Reviews of Connecticut Science Center
Amanda Rose
This museum is great for all ages. They have a ton of hands-on exhibits. My son especially loved the water play room. We stayed an hour their alone! We only went for a few hours, but easily could've spent 5 or 6 hours there trying to explore everything!

This is the premiere children's museum in CT. There are hands on exhibits around every corner with more information and facts than one could imagine. Whether it's Enviromental, STEM, Ecological or Basic Fundamentals and Understanding your children will be in awe. Parents... Photo opportunities that make for great family photo memories are endless. Take lots of pictures of those big natural smiles and expressions of joy. Walk around outside (fresh air break) for a while along the lower promenade as well. Hartford has so much to offer, take advantage when you are here. Everyone have fun...Enjoy😀

If you park in the garage underneath the science center, it's very convenient. For members, it's a flat rate of $5, for other visitors it's scales by the hour up to $19. The museum has four exhibit floors; there's three elevators or some impressively Iong staircases. The general admission cover everything but the butterfly garden which is an additional $5 per person. The garden is very pretty with lots of orchids and large butterflies and moths. Most of the exhibits are interactive play; to get the most out of them, a child needs to be literate, but it's still massively fun for littler children too. On the bottom floor is a massive water play table exhibit intended for under 5; you might want to bring your child a spare shirt if they like getting wet. Each floor has one or two unisex handicap bathrooms tucked away in a corner. Overall very educational and very fun. I think she's 4-12 are probably optimal museum goers.

Wow what an experience! We have been to Franklin science center in Philly few days back. And I thought that one is the best and this science center might like that one as well. I was wrong ! (Both are worth visiting) every exhibit over here is interactive! 4,5 floors of science exhibits with beautiful views of Hartford from each floor windows :) it takes some time to interact with each exhibit and see various things (we spend about 5 hours in total). So plan your day / time accordingly!

The best science center we have been to. What an amazing set of experiences, museum and demonstrations, with water fun, space science, climate science, mummy museum, sound and wave, butterfly museums to mention a few. It's incredible.

Lovely and informative place to bring your young ones.
It consists of several levels full of scientific wonders. Future Geologist will rejoice while looking at our Atmosphere to touching Earth's Inner Core. Astrologist and Astronauts will marvel looking at different Nebulas, stars, and Planets. Sports enthusiasts will have a chance to measure their strengths and how science can has made sports safer. They can also interact with things made possible thanks to engineering feats.
There are theater presentations and movies that are played every hour or so for an extra cost per person. And a Butterfly exhibition that is slso not included in the General Admission ticket.
My favorite one was The Mummies of the World exhibition. It makes you change the misconception that mummies only come from Egypt.
My kids had lots of fun, I would definitely recommend it to anyone, especially if you have young children. Very interactive.
It has an easy access from either I91 North or South. Plenty of parking spaces located in the ground levels of the same building. I tried to validate my parking ticket, but the staff member that I asked about it, was not able to clearly say how to do it. I don't know if it's evrn possible to do it. But, we were tired and hungry, so we decided to leave and pay. It's about $3 p/hour.
There is a Subway restaurant located inside the center by the Ticket area. There's also a gift shop. But, I was disappointed when I could not find nice souvenirs or interesting things to purchase. Lots of generic things.

Awesome museum with parking available on-site. My son is six and I feel like it was the perfect age because it was very engaged with the exhibits. It was also really cool to see the mummy exhibit. I’m glad we came when that certain exhibit was available. Also, it was busy but the kids and parents were all polite so it made for a pleasant wait time to see some of the exhibits

Looks of things to explore for kids of varying ages. Today we saw the mummies very interesting for kids and adults. The staff is great very clean easy to find parking. A must for families.

This is a fun place to learn about many different things. There are exhibits for even the littlest kids that can be enjoyed. The butterfly gardens are small but beautiful.

Boys loved it. So many exhibits for the kids to engage in, even for adults. Great time.

I appreciate spectacular and super attractive for children of any age. It has several floors with attractions with water, dinosaurs, an area with space (I loved it) the rooftop garden offers you a spectacular view of the city.
Steven St. Onge
The Science Center is a staple of any summer experience in Connecticut that it seems children of all ages will enjoy.
My 2 year old daughter and I went at 10am on a Monday where there was already a decent number of people of all ages in attendance. Despite the number of people, I don’t recall ever having difficulty finding an exhibit to entertain us as there is just so much to offer.
The museum is broken into 4 levels with different exhibits including a water area for children under six on the lobby floor, a traveling exhibit(currently dinosaurs until November) and engineering exhibit on the next level, a health and space exhibit on the 3rd level, and a rooftop garden and geographic themed exhibit in the top floor. My toddler was entertained by each of the exhibits, although clearly the water level was most entertaining due to the age range.
The Science Center also offers a movie theater and butterfly experience for an additional cost, but you can easily get a few hours of entertainment without these additions.

My God Daughter's had a awesome time. We will be going back again. All the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Kids ( 3 & 5) had a blast with the water play section and also loved checking out the other levels too. The elevator was a big hit! 😂 …

I've been twice with my wife and son and would have no problem going back a few more times! Great hands-on exhibits for children of a ages, as well as ample parking provided by the attached parking garage as well as a few eating options on site (Subway, Frozen Yogurt etc.) otherwise you have many great places including Blind Pig Pizza within walking distance! First time we went was also during a Food Truck Festival and Connecticon so check what's going on in the area when you plan a trip as there might also be some other great activities popup nearby!
Isadora Sarto
We love it! Great way to spend a day with the kids. Fun for grown ups too!

We went on July 6th. We had to pass some time since my mom would be at the doctors for a few hours. We signed up on line to get the free passes for the day. The website was easy to maneuver. We actually set up the passes before turning in to the parking garage. They are open from 10 a.m - 5p.m. I do recommend going. Either really early or really late. It’s free from July - September 6th. 1 adult with kids under 18. Go to their website Ctsciencecenter.org you will see online tickets available or sold out. There’s a limited amount of free tickets. They have the dinosaur exhibit. Which was really cool. The animals move and make sounds. Many hands on activities for all ages. The 6 and 13 year old had fun. I usually buy the membership for the family. 10 person + caregiver is around 300$, but it’s worth it. You can go as many times you want for the year, parking if free, and usually there’s a month you can go to mystic aquarium and maritime free as well. I’m not getting it this year because of the pandemic, but I really love the place and appreciate the free passes.

Awesome place for families with young kids. They have a room about space, saving energy, and about the geology of the earth and much more. They have a temporary butterfly exhibit which is neat. If your a photographer go in the afternoon on a sunny day if your lucky the high pressure sodium lights will be off.
Christine Donovan
Such a great place to explore! There is something for all ages with about 4 floors of exhibits and each with a different theme. The indoor water play set up was perfect for my 2 year old (Bring extra clothes and shoes)!
Updating: just came back a few years later and my kids are now 5 and 8 and one day was just not enough time here! I could spend 1 day for each floor here and it still wouldn't be enough. Can't wait to come back!

We went to Connecticut Science Center last weekend and it's fun. The place is more for the kids with a lot of interesting things for kid to learn and play with. If I have kids, I definitely take them here. Even though the center is not extremely large which cannot be explored in one day, you will have to spend a whole afternoon to visit it.
The center also has a really location and view. My wife took a photo with the Founder Bridge as background. Highly recommend you to take your kids here. :)
Daniel Donnelly
Great place to spend a day with the family. Lots of fun and learning activities. There is a 3D theater with several shows a day. Butterfly exhibit is very enjoyable. If you are lucky, a butterfly may just land on you. There is a separate fun playground-like area where the kids can play with the water-based machines. For the water activities, there are rain covers available of various sizes. I would recommended that the parents bring a pair of water-proof shoes for the child since the feet do get wet. There is a food court offering a variety of sandwiches and pizza. There is a tea and coffee stand, a snack vending g machine and a Frozen yogurt stand.
Elaine Ramirez
Absolutely loved this place! We recieved a year membership for my son's 3rd birthday, and I can't wait to take him again and again. My son found something to explore and visit on every level. We spent a hour on the 1st level alone, which was the water play area, which they have smocks, but I'd recommend to bring some type of water shoe or sandal. The human body exhibit was an experience beyond words; it was a little graphic for kids, but still very interesting. We were in there the shortest time due to the nature of the exhibit, but every other exhibit we visited for half hour to 45 minutes. The rooftop garden was exquisite with amazing views and beautiful flowers. Overall it was an amazing day; I'd recommend going with at least 2 to 3 hours or more (especially if your child likes to explore everything). We didn't get to see the movie or butterfly exhibit, but we will on our next trip for sure. I also noticed that they change certain exhibits to keep things fresh, which is also a plus because it could get boring seeing the same things every time.
Dylan St. Clair
A great mix of exhibits that are both educational and fun. We went as adults without kids and still had a blast learning and experiencing the science center. Very much recommend paying the extra $6 to go to the butterfly room. The quail in their are so funny and sometimes the cocoons hatch.
Jennifer Kennedy-Holmes
I highly recommend this museum! It is excellent. From the exhibits to the butterfly room, this place has so much for kids to see and do. I took my 2 month old and we even found hidden corners for the littlest of scientists! The butterfly exhibit is an extra fee, if you love butterflies it's a nice experience. The solar system room was our favorite and our little one loved the moving dinosaur! There was so much to see and do. Kids of all ages will really love this one.
Jasmine M
Really great experience today. Butterfly exhibit, forty minute movie 3d, asks lots of interesting things to see. Real bodies, space, sports and much more. The kids triple play is about $24 per child and about $3 more per adult. The parking price is between $10-$19 with 3 levels I believe. Your little ones will have a wonderful time. There's also Subway, Froyo, vending machines and a gift shop. The whole staff was nice and friendly. By the way it is really warm in the butterfly exhibit.
Alicia Grieco
This sensory exhibit was amazing. My four year old learned so many things as did her father and I. It was put together so well at a very inexpensive price. Even had a subway in the facility. Cant wait to return.
John Guma
Great fun for the whole family. Interesting displays, with hands on approach. Space ships, racing cars, video games. Sports exhibits. Judge your pitching skills, run against a machine, fly to the edge of the Galaxy! Give yourself at least 3 to 4 hours to cover a good amount of the exhibits, you could easily spend an entire day.
Renald and Rachel
A good place for kids, but also fun as adults. We liked the butterfly experience quite a bit and enjoyed the extreme weather movie that we saw. The space wing has some excellent features including a lay-back and explore interactive display. We had a lot of fun trying some of the different concepts.
judd0112
We had a great time. We were there for a kids birthday party which was very nice. Kids did cool stuff and then you get free admission to the museum/science center and there is lots to see and do. Like 3-D movies and a outer space section and a Lego section a robotic area. Gift shop. There is a subway located inside. And a nice patio/river walk overlooking the Connecticut river. And while we were there the special exhibit of the human body was there where they show all the muscles and veins and nerves in cross sections etc. so it was a busy day and we had fun. I think everyone did as well. And there was a ice cream with frozen yogurt also.
karen luna
Súper cool place, l know it’s for kids but the adult people can enjoy too. I went with my husband without kids and we enjoyed a lot, we spent 2 hours there but you can stay more hours if you want also more if you come with kids. I saw the kids loved it and súper recommendable for go during the Weekend.
Alisa Robinson
Definitely a place you can spend a full day at. Admission is on the pricey side. Unfortunately, they don't participate in any reciprocity with other science museums either. But, the kids really enjoy their time and learn so much which is invaluable.
Each floor has two "rooms" of exhibits, many are hands on and interactive. Each room has a bathroom, super convenient! For food, we prefer to bring our own, but there is a Subway restaurant and FroYo inside the museum. The addition of the Butterflies is great. Butterflies are in a very small area which I imagine gets quite crowded, so stop there first, then see the rest of the museum. Parking is also an additional cost. It was $12 for 4 hours.
Monique Coulson
I took my two Anatomy classes here in order to be able to see the specialty exhibit and they loved it! The staff made things super easy for the field trip overall would definitely recommend to other teachers. If you're interested in a packet for them to work on while they're on the website there is educational materials that can be used pretty easily. I prepared that ahead of time for my students and other teachers were looking for it when they saw my kids doing the work. Unfortunately there wasn't any handouts made available at the actual exhibit so you needed to print it beforehand like I did.
Nick Tackett
Have an awesome butterfly exhibit! The price is fair for what they have to offer! A lot of fun for kids of all ages, they do have a subway, frozen yogurt and a gift shop. You can bring snacks and eat them downstairs in the food court but there's no eating in the exhibits. There is an elevator for anyone who can't walk up the stairs.
Christine Sedita
We loved it so much that we upgraded to the family pass. The kids had a great time and I feel like one trip wasn't enough to fully appreciate everything this museum has to offer. Parking was pretty easy, the cafeteria food was actually pretty good, the gift shop was loaded with educational toys, and all of the exhibits were clean and very interactive and fun. We will be back, ASAP.

Very soothing abd calm place to go for an evening stroll. I study here so I have been here for multiple times and it has been always kind to me. If you are in Hartford then I think you should definitely go here for a stroll or for a jog.
Desiree Courtemanche
This was my first time here with my family. And though it was expensive I definitely recommend buying the membership. My son (8) and my daughter (2) absolutely loved it! We spent a good 3-4 hours here. I do recommend bribing snacks or packing a lunch. Good can get a little expensive but they have a place to sit and eat 😊 we will definitely be back
dinakar a
This is a good place for children and young adults to learn things in an interesting setting. Covers space, physics, biology, human body, water activities for 2-4year olds, computing, sports, many more.
If you are nearby and your kid has an inquisitive mind, I would recommend for an yearly membership
Jason Riccardi
Awesome facility with amazing exhibits. Both my younger son and teenage daughter find plenty to entertain and delight them.. the big blue blocks on the 4th floor are always a fan favorite. They also have amazing special exhibits that are always worth the trip.
jennifer stevenson
My grandson absolutely loves coming here.ans for the summer they are doing free admission for CT residence
Leena Pereira
One of the best museums in CT! The children had a blast! They have a butterfly exhibit; which was my favorite experience there! It literally takes hours to get through the entire place, and offers so many different things to see and do. The place easily receives a 5 star rating from me!
Julie Christianson
This place is a delight of wonder and curiosity for all ages. Go while there is still the butterfly exhibit. It's awesome. My nephew could have spent all day there. Both nephews (5 and almost 10) found wonder all around them through the museum. And it's just great.
Afzal M
I took my 4 year old, thinking maybe couple of hours would be enough. But there is so many things to do with your kids that it turned out to be less. The mummy exhibit was really nice. Also on the weekend there was a animal exhibit show which was good and interesting!
April Sweet
Bubble show was great. Long line for butterfly exhibit, not worth it for kids. Only 2 elevators work so took stairs.
Jen Rondinelli
This place is just as I remember it. I went here many years ago and it's still a fun place. I loved the space and engineering sections and the new Real Bodies exhibit was really cool. The Butterfly encounter was new to me and and there were many different kinds that were very pretty. I do wish there were a few more biology themed sections as that's my favorite area of science, but overall still very fun.
Dan H
I’d strongly advise reading the review count vs actual negative review, tons of trolls as it seems lol- the place is actually not as bad- there are college student special pricing so bring college/alumni ID, we did the butterfly exhibit which was very nice- not at all busy - the rooftop garden was sorta sad maybe due to the fact spring is here, views could’ve been better.
Entire place can be done in 2 hours with butterfly, parking was cheap.
Place is more for kids, can be fun for first time young adult couples-
Keegan Bluegrass
went here many times in my Middle school years . Came back last year with my then 9 year old brother and it was great . they will phase out some exhibits but more poplar ones stay . had a great time with my brother
Gabrielle Lavallee
We visited on a Saturday and it was very crowded, not that fun for young kids when there are too many people. It was expensive for a family of 5 and I was kinda disappointed.
Elizabeth Fairchild
Bodies exhibit was amazing, as well as the other permanent exhibits, lots of activities for children including a live animal show with the animals able to be touched at the end, subway and froyo also available, and a cool gift shop!
Mrs Spindola
Pack your own water and lunches!!
You cannot bring food and drinks inside the exhibits but you can eat and drink at tables inside and outside. There is only a subway to get food and it is packed with people! The museum is clean with sanitizer and sanitizing wipes everywhere! There is plenty of friendly staff that can help and answer questions. The staff even did a few things with kids. We even had a “make-n-take”. The water that the kids play with even seems clean. The parking was a little much. We were there from 9:30-3 and paid $13. Not a fun add on to the admission and lunch prices. Nevertheless, we will for sure go back. My daughter (8) had a lot of fun.
Kate Ward
Such a fantastic place for kids and adults!! And I gotta say they were doing an amazing job going around wipng things down ALOT, they are really doing it right trying to keep everyone safe. Thank you for an amazing day!
Maria Sollenberger
This museum is great! I love how they have areas for just the younger kids to play with on each level. The only negative is parking. It cost $3 for first hour then $2 each additional hour to park for guest.
Anissa Lewis
This is a great place to take the kids for the weekend. There is so much to do. With three floors, a movie theatre, and new exhibits every month there are endless possibilities.

PARENTS, WATCH YOUR CHILDREN!!!!!
Amazing, enlightening knowledgeable experience. However the exhibits would are better suited for children NO YOUNGER than 12 to really understand the concept of this place. The level of education needed is higher than elementary school, which makes it difficult to grasp the concept of what’s going on. It takes time to go though each exhibit if you actually read and grasp what is happening. Butterfly 🦋 garden was a nice touch with the different quail and butterfly’s in the area, a little small.
AGAIN, PARENTS WATCH YOUR CHILDREN....the butterfly garden deliberately give an intro to NOT TOUCH he butterflies because they will die....I saw MULTIPLE CHILDREN AND ADULTS touching the butterflies!! Please, don’t be asinine.
Lana Holly
I loved this place! I'm so glad I went while I was visiting Connecticut. There's a room for all these different branches of science such as Leonardo da Vinci's inventions, weather, space, kinesiology, earth science, and more. Great place to take the kids for a great hands on learning experience!
Dogmom06
I am not a fan of “museums” per se so was leery the first time I visited here. It’s educational, but also interactive and fun! I have enjoyed each visit here, even as an adult. I’ve been here with younger children when taking care of them one summer and it was a fun experience for all. They were constantly engaged by the various activities in the rooms. A great place to spend the day and highly recommend bringing your kids-they won’t even realize they’re learning since it’s such a fun, interactive experience.
Lew Reed
Great place to take the whole family. Lots of things to check out and explore. Great interactive displays. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Would definitely go back again.
January Walsh
What great exhibits , we had a excellent time. I love the building itself so open feeling because of all the windows. The have such great educational material. It helps you learn while having a great time.
Christopher Rios
Amazing place learned alot
J.D. B.
Only three stars because I was told there was a dinosaur exhibit when booking my son's Jurassic World themed birthday party. Only to be told on the day of the party that exhibit was taken down last summer. 😒 I was very disapponted but my son and his friends had a fantastic time so, I guess that's all that mattered. …
Lisa Davis
Nice things for the whole family to choose from at great prices
Melissa Mason
Enjoyed the center as a whole, but felt maintenance and repair was needed on some levels. Loved Butterfly House. Busy during school trip hours.
Stefanie B
The Harry Potter day was fun at the science center. The actors did a REALLY good job!
We really enjoyed the redone engineering exhibit and how they broke it out, like mechanical robotics aerospace electrical.
Always a good time for us (came as an adult obviously and with my 13yr old)
Patrick Jones
We went for my son's 7th birthday and had a blast. Very interactive and engaging for people of all ages. But the gift shop carried Himalayan Salt Lamps, which seemed a little off message...
Maranda Cote
A great place for the kids! We were here for a bday party which was cool because they have a dedicated space for the kids to hangout and eat along with doing cake and presents. The only think that prevented a 5 star review was the "lab time" for the private party. All the kids and parents were taken into the lab where the kids were scheduled to make slime. Cool in theory, but a group of 3-6 year olds were not engaged with the 30 minute science class they had to sit thru before making the slime. The instructor guy wasn't reading the audience and was getting visibly irritated with the chatting and lack of attention he was recieving. The parents were even getting snapped at for chatting on the other side of the room. If it wasnt for that little episode, it would have been great. Still an awesome experience overall.
J Dalton
We really enjoy coming to the science center. There's so much to see and do. There's several floors and fun glass elevators to use on your journey up and down the building. I'm just not a fan of the Subway sandwich shop but it's the only food option and there's froyo for a treat in the lobby area by the gift shop. The butterfly garden is fun and peaceful. We saw the human body exhibits which was so very cool creative and a bit creepy. Last time we came they had the robotics on display. It was cool to see how prosthetics work. Always a good time no matter what special exhibit they have.
Erica Cedeno
Love it, love it love it💖💖💖💖.
Cant wait to go back spent 4hrs there and still feel like I haven't seen everything.
My kids love this place.
Abigail Wilcox
We love this place, been going for the past three years and we're current members. (Ages 6,6, & 9) We're here at least 12 times a year at least an hour or two each time, sometimes more. Plenty to do, exhibits rotate in certain areas every 3 to 4 months. I definitely recommend this for first timers, residents, and passers through.
Bring your lunch or grab Subway in the lobby. Lockers available for 2 quarters. Very accessible, open areas, restrooms on every floor.
Keep an eye out for regular adult happenings, membership gives you a discount on those events and parking too!
Sushil Makhijani
Awesome place for kids and adults, lot of fun activities, exhibitions and lot to explore and learn for everyone. The newly added live shows and real body exhibition experience was amazing.
Galyna Shulimova
Lovely place! Really very very cool place! Good for everyone not just for kids.
Viswa C
Good place for kids - quite a few hands-on activities. About 3 hours will be good amount of time.
Holly Gubanc
Very interactive cute museum, very cold friendly. It's not very informative for adults though.
melissa burritt
Their adult event ,Liquid Lounge was a blast. A great date night and a chance to be a big kid with all the fun exibits to play with.
OFNR Studios
We went on a rainy Saturday and While we did have a great day at this museum there are some issues that could be addressed.
First off It's a large facility with tons to do.
We started out in a water area with smocks provided for the kids to help keep them dry.
We proceeded through the musuem upstairs and visited multiple floors and lots of interactve exhibits.
When the interactive exhibits worked they were generally awesome and informative but we found several broken or not working machines throughout the museum.
Also some of the stations are just a disaster. The paper whirl in engineering for instance was just a mess with paper everywhere. It also Seems like a giant waste of paper.
In other areas like the fossil stations the employees were doing a remarkable job keeping the dirt contained.
Overall it's a great family day out and I don't even think we saw everything.
We definitely feel we got our money's worth and even considered membership. A must see in CT
Jodie Keenan
Went to see Real Bodies today, it was beautifuly curaited. Spent an extra $6 to go to the butterfly garden. SO worth it! They give you membership perks for a limited time with ticket purchase. I'm hoping to go back next weekend with my toddler nephew. Gonna keep him out of the cadaver exhibit, but he would adore the butterflies and the many many floors full of fun interactive educational activities. There's a subway and frozen yogurt place in the lobby for healthier lunch and snack options, directly adjacent to a jungle gym area where you can sit the heck down for a second while they can still run around. Great place for a family visit!
Gary Roegiers
Enjoyed watching/listening and leaning a out animals as caretakers talk about animals.
Yiyo Sosa
Great place to bring kids they get to learn a lot plus it was fun.
sasha davis
The bodies exhibit was amazing and the butterflies brought me a sense of calm. My daughter and niece had an amazing time and didn't want to leave. I'm sure we'll be back!
Chris Steele
Great place. My 4 year old Grandson was fascinated the 5 hrs we spent there and wants to go back soon. Thats good enough for me :-)
Anthony E
Very kid friendly. Definitely worth it and not bad priced,
Erika Canfijn
Very clean facility, friendly & helpful staff. Awesome exhibit on the human body. Interactive butterfly house, which is great for all ages.
Tony DiMonaco
Excellent mix of childrens exploration and adults education. More activites than you can accomplish in a 4 hour visit. If you are local to the area the membership is well worth the cost. I had as much if not more fun then my 2 year old nephew.
Jen McNay
For Earth Day today we took our daughter to the Science Museum in Hartford. What better day to celebrate than learning all about our earth and what it creates? :)
We ended up buying seasons passes because for the price of a day pass for just a little bit more you can get a season pass. We splurged a little bit more and purchased the add-on package of the butterfly room. We love butterflies so it was worth it for us. It's great for the locals because the exhibits change I believe monthly. Although I could probably be corrected on that lol . The exhibit this month was about mummies . When we first walked in my daughter was a bit scared, she is almost 8 years old, but as you got closer and learned the science of mummification it became really intriguing and she actually enjoyed it and really studied the artifacts.
We had a 1:20 appointment at the butterfly room and we made it just in time. My husband had a big brown butterfly land on him. It was amazing. It's definitely worth the trip and the price. I would highly suggest getting the season pass if you're local. Just two visit pays for itself. It was a fun day! Took us about 3.5 hours to get through it all!
Angela Park
This is a great place to bring your family for an interactive, educational, fun day. My family and friends have been meeting here for the past 5 or more years. And the older kids, 10 and 11, are having as much fun as the 5 and 6 year olds. There is on-site parking, which costs about $10 for 4 hours. There is a Subway on site if you get hungry, or you can bring your own food. Easy on/off 91.
Sara Bl
Nice place good environment for family day the staff so nice
Anthony White
My daughter had an amazing time, I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. Definitely recommend checking it out if you haven't already.
Amanda Buzby
There are so many interactive areas. I had so much fun with my mom, brother, and sister in law. I can't wait to go back!

Great experience for our 5 yr old. There are several floors so allow enough time to play with the many hands on experiences that await you, 3-4 hrs. Food is expensive. It's Subway. They allow you to bring your own if possible. Parking is underground and extra.
Heather Mascarenhas
Brought my children, ages 4 & 7, here this past weekend for the first time. We purchased a membership in advance, as well as tickets to the 3D dinosaur movie. While we will go back, just a few things to note: the Dino movie which we paid around $25 for (total 4 member tickets) was not for young kids. Both of mine were so bored that we left 20 mins in. Too much talking and following scientists and not enough dinosaurs. It was not worth the extra money in my opinion; especially seeing we left halfway through. The other disappointment was the bathrooms. Every single floor had bathrooms which was nice but, most had sink (not working) or soap (empty) issues and ALL had freezing bitter cold water where it hurt to wash your hands. When you have kids touching things after other kids, and going to the bathroom, certainly would want to have all of us wash our hands appropriately. I said something about this to customer service and it was shrugged off as “yeah it happens especially when it’s cold outside.” Problem with that theory was that, it was mid 40’s on this day and had been pretty nice weather before hand. Other than these few things, our kids had fun and now as members we can come back and spend more time exploring the place. Just won’t make the mistake again on purchasing movie tickets.
Jayshree Sureka
The place is good for kids who want to explore different aspects of science through games and exhibits. Not so interesting for adults though.
Nattoya Bryan
It was great seeing all those animals 😊.
Leslie B
Lots to do and explore. We love the hand on experience and how the exhibits change so you can never get bored. Too bad pricing is so high or we would come not often. Over $30 a ticket plus $7 for a movie ticket plus more if you want to do the special features exhibit (currently the butterfly exhibit). Even food is pricey with Froyo featuring a small ice cream at over $5. Also, you have to pay parking. Really must plan on getting there early and spending the day, bring your own food if you are on a budget. Otherwise they have a Subway and pizza and other food items to purchase.
Sammi
I came here with some friends for the Harry Potter exhibit and it was great! It is definitely for children with a lot of activities for them. Make sure you check if your work offers discounts!
James Bruggman
Fair warning. Its catered to a childs experience, 6 and under. Visited during regular display but they have events like Maya days as well.
Wing Na Wong
Great place for kids to explore, definitely getting your money worth it to get the membership.
Rafal Z
Great place for kids, my niece have a ton of fun !!!
gina dipietrantonio
I think this place tends to be a little bit more on the expensive side to what kind of exhibits there are. It's much more geared to older kids, not a TON of hands on fun things to do. A lot more reading than hands on learning. Which isnt BAD, but it is multi levels of the same sort of thing. It's also crammed into small areas even though there are different floors, so if its busy or you're at an event- forget it. I've gone twice for events and everything took so long and there were so many people and children we couldn't see much. We ended up spending hours- but just getting in, trying to see exhibits, and waiting in lines for everything. There's also no one walking around during these events from the museum and had a lot issues with children AND parents (which I KNOW should be parents job, but maybe anyone else from the museum could speak up instead of other patrons). Just not impressed overall.
Betsie Rosa (The Traveling Butterflies)
First time visiting Hatford so we decided to go to the museum😊. It is such a nice place for children my 3 yrs old daughter like it a lot! They have a 3d dinosaurs movie fun to watch! A little pricey, but worth the $$$$! …
Kris Skerencak
The kids and I love this place! Its very handsome on and super educational!
Lady of the Cats
My daughter absolutely loved it! Nice, clean bathroom with like changing station. Cute gift shop. If you want to bring a lunch, plenty of seating.
Sana Azhar
Kids really enjoyed their visit to the Science Center.
Dan Villeneuve
A fun place for the family, there is always something new to enjoy.
Troy Cummings
They always have a fun Halloween weekend in the 3rd or 4th week of October.
Tamara Rivera
Awesome 👏 My little one was amaze with so many colors and things to see and do . I spend almost 4 hours and it’s amazing . A place for everyone really not just kids . I had an amazing time . Kids love this place 💕
Greg Kowal
Great place for the whole family. Alot of different interactive, fun, and educational activities for everyone.
Salam Khalid
Very educatiinal institute that have a very nice skulled well trained welcoming staff that you need to bring your kids and every one you know to join here.
Adriana Laser
This place is a wonderful way way to spend A-day with your kids or even on a date. There are 4 floors of activities and exhibits. They have spent great effort to make as many of them interactive as possible for example space Physics human body clean energy etc. Be warned the traveling exhibit currently is mummies and disturbing for most young viewers. The butterfly exhibit exhibit costs extra and often sells out I recommend buying a pass in advance. There were 3 different imax movie options when we went. There is also Subway for lunch break But the Frozen yogurt shop was closed. You may want to bring a change of clothes for kids who like to visit the water exhibit as my son got very wet playing.
Ainka Scott-Antoine
3 main floors of exploration. Interactive exhibits, Sunday afternoon well spent.
Jesse Smith
A great place for kids and adults to learn and play!
Buff Bachenheimer
It was great for a small child. She had a good time.
Taylor C.
The hands on activities are a lot of fun for your young ones, but not for anyone else
when security kicks you out of the center when you are under 18 (Although it is a kids place) and buckle bracelets are 8 dollars. You know that Hartford has reached an all time low.
Rui Henriques
First time here with the family. Easy to get to from the highway and easy back on, pretty much a great location. The center was clean and the staff were very friendly and always happy to help.
Our kids (6) and (8) were extremely excited and had an absolute blast. They loved everything from the Butterfly experience and Dinosaur exhibit, to the Space Center and Water stations. It's a good sized location to keep us entertained and educated for about 2 hours.
The only drawback is the lack of onsite food options. Pretty much only Subway, even though not a horrible choice. Yes there is also onsite parking for a small fee.
Overall it was fun and educational. Would definitely recommend.
Brittany Young
My son had a blast here
Nina
We recommend!!
Right now it's not the best because of covid but, at least it's open.
We have the family membership. It's worth it if you plan on going more then 1 time. Right now with covid you have to reserve a time to go. We reserved for 2 pm. You have a 1 hour window to arrive, we had until 3 pm. You have to reserve your time to enter but, can leave at anytime. Can stay until closing as well. Must wear a mask at all times. They give you hand sanitizer when you arrive and take your temperature(touchless).
With the membership there is also a flat rate fee for parking at the garage it is $5 per visit. With the membership they also include free entrances to other places, its like a monthly thing. Such as mystic aquarium, zoos etc. Although right now they are suspended because of covid. We have eaten at Subway which is located inside, in lobby. Can be pricey and not alot of option like outside subways. Check out their birthday options. They seem like a good deal compared to other places. They also have temporary exhibits which are great to not get tired of the same exhibits. Right now their temporary exhibit is a Mayan exhibit. We absolutely loved it!
Lauren Fobert
The parking entrance is to narrow and small. There were toany summer camp kids there. Couldn't enjoy much until the camp kids left. It was just to crazy! I also would of liked a little more time with the butterflies. Especially since we have to pay to see them! There wasn't many things for my 6 year old to do. It's more for older kids. There were a few things for her age group. I won't be going again until my daughter's older.
Anansa B
Lots to see and do. Very kid friendly. The kids did not want to leave.
Aaron Hamilton
Lots to do at the Connecticut Science Center. The design of the building alone is something to admire.
Thomas Ciccolini
A wonderful place for adults and kids of all ages. Plenty of hands on exhibits. Have been a member for over seven years.
Y W
Hands down one of the best children’s museum we’ve visited in the east coast. A lot of hands-on interactive activities for kids in all different age range. Not crowded on a Sunday in late June. Employees were friendly and there were hand sanitizing and wet wipes stations throughout the museum. Thank you also for enforcing the mask wearing policy (because let’s be honest, a lot of adults are not honest and would take off the masks even though they are not fully vaccinated). We felt safe and the space was clean. Can definitely spend a whole day here with the kids if you really explore all the exhibits.
PS got an email stating that all kids reside in CT can visit the museum for free during the 2021 Summer along with a free accompanying adult. So if you are a CT resident then definitely take advantage of it and do something educational with the kids. No free parking around so will need to park in the garage. Not pricy either. Worthwhile.
Anisa Kutrolli
Many things to do with the kids I always feel like we run out of time, I have purchased the membership for two years now and kids always have fun exploring there's things to do for every age kids and grown ups
Renee Ferri
Thanks Connecticut we were able to enjoy a free trip this summer to the Connecticut Science Center the kids really enjoyed it. Thank you to Connecticut Science Center for participating and the summer program for Connecticut kids.
Scott Jarzombek
Worth the drive. The facility is clean & interactive. The staff are very friendly. A quality experience for kids & adults.
Ari Dorfman
Great museum. Kids love it. Always visit when in town. There is a Subway inside which is nice for lunchtime.
CT Ryan
Great place for the kids. Took my grandkids there and they barely left the downstairs room with the balls and waterways@
Antonio Mendez
Nice place to visit and enjoy for kids and adults. Definitely will come back.
Lots of activities for the kids and eat downstairs.
Kelly Hunt
My kids always love it here, I also love the liquid lounge
David Powers
Great place for children. I like the yogurt shop in back.
Chris Delaney
The science center itself was great
However pretty pricey if not for children and one adult are free this year. Also our grandchildren are a little young for a full experience here. Still a great time was had by our three grands, ages 3, 3 and 4. Also we would not recommend the add ons for younger children.
Bill Beck
On our trip to Hartford, we stopped here with our 2 year old daughter. She enjoyed a lot of the exhibits, especially the butterfly room and the area with the running water.
Randall P. Carver
Great place to visit with kids up to 13 or geeky/not self conscious kids up to 16. Because of the volume and mix of visitors, some of the more fragile experiences might not be working, but there's a ton to do here.
Troy Jones
Went to see the mummy exhibit today. Definitely well put together. It consisted of artifacts from multiple museums plus a mummy made from a U.S. university using traditional ancient Egyptian tools. Very interesting...kind of sad...there were a few babies...
Take your kid while you have the chance. Not much of this kind of stuff in museums in CT.
Brendon Hoch
Great time for kids! A few exhibits were closed for covid but there's still a ton of fun to be had. Spent 2+ hours here with my 11 year old. Timed tickets meant it never got crowded. Parked on site in garage for $7.
Cindy Gaucher
We have a good time 🌃 ⏲️ …
Elsie Innocent
It's a great place for kids. Everything is hands on. We had a great time !
Lou Madonna
Great for kids and adults. Busy on the Saturday we went. Bubble Mania was a great show
Melanie Metzger
Great place for the kids, and us adults had fun too. Lots to keep everyone busy.
Tamara Osborn
Great for a few hours out of the heat and for smaller children 2-7.
Christopher Stagg
Great place. Very clean. Several times I saw employees wipping down the exhibits and they have wipes to use for your hands everywhere. Exhibits are really good with a good amount of variety. Going to get a membership because it is very worth it for the kids.
Teo Pellegrino
Great science center. Wonderful exhibits as well as 3d educational movies. Subway, gift shop and froyo available. Love the Space section.
Jason A
This place is amazing. We took our 2 children ages 5 and 16 and everybody had a great time. We even became members so we can go whenever we want for free. The little ones will love the water room, may be a good idea to do that last as they will get a little wet even though there are water proof smocks available. There is something for everyone, lots and lots of hands on exhibits and 3D movies as well. I highly recommend taking the trip to anyone, you won't regret it
Connie D
Get the timed tickets online before you go. There’s also a parking fee of $5 and it’s a covered garage with stairs and elevators connected to the entrance, so you never have to worry about the weather. Once inside, they scan your temperature first before letting you in. You have to wear mask at all times and keep your social distance. There’s so many things to do here(check out the photos). We had so much fun especially in the
freeze frame 360. My 1 year old grandson had a blast. There’s something for all ages not only to have fun with but to learn. Unfortunately, the butterfly encounter was closed, build a coaster and a few other exhibit. But even so, we were very satisfied. The beautiful view outdoor is a plus. You can buy your food at the cafe and eat outdoor. There are a few indoor seating. You have to make sure you’re out by 5pm or you will be locked out until probably the security will come around to let you back in coz there’s no other way back to the garage. We got carried away with the beautiful view outside the building plus the beautiful weather and forgot about the time. The doors were locked when we were going back inside. Luckily, there was a very nice staff cleaning up, who saw us and let us in, who said that the doors lock automatically at 5pm. It would be nice if there’s a PA system indoor and outdoor to remind visitors when it’s near the closing time.
Apple I
Awesome exploring place for the kids. Interesting exhibition and beautiful panoramic of CT river.
Vivian Franco
It's a great place! Has lots of interaction, but it's more center for kids of the ages 4 and up. I brought my 2 year old and he only enjoyed a small portion of the exhibit. But not all kids are the same. It's nice to try with your kids at least once.
Lindsey Wray
Absolutely amazing! We have 3 little boys, 9,7 and 3. They loved it as well as us adults!
Stella Maris
I loved this place growing up but returning this week was a little disappointing. My little brother had a great time, but many exhibits were closed/broken. It's not surprising that covid has taken a toll on this place which is very unfortunate. But they room many covid safety precautions like requiring masks for all guests and having antibacterial hand wipes available. I was pleased with that aspect.
Nate P
This place is amazing! Great for kids with lots of hands on and interactive exhibits. Rotating shows, movies, and exhibits every year so there is always something new. The membership here is a steal; offering reciprocity at multiple museums, zoos, and aquariums and a significantly discounted parking rate. Cannot recommend enough for a fun family day.
Jane John
A great place for kids! Adults can definitely enjoy as well. I think it is catered more to kids, but there are more activities than average(much better than Liberty Science Center) that adults can enjoy. It is definitely the best science museum I went to as an adult. I enjoyed it as a non parent. Advice to adults - go early!
Brandon’s Outlet
I came here a few months ago and loved it. It is so beautiful, so nice, and crowded but not too crowded. It was wonderful.
Henley Plante
I was nervous to go because I read reviews about a lot of exhibits being closed, however i only saw 3 exhibits that were closed, there is so much to do there and there's a lot of hands on stuff for the kiddos , all the exhibits were wonderful, the kids really enjoyed the space exhibit and the dinos, the butterfly garden was awesome and in comparison to the one in Boston, it was beautiful , there was literally my group and one other group in the butterfly room, we went on a Friday and it wasn't packed at all , really fun place to take the kids . $9 for extras and we were there for 6 hours , so many floors to explore and everything was great , I will deff be back !
Aerin Paulo
Always has great and interesting exhibits. Okay for kids 2-3, great for 4+, heck, even cool for adults. Lots of interactive exhibits, very clean, plus great views of Hartford. Even the gift shop is nice and has a good variety of items. The only complaint I have is that it's pretty pricey and only offers reciprocal membership options on certain days, but I also understand that admission helps keep the place clean and open. All in all a great place to spend the afternoon, and it's right down the road from a lot of great restaurants!
Kate Rodriguez
Lots of fun if you have kids!!
Esther Gonzalez
My kids loved it and so did I! Met some cool folks, Bobby in the Shop with his 3D printer and other neat creations. Also met Serfa the Seed Huntress who is on an Eco project currently traveling to Island Sound via canoe. Mask are required.
Richardson Price
This place can easily vassilate between 2 and 5 stars based on crowds. You couldn't pay me to go on a rainy Saturday but if you can get there with your kid on a quiet weekday its great. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They do a really good job of keeping the place tidy and the exhibits ready to use unless there is an onslaught of kids.
Mike Milanczuk
It was convenient to park at the garage under the museum. The museum is clean and tidy. It is not as young-child friendly as I expected as there are open metal 2 story stair cases that you have to be very diligent about if you have young kids. However, they are very accommodating for nursing mothers and there were benches throughout. The exhibits were neat but my kids are on the younger side and were not able to be as engaged as older kids. I would say it was a fun experience but might not be worth the money if your kids are under 5. We will definitely be back once our little ones are a few years older.
Paul Lindsey
Excellent place to take the kids. Plan for a minimum of 3 hours if you'd like to visit every level. The place is massive!
However, they need to spend more time fixing exhibits as there are a good number of them that were broken, even for new exhibits.
The summer camps here are also very good too. They do a really good job setting it up and running it.
Adam F
The number of floors they list themselves as having can be a little misleading (they seem to include the parking levels), but this place was amazing. So much to do, and build, and touch...the space and motion sections were great...and so was the main floor little kids area, which showcased a giant water powered “marble” run, fully interactive and wildly entertaining
Adam D'Ambra (RAD-CON LLC)
What a great place to take the kids! There is so much for them to touch and do. There is also a live butterfly garden, small but very nice. They have a great water play area but be prepared with extra clothes to change them into when done. Don't forget to bring extra shoe's for the water play area. We normally do water play last. The membership gets you $5 parking, discount's around the area and you can bring guest's as long as one of the primary members is there.
Jeanette Marulli
Lots of things for kids to do and see , still a lot of hands on stuff available and check out the classes and work shops the kids can take. Its a Separate fee and very cool. Staff was very friendly and hhelpful. Covid cautions are in place and it feels safe
Christina Levitan
We had visited on a spur of the moment type deal while we were vacationing in Connecticut. Upon arrival, I was a bit sticker shocked at the price of admittance plus the extra fees to do special exhibits. We were concerned that our daughter would be too old for this science center (age 6) but we were so wrong! There are 6 floors of amazing things to learn, even for adults! The CT Science center leaves nothing out! The have a rooftop garden and a butterfly exhibit you can walk through. Admittedly, it is not the most amazing butterfly exhibit I have seen, but for the amount of room they have to work with, I understand. Our daughter was able to program a life size robot to talk and move around. They have a floor for engineering, an area for saving energy and how the things we use everyday effect the power we use. There are live reptiles on display, though you have to be really small like a child to see some of them. Pretty cool though how they designed it all for kids of young ages to see such cool creatures. They have a HUGE section on space and another HUGE section on AI technology. Another room completely dedicated to mazes and puzzles. Everything can be easily accessed for those with disabilities and wheelchair accessible. Absolutely incredible the way this place is designed to teach everyone all these things! So, if you feel like I did and were unsure about the price or if maybe you child might not be interested, just know that it is WELL worth the trip for anyone of any age. I wish I could go back everyday!
Katy Phillips
In my option this is the best kids museum in the state. There are multiple floors of learning entertainment for kids of all ages. On the first floor there’s a water play area. On another floor there’s space, LEGO play zone, and an environmental area with live animals and. A flowing river to understand water dynamics. They always have rotating exhibits like a live butterfly garden and an energy STEM exhibit. The place is always clean and well cared for. A bonus is the great view from the top floor of Hartford and the Connecticut River. For food, there’s a subway and ice cream place. The gift shop has awesome stem toys. To note: the parking garage I the building is often full when there’s a convention at the convention center next door but there are other nearby garages within a block.
In the past they have done an exchange with Mystic Aquarium whereby your membership at one gets you in the other for a month for free.
Jason Provence
Lots of hands on activities, though some seemed to not be functioning properly. Would be an amazing place to take the kids!
Stephanie Lehrer
Timed ticket was awesome. No crowds but a lot of exhibits closed for same price. Even giftshop and food not open. My sons loved all the exhibits. Very interactive and high tech.
Tina Nolan
I can’t imagine how anyone could have a bad experience here. It’s totally worth it. I have a membership for me and my children and it’s worth every cent. We come throughout the year for their themed celebrations/events, they have an awesome butterfly room, a theater room, multiple levels with easy and rapid elevator access for each separate category of science... it covers every base. With our membership we are able to go all year round, with some discounts and only pay $5 to park every time so it stays affordable. We also get free entry to Mystic Aquarium for the month of March, free entry to Norwalk Aquarium in January, and free entry to Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport come September. It’s totally worth it.. my son loves the Space room with the planets, and spaceship.. everything is so interactive and friendly. Highly recommend.
Tim Dolan
Solar eclipse, busy but good. Like the new permanent butterfly exhibit.
tara heard
Great place for the whole family especially the kids. All can discover and learn new and exciting things. Highly recommend a visit before the end of Summer. I will be taking my kids back.
Jason S
Amazing place for kids and parents. You can easily spend the day there. There's a ton of different exhibits and activities for all ages. exhibits are kept clean and bathrooms and clean and plentiful. They have single bathrooms as well that are equipped for kids (changing tables, step stools). Would recommend, will be going back.
Colton Medeiros
Amazing display of all things science for all ages.
Tati Lc
This is free for CT residents, and it is a beautiful and engaging Science Center. There is not a single thing in there that the kids are not allowed to touch. The butterfly exhibit was breath taking and almost made my mother in law cry. As she had never experienced anything like that before. My boys were so happy to watch a butterfly actually hatch from it cocoon. Honestly I dont think theres an age limit for this place, as I witnessed some college kids on a date with no kids at all. I adore this place and I am so grateful for its convenience and organization, even during the Covid pandemic.
R Cossuto
This is the first time I have been, but second for my wife and children. Was a fantastic day a very hands on approach to learning. Two of the attractions were closed which was a bummer. The roof top garden was closed due to the season and another exhibit closed because of a newer that is going in it place. Nevertheless was still a wonderful day. I would recommend this place if you have small children. The only issue that we had was the parking it was a busy day and the parking garage for the science was full. So we just drove across the street to the convention center parking garage and had a short walk.
Cindy Perry
Great Family event! There so much to see and do! When you step off the elevator The Adventure Begins ,Stimulating the sensors of the Children as well as the adults!! One whole day isn't enough time to explore this wonderful place! The staff is amazing! My 1st trip made me want to get the awesome deal of Membership which is TAX! DEDUCTIBLE !AND PAID FOR within my 2nd visit! Now that's value and my grandchildren have the time of
Thei lives ! Love exploring in my own Backyardl! Can't wait for The next Trip of knowledge and the totally awesome exhibits!
bonnie piccolo
Can be a very expensive trip for families of 3 or more. The kids had a blast and enjoyed many of the exhibits. The bodies exhibit was small in comparison to the last time it was in town, but still very educational. Go during the week, as it gets busy on the weekends
Briana Favale
My family and I love this place! I have two toddlers and baby and we go quite a bit. My kids love the water play area and other toddler-specific sections. Make sure to bring extra clothes if you go to the water area though, my kids always get soaking wet. Easy to get from the parking garage to the science center as well. I am a member and it has been so worth the price! We've visited many other places for "free" because we are members!
Jay Pathmanathan
It's a vast space to explore and learn. The exhibits are pretty good - definitely educational for an 8 year old. Not as great as science museums in bigger cities (which would be fine, except that the entrance cost is the same). Really cool that the whole building is powered by a fuel cell.
Kyle Misiaszek
My kids enjoy coming here a couple times per year. Decent selection of interactive exhibits, displays, activities, and games. It takes my family 3 to 4 hours to visit everything. They have a traveling exhibit which rotates a couple times a year.
Katherine Harris
Great place for kids of all ages. The butterfly exhibit is really cool (note extra charge not included in general admission). I have been as a teacher in a field trip and as parent and they always do a great job! If you are an educator the science labs you can do are amazing!
David Arbuckle
This museum has a very friendly staff. All of the exhibits are kid friendly and exciting. Some are clearly more suited for younger kids, like the "Curious George" area. Which was fun, but a bit disheveled due to high traffic from a school visiting. If you can, avoid the museum when the is a large group from a school.
Trajan Spillane
It was awesome! We loves the human body exhibit, but it's probably going to give small children nightmares. But they would love the rest of the place. There are many hands on exhibits that are really informative and educational. Definitely worth a visit.
Kurt L
Great selection of exhibits, the movie options are fun and parking is convenient. My kids love to start in the water play area and then go exploring. It's a wonderful place to spend a day inside when the weather isn't cooperating.
Ahava Schoenholtz
Not really so interesting for young kids it wasa bit advanced for them. My oldest daughter is 8.
The butterfly exhibit was really nice and the water was the obly hands on. The theater and lots of others exhibits were closed due to covid
Jason Glenn
This a wonderful, interactive place to bring a child. The first floor is dedicated to water play, but don't worry, you don't need a bathing suit because they provide plastic poncho's for the little ones. The rest of the museum is dedicated to mechanics, kinetics, the body, nature, space, and so much more! They continually switch out exhibits so there is always something new to explore.
Robert Rastelli
Love coming here with the kids. Spent the day a few weeks ago with the kids and our extended family. They have great interactive exhibits for the kids to play with and plenty of benches for the adults to sit on when they are tired out by all the stairs.
Tracey-ann George
Like other visitors I found the experience to be an interesting and fun one for my kids. However, of significance to me is that last year when we visited both my kids had unexplained rashes the day after the visit. Perplexing but not a big deal but fast forward to today and my son wakes up with a rash after visiting the center on a class trip yesterday...coincidence? Not sure...if anyone has or has had this experience please comment back. I would hope that they are properly sanitizing their interactive items.
Soraya Kaoroptham
Great educational entertainment for children. I recommend to buy the membership here, it will pay of after few visits. There are about 7 levels in the building. Main level mainly for toddlers, it seems that the higher the level the advanced the exhibits are. Parking is easy since the adjacent parking lot garage is connected to the building. From the highest floor you can see the beautiful river that are across the building. Last time I went, there is a rooftop garden open. You could also book a party here. There is an IMAX theatre too here in which I believe you have to pay extra. Cafeteria is also available in the building. There is a giant piano tile that the kids could play with. It is a great fun while at the same time very educational.
Shan Jiang
Out of all of the different science museums out there in the north east, this one is by far the best. The facilities are modern and new. Self opening doors with soft close made just for kids! Lots to do. A subway and froyo on premise. Great to spend a whole day with the kids here.
Sarah Thomas
First time here. It was alright. Several of the little game things weren't working properly. The website is a little deceiving regarding the area reserved specifically for young children (6 and under). It's much smaller than the pictures seem to show and there aren't as many activities as I thought there would be. Not terrible-not great. It's an hour to an hour and a half diversion, but I'm not sure it's worth it if your kids are quite young. Mine is almost three.
Jacob Rockwell
Fun great day time activity very kid friendly, I dont know if it always has as many children there as they do but there were many things my group was unable to do based purely on the amount of children running amok. The staff is helpful enough but doesn't do anything proactive they wait for you to tell them something is wrong instead of looking for it themselves. All in all fun time and lots of things around after you are done there.
Tony Collings
First off; there is definitely plenty to do, six floors of exhibits!! With two adults and two younger kids though (4 and 6 years) I wouldn't say it was worth the $100+ . We did pay extra for the butterfly exhibit and it was a little disappointing. Unless your absolutely crazy about butterflies I would probably skip this. It's a very small butterfly house with very few butterflies (when we were there). Perhaps it was the wrong time of year? There is definitely a ton of exhibits and things to do but I think younger kids easily get overwhelmed, perhaps because everything is mixed in together? Older and younger kids stuff it's hard to find things and focus. Within a couple of floors the kids were "bored" and wanted ice cream. For me there was definitely a lot more I wanted to take-in and I would have loved to stay longer; but with the amount of "content" I think younger kids easily get overwhelmed/bored. In my honest opinion; definitely a great place for older kids with an interest in STEM.
Nancy McGill
Very fun place to take the kids! Several levels of exhibits. Keep coats in the car if parking in the garage. There is a coat rack or lockers to rent for .50 (be sure to read the instructions, I had to pay twice). Food for purchase and a little coffee stand.
J T A
This is the view from the science center's rooftop garden.. it was very beautiful

Very quiet on a Sunday morning. I felt very safe there. Everytime we left a display or activity a staff member followed up and cleaned what we had touched. If you are looking for something to do with the family during this time, I highly recommend a visit to the Ct Science Center! We practically had the place to ourselves.
Matt Taylor
We have been members here for about a year and we plan to re-up our membership. We have two boys a 2 year old and a 4 year old. They have a blast every time we come here.
During the summer we have been bringing them in their bathing suits so when they play in the water area near the entrance we don't have to worry about them getting soaking wet. Come winter time we might skip the suits but I still plan to bring water shoes since there tends to be a lot of puddles on the floor in the water play area.
The exhibits are interesting, well maintained, and simple enough for a child to grasp, yet still interesting as an adult to interact with.
The butterfly exhibit is quite nice and if you wear bright colors they will often land on you if you stay still.
They also have an exhibit that rotates what it is on the fourth floor which is nice as the rest of the center is fairly static in what it contains.
Katz Eyex
Kids love to come here. They had a cool sock skating rink that the kids thoroughly enjoyed. They change out different areas which is nice so that there is always something new to see or do.
Deanna Nurmi
First time going here with my son. He had a blast i love all the different floors and rooms. Enjoyed the butterfly exhibit. Also like that they have a subway in the building because by the time we were done exploring around we were starving.
Fredly Jimenez
Great place for kids and their parents.
Eleanor Burdick
Fantastic place to visit, I'm handicapped, use walker and wheelchair! That day it was necessary for me to be in the wheelchair and I was flabbergasted at what we got to see and do! Amazing activities offered by the museum, from the beginning of our journey through the world of knowledge and experience of learning real objects on display, movies, shopping and the fantastic world of Butterflies, it's amazing what you walk away from this adventure with!
Brian O'Connor
Great place for some family friendly fun. It's a little bit pricey, but if you plan on visiting two or three times in one season, getting the season pass is definitely the way to go.
Lots to do and see. Lots of kid-friendly activities to try out. Highly recommended.
Machi M
We loved it and will be going back again. The kids had a blast. We spent a few hours and not a dull moment. We watched the 3D movie. Everything was clean and neat. A bit pricey on the fees but expected at a place like this. Overall we had a wonderful experience and learned a few things.
C Gorman
We loved it so much that we got a membership. Great for our almost 5 year old and his inquisitive mind. Plenty to keep our 2 year old busy too. Wear water clothes (or bring a change) if you plan to do the water play on the 1st floor. We made that mistake the 1st time! Easy to get on and off the highway
Samantha Montes
It was okay. Could have been better. It was alot smaller then expected. I dont feel like it was very worth it my son mainly only liked playing with the water. The shop itself barely had anything in it.

Was looking for a place to kill some time while waiting for a convention to let out across the street and this was the closest place.
Geared towards children. With that in mind...it wasn't very fun for 2 40-somethings and a 70 year old.
There were many exhibits that were interesting and informative. It's a hands on place for the kids and all of the kids there appeared to be having lots of fun. I would definitely recommend to parents.
Sunny D
It was clean, fun and very interesting! The staff was as to be expected laid back except for the associate in the Galaxy! He was super friendly, while maintaining social distance. He was certain to introduce us to the comfortable seating 😉👍 …

One of my favorite museums of all time. Traveling exhibits are pretty cool to check out. Typical of museums- lots of kid stuff to do. Roof top garden has a great view of the Connecticut River valley, and the free view finder magnifies a lot! Parking in underneath garage is hourly, but decent, at $3 for the first hour, and $2 for every hour after.
Nitin Varma
It is a good place to go for 2-3 hours of family fun. Though they say they have a lot of interactive exhibits but there is still a large quantity of them that require intense reading - not quite the stuff 8 to 10 year olds are looking for. The interactive exhibits are not too engaging either, except a few. We went on MLK day and all interactive exhibits were crowded. We left at 7pm and there was only one lane manned at the exit of the parking garage - led to a queue of cars backed all the way up to the 3rd floor.
Whitney Shackford
Wow, this place is packed with so many neat exhibits and things to learn and experience. You can touch, listen and play while learning with all ages. There's dinosaurs to how sound works to energy and lights. Great place to check out with kids or just yourself. Cant wait to go back.

From a perspective of a parent with children 7-11, I wasn't so impressed. The younger kids will certainly be far more intrigued, but won't be able to utilize any information if they aren't unusually well developed readers. Other than a few stations in the robotics exhibit (not a permanent exhibit), my 11 year old was bored and challenging to engage. The entire museum was like a children's hands on play museum where all the "toys" were locked in display cases you could slightly interact with, but unless you can read at a high school level you can't comprehend what the display is really showing. And so, couldn't retain the interest of my 11 year old whatsoever. He did enjoy finding our house on Google Earth, but he regularly does that from my phone anyway.
They have a live butterfly exhibit, but it costs extra to experience so we did not (the tickets for this with general admission cost far more than admission tickets at stand alone butterfly experiences.)
Gift shop had some interesting items but many things were disappointing. Who goes to a museum like this to take home an overpriced puzzle that can be bought at Walmart?
I was really upset I didn't get to see the rooftop garden. For some reason this area is only open a few hours a day, starting around mid afternoon. Why?!
Miguel Flores
Good place to bring your kids. Make sure to bring an extra set of clothes and sneakers if they play in the water area. A lot of things for the kids to do. You do have to pay for parking. They have food. Subway and frozen yogurt. Lockers for your things 50 cents. Kids store and a 3D theater. Four floors of different things to do. They also have an outside area in the summer time on the roof. Nice view from the top floor looking towards the CT river. This time they also have a butterfly experience for 5 dollars.
Ashley Papa
Kids love it here. Lots of things to do and see for all ages. There are multiple floors so if you have a handicap member it may be annoying to get around although there is an elevator. They have rotating featured attractions and sometimes have “after hours” adult theme parties. The only draw back is the price of admission - on the expensive side. Great eating across the street from the center but nothing great inside the center.
Eric Peterson
Second field trip with my son. Always a fun time.
Christine T
A great place to get out if the heat. We got a military discount and spent the day here to get out of the extreme summer heat we had. I wrapped my 4 month old baby and wore him around the whole place. I happy I did because the museum has a couple floors. The elevators are roomy enough for strollers but navigating the exhibits would have been a hassle. Everything was kid friendly and had lots of buttons to push and interact it. Plus on the way out there's a Froyo on the first floor.
R “Lady” G
Brought three kids of various ages, and all three found enough interesting exhibits to occupy them for four hours. Field trip day is not a good day for a visit though. You may need to check first. Parking is not free, but is reasonable in the area
Matthew N
Exhibits are amazing for children of all ages. Educational, fun, interactive. Water area will steal the show but the other areas hold their own! We went for the Harry Potter event but any day is a great day there.
Adam Ferrari
Love the science museum. We took our daughter when she was 1 and another about nine months later. At every age group, they have something that will keep them entertained. A little pricey but if you plan to come regularly, they have yearly passes.
K Lamb
This is a neat building. So many things you can do all in one day. Each level has at least one different theme with fun activities for kids. I've heard they offer more adult activities from time to time but it's still interesting to check out even when they're not. Both the inside and the outside architecture provide some contrast to the surrounding area. They have their own parking structure or there's more parking nearby at the convention center. Lots of other great things in the neighborhood within walking distance. I like visiting the Science Center with the kid and grabbing a bite to eat at one of the surrounding restaurants.
Melissa Freeman
The place to go with curious little kids. Lots and lots of thinks they can play with. We were there with a 3 and 4 year old so they kept themselves entertianed with the various displays. So nice we did not have to keep saying "don't touch" - instead it was "have at it". They have been here a number of times in fact we had season passes so they had a few "must do" exhibits and a few new and interesting exhibits. Finally at the end of the day we stopped at the water exhibit and had a hard time getting them to stop so we could leave and we let them play over an hour here alone. (Bring a set of dry clothes you will need them). A true place for kids!
Eric Wold
Awesome place spent all day there only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the butterfly exhibit is $6 a person so our family would have been another $24. There was a ton of interactive stuff for the kids and adults have fun too staff was friendly and helpful bathrooms were clean we had a good time.
Sheeba Priya
Children and adults would love this place
Joe Fioretti
Took the kids here over the weekend, I think they're doing a fantastic job spacing out the amount of patrons allowed in at one time, we had a blast. Unfortunately quite a few of the exhibits were not operational ... if they were I'd have given 5 stars
Wendy Sweller
Just great ! Alot of hands on for the kids
Julie Watson Jones
We took my son's 5th grade class here on a field trip. The staff works very hard to keep it organized. The movie (Dream Big) was great, the kids enjoyed the lab, and exhibits are fun...they liked the Robotics room the best. Only minus is we lost some time because our buses were late getting us there and had to wait in afternoon to get on buses. They were there but had to wait in line behind other buses. Very busy place!
Che Lugo
It's mostly for kids but I enjoyed the real bodies exhibit.
Sherri-Ann Chapman
The Lines Moved Fast and People were Curtious and Fun
Yvette Randall
Went just for the bodies exhibit but it was disappointing after having seen the full exhibit in new York York the rest of the museum was great. Lots of hands on exhibits the children can interact with. Kids had a great time. A bit expensive but still manageable.
Ryan Matte
I have been coming since my son was very young. With the water play area and the lego station, i feel like he can spend all day. Now that he is older, he has been able to appreciate some of the other exhibits as his attention span grows. Highly recommend for all ages
Andreea Tezak
This is a beautiful building with great exhibits (both permanent and traveling). My only complaint is it's pretty much just for kids. I won't be returning but I definitely recommend it for anyone with children.
Alejandro G
Amazing, but full of little toddlers running screaming and pushing every single thing around not minding the science of things...other than that, amazing
David Neubert
Watch out for the parking. Can take 30-45 minutes to get out of the museum garage at closing time. Otherwise museum is nice.
Shayna F
Went here in February, 2012. I was so excited to go here because I've been wanting to take my 2 year old there for a while but didn't want to pay $19 for myself unless it was phenomenal. Went here on a field trip with my preschool kids and was VERY disappointed. There isn't much for the 0-5 age group, it is more geared towards middle school aged kids. There were a few interesting things, the water tables were cool. The Dinosaur part was closed which did not go over well. If you DO end up going here buy the movie combo ticket we saw the 3D Meerkat movie which was the highlight of the day. The store was overpriced and the food was RIDICULOUSLY over priced. They do allow you to pack a lunch which I recommend, I payed $14 for a chicken salad wrap, chips, and drink. And the only hot items are a small hot dog and slice of pizza. The staff was friendly. Might be a hit with older kids but at $19 I will not be going again.
Joel Cox
Love this place... Daughter always has a good time. The butterfly encounter was great!
Douglas Girardot
A wonderful place for discovering scientific concepts with a gorgeous facility and great service; all in all, it's a fun place to bring family and friends to. The building that it's located in in Hartford is extremely modern and well-designed, and it is always kept nice and clean. All the staff there is very nice and helpful, and you can definitely notice a lot less stress than you might experience at a place with snappier people. The exhibits are also nice. My only concern with them is that they aren't quite as hands-on as some museums, but there's still quite a few that are. While the CT Science Center is definitely intended for children, it's by no means an inappropriate place for older kids and adults. I definitely recommend it!
Kathy Jennings
Great place for kids and adults. Every exhibit is interactive. It all adds up to a pricey day--parking, admission, and food. Next time I will leave food in a locker on the main floor and explore other options for parking.
Shannon Gonzalez
Great place to take the kids. The water play area is especially popular with my Preschoolers. It is on the first floor and gives an opportunity for their clothes to dry (even using the smocks that are there they somehow get wet).
maria murray
The young staffs are so unmotivated. They look like they're half asleep and disengaged. Those in the exhibit areas are keeping each other company rather than trying to engaged young children who can't figure out what to do. They need more supervision and training from the adult world in that place. They should have wipes and disinfectants available, handy around the exhibits to prevent spread of diseases.
The food vendors need to improve their food quality. My granddaughter wanted pizza. It was unbelievably so bad!! Prepared in a microwave? Soft and soggy!!
Joseph Daniels
This is a great sciences center. There is a lot for the kids to do and play with while learning about things. My family had a really fun time last time we came. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice family outing.
Nicole McManus
My 18 year old and I went to Connecticut Science Center today (August 31st 2019) to see the travelling Bodies exhibit. I enjoyed every minute of our visit. Its easy to find right off the highway and they have a reasonably prices garage underneath the building. I paid $13 for open to close parking. Anyway, we wanted to see Bodies last so we headed to the top floor and worked our way down. We were lucky with a beautiful warm sunny day. I imagine the rooftop garden isn't a draw in the dead of a New England winter. Beautiful views of the river and surrounding hills from the rooftop. A Subway and a Fro-Yo place for snacking down on the lobby level. Everything was priced reasonably - but you can't bring food into the exhibit so you have to finish your food before you go in.
The exhibits are geared towards kids but we found that they were interactive and not dumbed down so we both enjoyed being kids for the day and getting hands on with the exhibits. I'd say a lot of the material is lost on any kid under the age of four. The perfect age to absorb all the material but not get overwhelmed would be the 7 or 8+ crowd.
The Bodies exhibit is closing tomorrow so it wont be there. But for anyone seeing it elsewhere, it was profoundly cool. We tried to be respectful that these were real people so this was meant for reflection and education not 'Selfies with the Bodies'. Younger kids probably would be scared unless they're really mature. I did take photos but no posing with the bodies and all photos were respectful. The exhibit itself was very tasteful.
Plan to spend a day. You could rush through it but why would you? We got there an hour after they opened and left just before they closed. Took our time and saw everything. It was very quiet because school just started so there werent many kids there. I can see it being overwhelmingly loud and too crowded if there are school groups there or on a Saturday. We just lucked out with a really quiet, lovely day. Oh there is alao a butterfly exhibit and a 3D movie theater which is extra cost to the regular admission. We didnt see those two exhibits so I can't comment on that. But everything else is included in the regular admission.
Kimberly Buonomo
Membership is worth it. My kids love coming here. We just attended the Harry Potter event and it was so much fun. It pays for itself in just a few visits. You get admission to the zoo, Maritime Aquarium and Mystic Aquarium.
Keith York
Would give it more stars if I could. My child absolutely loves this place. Staff always friendly to us. We are looking to become members soon
Update: We have become members. This place is just so great to be apart of. Membership has some cool options. Parking 5 bucks and birthday parties discounts. Also can get discounts on special events
Tina
So many exhibits are unavailable and closed right now due to covid and some of it honestly doesn’t make sense. My kids had fun so that’s what matters, they really enjoyed the temporary dinosaur exhibit that was set up, and learning about the distribution of energy from different sources, and the small area with the reptiles during the last visit. But until covid is really over I won’t spend the money to renew our membership that just expired because it’s unfortunately not worth it at the moment. We lost out on several perks due to the covid shutdown (those perks include courtesy visits to Beardsley zoo, Norwalk aquarium and mystic aquarium select times of the year). They did extend memberships a few months past the expiration date to make up for the shutdown of the science center, but when several exhibits are still unavailable to the public, and the perks were never made up for, that kind of ruins the benefits of having a membership in my opinion. Also, it’s a little strange that the lower level allows the water play to be open with covid but kids can’t play with legos or the other games upstairs on level 4? Kinda odd that we are going to let kids all splash in the same water, touching all of the same water toys, but the legos and building games upstairs are off limits. The booking process online to “schedule” a time to come on the weekends was also daunting and there’s no special access for members. I’m disappointed in their handling of things for their members. Members really invest pretty decent money in the membership for the perks that come with it and those perks have almost all fallen short. I know some of it is out of their hands, covid sucks, but they could be doing better. I’ve always renewed our membership right away, so I’m disappointed that I feel bitter over it but there’s just no benefit to the membership right now. They fell short on this one. I recommend taking your money elsewhere for now. You’re going to hear yourself saying to your kids multiple times “sorry kiddos that’s closed too,” while at the science center right now. Maybe whenever covid decides to be over we will be back until then, not worth it.
Princess Kayla
Great indoor activity. Allow extra time to explore. Place was extremely busy with summer camp programs. Some of the staff was very friendly and helpful while other staff seemed annoyed and they didn't want to be there. Parking garage is under facility. Parking ranges from $7 to $19
Mike Makoski
Good overall, very expensive for what you get depending on age. Bringing a family of four and two grand parents cost a lot to get in.
Once you're in there are multiple levels of the museum. Everything is interactive and geared towards younger Minds. My kids both 2 and 4 found things to engage and learn from.
it was also able to keep the adults engaged as well learning new things or being interactive with the children throughout the entire Museum.
we did not go to the butterfly museum is that was another additional cost, but we're able to look in the window and see them, from what we saw it was beautiful but I'm not sure if it was large enough to Warrant an extra expense.
this is a place where you have to go to more than once to fully taken everything and that's where it might be better just to become a member of the museum rather than pay to visit a couple of separate times.
We will go again and enjoy it as it is a great resource in our backyard.
Peter Hollenbeck
Awesome place. We have been coming here for years. Always plenty to do, exhibits are kept updated and interesting. The parking is ample ( they charge for parking ) but otherwise a fantastic experience!
Ryan Morahan
Some exhibits not working. Need workers to control children from running and abusing the exhibits since parents dont parent. The facility and staff are wonderful. The Superheroes Dog and Apollo 11 movies were a must see.
PRO TIP get there early before the crowd and prioritize before the kids arrive.
Christopher Sanchez
This is a great place to bring your kids. The exhibits are very nice and interactive, allowing for the kids to be hands on with the experiments and challenge them. The tickets are a bit expensive but there are multiple floors of exhibits dealing from physics, to biology, to geology and meteorology.
paul byrne
Greta to go with kids.
We have gone here on some rainy days to get them out of house.
There are a lot of interactive displays.
My boys love it.
It's right off the main highway and plenty of restaurants in area for a lunch or a dinner.
Elizabeth Tongue
This is a good place for children who can read. There's a lot of reading involved for a full experience. It you have younger children they will need adult help to have a full experience. There is a water play area inside for K- 2 nd grade children. Bring a change of clothes because even though the have smocks, the children still get soaked. Young children LOVE this area. Our group had 4 adults ranging from 31-74 and children aged 5, 7, 10, and 12. Everyone enjoyed themselves. The entrance fee was very pricy, nearly $20 for children, and over $20 for seniors and other adults.
Arthanari C
Great place for fun and science. We cannot cover this in one day. Has 6 floors of eye candy for all the geeks and kids out there. Has a laser harp which is fun. A parachute which kids can drive. Lots of button based life size toys. Has a roof top garden with a cute dino which makes for a good photo opportunity. Has a gift shop with all the geek stuff and stuffed toys.
dave martinez
Great place to bring the kids. It's big enough where they get to run around and see lots of cool things and at the same time you can keep track of them. They keep bringing new things to each level and that always makes it great to come back.
Laura Holland
Very nice science center and museum. I appreciate that they have exhibits that will engage nearly any age group, making it a great destination for families with kids of varying ages, and adults too. The size is great too - bigger than your local nature center, but not as massive (or expensive) as the science museum in Boston (which I also love, but the CT science center is much closer and less of an epic undertaking for me and my two young kids). Parking is convenient and since it's an attached garage, good for when the weather is bad. On nice days, the rooftop garden is really nice - I'd recommend bringing a picnic lunch and eating it outside on the riverfront walkway area.
__
Great place, so many exhibits. There are so many that it's almost impossible to see all of them in one visit. My favorite thing was the mind game where two people sit down and put on special headbands and they have a table in front of them and there is a ball on the table in a glass tube and whoever is more calm the ball goes away from his side whoever gets the ball to go to the other person's side first wins. I played my mom and I won her, (she won me the first time but whatever😁) definitely recommend this for a family trip.
Roman Goldin
Lovely place. Tons of fun to do with kids at any age, at some point my kids had to drag me out. Has everything you need on site (underground parking, gift shop, decent cafeteria). Bit pricey but you get what you're paying for.
Scott Harris
Parking and layout is terrible. Exhibits are the same as when it first opened. I'm a member. I've been there once this year and don't plan on going back. I have two kids (4 and 6) who love to learn, whom were bored to tears.
Lobito Urbana
My son loved this place. It is a great and affordable place to keep the kids busy any time of the year. I highly recommend it. Whether your kids like electronic or nature, I promise you there's something there for them.
Bhagya D
Visited here after covid 19 re-opening. The museum's exhibits are very fascinating. There are activities for kids and parents to be at. It takes around 2 hours to complete the science center tour.. The butterfly kingdom was closed due to covid 19 restrictions. They have parking facility on timely basis.
Tara Connelly
Fun, interactive place. One of the highlights of Hartford.
LaLena Lindsey
The exhibits that are open currently are rather cool. It's not as big as we originally thought it would be but it was worth it. The kids learned a lot and we learned a few new things as well. The staff were nice and were constantly cleaning. They had cleaning wipes everywhere for guests to clean and go. Masks must be work so be sure to bring yours. The gift shop and froyo place along with several exhibits are temporarily closed due to COVID and cleaning abilities. You will have to have your temperature taken to enter as well.
Jimmy Canepa
I go here frequently with my son. Great theater and exhibits. Membership is well worth the purchase. Being right downtown, there is access to nearby restaurants as well. A must for folks with kids.
Tracy Calloway
This place is amazing! Lots to do for all ages and the most beautiful backdrop of Hartford I've ever seen. Make sure you go up to the top floor to take pictures. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.the entrance fee was kind of steep so you might want to go early so you get your money's worth. We arrived about an hour prior to closing and still had to pay full price. Didn't realize they closed as early as they do.
Nick
Very fun day with the kids. Lots of excitement and learning prices are a little steep and they charge extra for little things that should come in the initial price. The butterfly room is extra 6 bucks the movie extra 5 bucks the store is very pricey and kinda way over priced but if you can find a coupon its better (obviously) but for a nice day out it's a great time. Woulda got 5 stars if the prices were included for the other things through out the day.
James Christy “Christy” Wareham
I brought my grandchildren (boy 8, girl 11) to this wonderfully engaging, enlightening, inspiring, and totally fun science and tech center. They wanted to try everything and both really enjoyed filming themselves in the amazing studio where they were the weather reporter of the moment. Me, I like the rooftop garden. :-) Anyone, any age can have a great time here.
Robert Wellenberger
As always an amazing time with my grandson. Sadly covid restricted most of the hands on exhibits he loves most, but for free cannot beat the time spent here.
the Letskys
This is the first time me and my family had gone to this science center. We were there with other families from Waterbury Connecticut. We had an awesome time on a very rainy Sunday afternoon. Highly recommend 3D super Dogs movie. We had an awesome time at your science center
Jack Ng
A little pricey for what you get but you should check for discounts that may be available from Groupon and such. It was a mad house on the rainy Saturday that we went but some of the exhibits we're pretty nice. A bunch of volunteer from Sirkosky were there that day teaching and showing kids about airfoils and lift. A good bunch of people from our military industrial complex trying to give back to the community.
VICKTORIA KONDRACKI
Amazing exhibits with a happy atmosphere!!
Daniel Becce
Staff supremely helpful. Family bathrooms on every floor. Outdoor spaces well thought out, including street level access to gorgeous elevated walkway stretching across the city through parks, gardens, majestic civic architecture.
Will
Great clean place with plenty of things to do. HOWEVER, 100 for a family of 4 is a bit crazy espically when most of the stuff is for the kids, which is understandable. So basically as a parent expect to pay 50 for one parent to watch their child run around and play with things. So an adult ticket, being more expensive, pays for what exactly?
F Khan
Huge facility but not worth the price. $25 for a person for what???? Most of the exhibits are very basic and are for grown ups. And on top of that they are sponsored by big companies. So why are we paying. Waste of time for toddlers and young kids.
Eston Melton
Great resource for curious kids. I appreciate that so much of the content is hands-on. The mechanical items and technology pieces were all in working order, which is surely no small feat. There's content that caters to a wide variety of learners and great explanations for some of the more complicated exhibits.
shay Hardy
If you own an EBT card u can pay $20 for a year long membership that includes 4 people, 5 dollar parking, discounts on parties and gift shop. I take my 2yo son and nephew here. We enjoy it. Get the membership!!!!
Monique Teal
Very interesting! Went to see the bodies exhibit and the butterfly exhibit. Tomorrow is the last day for the bodies exhibit. There were real bodies and it was definitely emotionally charged seeing all the different parts of the body young and old alike. Designed to make you think about your own morality it really touched my soul and will stay with me. The butterfly exhibit wasn't worth the extra money it was very small and not that many butterflies were there. Guess I'm used to magic wings of South Deerfield which is real museum just dedicated to butterflies. Otherwise would've given 5 stars.
Fred Colby
Awesome place to go! Tons of cool stuff for the kids to do. I recommend getting the annual pass we have it and you could go on living at times even for all the special events. Highly recommend for family with kids.
richardequeen
The premier museum in CT. They have it all. Let your children play, touch, listen and explore. Parents be ready this is your big chance to teach your kids about some of the everyday things they experience in life. Don't be afraid to ask for assistance with anything you encounter. Most of the staff here is up to the task and happily ready to answer questions. So go and have some fun there's plenty to do.
Josh Caruso
I chaperoned my daughter's field trip here, so awesome!
Roxy Cruz
So Many things to do love this place!!
PC Remlin
Great, not too many people so they allowed my 30 year old autistic son to play in the water area.
Krysia Tabachenko
Fun and hands on. Pricey, you’re better off getting season passes if you’d like to go more than once a year. The new butterfly exhibit is beautiful albeit much smaller than I thought.
Frank Tedesco
Great place for kids of all ages. Grandparents just beam! Lots of things to do and learn
Like many of its ilk, far too much reading at each station. Why is that? Great 3D theater
Too many up charges.
Chris
Good day trip, kids enjoyed the interactive exhibits. Not the largest science center, so you can quickly run through all the exhibits, but still fun and you can learn alot if you take your time.
Debby Romero
I love this place, it has a lot of activities to do with or with out the kids lol it is beautiful the scenery is amazing I will definitely go again with my grandbaby he had a ball with the water and balls I had a ball with the music activities that was awesome, love it love it love it will get the annual pass
Graham Kolar
There were far to many of the interactive exhibits in non working condition to rate any higher than 3 stars. Too often my children sat down to experience a certain exhibit and found it broken. This really kills the enthusiasm for the kids. As the parent it's also tough to swallow the idea that 100 million dollars in tax payer money (source Wikipedia) went into a building that I now have to spend 80 dollars to enter. They need to keep up each exhibit and make it a world class experience. The potential is there but it's underutilized. I'd like to see the revenue reinvested in improvements across the facility.
ML Sanderson
Just terrific, big, science center covering all sorts of areas in really interesting ways. Nearly entirely hands on. And a couple films . Would take several visits to cover it all without burnout. Truly recommend it for adults with small children up to about 12/15.
Michael Basile
The facility is modern and clean. A parking garage is attached to the museum which is very convenient, but not included in admission costs. There is also food and snacks on the main floor. The exhibits look more like a trade fair for renewable energy and construction materials. Their are lots of buttons and levers along with education material that is geared to the adults. Only 3 out of the six levels have exhibits. One exhibit is dedicated entirely to rocks, it's kinda ridiculous how much space is dedicated to that subject. Their is only 1 dinosaur animated statue and a very small marine exhibit. The rest is STEM subject matter. There isn't enough staff to usher people along to allow others a chance to view/exhibits. Do yourself a favor and go early on a weekday and call in advance to see what exhibits are closed.

This is a great place to visit with children. It is clearly designed with a lot of thought. However it would greatly benefit from better planing during big events in order to avoid long waiting times. Also it would be good if they could offer healthy food and drink vendors.
Joshua Flewelling
My kids love it. Not so much fun for kids under 8 though as most exhibits are for slightly older children. No complaints though (other than I wish parking was free).
paul lefebvre
What a fun place! I brought my sister and her two little girls (6 & 7) and we had a blast. The butterfly garden is a really cool exhibit.
Jaki S
Grandson and I went to see the Bodies Revealed exhibit. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. He's 11 and the Science Center is just such a great place to explore and experience. There's something for all ages to enjoy!
Alison Mason
This place! Wow. My daughter and I visited and stayed for about five hours, which was not enough time to see and interact with all of the exhibits. The museum includes six floors of awesome science! From the human body and how it functions to an archeological dig, exhibits about forensic science, Rube Goldberg machines and tunnels that simulate hurricanes, this place is amazing. We watched a really informative movie about climate change, visited an exhibit about home energy conservation and took an exciting trip into the world of nebulas and black holes. We used a simulated Mars Rover, found our house on a giant Google Map and drove an "ambulance." This science center is hands down the best we've ever visited (and we've been to quite a few) and we are looking forward to getting a membership.
Toni Carson
Amazing... as always! Four hours was not long enough to take part in all of the activities planned for the special event day!
Belle's storytelling was engaging.
The kids enjoyed your petting zoo with alpacas, goats, and sheep. The bounce house, bouncy horses, carnival aim game, and Dunkin Coolattas and Cosmic Candy donuts were hits. The butterfly exhibit was magical, and each kiddo left with a group picture and decorated and prepped flower pot to commemorate our lovely day. Thank you, CT Science Center and sponsors, for making our day so memorable.
Special prayers for the Petit family. 🙏
V S (Kulakowski)
It was fun, but it's catered mostly to kids. I enjoyed the human body exhibit with REAL BODIES, although the rest of my party preferred not to go into it. There's a balance of physical science and Earth science.
Dayanara Socrates
This is a great place to bring your children. It has a lot of exciting things to do, and see your kids will never be bored....come visit and take a look for yourself. You will be amazed!
Bryan Kelly
The CT Science Center is excellent on many levels...Six exactly. The different exhibits they offer are for a wide variety of ages and they switch things out frequently enough that you never feel like it's an old hat. We were gifted a membership and it's one of the greatest gifts we could have ever received. Certainly one of Hartford's shining stars.
Jesse Fenn
My daughter & I have been here twice & she's enjoyed it each time. Last time we went there seemed to be a lot of broken/malfunctioning exhibits & an entire floor was shut down for something. If everything worked as intended I'd give it 5 stars.
Matt Jacobsen
Nice place, can get busy when schools or boy scouts or large young kid groups come through, but still enjoyable as an adult as well. I recommend the real bodies exhibit, it ends in june!
Dani Simone Singerman
You seriously need a membership to truly enjoy your experience at Connecticut Science Center. I go at least 2 weekends a month with my 4 year old and 11 year old girls and we always have fun. It’s a great pace to get out of the summer heat or go to when it’s cold and boring. Highly recommend the amazing staff at the froyo shop, sweet, kind and helpful.
Brian Sanderson
Got in free with our Mystic Aquarium membership. Great time with the kiddo!
Roger Croft
So many fun interactive things on each floor which offers endless fun for kids. We found it best to save the water play place on the ground floor for last. This place was so much fun I enjoyed it as much as my kids.
Rayleen Tritt
We had kids of all different ages and all three loved everything. There was stuff for kids of all ages at each level, and there was even a lot of fun for us adults. It was a great family day.
Cinthia Zuniga
Absolutely awesome place. Took my daughter there for here third birthday and she had the time of her life. Never seen her happier. My husband and I managed to have fun as well. It was a beautiful day and the staff was very polite and helpful highly recomend this place. Well worth the price.
Chiung-Chun Chen
It's a awesome place. My kids love it. We have been to science/history/children's museums in Los Angeles, Houston, Boston, Dallas/Fort Worth, Albany area, and Hartford area. Connecticut science center is the best of all.
Sarah Figueroa
This place was well staffed and they were all extremely helpful. There's too much to see here in one visit though! Education that everyone can have fun learning with so much hands on fun! The ONLY bad thing was the subway there. Terrible service they were out of almost everything the whole 5 hours we were there and the tables were not clean.
C Bas
Nice place to visit. My kids seemed to enjoy it. A number of displays and areas had broken or incomplete activities. It is not the cheapest activity you can find but we used a groupon. Parking is convenient but not free.
Laydee Wilder
So much fun for my 8 year old girl. My mom and daughter had a great time. Wheelchair accessible. The food option could be better, but we loved the center and will be back.
KDC In USA
CTSummer!Nice place to go this summer with your kids. But when you want to eat lunch, there's no choice but Subway and we fall in line for about 45mins. to get our lunch.
Matt Catania
Fun place for the kids. Lots of cool exhibits. The cost of admission is very reasonable. Went through the whole museum in around 3 hours. Definitely will be back
Wayne Schulz
This is a great place to take kids. Multiple floors with exhibits that are constantly changing. There is a Subway on the ground floor that also has outside seating. This is also walking distance to State House square and several other restaurants. You can also reach this by parking in East Hartford and walking the Founders Bridge.
Laurel Rigoulot
Small, super expensive at $66 for two adults. Aimed at elementary school kids, everything is super simplified. Butterfly exhibit cost $6 extra per person, and there were hardly any butterflies in a super small room. Overall? Meh. Froyoworld was decent.
Shiloh Mahmood
Such a fun place for all ages! There is a ton to see, so plan on spending hours here. The CT Science Center makes learning and science fun! I suggest going to the water play area on the bottom floor last- even with the smocks, it is hard to not get soaked.
Bob Gallagher
Amazing interactive, educational, fun for all ages displays and activities make TCSC a must visit attraction. Prices are a bit steep and management should look into discounts for large families and folks with less disposable income. Nevertheless, this Science Center is simply superb!
Daniel Morrison
I loved the (2nd?) Floor's section on frequency! Really cool physical demonstrations of resonance and waveforms.
Generally impressed with the whole thing!
They have a teacher's discount if you show your ID.
There isn't much free parking in the area, but there is an attached garage that is reasonably priced.
Andrzej “Walt” Lipski
Always a fun place to go. I go with my daughter and she is a teenager now and still loves it. The gift shop has a lot of stuff even moon cheese and flavored crickets.
Nana K
Great addition to the Hartford Riverfront. Exhibits change regularly so there is always something new to see and do. All events are well organized and worth the admission fee (purchasing tickets online is strongly recommended because the lines can get long - the only downside is the processing fee). Adult-only parties are also fun; however, there should be a better deal on beverages. Vacation and summer camps are on the higher end of the pricing spectrum, but you do get what you pay for - interactive, STEM-focused. I wish the yearly membership options were cheaper.
Eric Lee
CSC is a great place to take my 3 kids as there is always things for kids off all ages. Lots on interactive things and 3d movie theater. Wishing the dining options were better (only a Subway on site) but that is only gripe.
Jeff Dill
Love the Science Center. Great exhibits for very young and young kids. Main exhibits stay the same but they bring in touring exhibits a few times a year. Easy to get a good value from a yearly membership with 3 visits per year.
Maurizio Girotto
Our family loves the science center! We have an annual pass and visit several times throughout the year. There are so many things to see and do for all ages and the fact that they bring in new exhibits keeps it worth revisiting.
Our kids love all the hands-on displays and the mini workshops - one day we built and learned about paper airplanes, another day we learned how to program Ozobots.
The benefit of having the pass makes it easy to really explore different things at each visit and there always seems to be something we haven't seen or done before!
Looking forward to our next trip!
Keith pang
Great family afternoon away being a spare shirt for your kids to play in the water and visit the butterfly encounter we saw a burly come out of its chrysalis very cool and parking is so much more convenient than other museums.
Yaritza Soto
My children loves it!!
Ted G
Great place to bring the kids to give them lots to do. Honestly I expected more but was not totally disappointed either. There are plenty of exhibits displaying some important principles of science and engineering but if your children have questions the explanations on the displays are a bit lacking. There are plenty of things to do and keep the entire family occupied and engaged so you won't get bored. I was here over Christmas break and there were lots of families that were here just to get out of the house so it was a lot crazy with long lines for food, screaming kids, and a little bad behavior tossed in. Except for people touching things where there were signs clearly posted to not touch things the people weren't that bad. On site food includes Subway, and Frozen yogurt both by the gift shop. The gift shop appeared to have a wide range of educational and fun items along with a few Hartford items.
My only real gripe with this place is the parking, you have to pay when you exit and it is in a ramp garage. There are a lot of things that could be done to streamline the process, pay for parking with museum admission, pay via EZPass (they have the equipment for this), really anything but having people collecting cash and making change would be a lot faster than het they are doing.
Drew Strycharz
The science center was very cool and filled with fun activities helping people of all ages learn about science. They also have amenities like frozen yogurt and subway. There are 6 floors of learning which all look down onto the main lobby. But I must give it 4 stars compared to the Boston science museum.
Christopher Ragali
Love love love!!! Always have fun when we go, they have exhibits for all ages. My daughter is almost 2 and there is stuff for her, and I’m never bored either!
Caitlin Ryan
Very over crowded on my son's 4th grade field trip. Difficult for kids to experience the actual exibits with 12 other schools there at the same time. Quality and quantity are out of balance!
Kay Munoz
My nephew was all over the place! He absolutely loved it we went over the weekend and it wasnt that busy so he was able to get the effect! Def would come back with him! I will say they have a parking garage idk if you have to pay.
sandra b.
Hello buddy I go here quite often and he loves it I do wish they changed their exhibits more for the Hands-On stuff for the kids but he enjoys it and his current favorite thing is building things out of the giant foam blocks and the tubes and tunnels with the ball thing racing the car is on the track
CRISTO LISTO
Good spot. I felt smarter when i walked out the center. The layout was amazeballs!
Great views of the river and buildings. State of the art science stuff. I would've gave 5 stars if they had a small aquarium. I suggest Grouponing it. Save some $$$$ yerrrd!
Dennis Moura
Awesome time. Large water play area for little kids. Might want to pack an extra set of clothes if they will be doing that. There are aprons for the kids, but they aways seem to find a way to get wet.
Kelli Tanguay
This place is amazing. Even the toddler had a great time. Loved all the attractions, especially digging for dinosaurs bones and the ambulance plat area.
Jackie Corricelli
Something there for all ages, exhibits are always changing. One wish - wish nao robot (or another robot, whatever) would be programmable - not just mechanical. If one was, I missed it. I love that this place is all about getting people excited about science! Also great birthday parties!
Tricia Rampersaud
This is one of those places that you need to visit more than once to truly be able to see every exhibit on display, it was definitely a learning experience. There was a lot to see and experience.
Amber Richards
Bodies exhibit was beautifully done. The kids love going here, I highly recommend their annual pass! With the annual pass parking is only $5 in the garage!
Rob Karvelis
The place definately seems geared towards younger children. So I would agree with other posts that this museum is quite lacking. The total waste of space is very noticeable especially when you travel the elevator and get the birds eye view. Many exhibits don't function as they should and with the admission prices they charge you would think there would be better upkeep. The new mind bender exhibit is a plus and found it to be one of the very few. It's worth a trip on a discount day of sorts, but until management gets a clue; just drive to Boston's science center.... much better.
Karla Rolon
Amazing place for all ages. A must see.
Osmond Hanchard
It was interesting and fun, my only negative thing was once you pay to get in if you wanted to see other sites it cost more money. However if you make it a trip frequently then get the membership it is worth the mula.
Chandler Mount
Tons of exhibits from outer space to the human body. Great fun for an hour or a full day. If you're local i suggest getting a year long pass. Cheaper parking plusit pays for itself on the 2nd visit. No brainer.
The staff is great with kids, particularly for birthday parties. Lots to like here.
Nicole Davis
Everything was good except the 3D movie about the dinosaurs in Antarctica. Not enough 3D action and not for young kids.
Meredith P
This is an outstanding museum - for kids. While some science museums are designed for all ages, Connecticut's is not. If you're not an elementary school age kid, and if you're not an adult accompanying an elementary school age kid, you're going to have a hard time getting into it. Exhibitions are virtually all experiential, and positioned at an elementary schooler's eyeline. The gift shop is just about the only thing I can think of that adults will enjoy, assuming they aren't being pestered to buy things.
Robert Van Nostrand
Went for the harry potter event.
Had a good time. I wish there were more harry potter oriented activities but the mix with the different science exhibits was great for my daughter.
Zelda Covington
Huge fan of butterflies.. was an absolute treat to end my visit with nature! Gift shop is amazing. It's a nice comfortable flow with amazing displays!
Michael J Nass (Nass)
Glad to see CT Science Center open again! First day open, it was almost empty in the afternoon. We had most sections we went in to ourselves and only saw a handful of other families during our visit.
Jason MacEmcy
Very very very fun place for kids. Price is good but bring your own snacks/lunch as options there are pretty limited and the lines can be long.
Jake Cobovic
One of the better museums, but like the Montreal Science Center, it wastes a lot of space. The Extreme Dinosaurs exhibit (Traveling for 2015) is great. There are other exhibits which are also good fun. In the ecosystem exhibit you can create your own weather broadcast and send it to your self (our storm warning one erupted in to a tornado dance party) via email. It's a great museum though and if your thinking of going, go. It's worth it!
Rachael Coccia
Go for the after hour events!! Liquid lounge and Straight up science are great values. Explore the entire museum with no kids and enjoy reasonably priced drinks and hands on activities.
Gail Bailey
The exhibits touch on a wide range of scientific fields and worked to engage at all learning levels and types. In addition, the art, large sculptures of aeronautical vehicles, was beautiful and educational. Even the gift shop worked to engage the visitors with lots of product that tied to the exhibits.
Elizabeth Arce
Both kids had a great time! It's a bit hard to focus on just one thing when your kids are 9 years apart in age but not once did they complain about being bored.
Star Henderson
This should be advertised as a children’s museum because that is *certainly* what is it - and that’s fine! It just should be honest about that. Very hands-on with lots of displays. If you don’t have any children it’s not worth your visit, but if you do it’s great.
brindha dinesh
Best for family to spend great time... Best for kids and students to improve their knowledge with playing... We can get free admission around August using library pass... Inside they have subway and frozen yogurt shops, also outside food allow to ear near lift and outdoor... Nice outside kids train experience... Great theater for kids movies and documentary...
Kyle J
Great for a day with the kids. If you plan to love in the area with school after kids would definitely recommend a membership. They also have reciprocal deals with other kids attractions.
Peter Faust
Butterfly exhibit wasnt worth the money. Being with 4 yr old granddaughter there was no order or politeness with the camp kids running amok. She couldnt get into interactive exhibits with waiting her turn others would just jump in with no regard to others
Lauren Whitney
Great place for the entire family. We didn't even get through the whole thing. Can't wait to go back. Most of the time was in the water exhibit.
Vicmary Ruiz
Amazing!! Good for whole family
Justin Krzynowek
Great place to spend the morning or afternoon at. exibits often change which is awsome. my daughter loves going to the science center every other weekend if not every weekend. my favorite is the space exploration exibit and my daughter loves the water exibit on the first floor. Joe the security gaurd is extremely helpful and friendly, its so nice to walk in and be welcomed with a big smile from Joe. Butterfly exibit is also very cool, sure its not magic wings but magic wings isnt the science center lol. The science center is the best place to come to hartford in a very long time!
lordofcinder 11
The 5th floor i think it was had the best games and there was a little butterfly pin that you could go in and see the butterflies fly around and it was really nice yogurt was good there gift shop was alright little astronaut yarn doll was really cool wish i got it and the movie was alright
Rand Parent
Family always enjoys a visit here. Lots of hands on activities to make learning about science fun. Special exhibit is changed regularly and adds varying levels of interest.
daisy c
Great learning environment for all ages. The butterfly atrium was amazing! Roof top gardens, hands on science, The Bodies exhibit was an eye-opener !
Rahul Mahajan
Good place. Nice building. 5th floor is best. Hardware needs serious refresh. Low resolution TVs. Old school media content. Slow touch panels. Good for small kids <10 years.
Dawn Denike Hirsch
Great place for kids to learn, explore and have fun!
Phillip Mangiaracina
Great for your kids, great events for just you. It's mostly the same except for a rotating exhibit or two but worth a few trips through
Christopher Titus
I love this place it's fun for all ages!!! If you want to escape reality the science center is the place to do it. As soon as you walk in the door you will be in aw. The best part is, its reasonably priced.
Matthew Vining
Great time, great activity, reasonably priced.
Courtney Dyer
My family and I went to mess fest and had a blast! They had multiple fun activities and lots of fun take home projects. They were so smart and had a mist tent as well!
Steven Taffet
It's a fun place for the whole family. The majority of the exhibits are aimed at middle schoolers level of comprehension. Plenty of interesting things for adults to interact with as well.
Linda Edelwich
Have small kids and a lot of time on your hands? Go the Science Center - it is a sure fire hit every time - kids of various ages have lots to DO AND SEE. This is a must stop for all my relocation clients moving to CT while on their house hunting trips - 2 thumbs up!
Michael Liseo
Connecticut Science Center is a great place for kids! Adults will have fun too! A lot to see and a lot to learn as well. My favorite exhibit was the space section!
Kim Sampietro
Lots of fun for kids of all ages but probably more to do for kid 5 and over.
Lawrence Boccuzzio
Kids love the place, we recently went to a friends son's brlitlrthday party... The sensory exhibit and water room was awesome. Highly recommend
David B
They really need to up their game. This place is fine if you have little kids or go once a year, but that's not where they need to be. Going there is like watching an okay movie you've seen many times. Meh.
Vincent Fattorini
This is a really fun cool place. It is geared mostly toward children and I find the exhibits do not change often. That being said it is a really fun thing to do in Hartford.
Lauren C
Great dinosaur exhibit! The museum itself might be more for elementary aged children, rather than preschool age kids.
Zachery Anderson
This is an excellent place to take your little ones and any person interested in the world of science. Particularly the splash zone is a fun exhibit to end your trip.
Aaron Weintraub
We love being so close to such an amazing resource. It can be a little expensive without a membership, but you only have to go a few times to make the membership pay for itself. I can't say enough about the well kept and inspiring exhibits.
Matt Thomas
All in all, it is a good place to take the kids. For being a bit pricey, I was a bit disappointed by the number of exhibits that were down for maintenance or just not working correctly due to obvious lack of maintenance. I'm not sure how soon we'll return.
LNH
The best time EVER!!! So much to see. The mummy exhibit was by far the greatest ❤
Regina Lynch
Attended for scout day. Great activities, wonderful human body exhibit. Great for all ages. Bring extra clothes if doing the water section.
Victoria h.
Wasnt the worst experience, but it was very boring for a 4 year old boy, especially because alot of the activities mostly incorporate reading, but it would defined be nice for a 7 or 8 year old.
Earl Van Rumund
Save your money. A good amount of things to do were out of service and it's more empty space than things to do. Also we weren't informed about the theater being closed. Overall disappointing.
kim hidalgo
Love taking my grandkids here... they enjoy it year after year... sadly to say how disappointing they are because not be able to go weekends and school break due to Covid-19, but I'm wondering if Ct Science Center going to extend or credit those of Us whom have Membership Passes. Thank you much.
Michael Tatro-Couture
Very fun. A lot of exhibits aren't active because of covid. Price still the same even tho 33% of the exhibits were available
J Morgan
Lines were really long for drinks, some (quite a few) of the exhibits were broken. But the music was nice and loud, up to date and the overall atmosphere was fun!
Daniel Hedberg
Super cool hands-on experience for children of all ages! Their travel exhibits tend to be more than stellar and always professionally presented!
