Reviews of Science Museum Oklahoma

I took a group 8-17 & we all had a blast. It’s perfect to escape the weather & well worth the price. The line to get lunch got ridiculously long. Had we waited, it would have been at least 45 minutes just to order. There are a ton of hands on things to do, you can easily spend the entire day there. I will say, the lady at the planetarium seemed a little, um, not nice at first. Once the show began it was different. She’s really good at her job. I think it may have been a field trip day though. Definitely go check this place out. You will be happy you did

It was very unique. Fun. The only thing I think it needed was tracks and hook for our portable hoyer lift (so heavy persons with wheelchairs and no lower body) use can use the bathroom. We love that there is a plus size durable changing table in the restrooms. We would have liked to stay longer and saw all the cool exhibits. So much cool stuff.
($22.78 adult entry price)

This has been a family favorite and we try to visit every time we are in town. There is something here for all ages. It is also deceitfully big. It looks much smaller than it is - you can walk through a door and find yourself in a whole other wing. When planning your trip, here are my tips: Have multiple adults to supervise if you have multiple kids. There is a lot to see and they will want to run off. Some areas are closed off and have only one exit, but a lot of the areas are easy for excited kids to wander off. Wear comfortable shoes. You can spend a long time here. Our most recent visit, we spent 3.5 hours and still didn’t see/do everything we wanted to fit in. We did buy food at the cafe - I feel like the options have significantly decreased since the pandemic, so next time we will bring our food from home - but the food we got was enjoyed. There is a planetarium that does shows, so if you want to see one, be sure to check showtimes - and sometimes the lines will fill up quickly. They also do a live show near the entrance, so check the times for that, too. They are usually big hits, although we did not make it to a show this trip. Parking is free and we did not wait for tickets although we did arrive on a Wednesday.

This is a great way to spend a day with the kids. They have food so you can take a break. There are 2 levels of activities. The tornado booth is mine and my daughter's favorite. As a teen, it was fun, but not as fun as when she was younger. They have a lot of cool climbing areas for younger kids.
Kevin Morgan
Really fun place to take the kids. My wife and I found it entertaining as well. We were there for a few hours and still didn't get the chance to go through all the areas. Plenty to do. I also saw complaints in a bunch of reviews about things being broke. But I only saw one display what was broken. So maybe they've been repairing things. I hope so. Kids loved it and I'd take them back again. But it is expensive so get ready for that!
Les Myrick
Great place for kids and big kids alike. Very interactive and fun. Only reason for 4 stars is that some of the interactive stations and exhibits were closed, under renovation, or just not functioning the way they were intended. And at a cost of 70$ for admission for a family of 4 ( 2 adults, and 2 kids) its a bit of a let down.
Elizabeth Newby
They had an after hours art meets science exhibit. Had a fun time! Learned a lot of new things. Awesome sculpture huge wooden hand holding what looked like a metal bird. Inside were all the cool gadgets! Had a great music performance too! Guitar with old typewriter keys hitting strings. So creative! Lots of fun!
Ashleigh Diacogiannis
We used to live nearby and had a membership—well worth it. It’s still my kids’ favorite place on earth. We had the chance to go back, went two days in a row for probably 6 hours each day. We still could not see it all and my youngest cried when we left. We absolutely love this place. It is massive so if you are visiting on short time, be sure to ask someone for guidance. Don’t miss curiocity or gadget trees. Great new exhibits. Some of the ones that were new 7 years ago have taken a hit from use and abuse. But most everything is working order.
Jim Seifried
Had such a great time making science fun.
A few of the displays didn’t work but that could have happened on that day, it was busy. A lot has been added since I was a kid and there is even displays that I remember seeing 40 years ago, wow!
Had lunch and the burgers were good the fries excellent.
Elisia Swearingen
The whole family had fun. There is so much to do! And they really make everyone feel included. Not 1 but 2 Nursing rooms that included a quieter environment comfy chairs a couple toys for young while mom is busy nursing and a sink! Love being able to wash my hands. This would have been a five star review except....
Nothing had Ben organized and refilled in most of the curiosity activities(paper cups. balls. Costumes ect) and certain activities should have a time limit or some thing. 1 family hogged 1 activety my family really wanted to try almost the whole day. And we were there open to close. Food is not bad priced and something for everyone or your allowed to bring your own. Was an amazing family day we will be doing again.
Nikki Taylor
Fun for all ages! You can easily spend a whole day here. I’m including these photos since I would’ve liked to see the menu beforehand 😉 Also, the Big Bang burger(!) and my vegan salad🥰
Bob Sibley
Just WOW! Loved the live science show! Guy did a great job! Planetarium was also a live show, so that was cool, and the guy had lots of info and was glad to chat! So Much to See, It truly felt like this building must have been bigger on the inside than it was the outside LOL
Great experience!
JD Kirk
Epic science museum! Tons of stuff for the kids to do and funny stuff to answer questions. If you have kids and are looking for hours of fun to keep them entertained, this is the spot! Best part is if you have an Exploration place membership (Wichita Kansas), Union station membership (Kansas City). This is free for you and your baby's! I'll definitely give this five stars for both kids and adults! We were there for two hours and only seen about a third of the place. Trust me when I say it's an all day type thing.
Emily
This is a great place for all ages. I would pay attention to the signs. We nearly left before seeing over half the museum. If we didn't pay attention we would have missed some of my favorite displays. They had cleaning stations throughout with germ x and wipes so we could still interact with everything. It was very educative and enjoyable for all from my parents in their 40s to my little sister who was 6. Alot to see and is worth the price because we spent hours there exploring. We didn't try the food but it was clean all throughout. The had plenty of bathrooms throughout which were clean. The Gymnastics Hall of Fame was one of the areas I didn't expect to see in this museum but ended up being one of my favorites.

We went on a Sunday and arrived right at opening. Paid in advance and walked right in. We spend the entire day there and still didn't see everything. There were so many exhibits and interactive activities. Our children LOVED it. It wasn't overly crowded and we didn't have to wait to use exhibits. It's HUGE, by the way.
Vicky W.
Oh my goodness....it was so thrilling the tilted house soon as I stepped inside I literally flew againt the wall I was so dizzy lol! I had hands on fun with everything I felt like a kid again. You can bring your own lunch and sodas. Also if adults price says 20.00 you bring extra dollar. Kids 15.00 bring extra dollar. The traiin you can tour inside now...that was my most shiniest moments. My eldest daughter said next time we go. it will be just me and her no kids. My grand daughter Mj she took me to the side and said...next time grandma it will be just us. LOL loved it! Definitely going back!
Mike Boswell
We love the Science Museum. Such a great place to spend the day as a family making memories. It is always a good time when we go there.
JOSEPH GONZALEZ
Nice place to see and explore and experience. A great place to take your children. Very pricey
The children will have a great time . This is a place to try at least once. 2 adults $37.90 . 2 children $29.90
You may find some discounts on line

Oklahoma Science Museum is a fantastic place to take kids who are interested in science and technology. The museum has a great selection of interactive exhibits that engage children and encourage them to explore and learn about the world around them.
The museum is well-maintained and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The exhibits are designed to be educational, but also fun and entertaining, making it an excellent destination for families looking for a day out.
Some of the highlights of the Oklahoma Science Museum include the planetarium, which offers an immersive experience of the night sky, and the Tinkering Garage, where children can use their creativity and problem-solving skills to build and experiment with different materials.
Elizabeth Gardner
I have been taking my son here since he was a toddler. Now he's twelve and still gets just as excited! When my husband and I discovered the 21+ night we got even more excited! The themes they do are fun, ineffective, and enjoyable. The exhibits are always being updated so you can continue to enjoy every visit without risk of being bored.
Overall it's also very handicap friendly for the most part. I became an amputee two years ago, and since then have gone back both in a wheelchair and use of prosthetic. Most exhibits had space for a wheelchair, but the carpet was tiring to push across for long amounts of time. Prosthetic was much easier, but I do wish there were a few more places to be able to rest throughout the museum. The prices for the cafe can be a little expensive for the portion sizes you get, but you are allowed to bring in your own lunch, and there is a seating area to eat at. The staff is all so kind, knowledgeable, and make learning fun! There's something for everyone here!
Mary Ross
There are many levels of science and a myriad of interactions that should keep humans of any age engaged and enjoying their time. My three year old was definitely living his best life. Just don't forget to stroll through the gardens for a little decompression after all that stimulation
ram V
One of the best muesuems in the US. Several activities for both kids and adults, one day wasn't enough. Must visit if you enjoy science
Emily Dye
We had so much fun here. My husband in I went there on a date. We were there for 7 hours.
Plenty of Interactive displays and the staff were friendly and happy to answer any questions. We got there towards when it opened and didn’t have to wait in a long line for our tickets.
Lanie Hux
Super fun exciting day!! Loved the Sherlock Holmes exhibit, here until September 6th, 2021!!! 🤔 Had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the Cafe and gift shop! I think the kids are going to love the Astronaut Ice-cream!!! 🚀👍 …
Hope Myers
This was our first visit here after hearing many great things about it. I wasn't all that impressed. A lot of their exhibits were broken, the cost was not conducive to the experience, in my opinion. There was a lot of neat things and we did enjoy the hands on experience. We just wish everything worked.
Chelsey Fuller
Worth every penny! This place has so many hands on exhibits. My three year old loved it. You could spend all day here if you wanted to.
Christy Abbott
We had a great time taking a group of middle school children. There are a lot of entertaining things for all ages, plenty of space to eat, and the staff was so friendly!!
Sandra Hernández
Wanted to bring my little sister and I ended up enjoying it as much as she did. Ive never been to a place of that sort and had fun trying all the tactile and interactive exhibitions. The museum kept going I thought I had already finished and we found a whole new side! Although the interactive aspect is not ideal for covid if you sanitize with the provided sanitizer at all the locations it feels safer.
Carol Terry
Wonderful place for curious kiddos. Lots of interactive exhibits. Overall a wonderful experience.
Maritza Bearden
My first time back since the pandemic started. I had just as much fun as we did visiting on a regular basis before the pandemic. All the employees were wearing masks and I noticed a lot of new exhibits and fun corners. Absolutely recommend it for people of all ages.
Jasmine Harris
My kid loves this place. Everything about the exhibits are great. The planetarium is amazing. The staff are usually super nice and helpful (I've been going for months and only had one genuinely unpleasant interaction, and everyone has off days, so I'm not upset about it) It's a pretty great deal with the membership... for most things. The ONLY complaint I have about the place? The food prices. Even with no sales tax AND the membership discount, it was over $50 to feed a child and three adults. We spend less at full restaurants that don't offer discounts. It sucks because my kid wants to eat there, but it just isn't feasible at these prices.
Thomas Teagarden
Fun for all ages! There's something for teens to infants. We have special needs kiddos and loved how inclusive everything was for our older ASD kiddos ❤️ We can't wait to visit again.
christine cockeran
If spending 6 hours and 15 minutes at the Science Museum does not indicate what a magnificent and spectacular time we had there, then not much else will. Wow!!! It was incredible and I encourage you to take your family for a visit!!! Treat them to a real NASA astronaut freeze dried ice cream afterwards.
Rachael Holt
Fun and engaging museum. We spent hours figuring out the puzzles, interacting with the light and sound exhibit, riding Segway’s and watching the stars. We loved learning about scientists and tornados. Everything was presented in an engaging way. Really well curated.
The cafe was basic yet had ok burgers.
Luis Cordero
Fun place where the kids can learn and have a good time. A lot of activities they can do
Denny Vanderburg
We love the museum and since there are already thousands of reviews saying the same thing I thought I’d focus on something not as mentioned and that’s the cafeteria in the museum. This place is so good it’s unexpected! I’ve only tried a few items but they’ve been really delicious and surpassed expectations! I know it’s not a big part of your day at the museum but it is important to mention that they have really good food in addition to really great exhibits and learning.
Stacy Lyons-Realtor
The museum is so much fun. The grands love it. The staff is super nice and the museum is so clean. We have year passes. We love it!
McKenzie Haile
I’d give more stars if it were possible! This has been the best museum we’ve taken our kids to this far!! There were so many fun, hands-on activities. Our kids, ages 8 and 10, as well as my husband and myself had a blast! Additionally, my daughter lost her phone and the staff found it, put it on a charger for her, and answered when I called so we knew where to find it!
Ava Smith
I went with my school for a women's science conference and it was so fun! All the staff are really sweet and there is definitely plenty to look at and see. I recommend it for any parent with small kids this place will definitely keep your kids busy, and it works with teens as well apparently.
Olivier Antunes
Amazing science museum for kids and adults as well ! Huge space with many activities and entertainment for kids.
=> the price definitely worth it
I have beeb here in July 21, for the Sherlock Holmes exhibition: the extra cost does not really worth it
Teighlor Kunze
This museum was so much fun! We did go over spring break so it was really really busy. Besides that it was a blast! They have a very clean nursing room for moms and babies!
Sherrl Carpenter
I could have stayed here all day and come back for more....the Sherlock Holmes room was one of the best. I am going to bring everyone here...omg forgot the planetarium...very knowledgeable and the staff was gracious and stayed another 15 mins after answering more question..
Great place for children. Pic included
Annod Retnuh
I'ma hafta agree with everyone, get a membership. You can't see the whole place in one visit and it's so wonderful for children (of all ages)! I know we missed some stuff today and this was our second visit ever both about three hours each!
Gets busy, so plan accordingly! Easy stroller rental.
UPDATE: wonderful as always, smelt more like farts this go around.
Jennifer G. Thompson
This was an amazing museum experience and worth the price. There is so much to do. I don’t know if you could fit everything in two days! The kids loved every minute and never wanted to leave. We visited on the first day of spring break and there were so, so many people!
The prices of food and coffee were a bit high. But still worth the convenience. There are multiple playgrounds, videos, and live science performances! I can’t say enough good things about this place.
On the second floor, there are larger than life board games that you can play: chess, battleship, and even a huge litebrite! They have so several restrooms located throughout. Give yourself some time to get familiar with the location so you can be aware of where they are.
Be sure to give yourself so much time to explore. I thoroughly recommend a visit here with kids! It’s amazing.
savanah lane
Really fun place! My kids usually have a great time, but people need to control their older kids a little more! It's great to be hands on and excited with science but there were kids 10 & up that literally were running & trampled my 1 year old in the Play zone. (I was standing right next to her) One older kid stopped on an uncovered slide on the tree house and got another little girl stuck pretty high up (she looked about 3.) Please supervise your children, esp the older rambunctious ones, in this place so it can be a good experience for everyone!
Aby
This place is always amazing!!! It has so many things to do and look at and is always changing it up and adding more!
Krista Zaloudek
Really looking forward to the observatory renovation to be completed. Wish there were more space exploration items available. Pretty pricey for an entry and definitely better suited to children than adult visitors. Free parking available.
Jess
Just went to the museum over the weekend and we had alot of fun. Last time we went was about a year ago. Compared to last year it seemed like the top level had less interactive exhibit and was turned into more of a gaint play area. Over all we had a good experience. My son really enjoyed the electrical area on the bottom level and the employee was super patient in showing my son how all the electrical circuits worked.
Lindsey Hall
Always a good time! Filled with cool experiments with displays explaining the how and why, and some new exhibits every time. There are plenty of places for little ones to explore and play throughout the museum, and plenty for kids at heart to do too.
Tom Stowe
A little too expensive for what you get. The place is big and does have a good amount to see, but much of it was really simple. My 12 year old was a little too mature for the place, while my 9 year old liked it more. It seems like it is more well suited for smaller kids. I feel like we spent too much and left disappointed.
Shelly Thoen
Our family visited the Oklajoma City Science Museum today. We had a great time (ages 4,7,12,14, and three adults)! There was so much to see and experience; interactive displays with informative and interesting postings. We were there six hours and know we didn’t see it all! As a mom/grandmother/retired teacher/and school administrator I thoroughly appreciate the inclusion of Art, Science, Math, and Enginerring activities and displays. Educational AND fun!
Billy Ready
HUGE AND FUN! This is by far the biggest science museum I have even been in! This place has a large amount of fun activities to choose from! Super Kid friendly and also great for Adults! If you like Science Museums, this is your call to go to this one!
Brianna Seals
Always such a great experience here 🤍
Perfect for a rainy day.
Season passes are the best route!
Michelle Stiner
We took our 3 kids 3-8 years old and spent 6 hours here and could have easily spent many more!! The kids loved it! It was so engaging and the staff was friendly and everything was clean!!!
AWEScur Lado
Best to keep out of the cold
Worth the price of one day entry or year membership
AWEScur Lado @YT for inside videos

This place is awesome! Whether you have kids or just want to explore as an adult, there are so many things to do, both hands-on and just learn. It is a little expensive, but it is worth going at least once!
Reinaldo Diaz
I took my daughter here to look around. I hadn't been back here since it was the Omni-plex so many years ago. I enjoyed the hands on science contraptions and my daughter was mesmerised by everything around her. On top of that she made a friend! I had great childhood memories and I'm glad my daughter could also share the same memories.
Felix Felix
Really amazing place. Me and my family had a lot of fun, kids really enjoyed the museum. A lot of interactive things to do, to explore and to experiment. It's perfect for kids from 11 years old and more, but younger kids are going to have fun as well. Consider to spent at least 5 hours or more too really see everything.
Joshua Carter
Wonderful suggestion by the hotel staff. This place is huge and it has so much stuff for the kids to see and plenty of hands-on activities. The kids could have easily stayed all day.
I also LOVED the cycling exhibit!
F G
This place is great for children. Lots of fun exhibits and areas where they can participate in arts and crafts. I would definitely recommend this as a destination for any one with kids whether they're interested in science or not. It's well worth it.
Patricia Foster (Mayalilium)
Most awesome time!! Got there at noon and all 3 kids were able to see everything and experience soooo much!! It was so nice to see kids be able to experience everything... We could of used more time!! I think they loved playing with everything so much they completely got to lose themselves in the moment away from the crazy stuff happening around them and just be kids for a moment. You can play with jacobs ladder, space stuff, experience an earthquake, play huge board games, watch planets explode, do morse code, splash in salt water coming from the ceiling, try to arrange pipes to fix a sinking ship, ride a segway, bounce, pedal a bike, slide down a slide, raise a hot air balloon, play with soundwaves, organize bug parts, play on a balancing beam and a tight rope, ride a carousel, make paper airplanes, get dizzy in the mind games corner, and play with a Tesla tower, dig a hole, listen to a sound booth, do a hearing test, look in a periscope, play a musical instrument, dance with a skeleton and even put on a play.. . And Soo much more.. thanks for the fun!!!!
Michael Byrd
It was really great people were very friendly the staff was very helpful lots of exhibits but didn't get to see the planetarium and had to still wear a mask
Amanda Balaban
An absolute must visit if you have children in Oklahoma City. Huge museum tons of learning activities. Good for all ages. We've been members for 10 years.
Brandy B
We've been twice and we love it! The first time my son was 6 and now he's 12. He had a blast both times! This place is great for kids of all ages. I saw kids from toddlers to teens having fun all day. It's worth it to make the trip. There are just so many things to do and explore! The play areas are big enough for big kids and small enough for little kids too. Everything is so vibrant and really catches your attention. The interactive parts are the best thing about this place. It really makes you use your imagination while teaching you why your brain does what it does.
Chris Bloomfield
Our experience started out great right as we walked in the door. The gentlemen working at the entrance were so nice and they told us places in the museum that the kids would love. Of course the kids had a blast everywhere inside the museum. After visiting more than 100 museums in the last 2 years, our kids said this could be the best in the country. In fact we are planning a second visit because it was so awesome. One of my pictures is of my oldest son throwing a fireball at their super fun explosives show!
Arionna Salazar
This place is AMAZING!! It’s so big, there’s so many things to see and do. My daughter and family absolutely loved this place and will definitely be getting the membership, it’s so worth it!!!
Chris Mathers
Great place to take the kids. Alot of new stuff going on there. Kids, and parents can have fun together. Customer service is great, and all of the team members are great with the kids.
Eileen L. Smith
Oh WOW! Yes you need to stop here. Our 2 hour planned visit turned into 4hours and we still didn't see everything. The children's exhibit was immersive, fun and entertaining. Defy gravity, build airplanes, cars, act on a stage, join a carnival, hand powered fun, springs, slingshots. This was the first exhibit we walked into and it blew us away with its awesomeness. I loved seeing my son riding the pendulum of a giant clock. There is a nursing mothers lounge here. You'll love the name of the snack bar, Pavloves. Take a mental break out in the garden, a fresh air section. Then back into the fray for planets, rockets, tornadoes, torpedoes, robots dinosaurs, tree houses to climb. I can go on and on listing the amazing things this place has. Make the time to stop in here. You will not be dissapointed.
alejandra guerrero
I would highly recommend this place for all ages. We spend at least 4 hours or more and still had a lot more things to see. Great food, great activities. Excelent way for the kids to learn and enjoy.
Elizabeth Bigley
We have a membership. It's a reasonable price, especially for a large family like ours. I take the kids nearly every time we have a school holiday.
Jeff Rutherford
This place was so incredible! There is so much to to see we had to spend 2 days there and and I know there was some stuff we didn't get to see! ASTC members this is one of the best museums that participates in the program. The Museum allows outside food and drinks. There is a STARBUCKS as well. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. There are new exhibits in the works that look like they will be epic. Just about everything is hands on. Even as an adult I had a whole heap of fun! I absolutely recommend going to this museum!
Bill Pichon
First time visiting! Great indoor experiences, mostly for kids, but fun for everyone! Very clean throughout, including the restrooms.
Will visit again
Ruby Red Luv
Had a great time! Children loved it and the souvenir shop was awesome!
A place of discovery and learning from the past!
Aviation section and railroad were very interesting.
Tabatha Gray
Friendly staff, so many AMAZING things to learn and see and do - I enjoyed this just as much as my 7 year old. Has a little history snuck in there too, and they really make it come ALIVE. The planetarium was a great experience. This was worth every penny and more.
Madilyn RaffHauser
Came to OKC for spring break, this was the BEST, this is the BANG for the BUCK, so much fun for the whole family, I would literally travel 4 hours again just to come back! You could spend the whole day here open to close!
Michael Day
Walked out with 2 adults and 2 children over 12 and 1 3year old, plus gift shop. 123.00$.
Over all fun alot to do. Kids lov ed it. Crowded
Audrey Schmook
Fun place for kids! Other science museums/centers tend to be very content-heavy (which is great for adults), but this has a lot of hands-on activities. Took my 3-year-old who had a blast. Has nursing rooms throughout. Pleasantly surprised that the cafeteria had several vegetarian options and even a vegan salad.
Krystal Thompson
Spent almost the whole day here and still feel like we missed something. This science museum definitely holds up to others we have been to. Lots of different sections to discover is many different ways and of course plenty of hands on fun. This place even had a snack counter and Starbucks coffee, didn't check out prices but good so you don't have to leave. Also this museum is apart of the ASTC list for members!
Neal Parden
Great science museum for the whole family, however it really shines for children. So much hands on where most science museums have more reading based learning. This is way better, there get to touch and do.
Christina Vicedomini
This place is SO awesome. I have 9 year olds and 2 year olds and they both enjoyed it equally. We did the planetarium and it was so amazing too. We easily spent a few hours. Its so big. But there's so much to explore. Definitely recommend!
Angela Muir
This is such an awesome place!! We visited friends in OKC and visited the museum with our 8, 7 & 3 year old, they all had so much fun! We were there for 3 hours and could have stayed longer. Lots of fun exhibits for kids of all ages. Several areas to run and play as well as science hands on exhibits. My kids loved riding a Segway, playing in the olympics area and doing circus things in that exhibit. If we lived in OKC we would for sure buy a season pass.
Aubrey Behrends
Wow we could have spent all day here. So much to see & do. Live shows hands on science activities and more. There is a restaurant on site. Divided into multiple sections. We didn't even make it upstairs. Located right next to the Zoo you can park at one & walk to the other. There are some activities that have additional fees.
Leesa Laurie
Getting a membership to this science museum while living in Oklahoma was the best decision ever! We've stayed here for hours because there is just so much to do. The children learn and play all in one place. We've been to two other science museum's and this is the best one we've had the pleasure of experiencing. It is also the reason we plan to visit as many science museum's near us during our travels.
phoenix Cardwell
Great day, very hands on. My favorite will always be the Planetarium the show is great. I was very suprised how amused even the adults where in the children's section, and how many things you can do as a group. We had such a blast we weren't able to see/do everything so for sure we are going back.
Amy Looney {CHAOTIC SACRIFICE}
We absolutely loved everything. We have so much more to explore! We will be back!!! Also I think the prices are a little too high!
Patrick Godfrey
So much to do here. My 5 YO son spent over an hour just in the first little exhibit. This place is amazing. And the food is impressive, beautiful personal pizzas for very reasonable prices (compared to most underwhelming and overpriced museum fare).
Teresa Brown
Spent a Saturday with our grandson here and it was a great time! We were able to watch the science explosion show and it was so good! He had a great time at the Segway parkway and the Curiocity, and so many more of the exhibits and adventure areas! Make sure that you wear comfortable shoes and clothes because it is very interactive and you will leave tired! We had so much fun and learned a lot too! While it was very busy it seemed to flow well and we were able to do everything that we wanted to do. Would highly recommend and will bring him back again! Love this place!!
Jamin Hughes
An amazing place for kids to learn and play! And you could spend a full day here and not see half the museum. Perfect excuse to get an annual membership!
I enjoyed coming here when I was a kid, but it is 1,000 times better. Great place for kids of all ages!
WMW
I had not been to the Science Museum for several years but returned with my sister and five grandchildren in tow. Ages 13, 11, 10, 5 and 6. The three older children girls and the two younger boys. What a surprise for this grandpa! The Museum had been completely updated and significantly expanded since my last trip. We had planned to only spend two or three hours but ended up spending the whole day and wishing we had more time. It is packed with hands on activities for all ages. Most of them have a learning component if you can get the kids to slow down long enough to appreciate that part. The Museum is well staffed so help is always available if there are questions and we found the staff to be very pleasant and knowledgeable. The exhibits are so well designed and robust that I don't remember hearing a staff person ask a youngster to ''be more careful" or "please don't do that" all day long. And there were a lot of very active boys and girls in the museum that day. There are activities for just about any age from toddlers to teens with perhaps the prime ages for the Museum being 8-12. But it is great for all ages. Even an old granddad. A great place for all ages.
Roamin' Rich
It was pretty cool. There's plenty to see. We all wished there was more descriptive instructions or descriptions on a lot of the exhibits. Much of what you see there isn't labeled at all. It made it frustrating.
Nicole Chilton
Enjoyed a great day with the whole family so much to do. We loved all the hands on activities. Our favorite was the planetarium show, the live shows are a must see.
Rory Barrett
Little guy had lots of fun, but the area for kids under 3yrs was closed. Wish they would have had a sign at the entrance about it.
Lots of things to do, bring a towl for the water play area + 2$ for the big dryer (only takes credit/debit. NO CASH)
They also have a starbucks!
Amanda Bell
Great place to visit with kids of ALL ages!!!
B.T.D
By far the best Mueseum I have been to. Highly recommend !
Robbie Mowles
Science Museum has so many different hands on things for kids to do. My grandchildren love coming here. Which made buying a silver membership worth it.
Jenica Russell
This place is AMAZING!! 7 hours of fun for my boys (ages 10 & 8). So much to do and learn. A definite must do.
T
Lots of fun for the kids! Ages 11 & 8. Definitely need plenty of time here, spent 4 hours and didn't get to see/do everything. Drove almost 3 hours to visit, definitely wanna go back! On a side note, they have awesome nursing rooms!
Mike Pavay (Masterknowitall)
It was fun for adults and kids. Great place for kids to learn new things. 3 hours and couldn't see it all. We're going back👍 …
Danielle Layman
Full of games, activities, and educational fun. Live science shows. Military discount for single admission and you can credit the value towards membership. $175 for the whole family for the full year. Worth it!
Xavier Lawson
Great experience and fun place to bring your family.. I loved every min ..I will be back
Gina Hollander
There are lots of activities for all ages! Some things are still around from years ago when I was a child, but there have been pretty extensive renovations over the years that created some great large play places and exploration for children. We hadn't been in 2 years since Covid and I was pleasantly surprised at how great the exhibitions are.
Don’t Ask
I only went to the tinkering fest so I didn’t go inside. Everyone was really nice and it was a ton of fun. I’d love to go again!
Nikki Pollock
A Great time for the whole family! We tend to get the silver two memberships yearly, children two and under are free. Well worth the money, We can come every day for an entire year if we wanted. New exhibits, Playgrounds, and so much more. A café that has a great breakfast and lunch menu, & a Starbucks “you also get a discount with your membership.” There’s so much you can do with the whole family. You’re sure to have a blast every time you visit. Highly recommend this business. Giving it a full 5 stars, I will continue to come back for many years to come. Thank you for your business -Victoria Pollock

This is always a fun place to bring kids of all ages to explore. There is a lot to do. The Science Live show is a fun experience for all ages though if your little ones are sensitive to loud noises, there may be some parts they aren't fans of though you are able to exit at any time. With two floors, there are more than enough things to do and see. There are a few sections that are designed to help burn off excess energy.
Aly M
SO MUCH TO DO.
My son is 5 and had an absolute blast. We spent 5 hours there and only covered the bottom floor, we had to skip most of the top floor because they were closing. Amazing live shows with plenty of jokes so the adults can enjoy too. The planetarium was beautiful. It was definitely money well spent.
We even came home with a science kit to continue the adventure at home 😊
Daryl Briggs
This place has the absolute best "hands-on" learning exhibits you can find anywhere in the state, and it starts before you even get in the front door.
Thomas B
This place is huge. Spent at least 2.5 hrs here, could’ve easily spent more. Lots of different activities for kids of different ages. The food at the little restaurant was actually regular priced and good tasting as well. I highly recommend to anyone visiting with kids
Joshua Chester
The exhibits and planetarium are amazing. They also have a color vision exhibit up with colorblind correcting lenses available to try.
The food is also phenomenal. They have gluten free pizza and burgers available, but the pizza... I wish I could get it anywhere else, because it is almost worth a trip and admission itself.
Kelsi Georgia
I lové thé science muséum but I was a very disappointed as a new mom that the crawlers area has been taken out. I was watching other moms struggle on what to do with their babies less than one but could crawl. It’s hard to carry 20 lbs for an hour. As a family place I believe that crawlers space should be brought back.
Diana Dacy
Awesome experience for kids and adults of all ages.
Shows are fantastic and entertaining, keeps everyone engaged.
The displays are hugely interactive and offer a variety of fun learning experiences.
Miguel Martinez
We had fun here. Everything was working. There was so much to see and do.
Charles Childers
It's crazy how much has changed since the 80's
Jessica Elmore
It's always fun coming here and learning about so many things. The Sherlock Holmes exhibit was fantastic, thrilling and definitely puts you inner sleuth to work.
Katie Moothart
We had such a great time at the Science Museum. I totally recommend. My big kids even enjoyed themselves. Definitely fun for any age.
Jim Bidlack
Very fun place - Science Museum Oklahoma. Space exhibits especially great. We always have lots of fun! Yay!!
Victoria Velez
So fun! Kids loved it and they have a huge area for kids to play. The boys favorite part is the splash zone, make sure you bring extra clothes cause they will get wet!
Jessica Ax
We had a great time exploring the Science Museum. We spent about 2 hours visiting but could have easily spent all day. My preschool and grade school aged children loved the jungle gym, the giant pin wall, the tree house, and just about everything else! We only left because my child was injured by another child, otherwise we had an awesome time!
brandon cole
This place has something for everyone. As a family we can spend the whole day here without getting bored. I highly recommend buying a membership if you plan to visit more than once instead of purchasing a day pass. It pays for itself down the road.
Aisha Martinez
We love the Science museum! It's fun for ALL ages. We took 2 toddlers and they had a blast! So did we (we probably had way more fun in the kid section than they did, lol) I'd recommend it to everyone. I'm so glad we got a family pass because paying like $16 every time we go would add up to A LOT! Other than the cost of going regularly, there's loads of things to do. We went for 5 hours and I'm sure we didn't get to see or experiment with everything.
Gary Metcalfe
It was a great visit my girls loved it.I really enjoyed as well. There endless things to look at and do there
DaLecia Tibbett
SO MUCH FUN! The museum is ever evolving! Seems like they are constantly improving. Exhibits change often so most every trip to the museum will be a new experience in some way. You’ll never be bored. Even with no crowds, it’s impossible to explore the entire thing in one day. 10/10 would recommend. PERFECT FOR THE COLD WINTER WEEKDAYS
OH! Not to mention, their cafe offers food made fresh to order! My southwest salad had fresh jalapeños, fresh corn, and house made dressing. I was expected a pre-packaged salad but was pleasantly surprised. They have a variety of GF options as well including Gluten Free Pizza. Overall impressed with their food.
Andrew Church
Massive science museum with a wide variety of science activities. Big hangar in the back with planes and drones. Very clean. Different stage shows and planetarium shows all day.
Scott Batchelor
Ive been to numerous science museums and this is the best one ive been to by far. There is enough to do to last all day. The kids never want to leave.
Drew Noecker
The Science Museum is great, and it’s a perfect place to go when it’s too hot to be outside in Oklahoma. They have many hands-on exhibits for kids, including a great area of musical instruments from every day items, and an area for building race tracks and ramps.
The snack bar and the grill, which is just down from the snack bar, are good for grabbing something to drink or munch on.
Also, given the different membership options available, I would strongly consider a membership if you can make it more than once - especially if you have a kid or kids to bring back.
Hope Bailey
Real cool. Fun. Interesting.
MARY CANTU
Good variety of stuff, lots of running space, creative exhibits. We will go back!
James Lake
I highly recommend going to any of their adult-only events like Halloween so you can actually enjoy the exhibits without the screaming kids.
Abhay Chavan
Once in a while they open it for free. Its good place to go but not as good as they charge. Kids enjoy a lot...keep min 3-4 hrs if you plan to go with kids. If you have only 1 kid plan to go there with friends with kids.
Sherri Bruce
My grand twins birthday and first time there. So much fun was had by all. The staff are friendly and helpful!
Jose Dominguez
Kids will have a great time, adults a lesser time but still enjoyable. Don't miss the planetarium show!
MD Robiul Awal Bhuiyan
Good place for kids and family. You can spend 3-4 hours to do the whole tour. They have some show too
Muscle Bound Movers
The kids love this place because it captures their imagination.
Felicia Long
I haven't been here in over twenty years. I was so excited to go back. It's an amazing place. Definitely will be back.
Vicarieyes Orator
Amazing museum lots of awesome things to tinker with and see! Definitely a great way to spend a day :)
Samantha Jasper
There's something for everyone here, great for all ages, learning is happening even when kids think they're just playing. Staff was wonderful, friendly, and helpful.
Food that is sold in the food court is incredibly overprived, be sure to eat before you go, or budget at least $10/person.
Brandt Bacha
This is a great place for the whole family. Everyone will be challenged with their knowledge of our universe at this science complex. Located right next to the Zoo this place is pack full of adventure for the entire week. This duo really made my trip to OKC a real pleasure. The food needs to be updated from the Stone Age. (Pizza, burger, chicken fingers) yikes. Bring your own lunch!
Lauren Rusnak
Seriously had the most fun here! My kids loved it and they have a foot court + Starbucks!
Ganbayar Gansukh (Ganba)
Great place to visit and enjoy science. Staffs are knowledgable and resourceful.
We always have an annual membership to visit and enjoy.
Elizabeth Christiansen
It was great lots to do for all ages their were two play spaces with slides and climbing structures. And many other interactive exhibits you definitely spend the whole day there. Our only was my 5 year old grand son didn't want to leave even though we examined that it was closing.
Ryan Davis
By far one of the best Science Museums I've been to. The Fire show we had was very well done.
Fighting Forty
Came in from Houston to visit family and wanted to bring out 2 year old here as we wanted something to do and I remember how fun it was when I was a kid. The place is huge and a tons to do. It took it’s about 4 hours to walk through all the exhibit and we kept happily saying there’s mores?!? They had a couple cafés inside of facility that were reasonably priced with a wide selection of food. Bathrooms were extremely clean as well as a facility. Highly recommend it
Cary Slagh
Went this week and I wish we knew that the biggest part of the fun was closed. Can’t remember but seems like they are charging the same ticket price but you aren’t getting to play in the main area. The kids can touch and be right next to each other everywhere else but not on this! Seems dumb. It should say online that this area is closed. It’s the whole reason our girls wanted to go.
Jill House
On our most recent road trip, we decided to spend a day in Oklahoma City and visit the science center per a friend’s recommendation. If you have memberships to other science centers be sure to ask for the reciprocal price (ours was free for 2 adults and 2 kids). Even though I had only one adult and three kids, the guy at the front counter still make me purchase a kid’s ticket. Doesn’t make much sense, but ok. We paid $15 for a full day of activities.
Most of the upstairs was under construction so we didn’t get to see a lot.
Pros: the planetarium and science experiment shows are free with admission. The restrooms were clean as was the rest of the facility and about all of the exhibits seemed to be in decent working condition.
I also liked the fact we could leave to eat lunch in the car and go back inside. We just got a stamp on our hand to come back in.
Fun place to stop. Some exhibits we have seen at other science centers. Some are ones we haven’t experienced. Overall, it kept my kids busy for the full 8 hours. They’re worn out and ready to travel.
laci walker
We love the science center in OKC, we go every time we’re in town, but this trip was different. I didn’t think we could love this place more than we already did but they went above and beyond this time! My 5 year old has a hard time with certain sound frequencies and we were trying to get him out of a particularly loud area when a staff member noticed how upset he was. She came up and informed us that they offer sensory kits at the front desk, we were able to get him some ear muffs and he got to enjoy the space ship and the other areas we had previously skipped. 10/10 recommend
Arthur L Attocknie
The place is really great to bring a family and enjoy lots of interesting exhibits and displays. The museum houses a lot of different museums as well as different areas for other topics and subjects. Myself I really enjoyed the aviation and train areas that had lots of historic items. The cool thing this place is that is also ties in how Oklahoma is connected to all the different topics. There is a food court type place that has a couple of different options. They serve Starbucks coffee. And the staff keep everything clean even when they are busy. Really great to see that during my visit.
Andrea Spivey
This is a large museum, so plan to spend some time here! My kids loved the play areas (the Kid Space play area is completely enclosed so that they can run free without parents worrying!). We only saw some of the first floor, but we enjoyed ourselves.
Shallie Hord
Excellent place for all ages. Huge museum, tons of activities for all to do and interact with. Very clean
Mitch Rogers
Little pricey.. but worth it. Took about 6 hours to go through it all. And the explosion shows are great went to all three
Pat Headroom
Great place to take the kids. But best exhibit is the nursing room.
Joan Tallroth
Beautifully designed! So much to see and do. Wide variety of displays for all ages.
William Kinney
First time going and with kids of all ages well worth it. 4hrs later and still didnt see it all. We went for a Birthday and it was easy/grrat/simple and then we released the kids and followed through everything. And now they sleep.. awesome.
Carlie
I love it every time we go. They are adding/changing something constantly so it's nice that it's always fresh, but I do wish some things were a little cleaner. (I do understand thousands of kid hands a day are hard to clean up after!) There are two nursing/feeding lounges, and one is pretty modern while the other is very dated. But still it's nice to have a quiet place to nurse. They also have changing tables in the men's room, for those of you wondering. The museum portion with airplanes feels out of place to me, and never seems very busy, but I assume they have it thanks to a donor or something.
Lee Saint
Lots of fun, the new sherlock Holmes exhibit is interesting and keeps you busy.
Bertilde Bitseedy
This place is always fun for kids who love doing things on hand. Great place for kids and adults to learn about science!
Fabiola Delgadillo
Such a fun place for kids. Interesting for adults as well. Totally worth it.
Jordan DuVall
Me and my wife decided to take a little day trip to OKC as we're from Tulsa. The museum was an absolute blast. And for only around $19 a person it was more than worth its price of admission. There are so many fun things to do at this museum. We were there for 3 hours and still only did about 70% of it. We're both in our 30s and had an amazing time. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back once our baby boy is here and old enough to go.
Sarena Shippy
Interactive. entertaining and educational. Great place for children and your inner child as well.
Louis Coronado
Pretty busy, but lots of activities for kids, and even parents to do.
It's just me Just me
Really a great place, lots of fun for all ages
Monique Daniels
Had a school wide event and it was fabulous! Families from Millwood Public Schools had a wonderful evening. The staff were AMAZING and the "Teachers Lounge" was the best! Thank you for being an establishment for the community.
christa nicole
Extremely crowded due to a few schools being there, so we didn't get to do/see everything but it was still a good time
Tiffany Lilley
It was a great place to spend time with the family! As much as we love the zoo, this place has air conditioning! 😂 They are constantly adding exhibits so you don't have to worry about you or the kiddos getting bored. Get there early and spend the day learning AND having fun! …
Jay Rufus
We spent the entire day there and would do it again in a heartbeat! Freaking awesome place, and great for all ages!
Darlene KITTLER
My daughter is autistic, she LOVES this place!! For her birthday got a year membership. She loves to take her picture with the scientists. Einstein was also autistic. This place is so inspiring to her, she enjoys the hands on exhibits, and the fact, it also has quiet places, she can go to, when she starts getting overwhelmed. Highly recommend this place to other autistic parents!
Axel
Amazing stuff here, everything was absolutely amazing. Learned lots of new things, and had an absolute blast.
Anonymous Review
Absolutely loved this place for our whole family. Easily spent 4 hours here, and there was never a dull moment.
Rachelle Underwood
The kids love visits to the science museum!. Always clean and the staff are great!.
MARTA LEE
Kids love all the hands on exhibits. Fun way to teach young minds.
Genaro Blake
Very cool place for the science enthusiast. My favorite exhibit is the rocket engines. Engineering bliss.
Dirtbag Jones
An incredible visit as always. The staff is amazing, i love that they really listen to the children and communicate with them when they ask questions. The whole place is constantly being cleaned and it smells like a delightful disinfectant, the sanitation department is really on top of it. We are really excited to come back next week. The yearly access pass is so worth it!
Keith Rapson
Fantastic location for kids to learn all kinds of things. I went here several times when I was a kid, back when it was known as the Omniplex, but I guess the current generation of kids can relate to the current name if "The Science Museum" a little better. Staff is friendly, place is well taken care of and maintained. Restrooms are clean and well stocked, lunch room was clean with janitors on standby.
Tracy Marsac
My child had a great time! Nearly every exhibit is interactive and kept him highly entertained. An employee was at every station if we had any questions which was very much appreciated!
matt schutz
Out of all the museum's we have visited, this one is by far our favorite. It has so many interactive exhibits for both children and adults. I enjoyed the brain puzzle section and even got my brain working trying to solve them. Our visit was over 4 and a half hours and my 11year old and his 12 year old friend never complained once or asked to leave. They were entertained and enjoyed the exhibits. Love how there are so many on hand activities and even 2 huge playgrounds to keep them entertained. We enjoyed the shows as well. Our baby even had a blast crawling around. If I had one complaint, it would be the price of admission, other than that outstanding experience and can't wait to visit again.
N P
Interesting place, on the pricey side but all and all it was worth it. My family of five visited during a vacation trip, kids enjoyed the planetarium. I enjoyed the NASA exhibits. There is a lot of hands on stuff to do and a couple big play areas for the kids to burn off some energy indoors. There are some activities that have sand and water for younger children so bring an extra shirt in case they get too wet! I think it’s a one and done type of place but many of the locals have memberships and treat it like an indoor park for the kids visiting often.
Amanda Hubbard
We had an outstanding experience at the Science Museum. There was so much to explore and do, that we did not get through everything in the three hours we were there. There was something for everyone in our party ranging from 2-15 plus adults. Will definitely be going back!
Joyful Image Photography
We just love this place. Easily can spend 4+ hours here with my 6,6 and 4 year old. It's enjoyable for adults and older kids as well. Plan to spend the day if you're coming. We take a break around lunch and go to Sonic which is close by and has an outdoor play area. Very convenient. Haven't gotten to watch a show yet because there is so much for the kids to do. I bring a rope so my kids can hold on when we go from one area to the next. It gets very crowded on the weekend. If you get there early you can beat the crowds and get on the Segway. The membership is totally worth it. $145 which is the same as two visits for our family of 4. And we can visit the other museums in the network as well as many times as we want. Such a good value.
Jubal Lindsey
Fun for all!
If you want to truly experience everything this science museum offers, I recommend planning an all day visit.
This two story science museum is packed full of fun things to do for all, from toddlers to adults. Hands on experiments, tinkering, and play areas are around every corner.
Bring snacks and water, because the food and drinks are pricey. But if you need a little pick me up, there’s also a Starbucks to get a little caffeine kick.
Give the Science Museum Oklahoma a visit. You won’t regret it!
Kate Kang
Kids love here a lot. We spent all day from 10 to 5 in here.
Debbie Morris
Such a fun experience! This is great for all ages. My grandson enjoyed from a stroller the first hour along with his parents and aunt. Later we let him out to explore some play things for his age and experience.
Kaahl Lawrence
Fantastic experience. There's plenty of fun and interactive activities to teach you all sorts of things. Great for kids and adults.
Brad Thompson
Great science museum. A full days worth of adventure for kids of all ages.
satish Neupane
No words how good is this pace. Learning and fun for the kid and even whole family.
Michelle Harrison
This is such a fun and engaging museum for children. There is so much to do and interact with, my kids have yet to see the whole place after 3 visits. It keeps them entertained which exhausts them enough for bedtime. We love the shows, the food is decent and actually priced realistically. We love going here.
S R Franklin
We planned to stay all day, but the number of unruly children pushed us out after about two hours. The museum is highly interactive, which we liked a lot, but getting to do an activity was frustrating. For the high price we paid I expected more. I do not recommend the museum to teens+. It's just for younger children.
Gerry Davison
What a lot of fun .. kids had a blast and a reasonable amount to interest an adult too.
S H
It was so much fun. Great for kids and adults. Lots of hands on learning.
David Cisneros
Awesome place to visit with a combination of activities for kids young and old! New stuff and old favorites, always a blast!
Sparty Green
Very fun place for kids and adults! Best science museum I've seen in decades. We will be back.
Jennifer Bhatt
I grew up in the neighbor across the street. And I went to the school down the street. In the 90s if felt like I was there once every other. So I was bored of it. I even went in 2012I and it was boring we saw everything in an hour. Well now I am shock by how big it is. There was so much to do. My family had fun. Now I have to be a negative Nancy….. for the entry to be so expensive there was quite a few things we tried that were not working and a few closed exhibits. But there is still so much to do, we went on a Sunday at 1 and they close at 6. We stayed until 5 and there was still somethings we didn’t get around too. I would be back!
Lyn S
Wow. All I can say is, it's worth your money and time. But a membership. Fun for all ages of kids and adults.
poltergejst
i wish they had more newer exhibits. it was disappointing to see the older exhibits were glitchy , very worn down, or just not working. most of the things were out of order. plaques were super worn from touch etc. the virus animal room thing was overall glitchy and the screens weren’t responsive. at least 4 exhibits were out of order, and there’s only that much you can do. and i’m kinda disappointed that the gift shop is so…. boring. nothing really that cool. you don’t have to sell crazy stuff, it’s just all kinda. meh.
Justin M
So fun! Awesome exhibits, and the Live Science show is a must!
Mike F
Wow there was so much to do at this museum. At first, I was discouraged by what it cost 1 adult and 2 kids to get in but once we started interacting with all the different activities that were offered, I quickly forgot about the entrance fees. We were there for 4 hours and could of easily stayed another 2, if it wasn't for the 2 hours ride home. There is a snack bar, gift shop and way to many amazing exhibits to mention. The facility was clean and many hand sanitizing and wipes stationed throughout the facility. We will go back for more fun.
Aly K
Disappointed on their policy for the network membership. Granted it doesn't matter now since they've changed how the network museums work....We were NEVER told at only the OKC Science Museum that only five people are allowed on the pass . I've never had a year membership where I had to pay on top of an already expensive membership.
Rayven Goodman
This amazing place isn't just for kids, if it was it would be called a children's museum. There are plenty of things to do as an adult as well! Adults are encouraged to take part of every exhibit! Including CurioCity. Couples of all ages should come here for a fun date! Sure it's a bit pricey, but the museum is not funded by the government and is a private organization that is open because of generous donations and members that keep this museum alive! The food is okay, the chicken tenders are the best, and they have a Starbucks where you can get your daily dose of caffeine. The facility is so large that you might not even see everything the first time! Plus the fact that exhibits change so often gives it a good reason to keep going back!
Spencer Moore
I hadn't been here since I was a kid in well over 15 years. This place has changed so much and in a great way. There's still things from my childhood that I remember like the giant mouth with the video game and the shadow photo wall, but there's so much more now. The planetarium was awesome and super informative. The science live show was spectacular and fun. It's all super interactive and my kiddo had a blast. I can't wait to see what other things they will be able to do in the future.
Rebecca Gerhardt
Fun was had by everyone in our group (3 adults, 1 child, 1 two year old). We go every time we're in OKC, and there's always something new and exciting.
Chelsea Medlock
The OKC Science Museum is a fantastic place for children and adults alike. My children and I come at least once a month if not more to see the exhibits and play on the equipment. Our favorite is the Odd and See Tower. I highly recommend the museum to everyone.
Kristen Bell
Great place for all ages. I had a blast and I'm 29!! 😂 …
Matthew Schipper
Its so fun it takes a hands on approach to science and makes it interesting and very fun to learn physics wether gravity ect i cant stay in there long enough my only problem is the price its a bit much even before inflation
Scott Grundmann
Amazing experience for children and adults alike. My 6, 7, and 8 year old felt that the 3 and 1/2 hour trip from Dallas was worthwhile. Live Science shows provided them with an opportunity to experience the shock waves from a hydrogen bomb balloon explosion. Hands-On science experiments ranging from sound, motion, electricity, weather and tornadoes, space, engineering, geology and technology, all the way to puppet shows to a children's theater to a tinkering garage for creating gadgets and the list goes on. Our five-hour-long visit wasn't nearly enough to see everything that this two-story museum had to offer, including planetarium shows that run every hour on the hour. Probably worth getting a membership here if close to home.
Matt Luttrell
It gets better every trip. We discover something new each time. This time it was dinosaurs. The annual pass is worth it.
Frank Atchley
Pretty fun. I always loved going here when I was a boy, and my two little guys had a blast. Price was a bit steep but I'm considering joining as a member and making it a regular weekend activity since there's so much to do there. Some of the exhibits are still there from when I was a kid. Update: we joined and have gone almost every weekend so far since and it's well worth it! And the cafe is a pretty good deal for what you get. ☺
Joseph Levine
The Science Museum is an Oklahoma staple that's fun for kids and adults. Ironically they still have displays from the 90s I remember, like the teeth exhibit.
I took my 2yr old and they have a specific area for little kids to roam and they had a blast.
The staff is always walking around cleaning and even during covid times did not feel disgusting.
You can spend an entire day on exhibits and live science shows.
Issac Floyd
It's always fun here. My kids from 3yo to teenagers always have fun. I wish they would bring back the optical illusion from... but still fun
Alyssa Whalin
We almost didn’t stop here, but decided to make our trip a few hours longer so we could go, and wow we’re happy we did!! Our 2 year old had an absolute blast!! So much to do we could’ve spent the entire day. We can’t wait to go back and take some friends!!
Jackie Chapmond
We had a lot of fun today 🥳 it was amazing!! …
Jorje Axline
We love the SMO! First time into the planetarium - loved it, too. The staff in the entire building is fantastic!
X P
Everything is slowly wearing out and tools are missing, exhibits aren't working like they're supposed to. The aquarium is just sad. It feels like the museum is slowly slipping back into the years before they recieved the grant and the cost went up. I will say the planetarium shows are much better now.
Jericah Hedberg
This was the coolest place we've ever taken our children. There is so much to do for every age. We will absolutely be back!
Aliaksei Audonin
Absolutely the best Science Museum I've ever been to. It's huge, very well maintained, tons of fun. My whole family enjoyed this place.
Jackie Young
Pretty cool place!!! Except the fish.....the aquarium is open on top and kids were poking the fish. Poor lil fellas.
Otherwise really cool! We loved the sideways room, earthquake house and massive wood playground.
Nathan Clark
Overall, the science museum is a lot of fun for the kids. They enjoy getting hands on and learning about all the different things here. Many activities, displays, and shows covering all areas of science. I do seem to remember the upstairs being more fully developed previously - one portion looks like a catch all for things that didn't have a home anywhere else, or like they were just trying to fill empty space. But, there is plenty more to explore here throughout the rest of the museum!
If your are in the area and enjoy the first visit, consider the annual membership. Your admission that day can count toward the membership, and you will exceed its value within a couple of visits.
Jordan Brown
highly recommend for older children. my kids and i only did about 50% of it in 4hrs. this has to be an all day thing for sure. so much fun and a lot of cool things to do.
Rob Mason
Birthday party kids had a blast so did adults
Susie Hartsog
Best kids' museum I've ever been to! Just moved here from NC and I'm definitely getting a membership. My kids are 2, 2, & 1.
Hannah McAfee
Throughly enjoyed it! We were there around 4 1/2 and still didn’t see everything. A good variety for all ages and very clean. Both the liquid nitrogen and planetarium shows are worth stopping by. However the missing stars is for the Sherlock Holmes exhibit. It is $10 per adult and we walked right through it. There were no instructions to explain what we were suppose to be doing despite there being 4 employees at the front. Looking around we weren’t the only couple that was lost! Stick to regular admission!
Leslie Wade
Fantastic hands on museums for all ages. Following all covid 19 safety precautions as possible. Lots of sanitation stations.
Juan Manuel Marquez
Great hands on learning activities for all ages.
Janice Trent
Took grandkids ages 7 and 5. They had an absolute blast! We live 130 miles away and it was totally worth it. Will be back for sure and stay longer
Jessie M
So much to do! A learning experience at every turn. Cannot recommend enough!
Richard goldCrew Stull
Great place. Lots of things for kids and adults.
Sarah Birkenholz
I have always loved this place growing up, so when I went back as an adult in my 20’s my expectations weren’t as high. However, it was still so much fun and so interactive! I really enjoyed going even if it was just with friends! I would definitely recommend this place for people with kids or just anyone who is a kid at heart!
Allison Landesco
My son and I actually love going a couple of times a week for a fun getaway! Super friendly staff too! My only complaint is a lot of exhibits never seem to be working and we’ve been coming well over a few years. Other than the lack of maintenance, it’s a wonderful experience.
Janie Gleason
We all loved it!! 4 kids and 3 adults!! Great place!!
cristina maderia
If I could I would give this place more star!!!
My kids and husband enjoy this place. A must if you are in OKC.
We had a bad day weather while on our trip and this place kept my kids entertained and busy for 5 hours! Totally worth every penny!
Giancarlo Gacad
Great range of exhibits, good safety practices, kept my 4-year old engaged for over four hours. We went on a Saturday afternoon and felt safe spending our time there. Highly recommend for young kiddos.
Naomi N
My boyfriend wanted to show me this place for awhile. It was kind of fun to explore and interact with the exhibits.
The exhibits are a good mix of kid-friendly/fun for everyone.
My favorite part was the 12PM show in the planetarium. It's in a circular room with a dome ceiling, and there's a projection of space on the ceiling. The lady running the show basically set it up like we were flying off into space, and our "ship" was going out to observe local planets. She took suggestions from the audience for which planets to check out, I thought that was cool. Had all sorts of interesting facts about where we "went", like why Pluto is considered a dwarf planet, or that Mercury isn't actually that hot despite being the closest to the Sun.
My only gripe is that a few of the exhibits could be improved.
For example, there's one where you spin a crank to generate electricity, and that lights up either LED or Incandescent bulbs to show the difference in how much electricity they need. The first 10 or so incandescents are broken, they didn't light, but I did see 4 in a row higher up that did light. So I think that one just needs to be fixed.
There's also this one that gives an example of terminal velocity by dropping a plastic marble from high up onto this metal platform. There's a hole in the middle that the marble eventually rolls into, then rolls to a tube, from there you have to pump air into the tube to get the marble all the way up for it to drop. You have to pump it very fast, and need some strength to do it long enough to get it up there.
I saw one kid pump it once, get bored, and walk away. And my boyfriend had to pump the marble up the tube for me because I wasn't strong enough.
It would be more accommodating if the process of getting it up there were easier, like a vacuum suction. Could incorporate something like that as another thing for kids to learn about there, too.
There's another thing that just tests your reaction time, you press a button to start, wait, then press again as soon as a light turns on, and it times you on how quickly you react. However, the light is kind of weird, it slowly lights up. I reacted more to the timer starting instead of the light coming on because it starts of dim, you can't really tell it's on at first. The lights on the reaction game should be replaced by ones that turn on more instantaneously, for a more true reaction time.
It's a fun place for kids and for anyone who's a kid at heart, but it has plenty of room for improvement.
Amy Barrientoz
Price is well worth it. We had a fantastic day!
Sarah Harris
My kids loved it. Will def be back! Lots of entertainment and fun things to do. We spent almost 3 hours in here.
frankie mckinley
Great! Such a fun place to take your kids!
Chris
Soooo much fun! I've been to many science museums and and this one was one of the best ones I've been to in many years. Very helpful staff. Fun shows with experiments and a lot of things to do.
Fallyn Sims
We had a blast! We will for sure go back when it's not so busy.
AortaPlatinum
I see a lot of reviews saying this is aimed more at kids, but I highly disagree. There's a great mix of stuff that would appeal to kids, and stuff my gf (20) and I (21) both loved. Everything was reasonably priced, free refills on drinks even if you don't buy the fancy collectable plastic cup, only one exhibit that cost extra to get into, it's all fantastic value for your money. There's so much to do, we spent about 5 hours there. Longer than we spent at Frontier City. It's possible I'm a bit nostalgia blind since I visited here all the time as a kid, but it's changed and evolved so much that I only got that nostalgia feel when seeing the kid's play area near where the old entrance was, and the dental exhibit area.
Only two issues with this awesome place- first is that, of the hundreds of exhibits we checked out, I'd say about 5-7% of them straight up didn't work. Most of it was the older stuff, starting with the model train setup didn't leave us with a great first impression, but the Elemental Worlds exhibit where you can draw on a 3D model of an animal in real-time also had issues, the touch screen was hot and the entire simulation ran at like 10fps. My other gripe is how much everything clashes. Place has been around since like the 70s and it definitely shows. Outside walls are fantastically 80s, connected to a modern awning. Entire areas feel like they haven't been touched since opening, right next to brand new experiences. It's really cool that all the old stuff is still there, it's just a bit jarring to go from an Atari 2600 style tooth-cleaning video game to a Segway course 10 feet away.
Overall, this is a fantastic way to spend an afternoon, probably gonna go back once all the exhibits are able to open again, since there were a couple shut down due to how much stuff-touching they involved and how frequently they'd need to be cleaned.
Ramesh Kaipa
A beautiful facility for young minds. Definitely worth a visit.
Jason Kramer
So many things for the whole family! My two children had a blast and wanted to move in at the end of the day. We will certainly visit every time we come back to OKC.
Aleh Bobr
One of the best places for children in the country. It has activities for all ages. We stopped while driving through OKC and were pleasantly surprised!!!
Daniel McCarrin
Wonderful science museum that is ever expanding. Definitely geared to children under 10 but still a fun little adventure of learning and discovery for the family.
Kristen Moore
Whimsy meets scientific discovery at the OKC Science Museum! I am always amazed by the imagination that went in to many of the exhibits here. Adults and children alike are challenged to think about the “hows” and “whys” behind many of the exhibits, while playing and having fun. There is so much to do and learn! The live shows are fantastic- both informative and entertaining. Everything is well done, and very clean. I am particularly impressed but the two nursing rooms as well! There were several changing stations, comfortable chairs, lots of space, and even a few toys for nursing mothers and their babies. There is a little something for everyone here. Highly recommend!
Ron Fischer
My 3 and 7 year old grandsons found lots of things to get excited about and had a great time there. Specially with the interactive exhibits. Our 7 year old loved the frozen nitrogen show with the loud explosion at the end!
gm_diesel _master_tech
Excellent place for kids and adults alike. So much to do. It is a lot for even a few hours. A couple of 3-4 hour days and you might get to see and do half of the activities.
Hunter Hyde
Really cool place with a lot to do. My only reason for not putting 5 stars is that it's super kid oriented. It would be cool if they had an adult zone and adult stuff to do without the kids.
Brad Underwood
Our company, Voyage LTC, had our awards banquet here last Friday. I can’t express enough how helpful, kind, accommodating, and awesome the staff was. They went out of their way to make sure our event was epic. Rhonda and her whole team are relentless to help and go out of their way with service. We were so pleased with the location and staff. Would highly recommend to other companies looking for venue space!
Lindsay Birdsong
We love the Science Museum! So much to do and see. We like to keep trips short (around 3 hours) and try to do different things each time. The kids always have a blast and never get bored. We can't wait for our next visit!!
Jaynann Wilson
They have something for all ages! My son is two and a half and especially enjoyed CurioCity. Some of the other exhibits were difficult for him to understand that they were hands off (like the airplanes). There is so much to see and do!
Joe Stephany
This place is amazing! I took my 3 year old there over 20 times in 3 months. We moved there for a traveling contract and this was our go to place to kill time and explore. There is always something new to discover!
Maria Velasco
I loved this place as a kid and I probably love it more now as a parent. We have the membership and we love it! We have a 1 year old and a 3 year old and they have the most fun there. I am very grateful for the nurseries so I can take a breastfeeding break and then continue to play with the girls. Everything is so well thought out and the customer service is great!
K R
It was amazing! We saw all of the planetarium shows and they're all honestly great for adults and kids. The whole museum is really hands on, and we always have a fun time
Vicki Ryle
Wonderful place to take the kids for a day. Lot's of fun exhibits and informative shows. Tons of interactive activities for the whole family. Make sure you set aside at least 4 hours to enjoy your time here.
Patricia Figueroa
We are pass holders, my family enjoys the museum. Today was a very busy day, we had to wait at almost all exhibit/attractions
The Curiocity and Science Live are our favorites. The rest of the museum is in desperate need of updating. The Planietriem is the same as 25+years. (Get a new video!). Also many stations were "unmanned' and we could not participate. The water play area is missing too many pieces and other exhibits buttons no longer work. I really do like the museum, but please update and maintain this OKC family fun spot.
Sally DeWitt
By far the best science museum I've ever been to. VERY large location with tons of exhibits. Staff was great with multiple interactions and shows. We took our 3 year old and my father, so a large age range and everyone enjoyed.
MJordan
Very nice and lots of fun for kids but 2 big problems:
1. Way over-priced
2. The restaurant is nothing short of a catastrophe
Wren Summerset
Our family has enjoyed going to the science museum for years.
Kirstin James
I used to come here as a kid and love bringing my toddler here when we visit. There are so many types of exhibits for children (and adults) of all ages with different interests. Love that there is a separate toddler area with a door to keep them from getting run over by the older kids and there’s even a nursing room inside the toddler area. Great place to visit!
Paul
Loads of stuff to do. Place is huge. The Science Live and Planetarium are a lot of fun and informative. We spent 6 hours there.
SaintSoren
A fantastic complex with engaging, fun exhibits. It's huge, so you want to wear good comfy walking shoes. Might want to bring extra clothes in case the kiddos get carried away with the water exhibits. The planetarium was closed for renovations when we went, which was a bummer. Food court has a good selection but is rather pricey. We ended up paying $15 just for drinks! Overall the museum is awesome and worth the cost. I def reccomend going during the week first thing in the morning to avoid crowds.
Christine Parker
You could spend an entire day here. There are two big interactive/climbing/playground type things inside. There is also a large open play area with big blocks, a giant checker and chess set, a huge light bright, connect four etc. There are tons of great interactive exhibits. My older kids are three and five and they loved it. We were there for four hours and didn't see everything. The exhibits are fun for adults and kids. There is a nursing/changing area for babies and lots of clean restrooms that have sinks easy for kids to reach. Across the board a great experience.
Jason Lewis
Always a cool place to visit. There's always something you didn't see the last time you came. Some exhibits have been used to death since it's all hands-on. It brings out the kid in all of us playing with these science-y toys and learning at the same time
Cinda Campbell
We go here all the time. My daughter LOVES it.
Sydney Escobedo
This place was amazing. The woman at the desk to give us our tickets was very pleasant and told us where to go first. I had 3 children with me 4,7, and 12. Each kid was fully entertained. We were there for almost 5 hours. The kids size portioned food at the cafe is good if the kid doesn't eat a lot. My kids do and I should have gotten them adult sized portions. Very large place with much to do. I believe we paid around 59$ for 3 kids and 1 adult. Not a bad price as long as we stayed!
Becca Marks
Such an awesome affordable place for the whole family! I have a 5, 7, and 16 yr old and they all enjoyed it. Definitely plan for the whole day or split it into 2 days. There is just too much to get it all in one day.
Nena Rodriguez
What to say about the Science Museum. I love it here. Me and my husband visited this past weekend and although we're adults, we had so much fun exploring. It's fantastic how much you learn and adding the 'hands on' approach is fantastic. I've told everyone i know (especially with children) to check out the Science Museum.
Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
CJay Sanders
Soooo fun! For us and our two young daughters. Would definitely recommend! Prices were pretty decent too at the coffee shop and gift shop. I loved it there!
Christopher Easter
Staff were all courteous and friendly. This place is amazing!!!! Glad we came and we will definitely be back. (This was our first time visiting.) There is sooooo much to see and do here!! The price is definitely worth it. Thank you to all your staff:: you made our day! Our kids loved their visit. We will recommend your museum to our family and friends.
Scott Bomer
There are many interesting exhibits to see, and hours of exploring to do. I highly recommend visiting.
Horatio Hewat
The museum exhibits had a good space between each other and separate groups were clearly marked. Signage was clear. The atmosphere was bright and inviting. I liked the two planetarium shows. At the second show we were informed that the planetarium is old and plans are underway to replace it which will make the shows more enjoyable. There is an area to get snacks though I didn’t check it out so I can’t give any more information. The most important thing, I see is a lot of families with their children who are interacting in and with the exhibits.
AJ Madden
Great place to take the kids and spend the day! Lots of interactive and educational hands on displays, and a short distance from the OKC Zoo
Kanako Kuramochi
My 7 and 10 years old sons had so much fun here. We spent 2 hours until closing but couldn't finish all the part. Definitely recommend
Mario Borunda
Great place for all ages! There are exhibits for small kids to grown ups. We also went to the Sherlock Holmes exhibit and it was great to try to follow the deduction method of forensics.
Patti Berent
So much to do for kids of all ages. We spent over 3 hrs here and time flew by. Everything is first class here. Expensive admission but worth it. Lots of cleaning, disinfecting going on. Thumbs up!
Kilian 303. 11-Hydrox.
Not sure about this place anymore, I suppose covid really took its toll on the museum? Hardly anything is open in the place anymore. Lots of closed exhibits, really is a shame that Okies don’t take more pride in education, the science museum was a really great place a few years ago… looks as though they are having a hard time staying open. I hope it finds its former glory again, in the times of fundamentalist Xstian indoctrination.
Stephanie Christian
Such a fun learning experience! Clean and social distancing is enforced fairly well. It was sad to see that some things were temporarily closed due to CDC guidelines for COVID, but still so much to see/do. Definitely buy your tickets ahead of time. I saw a lot of people turned away today (spring break).
Sylvia Daye
So much to do n so hands on, my babies went crazy. Only able to see only 1/2 of the first floor but will be back. Best idea ever.
Sarah Hope-Thomas
I came to science museum as a child when it was still the Omniplex. This year I bought a year long pass for myself and my four year old. We love it. We come as often as possible and still have a blast every time. There is so much to do here that you can’t do it all in one visit. You have to take your time and enjoy it. My daughter gives it two thumbs up. It is pricey. Which is why I suggest the season pass. The pass last 365 days. So it’s good for all seasons. You absolutely can bring in outside good and drinks so bring your picnic stuff and make a day out of it!
Vinh Tang
Took my two girls for an afternoon of fun. They're 3 1/2 & 2. Awesome place. They loved all the interactive exhibits. the place really has all the basic science stuff and makes everything fun and enjoyable for kids. The girls played and saw non-stop for 3 hrs. They could have literally spent all day there.
Kyra Fries
We love it! Our boys are 5, 3 and 1 and there is something for each of them. The new kid areas downstairs and upstairs are fantastic! The old kid areas are still a blast with my kids. Went to Planetarium and my 5yr old was scared before it started but had a blast learning about space from a smart and funny lady. I do not recommend cafeteria food for price alone so just bring your lunch and save $. We have a membership and love that we can come any time it is open.
Todd Sexton
Love the interactive exhibits. My 4 year old granddaughter could literally come here everyday and be happy!
Jillian Blythe
I love the different rotating exhibits featuring different artists/influential people in history. There's tons of fun things to do and see, definitely worth a visit. The only downside is the cost of everything in their gift shop- everything in there is way overpriced for the select items.
B M
Great great museum!! There’s such a variety of activities and exhibits that the same child could experience differently as he or she gets older. In our experience it’s just as entertaining to Mom and Dad as it is to our two year old. They have a nursing room or two, several bathrooms throughout, benches and even a big, outdoor garden. I love that you can bring drinks and snacks in, but they also offer a variety inside.
Sandy Shaheen
It was amazing! By far one of the best museum experiences for Kids!! There are plenty of interactive learning stations and some cool shows to go see. I enjoyed it and I am an adult!!! This is a must see attraction here in Oklahoma City!!
007 bdub
Kids loved it! We were there from 10:30-3:30. They didn't want to leave, but they were wore out. Birth little ones were asleep within 10 minutes of starting the car! Lol!
Linna De Cuir
We got the family membership because we knew we would come here a lot. It's totally worth the savings to get the annual membership for my husband, son and I. My two year old loved the place. So many activities for him to try and play with. He especially loved the air tubes and foam balls. There is also a open play area with modular foam building pieces for kids and brick sized Legos. Great place to entertain and wear out your kids for a few hours.
Ashley Carter
Really enjoyable for the kids and adults too. We really love the Curiocity area. You can tell there are some areas that need to be updated throughout. Biggest complaint would be that they need more seating for adults to rest and wait for the kids to finish areas throughout.
Sariah Anderson
So much fun! Great for kids, teens, and adults. They have a Starbucks. There is an elevator. My friends and I had so much fun!!!
Phoebe Antonovich
Had so much fun here!
Dustin Bennett
Great experience! Excellent for children through about age 10, and still entertaining for older kids as there are many active engaging hands on items to play with. Favorite: Water exhibit demonstrating how "Now you see me 2" did the rain stunt with strobe lights.
Kelsey Christopher
I can't over hype this Museum enough! This was hands down the best science/ interactive museum i have ever been to. My two kids age 4.5 and 2.5 were thoroughly entertained the entire visit. We spent 5 hours in the Museum and could have easily stayed longer. Well worth the money!!
Rafael Villalon
The right place for a good time with the family. Here kids play a learn the same time. Very good place.
Hayden Carrier
My girlfriend and I had a great time. The museum is very sensory and child friendly.
N Henson
Was surprised at the amount of stuff for a 19 month old to do. They have an enclosed area for smaller children with many things to climb and play in. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Friendly and went above and beyond to make the experience great. The facility is very clean and well kept.
Sam Riccio
Its pretty expensive to get in, about $20 a piece for adults, but if you spend the entire day in there its worth the price.
I love that its so interactive and there's always something for you to fidget with, which is especially good for people like me.
Paul Anderson
My first trip back to the Science Museum was a few weeks ago and the time before that was probably when I was in middle school many moons ago. There were still a few things I remembered as a kid but all of the new exhibits and interactive zones were awesome! We were there with a 2yo and a 5yo and they both seemed to enjoy their day. This is a sure fire way to tire out your kiddos.
Kasey Gillespie
I've been to only a handful of science museums in my life, but this is definitely my favorite. It is always getting new exhibits and attractions. They regularly have space shows, science shows, or whatever shows. My kids love it here. The annual pass is like $150, which also gets you into a bunch of other museums across the U.S. We've taken advantage of that on multiple occasions. The awesome thing about this place is you'll take your kids here thinking it is just for them, and then you'll find yourself having a lot of fun too. There is so much to learn for everyone at every age. A definite must see for young and old families.
Samantha Crunk
My family always enjoys the hands-on experience and fun atmosphere of SMO. Staff is very friendly and helpful, the facility is always clean. Hand sanitizer and wipes can be found easily. We are looking forward to the newest exhibits opening soon! Highly recommend a visit, you can easily spend 2 hours + and still not see everything.
Minnie Mirra
It was such a great experience for the family, so many things to do and we also found a funny thing as the dinosaur skeleton had a mask on lol. All in all the experience was breathtaking!
TC Cooper
So much fun! Truly something for everyone. Multiple indoor playground type areas, crafting and many other interactive exhibits as well. We were there for over 5 hrs and never made it through everything! They even have a cafeteria type area that serves food that's not crazy expensive. The staff on man we interacted with numerous staff members throughout the facility from the tinkering garage cafeteria and many more all went above and beyond these people love their job and it shows!!!! Plenty of restrooms and water faucets throughout. Top level has elevator access. Everything you could want or need for a day of fun building lifelong memories! A MUST STOP FOR SURE!
Jonathan Lilly
Huge place with lots of activities. The people that ran the science show and the planetarium did a great job. We made it through some of the exhibits in 4 hours but there was still so much to see and do. Love that they are still adding more. Only had snacks at the snack bar so unsure of how to rate service for food but I love the healthy food and drink alternatives.
Shauna Lusk
So much fun. Lots of things to do and see! (Also got to see an old high school classmate on staff! Was very exciting.) Thanks for a great time!
Kayla Yost
This place is awesome!!! Kids had a blast, even adults can enjoy this place! They have Starbucks- a mother's necessity! Great place to spend a few hours and a reasonable price.
Anna Thomason
Really cool museum to check out. Highly recommend going!
Austin Murray
The Omniplex (sorry, I'm old) is a hometown favorite I've been visiting since I was a wee boy. Now I take my kiddos and they always have a blast. We've had several birthday parties there and it's always an awesome experience. I'f you're looking for quality entertainment in OKC, look no further.
Britani Smith
Staff was very nice. It was great that the explosion show was included in the price. Lots of activities for all ages but more activities for early elementary. Lots of fun and could see myself going back with a group of kids or for a birthday party.
Rick Phillips
This is a great place to spend the whole day, looking at all the exhibits, and many of them are hands on. Your kids will love this place, because they can learn so many fascinating new things that they never could new before. The whole family will enjoy it. I have been here several times, and that always and frilled at the things to do here.
Violeta Whitaker
So much fun! There was something to do for any age. Lots of interesting things and hands on activities. We spent the whole day and ate lunch there. The food was good and we went back for more fun.
Steven Smittle
This place is amazing! Worth a revisit! Appropriate for all ages. Very clean and didn't see anything that was broken or out of order. The live shows are also worth seeing. Plan on a whole day, especially with kids that will read the displays and information.
Izzy Imposible
So I haven’t been to the science museum since I was 10 years old (I’m 24 now). Very nice place and still so much fun. One thing I noticed when I went upstairs to the “beautiful minds” room there was so many kids and their stories on the wall. I noticed that there wasn’t ANY children of color up there. Really a disappointment because while being there I seen so many people of color there (Blacks, Asians, Hispanics and Indians). I hope near the future they put more children up there so that everyone can relate.
Craig Dodds
The museum keeps adding new exhibits. Lots of people but never felt super crowded. Worth checking out for sure. Plenty to see and lots of things gs to interact with
Joyce Creed
We were there for six hours and the four year old grandson found plenty to do. We packed a lunch and ate at one of the many tables provided near the train section. I thoroughly enjoyed the exhibits, the attentiveness of the staff, and the enhanced opportunities for kids to play...visit and you will see what I mean.
Jennifer Rogers
If the best science museum we've been to is a 10/10, we would give this one a 7/10 . It's not super-big, it's a little pricey, and several activities needed repairs. But our 1, 2, and 3 yr olds had a really really great time. We left after 2 1/2 hours only because the kids were getting tired and hungry (aka: cranky). There are several play areas for toddlers, some hands on stuff for elementary kids; I think older kids would get bored quickly. I saw several families who brought their own lunches and ate at the cafeteria. All in all, a pretty good place to bring young kids
Lawrence Ross
It's fantastic for kids of all ages. Some of the interactive exhibits are the same ones from when I was a kid way too long ago and some are brand new. Five stars all around. The food's not bad and the gift shop's gotten bigger too.
It's about 15 bucks per adult ticket.
Servant of the King
This museum is HUGE, definitely worth the price. I am thnkful I got a membership so I could go back and see everything I missed the first 3 times! They have 4 kids areas throughout that they can just play hard and then they have an adult playplace too (for those who desire to have fun with their kids). 😊 I would recommend this place over the zoo during the summer because it is air conditioned. 😉
SanMiguel Esparza
Definitely worth every penny.. Will b back
Angelina Stoglin
Amazing spot for adults and kids. Kid ages from 10yr -12yrs and enjoyed every room. Couldn't finish on one day.
Jeff Quinton
Really interesting and fun place for kids and some adults to go and enjoy.
Gabrielle Ginn
My 25 yr old daughter found out I hadnt been, so I drove from Tulsa to where she lives, then to the museum today lol. Started out REALLY disappointing. Most of the stuff that I was excited to try (many of which others have always talked about being great) didn't work, if they were even displayed at all! Alot of the 1st half of the bldg is not in working order, totally missing, or not set up for interacting like it's suppose to be.
The last 1/2 was better. The ONLY working simulator we found was docking w/the space station (which was AWESOME). The planetarium was fun & they personalize it. There was a few other working things, but all the good ones were MIA. There was no workers willing to come explain any of the displays to people/kids who obviously didnt understand it. The crafts lady was wonderful as well as the planetarium kid. The gift shop lady near close was really rude. I had so much higher hopes but quite disappointed.
Ahsan Mustafa
What an amazing place this is for kids and perhaps for anyone who is a science lover. We went in september, so they hand wipes at ample places for us to clean after touching anythig. There was a section where kids could try out music instruments, conduct small science experiments like flying a paper plane out of a shooter. They had live science shows where they conducted experiments using nitrogen, at a safe distance which even included explosions. The best was perhaps the planetarium which finally my son's interest into space. Various science exhibits which allowed kids to actually see and conduct the experiment themselves was the most fun thing here. My son was absolutely crazy over the mini tornado creator. Many similar things like it. They had some living animals as well such as fishes, Madagascar cockroaches, spiders. We were there for a good 4 hours and still there was still stuff that we couldn't do. All in all the ticket is definetly worth it if u plan to spend alleast half a day..its a must see for anyone visiting OKC.

It's a great place to learn about science and get them interested in a number of different subjects related to it. My nephew and I went there and had a great time. Always a fun time at the Science Museum.
DynablineCorqui
Definitely not worth the money, tickets need to be cheaper. It's a great place for kids, but so many of the interactions are either broken or have not been cleaned in ages. Still had fun, just wish I got what I payed for.
Kathryn Anderson
Loved this! Lots of interactive fun for the entire family! Kids, young adults, parents, and even couples could find plenty to do here! Good mix of history and innovation, things to read and things for "play." Easy to keep socially distanced for covid purposes, and there are unobtrusive disinfectant wipe stations all over! Highly recommend to anyone in/visiting Oklahoma City!

This location was very surprising. The museum is huge. There are lots of exhibits that appeal to everyone. When you think you've seen it all, you turn a corner and discover an entire section that you missed. The museum was the highlight of our trip to Oklahoma City.
Natoya Addison
Great place for children to explore and play. We spent at least 2.5 hours and could have stayed longer. We missed the top section.

This is one of the best science museums I've been to. I have a membership and take the kids all the time. There are plenty of amazing hands on activities that children will love; things to do, to climb on, to build, games to play. This is great because other science museums are either pretty sparse in what they offer or the content of their exhibits are suited more toward people with, say, a longer attention span. Not to say that there isn't anything for the adult here, there certainly are, but with multiple unique play areas and a large play space on the second floor children will get a greater kick out of it. The large Tesla coil is always fun, as is playing with the effects of frequencies on falling water. If you are visiting OKC or live here and want something different, spend a few hours at the science museum. It is worth it.

I remember visiting the museum when I was a kid and having a blast. I met one of the employees recently (Barry) and he recommended I take my kids, I couldn't believe this was the same place, it's so much better now. My kids had a great time and we will definitely be back. I highly recommend the Science Museum to anyone.

We love this museum! Hand in and lots of learning to be had. With COVID, I appreciated having sanitizer wipes available at a lot of the exhibits. My only complaint would be that there was no one encouraging the giidelines at certain activities such as, "only one family at this this activity" or "only two families at this exhibit". One we entered ask that only two families be in there and there was about 30 people in there and through observation we were pretty sure that wasn't two families. We left as to respect the rules but I would just hope that museum staff would be more involved in asking patrons to follow guidelines.

It's a spacious place to hang out with friends and do some cool ( and educational ) activities. I can imagine a family easily spending a whole day here. It's always nice to see when they bring in new interactive displays and update material. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area with a young family and looking for something to do.

We recently went on a school field trip and we enjoyed it. We’ve been to other Science museums in other cities and they are pretty much all the same, just with different exhibits, all are great and all are great experiences for kids! They do a good job of organizing the field trips and even with multiple schools being there it never felt overcrowded. The only suggestion I would have is for more seating for parents/adults. There were some areas that had plenty of seats while other areas had none or very few. For example, the open area at the top of the stairs, and the area where you first enter the gymnastics area, both areas I found myself walking around looking for somewhere to sit.
Highly recommend visiting here!

I've been going to the science museum, or should i say omniplex for over 19 years of my life or more. There are many great things to see here. As also as another reviewer has said the maintenance could use a boost on some things. But its never a dull moment. Every time i go back it feels new again. Hopefully one day our science museum will be even bigger.
CB Stringham
Used to come here all the time when the kid was younger, but it has added a bunch of new attractions and activities! They are taking extra measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 by having sanitizer and sanitizing wipes located throughout the museum, which is nice to see. Lots of things for younger kids to explore, but teens can still learn and ha e fun, too!
Justine DeClerck
Should be called a children's science museum. Extremely kid friendly!!! Plenty for grubby fingers to see and touch. Bring them in early and if they leave still wound up then you're leaving too soon!!
Exhibits are geared to kids so science loving adults may be a bit bored but if the adults interact with the kids both should have a good time. Kids tend to want to play and not read exactly how the exhibit works. Show one kid the tricks and walk off. Wander back by and that kid is probably still there showing off to the others. The planetarium show is also geared to kids. Simple and not too long.

Great experience for a very reasonable price. Fond memories of this place as a child, too.

An OKC classic attraction! We’ve gone here for probably 30 years now. Always a great place to have fun while learning. They have some unique exhibits and our family loves it, adults included. The trains are really cool, and the flower you stand in is fun. Our kids love the earthquake simulator!
Brittany Armijo
Fun for kids super expensive so will not go back since we have a big family. We love the experience and memories!
Jessica Castro
My grandchildren had a great time, lots of interactive exhibits and things to do.
Karly Lou Philips
The Science Museum was absolutely sensational! You can spend all day enjoying mind blowing exhibits, and still not see half of what they have to offer. It is perfect for small or large groups of people, or even to visit alone. I handed my husband my bag and he lost it. The security team had it put up safely and met me at the front desk to return it. All staff was friendly, helpful, and entertaining. If you are forced to choose between the Science Museum or the zoo, I would recommend the Science Museum.
Richard Dailey
Best science museum I have visited. A variety of displays for everyone from toddlers to 70 years old like me. We visited with two teenagers. They did not get bored in the 4 hours we were there. That made it worth the price.
Ashley J.
Kiddos always have a blast! We go regularly and the yearly passes are a money saver for our large family!

Been hear as a kid and now I'm grown I take my nephews and have a blast every time great for all ages so much to do!

One of the best we have been to. Great place to take children to and a lot of fun and interest for adults as well. We loved the space exhibits and the actual training module used by the apollo astronauts was so cool. Lots of hands on exhibits. Great staff.
Brittaney Keith
I didn’t know the science museum could get any better since there last remodeled it but I’ve heard about a nursery room being added in the facility!!!!! HOW AWESOME IS THAT. Thank you for supporting moms❤️.
Jamisha Hattley
My kids and I had a WONDERFUL time here. We watched the show and learned how to make a fireball 😁, we played checkers and chess upstairs, the optical illusion was great for the kids, they learned about tornadoes and how currents work. It was fun and educational at the same time. Awesome family fun and it wasn't expensive $50 for 3?!?! All you can play/learn. Best deal hands down 😊
Paul Casey
Absolutely amazing experience. Something for all ages.

So much fun! I come frequently with (adult) friends and we have a blast! I'm sure it's great for kids too! I have seen a lot of complaining about the cafeteria in these reviews. It's a science museum cafeteria not Gordon Ramsay's kitchen. Yes, it's a little overpriced and it's not fancy. If that's your biggest complaint you are doing pretty good! Cheers!
Andrea Bailey-Lammerts
We buy memberships which pay for themselves in two visits. Free parking. I haven't paid to enter any special exhibit yet. Tons of things to see, touch, jump on, climb, listen to, and learn about. It's a cords between a McDonald's playground and a nice museum. You get the fun playtime with your kids and sensory integration, but you're also engaging them in learning.
Jack Test
Always fun. Worth buying a membership if you have small children so you don’t have to see it all in one day.
Ana Hernandez
My kids loved it here the staff was so friendly and the place was well worth the cost of tickets. I would say arrive early so you have plenty of time to explore everything.
Klaitu Von Awesome
This is a pretty great and educational place for kids, and there's a little something for adults, too! The Planetarium was particularly enjoyable.
Mollie Kroger
This place is amazing! There are so many unique hands on experiences for the kids. My 3 grandkids loved it. Definitely visit this if you are in OKC! You will be impressed!
terry pinney
We came with only 2 hours before closing.
Not enough time, need hours here.
Jennifer Combs
Have you ever wanted to go somewhere and touch everything, allow your children to literally be hands on and do not have to say once all day "put that down or don't touch that"? Welp, this is the place. You can spend all day here and not see everything. It is sensory overload so be mindful of littleones who may get overwhelmed in loud places. There is an area where you can eat and rest. Restrooms are located in easy to see areas and all the ones that I were had a changing table for little ones. Parking lot is decent and we found a really good spot however we got there an hr after it opened. When we left the parking lot was darn near full. They do offer a military discount.
I highly recommend coming here. It's fun and a great way to spend time with family.
Rebecca Thomison
We had fun went with the school and got to stay after they left with our daughter!! Got some pretty amazing things in there!!

Everytime I take my kids we find something we didn't see before! Makes for a fun and interactive family day. We got a year pass which was totally worth it.

Great hands on science and super fun for the little kids. My daughter thinks it’s an amusement park…
Patrick Roberts
I remember the Omniplex as a kid. While it was fun to see some of the exhibits that remain from my elementary years, the new areas of the Science Museum are absolutely amazing. My son and I had a great time. We were on a road trip so we only had a couple of free hours....you could easily spend a day there so we are already planning on coming back and doing the Natural History Museum south of OKC as well. Nice staff. Facilities are top notch. Lots of activities to explore for all ages.
Tiffany Wise
Absolutely worth the money and drive! Our kids had so much fun! We spent about 4 hours playing
Samantha Cutshall
I love coming here and I love getting to bring my kids. They always have something new and exciting and I love the balance of fun and education. 10/10 would recommend every time
Lindsey Jones
I love the OKC science museum. I’ve been to numerous other science museums in other states and OKC has the best. It’s a massive place and there are so many hands on experiences for kids and adults. My teenagers enjoy just as much as my four year old. I can’t recommend this place enough.

This is absolutely amazing. Not your average science museum with the same old stuff. We didn't do everything and we spent 4 hours there. It is well worth the money. The only warning- don't go expecting good food. It was horrible and greasy, and we've eaten several zoo and museum foods this was the worst we've had. Otherwise, excellent!!
Aaron Harp
It was ok. I researched before I went and it didn't say anything about it be a children's museum. It was good for what it was but if you don't have kids then it's probably not going to be that great. Wasn't worth the price of admission.
Erin Kim
I enjoyed visiting the Science Museum! As a college student, I was initially worried that I would feel awkward around a lot of kids and parents. Even though I barely saw anyone else my age, I ignored that fact because I was learning so much. I like the Space area best because I understood much of the physics and science going on. Seeing things I had learned first hand helped me understand it better and made me excited. I feel that people of all ages can find something cool at the museum. Those who don't know much science can still have fun doing the activities and those who do know science can also have fun. I agree with other reviewers that you need a lot of time to go through the entire museum. I didn't have that much time, so I only got through half the museum. Definitely recommend stopping by for any science enthusiast!

I don't know where to start. This place is amazing! We bought the membership passes in October at Mathis Brother's Furniture for $99. It allows you to sign up six people for unlimited entry for a year AND you get six guest passes! We probably got our money's worth in the first month and we continue to use it over and over again, bringing my 4-year-old every few weeks, sometimes more. We have been there so many times, I can't begin to count, yet we still spend hours there everytime we visit because there is so much to do. It's a fun place for kids and adults, alike. It is a very hands-on experience with so much to learn, discover, and play with. There are multiple playland like areas as well.
Celeste Davis
The trip to the museum this weekend was so fun! Our first time visiting and the museum exceeded our expectations. SO many different things for kids to do and explore. The staff was super nice and helpful as well.
Victoria Stiltz
We had a great time! With 5 kids it's hard to make them all happy but at the science museum we succeeded! Now the cafe was another story.Found it dirty, food was not good at all ! The cashier made you feel stupid to the point you wished you left for lunch & came back !
Olivia Gottschalk
Best Science Museum! They've added a ton of new features and our kids love spending the day here! CurioCity rocks!! And the new giant game area is lots of fun! So much to see and explore here...for all ages! Food is reasonably priced too so when you need a break to eat, you won't spend a ton!

I couldn't say enough amazing things about this place. As ASTC members, we have been to over a dozen science centers. This one was fanstastic. We loved the explosions show and the segway rides was a HUGE hit for EVERYONE in my family. We had the opportunity to meet a worker named Abigail who was beyond helpful and very friendly to my children. My son loved the plane exhibit and I enjoyed looking at the railroad. The exhibit off to the right as you walk in could have an entire DAY dedicated to it. We loved playing on the slides, going on the self-powered merry go round, laying on a bed of nails, walking in a sideways house, playing with sling shots, etc. A MUST SEE for ANYONE visiting OKC!
Josefa Venegas
A very fun place to take the family with lots of fun and learning things as well. Its a great place for a birthday party my nephew had his party there and it was pretty awesome but they also have lots of cool other things to do here so if you haven't checked it out then you should.
Anna M
I enjoy visiting every time. I like that some of the exhibits swap out.I had so much fun with the litebrite.

Absolutely wonderful place to be today, even with a tremendous crowd of all ages. Have been going there for years, and this is the best yet with all the new additions. Planatarium program doesn't begin to compare to the previous in presentation or information, though. Very nice presenter, but hoping they return to previous program. Very, very low cost for the hours of fun that was had. Our 4th grade grandson gives today a "10"!
Sara Walquist
We love visiting the Science Museum. There’s SO much to see and discover. I particularly enjoy how many “hands on” and visitor involved areas there are. We have multiple ages of children, and there is always something for EVERYONE! (Even Dad and Mom!) Return visits never get old.
Chris L.
Took my girlfriend and daughter here on 2/5/2021. Good times for kiddos. Happy to see the updates that have been made to this place. I remember coming here as a kid in the 80's and having a blast. Daughter had a blast.

This Museum could use a little help. Over the years several displays remain close I'd like to understand why. Particularly their air and space wing of the museum which I've heard is still not open to the public. But then again they are in the middle of Renovations so I can understand that .other than that little side note, I give this Museum four stars it just needs some minor improvements and some newer exhibits. Thankfully it's in the renovation plans so it looks like that will happen which is good for future visitors!

Came on 8/15/22 with a Friend to this Museum , Awesome stuff loved the Model Trains a Lot
Roya Popescu
Loved it. My two year old loved it. The only thing I would suggest is to not let young kiddos go down the big green slide. It was scary for her and made her cry. Other than that we had a blast!
