Reviews of Conner Prairie
A little away from main indianapolis city, it's a farm land with its own historic importance. They tried to maintain this place as if time clocked 200 years backwards in Indiana. But overall not a very-well managed one, and too hot out in summers. I don't think you'll miss anything if you skip this in your visit to Indianapolis. All in all a dry, undecorated place with rough farm land mostly. Balloon ride will cost you $15 to $18 extra on top of your entry ticket. Cafe is overpriced considering the location. Even very basic plain patty burger will cost about $12 while you sit out in summer. Children play areas are pretty good (specially the air conditioned indoor one), and small children will surely enjoy it a lot. If you're visiting Indianapolis, consider taking Indy Pass. They cover 8 places in their $48 day pass, and Conner Prairie is one of them. It's a good deal if you know how to best utilize it.
Conner Prairie is a good place to spend the weekend. There are lots of attractions and activities. Visit the museum and village. Experience corn maze. Get the feel of riding in a hot air balloon. General admission is expensive ($20/person) but kids and seniors get some discounts. We visited Conner Prairie for hot air balloon festival and it was really eventful. Novel experience to get up close with 12-15 huge hot air balloons. Lots of playing activities for kids. Surely nice place to come with family.
Boy, it sure has changed over the years. It's a great place for kids especially, with lots of interactive activities for them. Most of the houses and barns are open and the volunteers are available which is great. Sadly though, many of the buildings are showing signs of not being maintained (dry rot, wood boring insects, missing chinking on log buildings)
My whole family, kids aged 14 to 2 years old, had a wonderful time at the Headless Horseman fu . We took the hay ride and went down the dry tubing runs. All four of my kids loved the activities so much, even my 2-year-old and 4 year old :-)
I feel like the dry tubing runs could be set up a little bit better. It took forever for the patrons to drag their tubes up the hill. I think there should be a solution so that more people can get down more efficiently. But it was very cool anyway.
We had a wonderful time and everone wished we could stay longer. The corn maze is gorgeous this year, and all the employees are so friendly. It's really a wonderful place to visit, especially if all fall with the gorgeous leaves all around.
We did the Headless Horseman event and for the most part we enjoyed it. However, most of the event is geared towards a younger age (4-12). But my daugter and I really enjoyed the Headless Horseman wagon ride. Its worth it for that alone. The wagon ride takes you through the old town of historic buildings and although some of the decorations are a little cheezy, things get real when the Headless Horseman rides out swinging his sword. Its $5 extra for the wagon ride so make sure you add that to the cost before going. The food is a little pricey in my opinion. $15 for a brisket sandwich. We sat and listen to the band play spooky music when we ate and to be honest, the band was really good. However, the cornmaze was fairly boring.
This place is an absolute must visit, especially if you have kids. Conner Prairie is massive, with different settings and villages all built around providing a "living history" experience. As an adult, I found this place to be fascinating from a historical perspective, but my kids were the ones that really loved it. With a massive treehouse, lots of animals, buildings to explore, and indoor/outdoor play areas, they could easily spend an entire day here. I felt the reenactors did a great job of interacting with the kids as well. With the cost of tickets, I would recommend looking in to an annual pass if you plan on visiting more than once. They also have a military discount as well. We came here first thing on a Sunday morning and had the place to ourselves! Definitely try coming during an off-time to maximize the experience.
Visited with my husband for a wedding. Oh my goodness, it was an incredible venue for a wedding. I can't speak about anything else, but it's a gorgeous location for a wedding. Seems like smaller children would enjoy the play spaces.
We had a great day on our first visit to connor prairie. There was alot of people dressed up and telling you about how they would have lived. My son at 11 was bored by some stuff but loved the tree top area. I would highly recommend.
Conner Prairie is one of our favorite outdoor summer evening concert venues in Indy/Fishers. Family friendly, BYOB and food. It's nice to arrive when the gates open early and enjoy food and drinks with friends beforehand. Bathrooms can get a little busy during intermission. Like any concert venue, parking is always super slow getting out, not worth rushing to get back to your car. I've been here countless times and have never had any issues with bugs. Pack a wagon, blanket & cooler and be ready to enjoy the outdoors!
Great actors and actresses are very into their characters. Great place to learn about history and for kids to pet farm animals.
It was free so day so I went with my family. We were visiting from up north. I was very glad that we spent the day here! We learned so much and i was very impressed with the staff/actors who were very knowledgeable and welcoming. My favorite was the carpenter. It was a hot day and this dude gave it his all. If there was an award for being a hard charger i would give it him! I asked about 734 questions and he answered 733. The last one personal and I promised I wouldn't repeat. Anyway, the property was very beautiful and easy to navigate. My only negative thing to say about this was that charging $3 for drinks at a vending machine was a bit too much. But I guess the folks back in the day didn't have vending machines. If you are looking for a great and picturesque hike whilst learning about Indiana history, this place is a must on your visit to central Indiana. Spaniard out...
Very cool experience going up in the hot air balloon! Tickets are purchased separate from admission at following rate: $17/adult, $10/children, under 2 is free. About a 15 minute ride from take off to landing.
We visited on a HOT hot day but there is plenty of shade and places to rest (dining areas and plenty of benches throughout)
We visited the children’s indoor play area on our way out as the temps got worse, and it was incredible! Lots of fort building, imaginative play, craft area, books, etc. Tons of opportunity to get the wiggles out for our 2 kids under 5.
The park also allowed us to bring a small cooler in with a light lunch for the kiddos, and we were welcome to eat on the property with our packed lunch.
Had a wonderful day there with my young teen daughter. We both learned a lot and really enjoyed talking with the people in this town set in 1836. Wish we would have had more time to see it all.
My sister and I flew in from Texas to visit my father and his wife. It was my first time in Indiana. My father bought tickets for us to go see the Stars Spangle Banner Orchestra Symphony. It was my first time to ever experience a symphony. The whole experience was beautiful and emotional. Since it hits to home. My father served in the Army. It was a pleasure to enjoy the whole orchestra and especially the fireworks afterwards. They were absolutely beautiful.
We've been coming here for years. We love it here!
Decent place. Not very well maintained but ok.
The place is near Indianapolis. It has an auditorium where one can host events. Other than that it has some information on the lives of early Europeans who came to Indiana initially and started living in the prairies. If someone is interested in stuff like that, this place may be interesting.
Personally I did not like this place that much. Ok place but nothing extraordinary and definitely does not deserve the very high rating it seems to have on Google maps.
This is such a great place for kids. Especially young children. My 2 and 5 year old love Conner Prairie. Tons of things to do. There's a decent indoor area too in case the weather isn't cooperating. You probably can't enjoy it all in a single day. I defineltly recommend a yearly pass if you live nearby.
Beautiful location, educational exhibits, and helpful staff! (I like working here too!)
Wonderful place for all ages. A must for any tourist. Great. Experience and highly recommend even if you are not a history lover.
Awesome experience. Great living history museum. The actors were nice and eager to answer all of my daughters questions. Lots to see and do. Interesting things to see like the pottery shop, and the loom house. We spent about 4 hours here. It was pretty warm but there was a nice breeze, and plenty of water fountains located around the grounds to refill water bottles.
Conner Prairie is a fun, unique adventure that you really don't get anywhere else nearby. We got a membership this year, so tried out the Christmas village for the first time. For the member price, it was a good value and certainly a nice NEW thing the kids hadn't done before. I can't say it'll be an annual tradition, but it had some nice things they enjoyed. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was hoping for more interaction with imagining how Christmas was and traditions they'd be doing during that period, but there wasn't much of that... but maybe I didn't ask the right questions. In one house, we got that he was in town visiting his sister & he did a little sing along for 1 song, and in another house a couple that had recently moved to the area and bought some property & his brother was settled in Indy.. but not much describing Christmas or plans or traditions. It was also REALLY busy the night we went, so I'm sure a less crowded evening would've helped some as well. The lights on the bridge were cool and the projection story on the Connor house was enjoyed as well. During the summer months, we enjoy our trips with our family and also often school field trips to the Prairie. Lots of areas the kids enjoy, though definitely a much better experience when you go on days when there is a lot of staff interacting in the houses and shops.
This is such a wonderful place to visit! Be prepared though, wear comfortable walking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather because most of it is outside. I saw many people there who definitely weren't prepared. The living history volunteers are so great, and took time to answer all of our questions!
Great place to take the kids - an amazing outdoor area - animals, treetop adventure and more, plus a great indoor area for big and little kids to explore!
This is a really neat place. The facilities are always clean. It's well-maintained and there are many things to do. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have worked to continually update and add to the attractions.
Admittance isn't cheap and the helium balloon ride costs extra. The helium ride is a unique experience. It is worth the cost if you're able to spend a whole day here.
Please like if my review was helpful.
Great stuff for all ages. Especially little ones. The splash pad/ water play area, play areas, petting barn, and discovery station. All great. My 13mo had so much fun.
We absolutely love this place. Enjoy it a great deal everytime we go. Letting the kids see and participate in all the different times in life is a wonderful and educating experience. Thank you Conner Prairie..
Very good place. It is very kid friendly, and tons of great people working here. If your kids like Conner Prairie enough, they can apply to be a Youth Volunteer at 10! Super fun place.
Great place for kids. Balloon and civil war time life are 2 unmatched experience one should not miss.
Great place for kids have fun and learn about civil war history
Super clean and very well organized. We went out to conner prairie for symphony on the prairie.
Great place for an afternoon or even a day! My son could have spent an entire day in the welcome center playing with tools and building.
Jupiter Flights Balloon Festival 🎈🔥
@connerprairie
.
Had an amazing time! Very cool place to spend the day!
Great place for young kids and adults alike! I wasn't sure if my 5 year old would be interested in much but he loved the whole place! As an adult I would have liked to have been able to stop and read more of the signs and information but with a kid you have to go at their place somewhat which is why I say it would be great for adults or kids. The kids love running around and seeing everything but the adults could stop and read and learn a lot. When we left my son asked right away if we could go back sometime and I told him most definitely!
Great place to experience! Love the civil war area: Must see inside general store and theater-type exhibit. Go on the educator portion of the website to learn before going. Everyone is in character and sticks to their time period and its wonderful!
Great family fun with a bit of education just don't tell your kids!! Lol
Great place for kids. Have a membership and love it.
Way cooler than expected. Kids had a blast and I enjoyed it far more than I would have thought.
Great Time/Activity for Kids of all ages. You could spend all day there if you wanted. Pretty big and lots of things to check out. Indoor kids area to play and make crafts and then Outdoor stuff to do/see and learn about our great history. Kids water/splash area to keep cool, so think about swimming trunks or towel or atleast change of clothes for your young ones just in case. We went on a really hot day, but wasn't actually too bad since there's indoor air condition area/activities and the outdoor splash area and when your walking around, its woodsy and shaded, so it was actually nice and relaxing strolling on the paths. They have some animals to pet(goats and sheep). There's also a Hot Air Balloon ride(always attached to ground). We didn't ride it, but it goes straight up and comes back down and probably has a nice view!👍😁
Great time with the animals and the people. Only down side is that after the animals there's not much for little kids outside. There's a small jungle gym but no slides. The inside areas are great though. We went in the air balloon too. It's a nice relaxing ride but a little pricey.
We rented a venue at Conner Prairie for our Halloween wedding this year. They have multiple venues to choose from. The grounds are so beautiful especially in the fall which is a huge reason we wanted to book here. The pricing is amazing and totally affordable. We had our wedding at the prairie house and it was amazing! Perfect size and had the most amazing backdrop of trees for our pictures. The staff was very helpful leading up to and on the day of the event. We were so grateful for their organization and help. They also provided transportation to other places on the grounds for pictures which gave us so much variety! For the price you truly can not beat having your event here! We could not have been happier with how our big day went thanks to them, especially Dana who worked with us through all the planning!
An interactive museum set in the early 1820s and 30s, just years after Indiana became a state. Great for a family trip of field trip. Keep in mind, the museum is closed on Mondays and there will be plenty of walking. Nonetheless, it is a wonderful place to check out.
My students and I enjoyed ourselves and learned so much at Conner Prairie! They do such an amazing job in recreating scenes from hundreds of years ago.
Had a good time with my children and there school..
We brought our kids (ages 6 months to 14 years) here. This place is awesome! It's interactive. There are so many places to play for all ages. It's so much better than the Indianapolis Children's Museum. Less crowded. Very few things were encased and/or roped off. It's a fun place to interact and learn about history. I hope we get a chance to come back for the holiday events.
This was interesting to visit. The different areas tell a story of Indiana over a number of years.
Such a cute experience, went because it was part of the Indy pass and was floored. Very interactive and engaging, the staff was so helpful, very family friendly. Something for little kids to do and stuff for older kids to do. Covered all bases, hard to find a educational and engaging experience to cover different age ranges. I would definitely visit again.
A lot of the exhibits were not functioning. Reinactors tried to keep it interesting. Thought the $18 a bit steep for what they had.
It was the first time I have been back in years to visit this place. The balloon ride was so nice. I was a little scared at first but once I was all the way up in the air it was amazing. You could see downtown. I was walking all around the taking in all the sites. Then we traveled through time and went back to when the civil war came to Indiana. It was really fun to see all the actors doing a great job and really playing the part. I enjoyed my time so much and I didn't get to see everything, but I will be back to visit again soon and see it all.
Love this place. My daughter is obsessed with the petting barn!
Hands on historical villages. Great for adults and kids off all ages.
Had fun learned alot great place to visit and take ya kids loved it!
A good place to spend a half day with your family especially if you have a toddler. Give a perspective about Indiana's history and how the journey from the past until today.
We had an awesome time it was most of the kids first time there. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to visit with the family.
Great educational content for kids and adults.
Fun experience for folks with kids. Check out the special events like Headless Horseman and Christmas programming.
Great place to see a live show!
I had not been outside since i was a kid because there is so much going on inside. Im glad that i finally got out there. This is by far the best place in Indy for young Children.
they need to consider more interactive history that could occur INDOORS. I am a member but they close the outdoor area for winter and don't offer much else. my son gets a cold every time we visit the indoor play place.
i feel like it is a great concept with mediocre execution.
their cafe, also outdoors and closed for winter, does offer some great salads though.
I've never been to anything but symphony on the prairie at Connor prairie. Always have a blast. Recommendation would be to splurge for the VIP parking. If you don't and you leave when everyone else does then it can take awhile to get out.
We loved it here so fun and great exercise
Went on a field trip with my son and we had a great time! He wants to go back this summer for a family trip.
It's good for kids to understand the history and living style in 1800. You can check the status of balloon ride in their website to plan accordingly.
The kids had a lot of fun!
We drove down from Chicago for the day and had such a fun time!
We didscovered Conner Prairie on a road trip to visit a son at college. It was 1988, 89? Fell in love with the place and the experience. I decided I wanted to retire here and become one of the village residents. This was before the Visitor's Center and some of the present additions existed. We became contributing members and when the grandchildren came along we became "Grandparent" members and made several return trips with them to share this gem. From the Headless Horseman to the 1893 Dinner at the Conners, we and the now grown grands share fond memories of Conner Prairie. Now retired but sadly not in my long skirt and bonnet cooking on the hearth. 😥
I went as a chaperone for the fifth grade class. I had just as much fun as the kids!
We had a blast!! Thank you for a great experience.
I enjoyed the Symphony on the prairie concert. The Beach Boys were the music of the evening. I enjoyed the band and the wonderful songs. The balloon ride is very good, but a little pricey.
Fun experience, lots to do on site.
Great out day fun
We love going to Conner Prairie. The inside area is great with our two girls. It's a safe, great place for them to learn and play. The outside has a lot of great places for young children too. We spend a lot of time at the tree house and little splash area, but there is something for even little kids to do inside almost every house.
Great experience. lots of log cabins and fun for the kids.
Very educational, kids loved it.
Conner Prairie is the best. The Headless Horseman hayride and haunted corn maze were awesome! We had constant fun for over 4 hours and could have stayed longer. Looking forward to going back!
Conner Prairie is as good as interactive history museums get, but be warned, that's exactly what this place is: An Interactive Museum. While you can definitely wander around, don't be put off if you find yourself being led around (sometimes literally by the hand) from exhibit to exhibit by the "residents" of the village. The newer edition to the museum, the Dupont Indiana section, is even more theatrical and structured than the original village is. So if you're thinking this is just a cool old 1800s village to explore and walk around in, you may want to travel down to Spring Mill state park for that experience. This is definitely a more guided experience, geared more toward educating kids and adults who want to see living history presented in a way very few museums can do. If that sounds like something you're into, then Conner Prairie can't be beat.
Kids love this place. The blanket fort is an amazing idea and the workshops are really neat and hands of experience for kids.
Fun place to spend an afternoon learning some local history. Don't miss the balloon ride!
Very fun place to visit & a great history lesson!
The venue is in a sort of natural amphitheater, and people sort of combine picnicking and tailgating on the lawn there.
Interesting history and the staff in character is a nice plus, but can get annoying at times. They are so kind and very knowledgeable. The kids areas are great for little ones!
great place for the kids to actually get away from their technology and learn something.
We were here for a private gala in the visitors center. It was lovely, and the staff was amazing!
Connor Prairie has really done an outstanding job during these uncertain times. We’ve always attended their Headless Horseman Event the last 4 years and this year we wondered if it would be worth it. We attended over the weekend and we were so pleasantly surprised at how creative they were with the different attractions they offered! They eliminated the corn box, and bouncy houses and instead provided attractions that allowed social distancing while still being super fun- games, shows, corn mazes, tube slides, , train rides, great food, and even beers for mom and dad! They sanitized the wagons after every ride, wiped down games, sanitized chairs- and every volunteer and staff member did with a smile. We had an amazing time as a family and we’re beyond impressed with our experience! Way to go Conner Prairie- thanks for keeping our family traditions alive- we are so proud to be members! 💗💗💗
Wonderful place for family time. Very professional and well kept. Hands on experience and something for all ages. The Prairietown is wonderful. Fun to see the actors walking about. They ONLY answer you in the time period from which they represent. Theres a splash pad for hot days, and an animal interactive area. We didn’t do the trail walk behind the the tree fort but will next time. There is even a little library room at the bottom of the tree fort for your little bookworms
A good venue for concerts byochair but they do have some trees that could block side seating view. Seems their food vendors are few, and they put some kiosks far far away from others so if it were my business, would be unhappy. The parking entry is fine, exiting is mass chaos with ONLY ONE exit, they should have at least a northbound and southbound exits for better flow. We also went for their winter decoration show last season and was expecting more live people exhibits and food - big big big disappointment. But did see a few xmas light displays and walked around during covid so good to get out. For an operation this size, they should still have more active live exhibits.
Great place to go and learn some history about Hamilton County Indiana
Biggest shout out to Corey, Kathleen, and Conner! My friend and I spent hours wandering and asking way too many questions. It was incredible to learn from these experts and find out what they were individually passionate about. Thank you so much for a magical day!
Always a great place to share time with your family. Wonderfully interactive outdoor museum.
Balloon ride was awesome! Saw Indy. The Civil War area was very nice. The movie was very historical.
Really crowded but I loved being abke to spend time with my friends!
A little disappointed in our experience today. My daughter's class is currently talking about life on a farm and life back when there were no TVs or cell phones, so we decided to take a day to experience it in person. The animal experience is closed so you can only really see the animals from afar. There was no one in the woodworking or blacksmith shops. There was no candle making. Most of the buildings were unoccupied and we only got to experience a few things along the way. The balloon voyage is also not currently operational. We still had fun but it definitely didn't live up to what I told her it would be.
They recently added the Roberts Family play and my family loved it. We always enjoy connor prairie and their apple store is amazing.
Baby animals, friendly staff, helium balloon rides, well kept grounds. Great presentations
A fantastic place with truly amazing workers. I want to mention Julie in the Nature Squad and Dorcus and Mrs Barkley in Prairie Town specifically. They showed real interest in my children's love of learning. They played and explored with them. It was a great experience and we can't wait to come again.
Beautiful and educational park! Really cool to see the actors going about their day to day business, they're all so knowledgeable and friendly. We got to meet Dwight at the blacksmithing barn in Prairietown. Apparently Conner Prairie has classes for a lot of different traditional trades such as blacksmithing and hearth cooking. I've always had an interest in historical trades and I've lived near Conner Prairie for so long and I had no idea they had classes. One suggestion I have is please try and advertise your classes more, so more people can know about them and have the opportunity to learn.
I was wowed that the presentations were something like out of Disney World. In order for it to be so realistic feeling, the presentations combine physical props with digital ones that is high quality. You really feel like you’ve traveled back in time. My husband and I had a Great time. He went a lot as a kid, so he was showing me around while also being pleasantly surprised by new additions since he had last been years ago.
I really loved this place! We went to the Michael Jackson concert preformed by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and it was a phenomenal outdoor concert. You can bring your own food, drinks (alcohol included), lawn chairs/blankets. It makes for a great night.
Was here for a friend's wedding and reception. The wedding was just outside of the barn with the reception in the barn. Beautiful place and the staff was wonderful.
Lovely place to visit for family and friends. I love going to Conner Priarie! I really enjoyed the balloon voyage where we got to see the conner priarie corn maze with the image of the headless horseman and the houses near the white river. I also loved learning about the history of the civil war in Kentuckiana and a whole lot more. I also liked the food. I ordered Mrs. Conner's chicken salad sandwich and it was delicious. I also learned a lot about the conner house and watched how they made threads. There are a lot more to see inside and you can even do the corn maze. Worth the trip and I highly recommend family and friends to come here!
Had a great time with the grand kids.
Had a great day out at Conner prairie. The balloon ride was fun and the views from above the prairie spectacular. The fall foliage was beautiful and the weather just perfect for wandering around the exhibits.
We buy a family.membership every year. We always enjoy our trips to CP, especially headless horseman in October.
Had a great time, the farm animals are awesome
I’m a little disappointed that tix were full price but everything wasn’t open. Also perturbed at the couple of employees that were quite rude about the mask wearing (this was outside in open air, where we were no less than 8 feet apart), and one who was pretty rude about one of my kids even looking in the direction of an area that was closed while we were all waiting to recongregate outside of bathrooms. Then they changed their sing-songy, fake tunes immediately to suggest I get a membership and come back, but honestly I don’t see the point. The buildings that were open had super friendly staff and helpful. You can’t say that you “encourage” guests to wear masks where distancing isn’t possible online, then change it to a mandatory requirement on site and try to implement it outside where it doesn’t apply anyway. I understand that covid has placed undue stress on places like this, but the differences between what is stated ahead of time and what I found in person is really irritating.
The staff is helpful and friendly. The grounds are clean and well maintained. Absolutely wonderful experience for the kids or the young at heart. What more could you ask for.
We went to the Symphony on the Prairie that Connor Prairie holds during the summertime. It was packed. But I will say that it was very nice to shop to a concert where we did not have to pay for parking. As soon as we parked there were two people who showed up with the wagon who offered assistance with bringing our items out to the lawn. There were a bunch of people already and the concert was not set to start for another hour or two. So I would suggest getting there early especially if you have a large crowd of people going along together.
We rode the helium balloon which was super cool! You could see the stage area and then the haunted corn maze that was about to start soon. We did our helium trip at around 7:30 and it was perfect because we were able to see the sun set!
This is a great place to spend an afternoon... Rich in history, but in a way to get the kids interested and not bored! The staff is always super helpful and knowledgeable, things are clean, and overall, it's just a great place to go!
Excellent place to go with your family and enjoy some great family time. We went over the holidays and really had a lot of fun. The staff really goes out of their way to make sure everyone has a good time. This is a very unique place. A fun family outing.
Field Trip for dixie elementary. Kids and adults had a blast. Wish i had this amazing cornfield view every morning! Ahhmazing
We love this place. This was our second trip, and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Great place for the whole family of all ages.
Solid place. Indoor and outdoor play areas. Plus they have historical parts as well. The Festival of machines is where it's at.
We visited the Symphony on the Prairie venue for the July 3rd Star Spangled Symphony event. This particular show is typically highly attended given that it is a holiday special and they have a firework show at the end. Unfortunately for us, a thunderstorm popped up in the area so they cancelled the fireworks (but allowed everyone to use their ticket stubs for complimentary access to a later event). Prior to the stoppage, the show was excellent and the orchestra was as good as always! Many veterans were in attendance with their families and the conductor/hosts did a fantastic job recognizing all the military personnel and branches. This is a great place for families and friends to enjoy music, shows, and dinner!
There is free parking available. As a friendly reminder, a mass exodus from the venue will create very long lines to exit as there is only one exit to go North and one to go South. If you aren’t in a hurry to be anywhere, take your time heading out to avoid an hour-ish wait in or around your car (no bathrooms outside the venue gates).
Don’t forget to bring your own cooler (drinks and food of any kind ) as well as chairs and blankets for the show! Food and beverages are available for purchase including standard concessions, alcohol, ice cream, and kettle corn.
We attended symphony on the prairie presented by ISO. The outdoor amphitheatre is such a nice venue. We also have a CP membership; we visit there often.
Much more Interactive and kid friendly than I expected.
Great place to spend whole day. Lots of things to see and do for everyone with hands on experience. Historical and educational. Love it.
Kids will enjoy learning about historical places while also playing and having fun!
I love the interaction with the actors living in the year of 1836. History comes to life!
Love, love, LOVE this place!! A little bit of everything. Great play area for kids on hot or bad weather days indoors, fun outdoor play areas for the kids on nice days. Everything you need is there, food, drinks restrooms etc which is key for a family with several children under 4. Great time, great place, we WILL be back!!!!
This is a fun place to enjoy history and the outdoors. The volunteers are super nice.
A great time to relax, learn about history, and spend time with the family!
this place is great! spent a few hours here, and did not even see everything. i definitely want to go back and spend more time. the staff was friendly, the interactive exhibits are cool, and the grounds are well maintained.
Every time I visit I'm always impressed with how many staff and volunteers are around and what great energy and excitement they display. Thank you for making this a great and fun place to visit!
Great for kids. Lots of walking and history. Very hands on. Love their special events. Be sure to see the website before you go.
We haven't gone to Conner Prairie much beyond the occasional programs (Christmas on the Prairie, the Headless Horseman, and Symphony on the Prairie) so we haven't gotten to explore beyond Prairietown. Since our son was born we hadn't been so we decided to explore this morning and we were very happy with the trip! The grounds are huge and we had a ton of room to roam and distance. All staff were very informative and kind. I was disappointed that some of the staff were not in costume but ultimately our 1 year old really only cared about the chickens he got to encounter and the "big house" we let him run through. He had a great time! The food was great too. I think we'll definitely be back this summer!
Such a great place to visit!
Went to Symphony on the prairie. Always a good time with music and food. We bring our own because the concession stand is limited and more expensive, but is a viable option for some. Crowds and ease of parking vary depending on the performance. Aside from Symphony on the Prairie, Connor Prairie is a great living history museum. We are members and go a couple times a year.
A beautifully recreated 19th century Indiana village. Learn about pottery, blacksmithing and the civil war, all in one place! And take a balloon ride too.
Thank you to the Headless Horseman for a frightfully good time! 🎃 …
Concert at Conner Prairie, Tom Petty Tribute Band, 8/31/18- Lot of Fun
This is such a great place for family fun! People of all ages can enjoy this great place! The staff are always very friendly and informative and make learning so much fun! I especially love that they have designated rooms for Breastfeeding and changing babies!!! It’s the cherry on top for me!
Fun for adults and children a like. Don't miss this place if you're in town!
Very educational and fun. Went with my daughter on a field trip today. We hope to return again sometime when we have more time to visit.
I've been visiting here for over 40 years. Excellent place to spend the day with family.
This place is amazing!!! Went here with my mom, sister, niece, and nephew. We tried to accomplish as much as we could with their little legs, but this place is HUGE with SO MUCH to see. Great place for children AND adults! Interacting with the farm animals is so much fun. We loved how everyone stays in character too
There’s so much to do here for such a great price! There’s no way you can walk the whole place in a day too. Def recommend for families &those who visit the area!
Great place, we always have a great time here with the kids and grandparents!
Beautiful little place. Great for kids especially with the giant tree house and hot air balloon ride. Civil war reenactments as well.
There is so much too do here. Lots of outdoor and indoor activities for families. We love it!
Love going here on field trips. Everyone is friendly and it's great to see the history. Much of it we need to get back to teaching our kids!
Beautiful land, amazing fun to do with the family. We went on my daughters field trip in the fall and it was just gorgeous. Neat to walk through and have fun while learning at the same time. A picturesque day!
Great place. Several historical mock ups. It's more oriented for children but still enjoyable for adults.
I went there on a field trip it's absolutely amazing you should definitely go there it has history and older things and people dressed like the people back then! it has everything to a school to a house! Its sooo cool😜 …
This place is awesome. The staff and actors do a great job making the experience fun and inviting. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable about the era and all things to do with it. I recommend spending a day there just strolling around chatting and learning.
I hadn't been in years, so it was a surprise to see how much has been developed. This is a phenomenal place to take kids. Lots of places to explore and things to do.
Always a fun place to go for an afternoon out or a field trip with the kids.
Great place. Loved coming here as a kid and now love bringing my kids here.
I really enjoyed the history and the cultural experience. I highly recommend everyone to visit. I will be back.
Really cool place. Lot's of places to see and things to do. Wonderfully maintained.
I have great memories of this place from school field trips, it was one of my favorite places to visit.
Kids had a great time
Great historical theme park. Wish we'd had more time there. Will definitely try to visit again.
My friends brought my wife and I to check this place out. I was really interesting and fun. I loved how even though my friend works there, when she would talk to the actors, they wouldn't respond to her out of character. It is a very fun way of learning about history.
Great place for kids of all ages. Good activities for kids under 5. They have both an indoor and outdoor play area for small children. If I lived in town, I definitely would have a membership.
Such a beautiful place to visit. A great place to take the family. Will be visiting again soon
It is a great place to go relax and get a break from the house. Very beautiful environment and there is an amazing trial you can walk through the woods. I most definitely would suggest it.
Great place for families to hang out. Always something new to do at night or during the day!
Lots of fun for children of all ages. plenty to do all season long. friendly staff.
Good place for young kids. Very creative setting. Too bad it rained that day.
It is a nice place to take the kids we had a good time
Great family fun for all ages. My kids are 2 years through 6 and they all enjoyed it. I'm so grateful my toddler had so much to do along with my older kids!
Great place to go of you have kids. If you don't, it's interesting, but not as exciting.
Great place to take the family. Grandkids love going there.
So much fun! Great to bring kids. Has a lot to offer for both. Crafts, exploring history, science, farm animals. Also a hot air balloon ride straight up!
This is a must see. Makes history fun. Great staff, amazing experience
Had an awesome night out with my family and wife's co-workers. The staff working the event was extremely nice. Looking forward to next event.
Beautiful place, lots of history and they have all sorts of events for different occasions.
A great place to get kids interested in history they also have a balloon that you can ride. They also hold special events through out the year. If your a history lover this place is deffently worth a visit!
Love the Headless Horseman Event! The staff is courteous, professional and create a great atmosphere. Always a great experience.
I love the staff! My grandson truly got the real experience of history here! So much patience and kind words spoken from everyone we encountered!
Great place to go to see how life was in the 1800's. Also symphony on the prairie is awesome to attend
This is a great place for families with kids of all ages. It also is a great place for adults without kids, who want to take their time and learn more intensely. They have outdoor play areas, an area to pet the animals, and many immersive learning opportunities.
Wonderful atmosphere. Beautiful property. Kind people. Great events. Interactive learning experience
A great place for the whole family! We went with our two little ones and still had plenty to do for the entire day. The staff is knowledgable, accommodating, and committed to creating a immersive historical environment.
Our grandchildren love this place. The reinactors are the best. The last visit we seemed to miss all of them
Great place for kids to learn and explore. There is so much to do here both inside and outside of the facility.
Such a cool place to go the kids really enjoyed it
This place is always a great time, lots to see and do. I highly recommend the concerts they hold on weekend evenings.
You only need to go once. Don't waste your money on a membership. Not worth it. Doesn't even get you in to off hour events. Nothing ever changes. You will see the same thing every single time.
Great for kids and the historically minded adults. Worth a visit!
It's cool stepping back in time! Beautiful, authentic location. Fun day with the family.
Excellent place for the family and great place for kids to learn about our history.
Lots of fun. Go and enjoy this place. Have your walking shoes on. Learn about history. It's a hidden gem.
Great place for children and adults! Educational. Children love the interaction! We visit frequently.
Really enjoy going here. There is alot to do, something for every age. My son loves going out there and running around. They also have a lot of extra activites through out the season. They take very, very good care of their buildings and outside, they are always clean.
So many things to do inside and out. A great time for the whole family.
This place is a fantastic experience for kids and adults alike. It is constantly changing and growing. Not only are there wonderful historical stories to be told here, but there are also science experiments and stem-based learning to be had. I cannot recommend Conner Prairie highly enough.
Great family place. Definitely spend 3 hours to see everything. Its worth the admission fee.
Absolutely love Symphony on the Prairie.
Such a great place for learning. Kids love it. They offer so many events.
One of our favorite places to go. There are always fun things to do and special events throughout the year.
Good place to take the kids and you can still enjoy it.
Excellent trip through history. The venue also hosts different wonderful events all year long, like concerts in summer and headless horseman in the autumn.
Excellent attention to detail & history. Appropriate activities for all ages.
A lot has changed since I was a kid going there on field trips, and it is for the better!! LOVED our experience so much that we immediately bought a membership so we can go anytime.
It's a great local museum that chronicles some amazing local history. It's kept open and private despite privatization efforts.
Great place for kids to play.
Such a great place to get a membership to. Lots of fun events and such a wonderful learning experience for the whole family.
It is a nice place. They have animals, balloon, play ground area, and so on.
Star Spangled Symphony on the Prarie was a great way to celebrate Independence Day. The program was very much in honor of our Military Heroes which was very touching to see. The fireworks were great, more than just ordinary fireworks. The symphony played a variety of music from different time periods.
Outstanding place to take the kids. They loved it.
Can't see it all in a day, so we bought the membership! We visited the wind exhibits inside and the dairy barn outside. Had a great time. Very family friendly place. We'll be back.
Great place for kids! Our 5 and 3 year old daughters really enjoyed it. Even our 14 month daughter seemed to enjoy her time at Conner Prarie!
Very informative, gives a deep look at life in early days. Great experience for children.
This is a great place for our family to take a long weekend! We just wish we lived closer!
Great place to visit.... For "kids" of any age!!!!
Hands on fun and the grounds are spectacular
Great place to teach kids about history; even better than I remember as a child
We had a great time! The staff/characters are wonderful! They have ways of getting kids interested in learning - without even realizing they are learning! I definitely recommend it. We were there 10a-5:30pm, and still didn't see everything. (We missed just one section.)
This is a good place to expend time with kids. They have different activities, specially outdoors activities. There is not bathrooms in all the facilities so be aware if you have little kids.
It's a wonderful place and kids can get up close with farm animals.
Fun and very educational for all ages. Much to do and they have different events through the year.
This is a fantastic place to not only take your children but also for business meetings. The outloom room is fantastic and creates beautiful scenery to look at when you are in there for a longer period of time. Would recommend to any company to look into using this location.
This is a great historical museum. There are several activities offered for many ages through our the day and year. It is really nice for the children to be able to watch and pet the animals. The only down fall I have notices...there is no space to eat indoors on a rainy or cold day.
It would probably take at least 2 days to thoroughly enjoy all of the exhibits. My children just love this place. We'll be going again. I believe they also have extremely discounted rates for families with children on medicare. Check their website for more details.
Love it. You can bring your own food and drinks in (to include alcohol). How awesome is that?
A great place to spend the day has so much history
A lot of fun for the family and very educational for both children and adults
I was impressed, especially with staff in character. kids had a great time. go when it's raining, and not many visitors at that time.
My daughter had so much fun. We plan to go back!
Great place but is NOT for the physically challenged. If you have any kind of balance/walking/fatigue issue you're going to need some kind of motorized wheelchair. And of course the houses are not handicap accessible
Great place to take your kids all year round inside or out they get things inside to see plus in the summertime see how people used to do pioneer age before gas-electric phones are they even invented how they used to do things back then some people still do it that way today and technologies or flop people do not keep the technology they refuse to use it but this is a good place to take your kids all year roundChick-fil-A hours and so he could have a really good place in the good place to eat to
Great place to visit with kids and family and the balloon ride is well worth it.
Went here during Christmas for a work party. Amazing experience.
Nice place wish there was more to do and i wish from the start they all acted in part of the time period
For many years I've loved this place for summer concerts but am NOT HAPPY about the new reserved seating taking away the dance floor. It's all about the money now!
Great place for kids to learn about what life was like back in the time of William Conner. The guides were very helpful and made it seem like they were really from long ago. There is enough to do to keep the kids occupied as well.
It was great lots of new things for kids our grandkids loved all the interaction
We visited during winter months, so we were not able to enjoy the outdoor facilities. However we very much like the indoor area, and the approach they take to educating people, especially children, about history.
I have been attending symphony on the prairie for 20+ years, and I must say Kroger has stepped up the game big time. Awesome new sound system, less obstructions between you and the stage. As always the sunset lounge in where it's at! July 4th show is a must for any Hoosier!
Love this place! Family friendly.
Great interaction with the past.
Concerts on the lawn are delightful.
Fall festival with Headless horseman is annual family tradition.
And I encourage you to do Follow the North Star.
Conner Prairie was a great experience my date and I enjoyed lots of friendly people great family fun atmosphere would highly recommend and will return when I get a chance.
Great place to take the family. My two children loved interacting with the actors and taking the balloon ride. Food was surprisingly good.
Perfect place to spend a few hours with the kids. Plenty of historic buildings to see, hiking trails, animals and indoor fun.
Wonderful. Took my kids expecting 2-3 hours. Spent 6.5 & didn't do everything. Love the treetop & water area.
Great experience! Worth the money. Definitely take the hot air balloon ride. Worth the money!
Great place. Enjoy every time I go
Our family had a really fun time here (kids ages 1-15). There was plenty to do and we stayed all day.
Symphony on the parier. Listening to John Williams music
Great for kids. Learning made fun. Love it.
Great place to bring the family and spend the day.
Bring the family and look around, there's different events throughout the year and the scenery is awesome!
The employees that work at Conner Prairie in one of the most friendliest nicest people ever met I like the environment it's always clean I like how they show you the historical facts of our country and how people lived great place to go
A must see for kids and adults (if interested in history). Alot of kids activities. Was disappointed that some activities (hot air balloon was down due to weather) but all in all great. Probably a 5 star on weekends.
Beautiful facility with lots of interactive elements. Well staffed with informed individuals who take the time to teach and answer all questions.
Been there had a great time and yes I hope to go back this year. Great for every one.
Just go.. it's always fun. And while you're at it.. get the family annual pass. It's totally worth it.
We had such a great time! The staff and educators were extremely educational and informative.
They have thought of EVERYTHING. Quiet Zones, Family Rooms, Infant play room, sunscreen and very reasonable pricing. Definitely worth the visit.
This is a place for everyone of all ages. You will have a great time here or you're not doing it right.
Great place to take kids to get outside and learn. The new Treetop area is great!
Awesome experience. Chaperone for a field trip. Great staff. Plenty of facilities for kids.
I used to come here as a child, and hadn't been back in about 10 years. The history was great to relearn. It kept our family of older teens (15 & 19) entertained as was I. In the span of approximately 2 1/2 hours we wereunable to see most of the venue, including making copper bracelets.
Fun place to start good memories for all ages
Fantastic educational experience! It's like a midwest Williamsburg. You really feel like you go back in time.
Great place to take the kids, they learn and have fun
Our kids loving coming here every year !! This was unfortunately our last year with the kiddos cause they had two field trips back to back an this was our last fifth grade class!! We will come back for sure !!
Love this place, a Lot things to see and enjoy.
A truly unique experience! You really need to dedicate an entire day to get the most out of it. If you rush this trip, you'll end up regretting it.
Great experience for children and affordable, government programs include huge discounts
One of the best living history museums I've visited. Definitely worth visiting even if it's just for Symphony on the Prairie.
Great place for families and anyone into history!
Very pleasant experience. I love how everything is interactive & the volunteers stayed in character
I wonderful place to spend the day with friends and family.
Very nice. Only bad thing was trying to get out. We didn't move for 20 minutes. Took us 45 minutes to get out.
I attended the Beatles symphony on the prarie. Great venue. Plenty of snack stands and drinks available but it's even better if you brink a picnic with some wine. Also get there really early to get good seats.
Great place to visit. Wonderful place to hear and see the symphony! Even better when it was the 4th of July, complete with fireworks.
Wonderful experience. We were amazed. We highly recommend Conner Prairie.
Interesting history, fun place with variety of things to keep kids interest, very cool balloon.
In 2001 I was a reckless 16 yr old & wrecked my car into one of their apple trees at the entrance. They seemed pretty cool about the whole ordeal.
Very cool interactive history park & museum, I've been coming here since 1993.
Had a great day with my family at Conner Prairie last weekend. From the sights, to the shopping and food to the Hot air balloon ride. Cant wait to go back!
Conner prairie was fun I went there for my 4th grade field trip it's amazing
Wonderful place loved visiting and I would recommend it to families.
Went to a symphony the prairie and had a great time.
One of few venues where you can bring in your own food and drinks.
Had a great time and learned a lot of new things. Highly recommend families to come to Conner prairie.
Roche Family Day
So great! Live demos. Plan on several hours or more than one visit to see everything.
9 in our group. 19 months to 65 yrs old. All enjoyed the day. Some ,not all, felt its slightly overpriced.
Such a fun, engaging, interactive place. My kids love it and I really like the history and petting the animals.
Wonderful place to have fun while learning history. Blue Star Museum with gold star exhibits and displays and friendly employees!
This is one of the best living history museums ever. It has a village from 1836 and also a town from the Civil War era. People of all ages can enjoy the day here!
Wonderful living history museum. Member for many years and I highly recommend Conner Prairie! Staff is so helpful and welcoming.
Really cool place to take your kids! The interactive civil war village is awesome and a great way to get kids engaged with history. Many hands on activities for the little ones!
Great place to take the kids. Had a meeting there, not great temp control inside if youre going to be sitting there all day with a large group, but that could have just been that day. In the fall, a stop at the Apple Store will make your day.
Great place for kids and adults, instead of the same old amusement parks.
Very good place to learn about history while having a great time
Had a great time. Would recommend to families.
Visited with my son in a field trip, came back with the whole family. Interaction with the "cast" is fun and informative. They stay in character as you ask questions. 3 story tree house and play area that was added is great!
I’ve been to Conner prairie many times and have always had a good experience with all of it. Educational and fun for parents and kids. So I went with my son on a class fieldtrip last week and I didn’t enjoy it as much this time. Not sure if they have a few new staff members, but they wasn’t very pleasant. A few of them very rude with the kids. Wouldn’t really call it staying in character thing. Just very rude with how they answered and spoke with kids. Made of a couple of us parents upset. Not all of it was bad. The kids did for most part like it but, it wasn’t the best trip Ive had there. Kinda disappointed.
They have really grown since my sons was little. Enjoyed going with my son n grandson
Good history experience. Needs better cafe food
Great learning experience for kids and adults alike, highly recommend!
Staff always stays true to character. You cross the covered bridge and it's like you go back in time! Kids loved it!
Great interactive learning experience for kids and adults. Plenty of parking spaces and wonderful staff.
I went here for a vacation and I loved the way every thing was
Great place to spend the day with kids.
I grew up attending both on regular days and special events. Definitely a great place to have hands on and memorable experiences that will last a lifetime.
People are sweet, but it has changed over the years since I was a kid. It used to feel like I had truly stepped back in history, but there was not as much to experience. The hot-air balloon was fun, but as my family looked down we saw places where structures/buildings had been; evidence that there used to be more.
Fun place for kids. Enjoyed the hot air baloon ride. They have lot of scheduled activities for kids that the kids could be signed up for.
I went to the symphony. It was really nice and enjoyable. I would definitely go back again.
Been wanting to go there to go in the hot air balloon ride
Good learning experience for youngsters. A lot different from when I went many many years ago.
This park delivers an excellent family experience. I really appreciate the effort the staff takes to create an immersive environment.
Great venue for viewing the symphony with your friends and family, kicking back on the grass with good food and beer.
Fun for all the family. Lots of different activities and events to try
Great place. Worth attending with your family.
You need at least 2 days to see it all. Many outdoor living history exhibits. It really pays to go when the weather is nice. They do have some indoor areas to explore. Great indoor and outdoor play areas for the kids and neat living history for the adults. Everyone will love it. Concessions available.
Fun place to take kids to learn while they play!
Enjoyable music with good family time, picnic atmosphere.
This is our 2nd visit in 2017. We first came in the Spring. We had so much fun we purchased a membership. Made our return visit I. August. The kids love visiting and interacting with the characters. We even got to try something straight from the loom house garden. What a fun day for the kids. I wish the balloon wasn't so expensive as it's an experience the kids love.
Great historic environment with interaction for the kids and good educational opportunities.
Its nice place to know about history and you can experience how it was during civil war. Houses are built that way, people are dressed that way. Animal farm was great for kids. And balloon ride was awesome. Should visit atleast once.
Really nice music environment, can't say much about the museum as i have not visited it
I only got through half the park because lighting struck near by and the park closed. Very fun enjoyed talking with the people of the town, learned alot about Mr. Conner and his family. My daughter wants to go back. This is a living museum set in the early 1800's I want to say. Very fun for kids to old people.
Lots of stuff to do. Easily spend the whole day there. Prices are a little high for what you get. Everyone is dressed in period attire and act their part well.
I loved this place as a child and loved to see how it has grown.
Such a great experience. Thank you for bringing history to life!
We've been several times now since spring. It's well worth the membership if you are local. I love living history places, and this is a good example. The volunteers clearly enjoy teaching and must spend countless hours studying their material. Lots to see and learn here, especially if you take your time and ask questions. Even younger children are engaged with activities for them in several places. I've learned something new each visit.
Nice fun place for kids to learn about history
Very Empressive place. Loved the Hot Air Balloon ride.
Always a memorable. Visit, no matter how many times we go! I love history, and my children are learning that they love it too!
It was quite an amazing experience! I learned some things I didn't know before. This is definitely a great place for kids. My favorite thing was the raid experience, the video and effects were awesome. I never knew that confederates attacked all the way up in Indiana. I definitely recommend this place.
Great place to see open air concert and indulge in some byob
If the weather is nice CP is always a fun experience. For parents, it's a great place to take kids 365 days a year
A lovely venue and delightful place for outdoor concerts. A great place to lie down and simply absorb the sound.
I am a bus driver,l take a lot of kids there it is very interesting for kids and adults.
Wonderful for kids. Staff is great and very helpful.
Our family had such a wonderful time today! We visited the children's museum, the zoo, and Conner Prairie this weekend and all of my kids said Conner Prairie was their favorite!! We will definitely come back!
A very nice living history village but it lacked the "Wow" for me. I did like the unique Civil War site and the video presentation.
We go a few times every year. We love it!
Great family experience. Can be expensive and basically only air is free but overall the experience is worth it.
Been going to Conner Prairie for yrs love it here. Its pretty awesome to think about how it was to live back then.
Awesome place for 5yrs old and up! A true gem of indy
Great place to take the kids. Very informative.
We had such a great time here.
Their Halloween festivities are the best, although this year I was sad that there were multiple corn mazes and my favorited haunted trail was gone.Otherwise, still loved it as usual.
Lovely historical place to spend the day. The highlight for us was the balloon ride.
Was there for a Concert on the Prairie. Concert was good. Surprisingly, they sell food and they allow you to bring your own. Surprised that so many people just left their trash & garbage on the ground. Worst part was the EXTREMELY long time to get out of the parking lot.
Took my son here for Symphony on the Prairie for 4th of July and it was amazing. Good music and food.
A beautiful setting for summer evenings to see the symphony. Great place, very pretty.
Fun historical site with great people to interact with at various locations.
Great place for fun interactive historical learning. Also great for the balloon ride and Apple Store where you can purchase all things Apple that are not electronic. Headless Horseman is also fun for all ages.
We've been members for several years and always enjoy spending the day here. There's so much to do and they're always changing the activities available so there's always something new to see. We love the annual events like history on tap, Headless Horseman and the science days.
Super fun experience. Would recommend for groups
Very fun and teches u many things
Excellent living history museum. And I love the baby animals in the encounters barn in the spring and summer.
Excellent Place to Visit for old house for kids and Adults
Looks very interesting. Not yet visited, but hope to in the future.
Took gkids. We all had fun. Was just very hot
Truly a great experience! I return every year, and love it!
It was terrific! Highly recommend the Candlelight Tour. Great fun for the whole family!
I visited this place with my child on a field trip. I had never heard of it, which is a surprise. It's a hidden gem really close to home. Everything was done well and was appropriate for elementary and middle school ages. The people who were reenacting were fabulous and they provided a great look and feel for how life really was back then. My only wish was that we had more time to explore. That's a definite must-see for Indiana history education. I learned a lot myself.
Great way to see parts of this special place from a balloon.... FUN!!
I haven't been here since I was a kid, but I recently saw that they were having a free admission day. My boyfriend, kids, and I had a blast. The kids were super excited to explore and learn. We especially loved Benjamin in the makesmith workshop. He was so helpful with the boys and they loved using all the tools.
We have been members at Conner Prairie for a couple of years now. Great value for the price. Lots of things for kids to do and discounts for members. Always great seasonal things to do. The splash pad is especially nice in the summer. I highly recommend it for any young family.
I think its the first place my kids have ever enjoyed learning history
Took my four year old niece. Live animals, history and play areas. The new play grounds are well designed and offer little ones a mental break from the historic buildings and exhibits.
Lots of toys and gadgets for kids of all ages to play with, and experiment. Good way to keep them entertained.
I took my 3 and 5 year old. We really enjoyed it. The treetop outpost was great for them. We stayed there the longest so they could run around and play. I did find the hot air balloon rides to be a expensive and find it hilarious they make you pay an additional fee for the corn maze.
My niece had her wedding there. It was so beautiful.
Great place to learn more about our country's history.
Great fun for the whole family. I love howbthe people stay in character the whole time.
Take a trip back to the 1860's. It a very relaxing way to spend the day.
Awesome and fun experience for everyone in the family
Great place for kids, really hands on.
Was a fun visit even though it was raining.
Terrific experience every time. My wife and I love listening to the ISO outside with a picnic basket and bottle of wine.
Lots of fun for the 12 and under crowd. Activities and learning all in one.
It is a place you don't come back. There is not a lot of interactive experience. You are looking and walking for the most part. The price for adults is $17 and if you want to get on the balloon you have to pay extra. Food is overpriced and there are some other activities that you have to pay extra. The only place my kids enjoyed for a little bit was the treehouse.
Was very nice.lots of people though very crowded and long lines for craft room
Great place to take the Family for a Concert.
What a fun way to celebrate an over-the-hill birthday with these ladies #ridingrimostyle and visiting Conner Prairie for an evening concert.
Really enjoyed the Hearthside Supper. 4th year we've attended. Great experience and the historical interpreters seem to really enjoy what they do.
Went for the headless horseman activities and once again they were alot of fun! Conner prairie does Halloween right!
Always something new to see. Great for kids.
Neat place to visit with kids. While I was there many baby animals had been born in the preceding weeks, so there were many babies on the farm. The interpreters do an excellent job of bringing history to life.
Great for all ages. Makes learning fun and engaging.
Loved how they stayed in character and the exhibits were informational and fun!
Nice place to go with kids and to ride baloon voyage.
Conner Prairie does an amazing job engaging the people who visit. My students and I had a great time learning while there!
Good fourth of July show for the family. Although they have playground security that is a bummer for the kids. No swings unless an adult is there.
So much to see,do and learn while having fun.
If you are looking a place to have fun time and to educate your children on Indianapolis history you should go there. You can experience scientific facts, historical pioneer village life , join a concert event and enjoy the nature in one place.
Great casual venue. Bring sunglasses, the sun sets behind the stage, so the last 30 min before sunset it's right in your eyes.
Always a great time. Staff is wonderful and helpful!
Very impressed. We all loved the entire day!!!
Wonderful time. Worth special parking.
love it .. relaxing night under.the stars great music..good company.. if you try it.once youll be hooked.
