Reviews of SEE Science Center
D M
Great little museum, it's geared towards kids 10 and under I would say. I took my tween daughter and her tween cousin. They had interest in a few things there. The Lego model downstairs was very impressive.
Lindsey Murray
Very nice hands on museum. Nothing too complex as far as exhibits go, but great for kids and easy to understand. Simple exhibits, small floor plan, several stations so kids can station hop, not crowded (there were two other families on a rainy Tuesday afternoon), and inexpensive. Younger kids (<9 years old) and adults loved this place.
Terri Behm
It's always a fun time at the SEE Science Center! Lots of hands-on learning. Rotating exhibits. Areas for the very young, and many for all ages. Very impressive model of the millyard. The gift shop even has reasonably priced STEM treasures to bring home and keep learning. :-)
Kevin Heikkila
My 3 year old daughter liked the kitchen and bubble making areas the best. Some exhibits seemed to be out of order or hard to understand what you were supposed to do. On a previous visit there was a chair connected to ropes and pulleys where you could sit and lift yourself up. I didn't see that this time. Also, a stationary bicycle, attached to an electric generator, seemed to be missing.
Tami Haislip
Pretty cool STEM activities, very clean and interactive! We will be back when we visit again!! My 5 year old, loved it and we're used to the Children's museum in Denver!
Ashley Bailey Guelfi
Great place for kids. More like 4/5 years or older. Lots of interaction toys ..like how engines work and how pulley systems work. They also have a Giant lego set of the old millyard. This is the main reason we went. Cheap prices.
Eric Maurice Levesque
Nice little discovery museum in Manchester. Parking on Sunday was not an issue, but it can be during the week. The place was clean and bright. The upstair exhibits were mainly for toddler's, while the down stairs were for older kids. The lego displays of the mills was great, on par with what you would see at lego land. There was a snsck area and the gift shop was reasonably priced.
Sabbor Sheikh
Cool place on two levels. We enjoyed it for 90 mins. Good variety for the entire family.
Rick Pierpont
We went on a very busy afternoon. My 8-year-old was kept busy for over an hour looking at all the exhibits.
Warlord M
An impressive collection of fun and educational scientific demonstrations, built around an incredible LEGO recreation of the historical Manchester Millyard
Kristen Callahan
Wonderful experience at our daughter’s field trip- you even had us chaperones entertained! We’ve been many times on our own- but the extra experiences you provided her and her classmates was a complete surprise. Thank you for a wonderful outing for the children.
Elizabeth Seigle
Visited during Christmas break and had a great time! Definitely recommend booking a visit -- my 3 year old son had a blast! It might not look big but you'll need 2 hours to see everything. We'll definitely be back!
Victor Ortiz
I came in with my son and my wife, expecting to just waste time and get out the house, BUT-I really actually had a way better time then expected, it’s 2 floors of fun, for the little ones and adults! Definitely recommend if you just wanna get out and have a good time with the family
Raj T
Really good place for kids. They can play games and puzzle. Around 2 hour max can be spent.
Neat and clean 5/5
Sydney Perras
Another great experience and field trip!
Becky Lynch
We had a great time! Big open space. Everything is hands on. Awesome lego build of the mills downstairs. Went during holiday vacation and it wasn't busy at all. Took about 2.5 hours to enjoy.
amy cloutier
We just had Michelle from the Outreach Program come and do a few science classes as part of our STEM Week at KinderCare in North Andover Ma. She was fun and very organized and the children loved it! I would recommend this Program to all childcare programs that cannot take field trips as an onsite alternative. We will definitely have them come back next summer! Thanks!
ashley allyson (Ashley Gruszecki)
My 4yo and 1yo both loved our visit! This place is probably ideal for a child who can read (like a K-3rd grader)...but we found plenty to enjoy even as adults going with our children :) staff were super nice, too. Everything was reasonably clean. Parking was easy. The main reason I gave 4 stars is because several exhibits were closed for repair.
Nicole Morin
Both of my kids love it their and their so much to do.
Billy Bob
Was a lot of fun. We went for a birthday party and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
Pam Lee
Was here once a very long time ago so it felt like a first time. Definitely a nice place to bring your kids if you want an outing that won't take all day long. It's not huge but they have quite a bit there to enjoy. Both of my kids had a lot of fun. Some stuff could definitely use some updating. I'm glad I got a pass from my library. Paying $9 ea for all 4 of us is a little steep, I feel, for what it is. It wasn't extremely busy on a Saturday which was a definite plus. I would take my kids again.
K S
SEE Science Center was great! Super place for a birthday party.
I loved seeing the Manchester Mills and Pine Point Lego display. Amazing! Great view of history!
Jane Collins
I was visiting my family in the area and my dad decided to take my family and I to this museum. I have a 2 year old and a 16month old and we were blown away by all the interactive exhibits! Not only did my kids have fun but everything was fun for us too! What put the icing on the cake though was the staff. I unfortunately left my diaper bag there and didn’t realize it until we had gotten back to my parents house. When I called to ask about it, the woman offered to drive it to our home about 30 minutes away and she did! I have never experienced such kindness from a stranger. Amazing staff, amazing experience! Thank you SEE science!

As an employee I love it its a friendly place to work. There is always something fun to do. Love seeing the families come in with the children. Membership are a bonus as it gives you admission to other places as well. They are affordable as well gift shop always has new things and doesn't have outrageous prices like most museums.
David Kraus
Excellent, albiet small, science center. I enjoyed both the water, electrical and nanotechnology exhibits. My kids enjoyed it all around. The Lego build was rather awesome. The staff was friendly and pleasant, but seemed bored with the routine of the museum.
Danny Diaz
See science center is a lot of fun, and full of history. It's one of those places that you need to do only rarely, it doesn't change exhibits enough to stay fresh for kids.
Michelle Archer
This place was so much fun! Little pricey but lots to do for everyone. We learned a lot of different things. Kids were engaged the whole time. From our 9 year old all the way down to the 1 year old :)
Joshua Root
Excellent museum for kids with lots of fun sciency stuff for them to do. The adults can enjoy the huge Lego model of the millyard. It's quite impressive. I highly recommend visiting.
Hui Chieh Hsiang Jackson
This was something fun and educational to do with a my toddler on a hot summer day. He got to go see and touch all the different interactive displays. There was a bubble tank for him to enjoy and a giant Lego display of the millyard to see. It was nice to have a place for him to burn off all his energy. I will definitely bring him back for another visit.
Kayla Smith
Overall a good experience for the family. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because I went with my 6 month old son and my older son and I had to leave him and my husband to breast feed in the car...I only wish they would have told me when I walked out I’d be locked out of the building...in January. I thought we’d be right back so I left my belongings at the entrance with the coat racks along with my phone. We spent a good hour or so outside until my husband and son were done and came out, but no one was by the doorway any of the times I went by to check or knock.
Katherine Griffin
This place is just great for kids. Had to kill a morning before our flight and this far exceeded our expectations. My daughter didn’t want to leave!
Mark Plante
My 5 year old LOVES this page so much she's been here 4 times and still wants to come back. My 3 year old has a blast too
Patti Walbridge
Had a blast! Read reviews before coming here so I wasn't sure it was going to be geared to my tweens. We all loved it! The Lego display was amazing, loved the coral aquarium, many interesting things to learn, see and do.
Chris
great little museum for little ones. not a ton of space but lots of activities to play with and learn. definitely recommend and we will be visiting again
David Terry
Really like this place, it's kind of a hidden gem. It's not huge but there are a lot of fun interactive displays for the kids to play with. Prices are about 9 dollars making it a good deal too. We had a birthday party here and I couldn't be more pleased with the staff. From booking to helping the day of, everyone was friendly and helpful.
Victoria Kazachenko
Very nice place. We spent there 2 hours. A lot of play areas for little kids (big blocks, farm, kitchen, dino archaeology site). For older kids there is moon walk, electricity hands-on experience, air cannon, DNA exhibition. It was not crowded at all, so all kids can spend as much time as they want at the exhibit stations. Friendly employees. A lot of free parking. It was better than I expected.
Cassandra Bates
I brought my niece her and we both had a great time! Super cool two level experience!
Katie Lydick
I've been an employee here for over 5 years and let me say it is such a fun and interactive place to bring children of all ages. It is so amazing to see the young minds grow and develop through the use of our hands on exhibits! so great.
Jennifer Schelly
Awesome local science center! They have a world record Lego installation, rotating exhibits, a great camp and field trip program, and awesome staff!
Paul Lalicata
Very good for kids of most ages. Took my nephew of 9 years old and he loved it. Very interactive and that you and do some demos.
Sassy Pants
Our favorite place! We've had a membership here for years and it's well worth the money. My kids always have fun and get the hands-on experiences in science. The employees are the nicest, too.
Garrett Poltack
I brought my nephew here a few years ago (age 4?) and he loved several of the exhibits. A lot of interesting and interactive activities for young kids.
Sean Pooler
So much fun. So education for every age group. Warm friendly staff. Strongly recommend it for anyone.
Don Doughty
SEE Science Center has many 'home grown exhibits, see which one your kids like the best as the explore the both floors. Is there a concept that needs to be explained, make a suggestion the staff, maybe they can design and build it.
Do not miss The Millyard Museum on the ground level.
Candace Cayer
My 5 year old loves this place..her favorite is the chef Nicole's kitchen..
Martin Cilwik
Great for children. Lots of hands-on education and play
Ed Smith
It's a really good hidden gem in Manchester. In the mills, they not only have a great set of exhibits to keep the kids educated and entertained, but they also explain some really big science in a way that kids can understand.
Aurielle Payne
We love the SEE science center!
We actually bought the membership (totally worth it as you get a few different places to go, not just the science center)
My son, RJ, loves the ocean displays and the fish, beelines it for the fish every time!
Bobby Chan
This Science Center is housed in a commercial building shared with other companies. The building itself is very nice. There’s 2 floors of stuff to do and the science demos are very nice. You have to park on the street, but there’s plenty of parking and it is free on weekends. I don’t know if it would be harder to find parking during the weekday though.
Peppa Piggy
It's what you'd expect from a science center oriented towards upper elementary kids. It has plenty of interactive things for kids to do. There was a random city made of legos downstairs that was a bit out of place. For what it's worth, it's a waste of time and money. The Museum of Science in Boston is a better option. There was a static electricity demonstration.
Daniel Donahue
Me and my kiddo had so much fun
Margarita, Kouzi
The exhibits are interactive & observable making it fun for all size and ages, there are SO MANY OF THEM, so you can be here for hours if you wanted to. They are so amazing that on some of them you could be doing them for HOURS.
Victor Olmstead (Vixtor)
Lots of hands on, informative, educational, fun things for young and mature alike. The Lego exhibit was awesome!
Andy Bergeron
A lot of fun for my 7 and 2 year old grandchildren. They are restricting access right now, so make reservations. This also means it is not super crowded.
Bill Moyer
Nice little museum for kids. Easy stop while heading up or down Rt 3. Free with membership from other science museums, even Boston MoS. Amazing huge exhibit of the Manchester mill complex built from Legos.
Tim Cloutier
Neat place for young kids. They have a lot of older exhibits (probably from bigger museums) and there's usually a few that aren't working though. The Lego exhibit is cool.
Steve Samler
Three hours of contentment for a 4-5 yr old.
Sree Raam
Very good collection for kids 2-10 and beyond! Easily you can spend 4-5 hours if you and/or your kids are interested. Would definitely come back!
Jacqueline Blais
My 4 &1 yr old granddaughters loved it. So did I, Mom & Dad.
Mattman416
The Museum is so much fun for my family. We keep coming back and having a great time
Jen Kloss
Great place for kids! Not too big, and not as overweight as some of the larger museums. A hidden gem!
Gavin Ayling
I don't agree that this is only good for young people - a wonderfully hands-on museum with the most amazing Lego construction I've ever seen.
Shenan Moon
Brought my 3 year old nephew and had a blast. Well maintained and clean. Something for any kid.
Katherine Easterly Martey
My 3 1/2 year old gets so excited when we pull into the parking lot, the museum is a great size with hands on exhibits.
megan gravelle
Great place for ages 3-13. Better than expected. Lego structures are amazing.
Sumit Maheshwari
Awesome place for kids. Have a lot of exhibitions and kids can have fun. The moonwalk is closed currently.
Geoffrey Adams
They have really added a lot in the last couple of years. We made a full day of it. We miss the Lego Thomas train set, though.
Wade Koblinsky
SEE is a wonderful little museum to take your children to on a rainy Saturday or weekday off from school.
