A wonderful, informative tour organized through the University of Wisconsin Extension. The artist-photographer, Jan Serr, guided us through her 2005 visit to China narrating her colorful photography and collection of artifacts. Many of her works displayed the juxtaposed historic features of China against recent development in culture and architecture. It was a privilege to have met her! I wish her narrative was on audio for a return visit, as my grandson is taking Mandarin. She concluded that the people of China value the same things we do in family, culture, environment, and economic stability.

I thoroughly loved strolling through the Secret Garden tour guided expertly (and with humor and grace) by Danielle Paswaters. The carefully curated collection was simultaneously interesting, beautiful and eclectic. I look forward to visiting again soon. Treat yourself to a delightful art immersion and visit The Warehouse!

The place is near downtown and sort of small but they make great use of the space with phenomenal walkthrough exhibits. The lady at the front desk was nice, we buzzed in, so it's safe too, and wore masks and it took us about a half hour or so to go through.

I wasn't sure what to expect coming here, but seeing a Picasso right away, up close, was a really fun surprise. There is currently a spring theme for the gallery and it's very pretty. I came in during sprint break with my younger daughter and her friend and we were greeted right away.
There is an area where the kids can play with a 4 foot long tiger they can lay on, a bench they can sit on, etc. Even when it's time to leave there were coloring pages for them. I wasn't expecting it to be so kid friendly.
The art was all labeled and showed that they had things ranging from the 1800s to current. I thought this was a really surprising, cool place to go. I will definitely go back when the theme is changed.

The space is modern and bright with dedicated parking. I only give it a four because I was not a huge fan of the current exhibition, which although interesting is more about making a statement than aesthetics.

Cool small multimedia art gallery. It's free and has parking on the side lot. Has some interesting paintings, sculptures and even interactive touch exhibits including a desk with a typewriter and rotary phone and a 3D stereoscope. It also has some books for sale.

Easily assessable, with good parking, The Warehouse is a medium - sized gallery that is just the right size for a leisurely, comfortable visit. Now it is open for weekdays only. The Japanese show we saw, which is there for only a few more days, was well - curated, with a range of art running from traditional to more modern, including pottery, sculpture, calligraphy, basketry, and textiles. China is up next, which I am looking forward to seeing.

I love this museum. It's small but mighty. The best hour of your month. I vow to visit every exhibition. Oh, and it's FREE!

The Secret Garden is an absolutely gorgeous exhibit. This place is a hidden gem! Today is the last day of this exhibit.

This was an excellent experience for my sons and I. Such a beautiful display and friendly staff. We will definitely return. I will also be sharing with others about our experience.

Went to see the Jan Serr exhibition: A Painter's Photographs of India. On show from 13 September to 13 December 2019. Free and open to the public on Mon, Wed and Fri (11 am to 4 pm). Had a nice conversation with Mr John Shannon the Director of The Warehouse. The place is very welcoming and holds craftspeople in high esteem. A place not to miss....especially on Milwaukee Gallery Nights.
