Only two rides in Harry Potter, but the one in Hogwarts was so fun and creative. We went on it 3 times. Butter beer was really good, honestly wish it was a little cheaper. Might have gotten a few on my trip but $9 was a lot. (Root beer and cream root beer) is what it tasted like. Really cool shops and shows. Got some fancy candy.

It was just as magical as I hoped it would be. My boyfriend bought me an interactive wand to do the spells, which made it even better. Just know that you should use your wand when the sun isn't directly overhead because it makes the sensors act up and not see you do the spell. If you look in the windows and see where the sensors are and the sun is bouncing back... wait and come back and they will work. Or block the sun with your map if you can. Wands should also not go on rides and need to be locked away. I hope these tips helped! Have fun.

No words will be enough to describe this spectacular set of Harry Potter in Universe Studios Hollywood. The ride is very thrilling and the building has large screens bringing the movie scenes to life through graphics and laser projectors. Definitely worth visiting though the queue is long.

Definitely the place to go if you're a Harry Potter fan, big or small. Universal did a good job have you feel like you are truly there. If you're not a fan of waiting in lines, this isn't the place for you. Lunch about 1:30 on a Saturday we waited over an hour in line just to order for example. Went here for a birthday trip and I definitely recommend. Just maybe on Wed afternoon if you hate crowds.

By far the best part of Universal Studios. Everyone working here seems to enjoy it and are super friendly and in character the whole time. I love the fact that we can dress up and experience the magic of Hogwarts Wizard School.

The Harry Potter world is just as magical as you’d imagine. We went at Christmas time & they have a holiday light show that they play against the castle every half hour or so. It’s timed with music from the movie which makes it extra cool! We got a frozen butter beer at one of the stands which tasted like a cream soda/butterscotch flavor. Very fun!

Being a long time Harry Potter fan, it was exhilarating to visit the Wizarding World. Lots to see, the place is small but well built and can make any HP fan happy. You can buy butterbear, souvenirs, wands and candies too. I didn't go on the rides which i truly missed.

What I can say of this attraction in California universal studios? This is the most amazing place in the magic world!! But just watcha everything is very expensive as is suppose to be for an Californian attraction! Be ware to bring enough money and go early to enjoy this place!!

Great area of universal, such thought and imagination goes into these areas and you can really tell. It's definitely shows. Worth noting that flight of the hippogriff is a kiddycoaster. I'm glad the staff members let us know as we were going to be in the line for 50 mins. We went back later when the line was shorter and we were so glad that as an adult couple we hadn't waited any longer!

Once you past that gate you enter the world of magic as the area itself seems separated from reality as you walk the streets passing buildings inspire by the world of Harry Potter. To honey dukes store or a cold cup of butter beer to kiss your lips you are surrounded by fantasy. Then, the attraction itself ropes you along in an adventure of mystery as you race through HogWarts to escape the vile beast. Only to be tossed into the forest covered in spiders as ghouls watch your every move. For this is the world of Harry Potter!

As we arrived once the parked opened, we first went to enjoy the wizarding world atmosphere. Short to little lines for butter beer which we had to snag before the long lines started to form. Stores were overcrowded so one bad to be try to step on anyone's toes. The ride flight of the hippogriff had a 40 minute wait time and the ride was no longer than 2 minutes which was very disappointing. Slight rush and strong movements but i was hoping for it to last a little longer. However, the forbidden journey had a much longer wait time but was worth it. Being inside the castle was fascinating. The ride felt worth the wait.

Always a wonderful place to visit! The butter beer is fresh, the shows are fun, Olivanders never disappoints and the conductors ate the best first impression one can make!

This is an area inside Universal Studios. It’s confusing the way it’s added to the maps as an attraction on its own. But nevertheless it’s a very cool spot with hidden treats. If you have a wand purchased from Olivanders, you may unlock some of the objects in the windows and/or architecture to “become alive”. Butterbeer is too sweet for my taste, but a cool thing to try at least once. Harry Potter and the Forbidden journey is one of the coolest rides in universal studios, in my opinion. Flight of the Hippogriff usually has shorter wait.

I've visited a number of times, but never had as much fun as I did this time! The employees were all so kind and very interactive, way more than I've ever seen before. It's amazing how detailed it all is, it really feels like you're walking through Harry Potter! Honeydukes was so much fun, we bought some fun treats, and they have the CUTEST cupcakes!! The rides here are the best in all of Universal as well!

The Wizarding World of Henry Potter located inside the Universal Studios Park, at the city of Los Angeles is one of the most popular atraction of this amazing Park. The place is really very nice, wich each detail of the buildings, sidewalks and parks inside given the real sensation of been inside the world of the famous movies of Henry Potter. The castle of Hogarts is simply amazing and the train inside give us great moments of fun, inserting us more and more in that fantastic world. By the end, it is impossible goes there and not taste the famous non achoolic drink Butter bier a delicious drink that have the same taste of my old times when a used mix Coke and ice cream, and enjoyed each drops of it...Also is dificult don't buy some candies at the candy store that exists inside the area of Henry Potter. I recommend a visit to enjoy everything there.

Magical experience for any harry potter fan! I really enjoyed getting my robe, trying butter beer for the first time, and going on the Hogwarts Express! Had a great overall time walking along Diagon Alley, and I would love to go back one day!

If you're a Harry Potter fan, you are going to love this place. It felt so magical to be in the heart of Hogsmeade, surrounded by the nostalgia of the world of Harry Potter. We had butterbeer outside of the Three Broomsticks, took a tour of Zonko's and Honeydukes, and marvelled at all the wands and cloaks and trinkets for sale. The best part was getting to go into the castle and see the stairs to Dumbledore's office on the way to the Forbidden Journey ride! There are also wands you can buy with guides for spells you can cast that make items in the shop windows do special things. A real highlight of our trip to California!

If you are a Die Hard Fan or just beginning seeing and learning the Franchise. This Place is definitely for you. The Detail of The Wizarding World is in great Detail and the Rides are Super Cool. Don't forget to Eat some Delicious food at Hogsmeade. Diagon Alley has all sorts of interesting stores. Check out Ollivanders to get your Wand. Don't forget the Chocolate Frog and Butter beer. Simply Rich and Delicious.

Very cool replication of popular scenes and attractions from the Harry Potter series. The ride in Hogwarts was neat, but some timing issues between the visuals and the robotics holding the car caused some disorientation.

There are only two rides at Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and a lot of gift shops, would highly recommend purchasing a wand at the CityWalk the night before. That way you are not stuck in long lines, purchasing a wand however, inside the park there is a one store, which has a lot more variety of wands. Depends which you prefer, and each one there is a map with at least 6 to 10 places you can use your wand, the ones with the golden ticket are the “interactive ones”. We rode the flight of the hippogriff roller coaster, which was 28 seconds and the other ride at harry potter world was five minutes, but there are no backpacks allowed so plan ahead. At both rides they take your photo so I would highly suggest getting a QR code, business card, and then having them scan it for each ride. One butter beer costs eight dollars and two will cost you 18 with tax. You have a choice of either frozen or cold with ice cubes. 1-2 hours can be spent here.

This place is epic!! Comparable only to disney. The realism is unbelievable and you can truly get a Harry Potter experience. May I suggest starting at Ollivanders wand shop buy the interactive wands hopefully you get chosen as wand lore is explained. Once you have your wand wonder through the interactive shops and cast spells to reveal secrets throughout Hogsmead. If rides are your thing que up early and make sure you go through the halls slowly to enjoy the stories told by Dumbledor, the paintings and various other interactive sections. After going through once the single line is pretty quick. Unless you have small kiddos you can probably skip the hippogryph ride as it is very short and not overly thrilling... perchance the line is under 10 min go for it. The shopping in the stores gets repetitive and if you find something in a larger size that fits I suggest not waiting. I also found there was a better selection of Harry Potter gear in the Universal store. As for food who doesn't want a cup of butterbeer? It comes two ways in slush form in a throw away cup, or in its original form in a plastic keepsake cup. If cosplay or dressing up for the adventure is for you by all means feel comfortable it is very common. My last bit of advice as always ... be respectful to others, pick up after yourself and Enjoy!!

I love Harry Potter and coming to Universal Wizarding World is great. You really feel like you are at Hogwartz. The Harry Potter ride is the best I love it so much it's so much fun. The wait for the ride is long like 70 mins when I went but it was worth the wait.

Go early and head here first. By far our favourite part of Universal. The wands, though spendy, do add a lot of interest for the kids who really enjoyed learning to cast spells and see the magic come to life throughout the area. The attention to detail was incredible. The trip to the restrooms alone was worth the visit with Moaning Murtle giving a whine while you go.

This was a lot of fun. It wasn't the best amusement park...or should I say the most entertaining, but the Harry Potter part of it was. Sea World was a lot of fun and I loved learning about all the good they do to Help animals each year. I wish Wally the Walrus was still there, I was very disappointed to learn he was gone.

I am personally not a big fan of Harry Potter but the Ride is awesome. Got on it multiple times even with long wait times. The movement of the seats, the tech, the sound. Everything is on point. Just walking toward the Wizarding World 🧙‍♂️🧙‍♀️ makes me happy! You hear the music, you see the shops, you're greeted by the train conductor, and then you spot the Butter Beer Cart! This was the best belated BD with our granddaughter! I love it so much as she did! However, or was exorbitantly expensive. Souvenir prices were rarely under $18. Lunch for 3 was almost $60. That's not including parking and the price of tickets for 1 day. Otherwise, it totally met our expectations! It's worth spending an entire day and evening!!

100% must ride! Had a blast on it. Same issue with all rides though. It's too short and the line is a 1.5hrs wait. I will never go to universal again without buying a fast pass. After this awesome ride we got to ride 2 more and that ate up the whole day. It's a 5 star ride all day. Negative 5 stars for the line wait.

Had the the best time in the Wizarding World...Loved opening day. After a year of being closed Universal Studios did an absolutely amazing job with their reopening. Everywhere we went in the park felt clean,safe, and they were making people aware of the mask without being rude of hypersensitive...Excellent job for the Entire park from parking, to janitorial, to ride attendees to Park services...Can't wait to go back especially since the kids and I are season pass holders...

It's all about the atmosphere. You get swallowed up by the whole thing. Its just beautiful. The flight of the hippogryph is a small family ride but very short. Forbidden journey was a great ride even though I'm not a big fan of dark rides like that.

This is one of the newest editions to Hollywood Studio! It will get extremely busy so make sure to get in line first. If you arrive early in the morning, you may be able to ride this less than an hour! As soon as the theme park opens, just follow the crowd and you will enter the Harry Potter village. This ride is located towards the end. Try to skip all other tempting places to stop and visit on the way there but you will have time later on to look around after other rides.

This place was so much fun! If you are a fan of the books you need to visit this place at least once in your life! The rides were amazing, the scenes magical, and the shops incredible! It was like stepping into the books. Visiting both Hogsmeade and Diagon alley are a must! The Gringotts ride is a blast, the Hogwarts castle ride takes you right into the movies, and the Hagrid ride might be the most fun ride I have ever been on. Take your kids or take yourself and go get some butterbeer and a meal at the Leaky Cauldron! Make sure to ride the Hogwarts express too! I could go on and on, but Harry Potter World was amazing!

Decorated nice. Transforms you to time and location. There is wayyyyyyyyyy too many people for the majority of the day. Go early stay late..eat during the crowded times. The park is too small to hold the amount of people thay stroll thru there between the hours of 11-3 PM. It is literally elbow to elbow. If you are eligible for the pass for a disability..trouble standing or walking for long periods..stop by customer relations and pick up your pass to cut down on your line waiting. You will be assigned a time to come back to the ride...one ride at a time...and then go back and walk up in the express line

Came to Universal on Christmas day, the 25th. Specifically reviewing Harry Potter World! Very packed and jammed on that day and the workers made me laugh when they were trying to control the crowd. Other than that it was just another fun day at Universal and the Christmas light show was very neat!

Honestly I'm a huge Harry Potter fan but I missed Diagon Alley. Would've been great if it had been there. I had read onlind that you could get your wand replaced if it doesn't work (The tip was scratched so it didn't work), and I got told that I needed to pay for a new one with 25% off.

Where to even begin. The individuals who designed and built this are amazing. The rides are super fun but where the real experience is, is in the town of Hogsmeade. The details are so perfect from Hogwarts to the shops no detail was spared. It is a truly full immersion experience. The food is delectable and don't get me started on the Butter Beer. I have had it regular, frozen and as ice cream. My favorite however is frozen. Every nook and cranny of this place was perfect. I would have stayed there my entire trip.

light show at Hogwarts in the evenin was amazing. I ride on the Harry Potter rides three times in a day! The evening one had a lot less people. So save time during the day if you are able to stay late. We stayed in the recreation hotel right on the site which helps out a lot on saving the commute time and parking. it's not only fun for kids but lots of surprises for fans of Harry Potter

Do yourself a favor and just go ahead and experience this. It's so cool. No one ever breaks character and you are completely immersed in the world of Harry Potter. Go get a wand... just do it. They are magic and make things move throughout the park and they work in both California and Florida parks. The Three Broomsticks is impressive. The food is solid 4 stars if not better. The chief took the time to come talk to us about our meal and our time there, which was impressive given the number of people and turnover amounts of meals happening at Amy given time. These rides were our favorite... hands down. Well thought out, fun, and there was little wait time. Butter beer is a must. Hot and frozen are both so good, but frozen was better. We were lucky enough to catch a performance of some of the Hogwarts students while we were there too.

What an amazing pace is this! It was just like I was in the Harry Potter movies. The rides were amazing and wonderful! The food was great and it was not to busy in a Sunday with amazing weather. I really recommend people to go here and experience it for their self and let me know how it was! I wanna go back just to try it all again.

It’s magical. Universal did really well with setting up this little land apart from the rest of the park. It is crowded, so plan accordingly and either come first thing or towards the end of the day. The food is better in this part of the park too. Great atmosphere from the Hogwarts chorus, to the butter beer stalls, to the Hogwarts express.

Our experience with The Wizarding World of Harry Potter was amazing. My kids and I had so much fun. We did a two day park-hopper pass and had lots of time to enjoy everything in the park once and the next day we repeated our favorites. We also purchased the interactive wands to use at all of the wand stations. We think it was worth the money. The lines weren’t bad because there’s plenty of look at while you’re waiting and nearly every ride line is shaded. The staff was incredibly kind too.

Fun to at least experience once. Try the butter beer just to say you did, but it's lacking in flavor, but not too sweet. The dining hall can be a mess and the menu is a little mediocre, think Medieval Times. The ride is fun with a quick line, so pay attention and don't hold up everyone else because you had your back turned. The wand shop is to be avoided though, absolute nightmare and claustrophobia.

Omg, I loved hogsmeade! The whole Harry potter area is awesome and anyone who is a massive fan would be so awed being here as they have so many things from the movies! We came first thing in the morning and ended up still being there 4 hours later not realising the time! There was just so much to see and it felt so special and real. Incredible. Even with the crowds, it feels magical. If you buy tickets online, you can get early entry. Do it. Then get line for olivanders. Incredible wand selection demo for one lucky person. Then they let you into the shop. You can use the wants to perform tricks around the park. The tech is a bit flaky, but its still delightful. Great day.

The most magical place ever! I can't wait to go back! Everyone working/acting was amazing, the food was delicious at the Three Broomsticks and drinks were great from Hogshead! The light/firework show at the end of the night is something you do Not want to miss! The rides were totally awesome & fun, but my only complaint is that wish there was more shade while waiting in line. Ooh and if you meet an amazing woman named Amazon working in here she is the best and made our day even more magical!!!!

Excellently made and a very pleasant experience to stroll through Hogsmeade. Beautiful music plays in background, cobble streets, and all the favorite Harry Potter World stops like Hogwarts, Honeydukes, and the Three Broomsticks! The Forbidden Journey ride is so great, definitely one of the best rides of the park! Flight of the Hippogriff was a short ride and was okay, not worth the wait. There is child wait room for the Forbidden Journey ride which is great for families! Prices were expensive for treats and butter beer but they are definitely delicious at least. Large and clean restrooms available with changing tables. Little carts are available throughout selling pumpkin juice, wands and other snacks/ items. Stroller parking available. It’s worth catching one of the amazing performances by the Frog choir or the Tri Wizard tournament schools!

As a true Harry Potter lover, I love the theme park! Being at Hogsmeade and Hogwarts was an amazing experience! Especially Forbidden Journey Ride! I and my husband took it three times. I strongly recommend to go to the park 1 hour early and take the ride first. Because after park opens, the waiting time becomes around 60-70 minutes!

Quite awesome to see in person but the butter beer will make holes in either your pocket or wallet. Not a big fan of one at all, never read the books nor watches the movies so never really caught on to the hype but it was a nice experience. 3D ride though is a different story...

Fantastic newest addition to Universal Studios Theme Park in Hollywood California! Our kiddos rode all the attractions here at least twice. There are also many Harry Potter themed stores your children ( and adults) will love if fans of the wizarding world franchise. From wands, to capes, to candies, you will find it here. Be prepared to spend time exploring all in they have to offer!

They did a nice job recreating the Wizarding World. The ride was fun... but not good for anyone who may get motion sickness or vertigo. If you go with kids that are fans, be prepared because every turn is pushing the sale of some little knick nack, or Harry Potter regalia. No doubt, they are trying to get as much of your cash as possible... 🤣🤣 All in all a nice little addition to the park.

I haven't been a massive fan, but it's very impressive to walk around here and immerse yourself in Harry's world. I just took some photos of my favorite aspects. The ride inside the castle is immersive, but can make you feel bad if you don't like a lot of motion, so keep that in mind (or just close your eyes while you're on it - like I did). The outdoor roller coaster is fun, but not worth waiting a long time for.

We love the Universal Studios! My wife and I are huge Harry Potter fans so it goes without saying we always have a blast at the Wizarding World. We tend to start and end our day here at the park. I think experiencing it in the holiday season makes it extra special with all the decorations and the Hogwarts Casrle light show. During a weekday there are virtually no wait times for the rides an no crowds. What more can you ask for.

Only two rides, the Hippogriff ride (usually a short wait depending on the time you go but ride is really short) and the simulated Forbidden Journey (this line is always ridiculously long, usually at least an hour long!) The shops are okay, prices are rip off prices but that's what you get when you're at a theme park. The Butterbeer is meh, expensive and just sweet. The night show on the castle after dawn was amazing though. Just make sure you get there super early to get a nice view and get ready for some magic!

A thrill ride for both kids and adults. A little scary when pulled up close to skeletons and spiders. Otherwise it's a typical speedy ride with lots of ups and downs while surrounded by familiar scenes from the Harry Potter movies. There is a waiting room near the ride for families with not-tall-enough kids.

It's definitely smaller than the one in Orlando which was nice in a way since I wasn't running around trying to get to everything. I was able to relax and shop! Downside, no train ride. The frozen butterbeer is a slushie, it's really good and very sweet. The pumpkin juice I should have passed on, it's cinnamon and pumpkin, not my thing. The chocolate frogs here are solid unlike Orlando's frogs so it's a good purchase. It was really worth it just to see the differences but, if you really want a magical experience, go to Orlando.

We had an awesome time at Universal Studios on New Years Eve. The fireworks show was amazing and the kids had an absolute blast. Was certainly crowded but worth it in our opinion. We purchased the early park entrance pass for Harry Potter World and think it’s worth every penny as we were able to knockout both rides in this area before the rest of the park even opened up.

Amazing! Go at night to one of the light shows for sure. Also a great gymnastics type show pops up at intervals with actors from the schools that toon part in the goblet of fire book. The ride in the castle was also pretty good. I would recommend getting a ticket online where you get in 1 hour early and heading straight to the castle. We did and got in fairly quickly later saw the line had 2+ hour wait line. Granted they make the line experience great (better than other rides waiting lines), but still 2 hours is a lot. We spent too much in the stores (but worth it).

Going to get slightly personal on this review. Harry Potter is very special to me because it was one of the few series that I was able to watch and read with my mother. She always wanted to take me to Universal Studios but Parkinson’s disease took her from me before she was able. Today I visited for the first time in her memory and I can’t tell you how nice and immersive the staff were. They went above and beyond in every manner! Everyone asked me how my day was going and if I was enjoying my time there, staff quickly picked up that I was a fan and Hufflepuff house member due to my shirt and addressed me as such. When I asked where to find particular shops or items they gave me very detailed directions and when purchasing items they were always willing to tell me more about what I was buying. All in all the experience I had was unforgettable and I’m glad I picked up an annual pass. This is my new favorite place to go!

The effort that is put into this world is incredible. You dead feel like you have been teleported to the world of harry potter. All the staff are so in character, and the buildings are on point with the movies. Wands are around $50 And butter beer is about $8, so it can be pricey, but in no way did it detract from the experience. We came on a somewhat quiet day so the wait was relatively short, this helped our overall universal studio's experience.

I thought we'd only need 2 hours in here - but over the course of 2 days, I'd say we spent at least 6 hours! It is definitely a fan's hang out place, you will want to see and try everything. The food is fantastic, the butterbeer was delicious and the toilets were even... ummm, entertaining! The Flight of the Hippogriff ride had to be done, even though it was a bit tame for us and our 10 yr old. The Forbidden Journey ride was good but the line-up entertainment was better! Honeydukes was a joy to be in - there is so much colour and so many things to look at. We are still finishing our Bertie Botts (I seem to be braver than our son). And the interactive wand, while it is expensive, you should definitely budget this into your trip as it's really worth it. Our son used it so much while were there, and we'll be able to use it in Florida too.

Super cool! I mean I don't think I even need to do a review. I actually had never seen the movie, and going there made me want to watch it. Amazing how you literally feel like you're in the movie! The details are amazing. Went to Ollivanders to purchase a wand of course, for my daughter, had the slushy butter beer that was so yummy, took a pic in front of the train, and walked around using thew wand. Very magical!!!

Expectations are high when visiting the Wizarding World, and it does not disappoint. From the snow capped roofs to the bubbling bathrooms, the atmosphere here is perfect. Nothing beats a cool cup of Butterbeer while browsing Ollivander's Wand Shop. Universal knew what they were doing when they built this addition. The Forbidden Journey is the premiere ride here, and really the only one you should spend any time waiting in line for.

It’s not the same as Florida, it’s much smaller. But I loved it anyway!! I would say the plus here is that the road through Hogsmeade is much more roomy. Everything is easy enough to find as it’s all along one pathway. Food quality and options are about the same. I would say it is worth it to visit during Halloween Horror Nights at least once if you get the chance.

Best part of Universal hands down. Full disclosure, I'm a grown lady, but this place turned me into a small child for the day. I spent a bulk of my time here while at universal. Notes: Buy a wand ($50) and make sure to see all the fun little experiences the wands add. Get frozen Butterbeer, just get it. Find folks in house costumes and ask them to show you the house handshakes. Eat at 3 broomsticks, it is easily the best food in the park, and if you have room get sticky toffee pudding. Flight of the hippogriff is a kids ride, so adult legs are a tight fit, but it's worth it to see Hagrids hut and Buckbeek. Last note, I wore house colors and noticed that throughout the day more people interacted with me and made extra effort when doing so. It made everything more authentic for me. 10/10 would go everyday if I could.

It's like walking into the books! Our tour guide, Amber, showered is everything and took us through the rides with hardly any wait. Ollivanders wand shop with the show of a little kid getting chosen by their wand is literally the cutest thing ever. Three broomsticks is delish and the Hog's head has a full bar. The Hippogriff ride was fun, not too fast or too crazy of drops. The Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey was just enough excitement.

Had a blast!! We were able to practically walk onto HP rides until about noon. That's when things picked up a bit. Would also recommend the Backlot tour.. Overall great trip! Been waiting my whole life for this. Just wish you didn't have to wait 2 hours in the sun to go on ONE ride (in July). Butterbeer is amazing although can get sickly- I recommend 2 people per drink. Uniforms are about $150 once everything you need is bought. Honeydukes is great along with the interactiveness and shows they put on. As expected, everything's a bit pricey so be prepared to spend.

Amazing!! You have to try the butterbeer and the food court. The rides were pretty fun and I absolutely love the outfits the staffs wore for their roles. The production is incredible. I literally stood in front of every building at least 2-5 minutes just gazing at the details, every brick, door, walls, seats, posters. I saw a few surprises and easter eggs. Totally recommend it. Also, we got an express pass, cause the lines were crazy long.

I have a great time whenever I go. The studio tour has changed a bit but I have to say that it is pretty awesome. Staff has been extremely kind and courteous. The Wizarding World is one of my fav spots in Universal Hollywood. FYI.. The Butterbeer from the cart tastes better than the butterbeer inside Three Broomsticks (it just has more flavor). Pumpkin Juice is kind of thick and tastes like pie... So 1 cup to share/try among a family is probably enough. During the winter, Hot Butterbeer is the way to go. It tastes kind of like a Butterscotch Latte without the coffee. Single Rider lines will save you a LOT of time if you dont mind riding separately. I would also venture to say that Three Broomsticks carries the most bang for your buck in the park food-wise. Kids chicken tender meal is somewhere around $9 (after the gold pass discount) and comes with fries and grapes. If you arent able to eat everything and dont want to be wasteful, the people at the meal pickup window are always really nice about giving aluminum foil sheets to wrap your food for later (they dont have to-go boxes).

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! This just takes the books (and movies) to the next level. Hogwarts is absolutely incredible even if you don't go on the ride (you won't enjoy it if you're claustrophobic). Skip the line and walk through the castle. Hogsmeade is lots of fun and you don't have to buy stuff in all the shops. Definitely go to a wand choosing ceremony at Ollivander's. You can get your own ornamental wand, or you can get an interactive wand and practice spells around Hogsmeade. Also, stay for the night time light show. It's not very long, but impressive nonetheless.

Thank you to the team that brought this magical place to life! I turn into a giddy child walking through this recreation of Hogsmeade. The line for the Forbidden Journey can get long but you wait in line winding through Hogwarts and it's honestly pretty epic. It isn't a wasted 45-60 min. Especially if you have a butterbeer in your hand. The ride is really cool too, a seamless transition through virtual reality and live action animatronics. Food, drinks, shops, shows, and attractions bring my favorite book series to life in the heart of LA!

This place was AMAZING! The Hippogriff ride wasn't that appealing, so I didn't actually get in line, but walking past Hagrids house and flying motorbike was amazing. Hogshead Pub has Wizard themed alocoholic beverages. As a vegetarian, I appreciate the meal options that are offered at Three Broomsticks. The Forbidden Journey ride was epic. I got in line guest first thing in the morning and it took an hour to get through Hogwarts and onto the ride. I went again in the afternoon, as a single rider and the line took less than 10 minutes.

"The forbidden journey is an amazing ride!!! There are few more attractions but nothing compared to this one. The whole place is decorated so great that you feel like you are actually part of the theme. You can buy an iced or sparkling butterbeer that tastes just like you would imagine! The only thing that bothers is the feeling of a walking wallet... so merchandized and after your money that it ruins the experience. But the stores are decorated beautifully! On the weekend It's packed so go early or have the Express pass.

Ride was amazing! however the wait (at some times 2 hours) was exhausting. The main difference with the covid restrictions in place is that you spend your time waiting outside the castle and when you finally get in , it's a breeze as there is no waiting in side the castle. My advise: if you can afford it get the express pass!

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is straight out of the famous book series. It is a combination of Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. Stores range from Ollivanders, where a wand fitting ceremony takes place, to the Three Broomsticks the tavern in the books that sold butterbeer. On the top of the hill is Hogwarts in all of its magical glory and looking straight out of the movies. We saw a wand fitting ceremony at Ollivanders which was fun to see, and we had breakfast at the Three Broomsticks. My girlfriend had Butterbeer which she enjoyed, and I had the pumpkin juice. The pumpkin juice was delicious as well. The Three Broomsticks was at the tail end of breakfast when we went, but it offered an American breakfast and a traditional English breakfast and a few other options. I had the classic English breakfast which was tasty and filling and the same can be said of the American breakfast. The owl post is recreated here as well using stuffed versions of different owls seen in the movies. This section is just a small section of the Universal Studios, but it is a world of its own and very well done. I loved it and would recommend it to any Harry Potter fans.

If you want to see the light show but not deal with the crowd, go to the leaky cauldron. Get yourself a drink and sit in the back beer garden area. You can see the whole light show from there. Perfect for an introvert. Also, get the wand you want, wether or not it works in the park. The stuff you can do with wands in the park is not worth settling for one you don't care for. The ride made me sick, but was totally worth it. HUFFLEPUFF REPRESENT!

This was my sons first trip and he loved it! Universal Studios is open to So. Cal residents at 25-30% capacity. It's not overcrowded and the season passes are very affordable. The tram tour was so much fun for all of us and Universal is very concious of Covid protocols. They clean and disinfect and require guests to use provided hand sanitizer!

After reading all the Harry Potter books and watching all the movies, I took my ten year old son for a very special trip. The scenery and architecture is beautiful and fun, and the staff all place the part. The lines weren't bad at all on a Sunday in late fall. Olivander's wand shop was the only thing that had a lengthy wait, but the anticipation felt like a good thing. The "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey" ride in the castle was REALLY impressive with it's 3D imagery and realistic motions. The spit from the spider was a surprise. Riding the broom stick felt super real. My son didn't get upset, but I think the dementors did scare him and he didn't want to ride it a second (that didn't stop me from riding three more times!) Harry Potter World was a fantastic "coming of age" journey. My only complaint was that the Flight of the Hippogriff should have gone around twice, plus another special Gringott's or Forbidden Forest feature would have been fun.

This place is amazing! From the outside, I felt like I was in Harry's world lol! We bought wands for $44 each. As collectible items, it's worth it. Butterbeer a lil expensive but you're not buying all the time, right? So good to try it. Though line was always busy. Rides were great! I knew little about Harry Potter before coming here, but my 12 year old granddaughter simply loves the books/movies and couldn't wait to see what the park offered. WOW!!! So much detail and the rides are incredibly fun. Yes, there is a wait in line but you don't mind because there is so much to look at while you are in line and yes, you are often times out of the hot sun. The technology is just mesmerizing. Absolutely loved this place. My son is the big Harry Potter fan in the family, but it was fun for everyone. Great atmosphere and decorations. The staff was really friendly as well. There are a couple rides within the Wizarding world, and the wait wasn't that long at all. We did these as soon as we entered the park, and again before we left at closing. And I highly recommend the butter beer. It's like liquid butterscotch. Oh! And if you're into people watching, this is a great place. Haha

They have packed a ton into a small space. The first look is magical. He kids were entranced. They have two rides, and one is an actual short coaster that is a lot of fun! The interactive wand places are amazing, and my kids (and myself) had a blast with it. Be prepared for very steep prices for the interactive wand though... Food wise, try the butter beer in all seasonally appropriate forms. The butter beer pot of cream is AMAZING. I highly recommend the Shepard’s pie and the ploughmans lunch in the three broomsticks.

Brilliant place to visit, When i originally visited i had zero interest in Harry Potter yet after seeing the world of Harry Potter at Universal it actually got me into watching the films 😁 There’s numerous themed areas which are impressive to just walk around based from the film, such as Gringots bank with the dragon sat above that breathes flames out, the purple London night bus with conductor there, Hogwarts express etc: and there all linked together with numerous themed shops with Harry Potter merchandise like interactive wands which you can cast spells with various interactive areas around the world there. The rides there too are great even queuing is slightly more bareable due to the rides location such as the gringot bank with full on styled bank with huge interior ceilings featuring chandeliers and staff working, entering the vault itself with with papers that have live footage of stories ride events happening etc. It’s all very impressive to go around and the rides are great, missed out on the Hagrids ride due to entire day of queuing with it being new and with the weather in August when i was there being mixed you could soon see it change and ride closed 😖 So maybe in next 5 years when we’ve saved up enough to return I’ll get on that 😔 I’d loved to visit at night and look around and spend more time grabbing some photos yet going Orlando and the parks is a expensive yet great holiday / vacation that’s well worth doing... can’t wait to return. Added just “a few” of what photos I’d took, I’ll look at getting some more added.

Some good things to know: To do/explore everything (the shops, the food, and the 2 rides) takes about half a day. This Harry Potter world is much smaller than the one in Orlando. The butterbeer was delicious and would recommend the frozen one. Don't believe they sell any adult beverages in this area but they do in other parts of Universal. The food at The Three Broomsticks is good but there are not a lot of vegetarian options. If possible I would not bring a backpack. The rides in the park have mesh nets on your seat to put your cell phone and other belongings during the ride.

This recreation is amazing. Our family enjoyed this place and the rides a lot. The Forbidden Journey ride is spectacular. It feels like you're actually in their world, and when the dragon breathes on you, there's actually hot mist. The frozen butter beer is great, but it just tastes like cream soda. My daughter loved Honeydukes candy shop. Definitely stop by here when in Universal Studios!

I love this place! It's been a long time since I have been back. I am a season pass holder and I was here pre-pandemic. Now that things are opening up again, it's good to see this place alive again. The supplies and staff are coming back. I was bummed to not find stamps at the Owl Post or pumpkin juice at any of the Harry Potter locations on my visit, but I understand. It could be a supply chain issue. Other than that, I felt very safe and clean. You can only eat or drink at designated areas. Masks have to be worn at all times everywhere in the park. Overall great service, food and experience!!!

It would be great if they allowed people to wait in line in the cool air conditioned castle. The line goes really slow in the hot sun with people getting heat stroke. But you walk right through the castle part. It's a bit silly. The ride itself is fun but line management needs to be improved.

Absolutely love it here, it's a must for my family to go at least once a month and of course we take our cloaks and wands. The staff is always friendly and they make you feel like your part of the magic. It's also a must to have a butterbeer, either frozen or just cold; and if your over 21 you have to try there magical alcoholic drinks (try the firewiskey). The food at the three broomsticks is fantastic. The rides are great and the lines never too crazy long, I think the longest I have ever waited was 45 minutes and that was on a holiday. No matter how many times I go, I feel like I see something new and have a new adventure. Visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a must if you Visit Universal Studios Hollywood. Can't wait to go back next week and feel like a wizard. Lol

The wait time in late January (low-season) during the week is around 20-45 minutes. Other reviews say that during the weekend, it can get to be 1-2 hours, and high season can be 1.5-3 hours. I would highly recommend this ride, it's very well done and the wait isn't so bad with so many interesting things to look at while you wait.

The aesthetics of the place is really great. From the castle to the talking portraits it's really fantastic. There is a long wait time so I recommend getting this ride over with first. The ride itself goes back and forth for 3d elements and a regular roller coaster. Probably the most unique ride in the whole theme part. I recommend the butter beer in town.

My wife is a Harry Potter's fan, then this place was a must-to-see for us. In fact, we went to LA exclusively to visit Universal Studios and specifically the Wizarding World. Before this section opened, there was already ~200 people waiting to enter. But, the waiting lines were not too bad because it was very early. Curiously enough for me, later in the day, one of the places with the longest waiting line was Olivander's Wand Shop; anyway, I am not a HP fan, so it hard to understand :)

This is top tier theme park land for sure. It is tied with galaxies edge and cars land for me. This place isn't quite as grand as either of those places by there is just so much more detail and moving parts and things everywhere compared to them. Frozen butter beer is one the best things I have ever eaten, and Harry Potter and the forbidden journey is an incredible dark ride that is super unique and unlike anything else. This place is 10/10 for sure.

I went with my friend for my birthday! We had a blast! We were at the one in CA, not Florida. It was very fun to see the shops and play with the wands that do spells. There are 2 rides and Hogwarts castle is amazing (one of the rides). Ollivander's is very fun and you get to see your own version of the scene from the first movie. The employees do a great job of acting it up, and you can eat at the Three Broomsticks. 😁 For Harry Potter fans it is awesome! No Hogwarts Express, and it won't take all day unless you have to wait in long lines. I definitely recommend going and seeing the Harry Potter world come to life. Hope you enjoy as much as I did❤️🥰😁

The rides are short and express pass is needed for everything universal. I recommend everything harry potter after the sun sets otherwise you will enter the hogwarts castle completely blind and unable to appreciate the scenery. The butter beer is good just go easy on the frozen butterbeer its very easy to give you brainfreeze.

My favorite at the Universal, The Wizarding World feels absolutely magical. Went to this place as soon as the Universal gates opened, since I've read that the wizarding world gets way crowded than all the other attractions... We didn't have to wait in the queue for the ride since we went early, and it was AMAZING. This is definitely the best ride at the Universal. It would feel like you are actually flying on a broomstick. Please note that you have to get on the ride by getting on a moving ramp. The castle looks so pretty and real.. definitely a place where you wanna take a lot of pictures. It would feel like you are actually in Hogwarts. If you are a fan of Butterbeer do try one, I didn't though since it's way sweet for my taste. Overall this is a great place, try to go as early as possible. This place gets crowded by noon and you'll lose your patience especially if you want to go on the ride.

Super cool! If you want to ride all the rides in the park and enjoy time at Wizarding World be there super early or get express passes. We were going to go back to it after riding all the rides but didn't get a chance too. The wands you buy there are interactive with the Wizarding World but cost 60 bucks. So if you want the full experience take like 200 bucks to buy swag and butter beer!

I'm a big fan of Harry Potter, and I can never get enough of this place it makes me feel like I'm in the movie. And seeing other people put their own twist on Harry Potter is amazing as well and the fact that all the movie Magic that makes his place come alive makes me believe that I'm actually in hogsmeade or Diagon Alley. Universal went Above and Beyond on this one and the fact that everybody's children are excited to just run amok through there makes it so much better. It makes me feel like a kid again and makes me not afraid to dream.

If you go to Florida first you will be so disappointed with this creation. They have very little space so what can they do. If this is your only option by all means but if you can go to Florida go by all means. The Universal Parks in Florida just have so much more room. There is charm to this one and the Studio Tour almost makes it work the price of admission but not quite.

First ans foremost, is so great to see the harry potter world come to life. I can't wait to take my little on again when she's read all the books. They have great little shops with many of our favorites, like the chocolate frog or every flavored jelly beans. Ollivanders is a great experience and you can also purchase wands that are interactive with the park both in California and Florida. The Butterbeer has three flavors based on temp. (Hot, cold, frozen/ice), we tried the cold one and it was delicious. The pumpkin juice was also great. However, beyond the beverages the food was subpar. Essentially frozen meals that were reheated. The rides were geared towards children but the Rollercoaster is neat as you can see part of hogwarts like the great hall. Overall, definitely worth a visit just because of what it is but I would suggest not having any high expectations for the food.

The visual details are fantastic. The food is great. The wand stuff is gimmicky and a bit difficult to use. The main attraction, The Forbidden Journey, broke down in the middle of my ride which was unfortunate. The second attraction, Flight of the Hippogriff, was surprisingly short, but very pleasant. Go in, look around, grab some butter beer (the Three Broomsticks restaurant isn't too bad, either), and explore the rest of the park, and maybe ride the rides if they have low wait times. Don't expect to spend a full day here; treat it just as you would any other area of the park.

Disappointing that for the price of the interactive wands they no longer offer an option of repair, only a discount to purchase a new wand. Not even going from a free repair to charging a fee. Just can't do it. From reviews online it seems as though Orlando may still offer this.

The ride seems to be pretty awesome. However, when I asked the staff how tough is this ride, one guy told me it's really not, which is probably accurate. However, the reason I asked it's because my mom it's not physically active and fast as younger people and they have this automatic band running all the time where you need to step to get to your ride sit. My mom was falling down and we couldn't get to the ride. I just let you know in case you might find yourself in the same scenario.

First trip back since opening up from the pandemic closure. Staff do their best to keep things clean, lots of hand sanitizing, and lines were tolerable. Love coming back to the atmosphere. We had Krusty burgers and Sideshow Bob foot long hot dogs and they were great. Only wish there was an easier way to refill water bottles without paying $4 for a small water bottle.

This place should really go down as the biggest missed theme park opportunity in history. I'm a massive Harry Potter fan and it seems like whoever designed and planned this just wasn't a fan or that the higher ups in Universal didn't like Harry Potter. The over use of 3D effects at a studio that made its mark in monster movies using real effects is sad and takes away from the overall quality of experience. They have a few key points from Harry Potter but they feel like they were all just quick thoughts instead of actual attempts to fully immerse you into the world of Harry Potter. It feels more like a popup than an actual destination. I can basically sum it up with the statement that if Disneyland had gotten to create it at their park it would have been 100 times more immersive and more of a place you'd want to go back to, spend time at, and be a part of, instead of a side experience that will leave you wanting more.

The setting here is quite amazing! It makes you feel like you're really in another land. Due to limited capacity, the lines were not long and not a ton of people around which made it nice. The main ride was better than I thought it was going to be!

The ride there stopped the first time so it kinda changed my experience by the end of it. Went again, though, and it was still as fun and terrifying as it can be to a person scared of heights. The look of the building is really cool and being there gives off such a good feeling. The shops are so cool and you really do feel like a little kid experiencing magic. They have a cool train and walking through and into stores made me really giddy.

It was fun a creative but me and my brother both felt motion sickness for a little bit after. I hardly ever feel motion sicknesses. I would say i would go on it again but my brother said he would never want to ride it again. Oh yeah, make sure your shoes are tied, I almost lost a shoe on that ride. Lol

Love my annual pass with parking. Short 3 hour day due to long lines on limited open rides. As the afternoon came more people and longer lines. Multiple returns make it a pleasure to enjoy and not rushing to get on all rides in one day.

This Harry Potter world is amazing. It really only has one ride but it is incredible, the Harry Potter ride in the castle. The little roller coaster is not much. Walking through the castle and waiting in line is fun enough that we had to stop in several areas and let the line go past us so we could really enjoy (the lines in the days we went were all under 25 min). Eating lunch or dinner in the there broomsticks is fantastic as is just walking around the shops and enjoying a cold or hot butter beer. This attraction alone is worth the price of admissions. A word of warning the prices are high expect to pay $7 for a butter beer (non alcoholic) and $15 a plate but I felt it was well worth it.
