Reviews of Muhammad Ali Childhood Home Museum
Wonderful 2 still c history... I've visited his grave as well... a great human being
Muhammad Ali has been my #1 sports athlete since I was a 8th grader & my #1 Brother of All-time I got warm chills just being there he'll always be The Greatest
Childhood hero....amazing to see up close, plus the museum!!!
Hard to really rate it as it was closed at the time and so was the museum in Louisville. Check their site and book ahead as their site states but quite epic to see along with his grave. Worth seeing even if just a drive by
Even though it was closed, landmark sign was interesting to read.
I grew up on this street and knew Cassius clay he use to baby set my mom here she is
Learned a lot about Ali at his museum today. The museum is an excellent tribute to the man.
Great to just see the house!
This place is nothing short of amazing. The best museum dedicated to the life of an African American hero that I have ever visited. If you are in the city - make sure you check this place out. And please purchase something, it's for a great benefit. He sacrificed so much, the least we can do is appreciate him.
Although there times were showing open, It was closed at the time of my visit!!
As you pull up there a gentleman on the porch waiting to greet you. You immediately feel welcomed upon arrival. It's kind of pricey and very limited parking. I thought the price was high for a tour considering it such a small tour. They should clean up the area surrounding the house. I gave them five stars because it newly opened andb the gentleman on the porch made it worth my money. The two tour guides did an awesome job and they were knowledgeable about the house.
Cool to see the childhood home of a legend!
It was good. There is A LOT of reading and videos. Thought it would have more memorabilia but only a very few items. Also disappointed that it didn't discuss his association with Howard Cosell, not even a blurb. The video ring where you can watch some rounds of boxing matches was great. Elevator from parking garage was out of service when we were there on 2/17/19 so a lot of stairs to climb to get to the entrance. If you are a fan it was worth a one time stop.
MOVING EXPERIENCE! If you haven't been you have to go. We got there at 4:30 p.m. and had to rush through our guided tour, but the tour guide, pictured in the middle below, was accommodating, kind, and charismatic! If you've been b4, you already know that you have to get there again, but b4 5 p.m. 😊 …
I was very curious to see where my hometown hero resided when he was a youth. So i went to see where the legendary Muhammed Ali grew up and, to walk the same street as he. May he rest in peace. You are so very missed champ. Amen.
The best experience ever. The workers were friendly, infomative, polite and courteous. My favorite part was the video in the recreation room that the father built an seeing where Ali and his brother slept.
GOAT. Love.
Neat view from the street
This is the childhood home of Mohammad and Rahaman Ali, then known as Cassous and Rudy Clay. A childhood friend was our tour guide while we were there and was a delight to be there with.
The home has been refurbished to how it was during the Clay's childhood as much as is possible. Using period pieces when actual family pieces were not available. The house is small but the tour is very well put together and presented with a "feel" about the Clay family that one can not get elsewhere. The history learned here was a great addition to what we had learned at the Mohammad Ali Center downtown the day before and was worth the admission charge.
After our tour we were getting ready to go back next door and buy a book and magnet when our tour guide told us "I believe that's Rahaman's car" we went into the house (it's where the gift shop and tour purchase is) and there sat Rahaman and his wife! I can not even tell you the amount of love and sweetness that just pour out of this man's eyes alone. Without a word spoken I felt like I was with a good human being. When he spoke his eyes smiled and his heart poured out. This was the highlight of our trip to Louisville without a doubt..... And we had a wonderful trip all around.
Very moving experience, would definitely go again .
Great history lesson! The Tour guide who grew up with him added a nice insights!
Easy to access location and get a tour!
It was nice. The house was not open for tours; but we were able to look inside and take pictures on the outside.
Mohammed Ali home is an honor for Kentucky! But the area around is super beat up just stay low key!
Nice environment but the museums hours of operation need to be review. They miss a lot of oppurtunies to make extra money.
VERY INFORMATIVE....STUFF WAS VERY PLEASANT...LOVE THAT SONE OF THE EXIBITS WERE INTERACTIVE...WHEN IN KENTUCKY THIS IS A MUST VISIT
Tough neighborhood. He did well getting out. Louisville is covered with Ali's name everywhere. Worth a stop but not much there.
Humana in my experience with my work as a sub contracted company.was that Humana exemplifys health. And shows that in every way possible.from employee to community. And expressed thru a company as a whole.there committed to the wellness.Of every one!
Was a little unsure if we could walk up t the house to take pictures. Wasn't sure if family still lived there.
Could only see outside. It was closed!
Awesome place to have live as a child 70 years ago!! Warm neighborhood even to this day!! May his legacy live forever!! RIH Ali

Nice 👍 …
Was so to different owners but something to really see.
I attended the funeral of Muhammad Ali in Louisville Ky. and I have fond memories of this place! ✌️
Kind of reminds me of other African American Homes you can visit at least we have a place to see a piece of History
Didn't get to go inside or anything but cool to come across none the less!
It's the home exactly the way it was when Muhammad Ali lived there, I worked on that house to help restore it.
Saw the entire project from start to finish. Really good detail.
Although it was not planned to visit Muhammad Ali Old home but it was still amazing experience.
It had a good community safe restoration going on. The people were hapoy.

Die Gegend ist nicht unbedingt die Beste, doch wenn man sich anständig benimmt passiert einem auch nichts. Schade dass man hier nicht mehr aus seinem Elternhaus macht. Ein Besich sollte man einplanen.

The area isn't the best, but if you behave yourself, you'll be fine. It's a shame that you don't make more of your parents' house here. You should plan a visit.
