Totally awesome tour and definitely worth it. All of my kids enjoyed it. The free mini bat is a nice touch either. Keeping four boys from poking each other with them is a different story. After the tour you get to see the museum which has some nice extra items in it. We came on a holiday on the fourth of July weekend and only had to wait 10 minutes for a tour to start.

A fascinating place for baseball fans as well as those with just a passing knowledge of the game. Watch bats being created out of blocks of wood. When we were there, they were making bats for opening day. You can also get a personalized bat. There are displays highlighting baseball greats and other unique facets of the sport. A great attraction and an easy walk from downtown.

We really enjoyed this place! Great tour and I learned so much! I'm not a baseball fan, yet the rich history of the game, the process of making the bats, and learning about the players was incredibly interesting. I definitely recommend visiting, you will not be disappointed. We also got customized bats made. Very reasonably priced and it was only about a 15-20 minute wait.

If you you baseball and its history, this is a place you must visit! The visit includes a tour inside the factory where you can see how bats are made. The exhibitions are simply amazing! You can hold a bat that belonged to Babe Ruth in 1933, you can see bats from Joe Di Magio, Roberto Clemente, Jackie Robinson, Roger Maris, Tyler Cobb, and some other legends. You can buy nice souvenirs at the gift store and even get a customized bat. I highly recommend this museum.

We needed a stop on our road-trip from MN to Panama City Beach to break it up and stretch our legs and let me tell you this didn’t Disappoint!! Our teenage kids Loved stopping here and doing the tour! They were all very happy that we decided to do it! As parents that was a success! Best part is, Each person got a Mini Bat as keepsake with Tour Ticket Cost! No need to spend anymore in gift shop! 2-4-1 ⚾️

Had a wonderful time at the museum! My boyfriend is a huge baseball fan so it was really cool to learn how baseball bats are made. The factory tour was very educational. You get to see how bats are carved, how they are painted and finished, why the team logos are printed on a specific spot on the bat. I never would’ve guessed how manual this process was. And of course we love our mini souvenir bat we received after the tour.

Simply incredible. This place knows how to brand by making baseball bats interesting to even non-baseball fans. Great tour guide, as well as watching actual bats being made was fascinating. By the time you walk out of the factory you can't help but order a personalized slugger. Their marketing and resulting visitor experience is definitely on the next level.

Enjoyable to learn its history and H&B’s contribution to baseball. Plenty of information to read and enjoy without taking the tour. Highly recommend for all ages with it without children. For the tour is cost 18 per non senior adult. It was touching to hear a patron raise a Hank Aaron bat to his shoulder for a picture noting how he watched him in many games as a kid. Very much moved me.

This is a must stop place if you are planning a visit to Louisville. Parking is easy as behind the building is parking lot. You do have to pay to park. Around the area is the baseball walk of fame. Once at the museum you see the world's largest bat. Pictures can be taken anywhere in the museum and factory. You even get to hold bats from famous players like Babe Ruth or a member of your favorite team. You even get a free mini bat at the end of the tour

If you love baseball this is a must-see museum. Regular tour is fairly priced, professionally done with audio and video narration and a tour guide that was very fun, knowledgeable, and professional. Plus, you get a free mini bat for each paid person on your tour. Check out the gallery where you can hold the same bats used by Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron and others! Super cool experience!

Bucket list item done!! The tour through the museum was like feeling like a kid again. Interesting to watch them produce the worlds greatest wood bats live and in person. Awesome selection of Autographed Memorabilia and bats to choose from. This was certainly a treat during my stop in Louisville. Will never forget it and appreciate being able to attend the museum. An exact replica of Babe Ruth's bat, It's hollow and could hold 30,000 gallons of water. Always a wonderful time! We were last here in 2006 and had a great time then, as well as this visit. We took our grandkids and it was so fun to see their faces, learn about the history of the company and see the next exhibits since we last visited. We highly recommend spending a couple hours here and picking up your own personalized bat.

I highly suggest this stop for any baseball enthusiasts! The actual museum portion is small, but the real gem is the factory tour. You not only get to hear the history of the factory, but see how the famed baseball bats get made. You even get to touch the wooden billets for current pro players before they get milled into bats. There's also a great gift shop to pick up clothing or customized sluggers and a batting cage where you can try out different styles of bats. Overall, fun and educational stop that doesn't take all day to enjoy.

A must see when visiting Louisville. I would highly recommend the tour.. You get a chance to walk through the actual factory. Kids thought it would be boring but ended up really enjoying it. They also have the world's largest bat outside the front of the building!

In from out of town and honestly not that into baseball, but an overall fan of sports. The tour of the museum and factory really over delivered for me! What a great history and seeing the manufacture of the bats up close was really cool. I would encourage anyone to visit, if you are a baseball fan or just a fan of sports it will be worth your time.

The tour is super awesome. You get a mini bat with the tour. Even my wife who isn't a huge fan of baseball loved it. The process of seeing how a bat is made is pretty unique. You get to see the whole process and you get to touch a lot of the materials involved in the process. The tour takes about 30-40 minutes even though the site says 60 to 90. They have a batting cage where you can swing bats based off of pro athletes. Overall a great experience if you're in the area.

If you like baseball, you’ll love this place. Tons of baseball history and nicely presented displays. Great gift shop for everything Louisville Slugger. You can even special order bats with your name on it, just like the pros. For $2 you can select a pro’s bar and swing it in the batting cages. The ball shoots out at 45-50 mph, but is still challenging. A great place for kids and families.

I had a super fun time with my family (teenage girls). The tour guide had a microphone so you could hear what he was saying. You could watch both professional and commercial bats being made and learn about the different types of woods used. Safety was a priority and no one was in harms way. The tour group wasn't too big.. There was also historical components in the tour as well as the modern day factory. The museum was well organized and had cool pieces. It was wheel chair accessible.

Fun spot, especially if you are into baseball! We were surprised by this gem of a museum! We had an opportunity to hold the bats of Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron and touch life sized figures of famous players. They make bats at the museum too. Absolutely worth the trip!

We went to the museum on Friday after Thanksgiving, it wasn't too busy. We made it just in time for the next tour through the factory. We enjoyed looking at the exhibits in the front. It is a large room and you can quickly get through it. I think for a museum about baseball they would have more in the large room but it's mostly about the tour. The tour was loud as it is in a working factory, but it was informative in explaining each step in the process of making different types of bats. We brought our two year old and kept him in the stroller so he wouldn't run off during the tour which would be dangerous. The factory has yellow lines in which you need to stay in between to be safe. There is a video in the beginning of the tour which is short. The gift shop was nice and had a variety of items to buy. We bought an ash bat which was $99 and a magnet for $7. You can personalize your bat if you want. You do get a small bat at the end of the tour that you can only get for doing the tour. I would recommend going if you have sports enthusiasts!

We loved the tour and the museum. They have lots of stuff in the small museum area, which is actually free. The tour was cools to see. They also have batting cages with softballs where you can choose from a variety of bats. They also have an area where you can hold bats that were actually used by a player. We all had a lot of fun here. 😊

Really a great value. $18 to go through the Louisville Slugger factory and you receive a free mini bat. Good tour, very informative and you get to see real bats from some of the legends of the game in the museum. A must see if you're in Louisville.

Very cool tour and the history is very interesting. It is amazing that they have so many historic bats on display as I often think of these as disposable items. The tour seems fast but really shows you how the factory operates to this day making bats for consumers and pros on different lines.

This really is a must see for any sports fan. I am from the UK and have never really been big into baseball at all but from the moment you step foot near the museum and see the bat outside, it really is a spectacle. I don't know what I was expecting but I know that it when I left I was blown away by the whole experience. I couldn't believe it is still a working workshop, they fill you with great facts, they are different things to look at and for the younger audience, a chance to hold your favorite players bat and get a picture with it. A priceless memory for you and your family. A must do when in Louisville.

As a baseball fan l, this was a great experience and recommend checking it out if you are in the area! Absolute must! Incredible facility with all kinds of neat finds behind every corner! Take the tour while you are here as well! It's 18.00 and you get a mini bat at the end that they sell in the gift shop for 16.00! Soooo. Worth it! Plus you walk out with a healthy dose of knowledge about the bat making process and baseball rules of bat use in general. Even if you know baseball, you will learn something new. Also, the fact that you can hold a bat from some of your favorite legends including the great Bambino... Priceless!

This museum is fun even if you don't know much about baseball just like myself. You could hold some original bats that baseball stars have played with, and take pictures holding them. The tour is thorough and interesting, and staff are very friendly and helpful. You also get a souvenir small bat if you do the tour. Excellent!

Cool experience. You are touring the actual production facility for the Louisville slugger bats. Guys are working everywhere doing their jobs while you are visiting . Cool to see the whole process of tree to bat and then the finishes on the bat . Definitely recommend checking out this facility

Amazing experience! If you enjoy baseball, especially the history and lore, you can't miss the Louisville Slugger Museum! The tour of the factory walks you from the forests of Pennsylvania through the sorting and selecting process through the pressing the foil Slugger logo on the finished bats. The opportunity to hold a game used bat from some of baseball's greatest players (Ruth, Aaron, Griffey, etc) is the cherry on top of an all star celebration of America's Game.

Fun place to stop. Parked along the street in front of the museum. The ticket price for the tour, activities amd take home bat is worth it! The tour was very detailed and helpful for presenting and teaching each step in the bat making. Both my kids loved the experience.

I think this is a must see quick trip to see a working piece of history. Tour lasts about 30 minutes and you have to be assigned to a tour time. Awesome to see the inner workings of how the Louisville Slugger bat is created. There are other things to look at and learn including a batting cage. I was in and out in an hour and felt good about my time spent. Check it out while in Louisville.

Museum part is free factory you pay to see. Tour lasts under an hour and you get a free souvenir Louisville slugger bat at end. You learn the entire process and the difference between a regular person bat from slugger vs a true ball players bat. Highly recommend to anyone.

Very fun tour of the working factory where Louisville Slugger wooden bats are manufactured - you can watch the machines in action. Tours are well organized and led. There are exhibits with sample bats and figures of baseball greats with the ir LS bats. Tour goers receive a small souvenir bat at the end of the tour. There is also a gift store.

Exceptional experience. This is a real "factory" tour. Plus the visitor gets plenty of baseball history in the bargain. While waiting for the tour to begin, there's an excellent small, modern museum with the history of the bats being made, and the players who used the bats. The tour begins in forests of northern Pennsylvania - a video - and trees used to make the bats. Then on to the interior of the factory, and it is the actual factory making bats that will be used. The guide was outstanding and there were some parts of the manufacturing displayed on large screen TVs about the machines. The tour was just the right length and you get a free mini bat souvenir. Perfect.

Great tour. The tour itself is not very long but plan a little bit of extra time to walk around inside and out. Very interesting to see the process of making bats. We bought tickets in advance just in case but plenty of folks were buying at the window.

If you’re a baseball fan, this is definitely the museum for you! The tour is partly run by a tour guide and part video. They do a good job telling the history and keeping us engaged with interactive parts. At $18 per adult, you get a tour and a free little bat! It’d definitely worth it! The tour itself was about 30 minutes. We were in and out in an hour! Great little activity that doesn’t take too much time! There is paid street parking.

A road trip to Chicago took us through Louisville. We are a baseball family, so it was a "no brainer" to visit the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory. The tour lasts about 30 minutes as guests are guided through the actual factory that makes baseball bats for amateurs and pros. The entire process is explained: choosing the best trees in which to make bats, sawing the trees into workable blocks of wood, forming the blocks of wood into billets, putting the billets on the lathe to form them into bats, putting the pats through the sanding machine, painting or staining the bats, and applying decals. A live tour guide introduces each step of the process and short videos add additional information. Besides the factory, the museum contains some interesting displays. Plan for another 30 minutes or more to browse here. In the museum we were able to view a bat made for Babe Ruth as well as hold a bat belonging to Cody Bellinger, a former MVP for the Los Angeles Dodgers (our home team). Behind the scene tours in which guests are allowed inside an actual factory are rare these days. If you are in the area and have any interest in baseball, don't miss this one!

Awesome experience. Getting to see the process of the Louisville Slugger bats being made is very informative and quite interesting . All of the employees here were super nice. It’s a fairly quick tour but well worth it. Any baseball fan should come take the tour. Even if you are not a baseball fan I still recommend the experience. We made reservations as recommended. But when we got there we were asked if we wanted to go early. This was on a Thursday 2-23 so I am sure it's not busy. The people were all friendly. No video allowed, pics ok. $18 person. They were doing some renovations that didn't affect the tour or experience. The gift shop was well priced.

The tour was very interesting and exciting. You get to see how the bats are made and for whom they're made for. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. At the end we received a miniature Louisville Slugger Bat. I thought that was special. I bought t-shirts, pink bat, and magnets from the gift shop. I would definitely go back.

Very cool experience, especially for those who love baseball and/or history. My son was able to hold game bats used by legends such as Babe Ruth! Neat, right?! My family and I took the factory tour, which was fun, informative and pretty cool! At the end everyone received a mini bat. I wished our schedule had us taking the tour on the Saturday before Father's Day since they were giving away special Father's Day mini bats. Gift shop was nice with a Bat Shop that yiu are able to purchase personalized bats. Options for personalization came with a range of styles, colors, and sizes of bats. Many of them could be personalized and picked up within 15 minutes or so, while others would be mailed out to you for an additional fee. There are changing exhibits and a legendary bat vault of popular used baseball bats. They also have an indoor batting cage that pitches baseballs or softballs for a small fee. Overall, a very good family experience.

Attended with a private function and found that the museum is not owned by the factory. I was hoping that it was, to give the workers a better paycheck, however, this is not the case and they are just on display, getting not a cent more than they what the company is willing to pay. Clearly the company is owned by sluggers, just a way to avoid additional payments. For this, I am saddened to see hard workers continually pushed down for their hard work. I'm not sure I will support this in the future.

Louisville Slugger Museum is a must stop when in Louisville Kentucky! Located downtown Louisville you can tell where it is by the three story bat outside front door! The tour is about 60 minutes, you see all your baseball heroes bats there and see how they used to make them n you can even get your own bat made there! We visited the museum on a long weekend trip to Louisville. Was really neat to see the process of the bat making! I'm a huge Milwaukee Brewers fan so it was cool to see the place where Christian Yelich signed his contract with Louisville Slugger! The tour was very informative and cool to see the process live. You also get a free mini bat at the end of your tour! Make sure to check out the museum part and the gift shop, lots of cool items to be purchase! Would love to take the kids next time we are in town!

What a fun, history filled place to visit! Definitely a must stop in Louisville. Authentic bats are very reasonably priced and they offer affordable engraving services on-site. The scavenger hunt QR code on the wall was pretty fun too, we got a free rubber wristband and baseball card for doing it!

Very interesting place to visit even if you're not a fan of the sport. One of the better places to visit in Louiseville. Great pedestrian walking bridge over the river a bit further down the road too. Ypu can walk over to Indiana and some gorgeous little villages and cafes over the other side.

I lived in Kentucky-Ana for years and never went here. When I was visiting my husband wanted to take a tour. I regret my decision of never touring before! As an adult it is amazing. As for my kids they were bored. Highly recommended for adults.

Great tour. It's something everyone, not just baseball fans can enjoy. Starting with how the trees used to make the bats are selected through how the final finish is applied you get to learn about the entire production process and the history of this iconic brand. There's an opportunity to hold bats actually used by notable current and historic players. You can even get a bat personalized with your name or some other message in the gift shop.

What a cool place to visit if you’re into, or ever was into baseball. I used to collect baseball cards when I was a kid and was into all the stars, games, and stats. That was about 30 years ago and since then I no longer watch baseball and had forgotten it…till I walked into here. Really cool to see the stars from yesterday and today’s actually bats along with their stories. They also do custom bats on the spot. I had to get a mini Louisville Slugger (everyone gets one with the tour) so now I can feel like Negan. Enough rambling, if you like, or ever liked baseball, check this place out.

This was a fun place to visit. They have a good walking tour thru the factory tours start abt ever 5 mins. (You can buy tickets in advance) and a good gift shop. You can get personalized bats made while you wait. I'd say it would be a fun experience for kids 3 to 13. And anyone in to baseball. They have a museum area w lots of history and information plus life-size figures of baseball greats that you can take your picture with.

If you come and take a tour, do the private one. Ask for Travis because he was an excellent tour guide, and we really enjoyed the total experience, thanks to the staff and him. Our son also made some friends along the way, and one of the ladies in the factory hooked him up on the American Flag color L/S sticker logo for his personalized full sized bat they made for him @ the end of the tour. There is parking all around the plant, either metered our paid structure parking. There are a few food options around the plant also. We watched some of general tours follow a similar path as us, but they did not receive near the history or hands on learning we did when we were in the plant. If you choose a private tour, have an open mind, granted it's always great to have a favorite team, but if you tell them you just love baseball in general you will get a lot more history about the entire sport and game versus them telling you just about the History of just your favorite team. The Bat Vault was really cool, and it was crazy to hold bats that were close to 100 years old. The staff was really friendly and the over all experience was excellent. Wear closed toe comfortable shoes if you take the Private tour due to the machinery your around. No matter if you love Baseball or not, if you like Factories, History, and the Chase of the American dream this stop is perfect for you.

A must for any baseball fan. Just amazing how the factory works and how quickly they can make a great bat. Kids(13 and 9) had a blast as well. Don’t forget to take some swings in the batting cages. An amazing experience taking swings in the batting cage within the factory.

I’m not into baseball, but found the tour and museum interesting. The staff was friendly and answered all questions asked during the tour. Bought tickets online for 11:40 am tour. Missed the tour and it was no issue being moved to another time. There are signs in the gift shop: no matter the size of the bat they are not allowed in carry on luggage.

Ok so if you are a baseball fan this is a must go. The museum is open to the public but the real gem is the tour of the factory on site. Its on $16 (at the time of this review) and worth it. You will get to see the two machines that make every Louisville Slugger used in the MLB and yes I said two!!! Only two!!! You will get a free miniature bat at the end of the tour. The store has everything from bats that can be personalized to stickers and magnets. Definitely visit!

Everyone was right...this is a great tour. Dosen't matter if you are into baseball or not. Very entertaining learning the process of how bats are made. Cool to see their working factory and the tour guide did an awesome job of keeping us entertained as well as informed. Theres rons of stuff to do from batting cages, to holding the actually bats of some baseball legends along with a cool gift shop. Everyone on the tour gets a mini baseball bat.

Awesome experience, this place is a must visit while in Louisville. We spent close to two hours touring the museum, it was really cool watching how all the bats are made and hearing all of the neat stories. At the end of the tour we had a custom bat made for our son that we got in the mail a few weeks later when it was complete. As I mentioned earlier, this tour is highly recommended.

This was a great experience. We went on the tour of the factory the guide was great. Enjoyed watching the wood be shaved down into a bat and all the steps to complete it. The museum was very interesting and was overall a unique experience. For three people it was $42, and was worth it. The tour length on the website was very misleading, do not expect an hour long tour. They only show how they make the bats and how and what they're made of. At the end of the tour you get these little baseball bats as well. If you really want to learn about the Louisville Slugger bat history, I'd definitely recommend it.

Well maintained and clean, good for kids and adults. I learned a lot about baseball bats and how they are made and differences in manufacturing, and wood types. Great place to learn about the history of where the Louisville Slugger Came from ! This museum has a lot to offer and learn from. It has gift shops , a pitchers mount so you can pitch the ball ,you can have a custom made bat there, & they have the biggest baseball bat in the world right in the front of the building which is great for taking pictures! Nice little spot to take your loved ones to & especially the kiddos they'll love every second of the time there ! It was a little packed but soooo worth it ! They also have a tour on location to see how the baseball bats get made and how the 5th generation has made it then all the other family owned businesses! Fun Fact : Less then 1% of family owned businesses do not make it to the 5th generation of a family owned business! Now that's a little something you don't hear about everyday ! I have to say that my entire family enjoyed the experience here. We took the 30 minute tour. During the tour we learned a lot of history of the company and how the bat making process starts from the private area of wooded that is owned. Then to how the bat is cut from the logs to how they tailor the bat to a players needs. All Of your questions will be answered during the tour also. My highlight was holding a Rickey Henderson bat. You also get a mini bat at the end of the tour.

This is a smaller than expected museum (looked like they were renovating), but the factory tour was very interesting. The history here is unmatched and the process that goes into making Major League Baseball bats is amazing. We loved swinging the bats of Hank Aaron and others. We all enjoyed the over-sized mitt and bat and taking pictures. The surprise at the end was being able to take home a mini bat.

We've done the tour twice. It's an easy thing to do with no planning. Just pick a time and buy tickets online or just walk in. The tour is not as nice and personal as it was during covid, but it was still informative. Albeit a bit hard to see some things with such a big crowd. Seeing the bats made from the forest to the gift shop and all the pro players choices are awesome. The personalization is amazing too! Very cool place and you get a "free" mini slugger bat included with the 16 dollar admission. Kids under 5 free.

I really enjoyed going to the the Museum and Factory tour this past weekend. It is a fun attraction for people of all ages. Definitely a thing anyone must do if you are passing through downtown Kentucky. The tour itself is only about 25-30 minutes but just long enough to feel fully immersed in this process. It is $18 dollars for tour for adults, all tickets come with a souvenir bat made at the factory. Highly recommend!

Great museum experience. Tyrone was an excellant tour guide. He really added to the experience. Well organized and Ms Hess was an excellent greeter. This is every bit as good as Cooperstown. Just smaller. But this museum was hands on which really added to the experience. It would be tedious for someone not into baseball. But for the baseball fan, it was great. That said, refreshments would be nice. A place to sit for folks who need a break would also help. Highly recommend.

This museum knocks it out of the park! We enjoyed seeing the process of making a Louisville Slugger during the factory tour. Seeing all the artifacts were pretty cool in the museum part. The souvenir shop was a little under stocked, but a nice selection nonetheless. Prices for the tour and souvenirs were comparable. Bathrooms were well maintained and staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely a must see! Public parking just around the corner too, $6.00 for the day.

In the gift shop you can purchase a bat and customize it with name and message! It took about 20 minutes to get done after ordering. Included with the tour is a free mini bat to take home as a souvenir with the Louisville Slugger logo!

We really loved this museum and factory tour. The only reason I am giving it four stars instead of five is because our tour group was just too big. The people in the back of the group did not receive a great experience, as they could not hear the tour guide or see the video explanations. By the time they got to one of the stops on the tour, the tour guide was on to the next stop. Some tour groups are bigger than others, so just try to find yourself a quieter time of day to tour the factory, and you will have a five-star experience.

Tour doesn’t offer much, couple of videos and a few tidbits from the tour guide about bats. You get a free mini bat at the end. Best part of the museum is the area with the player models and life-size displays. Very neat. The store has a decent selection but is a little pricey.

They are also doing some extensive renovations right now, so it'll only upgrade the experience. They do have a parking lot, but we were able to get street parking.

Came on a Saturday with kids age 5 and 8. Public parking was easy. We bought tickets for the factory tour in advance and walked right in. The actual tour was the perfect length and the perfect pace. All told, about 40 minutes interspersed with short informational videos at 5 different stations. This was fun and interesting for both adults and kids, none of us big baseball fans. Actual MLB fans probably got even more out of it. Everyone gets a free mini bat at the end of the tour, so we were able to get away with not buying an expensive souvenir, although you can purchase an actual professional bat, if you wish. We only did the tour but not the museum.

This is a must see if you are in the Louisville area. Easy lot parking directly behind the museum for $6 for 10 hours! The museum itself is amazing. We are huge baseball fans and just the combination of history/stats used with each hall of famer and other players’ bats with the actual production, branding, and selling of the bats was really cool! Even better was that masks were not required so it feels like pre-covid time. The tour was great and really showed all the behind the scenes of how a bat is made from tree to store! Gift shop was cool but a little overpriced due to the brands they sell. A note for the museum. I love your magnets but a Louisville slugger bat magnet with the signature being your museum info would sell really well. I collect magnets and was surprised you didn’t have any bat magnets!

My husband and I visited on a vacation trip. We thought it would be much bigger and the tour take longer. The website says to allow 1.5 hours and it took us about 45 minutes. We spent more time in the store getting a custom bat made than the museum and tour. Overall really enjoyed it and the free mini bats you get basically pay for the factory tour.

If you are even a little bit of a baseball fan this is well worth your visit! Go to the museum! I learned all kinds of things from the very beginning! The tour itself is pretty cool - MUCH shorter than I was anticipating, but that wasn't bad. You can be done with the whole thing in an hour or less if you want. But you could also spend several hours looking at the displays and reading all of the information. Very cool! And a good price.

If you are passing through Louisville, this is a must see if you like baseball even a little bit! It has a very well done tour, and everyone gets a mini Louisville Slugger bat at the end of the tour! There is a part where you can hold bats used by some of the legends from the MLB, and they can tell you when they were used! There were also a couple cool demonstrations of how to make bats long before the machinery used today. Our tour guide was an expert in the history, which was awesome! I seriously enjoyed this experience, and highly recommend it!!

We went on a Thursday afternoon, there was no line for wait. The tour was pretty neat to see the history of the baseball bat and where it all came from. Where is a harvest trees in wood and how they break it down into an actual bat. You also get a small baseball bat souvenir at the end of the tour. We had an older gentleman as our tour guide, forgot his name but he was very thorough and friendly. Prices were reasonable, probably about $15/ticket. They do offer military discount. At the end of the tour you can go into a batting cage and hit 10 balls for $2. It is a functioning factory, so that was also neat to see. Would recommend for anybody who is a sports fan or wanting to learn something new about Louisville. We are not huge sports fans but it was still pretty interesting.

Loved the tour! Definitely worth the money. You tour the actual working factory to see the process of turning a wood cutting into a world-famous Louisville Slugger bat. The tour guide we had (Alex) was funny and engaging. The tour also includes a complimentary gift at the conclusion. Another really cool feature of the museum is holding and posting with authentic game-used bats from famous players (i.e. Derek Jeter, Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth). This is a must-see attraction for the baseball lover in your life. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Solo trip back in December 2020. The tour was great and Informative. Due to Covid, we all wore mask and precautions were in place. Not a huge fan of baseball, I can appreciate it but was a nice experience. Highly recommend for anyone with remote interest in baseball or sports. Was able to get complimentary gift after.

Factory tour was really well organized and informative. The museum part is pretty neat if you're a baseball fan or a bat enthusiast. Lots of interactive and demonstrative elements but you'll be in and out within 1 hour for the most part.

Well this was fun! I actually didn't get to go in as we just were passing by but I did get to jump out of the car to take a photo with it. Walking back to the car I did get to peek inside and saw a ton of sluggers for sale and adults and kids all seemed very happy to be a part of it. So forgive me if this is an obvious observation or if I sound just like an excitable tourist (cause I'm definitely that too), but the whole street this museum is on looks super fun with a ton of other things to do. Actually, the entire surrounding streets look super fun.

Made a trip up to Kentucky from Georgia just to visit here. It was so amazing, the staff was so helpful and friendly. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable about the entire place and was able to answer all the questions. The tour groups were kept small and everyone wore masks, they also were sanitizing the bats that you can hold from various players. I definitely recommend stopping here and the price of admission is way better than I expected.

Really fun tour with lots to see and do. At the beginning of the tour you watch a video explaining where and what trees they use to make the bats. Before the tour there are a couple of rooms you can go into and hold bats from past famous players to see what they feel like. After the tour you receive a mini bat to take home.

An amazing museum. We caught the final showing of the day and it was wonderful to learn more about baseball history and where and how these bats came from and how they are made. Wow, what an awesome place to visit! We had a blast and Natalie was FANTASTIC!! Thanks for an amazing experience!! We truly enjoyed the tour, the factory and the gift shop ^_^ If you want a personalized bat, they can do it right there for you in the gift shop. However, if you would like a custom order bat, you have to order online at slugger.com They explained that it has to go through the factory floor and can't be made right there while you wait. Totally worth it.

One of the greatest times. I had a group of friends go because we had to kill some time before we had our next event for my bachelor party. We saw all the memorabilia from signed baseball cards to signed bats and baseballs. We even got a chance hit some balls in the batting cages where we met a friendly employee named Renee. She was so welcoming to all my friends and very knowledgeable about all the questions we had about the museum. I will definitely have to go back next time I'm out that way.

They actually make all of the wooden bats here. It is not just a visitor center. But, it has one and to work, and great little shop! If you are a baseball fan, this is a must see.

My nephew is a huge baseball fan. Couldn't drive through the area without stopping! The tour guides are great and interact well with the guests. He got to hold Babe Ruth's bat, and one of the Brewers bats. He was like Charlie in Wonka's factory! He won't forget that for a long while!

Pretty cool location. For 15 dollars you can tour their facilty and learn how wooden baseball bats are made. I loved it. They even have a few baseball artifacts from players like Lou Gehrich and Hank Aaron. Parking will cost you 4 dollars in the parking garage if you make it a quick trip.

I can't say this review is based on an actual visit. I can say this is about my interaction with Ryan at the Museum and the staff there. Louisville Slugger is no longer manufacturing the beloved MLB Team Mini Bats. I have an entire wall dedicated to Louisville Slugger mini bats and needed my last 5 of the collection. I usually buy just before I head to the stadium. I have visited 25 out of the 30 MLB teams. And was near floored when I was told they don't make anymore. A Louisville Slugger representative sent me to the museum to seek my last 5 and Ryan took the time to allocate what I needed. He saved 13 yrs of travel and collecting. Professional and prompt with correspondence. The whole team is / was amazing. Can't wait to visit in person. Thank you.

Jim is a great tour guide; knows his stuff and demonstrates bat-making for you at the end of the tour! ***Your admission ticket includes a film (@15 mins), factory tour (@30 mins) & the museum. At the end, they also have a large gift shop with personalization/engraving equipment on the spot for the bats. **Only $2 for 10 swings in their batting cages. **They have all the current statuses of the league displayed in the main foyer. Plenty of photo ops in and outside the building (their 3rd location since the 1800s).

Great place to learn about how Louisville Slugger Bats are made and what type of materials and machines they use to make them. You also get a free souvenir bat at the end of the tour in the factory and you get access to see the Ripley's Believe it or Not "Bizarre Baseball and Wonders of the World"! The tour, museum is very nice and clean. The tour was quick but there are more things you can do besides the factory tour. There is also a gift shop inside with many items to choose from. Filming in the factory is not allowed, this rule kind of sucks. If I had to say one thing bad about the tour it would be that. Defiantly go check it out!

Look for the big bat just a couple of blocks from the river and you will find Slugger Museum. Make reservations in advance to be able to walk right in and know when you will be taking your tour, but you can also walk in off the street and get your tickets. It’s not free, but definitely worth the price of admission. Arrive early enough to spend some time in the museum before your tour. There are actual bats used by some of sport’s greatest stars, lego replicas of big league ball parks, places for pictures swinging a bat or with a star from yesteryear. Lots of pictures and lots to read, you’ll need a little time to get through everything. The tour is also outstanding. Lots on interesting information, pictures, videos, and of course actual people working on bats right in front of you. Great for the kids; but you notice and learn a lot more if you also go without anyone to watch over while you’re there.

I was like a kid in a candy store. The tour was great and informative. Just keep in mind that there is only one spot for cameras at the very beginning. The rest of the factory tour is no camera allowed. There is a lot that goes into the final simple way of making bats. The museum is very neat and don't leave without holding some legendary bats. You can even take some BP with some bats. But be careful, timing is hard to get with 40 mph pitches. Must stop if in Louisville.

Stopped in on our way home. Being a baseball fan I always wanted to visit the museum. Tickets were reasonable and we were able to get them the same day. Establishment was very clean with helpful people. Pre tour included a history museum with interactive exhibits. The factory tour was great with a step by step narrative of the bat making process. Tour included a free mini bat. A visit to the gift shop made the tour complete with the purchase of a personalized bat. A definite stop for anyone visiting Louisville.

Great museum with world's largest baseball bat out front of the building, a great photo op. You can even have your very own Louisville Slugger bat made there and tour to see how the bats are made. Cool statues of Babe Ruth, Cal Ripken and many other hall of Farmers, plus great displays of baseball history. For the baseball fan this and Cooperstown are the jewels of baseball history!

After the tour we made purchases in the gift shop, THEN noticed the factory outlet store across the hallway. It definitely has good discounts in the outlet that we wish we would've seen first. We could have returned our purchases and bought at the outlet instead but didn't care to go through the hassle. Just thought others might like a heads up to watch for that ahead of time :)

A must do while in Lousiville. The tour provides so much information ans history on baseball. You can see how the bats are made as well as hold game-used bats by greats such as Babe Ruth. The gift shop was great and offered a wide variety of sports memorabilia. Before you leave you can take some swings in the batting cage with replica of one of the greats bat. Very friendly staff who made suggestion about other local attractions and dining.

Very informative tour of the factory floor starting with how the wood is chosen, the different types, and the benefits of each. The tour took us through each step of the process while real bats were being made. The museum was also fact- and story-filled. However, we got to just "go in" to the little mall and read, take pics with the signatures, take pics of the factory (through that window), so that he could get the jist, and even took a pic of the BIG GLOVE. Great place to spend an hour or so in Louisville. Highly recommend the tour. Free mini bat with paid tour, so you’re really just paying for a souvenir bat and spending a couple bucks to see and hear the story of how they’re made. Kids loved it and I was impressed at the process. Also, check out the waterfront just down the road. There were several playgrounds and the bridges are awesome to see.

What an awesome experience! My kids have never been more inspired to go out and play ball! The tour was impressive. The attention to detail in the process was amazing to witness. It was cool to walk through a working factory while learning a great deal about baseball history. There were additional demonstrations in the museum portion as well and there were plenty of hands on opportunities for all. You could feel the differences in the wood, the cut, and even the finish of the different bats. At the end of the tour we were all given mini bats that were around $13 in the store! They have a generous military discount as well! The beautiful building and the street around it had a historic appeal. There was another museum just across the street. This was a gem of a find. My boys picked up some impressive souvenirs and are psyched to tell their friends about this cool experience.

What a wonderful tour this museum has set up in an actual operating factory. You get to see every step of the bay making process ans watch the factory workers at their trade. They even have an old lathe and demonstrate how bats were carved by hand, but also the modern computer program assisted method used to create identical bats unique to each MLB player.

Although I am a longtime baseball fan, I had never been to this great factory until now. The tour of the factory was really well done, despite ongoing renovations. Our tour guide had a good personality, and was well informed. Besides the tour, it also has the museum, batting cage, and signatures of all players that have used a Louisville Slugger in MLB games. Outside down the sidewalk is the walk of fame. You can see these bats and bases for free. You can look in some windows and see how they used to make the bats, go into the gift shop, and see the 120ft bat outside the museum for free. You can also pay admission into the museum and you get a mini Louisville slugger bat as a souvenir with admission. Great for all those who love the game and those who love someone who loves the game.

Great place to take the kids or the adult kid in you! Admission was very fair for the factory tour and then the museum. The free bat was worth the cost of admission alone! Museum store - you can get lost for at least an hour. The factory tour was very cool though. Seeing the bats made, dipped, cut, was a real treat. I was entranced by the legos!!

A must see place and bring the whole family. I'm not a sports person that doesn't stopped me from being curious and visit this Louisville jewel. The sidewalk, the facade and of course the main attraction a 40 meters tall 9 meters diameter bat made of steel and carbon that dominates the whole block. A full scale of the bat requested by the one and only Babe Ruth! Highly recommended in your visit to Louisville - Lexington metro area.

Very cool, especially for big fans of baseball. They have 9000+ players who have signed with them and allowed them to use the players names on their bats. The only player to sign a lifetime use though has been George "babe" Ruth. The tour is well worth the cost and very interesting

This is an excellent stop for anyone visiting Louisville. It's the only place that the Louisville slugger is made. They teach you some history, show you how the wood is sourced, and show you the factory floor as the bats are made. They even give you souvenir bat at the completion of the tour. We spent about 45 mins here.

This was a fun, educational, and unique experience. My wife and I both enjoyed our factory and museum tour. Would recommend this to anyone. This is a limited-time exhibit, but the Sandlot movie anniversary exhibit was great. We both loved the nostalgia.

Great experience for any baseball fan. The tour was very informative. They give you a miniature bat at the end of the tour. The admission included a small museum of exhibits as well. Coolest exhibit was the game used bats. You may pose for a photo with a bat from the team of your choice. My son chose Cal Ripken. For an additional fee you can also hit balls at the batting cages, visit the bat vault to hold a bat used by some of baseball's greatest players. There is a parking garage attached to the museum, entrance off of 8th. We paid $6 to park for about 4 hrs.

Another legendary place we visited while in Louisville. Louisville Slugger is synonymous with home run hitters in MLB. 80 percent of the hall of fame had contracts with Louisville Slugger. Lots of interesting information and a great gift shop. A really enjoyable experience.

We went on the tour. It was more for my husband who loves baseball but kept my interest throughout the tour. The tour is short and doesn't feel like it's drug out. It was less than 45 minutes and you go through different sections (only a short distance) and hear from multiple tour guides throughout in addition to audio/video clips. You get to see the actual machines that make the bats which was neat. They said it's the real working factory, but there were only 2 people making the bats; assuming more of the factory is outside of the public eye. You get a free mini bat for going on the tour and before/afterwards have access to a neat memorabilia area.

Love the pic in front of the huge bat, but if you are going on the tour for the mini bat, you can buy one in the gift shop and save yourself some money. The tour is mostly boring with one moment when you watch them burn the logo into a bat. Probably just as good as watching it on YouTube. No pics are allowed on the tour.

You don't need to be a baseball fan to enjoy your time here. I love to learn about how things are made and this tour did not disappoint. It is about 30 to 35 minutes. You aren't allowed to take pictures inside the factory but you can take them in the museum. My kids 7, 10, and 15 all found something that interested them. Definitely worth it and you get a mini bat at the end of the tour.

Very nice history and the tour is interesting. If you want to see it fully functioning with all areas working don't go on a Sunday. It was a big tour, probably 20+ folks. I would recommend ordering your personalized slugger before the tour if you want to leave immediately after, no food offered here. It takes about 30 minutes to personalize and if they are out of stock they'll ship.

Great 30 minute tour, I was able to be in and out with a few goodies from the gift shop. Out of the museum's visted in Louisville (Ali, Churchill Downs, & Slugger) I was able to get the most out of it in a short time. My recommendation would be about 90 minutes to 120 minutes to get the most out of ypir experience. If you just want to see the factory the tour was just shy of 30 minutes.

You can't go to Louisville without getting a slugger! In fact, there's a giant wooden bat outside the entrance that's bigger than the museum itself! You can't miss it! This was a great, interactive museum. The tour was nice, except tough to hear in some areas, but we learned how the bats were handmade, the types of wood used, and even got to see them being made. I was amazed at how precise they are. Then at the end of the tour you get a complimentary, authentic mini bat! The best part of the experience is a personalized, original Louisville Slugger that you can purchase in the gift shop. Whether you're a baseball fan or not, you will appreciate this museum!

We really enjoyed this museum. We went on a Saturday morning and arrived at 8:50a, we bought our tickets ahead of time so we could just go to will call and not wait in the longer line to purchase tickets. Our tour started at 9:25a- the first tour of the day started at 9:20a. The museum is the waiting area for the tour - they call over the loud speaker for tour times when it’s your tours turn. Overall it was a great experience, the staff was really friendly and made it easier for younger children to get up front.

The place is clean and the employees are nice. We took the tour and hit in the baseball cages. The tour is about 20-30min depending on the group size. The batting cage were $2, per 10 pitches. They have a large assortment of metal and composite bats to hit with, along with helmets. The gift store has a lot of baseball bats, some are blemished, so you can purchase those for cheap. Also, they can customize a bat with your name via laser engraving. Restrooms are large, and clean.

Top 3 manufacturing tours I've been on. Get to see the entire process beginning to end. The guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and welcomed questions. The museum portion was really neat, and the handle template room was breath taking. Only suggestion would be adding a second pitching machine and cage. Swinging a 125 grade bat was a great experience. Note price of admission includes a mini-bat souvenir at the end of tour.

Have been to the famous Slugger Museum. Seeing all the famous baseball outfits is just outstanding. The factory tour is neat and have never gotten tired of going to it. In fact, just about every time that I see the Museum, I always opt for the factory tour too. We enjoyed the Louisville Slugger Museum a lot. We enjoyed the tour, wish we could have heard better but everyone in our group was loud and the tour guide was doing the best he could. Our son turned 14 today and we spent it touring the museum. He loves baseball and loved holding some of the greatest players to ever play the game of baseball bats. We got him a personalized bat and he had to have a few other souvenirs.

The museum is fun for all ages and you get a bat for going on the tour. There is a huge limestone glove small kids can climb and their a short film that is good to watch as well. You can park in the back and take the elevator right into the museum and the Frazier museum is right across the street if you want to plan something for the whole day. This is and has always been a great place even when it was the Louisville slugger bat factory located across the river in Jeffersonville, Indiana. There is a nice gift shop that has alot of souvenirs...enjoy your visit!

The museum is great as well. My whole family enjoyed it. The kids really enjoyed getting to hold Ronald Acuna’s bat and Cal Ripken Jr. bat. Would definitely do this agai.

Don't even like baseball. But I loved the museum. It was so much fun to see the creativity and Artistry behind bat making into see a glimpse into the history of not only our city but the sport of basketball. Even though the museum is small, there are some fun things to do. There are batting cages in the back and a virtual reality pitcher mound. Definitely check it out the wait until you get that cultural pass in the summer.

Our group are baseball fans and we enjoyed the history and mechanics of the use and making of the baseball bats. The nuance of the bats, signatures of the players, and the contracts was a part of history that brought out the relationship between the players (such as Ruth, Mantle, through the current players) that was the genius behind the development of the current bats. Well worth the time and a must see if you are a baseball fan. Enjoy.

This place is a must do for any fan of baseball. If you love the game, bring some Kleenex. The have a selection of top ball player game played bats that you can hold and stand at the plate with. I'm not sure if they change them up. Mickey Mantle, Johnny Bench, Pujols, Andre Dawson and so forth. They also had a rack of bats from other players. The evolution of bats, including today's current bats both wooden and aluminum are on display. Memorabilia for all the great hitters are also on display. The tour of the factory was really interesting. They started with a replica of the first bat (so huge and heavy!) And take you from the days made in a lathe to CNC machines today. They have a some freshly made bats for some MLB players getting ready for shipment. Pretty neat. There is a pitching game to see how fast you can throw and you can stand behind plexiglass to get an idea of what it looks like to have a 90mph fast ball come at you. I may stop yelling at the t.v. now :). I would return to watch the movie in the theatre and also explore more names on the wall. There were a few I couldn't find. Definitely worth the time to check out. Est time spent inside would be 2-3 hrs to really check stuff out. Have fun!

The museum is amazing and gift shop has a wide selection of things to buy and very reasonably priced. And to top it off they let me hold a bat that Babe Ruth used in a game. Talk about a memorable moment for a baseball fan.

We popped in during a family road trip at the very beginning of August. The public parking was only $6 which is very reasonable for an all day rate. There is secondary parking at $7 which again isn’t terrible. The museum is very small and I don’t think it should be called that. There isn’t really a lot to look through. They have done an amazing job ensuring all baseball teams are represented to engage any fans of the game. They do have game used bats from a lot of players you can hold and have your picture taken with. It’s definitely a fun family activity. The tour is pricey and does include a mini bat at the end. Our tour guide was friendly and made the factory tour fun and engaging. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. It’s worth a visit.

This is not really my cup of tea but I went with a friend on a work trip, since we had some time to kill. There wasn't really any weight getting in, and it was about 4:00 in the afternoon I think on a weekday. We opted for the tour, which was $18 for an adult, but you are also giving a complimentary mini Louisville slugger bat at the end, so the value was worth it in my opinion. The bats themselves, the mini ones go for I believe it was $21 for two, but don't quote me on that. The regulation size were $60 and then to have it personally engraved with $20, but they do have to mail it to you, so we didn't go that route. Definitely a nice little way to spend an hour, the tour itself was 30 minutes. I was interesting even for someone who's not into baseball or baseball bats!

After spending a lot of my life visiting family in Kentucky I had never made time to go the the Louisville Slugger Museum. I'm so glad I finally made a visit. It was very interesting to find out information about all aspects of production. It was also neat that the name of the player who they are making specific bats for is on a board on the production floor. The tour guides are very informative and interesting and the gift shop has some very neat things. A must for baseball fans.

Went on a Sunday so parking was free downtown. Neat little museum to walk through either before or after the tour. Tour was informational and guide was enthusiastic. Most of the processes were in operation at the time of tour and you could witness it real time. But for the times that the processes weren’t ongoing, there were videos for you to watch. Kind of like watching How It’s Made. Overall, glad I finally checked this museum out having lived in Louisville a big portion of my life. You get a little bat at the end of the tour so that was a nice little souvenir. Spent maybe an hour total at the place.

They have worked hard and developed an amazing product that has been around for over 100 years! And still the industry standard for bats. As expected this place does not disappoint with its rich history and cool displays. Taking the tour is a definite. Fairly priced and lasts about an hour then you get a mini complimentary slugger bat as you depart the tour. Allow for at least two hours for the exhibits and tour. Personalized full sized bats are not bad and run in the $60 to $80 range with many kinds to choose from. Only takes about 30 minutes to make. Only wood bats made here, no composites.

The Louisville Slugger factory tour is very interesting. I really enjoyed learning how these iconic bars are made. The process is very involved but easy to understand. The guide was helpful in explaining the history and modernization of the factory and the bats themselves. The museum portion was fun too. This place is great for kids and adults and provides play areas for children. You receive a mini bat at the end of the tour, which is a nice souvenir. The $14 tour cost is very reasonable, and there are plenty of picture opportunities at the museum, but none allowed in the factory on the tour itself. I would definitely recommend making taking a visit!
