Reviews of Colonel Sanders Museum (KFC Founder)
The animatronic Colonel Sanders alone would make this worth your time, but there is also a room full of chicken and Sanders related memorabilia. It’s just one room , but it is free and a fun visit. I liked it and while it doesn’t have much to bring you back, I would take an out of town visitor who appreciates a good roadside attraction.
I will give the receptionist 1 star for looking at me like I was the least welcome visitor ever.
It is a small but concise little museum that tells you the story of the colonel. It is free and open and an animatronic Colonel Sanders meets you at the entrance. It's a little bit of a read so kids may not be as into it. But it is a nice slice of history
Very interesting and neat history of Harland Sanders' life and career. Check hours before you go to be sure they're open. Highly recommend!
Pretty small place but full of information about the man who created the KFC brand. Definitely worth a stop to fill in with an hour of entertainment. The cost is free and they have the best animatronic I have ever seen in my life. Worth a stop to look at the gorgeous building the mesuem is in.
Fun little museum. The entire museum takes up the space of one room. It's a nice tribute to Colonel Sanders.
It’s small but worth the visit. Took us about 20-30 minutes. The one room museum was done well, and the animatronic Col Sanders was very realistic. Enter the property at the gate to right of the house. Visitor parking is inside the gate on the right.
Unfortunately I didn't see inside because its a weekend..However it is cool from outside..
We wanted to stop and visit the iconic Col. Sanders. He kind of freaked us out upon welcoming us. The museum in small but definitely worth the price (free). I was hoping they would have some kind of gift shop there but they didn't. Still it was worth our time and we enjoyed it.
Three tweenagers, with whom I was traveling, wanted to see this museum since they were in Kentucky ~ we showed up during "regular business hours M-F" as it said on their website. Apparently, they close early on Friday. We were in town from Oklahoma and headed home the next day ~ a kind security guard let us in for a brief visit anyway ~ it is a very small museum ~ but, interesting ~ complete with inspirational quotes in the Colonel's voice!
A great museum and a gift store. KFC needs to revisit their guest admittance policy to the gift store. The security guard would only let a guest in the store to purchase promotional merchandise if you had a meeting scheduled at their corporate office. Very bizarre!
I agree that it is a small museum with colonel Sanders robotics being a little off putting but I did enjoy the museum. He was a good man it seemed. And the grounds around the place are wonderful, go for a walk after wards
It's free, it was a small room to the right of the entrance of the yum building. Took about 5 minutes to go through.
This was fun ... :-) . Only takes about 30 mins . It's free and they have the best animatronic I have ever seen ! Sometimes they have toy KFC Halloween bucket for the kids . Really cute .
I learned a lot but it's little small
Great little place. Was disappointed the gift shop and the restaurant was closed. But still a eat place to visit.
The Colonel Sanders Museum will be closed Monday, June 20, 2022 in observance of Juneteenth.
It was a nice visit. A friend from Japan enjoyed it.
Nice place to learn about the Colonel Harland Sanders
Fun not that much
Entrepreneur's historical place!
Highly recommend to stop at. It's a small. Ut great museum.
Visited 20 years ago. The cooking utensils used at that time were on display.
