Reviews of Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas
Excellent museum! Admission is included with a ticket to the entire Springs Preserve park. This museum took us nearly 30-45 minutes and had plenty of different types of exhibits. From animal remains and fossils, to Las Vegas history throughout the years. Event center and very kind friendly, definitely check this place out! Admission is only $10 and includes the remainder of the 180 acre property.
Do yourself a favor and buy a ticket! Tickets are $9 and under, yearly memberships offered and parking is completely free. The exhibits are very interactive for families of all ages. This place includes a large botanical garden, several main exhibits, natural habitat exhibit which features live insects and animals that kids would love! - (foxes, butterflies, spiders, lizards, rabbits, scorpions, tarantulas), free train rides to Boomtown, hiking trails, amphitheater, conference rooms with amazing views (great for meetings or networking events), and a cafe overlooking the strip. The food was delicious! Lattes, smoothies, chai teas, ciabatta sandwiches, burgers, potato fries, salads, they also include kids menu, & lots of Vegan and Vegetarian options as well. Very clean restrooms and elevators all over. Wheelchair accessible for all attractions including the train. A ton of really exciting history of Nevada and the Las Vegas area. It’s a must see - You’re going to love this place!!
Another great fine in Las Vegas! A wonderful opportunity to spend the day exploring the expansive lush grounds of springs preserve. From the museums to the gardens to the trails and the beautiful butterfly exhibit, good times were had. Good for all ages, I will be back to further explore and hopefully grab a bite at the Divine Cafe. Divine Cafe has seating that overlooks the grounds. I definitely recommend checking this place out.
This is an ok museum by itself with an arboretum that is pleasing to the eyes, however, compared to other State Museums around the nation, especially Austin, TX, Albany, NY , Cheyenne, WY and even Trenton, NJ, this one leaves much to be desired. It looks like the displays were more or less thrown together without much thought or depth.
It was fun!! Worth it if you have children. Summer time and it's hot this is the place to chill and learn about history
Awesome place. My 2 and 4 year old were interested and engaged as well as me. Very cool.
We visited during Thanksgiving holidays. It was a good experience. The museum showcased animals, vehicles, LasVegas fashion costumes etc.
I loved it. Cheap prices and very informative! They had a free craft making event and live animal exhibits.
This whole facility is awesome. Today we visited the state and origen museums. Both were fantastic. They are very well put together, detailed and the descriptions are an easy read with pertinent information. We love to read about everything and this was just enough but also not overwhelming to someone who just wants to casually learn.
There are many interactive exhibits that kids and adults would enjoy. They have multiple "little shows" that are fun but really help kids understand the history of Nevada.
There is something for everyone at Spring's Preserve.
The special events (usually for kids) changes weekly. Our kids have a great time, every time. It is clean, cool, and the volunteers and staff are always so eager to teach and are so polite. We love coming and learn something new every trip.
One of the BEST museums we have ever been to any where in the country!
The museum takes on the challenge of depicting the history of Nevada from a billion years ago to the present and does a fine job. I was particularly impressed by the geological exhibits that showed how various processes developed the mountain ranges and valleys around us.
But the fossils are the most eye-catching.
Our first time here and we went with family who was visiting and everybody enjoyed seeing all of the history presented. There were young kids (baby to 12 years of age) with us who really enjoyed the playground after we were done with the museum. The only thing we were upset about was that we didn't know the train they have stops for the day at 3pm and it takes a bit of time to go through the museum. If we had been told that the train closed at a specific time we would have made sure the kids had gotten to ride it before we went through the museum because they were quite upset that they didn't get to go on the train. Aside from that though everything else was wonderful.
This place is decent and very educational. A must go for sure has a lot to offer and explore.
A hidden gem in Las Vegas. Cost less than $20 to get in (2 adults) Great attractions from live butterflies to dinosaur bones. For some reason it doesn’t show up as a museum or even a thing to do in Las Vegas. It’s very interesting and family friendly.
Very clean, and very educational!
It was a very peaceful experience, and the view when you exit through the back was very nice. The permanent exibit is always my favorite, and it always has been!! I highly recommend going as well as checking out the actual springs preserve park!
Excellent exhibits. Lots about the history of Nevada and Las Vegas. Very spacious and airy, there's excellent air conditioning, which is important if you 've been outside in the heat. It's part of the springs preserve which is also an excellent place to visit.
Springs Preserve, so many things to see, amazing. Friendly staff to further explain what you are seeing, and provide directions to what you want to see next. A wonderful afternoon.
Springs Preserve is our family's favorite place to visit in Las Vegas. It has something for every age and a fabulous restaurant with delicious vegan fare.
Feb 23, 2019.
It was free that day and one of our kids birthday. The hands on exhibit was the best that my kids liked. I loved the rocks, minerals and mining history. My husband loved the dinosaurs, wait, cross that. He loved the prehistoric and historic stuff. It was all educational and enjoyable.
THE BAD:
Cold day, could not do the water fun kid stuff. Too many rampant kids all over (mine).
Parents frantically screaming because they lost a kid (Me).
⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟
Well maintained historical exhibits. It's a smaller museum by museum standards and missing the interactivity.
I have many suggestions and adding a science and space exhibit with a star theater would definitely increase popularity.
With so much history, fossils, and so many people in Nevada and Las Vegas itself, I felt it should have been much more.... more.
This is a great stop while at Springs. The have amazing artifacts on the history of Nevada. From prehistoric times to mordern times. Amazing to see the history of the state right there. Exhibits were really well done. They have classrooms and a gift store. Great staff!
Fun place. Very friendly staff. Very well cooled despite the hot day outside. All the exhibits were well maintained and excellently done. Best deal is to get the membership instead of individual admissions. Lots of fun for the whole family! Highly recommended!
just enough to be interesting, happened to be there the day of a popular dog trick show. spent about 3.5 hours. staff is super nicr.
Great place to go learn about Nevada history. Gift shop is great! Definitely take water if you go on the train tour during the summer.
Absolutely love it, my kids were ecstatic about the giant mammoth bones and other fossils. I liked seeing the Vegas history. New building, extremely clean and a great break of AC from the hot trails/botanical area
I had amazing experience today, I learned a lot of history about Las Vegas, the casino industry the effect of people who tried to cheat the casinos , the transitions the casinos made to counter the crooks, I learned how Nevada and Las Vegas was established. Theres pictures from all eras of vegas from pre casino era till now, how major players have invested and kept vegas alive. They also have a live butterfly exhibit, a large area dedicated to plants and scents and how they create colognes and perfumes from plants.
Pretty cool small museum of southern Nevada's history. We were rushed thru , it was our fault for showing up late. But did see some cool artifacts. Glad it's free w paid entrance fee to springs preserve.
Amazing place. Neatly organized and very educational. My 4 y/o nephew and I really really enjoyed it!
I chose a glorious day to enter into the gardens of the Spring Perserve. Full if the beauty of the nature of the desert and excited children running here and their.
Very well done. It really takes you through the history of Nevada, which is unique in many ways.
Great museum and well worth the visit. Get there early so you can see everything it has to offer.
Really enjoyed visiting here, along with the preserve. Exhibits are very lowly lot and writing is small on some displays.
Learned a lot!
Interesting place to visit and discover Nevada's history with all living species in it.. good to have the kids as well, very informative
Was pretty good fun, went as part of the wider springs reserve. Some really interesting bits in here including some giant dinosaur skeletons.
Loved it so much to see. Must go to learn everything about las vegas and surrounding areas. Neat dinosaur displays
Nice History, loved the art and the story of where we've been. Getting around once inside can be improved upon; but then again it's can also be seen as an adventure.
I've Found My Folies Bergère Wedding Dress (and it's gorgeous) 😍 You too can find your perfect Love Vegas dress in the Nevada State Museum (I didn't say you could wear it).
The museum acquired stage costume like sexy jewel-encrusted thongs and cutesy feathered headpieces for one of its changing exhibits, Entertaining Las Vegas One Rhinestone at a Time. And if you are really, really nice to the staff, they may let you into the over 8,000-piece Costume & Textile Collection.
How can you not fall in love with these beautiful Jerry Jackson creations, like my wedding dress, um, okay, it's actually Mademoiselle de Paris 1983. Not that I'd wear it.
To ensure they fit into the custom costumes costing thousands, showgirls (the ones prancing) and nude or dressed dancers (the ones dancing) had to record their weight when they signed their contract. Sorry, but deal breaker! Worse, those who strayed too far from the original number received warning slips. Double deal breaker!
Although I could get used to the idea of men blending into the set to support the showgirls, symbols of ideal feminine beauty and a cultural archetype (whatever that means). Double winner. They embody that which women admire and aspire to and men yearn for. Now that's a triple winner 💕💕💕
Fabulous place to spend a few hours with kids or a good place to learn more about Nevada’s history. The food and views are great too! The wildlife is authentic and beautiful, I’m so glad Vegas has a place like this which is so inexpensive to visit or go to for special events.
Wonderful place to spend a quiet afternoon. Great for family, groups, or solo. Educational displays designed for total enjoyment.
One of the best museums I have ever been to. It is very clean and organized.
It's a nice place to walk around to get a minimalist history of Nevada settlement, US western migration, the culture clash between native nations and Las Vegas geography.
Great exhibits!!
Interesting history of Vegas/ Nevada are. Good for kids and adults, visitors and locals.
We absolutely LOVE this place!! And fully intend on going back, many times! There's so much to see and do that it can't all be done in one day. Even if it could, I'd still go back. It has something for everyone and of every age.
There's multiple museums to go look at , really fun for people from young kids to elderly.
Very nice display of past culture
The museum was impressive. It contained a natural history and state history exhibit with an additional third changing exhibit. If you are really into museums, I would say it will take you around 1-1.5 hours to see everything.
Lots of fun for adults and kids. Several hours of exhibits.
I take visitors here all the time. I always say, "There is something for everyone", and I'm always right. So much to learn and see. Very clean.
Pretty cool but come when it isn't super hot. Half of the stuff is indoors which is plenty good.
My son really loves this museum and we all do. Very educational for children and a very large area.
If you are at Springs Preserve don't miss out on the Museum! It doesn't take long and kids like it.
Such a cool museum, great attention to detail, well kept.
I recommend this Las Vegas attraction if you plan to do any sightseeing. Plan to spend a few hours or so. History buffs will enjoy.
We really enjoyed visiting this museum. They've done a nice job of putting together exhibits that represent what seems to be the best attributes of the state. It's not free but it's not expensive and it's well worth it.
A very nicely done set of museums. The museum displays are nice and not too crowded. There is an effort to incorporate sound and give a taste of the natural environment.
The museums at the complex cover both history and natural history - there are displays with artifacts that tell the story of Nevada's history and factors such as evolving climate, religious colonization, mining, transportation, military bases, infrastructure, and entertainment industries and how they shaped Nevada.
The museum works to incorporate Native American, female, Latin, and POC perspectives.
The Nevada State Museum caters more to adults, and the Origen Museum caters more to kids.
Both museums are family friendly.
The complex is large with a simulation of canyons among the walkways and an outdoor theater.
Good experience.
A museum without crowd is always a good place to good, as you can learn about the artifacts quietly and in details without rush.
First time there, signed up for annual pass, will visit more
Great historical items, stories and visuals, fun activities for kids/families. We did not visit the habitat/garden or animals we got there a bit late and only has 45 min left to browse through everything. You need to buy tickets online there are no ticket sales at the museum. Inexpensive field trip for the family.
Enjoyed this a lot! My 5 year old granddaughters loved looking at the fossils and rocks. Their favorite thing was the old phone booth lol.
Lots of fun! Great exhibits. My 4 and 5 year olds love it here. They close really early though.
Love coming here, so many cool things to see and the gift shop is awesome!
I bought this HUGE geode I get to crack open myself for six dollars!
Its always a pressure every visit we do where proud to me a member
Nice break from the strip. Beautiful. Great play area for kids.
It's amazing. There's so much to look at and a lot of history. It's inside the spring preserve...once you pay to get in, the museum is included.
This is actually several museums in one spot. The Nevada State Museum is a natural history museum that does an excellent job presenting the history of the area through the prehistoric era's, the Native Americans that lived here to modern Las Vegas. There is a natural flow through the interesting displays, my only complaint is some of the signage is small print and poorly lit making it difficult to read.
There is also the Origen Museum that provides information on the freshwater springs that attracted the original settlers. Interactive displays and several short documentary movies make a fascinating narrative.
Many of the displays are outside so dress appropriately. There are also changing activities for kids, best to check the website for current information.
There is a cafe on site that has sandwiches, pizza and salads. The serve a limited selection of beer and wine.
The staff throughout the facility is friendly, helpful and eager to share information. Visit and learn something new!
My adult daughter & I went to spend the day. We took our time to enjoy all of the interactive displays. The desert garden was one of our favorites.
There were live animals there for a featured show. We enjoyed the information for them & even pet a snake (boa) for the first time.
Very educational in a fun environment!
We visited last summer & after 5 hours still didn't get through everything. When we went this summer, it was to see other features we'd missed.
Love this place. I recommend to all ages!
A simple museum for a good day out. exhibits showing the geography and the cultural history of the state. great gift shop with nevada themed memorabilia.
So many interesting and beautiful things to see and do!
What a nice place to visit. From young child to elderly, it's worth it every minute.
This place was nothing short of amazing. I went with a group of people ages 5-60 & they ALL had a great time! Each area was educational, yet fun and there are plenty of hands on exhibits. The cost of a day ticket included the Origen Museum as well.
As someone who was not born here but married someone from here I greatly appreciate it it's a good way to learn the history about the state and people's history here very interactive very beautiful and detailed this is not a boring run of the mill museum and I will still go again just to enjoy it
Loved this place the butterfly exhibit was closed which was disappointing. Most of the animals didn't come out but I guess it's because they are nocturnal so its not the museums fault
Nevada State Museum sits inside the Spring Preserves. It has some very cool exhibits including some of Nevada's now extinct wildlife. It also has many historical artifacts that give you a look at what was going on here before it became a gaming giant. The museum is well organized and very colorful with it's displays. I had a good time and learned some stuff too. 😎✌
The outdoor space is not enjoyable from May through September. The museum is lovely. Great history, including Native American history and natural history.
Buy the year-round pass if you're planning on coming here twice. The museum and the park have been a place for wandering and relaxation for almost a year-- I'll likely buy another year pass again. The collection is easily perused in a few hours and well curated.
Nice museum. Went with a homeschool group so it was free for us. The actual price is quite pricey for what it is. I believe it's included with the admission for the Springs Preserve, so like a 2 for 1 which is great but I'd never pay full price to just go with my family. It's small, nice, and cozy.
Went here with kids, we loved the exhibitions and the playground.
What a wonderful way to spend the day. So much to see and learn
There was a free day at Springs Preserve, which is where the museum is located. The exhibits we're great. There are a lot of natural history and Nevada specific displays. Whomever curates the museum is doing a great job. But, if you value your own sanity and peace of mind DO NOT GO ON AN ADMISSION FREE DAY. There is a lot to see, both inside and outside, but with forty three thousand children jumping around, screaming, hollaring, pushing, and crying any sane person will be driven out of their bloody mind.
A very well laid out museum. Interesting exhibits of locally found dinosaurs, good examples of local indigenous people and settlers. Fun facts of gambling industry.
This was inside the Springs Preserve and is one of the reasons museums to visit in there. I enjoyed it a lot and spent more time than I was expecting in there. There were a lot of fun things to see and do. I highly recommend you bring your children here.
Great place for locals and visitors alike - lots of info about Nevada, from environment to industry. Probably best for kids at the grade school age or older - there are some activities and exhibits that might appeal to kids under 5 but potentially not enough of them to make it worth it.
Smaller museum with well maintained, interesting exhibits for all age groups; dinosaurs, local flora/fauna, history of Las Vegas and Nevada. Tweens and teens got a kick out of using an old phone booth, typewriter, and trying to write in cursive on chalkboards (who knew?) in the interactive display. If you're military there's a discount. If you have time you can also walk around the Springs Preserve.
The thing is, they talk it up so grand in the media, but when you get there not really all that great. This is supposed to be a state museum and although Dinosaurs were a part of Nevada, they should not be the main attraction. One whole side of the museum was closed off. So really all I got to look at was fossils and stuffed animals. There was a very small section on the Hoover Dam, and some displays about early gaming. But honestly, not worth the time. I can say with certainty I will not be going back. As a local, I think they can do much better.
I enjoyed looking into a little bit of Nevada history, notably, I came to know of Howard Hughes, who was an interesting contributor to Nevada, Las Vegas in particular; he seems to be a real life Gatsby and I am always struck by how fate twists and plays with human destiny. Another section was devoted to the show girls' costumes, very fascinating. The rock formations, the mining madness, the desert: enjoyed seeing bits of how these have shaped the state. Every tour operator, guide or lyft driver I met has such a sense of pride in their state and the museum sort of explains why.
Incredibly interesting and informative, amazing exhibits.
This is a must visit location in Las Vegas!
If you live in the area or are visiting for more than a few days.....
And you can upgrade your ticket to visit the other museums and sites on this preserve area too.
Worth a visit if you like learning and museums. And they have great customer service and knowledgable docents.
Definely a family experience you want! So much too see and very exciting. You will not regret
A little bit off the beaten path but enjoyed a lot
Only$5 right now. Great place to walk around. The history museum is only open on the weekends. Wear good shoes and bring water. Lots to see. I enjoyed it.
A few exhibits running, including natural history, local history, and a National Geographic exhibit. Granted, my 5 year old got a little bored. But she's 5. Myself and girlfriend enjoyed it quite a bit, and found it educational and intriguing.
Great museum worth visiting.
Part of the reserve your ticket for the reserve get you into the museum, amazing info about Vegas and all the history
Loved the spring preserve! Great experience for all ages. My family enjoyed all the interactive activities. Definitely considering a family membership to be able to go year round!
Pretty cool displays of Nevada historical items. Went with a bunch of kids and there was lots for them to touch and interact with. One of the better "museums" I have been to here.
Outstanding museum. It has every subject there. I could spend hours there.
love the exhibits, lots of information.
Pretty cool walk through exhibits, really cool to see where Nevada started and the detailed history of the states past. Quite, clean, and fun
A fun place to visit. Take your kids and spend time learning lots of things. The exhibits are really cool and a portion of it changes so you can go back often.
Everybody was extra friendly and helpful except for the grumpy afternoon shopkeep at the gift shop on the way out. He made us feel unwelcome.
First time visitors to the museum. My family and I are from California. We learned a lot about the state of Nevada from the early years, like how it got it's name to how the Hoover Dam was built, flash floods in the desert, casino history and how Las Vegas came to be. It is a clean and inviting environment.
If you love history this is the place to be the Spring Preserve has Trails museums I come here often because I never get a chance to finish one part of the area that I enjoyed currently I'm walking the outdoor hiking area of the preserve very enjoyable quiet walk you can hear the birds singing the winding blows the leaves of the trees very calming I do recommend it for anyone that wants to see wear Las Vegas began this is the place to be great for all ages you should be with your children but your grandparents with your date or you can like today by yourself and still have a great time.
Hello, my name is Estela I haven't visit this place yet, I just want to know if I go to the museum, do I have to pay to go the Spring Preserve to get to the Museum? Thank You,
I can't wait to Visit
Definitely a cool experience, kids loved the exhibits and all the animals/fossils
Best place in Nevada to learn Nevada history and desert geography. Live animals, interactive play stations for all. $15 or less per person. Walking, biking, running trails are safe here.
Very educational. The kids and us adults were entertained from beginning to end of our visit. The staff was very engaging, polite, and helpful.
There is a lot to see, but it could have better information on all of the areas that are available. There is the Navada State Museum, and a neat children's museum called the Origen museum, a butterfly habitat, nature trails and a nature exchange.
Love this place! Lots of activities, history of Nevada, plants and a train ride to an old fashioned town. Try the cafe, the $11 burger is delicious😋 …
Great place to learn about Nevada's history and foundation of Las Vegas. Learn about the Great Basin's history going back millions of years, from fossils, slot machines and WW2.
Really enjoyed this museum, but I wish had it some more in-depth exhibits rather than trying to encapsulate the entire history of Nevada from about 100 million years ago to the present.
Special Event was handled professionally and with kindness. Excellent venue. The preserve and museum are perfect for families and photographers.
The musuem was cool and informative and we enjoyed it. The outdoor portion was confusing to navigate we got hot and frustrated and gave up without seeing much of anything outside.
Community participation outstanding for events other than museum trip & hosts an array of non-profit activities. Love visiting for various experiences.
Great museum exploring the "other" side of Vegas: nature, pioneers, mining and the history of the indigenous people.
Great place for all the family!!
It's a wonderful small museum with large fossils and history
Nice museum. We visited because my daughter was assigned Nevada as her 4th grade project state. I'd say it was very much worth the visit.
Inside of springs preserve just one of the very wonderful attractions awaiting this historic place.
Great Museum, Botanical Gardens, and the food in the cafe was very good. But was disappointed that handicap parking was in full sun (98° - 100° mid-Sept.) while other parking was under shade.
Went with family and had an amazing time. We bought the family year pass because you can't see everything in one day, and the exhibits are always changing.
Fun activity to do with the family! Lots to look at and learn about, and a lot of it is hands on and interactive!
Wonderful place to go. Especially with kids. The dinosaurs in their exhibit are great. Good place to go when it's roasting in the summer.
Not a well-known attraction here in Las Vegas but for sure it's worth going to it's well laid out and put together and entertaining for all ages would definitely recommend a visit
Beautiful place. Loved it kid's did too.
Very interesting place to visit. A lot to learn and a lot to explore. We spent the entire afternoon there and did not see everything.
Very interesting I learned a lot I didn't know about Very glad I visit your Museums
Awesome and Air Conditioned lol! Truly a must see!
Super cool Little gem in the middle of the desert my husband took me here with my in-laws what a wonderful surprise has three museums in one a path for you to walk in the desert and Botanical Garden
Well organized and full of interesting exhibits. Larger than expected. Very enjoyable few hours visiting there.
Great place to take the family a lot of hands on exhibits and sanitize stations everywhere
This place is simply amazing, it's nice to know that we still have places like this where we can go to learn and or remember how the entertainment capitol of the world got its beginnings, not many places like this left.
Loved the atmosphere. Great place for older kids, not as much for younger children
At least not my 5 yr old
Great displays of Nevada history, for both adults and children. Right next door to springs reserve, another great place for kids.
My family loves coming here! We love the exhibits and we especially love the fun activities they have for my kids!
Smaller museum but nicely done and ready interesting artifacts.
This place is great for children. So many interesting facts about Nevada and it's beginnings. Great price too!
Love this museum. The mining exhibit is my favorite. There are also some really neat animal and fossil exhibits.
Really interesting large museum and grounds. Easy to spend a lot of time here. Friendly staff too.
Great family fun!
Very nice and well run museum, interesting to visit, good for kids. Although no real masterpieces to see, well worth a visit.
Loved it. Being here over 50 years, loved all the exhibits
Springs Preserve et al is my favorite place in Vegas. And the Nevada museum is packed full of interesting displays.
Great place for kids. Lots to see and do. The gift shop has great prices and the staff is very friendly!!
Pretty nice but not worth the cover charge use Groupon or POGO pass for better deal You will need several hours to see it all.
Very interesting and educational. Nice set up
A very cool place to learn about Nevada. Also it is indoors with AC so that is a plus
AMAZING! Great exhibits and a fun activity for my grandson
At the Springs Preserve. Go to the Main Entrance for tickets to both. Excellent and a must see
Very educational, suitable mostly for families with children museum covering early history and development of Last Vegas.
Tons of things to see! Couldn't see everything in 2.5 hours. Will be back! Worth the cost!
This is a fun place to go and has a lot of options. Little kids like the train rides and the bones of the wooly mammorh.
Love this museum! Everything from dinosaurs to showgirl outfits! Fascinating aspects of Nevada historym
Came for the dinosaur exhibit, had a great time. Was nice to walk through some nature close to home
I had never been here before and it was really great to see all the interesting things about Nevada
Wonderful museum! Definitely check it out. Great for kids and adults alike.
The garden was amazing and we learned tons of history about Nevada
A great place to learn about the history and culture of Nevada.
Very interesting, lots to see. I wish I had more time to spend there
Enjoyed 1905 town and outdoors. Train ride.
I love that they are part of the "Museums on Us" program from Bank of America. My son loves it every time we visit!
Vast museum with plenty of items to see. One may spend the whole day here.
Old exhibits very small and expensive for what is there.
Great place. Kids won't get bored. Nice museum
Very cool museum. Highly recommend.
Such a cool place! Lots of history and they make it interesting for the kids.
Awesome museum! Definitely recommend. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
Great place to learn more about Nevada history. Awesome fossils and artifacts from around the state.
I love the history of this museum, i was there with my kid he had a lot of fun
I think life is all about learning if we study what was we can attempted to influence the future this is a place full of information worth the visit
Always a pleasure visiting
Friendly staff, good exhibits. The kids learning center is always fun when it's open.
A nice thing to do! I'm not really into the overwhelming-ness of the strip. Quiet and pleasant, just like I was looking for.
Just way too expensive and not really that exciting. It felt more about big spend and lights than about an actual museum.
nice place to visit
A wonderful well hidden museum.
Awesome staff awesome exhibits great View especially at night. Covering from fossils to gambling in Vegas.
I enjoy Museums, they offer a lot of informative information. Employees are great, its kept clean as well.
Learned some new stuff this time... very neat place my 11 year old daughter fell in love with the place.
Everyone should go. Better understanding of how our beautiful state has evolved.
Super neat place to check out.
This is a great place, you need to visit. Great history for all of Nevada for adults and kids
My Family and I Love this museum its very clean well organized, Staff are very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
Love this place!!! This is a must as is the State Museum in Carson City to discover our Western heritage!
Great for families, had live animals too...lors to see and learn about the area
Very well done for a small museum. We especially enjoyed the mirror maze!
Excellent!!!! very beautiful place!!!
Great place to learn about the history of Nevada, great trails to hike on are nearby that are great to take the family
It was fun and educational but it was lacking in other things like active speakers
Fantastic small museum that details both the natural history and the human history of the state of Nevada.
Very cool look into what made Las Vegas so unique!
Very cool place to see. Unfortunately, some places are closed at this time.
Nice variety of things to see but several exhibits had projection and/or audio failures.
It's a nice little museum that shows the history of the Las Vegas area.
Shows the history of Las Vegas. Changing displays has little displays of various displays of different time periods.
Very neat place! I really enjoyed my time there.
Interesting collection of Nevada history, flora and fauna displayed in an easy-to-navigate space.
Well worth a visit

Perhaps the supposed bones of the ancient native animals are left over. They don't look real, just stuffing to encourage the dino craze.

It also raises awareness about caring for the environment and the rational use of energy. It is a place to come as a family and spend pleasant hours of family learning. Its visit is mandatory if you come to Las Vegas. Not everything is a bet, there are different options and this is one of the most outstanding. Do not miss the opportunity to make this visit.
