different shows and programs they do. The science show is very fun. I understand that in the summer they have a lot going on with camps and such but we missed the cooking class and other programs. I also recently found out they have a cool deal setup with the Omaha Public Library to get passes if you can't afford admission.
M C
More geared towards the 11 and under kids crowd but soooo much fun!
Maria Sollenberger
Great layout and so much to do there! Carousel & train tickets are an extra $2.50 but an Adult is free with children under 40inches
Kimberly McGuire
So much fun!! Our 12 and 8 year old had a blast - especially in the "ball room". We also spent some time making Martians in the special Space exhibit. Parking lot is free and most of the museum is disabled accessible.
Joey Mills
You can't really go wrong with the OCM. The kids love it and burn off energy while learning/exploring. The OCM rotates exhibits on the upper floor often and they do themed guest days like princesses, Paw Patrol, and PJ Masks. The science shows are fun for the kids and parents alike. They also have a Merry-go-round and space for kid parties. Give it a go if you have kids. Well worth the admission or member fee.
Amy Rice
Great place to spend several hours or a day with kids. So much to see and do! Kid heaven.
katie bright
Went to dc vs marvel had super hero themed activity's for free including super hero masks
Michael Castelaz
The Omaha Children's Museum is a lot of fun.
The first floor is like a whole world for kids to explore. There's a gas station, a grocery store, a bank, a water feature, a kitchen, an auto mechanic, a treehouse, hospital, barn, mini Platte river... Basically like a condensed version of little town for them to explore and interact.
There are rotating exhibits upstairs, a train and a carousel, and a ton of other stuff. It's a blast.
Seems geared more towards kids 10 and under.
Jessica Quintana
We loved it! I think I may have enjoyed the tinker shop and art center a little more then my kids. 😁 I highly recommend for all ages of families! We bought a family membership just because it is reasonable to have it to go even 2 times in a year. We can't wait to go back.
C Knox
So excellent we purchased a membership even though we live in another town, lol. Many different rooms with different types of activities like science, cultures, water play and etc. Plenty to do and even when it's quite busy, still enough space for your little one to stay engaged! We love the space area and of course the ball area is great too. At $15 per person over the age of 2 (I think) if you go a few times per year it's worth it to get a membership....plus you get reciprocal entry to other museums like Exploration Place in Wichita or the awesome science museum in St. Louis!
Ashley Holbrook
This really is such a cool place to bring kids! There's so much to do
Amber Morton
My kids always love coming here! There is so much to do! Love that the themes change throughout the year so there is always something new to learn and do! Amazing staff! It is truly a fun experience for kiddos and parents alike!
Jesse Hall
Some of the attractions were down or not functioning when we visited. I do like how they change things up as far as exhibits go.
Amber Osgood
Was a great place for my little girl to let off some steam while we were on vacation. Highly recommend! Was a little loud but that's how it should be! :)
George Turner
Love this place and the diverse attractions they have. We take the kids regularly. The regular activities are fun and engaging, and they circulate new ones regularly. The staff is friendly and interactive.
The food isn’t the best so I’d bring lunch if you’re planning on coming around feeding time, but it’s nice to have the option to purchase food if you didn’t bring your own.
Victoria Patton
Great place for kids to run around and explore. They've got a sensory map at the front desk for those who might need to be aware of different stimulus. There's a place for kids to build things with tools,a place to color and scan in a picture and it gets added to a big screen "movie" scene, a place for dance, self face painting, automotive, a visiting space section, a visiting India section, an area for water table play, a grocery store area... Just lots of hands on for the kids to play with, explore and use their imaginations. There is an area upstairs for eating and there is food and drink for purchase. There's also a train and merry go round upstairs that you can ride with the purchase of a ticket.
Krystal Roby
Always a great time there and when the kids get sick of one area we go to another. There are enough centers to cycle through without getting bored! Educational aims a great staff.
Shirley Le
Our family loves the Children’s Museum! We have been going for years and it has only gotten better over time. I was wanting to let others know what they mean by a healthy trick or treating experience. I was trying to do some research about it before we went and found nothing of what to expect or what the kiddos would get. We had a great time. You are able to trick or treat and still enjoy the full museum. There is a map to help guide you to the stations. They gave out stuff such as toothpaste and a tooth brush. They also gave out healthy snack like apple sauce and cheese crackers with peanut butter in them. I recommend this event for kids ages 0-12 years old. They do serve food here, however it is pricey. You are able to bring your own food in with you. They have an eating area just for this. It is located to the left just as you come in the building. The bathrooms over all are usually pretty clean. Plus they are easy to use for little ones. They have small toilets and sinks for them it’s great. The staff here are very friendly and helpful.
Adam B.
Great new exhibits really flesh out this museum, including the dino construction zone upstairs and the MENA region tour.
Wendy Thurman
My cute kids spent two days in a row and want to go back for a third day.
Sarah Trader
We went for the Monster Mask-arade Halloween event. It was very well organized, a lot of safety standards in place and great treats and activities for the kids. Staff was very friendly. Several staff members stopped to talk to my kids about their costumes. Exhibits were great as always and very clean. New bug exhibit is cool!
katrina eilers
The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and patient! There is an obscene amount of activities to try, so definitely plan for more than one day.
Anna Kehl
So great for kids let’s them explore and get out some energy
Amanda Gleason
A little dated, but we enjoyed 2.5 hours there. The kids liked the ball area and the rockets the best. They’re reciprocal with ASTC memberships (mostly science museums), so we were able to stop by while in town and play for free. We’d pay to go again.

Shout-out to Omaha Children's Museum's staff. One of my girls took a fall in the parking lot, so we went back inside to get cleaned off and ask for a bandaid. Instead of just getting us a band-aid, they took complete care of her, getting all the sand off her, cleaning the cuts and bandaging her all up. Thank you OCM! 💕🥰
Isabel Arciga
My son, daughter and myself enjoy the place we have fun as family.
Josh Irish
Awesome place to bring your kids. Alot to do with them
Stephanie Slaughter
My kids had a blast! A great place for kids to be able to touch and play!
Tracy
It was very crowded on the weekend. Parking was limited but if you go during lunch you might get lucky as people go out for lunch. They have extra parking across the street but with kids it's harder to walk a short distance and cross the major street. The place inside was crowded also but they have lots of stuffs for kids to do. Just wish it was somehow space out a bit. The upstairs has a train and carousel ride along with a snack bar. Each ride is 2.50 when we were there. They also have gem bags starting at $8. Tickets are self-service. The workers were attentive and walked around to check and clean up items around such as the painting area. This place is good for kids under 8 yrs old though. We got a membership so will return another time.
Erik Frey
Very neat place. Lots of different areas to see. It was pretty busy. My favorite was the ball vacuum tubes.
Ryan McIntosh
Just OK. Definitely geared toward very young kids (6 and under) with just a few items for older kids. My kids (7 + 10) didn't find much of interest. We lasted about an hour.
The role play area (grocery store, bank, farm, etc) was extremely unorganized and not clean. We have been to other children's museums with similar areas that had staff constantly working in the area to keep it orderly and clean. Here there was no staff making any effort.
The upstairs was empty when we visited except for the two rides (upcharge).
In general not a great value.
If you have little kids I would give it 3 stars (maybe 4). If you have older kids (7+) it is 2 stars at best.
R Rodriguez
Kiddo had a blast here, staff is very friendly as well.
Vicky Gunkel
Such a great children's museum. My gkids loved everything, especially the makerspace. I loved the pneumatic room myself. There's something for bsbies through 12-14 year old kiddos, especially if the older ones sre interested in design of STEM robotics, etc.
Courtney Peterson
One of the best children's museums! Includes mini city, water table, face painting, multiple art stations, STEAM exhibits, science shows, travelling exhibits, and tons more!
Alena
We were afraid our "older kids" would be bored here, but they loved it! Lots to see and do for all ages. Kept the kids busy and happy on a hot afternoon.
Sarah Kladstrup
We had a blast and will be back again soon!
Michelle Griffin
You have to take your little one's here! My kid's loved it and so did I!
Vicki DeVoss
This place is fascinating for young people. It affords play with purpose and fun. It lets children explore interesting aspects of thir day-to-day life which adults may take for granted but which are exciting to kids. Also they get to try for themselves things they can only observe adults doing in normal life. The day we took 5 kids ages 7- 10 the place was packed. I didn't hear discontented sounds anywhere. Amazing given number and range of ages.
My favorite was the workshop with real tools and materials where kids and adults could build things they designed. The kids with us were fascinated.
The teen agers in the family had other activities but recounted their memories and desire to visit again in the future. Pretty amazing.
Rebecca Williamson-Branch
The ball room is epic. You can leave and re-enter the museum as often as you like in a day. Additional things like train, carousel and panning for gems will cost extra. I appreciate that they have their own free parking.
Mike Young
Great fun for the whole family, not just kids! Lots of cool experiments to do, build and compete with your own paper rocket, etc. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to have a great day with family with lots of great opportunities to teach kids!
David Gray
Fun place. Really great for kids and very creative. They even have a grocery store with a fake Coke remix.
The stair case had sensors that triggered sounds. Just a bunch of little touches that w work well for inquisitive minds.
Tiffaney Grimes
Great place for kids to be kids and explore and play with science, art, and the world around them. The crowd was a bit thick in places making pictures awkward and most (like 99%) were unmasked in spite of the MANY signs encouraging them and free masks at the front in plain sight. The facility is very clean and easy to find bathrooms and sanitizer. The staff are very helpful and kind and go out if their way to make the place fun even for the poor kids we saw who got lost in the crowds. Definitely will be going back but maybe on a weekday or one with sunny warm weather so the crowd will go elsewhere.
Kalina White
Always love bringing my kids here!!! We love the tinker room!
Jason Johnson
Little crowded, but it was spring break. Kids had a blast with a lot of activities.
Matt R
Pretty fun, expansive place that kept my 7yo entertained for a few hours. Alot of exhibits demonstrating everything from how balls react to a vacuum or a blower, the science of soap bubbles, to a mock-up of a grocery store. Our only down side is that they are doing 2 large add-ons and that took away alot of real estate inside the Museum.
** Museum has their own parking lot that is not metered**
luke stewart
Place was a fun past time if you have 2 hrs to kill , kids seemed to enjoy it.
P Limbach
My daughter loved it! Entry costs get you into everything except for thr merry-go-round and train rides. The staff was very polite and worked well with kids. The meal deals are a pretty good deal. They have pizza, hot dogs, mac and cheese, soft pretzels, chips, pop, slushies, and candy.
Lena G
Wow did this place have alot to do. 2 floors of jam packed fun. Totally worth the price. You need a FULL day here.
TWITCH Dean
My Grandson's absolutely love the museum! I do too!
Alan Larson
They have all the playground equipment from the old Richmond Gordman's department store upstairs! Talk about a blast from the past! I was happily blown away to see it all there, but a lil disappointed that there's no way I could possibly fit down the slide anymore 😩 I remember it being a lot bigger... …
Penny Franssen
Was great to be there with my daughter and granddaughter! We took my daughter when she was 3 or so. Just wish I could have had my sons and other grandkids there with us! Such a wonderful thing you do for the kids....keep up the good work! 🙂
Justin Hoyt
This place was probably great when it first opened up, but now it's disheveled, staffed with people that are clearly not engaged, and littered with broken exhibits. Food is absolutely awful, and it's pricey when you consider they are charging all of the adults for just standing there to watch over their kids. That being said, kids don't understand these things so they'll probably enjoy their time playing. As a parent, prepare to be disappointed when you see just how run down this place is. They really need to spruce up, and soon.
Kirsten Kolden
We had a blast at Minion Mayhem weekend. Children's museum of Omaha never disappoints
Mark Durante
Went for the first time with the kids recently. It's a great place for little kids to run around and have fun. A bit on the pricey side. If you can find memberships on a deal through the school or something then it is definitely worth it.
Emily Scott
I took my son because I’m a stay at home mom and he doesn’t go to daycare so I thought we should go out and be around other kids! I’ve never been there before and my son had a blast! The guy at the front recommended the wiggle room for his age but honestly my son thought it was boring haha it’s geared more towards babies and he’s 15months old and walking so it didn’t interest him at all. Everything else he absolutely loved. He had fun for at least 3 hours! And under 24months is free so I only had to pay for myself to get in so I’ll be sure to come back before he turns 2!
Tenessa Carodine
Kids had so much fun my nephew had a great party
Chris Zeman
My kids loved this place, they played and played and played. We will definitely be back sometime in the future we are in Omaha. Went on a busy Friday, plenty for kids to do and very friendly and helpful staff.
Deanna Sheldon
We took the grandbaby for her 3rd birthday. She loved it. We have a children's museum at home, but nowhere near this caliber. Wonderful experience, wish we lived closer.
Andrea Weber
This was a very fun experience for my three year old. There were always employees floating around to clean up. We will definitely go back again
Rebecca Sis
Great place for toddlers!!! My son is 3 and had an absolute blast! I did too! You can get through everything in about two hours but he would have stayed there all day if he could. We went on a Tuesday and got there right at 9am when it opened. There was no one there until about 10, but it was fun! The upstairs portion has a train and carousel, but you have to pay $2.50 per rode. Highly recommend! You do have to pay as an adult, but worth it.
Marie Sussman
Our 16 month old had a blast running around and discovering things. The guests were considerate and the employees were amazing.
Peggy Fender
Went with my grandsons kindergarten class. They had so much fun.
v4vDrJoker
Great place to take the kids and let them enjoy everything from art/crafts, basketball, shadow drawing, to a vacuum ball machine, mazes, and a carousel /train ride and soooo much more. Spent almost 3 hrs there and was perfect amount of time for the kids to enjoy themselves and not get too tired of doing the same thing. Was pretty busy, so be ready for the chaos of so many kids being over stimulated. Food & drinks and a gift shop are on site also. Along with rooms that it looks like you can rent for birthday parties and other get togethers. Great staff and clean environment on our visit. A+
EmilyElizabeth E
This is a great museum for kids 3 and up. I took my one year old and was disappointed by the toddler area. But the rest of the museum was clean and well staffed. The food inside was also affordable which was nice.
Matthew Beck
Glad to have this place. Great for indoor play. Exhibits cycle pretty regularly and there's always something fun happening. They do a great job resetting the areas and cleaning. If you're going to go more than once get a membership. If you're on the fence, you can apply the day pass price to the cost of the membership.
Kayce Kirby
We had SO MUCH FUN. There was so much variety. Not overly busy. Our local museum seems much more cluttered compared to this. The carousel and train were great additions! We also panned for goodies. Overall, a great day!
Stephanie Johnson
A wonderful place for children to come and learn, only thing I was disappointed in was no dinosaur section. My son loves dinosaurs and saw a trailer outside with dinosaurs on it and thought he would get to spend time in a dinosaur exhibit. Other than that disappointment we had a wonderful time!
Vanessa Dimmer
My kids love this place! We spent our Sunday walking around the place. They have lots of learning tools and the place is well-maintained. My kids learned a lot from this place. Will definitely go back.
Eric Waack
Fun place for the kids disappointed the upper floor was mostly a carnival you had to pay extra, however the first floor was amazing! Great experience overall!
Megan Harris
We came here for a vacation during the fourth of July weekend. My son had fun and it kept him entertained from when they opened till they closed. It was perfect for his age group.
Jack Casto
Absolutely amazing place for kids of all ages!!
Amber Perez
We LOVE this place! It’s been our favorite since moving here and we definitely renewed our membership for the second time! Staff is amazing!
Alexie L. Herrmann
Definitely worth getting a membership. Not a lot of healthy options of food in the rainbow cafe.
Ronny Smith
Great place to let your children explore their STEAM!
M NELSO
Used to love to take the kids to this children's museum over the years. On the last visit, 4.2022, it was clear that many of the exhibits were in need of repair. In my opinion the downstairs exhibits have become stale and could use a refresh. At the time of our visit the upstairs was under construction so no opinion on that, but it is sad the musical stairs are not working 100%. I'm guessing covid was not kind to this place since 2020. Hopefully there is a plan to get it back into shape.
Harrison Staab (Harry)
This is a wonderful place to bring kids, but seems a bit neglected of late. The kids don't notice, but I do. Examples: the ball tubes aren't as pressurized as they used to be, the farm exhibit was missing many of the items to do the activities, there is only one flashlight in the light and shadow room, not enough of the wood train tracks and train cars. The place is always bright and clean and happy, but a little bit of love would make it really shine again.
Kari A.
I had never been here before and I will definitely be back! There was so much things to do I had a great time myself. A great addition was the musical stairs. Going up the stairs is sometimes difficult with kids, this was a fun way to get them going!
The water table was a big go to. It had a lot of sensory items in there as well. The dragon was amazing for the kids to see. Time well spent will plan another trip soon.
Tech 77
The Omaha Children's Museum is such a special place for kids. We love taking our son there. We got a season pass and it paid for itself very quickly. There's always something special there for everyone young and old. My son's favorite is the train ride. Its a must every time we go. I enjoy the plastic ball factory aka "Super Gravitron." We can spend easily an hour playing in there together. We almost always eat lunch there. We bring our own sack lunch and sit outside or in the family break area. Don't forget to bring a water bottle as well. You'll definitely need it. The facility is kept up pretty well. Everything is pretty much kid proof. Don't relax though, there's plenty to do and plenty of hideouts for the kids. Overall, you can easily spend the whole day there. Its amazing how fast time goes by. Be prepared for a full day and bring comfortable shoes! You'll need them!
Craig Brunotte
Great place for children to burn off some energy.
GApch
This place is awesome!! Had kids 15,12 & 3 & they ALL had a great time! Along with their Nana (me!), mom & dad! We ended up with a one membership which will definitely be used! Lots of interactive things to do & learn.
Bobbi Stephenson
Great day activity for kids 10 and under. My oldest who was 12 enjoyed a few things but not as much as the Littles
Ryan “Bano” Albano
This place was a ton of fun! Both us parents and our kids had a blast!
Tiffany Burns
Brought my 10 month old for the first time and he loved it! Been going here since I was a kid! Both our boys absolutely LOVE this place :)
micah booth
Amazing place to take your kid for an afternoon!
Drew Rash
Lots of cool kid stuff. Great place. They just added an indoor treefort upstairs, super cool and all sorts of new interactive stuff upstairs.
They keep changing the themes which keeps it like a new experience for the kids. She still loves to go.
Bethany
We LOVE stopping here on our annual zoo trip. There is so so much to do. The BEST part is, we get in free with our reciprocal membership from the Des Moines Science Center. The employees are friendly and engaging. The shows are educational and fun. The carousel inside is very cool! We love it!
Kathy Konopik
a casino for kids!! it's got everything large, a grocery store to the moon and back...not literally if course...its a great place to take your kids . they will be exhausted after two or three floors of fun.
.I went with my son and grandchildren...they love it there. there is also a small place to buy sodas etc.
have fun!! you wont regret it and the kids will love you!!
IbeesCreative
I always love bring my kids here for a change of scenery. They enjoy different things and they can choose what to play with. I wish I had eyes on the back of my head like all the 'mom rumors' say, but I don't. Expect whiplash when you got multiple children. The only downside is, if you go with a fellow parent you will not have a chance to really talk. To much to do, to much to see, kids run fast.
Tina Fernandez
It was only $5 to get in for the last hour of the day. My daughter is 16 mo Old and had a blast. We didn't really need longer than an hour to play there for her age.
Katie W
We went for the "May The Force" Event. My son is four and had a great time. There were alot of different things to keep him entertained through out the museum, we spent almost two hours there. Our primary reason for going was the Star Wars event, which was done really well in my opinion. The actors were very friendly and their costumes were great. There were a few star wars activities throughout the museum that were fun to stick to theme.
Reah Boord
Always a fun time here!!! We love it!!!
Heather Gilles
What a fun place! We brought our 8 year old daughter and she said "I don't even know where to start, it's all looks like so much fun!!"
They give you generous time slots so you can experience the whole place. Great place to play and learn. You have to wear masks if you are 5 and older, but my child did not even mind at all.
jeremy cavazos
Nice clean museum with plenty to do for the kids.
Joe Leasure
Was a nice facility and the things they did have up and running were fun. It'll be allot better once there new stuff is open. Was a bit pricey.
Sandy McGinness
Such a great experience! Went with our granddaughters. So many fun things for kids of all ages to do.
Thomas Payne
Great place, kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves!!!!
Amy McVeigh
We love visiting here! So much for the kids to explore but not too overwhelming. Highly recommend
Alex Tharman
Our 2-and-a-half year-old LOVED this place! We easily spent 4 hrs here and he could have gone a lot longer if it wasn't nap time! 😂 He had so much fun with the hands-on activities and there were so many stations he could use many senses and work on many skills, large and fine motor, etc. In the post-COVID times that we attended, masks were optional and hand sanitizing stations were placed very well throughout the building as there are many kids playing with the same toys. We would definitely go again!
Joe Stapleton
Great time with the kids. We had ages 6-11 and they all had fun. If you need to let them blow off some steam for 2-3 hours, this is the place.
Debra Felderhoff
This is such a great place. Children can learn how to change a tire, mow the lawn, grocery shop, etc. It actually teaches real life skills in a fun way..
Brooke Fox
I honestly didn't know what to expect. Our 11 year old insisted on going so we thought we would try it out. I told her she might be too old for some of the stuff but she still wanted to go. We spent a good 3 hours there and she didn't want to leave. It was a pretty cool place would definitely go back.
DavidisGoliath
Love the Omaha children's museum. If you have extra stuff to donate do it here!
Kalista Beebe
Took my little ones today, and ended up buying a season pass. So many happy things about this place! I absolutely love how strict they are on their cleanliness- and the baby zone! The huge “this is it” thing, is the “nursing nook” they have for breastfeeding mothers. So awesome! Their staff is WONDERFUL too!!
Tiffany Mathiowetz
This place was a lot of fun for my little guy but definitely think the adult price should be less. We were visiting from out of state so it was new to us.
FiFi C
Always love taking my little one to the Children's Museum! She absolutely loves it. So many things to do and so much fun to be had :)
Tom Dougherty
Great variety of activities, and the workers keep it maintained and clean despite the tornadoes that children can be
Jared Anderson
Always love this place. We got to try out the builder's area in the crafts area. I think my daughter liked this the best since the main part was closed upstairs.
Shana Morse
Wow....what a place! As a parent....I was exhausted; so were the kids. place was amazing and so interactive!
kent thorne
The children’s museum is a great place for a few hours of fun. Little kids to early teens can have fun here. Lots to do and see. The family membership is a great value. The top level is always changing to add variety.
Hakim Ismoilov
Bought a membership! Great place to spend your day off with kidddos
Jennifer Dein
So fun.....get to burn much needed energy!!
Lauren
So many fun activities for the kids, place was very clean, friendly staff. Will definitely be back!
Jane Yaffe
Love the new exhibit! Actualky everything that is going on at OCM right now is great!! It appealed to a wide range of ages and to both boys and girls! ⁰
Jan A.
This is a wonderful place for all ages. Entertaining and educational. We were there for many hours. I highly recommend spending time here.
Geri Larson
Wonderful time!!! My grand daughters can't wait to come back!
Julie Harlan
Such a great place for the family to take your children to have fun but I think the hour goes way to fast for the party room no time to decorate sit down and enjoy the party for the price
Britini Schultz
Super nifty! I could have played in the ball area all day. We had a lot of fun exploring and pretending.
Jen Eisenman
Such a wonderful interactive experience for my kiddo. He has so much fun exploring and learning. There is something for everyone here! They do a great job allowing the kids to touch and learn and have a great sensory experience on their own terms. The kids have the freedom to play at their pace and do what interests them. It is an awesome place to watch my baby grow and develop and just have a great time!
Kathy Davis
My kids had a blast.
Katie Glass
Great place for younger kids!
Chris Coffey
This is a great children's museum. It may not look that big on the outside but it is amazing how much there is to do. Our daughter could spend hours here (and we often do). Each space is very thoughtfully designed to be engaging and educational in addition to entertaining. Many activities are as much fun for the adults as they are for the kids. This is one of our go-to activities when our little girl has some energy to burn.
Karen Mattox
Took my 2 1/2 year old Grandson today! He had a blast! We had taken him a year ago and he was too young to really enjoy it. It was nice to let him run around in the warm and burn off some energy, The paw Patrol characters were an extra bonus!
Sheila Dober
The kids will love this place.
LynAnn Vossberg
great place for children year round
Jasmine Vaughan
Awesome place with lots of things to do with the kids! I had fun today!
Hannah Holguin
I love this place for my girls! It is great for kids from sitters thru elementary ages. I enjoy watching my kids interact with a variety of activities. Her brain is clearly engaged, amazed and imagining. If you have more than 2 kids over 2 then definitely try and do the family pass and go more than once. Usually I can only manage to hang out for 2-3 hours. This last time my daughter was able to handle 5-6 hours of fun with a break upstairs for lunch and snack. I wish there was a family restroom upstairs. I also did not appreciate waiting extra time for the carousel due to staff not communicating well with each other. They called for a supervisor to come upstairs to help with the rides. The ride worker just kept doing train rides when she was supposed to be alternating. I felt that they could have done something to apologize like an extra ride or something to show this was not okay. Overall though, we will be going back plenty of times, except the Halloween/fall season.
Crystal Craig
This place is awesome way better then when I was child 👍👍👍 …
Joshua Andrus
If you live here, get the membership. Going a few times with the kids will eat up what the membership would have been. It's geared more to little kids and maybe up to 8? If your children are older than that it may not be the best option.
Miles Eckmann
The children and I always have a blast when we come here. There is so much to do on the bottom floor alone we could spend an entire day there. The top floor is usually a different exhibits that swaps out every couple of months I believe. It is nice having the family pass if you live close enough, I know mine has paid itself off many times over this year alone. The extra activities the center puts on are great as well. We attended both the Harry Potter night, and my daughters have attended the princess ball two years in a row.
Bret Arneson
This place is perfect for kids. It's handicap friendly with tons of things for kids to experience.
Second level has a small food court bring your own lunch or buy something there.
The workers were so nice and smiles could tell they were all-in to making sure the kids had fun and stayed safe.
The bathrooms were nice and clean.
Grizzly Crossbones
My boys had a great time lots to do we will be going back
C B
Awesome place for family fun. Lizzy goes above and beyond for the story time & science show.. like wow! She’s an awesome employee & my children LOVED her. Her energy & enthusiasm made my day for sure!!
Demetrius Parker
Children love all the fun activities available. Enough walking around to make them tired lol
Kaitlin
Amazing facility and amazing staff! They go above and beyond for the love of all the kids that visit. Love the different station options, specifically the career area, the ball room, face painting, and most definitely the train upstairs. The multiple ways our kids get to be creative here makes us wanna go all the time.
Trampas Powell
A fun place to play. The kids(ages 7 and 4) loved it. We explored for 3 hours(until they ran out of steam and got hungry) and we needed to meet up with family. Lots of activities for kids of all ages.
jarrod neuhaus
Nice place, I would try to go when it's not busy, it's not a big as you would think and gets crowded.
Amy Custer
I would say this place is best for kids 8 and under. It's a fun family experience, but not really targeted for older kids.
M bennett
Nice place for kid's to have a blast!!!!
Ken G
Definitely for little kids but a lot of fun activities
jay sno
My kids love this place. Good place to go if weather is not great. Plenty to do
Damian Catlin
Children can play like little adults, shop at the store, go to the bank, run a farm, build a tube Goldberg, run a hydraulic energy plant! It was amazing! The kids were entertained the entire time, top it off with a toddler safe zoo play area.
Megan
This was such a fun museum! We spent the entire day there exploring and playing! The highlights for my early elementary aged kids were the tinker room, the ball room and upstairs playing with the Mario climbing structure and the animal climbing slides.
- 1 star because they had a carousel, train and mining stuff upstairs that cost additional fees. This is a pet peave of mine. If I have to pay to get into a children's museum, everything should be included. Preschool kids don't understand why they can't ride, since it's right there. So I find the "add ons" like this tacky.
Mike Hart
Lots to do! Kids had a great time. Packed
Ashlyn Ramos
Staffing was great ! Had a wonderful time doing the science discovery. Staff was bubbly and made it fun . This place has so much to offer for a child so rave they can learn and play at the same time. Parking is few so if you don’t get a close parking there is additional parking on outside just remember to bring some coins for the meter .
Matt Clark
Took both of my daughters here on a Sunday. They had a great time learning while playing. The air tubes were very cool and they were fascinated by how it all worked together. Lots of very neat exhibits to check out. We spent around 4 hours there and that seemed like a good amount of time without being rushed.
Rebecca Gronseth
There's so much do to, this museum can keep the whole family busy for hours. Toddlers love the farm, grocery store, bank, and nursery imagination stations! The art stations are perfect for elementary aged kids and older. The balls are fun for everyone of all ages! There are plenty of learning opportunities for hands on STEAM. The staff is helpful, friendly, and kind. A day pass is a little pricey, but it's worth looking into a yearly membership.
Andrew Engstrom
This place was great fun to take my very young but precocious daughter. She is hungry to learn and the Children's Museum delivers a hearty meal. They paid great attention to detail and made an effort to think about the perspective of children when designing these exhibits. There are a lot of physical activities and thinking exercises good for children of all grade school ages. The activities were genuine fun and not just more school work disguised as museum exhibits. This is the kind of place where I can take my daughter as she grows from kindergarten through grade school and not worry about her outgrowing the exhibits or losing interest until she is substantially older.
Janessa Antoms
I absolutely love the Omaha Children's Museum. I purchased a pass which is good for a year and have no problem using it regularly. They always have new exhibits going on every few months. It combines fun with learning which is always a plus in the summer time since kids are out of school. There is never a dull moment when my family gets to spend the afternoon here. Sometimes I find myself getting really into the things they have here to do. You never been here I'd suggest coming especially if you have elementary school children this is a great place for them to get all their summer excitement out at.
Brittany Lundstrom
Membership mornings are the best time to go for younger kids..
Thomas Surrell
Fun for all kids and some adults
Arissa Teal'Kincaid
I truly appreciate the Children's Museum! It's so many fun activities and can keep a kid's attention for hours!! It's worth every penny for kids 1 through 6 y.o.!! However, My child is 9 y.o. and we had a great time, for the most part. Long story short, my child has outgrown the place and more than likely we won't be back. :(
I believe this place is geared more towards younger children under 8. We made the most out of our visit. I have one child, so I'm the parent/playmate. The dinosaur exhibit was pretty cool but more for little kids. There might have been at least 4 stations for older kids but not as exciting as the multiple stations for the younger ones. We seen older children there as well but I personally believe once a kid is over 7 y.o., it's just not as much fun and exciting as it was when they were younger but to each their own.
Whitney Dadswell
Took our son there for the first time today and we loved it. So much to look at and explore. And the staff is very nice too! Can't wait to go again.

Owning a daycare is a challenging business, and we are constantly looking for activities the children can do that are both fun AND educational. The Children's Museum solves this dilemma for us.
We love going here and so do the children.
We highly recommend going on slower days to avoid lines and waiting.
Ciara Nevada
The staff was amazing, EVERYONE was so patient with kids and helpful with the kids. When my son opened a bottle of glue and dumped it (i have no clue how he did that so quickly, i was right there) the staff come over and told me not ro worry it happens and they would clean it up. It was so nice to be somewhere that kids can be KIDS, and they can explore their imaginations. My boys loved the grilling station and the ball area!
Samantha Nizam
My littles love this place! With it being Spring break it was a little busier than usual but they still had a blast with all the kiddos there!
Rachel Cerra
We visited at the end of June/early July 2017 and our 2 and 4 year old LOVED it! Our 4 year old son had so much fun in the Gravity room (the crane was perhaps his favorite) and "fixing" the car. Our 2 year old daughter loved being able to run around and just play. Staff was friendly and courteous. The activities were in excellent condition considering how much everything is played with/climbed on. Wish we had a place like this in KC. As a science educator, thank you for providing kids with so many wonderful opportunties to engage in science and math. We will most definitely be back!
Carrie Centarri
We had so much fun letting my son explore all the areas and play with all the learning toys! If I lived closer, we would purchase a membership and visit regularly. Son loved the river display and the tractor, but everything was wonderful!
Amy Upchurch
It is really fun for a lot of the kiddos, albeit extremely loud in there. Lots of noises. As an adult I often wished for better adult seating options while supervising my very young grandkids. Most kids love the place and the staff programming. I noticed it is getting so much use that it could use a good cleaning and some general improvements & upgrades. It is time.
Maidellyn Easey
It is definitely a fun place, but I would not consider it a museum, but an indoor play ground with opportunity for lots of creative play. I agree with a prior visitor's comments on how loud everything seemed to be; from the announcements on the speakers, to the actual "exhibitions" present. Add to that the loud sound that comes from children and their parents, and you have a recipe for headaches and potential hearing loss.
I recommend this place for elementary age children, perhaps kindergarten through third or fourth grade. However, I did bring my nine years old sons, and they enjoyed the creative play.
I did not get a chance to interact with many of the workers, but the few that I did speak with were courteous and informative. We enjoyed one show with Jose our "Bubble Maker". I thought he did a fantastic job. He captivated the children's attention as he demonstrated different ways of making bubbles big and small.
Though it was a good place to spend some time on a rainy day, I will not be coming back, seeing that my sons have surpassed the non-advertised height restrictions on the exhibits. But, if I had younger ones, I would probably purchase a membership and a pair of good ear plugs.
Kyley Weaver
My kids ages 5 and 2 LOVED this place. So much to do! Great exhibits for every age level and interest. We went on a busy day, but there seemed to be plenty of staff to help keep things in order and running smoothly.
Y. L. Lawson
Amazing hands on activities from toddlers to tweens. They have really managed the museum well while being compliant with current covid restrictions and I don’t feel the experience is lost at all. I love the live shows they put on so creative. We really enjoyed the Christmas live show even with social distancing. Can probably get through the museum in two hours or so but of course stay longer. I really appreciate how there are activities that allow kids to touch and move around and explore but also exhibits (currently most upstairs) that they can CLIMB and PULL Themselves up on and slide down. It is a balanced mix of activities for the brain and activities for their little bodies. We have a membership and it pays for itself after only your second visit do the math and you’ll see. Get a membership!
Diane Brinson
We got a membership and we haven't looked back yet. I love that they always have new exhibits every couple of months it gives my kids something different to look forward to. It is always clean when we go which is nice because my kids can run around without clutter or trash around. I can't wait for the playground area to be finished so on nice days we cns picnic outside before going in.
T McKinley
Great place for kids to learn and explore! Went with my sister and her 2 year old daughter took my 1 year old. They had a blast in the ball area, grocery store, the zoo land, you can face paint and color dance and so much more. I'd totally get a membership if I lived in town.
Willie Tucker
Excellent for my kids. Gay pride month🤮 was not worth my money. If I have know that I would had waited for another day
A Albright
This place is so fun! I took my daughter, age 11 and she had a blast. There are so many things to do. 2 hours flew by! There are lockers you can rent and coat hooks. Many different exhibits a d lots of helpful employees. I like that you can come and go as you please during the day. We are heading back to decorate cookies with Santa!
Amanda Archambault
Awesome that there was a nursing room. I meant to ask how often baby play area maps were cleaned, but didn't. Many many sections for playing and discovery. Having great activities like a space show and story time were neat. Parking could have been easier. Busy because it was weekend, but they're closed on Monday during winter and my visitors are only here for short time.
Ryan “Arthur” Bjornberg
As a kid I had such an amazing time here. They have a huge selection of super fun but also super educational programs and games for your children to play. Not only that though, the parents can have fun as well with lots of the attractions because some are just plain crazy awesome. I still have a card from when I went there last. Definitely a recommendation from me
David Frazier
First time visiting and it was all it's supposed to be and more. My 3 year old absolutely had an awesome time.
There were times when I lost sight of her but yet I was never uncomfortable to the point of worrying or having anxieties I've had in other places.
It's very child oriented and while there's no real "museum" it is fun to watch all those children having fun!
My ONLY negative was the older kids there. More than a few were well over the age of 8 which is supposed to be the applicable age cut off and when they threw the balls...they THREW them hard and wild and a couple of them kind of "commandeered" some of the areas and my daughter interrupted two of them "playing house" in the upstairs area of the play house.
Not sure if more staff or a more strict staff monitoring the teens. A few did but they are kind of few and far between, while others just laughed and interacted with them.
But all in all it was a good time. I'd give it 4.5 stars but not 5 because of the older child/teen issue.
Angelica F
My son is on his 2nd week of summer camp this year and I just have to say it's been amazing. Staff recognized my son on day 2, as well as his dad! By day 3 they knew my husband's name and recognized our car. We feel my son is socializing in a safe educational, FUN, environment!
*update 2/17/22 we have attended our second kitchen class (free with admission) and it's fun and I personally learned new facts about Japanese and European honey bees
Kathryn Someone (Intuition)
The one time visit costs are terrible, especially for adults who arent able to engage most things (or anything). You're better off getting the membership for the price to be honest. Kids really enjoy it there and they change themes periodically on the positive side kids wont get bored!
Emelie Cross
So much fun for a very reasonable price! We will definitely be back!
Anthony Boucher
It was a new and fun experience for my kids, however probably due to the pandemic, it just didn't seem like they had everything open and running. For the $28 we paid to get in just felt like it was fairly limited. Wearing a mask and chasing kids around was a chore too
Bob Mosby (Dragon Sailor)
Love how friendly the staff are they helped calm down my upset daughter. My daughter had so much fun there we will be back. We had to drive an hour to come here and will do it again.
William Groesbeck
Went for a birthday party for one my kid's friends. My kid loved it. He had a great time running around and exploring all the areas.
Keyonna K
Absolutely love taking my child here. He has such a great time. They have so many different activities for the kiddos. My kid's favorite is the water station where he learns about the Platte River. Memberships are relatively expensive but worth it if you go a lot.
Ashley Coats
Pretty fun Children's Museum and what they have they do well. The reason for my score is the cost. This place is very small for $12 admission. We were actually in a bit if a rush to fit things in and I told my daughter she had about two hours, she was ready to go at an hour and a half. Very unusual for her! We've been to children's museums all over the country and this price is close to standard but the size was not!
Jonathan Covalt
There is so much to do, no child could possibly be bored. Every room has several possible activities. Our kids both loved the water table, the ball room, and the light blocks.
We saw the science show, and our eldest was upset because he missed out on a cool thing at the end of the show. The guy running it offered to do it again just to help out.
I would highly recommend this for anyone with children who is in the area.
Sauroņ Ndg
Great for all ages and family time. Interesting and didactic toys/ games. Even if you are an adult you can still have a lot of fun with the kids for the whole day. Completely organized. Wouldn't recommend eating here since there is no variety and its too expensive
Aaron Grosse
Lots of activities and stimulating stuff for kids of all ages to enjoy. My 3 y/o had fun walking around for an hour and a half. She loved the Merry Go Round and the Train which is an extra $2.00 each. I would recommend bringing your own food for the Chicken Nuggets I had were not good. There are a few decent prepackaged options though. There are plenty of hand sanitizer dispensers around which is great. The place has to be crawling with germs. Overall a good time. We would go back again.
Marcia Friesz
Great place for younger kids. Lots if activities.
Coral “CRCMonty” Healey
Huge fans of the museum! Love the rotating exhibits and the ball room is just amazing. My son has some sensory issues so we always bring our headphones so if there are too many kids or a loud room (like the ball room) then we just pull out the headphones and that helps a ton. We do tend to get sick about 80% of the time after visiting here but it's worth it in our opinion.
Paul Blakes
The kids loved this place!! All of them told me that this was the funniest stop for the day.
Nikki Coash
Wonderful place to take the Grandchildren. Everyone is super nice and it is worth the money.
g gc
This is a great place for kids to play and learn. They are continuously changing and adding new things. My son and nephew never want to leave! If I had 1 critique it would be that they could put some faux trees or landscape around the train so the kids get a feeling for being on a train & not just going in circles 5 or 6 times.
Lynn Zimmerman
Kids had a great time (ages 13, 7 & 1yr), staff was nice, place was clean, lots of different activities, very enthusiastic & engaging presenter, Santa experience was wonderful & no lines, very realistic Santa. (Also, if u receive snap benefits present ur card & entrance fee is $4 per person, 2 & under free)
Eric Doll
5 year old kid loved it. Non stop action with enthusiastic staff.
Jerome Binsley
This place is the best if you have kids under ~12. My two toddlers had a blast in the morning and when we returned after nap. Free parking and re-entry which was nice and so many activities for kids of all ages. I wish we had something like this in Dallas.
suzi c
Museum had some great activities! Train ride was a great feature. The mega ball area kept my kids entertained for hours. Only down fall would be the eating experience. The tables were not being cleaned fast enough to keep up with demand and there was no clean trays left. So I had to carry my meals in a pile in my arms across the way to a table. I would give them 5 stars if they improved their effort in their dining area. Overall fun.
Politicalrefugee
This place was great. My whole family had a great time. My daughter loved every minute of our day at the museum. And I also liked the snack bar area on the upper level. It was nice to have a cherry Icee and sit for a minute, after hours of walking.
Danielle Owens
Super fun and interactive for all ages.we plan on getting a membership so we can keep going back. Our daughter loved all the climbing and the window painting. Can't wait to check out the hands on room.
Jorge Guzman
Decides from the occasional parent that will let their child run crazy with no supervision...its an amazing place to have your child burn energy, learn, and have fun. Food is a little pricey but thats easily overlooked by not eating there. Staff is incredibly friends and helpful. I take my son there at least once a month.
Abby J
My 1 year old had a great time climbing in boxes, touching the blower fans air intake covers in the ball pit area and throwing things on the floor. All the things you're not supposed to do, but to him that was the best part. Hopefully next time we'll enjoy more of the place!
Leah DeMers
Our kids loved it and could have stayed in the grocery store the entire day. Everything was clean. Employees were in and out cleaning up, organizing. The employees presence was noticeable. Great facility and we will be back next time we are in town. Parking was a pain but understandable.
Seth Montecuollo
We love going here as a family. There is something enjoyable for all of our kids, and us parents too! I think everyone's favorite is either the Tinker Lab or the Imagination Playground; we could easily spend an entire day in both exhibits
Justin Ellenwood
Tons of stuff for kids to do. My oldest said “this is so awesome”. They have hand sanitizer all over the place for guests. Also saw them cleaning like crazy. Finally you can bring your own food and drink as they have designated spots for it
Macayla Budin
Had a great time at the birthday party I was invited to even though I don't have small children of my own.
Christopher Chester
We were visiting from out of town for a wedding over Memorial Day Weekend. The family needed something to do on a very hot Sunday in May (temps over 100 degrees). The air conditioned Children's Museum was perfect. Our 2 year old was entertained for hours! The adults in the group were too! Fun contraptions for every age were are all over the place. We highly recommend this place.
Sadie Saale-Andrews
This place is awesome! All of the different games and activities were very fun and amusing for my son. They definitely have something for all children age groups. All of the staff was very curtious and friendly. The admission prices are very affordable! I definitely recommend coming here for family fun!
Sinuhe Licerio
This place is great for families. If you live close, get the year pass. It’s good for both parents and up to three kids. It does get crowded sometimes, but it’s big enough to explore. Kids learn while having fun. Expect to be there around 2 hours, give or take.
Justin Eakins
Fun little place to get out of that cold weather... kids EVERYWHERE work parents not far behind. I love the room with the tubes that go all over the place.
I think the stairway from the first floor to the second floor is really cool (the musical steps). The second floor has a train, cafe, and a carousel. The rest is constantly switching depending on what they're showcasing at the moment.
On the first floor is a play area, craft section, and that really cool room with all the balls and tubes. Had a blast. The cost was just under $40 for two adults and a toddler without a season pass (so if you plan on coming back it's worth it to get a season pass).
Frankie MacGregor
Love this place for my grandkids. I was surprised at how many cool things they have for the babies that aren't walking yet. My grandson can crawl, stand, and cruise but he's not walking yet. There were many awesome things for him to enjoy. He never gets bored and there are so many different things that interest him. The Platte River exhibit seems to be his favorite. He can stand and play in the water forever. He also enjoys the baby room, with the wall that is mirrored and has railings so he can pull himself along the wall. He loves the little train set play table in there, as well as the kitchen play set. He also loves the air pressure ball exhibit. Even though he can't walk around to put the balls in, he is fascinated by all of the colored balls on the floor and the kids running around to pick them up.
Amy
Amazing museum for kids. They had a princess led dance activities when we visited. This place has so much to offer for children of most ages. We will be visiting again next time we're on Omaha for sure.
Lindsey Storm
The Children's Museum offers after-hours activities for the kiddos roughly 1-2× a month. This month on Friday the 15th and Friday the 22 of October, 2022 it's a trick-or-treat shindig.
The second my 2.5 year old knew she could say TRICK-OR-TREAT and get CANDY, she immediately learned and associated that phrase with her favorite thing, ever... (besides her mommy and daddy,) - candy!
The Museum wasn't really focusing on the activities that are normally there, granted the carousel was going... more oriented towards Halloween and trick-or-treating.
Christina Groves
This place is awesome! If you want your kids to have hands-on learning you have to come.
Chuck Rand
I used to go to the old Children's Museum as a kid. Now I'm taking my kids, and the place now is amazing. We can spend all day there and still the kids want to come back as soon as possible. We really like the room with all the balls... I mean the KIDS like the room with all the balls. They have science experiments that they do every few hours that are very educational. My girls could shop in the grocery part for HOURS. Everyone loves the art area and dress up area too. The staff does a good job keeping everything as clean as possible. I would highly recommend this to anyone with young kids.
Loren Carolay Suaza Gomez
A nice experience for our daughter and family plan, maybe they should keep some objects with greater hygiene or more inventory due to virus issues, but it is beautiful and educational.
jessie gaskell
The staff is amazing! They love to play with the kids and help keep the environment clean. They remember regulars and build relationships with them. The staff are amazing and the play areas are a blast especially the rotating exhibitions. I absolutely love this place and we go almost weekly! If you go M-F in the morning it is not as busy (especially membership hour)
The eating area is the only reason I can't give it a 5 out of 5. They don't clean the tables regularly. so we have to wipe down with our own wipes. Also the lack of high chairs can be frustrating, in the whole building there are 4 of them! I personally have twin one yr olds so we can't eat lunch there because the chances of 2 being open are very slim.
Laney Mullen
So if you're local and have kids buy a membership. It's a great place for the kids to play without messing up the house. That in itself is totally worth the money. Important to note the membership is reciprocal! There are children's museums all over that are covered including Science City in Kansas City. Definitely best for kids under 10 though. My older ones get bored faster yet still always want to come.
Heather Janes
My kids are 3 and 1, they love this place. I have even been with friends who have kids up to 14 that enjoyed it. There is something for everyone. The upstairs exhibit changes periodically. The train and carousel are extra amd pricey which is kind of annoying. If you're a local I highly recommend getting the membership, the pricing can be kind of steep for larger families and if you go more than once it's worth it. Parking is free, but tight and fills up fast. They have lots of fun activities monthly for members, so that's a bonus.
Caroline Smith
I love the Children's museum and my daughter loves the children's museum! There are so many different activities to simulate their creativity and also help them learn new things and have fun doing it! Its clean and the staff is super friendly. Its also a great place for birthday parties and gatherings!
Annamarie Jakos
This is definitely a great place for kids who are 2.5+ years old. Our 17 month enjoyed the ball area and the special tea party exhibit (attic) along with the carousel. It was definitely crowded and I was thankful that both my husband and I were there to tag team our daughter.
I wish we could have been alerted to the locker option at the beginning so we didn’t have to lug around our diaper bag and been free to roam around. That’s more on me than anything.
It was VERY crowded. We brought a lunch to eat as we were all hungry when we wrapped up our playtime after 2.5 hours.
Misty MacLean
This place is just so fun for the kids! There is a lot to do. One time I suggested that the employees be more involved with the kids and the next time I came, I noticed there were more employee's out, but all they did was stand around and talk to each other. One corrected my toddler to go back to the grocery store with the shopping cart. So that's not exactly what I had in my mind for more employee involvement. There are activities where employees are directly involved and they are always wonderful with all the kids.
Kaylah Ogden
I love this place!! My son always has a great time. I love that every area has real life activities for the kids to learn and play. We are new members so I'm really looking forward to the new exhibits upstairs!! My only issue is that they open so late. I wish they opened sooner.
Aaron Jessee
Great place for kids of all ages from toddler to 100, with a lot of hands on experiments for everyone to learn and have fun doing it. Personally I plan on making a return trip sometime soon. Nice clean amenities, with snacks and drinks on the top floor. Hope you enjoy it as much my family did
Stacy Brook
Love this museum! Great exhibits that change every few months and their annual membership is reasonably priced! Excellent helpful staff also! My only recommendation would be to have it more "secure." By that, I mean that it would be easy for someone to leave with someone else's child. YIKES! So as always, just keep a good eye on your kiddos!😀
Orin Herndon
Not as large as some of the other children's museums we've been to, so bang-for-your-buck seems a bit lower than average. But still a great place to take the kids. Not sure season passes would be as attractive at this location, since the offerings are more limited.
Rachel L
So much fun!! Great staff and all the activities are amazing - highly recommend!
John Smith
The museum was fantastic! We and our 4 year old has a blast. Three only downside was that they did not have a stroller or Washington to rent, but everything else was great! We saw Santa while we were there, and the show was lots of fun.
Tyler Tripp
Great place for our children ages 1-10. All had a good time.
Stephanie Strode
We enjoy the Children's Museum! Its my son's favorite place to be!
Kelly Olmer
While there was alot of variety and equipment for kids to play, I was hoping there was more musical things to interact with. I could tell the other kids playing there were really enjoying the different stations, but there wasn't alot that my son was interested in. He has autism and handled the noise level surprisingly well, but I had hoped to have more sensory things there to interest him.
Kelly Ramirez
We just moved to the Omaha area and visited the children's museum for the first time this past weekend. We loved everything about the establishment itself! However, I was highly disappointed with the lack of parenting I witnessed. Yes it is a place for kids to explore, play, and have fun, but that doesn't mean that parents should just ignore their kids and let them run wild. Teach your kids to share, clean up after themselves, and be respectful of others around them! If you can't do that then stay home! My daughter got punched in the face purposely and the parent did absolutely nothing about it. I told an employee by the name of Mike about the situation and he went above and beyond to apologize and compensated us with tickets for train and carousel rides. He handled the situation amazingly, and I am so grateful!
Cheryl
It was expensive for adults considering all I did was chase a two year old. Judging by the fit he threw when we left he had a great time!
Heather Davis
It was fun for the kids. Busy on a Saturday.
Sparkle Princess
Always new and exciting things for the kids to do. Best bang for buck if you're going to go more than once a year is to buy a membership. Great for ALL ages. Fun full day of activities to keep busy, especially on those inclement weather days!
Kim Hewson-Garber
Marvelous, i asked the ladies at front desk if you had any pamphlet on the shows. I teach early childhood also
sjstsarah
This is the perfect place to visit when the weather isn’t great. It was pretty busy when we came last winter, there was a decent sized line to get in. And even though the admission adds up if you have a lot of people, it is well worth it. Not much costs extra inside apart from food or the carousel & train. There is SO much to see and I wish I could experience every one of their seasonal exhibits because the sledding one with the “snowball” fights was so much fun.
Bobbie Hanes
I brought my neighbors kid so mine would have even MORE fun. They played doctor and grocery store and bank... Don't forget the train! Always a fave! They loved lifting me on the pulley chair too. Spending hours there is ALWAYS fun for everyone!!!
Scott Sivard
This place was super cool! I grew up in Omaha and never knew it was there. Very well kept ground and my kids loved it! Didn't make 5 stars because it's pretty expensive for the few attractions it has.
Natalie H
Excellent place to take your children. It’s always clean and have many activities for the children. I would highly recommend for children between the ages of 4-8.
Scott Shepherd
Wonderful place to take children. They have plenty of things to see and do! They keep the place clean and organized too.
Kelsey Moss
We LOVE the Children’s Museum! From the indoor water table to the fun upstairs, my kiddos are smiling from ear to ear the moment we arrive. The children I bring are both special needs and they are able to enjoy EVERY aspect that the museum has to offer. Not only is the staff welcoming and helping, but they also go above and beyond to help every museum guest.
A secret some new museum guests miss is the little eating room right on the left side when you enter. There is a microwave and plenty of tables. They also offer a snack bar upstairs with more seating. My boys prefer to eat their lunch on the second level so they can watch all of the people, see all of the colors around them, and hear the carousel music (yes there is a carousel AND train to ride upstairs).
Thank you OCM for such an amazing place for us to warm up, cool off, AND have a blast!
Chrissy Costanzo
We love the Children's Museum The kids Always Have Fun 😉 …
Karla Sue
There was a lot to do!! we visited an hour before close on a saturday and it wqs chaos. My kid had a hard time finding toys to play with that belonged with the activity. i wish the parents/staff would have reset the activities throughout the day, but sort of expected. This place is adorable, next time I'd get there when it opened or a less busy weekday :-)
Jodie Moore
Really fun and age appropriate for a three year old. Seems like it would be ok for older kids too, who can appreciate the science end of it a bit better. Pack your own snacks if you want healthy, fresh options. We went on a weekday and it was absolutely overrun with school trips with loosely supervised kids which made it more difficult to access activities (wish it was limited, or more guardians required). Maybe call ahead (if you have the luxury of being choosy about the day you go) to see how many school groups are expected that day. A few of the attractions were closed or broken, but overall a decent day and relatively worth the cost of admission. All the staff were friendly.
Chad Peterson
Good fun. Membership pays for itself in two visits for our family. Keep kids out of the gift shop. It seems Lincoln's is better somehow but we will have a membership at least every other year. Web site is well done.
Jamie Bachmann
The kids always have a great time here! First time visiting since Covid and it was not crowded at all. Very clean and staff were out cleaning and organizing during our entire visit. Everyone followed mask mandates as well. 👏 …
Arielle Stewart
I have a 6 year old, 2 year old with autism and a 5 month old. This is our second year with a membership. I've been to children museums around the country and though this is a VERY small building with half of the exhibits being exactly the same year round- my kids enjoy it. It's loud, it's busy, it's overstimulating, but it's designed for children. If you want a quiet place go to a library. Wish they would bring certain things back like the glitter tattoos, or ball pits as my children were devastated when they left lol. Also- - gluten free meal would be nice considering how many kids have allergies. The staff are usually great too. No complaints there
jordan
My 2 year old was in paradise here!
Anthony Morris
Really good for kids, but not much that would interest parents. The art and crafts area is good though. A great way to get some quality kid time in.
Elizabeth Gienger
Love it if was busy need more parking or discounts price for ppl who do the meters
Tara Evans
I lov visiting the children's museum with my grandbaby. So much fun while learning new things!
Brandon Robinson
We drove from out of town 300 miles and planed our trip based on this place. And we definitely planed the right trip. This places is awesome for the kids and the room with all the balls a tubes was the best part. We spent an HR just in that room🤣👍 …
Adam Sales
Well, it was 92 degrees outside when we visited and so the walk from the parking lot to the building was really uncomfortable. Also, we found out that they don't allow cats, even if they are well behaved and not bothering anyone, so we had to leave our three cats in the car alone while we were inside with our son Andre. As a result, all three of our cats were dead when we got back to our car and Andre was really upset and we are concerned he might act out inappropriately in the future. Thanks children's museum, because of your no exceptions policies our family has lost three of our most beloved little critters and little Andre will never recover from the trauma. Also, I was hoping there would be a herd of miniature elephants, but there wasn't.
kari larsen
this place is amazing. it is heaven for your kiddos. so much fun stuff to do and learn. great for any age. they also have a lotnof fun camps but kids arent old enough to try yet. they also change the upstairs so new stuff is always coming, making it exciting for the kids. they can touch and play with everything which is nice for parents. love love love this place.
Melody Barajas
I remembered it as being more fun than it was today. Exhibits weren't working or were missing parts. Everything seemed a little dirty and not well maintained. My son had a good enough time, but I was happy I did not buy the membership.
Kimber Bean (Kimbean)
This was a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! The last time I went to the Children's Museum, I was a child and now to go back and see it through other children's eyes and how it's changed was wonderful. While everything was awesome, the best exhibit by far was the Storybook Fairy-tale one on the top floor. Seeing my 3 year old niece who is OBSESSED with Princesses LIGHT UP seeing a REAL LIFE PRINCESS was worth everything in the world. Not only that, she got to groom Unicorns! And then! They had a Princess Parade where the clever people at Children's Museum had the Princess and a few Staff dance the children to the doors of the museum at the end of the day to help the parents when it was time to close. Brilliant. The temper-tantrums I was expecting at the end of the day didn't happen thanks to the Princess Parade. Honestly, I will always recommend the Children's Museum to any, no matter the age, when ever I hear someone if coming to Omaha.
Grant Parsons
Several good exhibits and interesting things for kids, but the tube and ball room needs some maintenance badly. For months many of the blowers have been underpowered and a lot of the equipment has been out of alignment. It's fun, but for $14 per person one would hope they would ensure the permanent attractions are in better working order.
I'm not interested I'm going back to church
My 7 year old had so much fun. We burned some calories running after him. It was educational and informative. We visited during a quiet time so my son had run of the place. It was wonderful!! 😁 …
Laura Turek
Very entertaining for my kids. We spent over 3 hrs there and the time flew by. We could have spent all day there.

We've been members for several years now, and haven't been disappointed yet. If you're one to avoid large crowds, lots of noise, or have a kiddo with autism, they even host an autism night at least twice a year.
We tend to go during the week, when there are a lot less people. That being said, sometimes it's good to brave the crowds for Star Wars nights or a new exhibit!

Lot of activities and children will love them. The ball area, face painting, car repair/work shop, a stage set up, a grocery store, children's hospital, arts center - all these help children to develop their imagination and skills. This place is clean, well maintained. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place..
Donora Craighead
Loved it. Thought it might be a little elementary for my 9, 11 and 12 year old boys but they had an amazing time. Highly recommend for a place to let active youngsters burn some energy!
Don Knapp
Outstanding museum for all ages!! Went with my granddaughter and her son, my great grandson. What a beautiful place!
Brian Kong
Great place for toddlers to children to have fun! Variety of zones and activities area will keep the little ones busy. Try to avoid busy times since parking fills up quick. Also recommend packing snack/light meal. Also, they do have a minature waterway-canal zone where children WILL GET WET so pack extra shirts and/or pants!

If you have some time at Omaha with your kids, absolutely stop by and check it out. We have been at many Children's museums around the country, this one os probably one of the best. Check it out!
Jasmine Martinez
Really good price for tickets. Lots fun things to do. Great employees.
Jennifer Jorgensen
My kid always has fun.... however....Got pink eye ten minutes into our trip here at one visit. Also the beach/chlorine smell in the water area alway make me have to use my inhaler.
Tim M
My daughter enjoyed it. I've seen better kid's museums, but this one had all the normal activities to keep the little ones happy. I could have used a few more benches that were adult sized.
Don DeLaMare
Great economical family fun. Family passes are available for a discount with Omaha Zoo annual family pass. My girls (age 4 and 7) love to go. They've been about 4-5 times and still regularly ask to go. Good physical activities as well as intellectually stimulating environments.
Wes Blaha
Love taking my kiddos here. They are always changing the theme and they have things for kids of all ages. It's a great place to go when it's cold out or raining. I usually take snacks in for my kids and we eat at the tables as the food here is a little pricey.
Jasmine Ross
Love bringing the kiddos. Only complaints is when group activities are happening, they should have more staff to assist the little ones with the projects. Especially when there are 10+ kids doing them. One person is not enough.
Tina Peterson, Natural Therapies
I love their arts area and their physics area with the balls was great last year - unfortunately the membership is WAY WAY out of my reach and this is one activity my kiddos will get to do rarely. I did like the little concession stand upstairs. Prices were reasonable and there were healthy choices.
Sara Hasenfuss
Great place to take the kids on a rainy day, cold day, windy day. Really any day that you can't be outside this place has so much to entertain. If we lived closer we would definitely make it a frequent place to visit.
Janna Anderson
We love the Children's Museum. Lots to do for children 7 and under. I do wish there was more staff present. Plan on watching your children carefully because you can't always expect the same from everyone else. :)
Coralee Bernard
Our family loves coming to this museum. We have children that range from 2-12, and they all find things they enjoy here. We love the daily programming and changing exhibits that help make it feel like a new museum each time we visit.
Arriya Sipp
the museum was Fun Some water got on My hand
Annsina Espinoza
Fun place, reasonably priced. We loved the science show it was about space.

Taken my son here a couple times and each time he's had an absolute blast, as have I watching him do all the activities! Their star wars night was awesome and my we loved it! We'll be going for years to come for sure.
Thomas Lambert
They regularly change up the interactive pieces making it new and fun for the kids each time.
Shaun Vetick
We love the children's museum and go explore as much as possible.
Brittanie Heald
My family and I always enjoy the childrens museum. We've never had a bad experience. They are always polite and wonderful with my daughter when we come in contact with someone. They change the upstairs every week so it's always different when we go. We love the carousel. Keep it up OCM!!
Ruth Almaraz
The Children's Museum has so much to offer kids. There's a dramatic arts center, balls, water area and grocery center. The downstairs even has a wiggle room designed specifically for babies. The upstairs gets transformed into a different themed learning and play area periodically. There's a carousel and a train with a place for refreshments. The whole place inspires creativity, imagination and thinking ability.
Julia Elizabeth
SO fun. So much for my 3 year old to do. She had a blast and could have easily spent all day there!! Staff was friendly & toys were clean!
Antonia Mendez
Always have to bring the kids here when we are in Omaha! So many awesome things to do with the kids! Face painting, play grocery shopping, doctor office, bank, car repair, obstacle course, mini basketball-hockey-baseball-soccer courts. Train rides, carosel rides, a huge ball room with lots of activities to do, baby center, water table and so much more! $13 a person to get in, but worth it for the kids!!
Shawn Pepel
Absolutely amazing place for the kids to burn off some energy. We come here every time we are near the area.
Jill Kreikemeier
Our kids love the Children's Museum. Take advantage of the members-only hour during the week or go closer to opening or closing time on the weekends to avoid the crowd. So much fun and a great place for kids to run around and explore!
Angela Green
We like to visit museums each time we visit new cities. This children's museum is one of my favorites. The kids and adults in my family had a lot of fun. Even though it was crowded it was well-organized, so everyone was able to play and take turns without it getting too crazy.
William Troxel
My 5 and 7 year olds Loved this museum! Low cost fun and so much of it. Many hands on activities of so many varieties. We spent almost 4 hours but it was over all too soon. If we lived in the area I would buy the membership for my family.
Ricardo Lopez
nice place to bring the kids to have fun
Sam
Chaos but the boy seemed to enjoy. Not enough adults for the amount of kids I seen.
bsizemore86
Great place for kids. They have rotating exhibits as well as their standard equipment. There is a small gift shop and a food area as well. The current Chinese exhibit is awesome with many activities to try. If u live in the area, I recommend getting the membership as tickets are a bit pricey.

If you happen to be in the Omaha area with children you definitely want to hit up this Museum. We could have spent the whole day there easily as our boys were so entertained. Basically it's every cool toy You Ever Wanted as a child.

Such a great, safe place to have fun with your kids and grandkids. So much to do and learn from. For toddlers and younger kids. A wonderful way to have fun, get out of the house and get some good cardio chasing your children from space to space. Everyone should go at least once in their life. A million stars if I could give them!
Lili Solorzano
Phenomenal, just WOW. We were driving through Omaha and kiddos needed a break from the long car ride. We didn't know we were in for such a treat when we stopped by. We've been to a lot of children's museums around different cities and this has truly been one of the best with all sorts of activities and pretend play.
Mike Dickmeyer
Took my nieces during their spring break and they absolutely loved it tons of fun activities for young kids to run around and play (slides, indoor playground, art, science, blocks, music, sports, kids stuff) and you can bring your own food and for picnics or they have a nice food stand with decent prices theres also a train and merry go round ride that cost $2 but the little ones will enjoy it. Entrance is $13 a child or adult. Cheaper than Disneyland.
Brandon Jones
This is a great place to bring young kids. There is a lot to do and some good small shows and storytimes. They have an changing exhibit on the top floor that is a new thing every couple months. They also have a birthday room for kids parties. Can get very busy, especially on cold or rainy weekends. Also is a bit expensive for a one time visit. If you live in Omaha and expect to come here multiple times I would recommend their memberships.

We love OCM! Being an Atlanta native - even Atlanta's kids museum doesn't touch Omaha. Mainly due to square footage and they are always bringing in new things to Omaha, new exhibits and the upstairs floor always rotates every few months with a brand new theme. I love the baby area here and the nursing room. The gift store is reasonable with 1 dollar popcorn for the ride home. Easy sell ;) I know they offer free classes occasionally (mommy and me yoga... sign language) worth looking into for stay at home parents. Parking can get kind of crazy and do not go on a weekend if you are local. The family night out events are put on extremely well. We attended the candy land one... It will be busy, prepare your brain and mind to be mentally drained ha.

First time here with our 4 and 2 year old girls. After visiting children museums in Michigan and Iowa on our summer drive,we found OCM to be in a league of its own. Great activities for kids and awesome educational shows put up too.
