Reviews of Frenchmen Art Bazaar
Jon Pugeda
What a really cool Night Market! This place is it’s own VIBE! I thought it was a great balance of different modalities of artists. Painters, Jewelers, Photographers, Thrifters, I mean they had it all. We all definitely spent some money here. Great to meet new friends, people watch, or just listen to the music come out of DBA right across the street. This spot is a Big Easy must do! PRO TIP: Airplane bottles
Leah Martin
This part to me is so beautiful. A lot of talented artists here. Lots of beautiful work here. Its like a hidden gem 💎 …
Andy Sparesus
Great art and friendly artists! We always visit when we are in town
Celeste
This is a great open air market! Lots of quality artists are there. They are all very nice people. My niece, sister and I each bought several items. One vendor gave us a discount for buying multiple items. I really liked the variety of vendors there as well. It is open a lot later at night than I would expect for an outdoor fair which is a fun little treat!
Lilly Barboza
I was expecting art galore, like the artists in Jackson Square, it was an alley with artist in table booths. Not as energy filled as Jackson Square with artists drawing live. I was visiting New Orleans so I took an Uber from French Quarter to here since it opens late and by that time I was tired. I don't think it was worth it. Not to the artist's fault, they are great, just not a touristy place to go.
Shenice Rutherford-Maxton
There's a lot of really great artists there and they all sell some really unique stuff. Everyone I talked to was able to take both cash and card so I didn't have to worry about running out of cash and not being able to get anything I wanted. They have painting, jewelry, sculptures, etc. Everyone there was really nice too. Would definitely recommend stopping by if you have a chance.
Bob Queen
This a beautiful night market with very interesting local artists on display. Very hip and unique art it is a nice break from clubbing and always upbeat as the customers invariably are a little tipsy and in a celebratory mood. I always like sticking my head in there and am drawn by the strings of lights. Fun always every time I pass through.
Franz Kafka
Wow...a great pass thru place on a weekend night, reminds me of a boardwalk arcade. Lots to see and a lot of New Orleans talent on display.
Shon Clark
Good variety of artists work. Bought multiple items. Highly recommend stopping in!
Danielle Brodeur
Marvelous artists, so much talent! It is a great place to find gifts for any occasion
Laura Ruiz
Really cool spot to visit, take stroll down the artisans. New Orleans has a lot of good artists. You should totally visit if in town. Dont miss going to the bars on Frenchman st. Nice people, good vibes.
Precious Lopez
So much beautiful art & friendly people. Had a wonderful time seeing & learning about all the local artists
Kevin Parrett
Amazing eclectic area. PLEASE VISIT!
Brandon
I always make a point to visit here on my trips to Nola. I rarely leave without buying some local art and often more than I intended to.
Arthur Fischer
Super cool ambience on one of New Orleans premier music streets. I highly recommend a walk through nightly as it seems the artists change daily. Never know what you'll find or who you'll see. A lot of great original art though.
Allayne Austin
Cool vendors and great buys!
Caralyn Tenney
Palace Market was a great experience! There was a great selection of vendors with a great selection of art from lamps made from books to layered epoxy flower frames. The atmosphere was really chill and I would recommend grabbing a drink from a nearby bar and taking your time to wander around.
Stephanie Sands
So much artistic talent! Somewhat a limited variety, but an eccentric group of local artisans creating some really unique and beautiful things.
Heidi Leaf
Affordable art by small vendors. Loved it!
Merressa Schwenneker
A must see if you're in the city. It's a cute collection of artist showing their unique work of art! It's lit up at night and very beautiful.
Louis Davis
If you appreciate art, I'd highly recommend checking this area out. Local artists display their beautiful work. Art for kids to adults.
MyFit FootSnug
Great consistent outdoor art market. I could complain but whatever I’m glad they do it.
Joseph Walton Photography
I work here and love all the artists and folks visiting new orleans
Erika Perone-Bailey
Cool place to go at night that is a little more low key than other areas. Not huge, but some cool artisans.
Hayden T
If the hustle and bustle of late night fun on Frenchman Street has got you overwhelmed, take a minute to get cultured at the Palace Market on Frenchman. With a selection ranging from saxophones repurposed at lamps to art prints you can't really go wrong. All of the shop vendors are super nice and will engage you in conversation no matter your level of sobriety. Support local artists!
Kisha Camille Jackson
Amazing venue filled with makes from local artists,
Veronica Sanchez
Wow It was supper fun bar hooping locals turist you name it. This a great street to party
Benedet Lopz
Nice spot with local artists, do you shopping here and support NOLA’s arts
Lola Jean Darling
Always an amazing experience with incredibly talented artists
Nancy Turner
My husband and I have enjoyed this market for years, and we finally got to bring our kids here last weekend. The vendors are always friendly, but they were especially sweet to our son who has developed an interested in rocks and gems. Every vendor selling jewelry stopped to show him various stones and gems. He was beyond excited when we left, and he is still talking about it days later.
Kimberly Hooks
Fun market with local art treasures! Much better quality than art in Jackson Square. Love talking to the artists at each booth about their wares. We found some quality artwork to take home with us. Word of advice: if you see something you like, buy it. I hesitated on a t-shirt I liked, went back the next night, and that artist was no longer there.
Sara Lyons (shakespeareangeek)
Lots of variety from photography to painting to metalwork. Mostly the artists themselves behind the tables, I believe, and all super friendly. Plus you can hear the music from the bars around Frenchman street, so it's got a great atmosphere. Only open in the evenings, highly recommend.
Connie Storey
Easy to find & fun to wander through. There was some lovely art and some interesting items that appeal to more eclectic tastes. I must admit some of the necklaces featuring small animal or bird skulls were fascinating rather than creepy. Something for everyone!
Wakaba Omi
I love the atmosphere here at night. The lights, the artwork, jazz playing in the background... it's not cheap though because you are looking at handcrafted works! I think a lot of prints and crafts I was looking at on average had a price tag of $50-$100. Some of the artists are real gems. If you're looking to have a good quality print to hang on your wall, this is good place to look. Usually, the artist is around to talk about their artwork too.
David Adams
I wanted to buy everything. The artists represents quite a variety of genre wood, leather, jewellery. Postcards t-shirts, etc all very unique. I think its a great venue that adds flavor to the locale. Accompanied by street jazz music. Poets on the street. Artists and their trade. It was an intoxicating environment.
Jesse Hunt
A fun place to get hand made one of a kind souvenirs from local New Orleans artists. There's live music everywhere as well as good food and a great environment, especially on a weekend night.
My favorite art there was the painted blazers, I have never seen anything like it before!
Nina Shuler
We had so much fun perusing the market! There was an assortment of jewelry, art, and all sorts of baubles.
Our favorite thing here was the tintype photobooth. We really enjoyed talking to Jen and discussing the process of how the tintypes were made. We cannot wait to receive our tintype photo in the mail!
Jj MacCrimmon
This is a tremendous little outdoor artist market. Multiple types of arts and crafts are available, and none of them are repackaged or mass produced. This is a great place to see and buy unique art, photos, clothing and more made by NOLA area artists.
Ryan DeHeer
We love this open air art spot in NOLA! It is a great distraction as you are walking the city and checking out the Frenchman St scene. There are some very talented local artists here. Definitely worth checking out.
Assaf Levy
For tourists coming from out of town:
It just another (yet very cute and pretty) artist market and it can be skipped.
But if you want to look at some nice and interesting pieces of art and you are close by..
Then this is a cute cozy one.
I didn't like the fact that the rules in the entrance stated: "No haggling"
BREN
Speculator Selection of different art forms. I settled on jewelry pieces from two different artist. I watched one artist create the beautiful jewelry items from zippers. Very orginal. Very well crafted.
I bought a second piece from an artist that created jewelry from recycle guitar strings and various gems. All the artwork was superior in the market area.
Mikhail Jacob
Delightful art market with artists setting up stalls under the twinkly lights. The art is great. Take your booze with you, after all you're in NOLA! Just be respectful of the artists and their work, please.
Nichelle M. Bush
Only a few art vendors, but a way to help the starving artists of NOLA check them out open 7p-12am
Joseph K.
Also affectionately called the Midnight Market, you'll find plenty of local goods, crafts and a touch of art in two sections. The place doesn't typically open until around 7pm and is open through midnight. Well worth the stroll if you need a break from being in the music clubs.
Nancy Gervais
The night market is just the right combination of art, artists, music, hipsters, drunk tourists, and funky Frenchmen Street vibe. Stop in before or after a bite or show. Great brief nighttime activity for those too young to get into the many surrounding bars.
Eva Moore
Bought some really cool art. Little bit of everything here.
Chishimba Simutowe
Even if you have no plans on buying anything it's still worth the trip. It's so fun. It's filled with local artists selling unique jewelry, photographs, clothing etc.
Lori Carpenter
This was a sale co-op of all different types of artisans local to New Orleans. There was so many different types of are .. paintings, jewelry, sculptures, books, photography prints.
Unfortunately I could not take pictures as that's a big no no. They are open Thursday-Sundays
Lawren Magers
Never even knew this place existed. Picked up some nice essential oils that work great There is also many different forms of local artwork in this market that was very interesting also. We will be back.
Deepti Kalkur
Beautiful, small open market!! Variety of art vendors with good products!
Ty
Definitely worth checking out for the food alone, but the music was excellent as well. Open seating, lots of space for groups, and close to the water if you want to take a stroll.
Andrew Ulbrich
Fun night market. Not very big.
Tara McIntyre Lelonek
Fun, quirky area that was hosting an art sale when we visited. It featured a lot of unique artists - will definitely try to visit again next time we're in town.

chester beebe
We were looking for a place to sit, so we walked in to the market, which opens at 7pm. It is a pleasing place to watch and listen and buy. A nice gem in a whirl of music and sound.
Erik Buchberger
While in NOLA on vacation, we stumbled upon this nightly streetside art festival/show and, uncharacteristically of us, walked out with some local art (from Spencer Epps, to give the artist credit where it's due). This show adds a bit of relaxed local flavor to the already authentic Frenchmen Street music scene, and I recommend that you stop by when it's open. I'm not sure when the show starts, but all of the artists indicated that it ended at midnight, so you have plenty of time to pick something out!
Jami Spector
Very few artisans at this time I'm sure it will get better
Miguel Morales
There are some really good art installations from local artists. They work really hard and are very creative when it comes to their work. Well worth the stroll to even view their talent.
Karen Coleman Hinners
Make Frenchmen st your destination. You have to go after 7 pm, hop into d b a and the Spotted Cat, listen to the music permeating the air, and most definitely also spend some time here checking out the Palace Market! I wanted to purchase more than a few things but regrettably did not. Handmade, local artists representing themselves. This is very New Orleans.
Ashley Hobbs
The food and cocktails were absolutely incredible. The music was awesome and we loved our server! Would 100% recommend!
Mariko Hayashi
Very swanky, modern-yet-charming outdoor art market. And the art was top knotch! They've got some good vendors, as New Orleans is the city of street art, I found
Jake O'Brien
Gorgeous selection of home grown art and jewellery. A little on the priver.side of things but worth finding a bargain. Great banter from the vendors too.
Shaw
Nice gathering place. Prices are tourist driven, so I didn't purchase anything. Some vendors didn't speak to us, but most were very professional.
rl dwg
Go where the locals go!! Better than Bourbon St, 5 or 6 blocks of pure New Orleans. Impromptu Brass Band street corner concerts, family fun, no worries!
Vinny Oliveira
Almost no vendor here accepts credit cards, Inconvenient to say the least. Otherwise a good place to see local artwork, Bring cash if you plan to make any purchases.
Joseph Costa

A great arts and crafts market in the heart of New Orleans. A visit is worthwhile for everyone who pays a visit to the city of jazz.
We would definitely stop by here again if we visit again.
In addition to decorations, jewelry and paintings, the market also offers unique products such as B. Old photographs produced on site.

Super toll.

(Translation)
Nice cozy shopping market, which you should definitely visit in the evening. Unlike, for example, the French Market or the numerous souvenir shops, there is no Chinese waste here, but rather authentic and local art/souvenirs.
Stephane JEAN
