Reviews of Jewish Museum Milwaukee
Wendy “Sis” Winkler
A wonderful, educational exhibit, "Brother Can You Spare a Dime." It was the last day so I'm glad I got there.
I also checked out the Museum's ongoing exhibit again that depicts the Jewish experience in Milwaukee as well as across the globe. Of course it's an indescribably sad story, but a story that must be told now and forever.
Everyone should experience the exhibit. It's so informative and arranged in sections of the complete story. Every facet of Jewish life is laid out before your eyes with photos and artifacts and stories.
It's a wonderful museum. Milwaukee is fortunate to have this.
Phil Hurley SJ
The Jews in Space exhibit was really wonderful - a mix of history of Jewish astronomers, astronauts, and science fiction writers and characters. Some in-depth history, and a nice touch of fun and humor. The heavens are telling the glory of God. Live long and prosper.
Ryan Mackman, MBA, MHA
The Jewish Museum of Milwaukee is a wonderful family experience. Learn the history of how many of today's Jewish families arrived in Wisconsin, and then the special rotating exhibits are always fun (such as Jews in Baseball and Jews in Space). Fun, educational, and all for a great price.
Michael Cerda
Great place, very inviting and friendly staff. The exhibits are amazing and very informational, you really learn alot about the Jewish people that came to milwaukee. Also their current Jews in space exhibit is fun to look at and educational. It show cases the people who have made history for the Jewish people in space exploration and science fiction. Also having the movie SPACE BALLS playing was so great.

Small educational museum about the history of the Jewish community in Milwaukee. They also currently have a special exhibit about Japanese internment camps during WW2 and admission is free until May. It is a bit small so I spent around an hour here. Would recommend.
Hannah Hazelberg
Such a great museum. New exhibits throughout the year. Definitely a great place to learn about Jewish history and culture.
Dawn Talos
Great place to learn about Milwaukee and the history.

I've had the opportunity to visit at least 4 times and each time I learn more than my previous visit. It's not a huge museum, but honestly it doesn't need to be--there is a ton of vital, dense information and history. I have brought my mom who was equally impressed. A few months ago, my manager, who lives in San Francisco, was in town. I suggested he visit and he LOVED it. Definitely recommend if you have the time. By the way, I have participated in their Civil Rights History Tour, it is by far the best tour I've had in Milwaukee and I've lived her my entire life.

I'd forgotten Houdini was from Wisconsin. Or rather settled here for a time in his youth. Anyway, the special exhibit gives a nice overview of one of Wisconsin's favorite sons and his life. No Houdini artifacts though and good reminder to this lapsed magic fan of his life and accomplishments. The Houdini themed escape room was fun.
The rest was interesting too with a good overview of the Jewish immigrant experience in Milwaukee, the Jewish community and it's contributions to industry and commerce in Milwaukee and America.
Kristen Bulfer
Parking is located behind the building or on the street. Had a great time exploring when the Houdini exhibit was up!
Ken Wolf
Small but very informative and well laid out museum. The exhibits focus on Milwaukee Jewish history. Docent Ellie was very knowledgeable and personable. I would recommend for Milwaukee history buffs.
Anita Robinson
The facility is absolutely amazing. My students really enjoyed the Holocaust's speaker, who connected the dots because he had first hand account of the devastation he lived. More museum time for the students would be great.
LaFredrick Burns
The staff was so friendly, helpful and accommodating of our large (14) group of young men. The young men learned a lot about the Jewish culture and some African American history from right here in Milwaukee that we didn't know. We look forward to taking another group later this year.
Darryl Morin
A wonderful museum reminding us of history which should never be forgotten.
Sarah Barnard
It is a great place to learn about the Jewish History for Milwaukee. It's small but the special exhibit right now for May 2019 is the Partisan groups for WWII. So glad I went!
Margot Flynn
Good place to find out about the history of the Jewish people in Milwaukee. Went on the Museum Mile day, but admission isn't much other days. Special exhibits also.

Kayleb Foerster
The museum is not large, but you will fill up an afternoon if you take your time through it. Very informative and laid out well. Enjoyed my time there.
Maggie Ley

Noah Domnitz
The JMM is Milwaukee treasure. I can't think of anywhere else in the city where a somewhat limited space can have such an impact. The recent exhibits, including Stitching History (nationally renowned), Chasing Dreams (baseball), Project Mah Jong, and Fabric of Survival keep the museum feeling fresh and command return visits as this place continues to impress. If you live in Milwaukee, you should join; if you are visiting Milwaukee, you should visit. It's a gem of our community. Enjoy.
Zach Wambold
