Reviews of Betty Brinn Children's Museum
Ferretti Farmer
Great place for the kids. Many hands on experiences and the activities were high quality and very well thought out. We were here for a field trip and the kids really enjoyed it. Only feedback would be that the staff still had masks on for some reason and it was hard to hear them.
Dean Hoover
Took my 4-year old granddaughter to the museum, and she had a fantastic time! So many things to do, and the mini-town was awesome! Had an issue with getting the tickets online, but after an email everything worked out just fine! Looking forward to visiting again soon!
Justin Rabbach
Fun for all ages, and great learning by doing opportunities for the kids. Easy parking and access. The Hometown section is basically “how to be an adult” area for kids to explore the “real world” and think about possible careers, etc. Will definitely be back.
FunThings Family
Me and my son absolutely loved this hidden gem. We have always went to discovery world and never came across the street to check this place out until today and we are so glade we did. I would say ages 1 to 8 would be best.
Caitlin Napoleoni
Bring your children here! We went with two 12 month olds and a 5 year old and we had a group of 5 adults. Everyone had a blast. I was worried my 12 month old would be bored and stuck in her stroller because she can't walk yet but she loved every single display! Every display is interactive and thought out so well. We had to drag my 5 year old niece out and promise to return! I cannot recommend Betty Brinn enough!!!!!!

My toddler loves it here. The year pass is a pretty good deal too though we have been getting a pass from the library. I love that there is an under 4 area in the town part so I don’t have to worry about my little guy getting in the way of an older kiddo. He is also a big fan of the giant play train! It’s sweet to know that even as my kids age they can find something of interest.
Mary Siders
Lots of fun, hands-on activities for ages 1ish to 10ish, depending on your child. They have areas that focus on math, science, and art, and some great areas for the ones who love kitchens/grocery stores, busses, motorcycles, and building, as well as areas that fo us on interactions in every day places like the bank and post office. It's all on one floor and they fit a lot into a space that isn't very big.
Brittany McCue
By far one of the best experiences I've had with my kid. It was age appropriate for everyone - even adults! My son couldn't stop smiling and screaming in joy. We arrived and saw a parking structure right away which was a stress reliever. Then we had to bring my son in a stroller and everything was accessable! I had no anxiety about how we were going to move around with my son and if we had to go up stairs. They have an elevator and ramps all the way to the top! The customer service was amazing! They were so nice and I felt so comfortable with them. They were constantly cleaning up after kiddos and answered any questions I had. The only down part is they don't have a cafeteria but they have a coffee shop 10 mins walking down the block and it worked out perfectly! We got something to eat and came right back to play more!
I am beyond thrilled with the service and what they do for these kids. Wish I had something like this when I was a kid!!
Andrea Stein
This place is amazing. I love bringing my kids here and there are so many different activities for them to do. It's nearly impossible to get them to leave!!
Efrem Lirtzman
Took my children (<2 & 4) here for a family day of fun. The whole experience was excellent. The museum has tons of self directed imagination play that kept both kids entertained and engaged for hours. We were able to grab a healthy-ish snack for them at the cafe that met my one child's dietary restrictions.
We were also pleasantly surprised to be there for the museum's New Year's Eve celebration which was a lot of fun.
Overall this was a great experience and we'll definitely be making the drive to visit again.
Ashley Rieckhoff (Pinky)
My 5yr old enjoyed running from one ply area to the next. My husband and I were honestly underwhelmed. I guess it was just so hyped up and it wasn’t...it.
Emma Bollman
My kids (18 months, 3 and 5) all enjoy this museum equally, and I LOVE that they finally added a little cafe!
Angeline Kostelec
We have been here a couple times. We hold a reciprocal membership so it is a discount to get in for us. There is so much for all ages to do and the facility seems well taken care of.
It is set up like a town with a construction site, bank, post office, grocery store, city transit bus, auto mechanic and more. You can direct a news cast and ride on a motorcycle. There's also a younger kids area that's fenced off which is nice.
If you're in the area and want to spend 1 hr or more here, it's a perfect entertainment spot for kids.
Natalie Stasik
Fun for the kids. Only thing that should be changed is the Adult admission. I don't think adults should have to pay so much (or at all). There's nothing for adults to do there except follow and supervise their children.
Emily G
Excellent kids museum with hands on exhibits with learning opportunities for kids of all ages. Little kids and big kids will enjoy it! First floor museum near the river front. Highly recommend! We spent about 2 hours here, but could have stayed longer!
Dan
Neat place to spend a few hours with you kids. My 1 year old daughter and 3 year old son enjoyed it. They have a separate area for young kids that my daughter enjoyed crawling around in. This is a great asset to the city of Milwaukee. We will be back soon!
Bethany
This was Soo cool!! My 3 year old and 1 year old loved it! They could have easily spent the whole day playing. There are many things for all different age groups. It was a fun visit and we will probably be back again.
Amelia Fehlen
Very fun place my sister (3 years old) had fun here for over 4 hrs. Would highly recommend. Make sure to bring socks as some areas require kiddos to take their shoes off and wear socks only.
Star S
Interactive with different stations. However, with that big of a space, why is only one floor utilized? We got done with it in less than 2 hours and had a 4 year old with us. Adding more into that building would definitely make the experience better. Also want to add that a lot of the exhibits that have buttons for sounds or activations, most of them do not work. Those should probably be checked and serviced.
Whitney Breweur
Everything is so thought out here. There are things to build with, climb on, arts & crafts, occupational pretend play, and more. There were kids of all ages there and plenty of things to keep them all entertained. The staff was always tidying up behind the scenes and making sure everything stayed in its place to maximize the fun. We will definitely be making a trip back!
Charonda Oliphant
Getting into the place was a little weird if you don't fully know where you're going. Once inside, my kids (6 and under) really enjoyed themselves. Plenty of different activities. I'd suggest going when it's not super busy.
Braden Christensen
This place is so much fun! There are so many things for the kids to do it's impossible that they won't find something they like. My 3 year old and 16 month old loved everything! My only recommendation would be to try and go during the week because it gets really busy on the weekends.
Selena Valdiviezo
Great place to take kids specially in the winter. Over 20 activities and play areas. Weekends are packed. Activities for kids 10 and under. Everything is nice and clean including the bathrooms. Staff are nice and friendly. Just wish they sold food and snacks for kids.
Anna Schmidt
It’s a nice place for kids to play indoors, but it gets frustrating. They have random closings and specialized play times that make it difficult to come here on a whim, it has to be a more planned activity which makes it harder to come as often as we would like. If you are going to have a free community day, then just have a free community day, not half days with random 30 minutes of closing throughout.
Mike Fickau
Very fun place. Crowded but still room to move around and room for the kids to play at everything they wanted to play. Big with lots of fun and different things to do. Great staff too
Mario Crivello
Ignore the bad reviews. Notice they aren’t written by CHILDREN. I’ve taken my two daughters, 2yrs and 7yrs, eight times this year, and we have tons of fun every time. We’ve brought five different friends, and all had a blast. To say things are “worn down” is cynical. They are PLAYED WITH. To say that you’re disappointed its only on one level is short sighted, my kids spend lots of time in each section. They rotate some areas as well. We have a membership and we squeezed every bit of value out of it. If you think there’s a “better” place thats comparable to Betty Brinns, go there instead, more fake grocery shopping for us.
Jenny Patten
Really cute and lots of great play places for my little one. Loved that it was connected to a parking garage so we didn’t have to go out in the cold. Did have to keep a close eye on my little one as the older kids were running all over and didn’t want her to get knocked over.
Jonathan Alfuth
Great childrens museum. We’ve been here a few times over the years and we always appreciate the variety as well as some of the rotating exhibits. Definitely recommend for families!
Ted & Ellie Allen
It was super busy and very confusing for many people which line to go in when entering and not very stroller friendly for a childrens museum! So busy and packed it was hard to have fun.
Raven J.
Went here with my son and sister. It became kind of a tradition. He always has fun and enjoys the new setups. Always makes a friend or two when he goes! :)
Ricky Haight
We loved it. Not super big but jam packed with things for the kiddos to do. I brought 18months all 3 5 7 10 19. All enjoyed and had a blast. Took us 2ish hours to be content as parents. Kids didn't want to leave haha.
Brett Maple
Great experience! Very easy to park and get into the museum, recommend using the Michigan Ave parking entrance. They offer enough activities to keep you there a whole day and you will still have to come back for the other half your kids didn't get to. We were extremely grateful for the complimentary pass for our special needs child, the facility is safe for kids of all age and capabilities. Highly recommend!
Juniar Tjoeng
First time there after hearing a LOT about it.
Pros:
- Huge occupational pretend play (and mostly accurate to real occupation!)
- Loads of options to share so if something is busy, there's ALWAYS another option
- Very clean. Not one moment did I ever NOT see a staff member disinfecting everything
Cons:
- Lots of things are missing. They were little things that belong to an occupation or some sort so it disrupts the pretend game for a moment when they're expecting things to be there
- a lot of buttons and switches do not work
- sounds are very quiet
I'd recommend this place anyways with or without the cons. There's good to the cons too. Not having an item pushes a child to problem solve and extend their pretend game. Excellent overall
Tiffani Unangst
Pretty basic museum. Outdated compared to other kids museums across the US. Friendly staff. Beautiful views of Lake Michigan. EasyParking & was discounted after entering which is a bonus.
Aaron Krytus
Amazing! I have been to several children's museums. This one might be one of my favorite because it seems more practical to teaching about real life living to children.
This isn't the biggest children's museum I've been to however there are so many different activities to do that you can spend hours here.
I have 4 kids from 2-10 and they all had a great time.
The price for admission is the same for adults and kids but compared to other children museums is more than fair.
Not a whole lot for the parents to do, but parents can teach their kids.
There is a parking garage that is in walking distance and they will give you $3 off your parking.
Clare Boyle
I think that the hands on experience with different occupations and ways of learning are super for children, ages 3 and older. My grandson is 1 1/2 and he was limited on what he could do independently. There was one small area of activities for younger children and he could partake in some of the older stations with assistance. His age-appropriate section was not much different than going to a children's play center and park for the added expense. He liked more of the older children areas with help. I will wait and take him again when he is a little older.
Chuck Poat
Really neat place for kids. Took my grandson, he's two and a half. There were kids from his age up to about 7 or 8.
MaiLia
Amazing place! My son absolutely loved it, there is so much to do! Parents, be prepared to be as exhausted as your child(ren) lol. Like many other children my son did not want to leave. I particularly enjoyed the workforce area, and the small grocery store, it really gave my son a sense of independence. It was our first time, I found that the place was a bit hard to find, I used GPS, drove around to the back to find. Parking structure $8 with $2 discount once validated (non- member). Went on a Saturday, park on street if possible. We did not purchase products on inside. Good times.
Tenia Ruffin
Such a cute place to visit with the little ones. Going towards the end of the day on a Monday was very low-key. I highly recommend for a rainy day or even just a fun event for the family.
Anna Hayward
The kids had so much fun we had to come back after lunch. I appreciated that they have staff checking on things, helping stuff stay clean and organized. There were so many hands on, super fun exhibits that felt relevant to helping kids figure out the world around them. Plus the parking is pretty convenient and you get a museum sticker to keep your rate affordable.
William Vanderbilt
A great experience with so many activities for children of all ages. We spent much more time at the museum than expected.
VL Rydberg
Winter is upon us and here everyone can be active and dry. This was such a fun day. We took our neighbor's granddaughter with the use of all pass from the New Berlin Public Library. But Betty Brinn also has a free night Thursday sponsored by Northwestern Mutual Life. There were so many activities to do this three-year-old never got bored and neither did the 80 year old. It's set up so conveniently for people who would use Walkers or wheelchairs or motor scooters. It also has a picnic area along with the ability to purchase Foods dinner healthy and prepared by Sendik's another contributor to the Brady Brim. They feature a full City with a bank a TV station post office real estate office construction of building a new house re-roofing and so many other valuable life skills and that was just the first area. The next area was all about communication and then the next year I hear you're after that it's about science and the periodic table. The center is very clean well-maintained I'm very helpful staff walking the floor from to assist you. Admission
Adults and children age 1 and older: $9
Seniors (age 55 and older): $8
Children younger than 1 year: Free
Out-of-State Visitors: $1 more per person
Children must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or older) at all times during their visit. All adults must be accompanied by a child.

My granddaughter loved it. Lots to do!!! Fun! Even the one year had so much fun she pooped out
Marta Leaf
Great place for young kids with plenty to keep them busy. Great location for exploring the downtown area - right along the avenue! From the interactive bug education outdoor patio area there is a beautiful view of the lake and Callatrava at the Milwaukee Art Museum. It's on the bus line, so you can save time and money finding parking.
Interactive, educational and of course, FUN! Brought my nephew here and had a few hours of fun and learning for under $20. There was also a play area for very young/toddlers to play - we didn't check out that area since he's not in the age/size range.
The current changing exhibit was all Mr. Potato Head. There was a station with every imaginable part, even star wars themed items, to create your own Mr. (or Miss) Potato Head. There was also a space station and archeological dig area in the Potato Head section.
One area has a town that the kids can run! Complete with a post office, car repair shop, bank, and even a grocery store where kids can explore their passions as they learn. Everything is set up so kids can work together in whichever role they choose. They can be a bank teller, "repair" a car, deliver mail, grocery shop or take a relaxing ride on their Harley.
You must have a child with you to visit. There is a number you can contact if there is any special arrangements that may need to be requested for an adult that is not with a child. I assume it's for everyone's safety.
There are plenty of seats for adults with great views of all the action. I never once lost sight of my little ward but was still able to give him the space to explore.
Highly recommended.
meg sprecksel
Such a wonderful time! I took my niece (3) and my son (10) and they played for 2 hours without getting bored. There is so much for them to play with and explore! Admission is $9/ea, but I felt it was worth it.
Mary Alvarado
This is a really fun place for younger kids. There is too much to do in one day even! We do the yearly membership and go every other week or so and my daughter treats it like a new place every time. There’s so many fun play exhibits and a play place inside. Really great for creative and active play alike.
andy rob
It was alright... Just seems more like a giant kids playground than a museum. Kids had a blast
Rosario Garcia
My toddler and I visited this museum unexpectedly. I am so happy I did. He had so much fun. He didn’t care for the toddler section. He loved everything with buttons and sounds. Next time I visit Milwaukee again I am definitely visiting this place. I might have to purchase 2 hours for him.
Rochel Johnson
My two year old loved it here. She adored the under ground aquarium. She had a blast here.
PIP Tomato
A great place for kids of any age! My three month old loved all the colors, lights, and ‘big kids’ running around while my two year old enjoyed every single station he could get his hands on. We arrived right after they opened on a Wednesday morning and found it easy to enjoy the museum, even with a local school’s field trip being there too. We really enjoyed the little toddler section. All in all, we spent about 4 hours and had only gone through around 60% of the whole museum. We will definitely be returning to Betty Brinn Children’s Museum the next time we visit Wisconsin.
tzipi Gnatt
So much fun for kids! My 3 yo and 1.5 loved it!
Alyaa Pizarro
It’s was so nice so much fun 🤩 …
Kristin N
Lots of great hands on play for young kids. The 4 year old loves it. Downsides: no food or beverage available, make sure to bring your own. Very few to no quiet areas for nursing moms and baby (at least during events).
LoveMyFam_Jen
Finally they are back open. Its open for members right now and I think for none members on the 20th of May. Nice museum for kids to learn, play and be creative. My kids always enjoy it.
Vivian Rinehart
This was an awesome experience! My grandson had so much fun. Provided many learning opportunities. However many of the exhibits were in need of repairs.
The sanitation of all exhibits was amazing with so many children and parents running around. Good job!!
dox dox
The kids, ages 1 to 7, had a great time! It's perfect for any group with kids ages 3 to 10. The older kids and adults will also have a great time hosting the children. It may seem a little pricey, but there's a lot to do and ample staff to make sure everything goes well. You've got to make the trip and decide for yourself how much fun this is!
Christopher Carstensen
Very awesome layout of such a variety of things for kids to do. It's like a play pretend wonderland. So many fun activities for your kid to do, learning opportunities, not to exercise running around to all the different stations. Most certainly will be returning in the future.
Melissa Sabel
A beautiful educational place that my children greatly adore. We love having a membership here!
Alison White
My kids love this museum. There is an entire section for kids 5 and younger. We were here for 3 hours and they still didn't want to leave!
Kristina Marie
Definitely for kids younger than mine but a nice place to spend a little time. We still had fun. Smaller than I expected for Milwaukee.
Henri Sallis
This place is Amazing! I took my 2 yr old granddaughter we were in town for a photo shoot for Khols and needed something to do with our gown time.Hours of endless learning fun!
Terri Bresler
Was a neat place to visit. Seemed designed with younger kids in mind. LOVED seeing all the staff members disinfecting surfaces all over throughout our entire visit! Not much to offer in the souvenir shop that had the name(1water bottle and tiny t-shirts)...mostly expensive toys you can buy anywhere.
David Steinbrenner
Great place to get the kids away from the video games on a gloom/rainy day. Lots for them to do. Very interactive. Friendly staff.
Jennifer Slowinski
My kids wanted to go "one last time" because they have actually outgrown this museum. There are a few really nice editions that are educational and encouraging kids to read. A place to bring toddlers on a cold winter day. We have great memories from when they were little which is awesome.
Molly Anderer
We had a blast! It's the perfect size to feel safe letting your little one run around, but not so small that everyone is fighting to share. Tons of activities, a special area for tots under 4, and a HUGE opportunity for a lot of learning!
Rhegan Stansbury
We love children's museums and I appreciate how this one had some different things we aren't used to seeing. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Sneha Chandrika
Best option for hosting a children's event or party. Organized my nephew's birthday party. The kids enjoyed the amphitheatre set up of the room and even though hosting the event for a certain time period, guests in the party have free access to the museum all day long. Interesting and educative options for the kids to learn and grasp new things. Highly recommended for all parents and also for organizing affordable events.
Lena Stumper
Absolutely delightful. For $11-12 each, we kept a group of 2-11 year olds occupied for 2.5 hours with no complaints. Their pretend "city" with all of the stores and jobs is fantastic, with many things to do.
It is also right down on the waterfront, with lots of space to picnic if the weather is right.
J R
Our boys love it here. Can spend all day playing and running around. If you have young ones you gotta take em.
GodsChild B4TheWomb
Went for the first time on my eldest daughter's field trip. I really enjoyed myself so much to the point I will be taking all four of my kids the very next day. My son will fall in love with the vehicles. His twin sister will fall in love with the pretend play food and stores. My eldest will fall in love with everything and so will my eight year old. I highly recommend this place!
Carlos Montalvo
This place looks normal from the outside but it had a ton of really cool physics based games. The small City was also really neat as well. You could easily spend half a day here.
Maria Paschenko
A great place for kids. we spent there over 3hrs and they wanted more
Lyndsay Nejdlik
My daughter always has fun there. Some things need fixing/updating in the hometown area. The forest ranger area is really nice. Also the "museum for all" rate is much appreciated! Will definitely come here again.
Kimberly Larson
Been coming here for years. I can't say enough good things about it. Always so clean and the workers are kind. Love the rotating exhibits!
Virgil Schwake
Took three kids here ranging from 1.5 to 7 years old and they all had a blast. Well worth a stop if you have kids (or are a kid at heart!)
Lisa Tapp
Love this place! My grandchildren look forward to going to the museum often. Always something new to see and do!
Natalie Allen
Awesome place for the family to learn while having interactive fun! My G-babies love Betty Brinn!
Mary Kate Holter
Fun play museum for kids of all ages. I especially loved the under 4 area for my toddlers!
Nadia Jovanovic
I have been talking my children to the kids museum for the past 3 years and every time they cannot get enough. The activities are constantly updated and are so much fun. My daughter loved being a doctor this time around!
Julie Burton
I am disappointed with this children's museum. When I looked it states for children 10 and under. We have
an almost 10 and just turned 7. The 7 year old has found some things to keep her interested but really apart from a few craft related items and the science city there is little for the older child. We have been to 2 other children's museums and would feel they would be appropriate for up to 10. I feel it needs some updating too. For younger children it would be great.
Aric Lulloff
It is a fun place for kids and my girls got their energy out, however I went with 4 stars as some exhibits seemed a bit low-effort. Also as a nit pick in case they read these, your periodic table has sodium listed incorrectly as lithium, just fyi.
Dan K
Lots of fun activities and interactive toys for kids. Considering what a zoo it can be it was impressive that so many "loose piece" interactive pieces were in their correct places. Lots of sanitizer and "dirty toy" areas available. Mask policy enforced and despite a packed Sunday morning we felt comfortable taking our 2yo. 5 star for kids, 4 star for adults....was disappointed by the number of "out of order" activities. The kids had no idea though
Rob Woods
Spent the afternoon here and it was a fine experience for the kids. It is however very small (maybe a dozen areas?) and most importantly it wasn’t a museum because they dont teach anything there. It is an occupational playground with many missed lessons: a grocery store that doesnt teach about weights and measures, a tv studio and green screen that doesnt teach about signal transmissions or how anything works, an auto shop that doesnt teAch about engines.
If they would insert even a tiny bit of education it could be considered a museum, but as said, its an occupational playground.
Jim Lembke
Simply amazing...so much to do and so we'll maintained. Can't wait to go back.
S Gray
Great for small children who still enjoy pretending. My 14 month old enjoyed all the activities. I’d guess that children over the age of 10 are going to lose interest in the place very quickly or find the toys inaccessible.
Ashley Montgomery
I brought my 1.5 year old daughter here for the first time on one of the free days. There were so many activities for her age and she had an absolute blast! I plan to bring my 3 year old son soon as well! I do wish they had a childrens friendly food court here though! That would make the trip that much more enjoyable!
payam karbassi
Super fun and educational for kids… their play sets need some maintenance though.
Alexandra Stark
What a wonderful place for children! So much to explore and much fun to have!
Dawn Robertson
Lots of stuff for my grandson to do. I'd recommend not coming on Saturday just extra busy. Masks are required and there is no place to get something to drink besides a water fountain and no beverages allowed in so keep that in mind. Overall we had a good time and would go back.
Jessica Lynn Mould
Be prepared for a lot of school groups that visit. They come through in large batches and sort of take over different sections so we try to move around opposit of what they do. Absolutely love going there I would say the oldest age would be somewhere around six.
Sara Arendt
Our girls just love this place! So many different things to keep them active and engaged.
Kaylene M.
This is a great place to go and let your kids get their energy out. Lots of things to do and arts and crafts. We were there for about 3 hours and the kids could have kept going! Relatively inexpensive.
Bryan Gatlin
Great place for family. The staff is warm and friendly and there’s plenty of options for the kids to do many fun projects!
Greg Biz
The Betty brinn children's museum was warm and friendly. Geared toward younger ages but still very beneficial. They have a wide range of activities and the pricing is fair. Parking was a little complicated but stay to the South West of the lot and take an elevator right into the museum.
Elisabeth McDaniels
Great place to take kids of all ages. The toddler area had lots of fun activities and a gate which was super helpful. We spent 3 hours here playing and burning off energy on a rainy day.
Carolyn McCarthy (Seven)
This place is amazing! I had to drag my kids out kicking and screaming at close.
Shyam Patel
We visited there on Thursday(the third Thursday of every month from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is FREE). My two-year-old daughter enjoyed it a lot. Met there lot of people and it was really fun
Queen Idgad
Love the free days for penny pinchers like ourselves. My kiddos had a blast. Much appreciated.
Donna Lawrence (DLAW2EXP)
We had a great time and the kids love this Museum.
Dawn Stewart
Lots of fun stuff in the pretend areas. The “ball” areas were more frustrating than informative or fun.
Free use of socks was great though.
Lataivia Taylor
Very clean facility, my 21 month old enjoyed himself. They do military discounts and I only paid 13$ for myself and son.
T T
Had our first visit with our 1yr 8month old, and we walked out with a membership!
Has a nice sized area for children 4 and under... With a LARGE area with multiple sections with things to do.
Lots of kids of all ages to interact with.
Very safe place!
Can't complain about cleanliness really, just a few areas that seem to be over looked... Nothing worse than my house ive forgotten about im sure lol.
We can see this being a multiple times a month thing, coming from ozaukee co!
Ashley Rodriguez
What a great children's museum! Lots of space - not too crowded. Was lucky enough to have the place almost to ourselves during a midweek visit. Lots of activities and subjects to entertain and teach children.
Michelle Lee
Our kids love coming to this place, but our visit today was disappointing. So many exhibits malfunctioning or not working at all. If one pays for an admission, it would be great to be able for the kids to have a full experience. An overall great environment for kids, just wish that upkeep was a little better.
Alice Smith-Goeke
Way more stuff than I expected. 7 year old Kids loved it.
John Ramthun
Fun place for children and parents to learn and plan. Had a hard time leaving. Just wanted to stay longer.
Eric Willett
Oh man, this was one of our favorite places to visit in Milwaukee! So fun for kids of all ages (my 30-something year old husban had a blast). Probably best for 12 and under as they state. Rotating crafting exhibit was very cool and sounds like they have some great new exhibits coming up soon. Highly recommend; will definitely be going back!
Katie Kocan
Not huge but definitely worth the trip! Just remember to eat before you come or pack a lunch! I reccomend for kids of all ages.
Yesy Yesenia
A great place for smaller kids to explore and play.
luz vch
Super fun place for the kids :D
Carol Thiel
So much fun! Our grandson is 4.5 and there were many, many things for him to engage in and he loved it! We had gone to Discovery World, which we felt is really geared to older children, but felt for his age, Betty Brinn was perfect.
R D
It was a fantastic pp lace to enjoy a Sunday morning. My only issue was that 1 to 4 year olds were playing in the tunnels/slide area and parents were yelling at my older children (9) to watch out for their babies. The babies have their own little area and we ended up leaving because my children were made to feel like they weren't allowed to play. There should be age recommendations posted in tht area.
Jamie Perez
Very fun, for toddlers definitely stay in the first half of the loop. There is a gate in the corner to a separate section for 4 and under. Everything in the second half is advanced science content for older kids. If you go in right away in the morning, try doing things out of order to avoid the crowd.
Nicole “Erd” Herriges
We've been coming to the Betty Brinn Children's Museum since my son was 2. He's now 5 and still loves it. And the employees have never been nothing but kind!
Peter Scotterson82
My family go to place to let our twins run off their energy. Very clean, safe and it's a great place to meet other like minded parents . As an older dad, I consider myself seasoned in giving my girls the best . This place always delivers.
Nitra J_Live
Great place to take kids to have fun. There a lot of hands on activities
Pretty Winter
I took my son here on Thursday and he absolutely loved it, it was so much to do there he learned some new things and met new friends it is a great place to take your kids highly recommended.
James Aderman
Betty Brinn is always a favorite adventure for my grade school grandkids. There's more than enough to do before they run out of steam.
Allyssa Lighthart
Loved this museum as a kid! And now I love getting to watch the little ones in my life enjoy it too. So many cool, hands-on exhibits. There’s even an area exclusively for pre-schoolers/toddlers!
Rachael Bush
Another successful trip to Betty Brinn! My boys and I had a great time. The staff was friendly and the museum was in tip top shape.
mikeinkaptenemo
It was fun for my kids. The vast majority of the activities there seem to be focused around the preschool/kindergarten school age kids, with some exhibits for older kids. The science area was pretty cool. Both of my kids really enjoyed the computer "coding" station. I would definitely recommend this place if your children are between 4-10. Anything older and the kids might get kind of bored.
Daniel Davis
So much to do in such a small space. Worth every dollar good way to burn off so energy for the kids. If your kid is mobile then they can find something to do here. You could easily spend half a day here playing.
Connie Bledsoe
My Grandsons absolutely love visiting the Betty Brinn Children's Museum. And I love watching them interact with the various learning stations, so much to the point that I purchased a family membership. Now we can visit on I regular basis to help mold their little minds into what their future brings.
Vanna Martinez
Bummer the schedule is different due to lack of staff open Thursday -Sunday. Other then that my daughter enjoyed her time at Betty Brinn. I like how they change the exhibit rooms. Right now its space. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Trevor Jon
My 2 year old loves it. We were there for an hour "shopping" in the fake grocery store.
Ashley Smith
Awesome place. Highly recommend. Areas that are suitable for a wide range of kids. Also great that it doesn't break the bank! Also yay science!!
Jamila Matkawala
It was quite nice place for kids..3-4hrs atleast to fully use your entry fee..little untidy, not because of staff but people take items very casually here and when kids throw it,they don't bother to pick it up n keep it on place..
Sanitization stations on all nook n corner amazing..
Staff is very gentle and soft-spoken to kids.
They have small activities from time to time..
Alexis Miller
This place was only Okay in my opinion. Many of the hands-on toys/machines seemed old and didn't work as well as it was supposed to. I appreciate what this museum is all about, but everything needs an update and some remodeling done. We were here on a Thursday night and it got pretty crowded. It would be nice if there could be more management done about young children/toddlers running around on their own. Some kids are just trying to have fun while there's other kids running wild and destroying things without their parents around. Otherwise parking was easy. Front desk was friendly and welcoming.
Yvette
What a great place for inquisitive children of all ages. Gave our grandson a membership for his one year birthday and wondered if there would be things for his age group to enjoy. His first visit at 15 months was a huge success. He loved it and tons for him to do and things to interact with. Many more visits to come to enjoy. Highly recommend!
Nathan Malinski
Wish they had something like this when I was young. The amount of activities and play areas is extremely impressive, and is suitable for a wide range of kids. Staff is friendly and the museum is clean and well maintained.
Cindy Cutler
Loved this place. Very reasonably priced. My grandson had a great time.
Denise B. Klinkner
We went on a rainy day and still had enough space to socially distance toddlers. My youngest (2) loved it but so did my 9, 11, and 14 yo, if only entertained by the youngest.
Sara Fierst
So much fun! Great place to bring kids and let them play and explore. There is a separate, gates area just for toddlers. This is perfect if you have a runner. They change exhibits often so there is always something new. They aren't as big as some other children's museums but their price is very reasonable. I recommend a membership, it's worth it. You do have to pay for parking so keep that in mind. My only complaint is that there isn't a cafe. Make sure to pack a lunch or snacks.
kele schneller
Great place for the kids to have fun. Probably cheaper to be a member if you plan on visiting a few times.
Amy Repati
Art area needs to be a bit more free spirited. Good mix for older and younger kids.
Edgar Rivera
So much fun for kids of all ages. Took my 1 and 4 year old. Both had a blast
Juan Antonio Rodríguez
Great place for the kids to learn and socialize.
Jennifer S
Wonderful experience! So many hands on activities for the little ones, I even found myself exploring some of the exhibits 😊 absolutely take your child here, they will be occupied for hours!! …
Akpan Blake
Love it love it love it my kids almost never want to go home and I get in free had a
Noel Bettinger
We got a membership here because it's the best value and we plan on coming back!
Carmelo Alvarado
My daughter loved it so much and I was so happy to her be able to run around and play. I loved this this place as a kid and now my daughter loves it too.
Jenn
Great place for young kids they had a blast
Sami G
This place is amazing! I took my son and his cousins and they had the best time. From playing in the shopping/work area, to the nature area, to the big like factory-esque area, to the ramps with the golf balls, and the big play place. They were just thrilled. We went on a free night but the prices are so reasonable that we are planning on doing a day trip as well. Great for kids to be active and learn indoors on crummy days. Loved it!
Jaime Fields
I've been taking my children here since 2004, and they love it. My teenage son has fond memories of time spent playing with the various sets, but my daughter is young enough to still go. She begs me all the time to take her, and it's hard to get her to leave when it's time to go. The admission price is pretty good and the different sets are educational, interactive, and so cool. It's always changing, too. Every time we go, it's so different, but always the kids have really enjoyed themselves. It's so clean inside, which must be hard with all those small toys. Parking is easy, and you can get your ticket validated which gives you $2 off. The walk from the car to the building was all indoors, which I appreciated since it was well below zero outside. Overall, it was a great experience!
Rebecca Ramirez
Really nice museum and family friendly. Most definitely will go here again. My son had a really fun time
Brianna Wallace
My kids and I really enjoyed this museum. I’ve been to a few children’s museums here and there but I think this one was the best. We were here for a couple hours and still didn’t get a chance to see everything. I think there’s things for every single age (from 1 year up)! My daughter is 18 months and my son is almost 4 and both of them had a blast. The entire place is well taken care of and there is such a variety of things to learn/do. Plus, I’ve found there’s really not too much kid-friendly things to do in Milwaukee so I’m so thankful we found this. Thank you for a great time!
Caroline Brown
We went here for a class field trip. My daughter and her friends had a ton of fun!
Engjellushe Kupi
My son has a blast here. Thinking about getting the membership. I would only suggest that some of the games need some updates or maybe upgrade some because they are missing parts or batteries. They dint all work the way they are supposed to.
Y Buk
So many fun things to do for kids of all ages. Worth the price and our children never want to leave.
Jessie King
Great place for my little children. They love coming here..
Nicole Liska Trujillo
Lots of hands on experiences. My son enjoyed the pizza shop and being a transit bus driver.
Erin Sons
We came yesterday, as we had a friend with her baby from out of town. Had a blast, clean, obviously the longer we were there the more packed it became. Our little 16 month old loves the slide area and had a blast. Loved how it was baby gated off so nobody could run off. The staff was super friendly.
Maverick Brown
My son loved it . I think there was too much learning in one area for him . He really enjoyed playin with the other kids .
Bill Boaz
The perfect children's museum for the little kids (<10yrs).
Jimmy Tam
Lots of puzzles and interactive displays for kids.
Brad Cramer
This is a review from the perspective of my (almost) 3 year old daughter:
I love coming here. There are many interactive play stations set up with diversity in mind, from a micro community with a post office, grocery store, bank, auto-repair shop... I have a lot of fun here. I like the art/creativity workshops they put on. I also love the area where there's a life-sized board game about living a healthy life-style... especially the area with the music buttons and the dance floor.
Candace Carter
I loved this museum and so did my kids. They had an awesome time exploring each of the areas (next time we'll go earlier so they have more time to play). I like the set up and how the kids can learn about different topics in a hands-on way.
Russ Brown
Great place to take kids for an on hands experience to learn about science in a fun way. Our Grandkids had a ball as we did watching them going from one area of the building to the next. Two hours went by very quickly. Recommend that a visit is well worth the time.
Simone Hayes
Me and the kids always love this place. Its the perfect place for kids all ages. We made it just in time for the New Years Ball Drop at noon. I had to drag my two year old out screaming but its always worth the good time she has.
Laura Kuehl
I can’t give this 1 star, because my kids had a blast, but we were seriously frustrated with the service and how run down the place was. First, we looked into whether or not our museum membership would transfer and this would be free. They are a program participant - so it should have been. They couldn’t figure it out, so we had to pay. It wasn’t a huge deal. They told us they’d email the tech people since “so many people have been complaining.” We were completely respectful - $20 isn’t a problem. When we showed them why we knew they were program participants the manager gave us a ton of attitude (she was already working the front desk). We had already paid without complaint, there was no need for attitude.
The building itself was run down. Many of the exhibits were not working or partially not working. Many had missing pieces.
While we certainly won’t be back the next time we’re down in the area, (Discovery World is MUCH bigger and much better run) my kids all enjoyed their time there and didn’t notice the same things we did.
julie tapay
Great place to run and play. It would have benefitted from more staff, the ones that were there didn't maintain the stations very well. Otherwise a great place to visit, my son loved every minute, especially the noise parade
Will Hempel, PhD
The museum is a delightful way to entertain a 2 yr grandchild. Just let her explore on her own timeline. Many exhibits are "geared" to her age level and development. She consumed her time in the children's park. She was just delighted to play by herself, while we sat and watch her learn different ways to approach things. A great place to observe her learn how to discover herself. There are many other areas focused on different age levels, and it will be nice to watch her grow into theses areas of discovery.
Candace Letcher
We took my 3 year great niece and she LOVED IT!! So many fun things to do AND the adults loved it too!
Michelle Valdez
My kids and I have always loved this place. It's so much fun for small children.
Andrew KPro
Great place to take your kids to learn and have fun! There are two levels/floors to explore! There is many exhibits that are hands-on for them have fun with! See my pictures to see the variety! it's great for ages 2 and up. They have a nice little gift shop on the second level, and even have a picnic tables on the first level for parents who bring a lunch with to eat there. The cost is very reasonable: $8 per person. There is even an attached parking garage so you don't have to walk outside. Costs $8, but less if you are a member.
Sholom Munitz
Kids had a great time! There were many different opportunities for the children to explore. There were also some new exhibits that were cool. The kids loved the baseball one where they ran their fastest and had their speed clocked. Unfortunately there were also many areas in need of repair. Hopefully next time everything will be working as it should.
Collin Schmidt
It was ok. Smaller and more expensive than other children's museums in the Midwest. It wasn't bad at all.
Jessica Sachs
It's a great place to visit at least once, but I think that some of the exhibits could benefit from an update. The day we were there the museum wasn't very busy but yet many items seemed out of place in the exhibit or missing from the area all together. My daughter was looking forward to going into the craft area, which did not open during our visit despite hours being posted on the door suggesting that it should be open.
Marisa M
I have a membership here so we have been going quite often. My children love it here! There are so many different things for children of all ages to do. My son has ASD and SPD so this is a great place for him to learn and it's very sensory friendly. My daughter is 9 and she also finds activities here that interest her and teach her as well. It's very inclusive. They're also open on the weekends which is a huge plus since my daughter goes to school and cannot always go on a school night since they are only opened until 5pm.
Katie Knutson
The price is a bit steep since you have to pay for kids and adults, but it was a fun and unique place to spend a few hours. There was an area specifically for kids 4 and under which was great for the 2-year old we brought. The giant train with dials and a horn seemed to be a favorite for many. The museum is basically a bunch of educational toys (some extremely sophisticated) and many interactive science type toys that looked fun for elementary aged kids. Several activities weren't set up or were broken. It seemed like they were prepared to lead groups of older kids through the activities. We didn't witness this, but if it happens, that would be the way to do it. Lots of signs and words explaining things but the kids weren't interested in reading them on their own - they seemed to prefer a more unorganized free play approach, probably because that's what they felt that they had.
Kelly Wuhrmann
I have kids 8, 6, and 3 and all love this place. It can get a bit crazy depending on how many children are there but seems that there are enough activities for everyone so isn't typically a problem. There is always a room that changes, which can give it a fresh feel when you go back.
Rebecca Acton
Great place to take your kids to let them explore all kinds of amazing things. They even have a toddler section. My kids loved it. My only caveat is that you have to keep a close eye on your kids because there are winding hallways and lots of other kids. They can be out of your sight in seconds.
Ben Page
We loved exploring the museum and the number of different, imaginative spaces for play had us lost for hours! There is a cool local flare to many of the "career" themed places, and ample opportunity for learning and different activities to suit all kinds of children. I recommend arriving early to beat the crowds, as it was much easier to move about and enjoy. You can pack a picnic lunch and take it in the lobby.
Evelyn Berg
Love the concept of the museum, some use some improvements. Some toys are broken, very old. But, perfect for kids between 1 and 12, my son is almost 2 and loves to go. Membership is worth it if you plan on going more than three times a year.
Laura Berken
My 3 year old son had a great time and spent awhile there but the equipment is old and warn, with some broken. It was a great experience and the service was great but not worth the amount paid.
Sawyer Iles
We could have spent days here! So much fun! Seemed perfect for ages 3-8, but my one year old had a blast and saw many middle schoolers having fun too! I wonder though how often everything gets cleaned 🤔🤔. …
Ryan Ulm
This place has a decent blend of staple, static exhibits: motorcycles, bus, grocery store, construction zone, tube and tunnel system, and a regularly rotating array of seasonal activities (the baseball exhibits were great over summer of '19). Depending on when you go, sometimes the seasonal setup is a little light, but kids love it, it's usually clean and organized, and parking is cheap with museum admission (just remember to pay for parking when paying for admission).
Ada Hanson
It turns out our ASTC reciprocal memberships from home were valid here and we wanted our 18 month old to get some activity in before nap time so we dropped in. This is a pretty cool little museum on the upper floors of the Miller Pavilion. It's not super large but it makes excellent use of the space. There are a few regions in the museum (science, language, town, and a "maker" space), all of which were getting pretty good use when we were there. The thing we appreciated was the "Pocket Park", which was a 4 and under specific area where we could let our toddler explore and have fun as well as interact with a number of other kids who also seemed to be in the pre-nap-time crazies. Really excellent if you are traveling with small children for this area, and probably even better for the larger kids
Eric Heintz
A fun place to take your kids and entertain them for hours! I even had a blast as well! A nice get away from the daily grind of work and life. Definitely recommend you stop by and visit! It is located downtown so parking may be an issue, but there is a garage located there if you so choose.
YolandaIs Seeking KnowledgeThomas
Very nice place for 3 to 7 or 8. The inner workings of many things lie here, awaiting your child's reaction. Despite it being downtown, parking was not an issue and the walk was quite picturesque. Be prepared to do a lot of explaining to the little ones- there is much for them to get an understanding of
Sara Morey
Would love if there were more sanitizing stations, water bottle fill up stations and a food place on site. Hangry children made for an early exit.
Alice Baker
We had an awesome time. Tina at the front desk was so cool and really helpful on info about the museum and surrounding city area. The museum is amazing and the kids had so much fun. Hands down the best children's museum ever.
Colleen Mutchler
Thank you groupon for the deal. Wish there was more physical things to do but it was fun. My monkeys wanted to climb more
Placido Martinez III
My kids love this place and as do I. There always changing and adding something new. My kids really like the crafts they get to make and take home. They really get excited about the fact “we get to make AND take it home.” Thank you guys for always making it a fun and memorable time for us.
Heidi Boyke
We had a deal for half price, so for us, it was a sweet deal. Parking wasn't the easiest, we didn't know where to walk from the ramp we parked in. But the museum itself is very cute, TONS of different stuff for kids to play with. Can walk through the same "exhibit" a few times and find something new about it each time. My kids' favorites are the pretend city bus and the grocery store, but there's only one checkout lane so it's a constant fight between a bunch of kids who is going to be the "beeper!" Nice separate area for eating inside, no food available there besides bagged snacks so bring a bag lunch - lockers are free, you just have to give them your drivers license.
Jake Baldwin
I cannot recommend this place enough. If you live nearby and can get out here at least 3-4 times a year; buy a membership. Just going 3 times will pay for itself, and members only pay $3 for any length of parking. The interactive exhibits focus on work (you can pretend to do many jobs) along with props and costumes. They also have an area that focuses on reading and different arts and crafts (including graphic arts) for kids. They have an indoor playground area where the floor plan is one big board game, and they have a gated section for very small children. My girls never want to leave.
Emily Ness
The museum was great! I only docked a star for the confusing parking situation. Once we finally got parked we had a great time there. My 2.5 year old has so much fun, it was hard to pry him away from the train.
Natalie Eiting
We've had a membership for six years as we have a 6 year old, 3 year old and infant. My children beg to go back. There are tons of hands-on activities to keep them busy. We always look forward to the traveling exhibits and are excited about all the new upgrades (although we'll miss some of our old favorites). If you interact with your child in this child centered environment, they'll learn new information and you'll enjoy watching them light up. There are two Free Little Libraries for trading books, so bring something to swap.
Dan McGillen
It is suggested this museum is best for 10 and under, and I definitely agree - older kids would likely be bored with a lot. Staff were super nice and there is a lot to do despite the small space.
Amanda Wagner
Love taking my 3 year old here. So much for him to do and everything he touched is educational in some way. Not to mention he can touch everything. No chasing after him yelling to put that down or don't touch that. I can let him just be his curious 3 year old self and really dive into the learning.
Kevin Harrigan
Overall, it's a very nice children's museum. There are lots of different types of activities. I especially like the area with all the real world things, like construction site, post office, auto shop, etc. My only critique is that my 20 month daughter cost 8 bucks, which is a little ridiculous.. usually under 2 is free.
Von D
Went here for a field trip with small children. They had a great time! It was very crowded and the layout is a little challenging to keep track of more than a couple children. I would definitely go here again, maybe on a quieter day to enjoy all the acticities more. The kids favorite was the interactive automotive section..who would have guessed haha!?!?
Elizabeth Delzell
A little crowded thanks to winter break. :) Friendly staff and fun concepts, however, it proves the old adage “if you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all” - insofar as there were more than a few broken interactives. There just shouldn’t be digital screens displaying “No SD Card” - fixing those kinds of things quickly should be a top priority of all museums of this kind. Overall, it’s easy to get to, easy to park, and kids enjoyed it - $40 for a family of five is also a pretty good deal.
Kimberly Garlie
Great garden area for the younget kids! Can get kinda crowded
Elizabeth Charland
We went today when children got in free (and adults had to pay) during Milwaukee Museum week. We brought 1 and 3 year olds. It was my second time visiting and I wasn’t very impressed. The baby/toddler area was overrun with large kids. The “town/city” area was fun, but given that it was a discounted day, it was very crowded. The Kohl’s Science exhibit (with the big play structure in it) was underwhelming to say the least. It was aimed for older children, but none of the activities were very interesting. Then there was the word factory exhibit, which was the most enjoyable for my kids. I was left wondering if there were more exhibits or a second floor....but there was not. The entire center of the museum was empty and closed off and didn’t look like much was being done in a hurry to set up a new exhibit. Many items in all exhibits were worn out or broken. I could see how the place could be more enjoyable if you got lucky and it was a low crowd day, but it’s hard to predict when a not-very-well-supervised daycare or school group will come by.
Having just gone to the Milwaukee Public Museum the day before, I can say that museum is much more enjoyable for my kids and also as a parent.
Danielle Tolzmann
As Gumma to a busy running 3 yr old, I really appreciate the toddler zone. Fun area for the older kids too - easy to miss tho, it's behind the gift shop! Enjoyed our visit.
Tinkerbelladonna March
I have a membership to this museum and I take my son there at least once a month. I also have a membership at the art museum and they are across the street from each other so often we do a half day at each one. My son loves the Betty Brinn and we have always had positive experiences there. We have gone there with his physical therapist and done physical therapy on the foam blocks in the pocket park and it is more fun for my son that way because it feels more like playing and less like exercise for him. The staff have been very understanding of this. My only complaint is that they recently removed several exhibits with ramps that kids could roll balls down and replaced them with batting cages and baseball themed stuff. The balls and ramps were one of my son's favorite activities and he does not like the baseball stuff, I wish they had kept the ramps and maybe just moved them to another area when they put in the baseball exhibit. That is my only complaint though and I would recommend this museum to anyone who has small children and lives in Milwaukee.
M Shahariar R Ullah
Wonderful place for children! Lots of miniature to learn. Kids will love this museum for sure!
Prasad RBK
Excellent for kids. My kid loved it. Recommended for children.
Liz
My 3 year old son had a great time here. We were visiting from the DC area and this is one of the best childrens museums we’ve been to. Very clean and well done. We went on a Wednesday afternoon when kids were in school so there weren’t too many people there which was great.
Miranda Kissling
Loads of fun for kindergarten kids. Not much caught the interest of older elementary-aged kids. A few exhibits were not in working order. Place was crazy busy on free day. I'd like to give it another chance on a slower day. Kids probably would have spent a lot more time in the pretend town if it wasn't so crowded.
Jay Scholz
The museum was a great place to spend with my family on a rainy Sunday afternoon. My daughter especially loved the grocery store and the bus. Some of the exhibits weren't working which was disappointing. The staff at the admissions desk were hot and cold - one woman was extremely nice and made small talk. Another one though was short, rude, crabby, and kind of ruined what had been a good day up until then. I think the admissions desk staff would benefit from sensitivity training and how to be nice to people. All in all a good time was had by all.
Steven Fehlhaber
Amazing place to take your kids. Tons of interactive exibits for kids to play in.
Indi Sal
Great place to take the kids! They always have a lot of fun! It's cheap and affordable for single parents or low-income parents! kids get in free and a lot of great restaurants nearby great view of the lake and the Art Museum and just a wonderful place for the kids to learn and use their imagination!!
Lego master
What an awesome children’s museum. My son loves coming here, still at the age of 6. He loves the little town, especially the grocery store. And the factory area with the letters is so cool too. Great place to take little ones
Emily Alviani
I disagree with so many posters. Tell your kids to put stuff back and it will be there when other kids go. Definitely for younger kids: preschool and early reader. We loved it so much from one visit, we became members. We go almost every week.
S Sheikh
My 5 & 8 yr old loved, but my 12 yr old was a little bored. I would love if they had a cafeteria & more comfy seating for parents. Overall we had great family fun.
Sara Cooper
Great for kids. There is so much for my two under two to do. My 20 month old daughter loved the baseball area and interacting with all the exhibits. The price is what is expected and well worth the admission.
Jason Eiting
Such a wonderful place for children. Something for kids ranging from 2 years to 10 years. Hands on learning activities. Most exhibits are changed out evwry few months. Other are long term and always provide constant learning opportunities for kids. Prices are reasonable and many if not most exhibuts are sponsored by local corporations. Views of downtown, art museum, discovery world, and the lakfront are beautiful from this location.
Thomas Sturino
Fun and interactive for a wide range of kids. Get the pass; definitely worth it in the long run
Liz Perez
It's actually a great place for kids to visit but this place is sometimes jam packed and can become dangerous for little ones because other kids are just being kids and running around without looking what's in front to them. I would recommend going when the older children are in school. It's so nice an empty then. also I was just recently here and it seemed like a lot of things were out of order. That was that first.
Amanda Richardson-Meyer
This is by far the best children's museum I've been to. There are so many activities using various methods of engaging the children. I really appreciate how they have all the labeling and questions in both English and Spanish. They are part of the ASTC passport program, which allowed for us to use our membership from our local children's museum when visiting Milwaukee.
Shelby Stielow
Their heart is in the right place, and I guess I shouldn't be too picky, since it is a place for kids, but it's always so messy and 90% of the equipment is broken. I hate walking up to something I want to show my kids, only to have to tell them "Oops, sorry kids. This one is broken too." And have to quickly find them something else to keep their interests before they associate science and learning with broken and not fun. Just wish they were more on their game about maintenance.
T Foru
The children love it! It's a Hands-On Museum with activities for children. Even if we stay 6 hours they aren't ready to leave. Even my thirteen-year-old continues to ask when will we go back again.
Erin Van Derven
First, they charge admission for adults. This makes no sense, build it into the price of the child. The activities are fine but there are so many walls it's hard to keep track of your child if you aren't a one to one ratio. Rating would go up if they didn't charge for adults, and possibly if my kids were older (they are 1 and 3)
ENElii THY QU33N
This is my favorite place to take the little ones!! Definitely so much fun to see them interact with other children and play! Can’t wait till they open back up!
Jan Corbeille
I took a challenged child bad. It was an excellent experience for both of us many of the displays are meant for short people of course because it is a children's museum but we were able to work with what they had. Really lovely staff very kind.
Jason Curtis
Fun place with stuff to do for kids. Nothing exceptional, but it's great for kids 1-12 or maybe even older as well. Big upside is everything is clean. I'm sure this is quite a feat when dealing with all the children every day. It's kind of hard to find/get to, but there are signs. Just know that you'll find it.
Robbin Featherston
We brought our almost one year old and even though it is geared for a little bit older kids he loved the under 4 area. It was nice and clean and quiet. Definitely recommend.
Rik Blonski
Great place yo take young kids, tuckered the tiddler out and she had a blast. Plenty of hand sanitizer around and everyone was wearing masks.
shauna kucharczyk
My son had a wonderful time I would recommend the monthly subscription it pays for itself even if you only go once a month
Brandi Monroe
Went with my 3 yr old nephew and he just loved it. So much for him to do and learn. The price is budget friendly which is appreciated.
Todd Ogren
Very educational and so much for kids to do.
Samantha L
I've taken my oldest daughter... Of which is now 17.. here many times.. yrs ago n had a awesome time.. took my 9 yr old there n it just isn't what it use to be.. the place was packed.. messy with random toys all over.. loud.. my daughter grew bored pretty fast .. won't be going back 😔 …
Joe Finley
Great place to take your kids. We always have a great time. I like how they rotate the exhibits so a visit there is always a new experience. Be sure to ask to about the parking garage discount.
adam s
Absolutely a blast for the kids
Thelma Roberson
I went to a dining room for a Bridal Shower.
Tiffany Dixon
We visited in September. This place is great for the 10 and under crowd. My son especially loved the real Harley Davidson motorcycle they have to ride. Tickets are extremely reasonable as well. If we visit Milwaukee again, we will definitely go back!
Kevin Johnson
We brought our 2 year old niece here during the week. She loved everything - especially the floor "piano". Too bad it wasn't large enough to re-enact the scene from "Big". Great place for kids!
Josh Madrox
Wonderful place to take the kids they always have such a great time there and never want to leave.
Kathleen Cadle
Not to much to do with a toddler. This place is geared towards 4-10 age group. I think the best would be preschool to 1rst grade. We still took about 2 hours to check everything out.
Ryan Marqui
My children loved it here. There is so much to do. The little village set up in there is amazing it let's the kids get a feel for all different types of grownup jobs. Even a little supermarket for them to pretend shop.
Teri Gerard
Always a fun experience the kids really enjoy it
Karina Kovacic
Best place to take kids during those long, cold winters! So many different parts to the museum; you can go for 6 hours and your child still won’t see it all. Worth every penny to get the year long pass!
John Gratton & Katie Kohl
Need few more interactive items...
Alejandra Sandoval
Our family loves going to Betty Brinn Museum when we get the chance to go. My 2 year old and 6 year old are never bored, it’s really a nice, safe, fun place to take the kiddos so they can run around, learn new things, and be able to play with everything.
James D'Angelo
Fun spot for children. It was perfect for my 3-year old. I was there on a Sunday afternoon, and it was surprisingly not too crowded - we didn't have to wait for anything at all. It's a great way to spend an afternoon.
Shane Sievers
Wonderful place to take kids of all ages. Well, our oldest was 8 and he had a blast. While it may be small, there is a lot to explore and interact with here. Pricey for non-members.
Dawn Kirschner
We love this place. It's very interactive and well put together. The kids have the best time here. Kids can touch and play with everything. They especially enjoy the Sendiks market!
TT Lynn (T's Opinion)
We have been here several times in the past. This time the kids were less than impressed. Most of the exhibits were either not working or not working correctly. The few employees we saw seemed less than happy to be there.
Niqui Brooks
Fun displays and lots to do. It's a little disappointing that there is no place to buy lunch in the museum itself, but my kids had fun. I love the little Sendicks market and the channel 4 News Station. I will def go back.
Samuel Modjewski
Very cool children's museum. Tons of activities for children of all ages. It was great for us because we went in October to Milwaukee which means the weather is unpredictable. The day we were in town it was cold and rainy so we went here and played indoors all day.
Luanne King
Excellent educational experience for children 8 and under. Problem is can be overcrowded which looks the fun got your child. I was there on a Friday am. which I think should of made three places more organized & clean!
Mike Mckinney
Kids had a great time !!!!
heather promo
I have a season pass and I love it! I have three little kids and the season pass allows us to go for an hour or two at a time without feeling bad about spending $100 for an hours visit.
Meagan Hess
Disappointed that the play areas are not maintained better. Additionally, the recent changes made the museum less appealing to kids over age 5.
David Brown
Reduced parking for members. $3
The museum changes frequently in the main area to keep children interested and learning.
The Milwaukee Bus, Sendicks Grocery Store, and Auto Body Shop are probably 3 of the biggest interests.
While you are there you will see employees cleaning. I don't fear my children getting sick.
Paul Hoffman
Great place to take the kids, especially during the winter! There's so much to do!
Robin Gleason
Great place for kids to play and explore. I like that there's a separate place for little little kids (under age 4). They also change up some of their exhibits regularly so it's not always the same.
Paul
Great place to take you g kids todler s in the winter months during cold interactive stations for playing.
Andy Schulz
Great spot for kids (8 or under, probably). Lots of things to check out even though it's not a huge space. Went with a Kindergarten class group and was perfect for them!
Kathy Sazama Auch
Awesome Hands on learning experiences for kids
AC Xiong
Love I! Kids enjoys it, exhibits are perfect and appropriate for kids age.
Ms Maria
A lot of space and fun for active children and parents who need a break!
Adam Kavalauskas
Very engaging for younger kids. We could spend the whole day there! ...and we have...
steve wanke
Cool, well thought out exhibits. Many are very involved to get the full value out of them requiring more attention span than most kids have.
My main issue is the number of exhibits that are broken or missing pieces. We got here right when it opened so I know that wasn't due to kids misplacing parts during the cource of the day.
It's also a little expensive for what it is. Most of that cost is due to the location: the single most expensive piece of real estate in the entire state of Wisconsin.
Jeffery Reyenga
Absolutely amazing! Great for a rainy day! Has Something for ages 1-7
Michael Hanko
Absolutely love this place for my kid
jn vo
Fun place for the little ones. Annual pass is a great deal. Opens late on Sundays. Parking is easy in the lot. Take my kid here regularly
Joseph Knapp
My son loved visiting. Good use of several hours and some cool exhibits.
ali khan
Little run down but my 4 yr old had a good time. I wish they would keep up with maintence. Lots of broken stuff. I still recommend to check it out. It has a lot for kids to learn and explore
Robyn Williams
Great place for kids. The staff was friendly, engaging, entertaining, and most of all knowledgeable. There are a lot of life areas for children to explore. I would return for another visit.
Adam Schlaegel
Wow!! Amazing!! This place is a great place for kids to learn and explore. They have exibits for many jobs in the community that show and explain how careers work. Some examples are tv teleprompter, mail routing at a mock up postal office. Grocery store exibits that children can play at and many science exibits as well.
Shatorya Jones
The pricing is deceptive. Clearly states 1yr and under is free, my daughter is only 15 months old and they charged $9. What it should say is 12 months and under. Other than that it was a lot of fun for my daughter.
Logan David
WOW! They've got some new stuff since the last time I took the kids. The Vroom! partners have refreshed a lot of the exhibits and created all new ones. Enough to keep my 5 y/o and 2y/o busy for hours.
karina perea
Betty Brin Museum it's a wonderful place for kids to play an learn ...my kids love it
Michael Rodriguez
Perfect place to go with the kids on a rainy or cold day. Hours actually work out well considering other common options are closed. It can get very crowded but overall it's a great experience for the kids.
Diamond Jenkins
Some exhibits were not functioning. But my kid still enjoyed it. Lots of things 2 play with. A decent price. Bring your own lunch.
Catherine Nemmers
Amazing place. My Grandkids loved it.
Thomas Story
Good place for 3 year olds to move around and make a mess. Items/exhibits get beaten up pretty fast. They have not changed much up in the last 7 years. Memberships are the way to go and to kill some Saturday mornings in the winter.
Divinely Guided 999
My children had an amazing time today. Extremely worth it to go on the third Thursday, which is free.
Mike Norris (Betapixels)
Fun place for kids. Some interesting things that will keep adults entertained as well. That said, can get crazy packed. And it kind of smells like a kids play place in spots. Ovefall not a bad time.
Ruth Piper
This is a great place to take young kids. They can try a lot of different things. They can "go grocery shopping," drive a train or bus, and many other things. Unfortunately the price of admission for children is higher than I would have expected.
Tyler
Super cool spot to go with young children. Lots of fun and unique things for them to do.
Dana Williams
Great place for kids to challenge themselves
Ariel Princess
I really like this place. There are a lot of things to do its a hands on center. My family and I could be there for hours and not get bored. Just bring something to eat they don't have food there only popcorn and ice cream bars. I always take a small lunch and we make a small picnic outside.
Nicole Ivers
I Love taking my son here cuz we dont get the strange looks cuz of his autism. I would've given 5 stars but they took down so much stuff n replaced it with gold balls and shingles that slide...kinda boring.
Jenny Tryba
Great place to take the kid s for a few hours of fun. They have rotating exhibits as well so you can revisit every couple of weeks and try to chase off some winter blah.
Jaz Rodriguez
My Kids enjoyed their time here. I love that they added more things to do with your child(ren). Friendly staff and very clean.
Marissa Marie
I love taking my daughter here, she loves it and many different areas for her to explore.
Kelly Mech
So fun for my 18 month old! Got crowded by noon on a Saturday but it was a good time to leave for lunch and nap anyway. We'll be back soon!!
Samantha Vollmer
This place is great to get lost in. I think it is geared towards the 3 to 6 year old she groups. Wish I would have known before going w my 1 yr old. We found things to do in the end. Also parking sucks. The discount thing didn't work. And we got stuck in a line and couldn't back out to go fix the issue!
Justine Haima
All areas seen to have gotten a much needed update! The play structure and golf ball ramps (classic favorites) stayed. Something to do for kids of all ages!
Frank S
Great place to take the kids in downtown Milwaukee. Lots of fun exhibits for the kids. Museum is right by lake Michigan and the art museum. So you have other activities before or after
Janie Twinem
Brought several special Ed classes, we had the whole place to ourselves! Very nice!
Mary Ellen Olson
Lovely place whether you're 5 or 55. Very innovative hands-on exhibits and activities for children. Would be a great field trip spot for school children!
Kay Hogan
Free every 3rd Thursday! Like the fact that they change up the theme to keep you learning something new. The theme now it's all about the baseball. Sometimes they have lots and lots of free book for the kids!
Sarah Rickert
Parking is a little tough. There need to be a few more signs to direct people to this nice and clean kid museum. Lots of great interactive exhibits for the kiddos.
Heather Franklin
Always a great place for toddlers up to elementary aged kids. Had a 1yr, 7 yr, 9 yr and 11yr and they all had a blast.
J Mangin
My daughter has enjoyed Betty Brinn for a year, however this new display of items is not too engaging as others have been. We miss the ambulance, basketball hoops, and the train.
Kristina Moore
This is such a great place to take the kids. My 2yr old had so much fun running around from exhibit to exhibit. There is so much to do and see.
Bryan bkk
Great outing with the kids 5 and 8. Places in mostly good shape with a few signs of wear and tear. Some good learning can be done if you don’t just rush through.
Journeyman Turd Polisher
Excellent stuff for the kids, however the staff was very rude and started forcing everyone out at 4:40 and we're complaining about kids making a mess at a CHILDRENS museum. Some serious improvements need to be made
Tanisha Baskin
Pretty nice. Had a lot for the kids to play with. We are not from here and it had more than our Children's Musuem.
Deanna Cincotta
You need to bring your kiddos here--even if you live far from Milwaukee area. I want to bring my son once a week! He not only loves it, but I can see how good it is for him!
Maria Johnson
Love this place. Lots for children to do. Love all the different areas and exhibits. My son can play here for hours.
Megan Wilson
It was really a neat place for the kids we went on a field trip today and the kids made art robots with makers that moved and made circle pictures on the paper on the table they had a great time my son asked if we could go back with out school on the bus we will be back for sure!!
Sue Cohn
Nice smaller, non overwhelming size. Plenty to do. $8 entry fee is reasonable. Street parking or parking lot available. They gave a $2 discount for parking lot at the front desk.
Elyse Claassen
The staff needs to help make sure everything is in place. We went when it was extremely crowded and there were no staff members to be found. Several of the play areas involved balls that couldn't be found, so that was quite disappointing. We've only been there once, but this was our experience.
ryan burwell
Living in wisconsin this is a great place to bring kids all winter. Variety of activities - some fun, some educational, some entertaining. Annual family pass is the way to go!
Rosalynn Harris
Because it's so exciting and your children can learn from the Betty Brinn Children's Museum and it's fun for you and your babies just to get out the house and have a family fun day there.. I wish me and my babies could go back there any time i would love that and oh it's a place where you can actually bond with your kids...
Bryan Cook
Excellent place to bring your kids. Lots of fun exhibits that are kept in pretty good condition. Easy to get to and the kids love it.
Francisca Coronado
Love going there kids always have fun even the big kids enjoy it and i love how they have the area for four years old and younger how they have it set up very cute one of my daycare kids did not want to go ...
nick thompson
Great place for the kids to be kids and make new friends totally worth the money which is not a lot. Make sure u validate the parking tho saves u a lot. Great staff as well.
Kyle Manderscheid
I was a little concerned because my daughter isn't yet 2, but there was plenty of interactive pieces that she loved and a special area just for the under 4s for when the floor got too crowded by older kids.
Angela Homburg
So much fun! My 7yr old had a blast! I definitely recommend getting in early before the rush though!
Brittany Pearl
My kiddos always love a day here!! Keeps them busy and happy for hours!!
Janel Cornellier
My son is 15 months and he loved this place! So many things to do and inexpensive. They give you a parking voucher too!
Iqbal Saiyad
Great place for children, lots if fact information and fun stuff. Great for children to learn.
R A Seethaler
Cute interactive museum. It's a shame the parents of older children there are barely supervised. It makes it harder on the toddlers to have fun.
Anne Stadler Vaillancourt
Had a wonderful time at the Betty Brinn Museum. My 4 year old nephew played and ran around for hours. Will definitely be taking him back .
Brian Verwoerd
Wonderfully interactive, lots of areas to learn about and explore. This is the type of children's museum Blippi would go to check out if he was in the area.
Tracy Berginz
This place is amazing for children of all ages. My grandson absolutely loves it and he's not even 2 years old yet.
Lizz Lor
Lots of different play areas. My son loved the tiny city most..it had a bank, post office, grocery store, mechanic, Realtor office, bus, construction site, factory and more
danielle heberer
Could be a great place but half of everything is always missing or broken. Not an easy place to entertain your kids more than once a year.
Allen Blair
My 8 and 6 year old girls absolutely loved this place!!! The play grocery store kept them entertained literally for hours.
Jermel Sheppard
I Took my Four year old down there she had a ball I'm very grateful for the opportunity to have taken her there watching her learn what the Museum was about meant a lot to me.
Marcelle Baker
A great place to take the little ones! Watching your child learn and explore while creating positive memories. What could be better.

Abby Ellenbecker
My sons favorite children's museum and we have been to many interactive and educational. Exhibits are unique compared to the others we've been at.
Brad Schimian
Great place. Kids had fun. Starting to look a bit dated, and several of the stations were out of order.
Ari Monroe
A great place for the kids to play! They had a blast!
Sara Strauss
For the price, there were more broken toys in the exhibits than I would have liked to have seen. The kids had fun though.
Barry Karpinski

Carina Mac
My nephew love this place. Great to being ur family for the kids to learn and to be active. I had a great deal on groupon. Would bring my nephew here again.
John Holtz
This is a lot of fun for kids. It gets more crowded than I'd like, but that just means everyone wants to take advantage of it. It's a great family resource downtown.
Gabriela Ortiz
I took my kids recently and I ended up playing as much as them. Totally fun and educational. I recommend to buy the membership. Totally worth it.
Anita
Love bringing my kids here. They like to play and imitate adult things like working on a car or working in a television studio aka newscaster.
sarah sponberg
Best children's museum ever!!!
Brandon Wiseman
Great place for our kids! Noticed they put extra efforts to ensure sanitation! Thank you for the good time! :)
Ryan McClellan
Good price and alot for the kids
Elizabeth Callin
So fun! Thought my 18 month old would be too little but he loved it and had plenty to do.
Michel Chagall
Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Our membership has paid for itself MANY times over. We tend to go at opening to miss the crowds, add it can get very, very busy.
Latrise Jarrell
Lots of kids as you go deeper in museum kids got more and more chaotic not what I thought as a museum for children very cheap experiments you probably have already shown your kids at home it’s a fun treat for kids I guess if you don’t want them to retain anything from museum
Angie D
Fun place for kiddos!! The admission price was very reasonable too! My kids spent all afternoon there! Very sweet little place!
Isaiah W
Great place to bring the kids to play. Lots of games and toys. There are also plenty of learning opportunities for kids and parents.
Justin Docter
Pretty cool place right by the lake. Kids enjoyed it. Several different stations/areas set up for them to explore.
Max Bernhardt
A nice enough place to take kids to play and explore. Our 2yo was still a little young to really get a lot out of it.
Michael Koerner
My daughters loved all the hands on material. Great place to take your kids if you want to waste a couple hours.
Ian McKilligan
Beautiful and fun kids' museum. They cared about sanitation and masks given the pandemic.
Ryan B. of MKE
My kid loved it. It had a lot to do and I'll certainly be back!
Kevin Doherty
Wonderful hands on experience for younger children.
Peter Christensen
Great place for educational play. They rotate the exhibits. So come back every month for something new.
Angela Iverson
They have alot of age appropriate activities for all different ages. Weekends can get really busy. I recommend a weekday if possible.
Blake Foster
Very crowded, lots or broken exhibits and pretty much every exhibit had missing pieces. Not a terrible place but definitely a one time only place
Austin Freeck
Awesome time there. So much for the kids to do. Everything is hands on. Definitely a great place to blow a couple hours
Patrick Bacon
It has a number of exhibits which engage young kids. The new baseball exhibit is one of their best.
Teresa Kick
Absolutely a great way to spend a few hours with the kids! So much interaction and the smiles are priceless.
Kitty High
It was a wonderful event me & my family were invited to children as well as myself enjoyed the activities and staff

It's a fun little Museum, if a little unkempt and messy. My daughter had a great time despite the fact that it was pure chaos inside during our visit
Cal Mac
Took my kids here over Christmas break. They absolutely loved it even though it was a bit crowded.
Jim Bach

Erica Sterbenz
Great museum for kids under the age of 10. I love how they can use their imagination and have hours of fun!
Orhan Erdem
This place was well below my expectations for my son of 10y. It is very small and not well-equipped. Most of the tools do not work or have missing parts.
Joanna
As a non-member paid $18.00 and $6 parking. Too much for a very small children's museum. Many items were not working properly such as horns and other sound makers. Didn't think it was very clean.
Aliyah S.
Cool place to distract younger kids for a little bit. Plenty of activities.
Amanda Conway
We've been looking for fun, poor weather friendly place for our toddler, this is perfect!!
Avinash Patil
Kids love this place...ok in winter but more fun during summer as they arrange some outdoor fun activities there
