Reviews of Museum Of Shadows
Mary Baugh
The museum is full of dolls, clowns, coffins, and the macabre. Each having something possibly attached to it. There's one doll that has her own corner. You have to ask if it's OK to go into her area.
I was enthralled by the stories behind these things in the museum. With so many things in this 2 story building, I did not get the time to read everything. Which has me itching to go back and learn more. That and I'm dying to experience time to sit by myself to see if anything happens.
I did buy a wicked goblet and some precious stones. The only thing I was allowed to photograph was the shop area. I'll get better pics next time.
Traci Ashburn
My friend and I went last night and it was definitely creepy. Especially Claire’s room and the clown room. When we were getting ready to leave The swinging clown started moving on its own. We are definitely going to go back again and do the 10 minute challenge.
Cadence Roman
we had a great time looking at all of the artifacts during our ghost hunt tour. it was super nice to be able to rent equipment and explore on our own. however, we didn’t realize the size of the tour, which was quite large (around 20-30 people, if not more) and because of the large amount of people it made it difficult to do the small group sit down. we had chosen the basement for our private sit down, while everyone was upstairs and all we could hear was people walking around. it was also hard to communicate with spirits when there was 20 other people also doing the same. all in all it was a really cool experience, just wish it was in smaller groups so we could actually try to communicate with spirits that are in the building.
Kyle Portell
It's an interesting experience. Judging it purely from the curation of oddities throughout the building it just seems a bit unfinished and unpolished. Lots of unused space in the basement and the blaring travel channel spots from the TV in the main room are more distracting than it should be. The gift shop is very underwhelming. Theyre missing a great oppourtunity to sell branded merchandise. Its a fascinating collection, with a little work this place could be one of the most Interesting museums of Americana in the country.
Adam
We went because my wife is really into ghost shows, but it was actually really cool and the whole family had a great time.
The owners were very friendly and made the experience top notch.
Rene' Chandler
The museum was nice. I wish there wasn't such a cost for everything on addition to the $20 per person. I also wished when paying and getting ready to go in, they would tell you a bit more than sign the waiver, all rights belong to the Travel Channel, Discovery Channel.... I would have liked to hear what to expect and an air of excitement/anticipation. I was underwhelmed before I ever went in so the experience did not meet my expectations. I have watched the couple on TV and just expected more personality from them.
Maddie Simerly
Such a fun experience! There’s ghost equipment you’re allowed to rent which made my trip much more exciting. Two levels of artifacts to look at that have their stories attached and the history of each item!! Definitely recommend!
Kim Orris
My youngest kiddo wanted to go here during "Spooky Season." It was something else! I wasn't sure what to expect. You are not allowed to take pictures inside and you sign a waiver telling you this. They give each person a flashlight so you can read the information cards that are attached to a lot of the artifacts. There is definitely an interesting energy in the building. While bending over to look at a stuffed monkey, something touched my hip. I immediately looked around thinking it was my kid but they were not even close to me. Also, my kids flashlight kept malfunctioning. It would start flashing and they weren't touching the button and at times it would just shut off. They were not shaking or moving it so it wasn't a battery issue. There is a basement and it definitely has a completely different vibe. Both my kid and I got dizzy down there. We didn't stay down there long. They have options when you get there to rent a couple of different devices for your journey through the museum. We declined those as it was definitely creepy enough by itself. She told me they get new artifacts in every week! We will definitely be back!
Stephanie Osborn
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. 10 minute sit challenge was very interesting and recommended as well. Great descriptions on the items as well. This tour can take up some time if you would like to see and read everything this will definitely take up a few hours.
Mary Jo Bass
This place is awesome. I spent hours in this place and have been multiple times. And will be back many times more. If you're really into the paranormal, they have the fun tools you can rent. Spirit box, EMF meters. And ALOT of cool items to buy.
Cory Hart
A large assortment of possessed and haunted items. Which includes dolls, mirrors, and other miscellaneous items. Interesting yet disturbing back stories.
It has a pretty heavy and dark atmosphere the longer you are in the museum.
All the dolls on display are a freaky sight to behold.
Chaii Xaneski
$20 -$30 just to walk through reading note cards attached to items. You can’t take any pictures or document your experience. It was not what I was expecting. This should be free.
James
A lot of things there to read about. Did the sit down challenge in the bottom area next to the bone room. Gf felt a soft brush on the back of one of her legs but nothing else. An EVP would have been good as it may have picked up some responses. We asked many questions to reply with a knock or a touch but nothing else. 10 minutes went quicker than we both thought it would.
Had a great night at the museum again this past Friday. Good turn out and got you talk with people as well as the owners. Watched a few sit down challenges before ours and you could see the orbs as they flew around.
We did the former bone room now called Celia's room. Nothing happened though while in there. No cold or hot temps, no feeling emotional, no sounds or noises, could not feel any energy. Just a dark quiet room. Always fun to visit and see what might happen.
Scott Dady
Most of the items are self proclaimed haunted but not guaranteed. It was strange that my es dog stopped before the "realm" and layed down. I was able to go in and he stayed there whining and waiting. So I won't say not all is not haunted. Worth the money for the unique items.
L D
Museum part was pretty good, lots of items with very detailed descriptions you have to read by flashlight, which they provide as part of $20 entry fee. Only saw ONE slight movement of one clown (Twisty) in 2.5 hours we were there. Did. 10 minute challenge (Claire's room)... Was $10 for 10 minutes of darkness. You can still can here squeaks & noises from first floor, so no way to know what might be paranormal.
Amanda Jenkins
Such a great place to go. It's a self guided tour with a ton of objects to read about. We've had a few things happen while we were there. Can't Wait to try to sit down challenge
Mini Romero
At the museum entrance we were greeted by two lovely ladies who welcomed us and answered all of our questions. Than we were given options of ghost hunting tools to rent and we decided to pick a spirit box. We even felt comfortable enough to take on the sit challenge! During our sit challenge we received quite a few messages through the spirit box that we were surprised to hear. The entire experience was great and we are proud to have completed the sit challenge!! Thank you 🙏🏽 for having us!!
Monkee barrel
’m going back!
Believe in it or not, it’s still a pretty interesting place. I only did the self guided tour.
Each artifact has its own card with a quick story.
I also did one of the sit challenges. Which was really cool and interesting. I’m still trying to figure out what I heard and saw. I’m an openminded skeptic so my mind is trying to debunk but no luck so far.
They do have a small gift shop but the things I was wanting they were sold out.
The owners were wonderful and very welcoming. Big things are coming there way and I’m really happy for them. when they become big and famous, I can’t wait to say I met them in person.
rebecca brigid
staff was very nice and helpful. beautiful display of objects and organized nicely. will be back whenever in omaha again - i really enjoyed this experience
Jasmine Marie
The museum was definitely a highlight of our trip! Filled with SO MANY ITEMS, each with their own descriptions. It is very dark in there, but you get a flashlight when you go in. When I went, tickets were $20 and if you got the UV light then you pay $30.
Some things were quite spooky, and the mood set it nicely. Definitely can spend 2+ hours in there reading everything, you really start to feel like you're being watched.
Amanda Renee
The museum of Shadows was pretty rad. It's a little pricy and some of it is a bit laughable but you can tell they put a lot of work into the museum and there's a lot of cool stuff! I was pretty disappointed that all they had to offer as far as merch with the name on it was some stickers, magnet, and koozie. I walked away with a magnet and sticker but was really wishing for a Tshirt or something to purchase. It's totally worth it if you're into spooky things and looking for some entertainment!! Although, just a warning! As with most museums no pictures!
Bailey
This place is super cool, especially if you are an all things spooky enthusiasts. No pictures are allowed while walking through the museum, so just an FYI. They had a large amount of artifacts with back stories. It's two levels of spooks. The basement had a very ominous feeling, my heart kept racing and I felt waves of lightheadness as I walked through. My hubby was actually scratched a few times on the hand while we were walking through. They have an option to sit in the dark, alone for 10 minutes for an added charge - super cool!! Would recommend for sure. They also have Holy water that you can use before and after entering the basements most haunted area. ;)
Briana DeSanctis
They have a HUGE collection of donated artifacts believed to be haunted or possessed. You can even rent an LED flashlight to look at things that have blood spatters on them.
B
Neat place, lots of interesting items and stories. The the energy is definitely different inside this place. Tickets are a bit expensive for just reading about/seeing a few rooms of items, haunted or not, in my opinion. I will recommend people check it out, especially if you're into the occult and watch the haunted/ghost shows. . . but i won't be going back for $20.
Very friendly owners and staff!
Wind Liska
Fun little stop. The stories you can really tell come from a few folks. Some detailed and some kinda just blurbs. The staff is friendly and do well creating the right atmosphere for the area. A little on the small side but they utilize the space they have very well
Shelby Simonsen
Super kind staff who will answer any questions you have. Beautiful drive with the cutest destination that is downtown Plattsmouth. Great admission price with more than enough things to see and read about to keep you wrapped-up in the lore that is the after-life/demonology. I encourage you to follow the directions they give you before entering, use the holy water provided out side the “Next Realm” and try the sit challenge with someone!
Worth every penny, I will be returning to this quiet town, even if only for this museum.
I suggest not bringing children into the museum if they have to have constant supervision as there are many tempting dolls/toys asking to be picked up.
The basement is amazing, definitely glad I did not do any research before going as to not bias myself before visiting and getting a vibe first-hand. I can promise you, if you’re looking for proof of ghosts/Desmond/apparitions/the paranormal, you will find it here!
maria jones
It was good but the downstairs area got too unfriendly. The locals were not wanting me there, and no I'm not saying the living. The staff were very nice. Pictures not allowed, bring your reading glasses lots of fascinating stories.
Brittany Lundstrom
We went. And there was some kool things to read about and the stories of some objects. I thought it would be different though. I wasn't overwhelmed. It was worth going to once but probably not again. I do appreciate all the different oddities and artifacts they have. And they have stories for everything. Just a lot of reading in the dark note cards. Interesting. I'm a believer in spirits and stuff and I didn't get anything from it. But it was fun.
Sarah S.
Where do I start. Its a neat place but half of the "artifacts" are just items sent in by people who think they were haunted. I have a hard time beleiving every item has been investigated. The flashlights they give you have a built in function so if you touch the back of it just right the flashlight will start flickering. $20 is a little steep for something self guided. They also have real human remains on display including a full skeletin and several skulls. Its a personal dilemma but it just seems wrong to display them and profit off of someones remains who had no say in the matter. For that reason alone i will not be returning.
Scott Rocheville
It was ok…
Lots of interesting items
Was kinda neat to see a bunch of things from my hometown SALEM, MA
Thought that the Cost is a bit high for a self guided flashlight tour
Heidi Mareve
Had a wonderfully spooky time here with the family while visiting the Omaha area. Great people run the place & you can tell it's their pride & passion! Keep up the awesome work y'all!
Marcus Hicks
Awesome experience! I am not a fan of spooky or scary stuff but I love museums. We went here for my wifes birthday and it was very cool! If you come here thinking it is a haunted house with scares you wont enjoy it but if you come in with a museum mindset you will love it! Pricing was steep but you cant really get this experience anywhere else
Elizabeth Pepperdine
My daughter and I went together. I called ahead to see about how much time we should allow, and they said typically an hour. I wish we would have had more time, as I could have spent several hours! It was a lot of fun, definitely different, and something we will do again.
chris whittington
Finally got to come here from Missouri. It was super interesting and something g shoved my shoulder and then the crib started rocking while I was reading something next to it. I will definitely be back in a couple years to see new stuff and to do the 10 minute challenge.
Amanda Pattrin
Lots of cool artifacts. I wish it was longer. A sit challenge in Claire's room would be fun. I like how everything is labeled with the stories.
Janessa Mckissack
Cool place! Definitely a little overpriced, but a fun story to tell regardless! There were some items that for sure gave me an ominous feeling, so I don’t discount that there are active things here. It would be cool if they allowed photography, or even kept more activity posted on their social media to keep us updated on what others experience.
Howdy 21
It’s a cool place and a lot to see, but I wouldn’t recommend getting the black light or sit down challenge add-on. The sit down challenge it’s barely even dark and you can hear everyone talking in the building. I recommend for the owners to put the sit down challenge somewhere more quiet and darker.
Angelina Carrasquillo
***Just a heads up you are NOT allowed to take photos or use your phone once you enter the exhibit rooms***
This was the most interesting thing I've done in a while since ghost hunting in Jerome, AZ. They have quite a few "packages" to pick from so I did the regular one for $15. They give you a flashlight and the option to rent some ghost hunting electronics for an additional charge I believe. They have quite the collection of Ouija Boards, dolls, random items, and some clowns (I wasn't ready for the clowns seeing as they terrify me), so just so you know they do have a cute little collection of clown dolls!
I do want to go back again to try the 10 minutes in the dark challenge when I'm a little braver. Highly recommend visiting if you are into this kinda stuff.
Lennon S
Amazing museum and experience!! It is $20 for basic admission and you get a flashlight to go through the museum, as the lights are dimmed. You can also rent different equipment if you want more of an investigative experience. Lots of different artifacts and oddities all with a story attached. The realm downstairs in the basement is very intense. Towards the cauldron I felt super nauseous and got a headache. Then my flashlight went out. The workers happily switched me out a new one and informed me that’s not unusual and spirits do like to pull energy from them. So if you are sensitive just be aware! There’s a lot of energy in this building. A lot of the negative comments I’ve seen seem to not understand that first and foremost this is a museum. There are no paid actors, nothing is going to pop out at you. Simply just enjoy it for what it is and if anything unexplainable happens, you know it’s for real. Also the staff is super sweet and answered all my annoying questions!!! So thank you! Will definitely be returning for a ghost hunt soon!
Ravén Hunt
I purchased tickets for a night time ghost hunt as a birthday gift for a friend! She previously visited the museum and thought she saw everything. She loved the hunt and all the different ways it evolved! She enjoyed having a new and exciting second experience! She even recommended that I go with my teenage daughter. Great gift purchase!!
Charles Bonetti
It was cool. They definitely have a large collection and lots to read. I'm not sure $15 for the UV / Black light was worth the extra $30 but it was close to our hotel and offered something to do at night. No pictures allowed inside, no touching. Definitely not for small kids.
Sterling Hawkins
Definitely worth the experience if you enjoy spooky things. Downstairs is where we spent most of our time. Loved reading the stories most things had. I'm not sure if UV flashlight is worth the extra $. as I mainly used reg light to read but my fiancée thought it was cool to see the blood and what not on items.
T Fox
While you will get some feelings of outer energy, I found most of the items to be lacking in information.
As a Gray I absolutely treat each item as if it is as described but again, the energy was from only a few items.
Loud stomping back and forth upstairs made even slightly trying to focus an energy almost impossible. No, they were not footsteps of phenomena. The extra charge for the UV light was upsetting as well. Since it doesn't show a thing. Anything in a case has a lot of reflection, especially with the ambiance, so they don't do well anyway.
My family and I did the "sit challenge" and I chose to do mine alone. This was the only time I was able pick up on a solid energy. I chose to sit in the lower realm. Unfortunately we were almost done when I finally got an interaction. 2 hands were on my forearms. Very cold. I just started getting tapped on the leg when the attendant came down and ended our challenge. We all made it obviously.
The staff is very nice. They do their job and stay attentive. It was a good time and a nice way to spend an hour or so even though I was personally expecting more.
My biggest issue...the blatant disrespect I saw happening on the cameras downstairs. People went down in groups, laughed and flipped off artifacts. Whether they have these "possessions" or not, that's disgusting and they weren't asked to leave. We actually ended up cutting our tour short because I refused to watch the disrespect go on.
All in all, good time, good staff, clean environment. Just don't go with expectations of the hype but also....don't disrespect what you don't know.
Livemovie Nights
We came all the way from the Florida Keys to see this amazing Museum! My family & I loved it and we are so excited for the after-hour events! Highly recommended. We got to witness; an item move that is behind glass! My daughter's shirt got pulled/tugged on. My wife thought she had seen a ghost /tall man standing near an item when she looked back nothing was there. However, I had a few unexplainable things happen, while talking to the Claire doll. I heard a child's voice say hello - (I was the only one in the room) I also thought she moved her leg; I told the staff right away and they said that is very common for her to do and that they have video of her moving online. Very cool place to read what everyone had experienced with said items etc. WE are so glad we made the trip to Nebraska to visit. We will be back. WE give it a 10/10 Highly recommend!

I decided to go here for something to do on a Sunday afternoon while I was going to college in Omaha. I have been ghost hunting many times and to many ghost tours and museums all over the place including Vegas, Deadwood, etc. Ive never scared easily at any of them. I didn’t go in with huge expectations. The upstairs is super interesting with lots of cool artifacts and stories. The lower level is where some of the proclaimed darker, more dangerous artifacts are. There was only one other couple ahead of me when I went downstairs but they finished pretty quick and went back up so I was down there alone. I didn’t think much of it and continued on, going to the back area in which you are supposed to put holy water on before and after visiting. Well I started to get the creeps at this point. I went further and further back. They give you a little flashlight to use as the place is dimly lit. I got to the back, allegedly volatile and dangerous exhibit and my flashlight suddenly went out. I thought oh whatever, dead batteries. I stepped back from the area and it came on only for it to go out again as I got close to the same exhibit. At this point the creepy feeling consumed me, I couldn’t take it anymore and I went bolting upstairs to the front desk where I told the management about my experience. They said they “weren’t surprised” and they pretty much refuse to go down there alone. I was on the fence about chalking my flashlight ordeal up to a cheap and over used flashlight until….my key fob on my car quit working the rest of the evening . I had never had any issues with it. I called my husband and said we need new batteries for it, etc. about an hour after getting back to my room it started working again and it’s been several months, never changed the batteries or had any problems with it again. So what exactly caused all these batteries to quit working during and after my visit to the museum, idk. But it was definitely a great experience and a great story for people who believe in the paranormal.
Donia Rattei
So I definitely believe there is a difference between believers and nonbelievers. Certain things I really felt very strong energy. Now my husband is a nonbeliever. He really didn't feel anything. Thought somethings were interesting but mostly went for me. I will definitely come back with our him.
Nihal Atawane
I was skeptical initially. My friend and I thought it would be a good laugh. Things were okay on the main floor. Some really interesting artifacts with good stories. But it really got weird when we went to the ground floor.
My friend immediately felt uneasy and had to use the restroom. But we powered through. Some really creepy artifacts downstairs, but Claire was the worst. I'm writing this the following morning after constant nightmares about her. There's something very strange about that doll. I guess we didn't ask permission to enter or something?
Anyway, if you don't get easily spooked and if you believe in the power of the paranormal, I highly recommend it.
STAY AWAY FROM CLAIRE
Jeff Shimerdla
Went on a ghost hunt there for the first time. Been there before to visit during the day. Highly recommend if you are into the haunted and history. Only Zak bagans museum is better. So lucky to have this amazing place here. Great staff. Owners were wonderful. Amazing place.
Kristin Jones-Buchanan
Creepy Creepy Creepy! When I tell you I went in skeptical, I mean, I was rolling my eyes at things and laughing. Until I wasn't. I had a pretty amazing encounter with a doll and the basement made me so uncomfortable! 10/10 would go again.
Destiny Nolan
Super fun experience!
We plan on going back with a group of friends on the weekend so we can have a tour with the paranormal equipment and possibly do a sit challenge.
Rebecca Hoffmann
This place is amazing if you like haunted things I definitely recommend visiting.
Astro Jetson
The experience that you get from this place is top notch the amount of things they have to read and soak in are stunning so much history in this building and the spooky feel is definitely there if you enjoy the paranormal and want to have a frightful experience go and enjoy your self they also sell crystals and sage as well
Beck
I could have spent all day here!!! Such fascinating objects and I love that they have story cards attached to each item. Great place to come if you love the haunted and paranormal. All of their artifacts are well preserved and it is a great place for a little history too. Friendly staff and great gifts up front. I am dragging everyone I know here!!! I participated in a 10 minute sit challenge that was fantastic and the black light self guided tour was so much fun!
Update 2.27.2022: Second visit and it was just as amazing as the first! They had new exhibits and some really dark stuff!! Thank you so much!
Shelia David
A unique museum of cursed objects.Among the collection is dolls, clowns, photos, and more.Located at 11th and Douglas in Omaha.Self guided tours( with flashlight are $15..with luminous lighting is $25.) Very interesting is your into the spooky artifacts! A replica of 1-25 of the Annabelle doll is found also, here.Join the hunt for other dolls like Anna or Mayla.
Meghan M.
So it is neat in the sense that it’s a paranormal museum, and there’s not really anything else like it around. I have no doubt some of the objects stories are real, or, at least the people who donated them truly did believe these things. But some seemed very generic, and after reading reviews and hearing apparently some of the stories are the same on different items, not enough backstory, etc combined with the spooky “haunted house” type effects it kind of dulls the authenticity of it. But I get it, they’re trying to create a mood! $20 is just a little to much in my opinion. But I know a lot of other people mentioned that as well, overall if your into that stuff it is a neat thing to see, even once. Who knows, maybe you’ll experience something 🤷♀️
Mark Zaricor
Overall an interesting experience. They have a lot of things to see, and a small descriptive card to go with almost everything, so if you plan to read them all, expect to be here a while. The museum is kept very dark, so be aware. They do provide a flashlight with your entry fee, or, for an extra $10, you can get a UV flashlight (flashlights are returned at the end of your visit). My only real "complaint" is that they don't allow any photography, but I understand their position. If you think this could be your thing, then I would definitely check it out.
Michaela Robles
So my boyfriend & I visited the museum today, and was expected to return for the haunted ghost hunt. We too, experienced the flashlights, one of ours went out downstairs. And when we went to the wall with all the mirrors my flashlight started flickering. Anyways needless to say, we didn't make it to the ghost hunt, because when we left earlier from the museum, we were in a car accident. Totalled our car, and we are visiting from KC.
skittles537
Loved seeing all the haunted artifacts and story behind them. Had a few weird feelings, some nauseous feelings and a but of hair raising.
Stephen Hill
Too many dolls and not as much of a variety of items on display. We like the place okay to kill time, but it seem like it was a little bit pricey for what it was. But it was okay.
Eleni
It's a nicely set up, self guided tour. A little pricey for me, $20 a person and there's a $10 upcharge for a blacklight to "see evidence" on some artifacts. It was featured on Ghost Adventures which is pretty cool. Nothing to get too excited over.
BlizzTheCasul
I came in with excitement and high hopes and came out with dread and a dead phone.
Leave your phone in the car, this should seriously be a sign.
katie howard-ulmer
We enjoyed it. We did the self guided tour and took our own small flashlights. A lot of reading on each item but interesting stories. It's a museum and was not scary. With the reading each item it took us approximately 2 1/2 hours for the tour. Had the 2014 movie Annabelle doll behind the case which was a nice surprise.
Haley Canipe
It's interesting. It was definitely something to do and different, the reason for four stars is because the staff was excellent! They were so friendly and awesome. I wouldn't recommend the blacklight portion, it's a LOT of reading and not very easy. At most, just have one person get one for the experience, you can definitely share because the blood/DNA portions aren't that often and you can totally share. If I come back, it will legitimately be because the staff rocked and made it worth it and bumped it up to four stars.
Leon Fox
Really cool! However I don’t think it’s worth the additional $10 to rent a black light as it makes it harder to see in some of the cases and the “DNA spots” are still not that easy to see.. would also be nice if they included a regular flashlight with it as well. 10/10 highly recommend but skip the blacklight.
Miss Cellaneous
Worth the price! Honestly I enjoy my time and the self tour was something I really enjoyed with my girls.I didn't feel rush and was able to enjoy learning about each item. Worth the drive downtown. I'm definitely coming back for the night tour and will definitely pay the rental. Maybe the sitting challenge as well.
Update: my friend who was with us ended with scratches. We are definitely coming back!
Con Mc
I went here just last night kinda sad I didn’t see anything but that’s not promised. Owners super nice and was very open to questions, and even told us some upcoming displays, and even showed us some videos not on any of their social media’s yet, excited to see them again. Definitely coming back soon. And want to take on the sit challenge. Very interesting. They will tell you if it’s just for display as very few things were. Also pretty cheap, well worth the experience. $15 for a normal flashlight and $25 for UV flashlight. Definitely know what you want before you get it. You can even pay 20 for a Sbox which is very fun to use.
Ryan Bjork
I came here the other night with my friend not quite knowing what all to expect. I’m glad that I came however because it was a really fun experience. The owners were really nice and it was obvious that they were very passionate about what they were doing. They were very open to questions being asked and even told us some of their own stories and showed us pictures and videos of things that had happened. Even if you don’t believe in this sort of thing it is still a cool place to go and see because it has a lot of things that you won’t see almost anywhere else. I would love to come back sometime and to go through one of their ghost hunts and possibly attempt the sit challenge.
Andrew G
This is definitely a really cool and creepy place. All the artifacts are extremely creepy and interesting, but there is A LOT of reading. It would be nice to have an audio tour offered.
Also, do not buy the $25 UV light tour. There’s like 2 or 3 items that show blood splatters, and it really just makes it harder to read the cards. But I would definitely say the tour is worth the $15 they charge for the base tour.
Joann Thomas
The museum has many interesting pieces. I enjoyed the exhibit. However, the stairs makes it difficult for older or handicap people to enjoy. Stairs are extremely steep and not for anyone that has problems walking. Bought the $40 tickets for the lock in, $40 equipment and $30 for the sit in. Fun but stick to the tickets only. The others are only money makers for the business.

This place is really cool. The Owner's seem SUPER NICE!! It was crazy that I experienced chest tightness as soon as I walked through the door where the Haunted Artifacts are. I Love that each item has a story. Seen this place on the Travel Channel. If you have not been there... I STRONGLY recommend that you go. Thanks Museum of Shadows.
Ashley Brage
Its very much a museum. Every item has a little label to explain it's origins. The stories were definitely creepy which matched the vibe of the place. we were in and out pretty quick because we didn't want to sit and read every single lable. It was creepy, but we didn't experience anything paranormal however we also didn't want to pay extra for the sit in or anything above the normal entrance fee.
Jenny P
Whoa! So creepy! So many scary dolls in one area!! There is a lot of unique items that are old and have a story behind them!! Make sure you have time to read through everything to get the story! The ladies that were helping were just a delight! They were happy to answer any questions you had! We will have to go back and check out the haunted tour!
Zombie Red Panda (MandaPanda)
The staff and owners are amazing, and really know what they're talking about. While I was there a doll fell and before they jumped to the conclusion that it was supernatural they immediately reviewed the footage of that room and were able to conclude it was due to human interaction. But the fact that they actually investigate other than just assuming it's supernatural is amazing. I will say the objects do have definitely have energy with them really the places amazing. I will make this a "have to" spot on my list whenever I'm in town. 10 out of 10 would recommend
Kimmie Ash
This place is absolutely AMAZING!! The Next Realm is BY FAR my favorite room! I did a sit challenge in the next realm, and I SWEAR I HEARD HOOVES. Definitely plan on going back!
Hillary Moore
A very cool place to be slightly creeped out! Went on a spooky date and really enjoyed it. The creepy dolls were my favorite and there are a lot of them. I did NOT spend any time in the clown corner or the extra haunted area. I was too much of a chicken 🤣 …
ivy cook
This is a good way to spend an hour or two. Don't expect much, and be prepared for very little light. They give you cheap little flashlights. It's okay. Some items not believable at all. Some new items were trying to be passed off as very old antiques. Good entertaining trip. But don't expect too much.
Brad Hess
Pretty cool little place with lots of oddities, haunted dolls and artifacts, and a creepy feeling. I didnt pay the extra money for the black light flashlight, and I don't really think it would b worth it. The info cards are hard enough to read with a regular flashlight. For 15 bucks, it's worth it. There are several very creepy things to see, even for the skeptic.
Emileigh Nagunst
Is interesting and creepy, but way to over priced and frankly boring.
Anya Smith
it was fun and creepy at the same time ok felt negative energy down in the basement
P C.
The staff were very nice and friendly, I enjoyed the exhibits and display pieces. I only would suggest maybe 2 things:
The stairs to the lower level are pretty steep and that rail felt kind of iffy. I had kind of a hard time getting down with my disability in my legs. The downstairs is where the real wild stuff is...maybe find a way to make it more accessible?
It would have been nice to have had one or two designated sitting chairs, even a simple folding chair. I didn't see any when I was wandering around, but it would be nice.
You guys have done a really great job on the museum and filling it with compelling and thought provoking pieces. Thank you.
alicia galvan
Staff/owners are super friendly and take time to speak with everyone! Very interesting place! I love how every artifact has their own story and you can read about each one. Will definitely being going back!
Dustin Martinez
I sought this museum out for my own curiosity, and made my gf tag along. Little did I know the fire it would awaken inside her. Now we're spending a considerable amount of time in ghost hunts. It was a great time.
Lee Spencer
Pretty fun from a history stand point! Lots of old dolls and neat oddities and artifacts. Some items seemed to be (unintentionally) dishonest, though. Most notably, a pair of some sort of scissors or shears that claimed to have handles made of bone. As a born-and-raised rural Nebraskan, it was very clearly antler. Though, as my companion pointed out, antler *is* a bone haha!
I expected more, but that's my bad :P I'm a hard skeptic and I expected something to sway me just a little, but there wasn't a single creepy vibe in the whole place.
They keep the building dark and have blacklights throughout the exhibits as the only light source. They hand out flashlights for you to be able to read the descriptions on exhibits, but I struggled a bit in trying not to get too close and somehow still be close enough for my eyes to work.
Still, unless you have a lot of time to spend, it's worth multiple trips just to get caught up on all of the reading that goes into the self-guided tour! I'll attempt a second visit the next time I'm in town :)
Magan Strimer
honestly I had a really good time im hoping my 10 min of solitary makes it onto thier socials as my friends watched me through the cameras & had a total of 10ish orbs passing by 2 that I could see physically & they could see a shadow sitting next to me on the bench. I would love to bring an ovulus here & see what could be documented, witnessed a couple objects shift on thier own, heard Claire welcome me into the back room, no I did not see her & was more interested in the bones, but it was cool to hear correspondence from spirits etc. A mellowly active place. protect yourself, protect the objects, and like dealing with anything supernatural don't be stupid.
Sasha Baker
My wife and I enjoyed our experience! Amazing, friendly, energetic, and educated staff. Never been to a place with so much energy. I was starting to sign a document to go in then instantly got really dizzy and lightheaded. It felt heavy in there, nauseous feeling, but fascinating to me. The basement is a little darker, as in darker room, and satanic items, a must see, don't worry there's holy water! Walking back up my legs felt weighed down I mean I made it back up hahaha but very heavy foot steps. Definitely go and check it out for yourself. Post your experiences would love to hear it.
Frankie MacGregor
I went because I was looking for a low-risk of getting covid activity, which it definitely is. I'm not really into this sort of thing so my opinion is pretty much worthless here. The place is kept pretty dark and you are given a flash light for your tour. There are hundreds of artifacts (mostly dolls) with a little card attached explaining how it is haunted. I have a bum left eye so I had difficulty reading the cards unless both my flashlight and my friend's were shining on the card. Print is a bit small so bringing a magnifying glass could be helpful. The little cards tell a story from an unknown person, mostly written in first person, so it comes off a bit odd because you don't know who is telling the story. It's A LOT of reading. I wasn't up for it. I found all the coffins to be cool and interesting. There is a main floor and a basement. I paid $15 admission.
Drew Bankston
My wife and I visited this museum and had an amazing time. There was a lot of paranormal activity and the owners have the right equipment, combined with a good knowledge not only of ghost hunting, but of the items in the museum. They are familiar with the various histories and are cautious enough to take care of the first timers. I highly recommend this museum if you’re curious about the paranormal and open to an exciting experience!
Brett Brazier
I took my wife here for date night. We had a ton of fun. The place is not for the faint of heart. It cost us 25 dollars (a person) to do the tour with the UV light. Its worth it though trust me.. I will caution you some items can make you feel a little dizzy or nauseous, if you're sensitive to it. Not a place for young children but were going to be going back with our 14 year old.
Rowan Roehr
I went with two of my friends and we had a great time. We accidentally spent longer than we planned to because of how interesting everything was. I plan to come back soon!!
Christopher Johnson (Chris)
Like it's great, they don't alway pictures so just kinda stroll around a read for awhile
Kirk Douglas
Love that there's a story behind each artifact. For those that like the spooky stuff and for anyone with an open mind, this place is great. The general admission during the day was cool but the ghost hunt after hours was amazing. If you're planning to visit please keep an open mind and you will enjoy it. For your open safety please follow the directions of the employees. At least a handful of artifacts that you don't want following you home.
Adrian Linden
I just want to say this was the best way to spend an anniversary yet!!! Definitely had some spooky things go on, like hearing our names over the spirit box, amongst other things like satan not once but twice. Communicated with one of the dolls that said “hello” in a soft voice and when I asked if I could bring her home the reply through the spirit box was a soft “forever” in the same voice. Also heard a creepy laugh at some point. We did the sit challenge in the bone room which the only place I felt…uneasy. My husband is usually the scared one but he was brave and sat on the floor and I on the bench. My upper middle back felt real heavy so I was holding his shoulder tight. Then I felt a brush on my shoulder and jumped. There is no wind in the basement so couldn’t of been my hair. I also started coughing/choking uncontrollably while down there I made it through but longest 10 minutes of my life. When leaving I felt a strong urge to take my favorite doll with me or at least say goodbye. It was definitely odd. When we left I was actually sick. Almost puked outside the front of the building…my husband had to drive us home. Even though I was scared out of my witts, I can’t wait to go back. I’d love to bring my father as well. This place is worth the visit, and definitely recommend the spirit box and a sit challenge. Just be prepared, you will walk out a believer if your weren’t before!
Spike Lee
Firstly, all of the staff are very pleasing and kind people! Itd be worth the visit to just see them! But thats not all! There are many artifacts and haunted objects for your viewing pleasure! One of the biggest categories of museum was dolls. Though this was not all. Not only does this place have a cool spooky atmosphere you get to learn quite a but of history of the surrounding areas and more. If you ever get the chance to you should definitely go check this out! It is worth the time spent!
Jelly Yee
It was definitely fun and cool. There are a lot of interesting objects and almost everything has a written description. As all museums go I was notified about being watched visually, which is fine and normal. However I was not told that they are recording/listening to what you say- which I find a major privacy violation. Especially when the owners talk to you about what you were saying, which was incredibly creepy and not in the way the museum intended.
Amber M
Came to Nebraska to visit relatives and found this place. I love the occult and almost anything scary. Dolls and clowns have never scared me so I was pretty disappointed while looking around the first floor. Ayda was a treat though, I even got to give her a Peter rabbit stuffed animal. The basement was much more cooler and had items that had been used in rituals and even had a Baphomet statue. I did a ten minute challenge in an upstairs room. It wasn't as dark as I was hoping. Next time I'll try the challenge in the basement!!
Dakota McNair
I was so excited to go here, I cancelled my birthday party and decided to come here instead. Upon entering I didn't feel much, but the items were so cool to see and read about. The longer I spent inside of the museum though, the more I was affected. By the time we had reached the basement I was in such a fog that I could barely stand and make a coherent sentence. The energy here is INTENSE. I wish I could have gotten more hard evidence to make my very skeptical fiancé a believer. But we WILL be back and next time I will do the sit challenge. Even if you don't experience anything, the items in this museum are incredible to read and learn about. Not to mention the staff are great and the owners are very nice!
Sky Keet
Haven't visited in person, but bought the monthly sub of the live feed. Within the first couple hours of casual watching I saw something flash by the cross and also something flicker by the chairs on the left. Can't say for sure what they were, but interesting all the same. Did not appear to be insects. Looking forward to see what else might pop up :)
FNG
My fiance and I went here today and we had alot of activity especially downstairs. The staff like the manager Cameron was a really amazing knowledgeable guy. He's got such an amazing aoura and I can't wait to go back and experience the full extent of energy this place has to offer. You won't want to leave and you won't regret it.
Noah Kozel
Amazing experience! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was awesome! Had a spirit box call a name that I don’t publicly use, and when asked if someone was present the word “somewhere” came through followed by the name again!! I would love to come back and see if I can experience anything else
Evil Shady
LOVE THIS PLACE!!! We seen it on TV and we had to go!!!!!!!! Went with some friends today and it was so awesome! We had so much unexplained paranormal activity happen! (Seen what looked like a dark shadow figure walk past our group in the doorway in doll hall! my friends shirt got pulled, The sit challenge was so creepy! I highly recommend going! you will love this place if you are into the paranormal and haunted artifacts!!! 20 stars!!!!
Mikey Macuh
Great spooky vibe, did the sit challenge loved every second
Rodd Johnson
Had a great time. Definitely would recommend.
Zoe Graves
I wasn't expecting much but when we got to use a spirit box to communicate, it really upped the intensity. We had an interaction with two little children and some satanic stuff as well. I suggest you say a prayer when you leave. But supe FUN overall!
Erik Luna
I've been going here since they were in Plattsmouth. The owners and everyone working here are polite. Every artifact has it's own story. Each item has some sort of attachment to it.
I have experienced things here like nearby voices when no one else was there. I can't garauntee you will experience anything similar because it's different for everyone. It may or may not happen. If you are a fan of the paranormal in general then I highly recommend visiting here.
Nick
Amazing place, respect for those that have gone before. Know their material, and can help resolve any accidental issues you might cause exploring this gloriously haunted Museum. No photography, probably not great for the easily spooked or those with a history they'd rather forget.
MICHELLE SMITH
I Was thrilled to view the artifacts that so many people have witnessed to be haunted ort hat have spirits attached to them.My daughter is susceptible to the paranormal and has visited on many occasions .She has a different story each time of the spirits whom have encountered her. Its worth the visit if you are a believer as we are.
Larry Peoples
Very neat place would definitely like to take my son next time he had to work today when we went but I think it was enjoyable to read all the tags of who donated the items and where they are from very impressed with the museum and the girls at the counter up front were great
katie gobelet
This place, just wow. It is legitimately full of haunted objects. I've been to several similar places, none compare to this glorious brick building. The energy surrounding some of that stuff is just incredible. Heard and felt some crazy things in here. Will definitely come back for round 2!
Charlene Marion
My husband and I enjoyed spending our Valentine's Day evening participating in a Ghost Hunt. We loved being able to read the history behind all the artifacts. The owners are amazing and very knowledgeable about the artifacts. This place is legit and I'm certain every visit to their museum will be different than the last. We can't wait to go back!
Nate Padilla
My coworker and I went here this past weekend it was my first time there, her second time. Didn't know what to expect since Ive had no experience with the paranormal, but I was open minded about the whole thing. We rented a voice box and a ghost meter and strange things happened. for example we were in the upstairs room , nothing was really going on and my meter wasn't going off, so I asked my coworker if we should leave and go check out the basement, right when we agreed to do so and turned away and went towards the stairs a voice came through our box and we heard a spirit say "wait..." right as we were about to leave. a few other things like that happened but that was probably my favorite. The staff there are amazing and super friendly and will answer any questions you ask them. I defiantly recommend coming here if you are interested in the paranormal, however I did get really freaked out the first 45 mins of being there. I started having panic attacks , if you feel like this may happen to you maybe go with a group for a friend, after awhile I got used to it and I was fine and ended up staying until they closed. Overall super fun time and I will defiantly come back!
Jae Hart
Great place, good scares and a lot of cool and eclectic creepy artifacts and dolls. Definitely do the sit challenge downstairs. Get the flash light so you can see and read everything, not the UV light, it's too dark. Costs about $40 for the whole experience. Nebraska gem, will for sure be back.
Brian Majurinen
Skeptics will find nothing here that will change your mind. My wife, daughter and I checked this place out a few weekends ago as a curiosity. The couple who run the place are super friendly and helpful. Admission was a whopping $15 per person and it was extra for the phone ghost monitor we rented.
Entry came with a story about FBI agents verifying items and how they have the most haunted doll. The items you can look at are cool, but there's nothing about them that you can believe actually happened. The basement is not finished and has no items, but you can sit down there in the dark if you want. Cameras watch everything and you can't take pictures outside.
If you are into the paranormal, you might enjoy this place. If not, spend your money elsewhere.
Tori Jensen
One of the best experiences i've ever had. my friend and i sat and communicated with the Zo doll and she answered every question we asked with the K2 meter. the staff was amazing and were super interactive and they walked around and told us about their own experiences and some of their favorite artifacts that they're attached to. Jordan was amazing and we were so excited to tell her our experience with Zo. definitely coming back soon!
Travis Johnson
Easily one of the most unique places in all of Omaha!! So many creepy artifacts and they have something called the sit challenge and it’s such an intense experience something you have to try!!!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!!! Owners Nathan and Kaleigh are pretty cool too :) since I have gone I have told all my friends and family they need to go!!! Keep up the great work you guys!!!
Autumn B
Felt it was a bit overpriced for looking at dolls and 666 type decor in the dark, to sum up the experience.
It was ok and interesting but not for $20
renee otterness
We have been to the museum on several occasions the owners and staff are always willing to answer any questions we have regarding the items. I have had my hair pulled and been grabbed on numerous occasions during ghost hunts. Definitely more active than other Midwest haunted attractions I have been to in the past. Can't wait to see what happens every time we come in.
Erika Moreno
Great time. Spooked my family and experienced some amazing action
Holly Graham
This place is so legit! I went on a Ghost Hunt with 2 of my friends awhile ago and we were hoping for a paranormal experience. We were upstairs asking questions and all of a sudden a door slammed! No one was downstairs. I was so happy I finally had a paranormal experience! Nate and Kaliegh are the best owners. They are so kind and love to hear about the crazy experiences you have. I absolutely love this place!
Tony Cantu
Was an interesting and cool experience. Went w a relative on the self guided tour.
Lori Sadler
Went to the new Omaha location. I liked the Plattsmouth location better. I had just gotten downstairs to see what they had down there and then workers came down and said everyone had to leave the downstairs because someone decided to do a sit challenge. I didnt like that. They should do those outside of business hours.
Jeremy Johnson (Liquid)
The museum was very interesting. Lots of spooky things. Don't waste your money on the blacklight flashlight, not worth it.
Karly R
Wow! What a treasure this meuseum is. I am a believer in the paranormal and I have been wanting to come in so badly, finally my husband and I came today and were here for a good 2 hours. I could have stayed all day! Absolutely loved it so much I could work here. Something I have always been interested in and it's so awesome to live 3 minutes from here. Going to bring family and friends so I can have an excuse to come back! Definitely going to be scheduling a ghost hunt next!
Kristina Murphy
We very much enjoyed this experience of walking through the museum of haunted objects. The staff were both very knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend you go see this museum for a unique and memorable experience.
Trisha Morton
I love this place!! I have been here multiple times and have had different experiences every time. I have been tapped on and even had an awesome experience having to do with my grandpa that has passed. The tour is great but I love the ghost hunts!!
Novio Mohga Amsor
Wish i can go there but am a scaredy-cat
So am stuck in my Old town
Desiree Piele
First timers. Was wanting to see and experience more. They ran out of spirit boxes, which was a bummer. Lots of informative displays. Need more gift shop options. Overcrowding was an issue. Customer service was good.
Wine Lady
AMAZING GEM. This place was awesome 🤩 Tons of spirit energy , a bit overwhelmed by how much energy is there but at the same time so cool. I will seriously bring everyone I know ! If you don’t believe it’s OK, they don’t push anything on you, just give you the space to look around and that’s awesome. I will be back many more times!!!! …
billie malesker
Honestly, I was kind of disappointed in the museum. Staff was friendly, but the actual content of the museum wasn't what I expected. There were a few neat items, but nothing as scary as I had anticipated. I would suggest maybe trying a bigger package than just the self guided tour with the UV light.
Dena Stuckenschmidt
I have been to the museum 3 times now. I have experienced things I never thought possible. This place is amazing! Kaleigh and Nate are the absolute best! The are so knowledgeable and are focused on giving everyone the best experience possible. Their passion for their work is very evident. 10 stars out of 5!!
adam c
This is a nice little museum with some very interesting things regarding the past. As a skeptic, nothing in here appeared paranormal or beyond explanation. However, it is really good entertainment for those who are believers. We saw many people who were really into it and got freaked out, so job well done with them. For me, I would have liked to see more evidence as opposed to stories, and the sit challenge needed a bit more... it was simply sitting in a basement. For the price, I was a underwhelmed, but if you want some interesting history with a bit of entertainment in small town nebraska then hit this place up.
Chase Fitz
This place is kind of small, but the staff were very nice, however take things very seriously. If you do not beleave in ghosts or paranormal activity, I highly advise you seek other locations, especially if this is your first time visiting an area such as this. I was part of a 10 man group that was kicked out early, due to yours truley. (And no I am not proud of that.) I unintentionally provoked the spirits and summoned a portal.
I am not really aware what this means/ does, but none the less it was a fun experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone who beleaves in ghost stories or is experienced in such beliefs, yet discourage devils advocates, or even quick witted people from visiting. ( As in, if you are a
non beleaver and petty do not go. The owners want you to treat the items here as if they where grandma's China, and religiously beleave there are spirits attached to them. This was hard for me to even fathom , but if i do return it will be with a better respect for that point of veiw.)Also pay attention to the rules as there are alot. Lastly, being the pessimistic person I am I could find little to no evidence this place is fake. The owners are straight forward and from experience very thorough with their beleifs. If I go back it will be with a better understanding of procedures.
Jenny Lynn
I was there a few weeks ago with my son and we are tottaly into the paranormal and we ABSOLUTELY loved it there kaleigh was super sweet and all around a kind spirit. Nate took us back and explained the building to us and I always ask paranormal questions and he was absolutely amazing and answered all my questions. I did do sit with Sara challenge for 13 minutes and that was the most intence and saddest feeling I've ever felt I have always believed in spirits and demons but I never experienced anything in person but that day i did and I thank them for letting me feel that experience. I will definitely come back there again it is totally worth it. You guys are amazing keep it up and I'm gonna come back and do both challenges next time
Mike Coe
Interesting and fun 1-2 hour visit. Lots to read on each of the displays.
Shanna Claborn
So many great events offered for those interested in ghost hunting. The museum is a must if you are in Plattsmouth, and also worth the trip to go see. The owners are real friendly and down to earth. Also do the sit challenge while you're there, that is if you're not too scared.
Bill E
Dark museum filled with tons of items. Each item has a card with the story behind it. The rooms are dark but the staff provides you with a flashlight to read by. There is also to black out challenge where you can sit in a completely dark basement for 10 minutes. Just inches away from where a dead body was discovered.
Emilee Ritsema
Great experience, but paying for the UV is a waste; only thing it showed was lint. Read a majority of the cards with the items, was there for 1.5-2 hours.
Ryan Lassley
My wife and I visited the Museum of Shadows on 1-28-2017. We both thoroughly enjoyed all the haunted objects and enjoyed reading their unique stories. During the visit as I passed through threshold of the doorway to the west room all the hair on my arms immediately arose. There was an exhibit of dolls in this room. Every time I was near a specific doll in the exhibit the hair on my arms would raise, I would become to feel uneasy and feel the urge to move away. Nate and Kaleigh were very polite, knowledgeable and professional. My wife and I are looking forward to and will be going on a ghost hunt hopefully very soon.
Gem Garcia
I want to say that I'm very pleased about this space and the knowledge of the kind folks running it. They care for their artifacts, individually, and intensively. Very happy to have visited this unique spot! Highly recommend!
Trevor Johnson
Went here last night and highly recommend checking it out. The artifacts that are there are extremely creepy and gives you a serious uneasy feeling. Don’t leave there without doing the sit challenge. 10 mins in the dark, can you make it thru without tapping out. Cool experience.
Paula Larson
Loved loved loved!!! The girls at the entrance lobby were amazing!! So helpful and relatable and we absolutely loved them.... I became floaty feeling and out of sorts the minute we walked into the building. I loved Ayda <3 and she seemed to communicate with me the whole time we were there." The 2nd room".....my husband and I heard growling coming from a corner but my step-daughter and mother-in-law who were standing right next to us heard NOTHING!! (My husband is deaf in one ear)... my step-daughter and I did the 13 min alone challenge in Sarah's room. I will absolutely be back and I will send everyone I can!!
Audra Bullock
Every visit is different depending on the dominant energies. It is scary, exciting and absolutely amazing! An added plus, the owners and staff are great!
Taylor
Had a great time today at the museum. Money well spent. We were there for around 2 1/2 hours looking at everything. We really enjoyed reading the stories that went along with the items. The owners were very nice and welcoming.
I have an open mind when it comes to the paranormal and I felt an odd vibe around a doll named "Pepper."
I am excited to visit the new location and go on a ghost hunt, even if it means hanging out with Pepper again :) I would definitely recommend this place to both believers and nonbelievers
S D
Friendly staff. I felt the $15 per person admission was a little steep for the experience. If the lights were on and the building had good airflow, it would feel and look like an antique shop.
Suger McPhearson
I personally was so excited when I found out this was near by me. Walking in you can feel the heaviness of the spirits. The owners are so kind and are highly educated on every single piece and artifact that they have in the museum. I cannot wait for my next visit here. And I'm not going to lie, meeting Ayda was breathtaking and meeting Demus was amazing! (Bring him change) This place leaves you with more on your mind then when you came in. It is well worth stopping by and giving it a look, seeing and feeling for yourself! (Sorry for misspelled names)
Eric Del Toro (ED)
Definitely check their Facebook for the latest news. Drove there to find out it was closed due to inclement weather but the next day, it was worth it! I recommend on planning to be there for an hour or two so you can read every last one of those items in the museum.
I got both the UV and regular flashlight. I recommend just the flashlight. After awhile, it was a bit hard to read with just the UV.
Misha Ziehe
Pretty cool. Take your time, read the cards attached to the items.
Mind On Beauty
From watching the live video they have on their website I have seen orbs after they have done investigations it was so crazy to see!😱 I have also seen a man's face while looking back at some screenshots I took while watching. When watching you usually hear strange things like things being dragged across the floor and strange voices and nobody is there. I can only imagine actually being there and experiencing in person! I'm always up for a good ghost hunt. This place seems to have a lot of activity from what I have seen from the live feed. So glad they put the live camera up so people can and share what they see or hear.
Catie Foote
Very nice and interactive staff, fun experience with REAL spirits!!! I did the sit challenge and was touched, and I also saw a shadow figure!! I highly recommend you check this place out!!
Jessica Finley
I have been to the Museum several times, this I'd the most active place I have been too. The owners are very knowledgeable and very nice. I highly recommend visiting whether you are interested in the paranormal or if you just want to see and learn the history of the items and building.
S&i
Loved this place. Never heard of it and just walked in and looked around the museum. It was very fun. I'm going to be coming back a lot. Staff is friendly, lots of great artifacts. I could spend all day here.
Kristy Krogh
I have visited both sites of the museum. The first location i experienced lights going off on my emf detector when i asked questions i heard foot steps, my daughter saw a apparition of a man which she was able to describe in detail and the owners are very friendly and knowledgeable if have a question they are quick to answer it. listening to both their stories has not only been interesting to me, but informative as well. The second location of the museum is much more active then the first. I have heard a disembodied child's cry and a male voice as well, the male voice said slave master and noone reacted to the voice so i am assuming i am the only one who hear it. I felt like something touched me, i had so many different experiences this reveiw would be to long if i list them! If you aren't afride to experience an encounter from a spirit i highly recommend you visit Museum of Shadows!
Speshall Coleman
Great experience. I have always wanted to do something haunted, and I am glad I got this off my bucket list. Wonderful people work here!
Kenneth Chrisman
Fantastic night of paranormal investigation. By far the best experience I've had so far hunting for the paranormal. The owners are very professional and knowledgeable, they make you feel welcome and at ease. Our experience was phenomenon we saw moving shadows, several members of our group experienced being touched, and with the aid of the K-II and several flashlights we communicated with several entities. Can't wait to do it again!
J M
Seeing the Annabelle movie prop doll was fun. Remember, no touchy the exhibits!
Tyler Lee
Absolutely fantastic! My friend and I have been talking about going for months and finally got the chance tonight. I have never experienced so much activity in my life. 10/10 would recommend to anybody!
Emily Tope
I absolutely loved this place. The stories were fascinating and the museum was set up really well with each room more interesting then the one before.
Jessica L
I really love the spooky vibe, I also enjoy reading and learning about haunted stuff so for me this was a win win. What made it really creepy was when my pants were tugged on when I was downstairs 😳 …
James Sembach
It's was a self freighting experience. There's a carousel, has a child attached to it, she can't leave the building. This overwhelming feeling intensifies as you walk up stairs. My wife felt as if her feet were in cement, so heavy she could not move. After i touched her arm we left, her tears were enough for me.
Augustus Hruby
It was very interesting. The story's behind the artifacts. It was a fantastic time.
Holly Kempkes
Interesting experience for sure. If you're in to this type of stuff I definitely recommend going and checking out what they have to offer.
Sherri Smith
Well worth the trip!!! Eerie and creepy! Super friendly staff!!
Randy Morton
I have visited the Museum of Shadows several times, each time there's a new and interesting artifact and a new experience at the ghost hunts! Worth the price of admission!
Christine Ritchie
Nice collection of haunted objects. Not allowed any pictures inside. Staff is friendly.
Michael Donnelly
We drove about 45 minutes to check this place out. It was a cool experience. Looking at old antiques that may be attracted by spirits.
Craig Peate
Incredible experience! Owners are awesome!! I will be back for more!!!
Kylan Dennis
It was ok. There were a couple of kids yelling at me telling me to make offerings to dolls, telling me I'm gonna die, and just over all, extremely annoying. They kinda killed the vibe for me, but when they left, I had fun.
misty beversdorf
Epic investigation tonight!!! This was our second time at the museum, which is awesome, but our first investigation there. Tons of activity! This place may well be the midwest's holy grail of hunts. Nate and Kayleigh are as legit as they come. They take a scientific approach to investigating the paranormal, which lends credence to a subject that too few take seriously. We are proud to have met them, and we will be back (over and over again, I'm sure).
Beth Land
Was great, flashlight batteries kept draining, hhmmm
Jebidiah
Not worth extra for uv light pluss batteries were pretty much dead but other than that lots of cool stuff to see
Heather Lowry
Had spooky things happen and got to look at tons of neat items. This is a must visit for fans of all things morbid! I just wish you could take photos and video
Jill backstrom
Wow! This place is unreal! We had rented a radio for our tour and it didn't disappoint! We could hear and speak with many entities! I can't wait to come back!
Alicia O'Connor
I guess I was expecting more. Annabelle was the best. Lots of items donated with history which was cool....
Ryan Lueders
Amazing artifacts, very spooky and very kind and helpful workers and guides! Totally worth multiple visits because of how many displays inside the museum.
Susan Sisco
My & I luv this place, unfortunately we were unable to take any photos., but the experience was awesome! I would definitely suggest that you go & experience this awesome place yourself!
Mel Davis
Very fun, it's small but very worth the feeling you get. I'd suggest to go early when no one else is around.
Katie Lochner
This place is pretty cool. People really don’t like old dolls.
Dan B
This place was crazy weird...fun energetic staff, interesting displays in a very moody environment!
Fun visit right before a ghost hunt in Council Bluffs!
Kassy Schell
I will say they have an ecclectic collection of haunted goods on display and kept under lock and key, some items are even under surveillance.
I went for Ayda, I came out with cold chills and the feeling "heaviness" that I couldn't place into words.
I also encountered "Demus."
Word to the wise: "Don't forget to tell Demus "goodbye."
Tour at your own risk!

jackie long
AWESOME!!!!!! I am a psychic . I came to the museum to see if I actually saw or felt something. I was OVERWHELMED IMMEDIATELY WALKING INSIDE THE FIRST ROOM. THE LOWER LEVEL AND NEXT REALM IS A WHOLE OTHER STORY! There was so much going on , even unexplainable things , I felt so sick I had to walk out and take a break. there will always be skeptics, I get that , but coming from a proffessional in the field, this place is EXTEMELY ACTIVE, and HAUNTED. I will be back over and over.
Kembo Music
Do not touch. Exactly what you expect, pop out to peep Annabelle & what not
Daniel “Assualt Maniac” Paisley
What a unique and amazing experience. The owners and staff were so friendly and engaging! Will be booking another ghost hunt soon!
Renee White
We have been several times and have a different experience each time. Some nights are very active and some are quiet, but there is always activity. Nate and Kaleigh are very informative about their processes and the equipment before the event and are always willing to answer questions before, during and after the event. Unfortunately you get people in like MM and his group that don't listen to instructions, talk over every one and just are disrespectful throughout the whole event. Luckily the spirits were still willing to communicate with us. If you are a true believer or a skeptic you are will have a great time. And just may leave a believer!!
If you are just going to come out and be disrespectful, maybe listen to your Momma better about respecting others and stay home.
Tiffany Beatty

One of the most unique museums in the area, nothing compares. If you're into the paranormal at all, I highly recommend visiting.
Emily Williams
Calm down, Cranky Carltons! It is fun. No, there are no jump scares. I don’t know what people expect, but it is cool. The stories people send with their donations are a piece of lovely folklore. The black light flashlight shows very little on some objects, but sadly too much on others. (I just hate kids’ toys having blood on them: grim.). If you get one of each flashlight you can double check what you’re seeing. Yes, the regular flashlights are silly and flicker, but just turn them off and back on. Overall, there is a melancholy reverence, neat artifacts to see, and tall tales with objects that get you in the feels.
