Reviews of NCAA Hall of Champions
Dave Ross
I really enjoyed the Hall of Champions. There were great informational displays for all NCAA sports and really fun interactive displays. Highly recommended if you are a sports fan! It's not huge, an hour is probably sufficient, but I wouldn't allow any less than that or you'll have to rush through and not have time for the interactive displays. An hour and a half would probably be better. Very reasonable admission prices.
Ro Po
Awesome place for sports history. Quick and easy to tour through, with interactive activities and video shorts.
Micholene Marczak
We had a great visit here. They have great displays with screens to play some trivia games as well as a few stations where you can try a few virtual sports. The exterior is a gorgeous park and courtyard with a small waterway where people can rent paddle boats or canoes. Great place for some family fun!
Kirk Brown
The exhibits were interesting and covered all NCAA sports. However, it definitely felt that this breadth came at a huge cost to depth for all sports. Each sorry was just barely covered. Overall, this was rather disappointing. However, the cost relieved this as well, so I didn't feel "cheated" on cost. Just don't go in expecting anything more than basic surface level history.
Becky Turner
We felt very welcomed. The staff was kind and shared great knowledge. We really enjoyed all the displays. Very nice place and experience.
Jason Kester
We held a private event at the HoC and it was a great venue. From the interactive displays, to the excellent support staff, and the spacious museum and display space, it was the perfect site for our corporate event. You can do everything from shooting basketball, to throwing footballs, to hitting golf balls, you can do it all at the facility. Another neat aspect was the banners from all the NCAA champions from the previous year. Great experience that is worth a visit if you're in Indy.
Ivan Porter
While the NCAA may be a bit of a joke this place was nice! Fun for the whole family. Informative and wholesome how I spent here. Hands on entertainment.
Jeffery Nielsen
Fun small museum that has a few sports activities on the second floor. It's pretty small but its cheap .
Tammy Koger
The displays downstairs were kind of boring. But the interactive games upstairs were fun!
Well worth the price to get in!
Bob Carnahan
Almost anything you ever wanted to know about college sports history is just waiting to be discovered on the banks of the downtown canal in Indianapolis. The NCAA Hall of Champions is a fun and educational way to spend a couple of hours, or more. From women's sports history (Vasser's women's baseball team in the 1800s) to all you ever wanted to know about college mascots. Sprinkled amongst the history are interactive displays that allow visitors to test their knowledge of college sports trivia, soccer skills, pitching skills, and basketball shooting. The minimal cost to enter, $5, was well money well spent considering the educational and entertainment value.
Yvette Keene
Absolutely loved taking the kids here. They definitely enjoyed the second floor more than the first but it was good to see history on all sports. Will visit again and suggest anyone to at least visit once especially if they are in the area.
Sandy Jude
We went on a field trip with our youngest to the NCAA Hall of Champions. I don't watch much college sports so I didn't have high expectations but was really impressed! We all had a really good time with all of the exhibits they have for people of all ages. Very interactive! I didn't expect to see my college alma mater, College of Mt. St. Joseph and tribute to Lauren Hill. It was very touching and having a mother currently suffering from terminal brain cancer, means even more.
Vincent Morretino
It's a really neat place if you are into sports. In the hallways by the conference areas, there are some gorgeous painting, illustrations, and photographs on the walls. Honestly, i liked those more than the exhibits on display in the main part of the building.
Miss Andrea Reads
To me personally, this isn't a very exciting place. However, my 11 and 8 year old sons love it! They're huge sports trivia nerds. We spent a few hours and they weren't ready to go. I did like the movie about Pres. Roosevelt and the history of NCAA. Also, the staff was amazing with the kids. So friendly and outgoing.
Andrew Graves
Enjoyed the switch up! Everything's interactive! Definitely enjoyed the museum's personnel giving extra knowledge
Sean Lehlbach
Cool place for college sports buffs. Lots of fun history behind how the NCAa began and each of the currently recognized sports. Also highlighted how women's sports began to enter the field in the college realms as well. You could spend about an hour here and get a quick snapshot or really soak in all the knowledge in about half a day. Fun activities for kids and adults who like to be kids too!
K Madd
Great interactive exhibits and a friendly staff. Young kids will love it.
Amber Kimbrell
Some cool aspects- interactive games upstairs, basketball court. Didn’t feel like I learned very much.
April Bladen
Nice place for college sports. Love the interactive exhibits and scavenger hunt. Kind of small but we still like it!
Geoff McCuen
This was a nice "little" museum. I guess most sports may have their own halls of fame, so they may not have access to a lot of memorabilia. I just expected more for being the whole nation and all major sports. What they have was well presented. Nice coverage of female athletes and the HBCUs.
Tonya Duncan
Always a good time! Promotes lots of activity whole there! Enjoy thoroughly!
Paul Knickelbein
The place is small but has lots of awesome history! Many hands on opportunities and kids love it.
Angela Davis
Visited on national museum day, which I thought was worth it. The museum is quite small, but has many engaging sections. My favorite area was by far the upstairs with the various interactive exhibits to play with.
Owen Beute
This is a fun little place for sports lovers of all ages. There’s a lot to look at if you really dive into each interactive exhibit. It’s one of the most interactive museums I’ve been to, actually- the ability to even go shoot historic NCAA basketball shots on a court is really special and unique. Great stop if you’re in Indianapolis for a while and have done a lot of the bigger stuff, or if you’re super huge into sports like my party.
Jeremy Dawson
Worth it for the cheap price of admission. 2nd floor exhibits are fun. 1st floor is pretty bare bones on history, I wanted more memorabilia.
Renia Edwards
Mississippi Valley State University enjoyed our visit to the NCAA Offices and the Hall of Champions! Great place and beautiful building. Thank you NCAA staff!
Anika Isom
Only $5. Great place if you like sports.
Kylie Lockett
Was a great time looking at different historical moments in time. Very interesting and fun for kids interested in sports!
Mitchell owsley
You don't walk in a tour but the museum was still nice.lot of interesting college sports artifacts and encouraging quotes as well.
Danny Adams
Good display of memorabilia but the interactive games were the best part. Luckily it wasn't crowded when we were there but I would see it being pretty I enjoyable if it was a busy day. For $5, it was good entertainment but don't expect to spend more than 2 hours inside.
Matthew Hiserodt
Really nice area - centrally located parking garage that is not crazy expensive. Pedestrian only area with lots of open space that connects to the canal. Numerous other museums and places to visit in walking distance.
Museum itself is dirt cheap - $5/adult $3/kid I think. First floor is a bit boring and basic. Top floor all interactive and hands on. My kids spent about an hour here and enjoyed it. Worth an hour visit for sure but don't expect much more than that - you get what you pay for.
Robert Ruble
Great place to visit if you're a college sports fan.
Joshua Weaver
Fun experience for $5. Downstairs in interesting. Upstairs is fun and interactive.
Carmen L. Throckmorton
Pretty cool place kids liked it !!!
Jeffrey Goodrich
Worth the price of admission ($5) only because the price of admission is low. If you're going to see something specific, it's probably fun to see some memorabilia or stats for your favorite college, otherwise, the displays on the bottom floor were pretty boring.
The top floor has some fun activities (tiny basketball court, interactive football/soccer/baseball game, other displays), but it's not enough to pass more than an hour tops. Parking is in an underground lot that is across the canal. Parking is $5 with validation after visiting the Hall of Champions.
Ethan Brunson
Great place to go for a bit uf fun and to learn some cool facts! Not busy at all when I went. Some cool activities for kids to enjoy as well as the adults. It's not as big as I thought it would be bit it is well sized. It is a bit of a walk from parking but is wheelchair accessible. Has a nice view of the river as well.
Aaron Estevez
I've been here twice now as a teacher with our 8th grade students on a field trip. It's been fun and enjoyable for the kids both times. The staff are friendly and helpful. You can tell they are big college sports fans, and they know a lot of history. There's an 8 minute video you can watch about the origins of the NCAA, and then there are interactive displays of all the official sports with information about them on the first floor. Upstairs, there is a small basketball court that demonstrates how the sport has changed through the years. There are also a few other interactive exhibits upstairs. There are two Candy Crush touchscreen games, a thing where you can test your vertical leap, and two areas where you take shots on the goal for soccer with a game. Good time!
Eric Seymour
I was in Indy on a business trip recently, and this was a fun way to spend a spare hour. The interactive displays were nice, but I was expecting there would be more historical displays. Overall it felt more like a promotion for the NCAA than a museum. But if you like college sports it's worth a visit.
Melissa Wonderlick
I attended my boyfriend's work holiday party here. Appetizers were good. The beer and wine was moderately price. We were severed, salad, bread, main course, and dessert. The food was much better than I had expected being a catered event. I was pleasantly surprised.
Nathan Manias
This is a good museum, but it is a bit lacking. The first floor left me rather disappointed that we paid, but at least the second floor is great! The whole museum is very interactive, but is only something I would want to go to one time. A good thing about it is there is a student discount!
Benjamin Todd
Very inexpensive museum. I really enjoyed the fact that it is very interactive. It could however use more historical artifacts or original jersey or shoes that were used by collegiate stars. It could also use a key to allow me to understand D1,D@ & D# and other designations used at the collegiate level. Kids will have a blast here.
Laura Garn
Fun interactive experience with the kids!
B G
Was here for a professional event. The space is fantastic, although the novelty of the interactive attractions wears off fairly quick. So if you're hosting something here, either have specific activities planned or have enough people that people don't end up bored.
Jeremiah Tworek
This place was awesome! I loved how the campers wanted to know all there was about the NCAA and how it was established. It was pretty neat to watch one of my former athletes talk in the video they show you as part of the NCAA experience. Will definitely be going back.
Kimikiwi Andersen
Cool interactive experiences to help you learn about college sports! Would definitely go again :)
Eric Sherman
This place is amazing from the pictures and statue's, to the great people and staff working there.
Anthony Holman
A great place to spend some time. My family loved it, the interactive games, the scavenger hunt, the theatre, were all top notch. The ambassadors were also very knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely a must visit if you are in Indianapolis.
Ryan Otte
I agree that it could be a bit more expansive, but the interactive exhibits are such a blast. From the awesome trivia games to compete with your friends to shooting baskets from spots based on legendary NCAA basketball moments, the interactivity really makes the experience.
Tianze Peng
It's okay. Several facility were closed it out of order.
Oluwadara Akinbola
My opinion may be a bit centered since I wasn't there for a meeting. But nevertheless, the NCAA Hall of Fame was an incredible experience for me and my classmates! In one of my elementary schools, (I moved a lot) we went and did many athletic AND fun stations. I will never forget that experience. (Especially since it happened about over a year ago.)
Dan Jeffers
Great for the kids. Excellent history and attractions. I just thought there'd be more. Don't expect to spend a whole day there, but you can easily fill a couple hours.
Tyler Peacock
Balling on a budget? For only $5 you can become enlightened on the progression of NCAA student athletes. Very informative. You'll do a lot of reminiscing and maybe even break a sweat on the second floor after you've engaged in the activities including soccer and basketball.
Jacob Edmisten
We are currently meeting in this space for a training. It is a great space that's nestled right up against the canal and the river. There are lots of different things that are reflective of the NCAA over the years. It is a beautiful building inside and out.
Derrick Shelton
Very informative just a little small but it is only $5
Colleen Piel
We thought the first floor was fun and interesting and then we got to the second floor, which was even better. So many interactive exhibits! We learned a lot and had a great time!
Daryl Allison
My sentiments were echoed by others. We walked in wanting a hall of fame of our favorite NCAA athletes and memories. Instead we were created with a historical exhibit on the NCAA and events related to it. Go for the educational opportunity, but not for the star gazing nostalgia.
Jared Woolly
Interesting visit for college sports fans. It is more a celebration of the NCAA than of college sports heroes and highlights, but I still learned some interesting info. Definitely worth a visit for college sports fans, especially if you have a bit of time to kill in Indy.
Alec Temple
Pretty fun place overall. Took me and my wife about an hour to go through it all. There isn't a whole lot to do if you don't have kids with you though.
D Lloyd
Very nice place with lots of information about NCAA Sports history. But seemed like there should be some more about current Champions as the kiosks were not updated with especially Division 1 School 2018 results
Mindy Craine
Best place in the whole world!! It was SO informal and interesting!!!
Rob Glenn
An amazing homage to college sports! Very fun!
DeJuan Conley
Small museum but lots of education and things you can learn in the interactive room in which you can do trivia
Antonio Montana
An OK museum for sports fans. Interesting exhibits.
Matt Miller
Such a cool place and a hidden gem of sorts in Indianapolis. My kids love shooting baskets in the gym but learn a LOT about the various NCAA sports in the exhibits.
Brad Berg
It's fine. I really like museums and this place is a little boring. It's too bad that individuals are not recognized (All-Americans, e.g.).
Cesar Lopez-Garcia
An unbelievable experience. Best sports museum I've ever seen. If you've never been to Indianapolis, I'd recommend you to come to the museum. Even if you dont like sports, you will like the museum
Robert Kirtland
Great place to spend a couple of hours in downtown Indianapolis. Multiple interactive exhibits and games. My family enjoyed this venue. I would return.
Debra Paschall
Not as much to see as I was expecting. Also there was a couple of class field trips going on, so missed some exhibits. Other wise it was fine.
Jason Mccormick
Amazing place to bring your family!
Blake G
Underwhelming. If you're nearby and need to kill some time, go for it. But don't plan to spend more than an hour there.
Alex Passini
In Indianapolis for a conference and the social event was held at the NCAA, a little crammed for space with over 500 ppl, but the facilities looked good. Very interesting history.
Alexandra Alvarez
Great museum to go to! Lots of interactive games and it changes all the time. For $5, you can’t beat it.
Chris C.

Robert D Jones
AWESOME!
Sarah Landers
They did a nice scavenger hunt for our students and gave the winning team a prize. Made the museum more exciting.
Maria Schwartzman Webb
There isn't a ton to do here - we could do everything in 30 minutes - but they do have a few neat things like playing virtual sports with real balls (football, baseball).
Clemens Heller
Fun experience for 5$. You will get some information about the different NCAA sports and there are some interactive experiences.
Sean Richmond
