Reviews of Gilmore Car Museum
Blanca
We loved the museum! The staff was so nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. The museum's display of cars is both beautiful and extensive. The buildings and barns that hold the cars are beautiful and well maintained. Our 8 yr old enjoyed the interactive activities located throughout the museum. We've visited a few auto museums, and the Gilmore is definitely one of our favorites.
Andrea Irby
This place is a bit of heaven on earth. I have been 4 or 5 times and it is always wonderful. People are friendly, the exhibits are amazing and the cars are happy...you can tell, because they are well cared for.
Wednesday night cruise-ins draw hundreds of local cars. Everyone is having so much fun that cell phones are forgotten. People are taken to a place and time were they can learn and reconnect with history and each other.. Go any chance you get!
Angela Brown
Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners is one of the BEST vintage and collector car museums we have ever visited. This museum contains over 400 vintage and collector cars and is spread out over a large area somewhat like 90 acres so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk. The museum was not crowded and you can get up close and personal to these vehicles. This is truly a hidden gem of Michigan and even if you do not like cars, it is a fun place to visit.
JC Olson
Very nice museum with a wide range of vehicles. The property is huge and the events they have all year mean you can see new things each time you go. The price is not bad. Bathrooms are nice and staff are knowledgable and friendly. $16 for adult, $11 for 11-17 and 10 and under free. Free wheel chairs and some electric scooters available.
Keith Gillette
If you love old Cars this is the place! This Museum has a great layout for displays. Several buildings featuring different brands. Consider visiting with your car buffs. Make sure to visit the dinner for great fresh baked pie alamode. Consider a buying a membership for multi year visits.
Kathy Smith
So many fabulous automobiles in a great setting wandering on our own at our own pace. Then joined a wonderful tour of a couple of other buildings only given on Tuesdays. Thanks Steve P. Can't wait to return in the spring when the remaining buildings reopen!
John L
Fantastic museum for car lovers. A little bit out of the way but it's worth the drive. Museum is in multiple buildings so dress appropriately. Touring the buildings takes at least 3 hours - much longer for car lovers. Must see museum!
Rich Miholick
This is by far one of the finest car museums in the country. They have multiple buildings to highlight and have examples of many different kinds of vehicles. And they are in the process of building a muscle car museum of the finest sort. This a MUST visit if you are a car enthusiasts or just love the history of the developments of the automobile. They also have the finest car shows in West Michigan.
Andrew R
Such an amazing museum! The entire facility is well taken care of and has amazing accessibility for those those in need. I look forward to visiting the Gilmore Car Museum every year! Never gets old. A++++

If you can plan your trip here well in advance, you can try to access special features they offer. Be sure to visit the website to see the full list of options on certain days and times. I took my father here and participated in the Model T driving school. The experience was fantastic and well worth it. We're going to have to go back again because we didn't actually see all of the exhibits due to the couple hours the driving experience took.
The museum and the exhibits are impeccably well maintained. The outdoor paths are smooth and well cared for as well. The 1940's diner was beautiful and a nice touch added to the property.
The staff was beyond helpful and knowledgeable. It was easy to see that even the volunteers there REALLY enjoy being a part of the Gilmore experience which makes the visit even more pleasant.
One small touch I appreciated was that in each building/section there were at least a couple places that my dad could sit down and rest for as long as he needed and most of the time the spot would have a spectacular view of whichever collection you were currently viewing...so it was like he was still actively a part of the visit during those resting times.
I highly recommend the Gilmore Car Museum.

This is a fantastic museum. Much larger than I imagined and filled with all sorts of cars. From old Model A’s to corvettes and cadillacs, this museum has everything. There are a few places for Children to interact with model cars (build a car, race some legos, etc.) so I found it to be fairly family friendly. The diner out back is really cool and the food was on par for the experience. We only stopped for a couple of hours but will definitely be back, because you’ll need a whole day, or maybe even two in order to fully experience everything.
Peggy Sjostrom
There is an amazing amount of beautifully displayed cars and occasionally other vehicles. The grounds are well kept and all vehicles are on display in theme-based barns. Ample parking. There's a little historic diner on the grounds for snacks are sandwiches.
Larry Reeg
I've been reading about Gilmore and the Model A Ford museum for a long time. I finally got to go and I was not disappointed. Had a great Brass car show going on which was a bonus. Well laid out and the guides were very helpful. Would go back again.
Angel Green
What an amazing gem of a place!! We came for the Mad Dogs and Englishmen car show, and spent most of the show walking through the barns. Talk about some stellar vehicles!! Highly recommended, and we will be getting memberships to help support the museum. My partner also took home a 3rd place award for his 1991 Jaguar XJS Classic, which absolutely made his year.
Leona Heinrich
As a museum member and a regular every year for 8 years now we were truly disappointed in their trunk or treat this year. While it was awesome that they made it free for everyone this year it made it not worth going. We got there shortly after 6, so it had only being going an hour, we had to wait forever in line to get barely any candy. Most cars were out of candy or already gone and the inside buildings weren't part of it this year, which is what my husband goes for. If it happens this way again next year we will not be going.
Megan Brown
Really enjoyed strolling through this museum. Every employee we encountered was very nice. It was busy, but people kept their distance and were respectful. Everything was clean and the restrooms were very clean. There was an outdoor market going on while we were there, but we did not stop. We also didn't eat there, but the food smelled delicious. The grounds are very well cared for. Overall, wonderful place to visit.
Glenn Murray
If you are a car enthusiast The Gilmore Car Museum is a must see, it is one of the best car museums I would hazard to say anywhere. Highlights for me were Model A Garage, The Tucker & The Muscle Cars. The displays are some of the best I have seen also and if you are in the area it is a must see. There is a old school 1940's diner also for drinks, coffee and sandwiches etc.
Michael Kendle
Great place to go if you are a car enthusiast. A lot if old cars, including ones owned by famous people. They also let you ride in a couple of them! Definitely check this place out!!
Brad Doerr
This is an amazing museum complex with lots of great historic buildings filled with great cars. I was there during a Cadillac and LaSalle club event and they have lots of other great car shows on the grounds.
Drew Y
This is truly the best car museum in the USA. Visit the 1 million dollar or more cars, take a classic car ride in a contidental,a old model A, and more cars!, grab a bite to eat at the 1941 diner, go visit some old dealerships, a old shell station and more! I would recommend this to my friends and family.
Miki Slawinski
Even if you aren't a big car nut, this is a fun place to visit. Lots of cars so no matter your preference, there should be at least a few you will know and maybe even have fond memories of. And right now with the Christmas decorations and light show, even more to please even the most Grinchiest.
Tanner Little
Fantastic collection. If you are interested in cars from 1900-30's you will not get a better experience anywhere. Museum's collection is Amerocentric, don't expect to see many European or JDM examples
Cindy Patrick
What a great place. So many cars to see. Such a clean and well put together facility. I have to comment on the very clean awesome bathrooms as well. We will be back for sure! Here are some of our favorites!
Michael
So many great cars with beautiful grounds and exhibits with ample volunteers to guide you along. We'll worth the trip!
Greg Dragan
Beautiful museum. Loved the cars and the Mopar event was a blast! Entered our Challenger in the car show. Didn't win but still had a great time with other car people.
Christine Landreville
We visited for the special Christmas displays. It was beautiful. The diner was open, there were snacks available outside and small campfires to roast marshmallows on with the smore kit purchased nearby. Free ornament making in the Heritage Building. Among the cars were displays of what a Christmas might look like from a decade gone by. It was a great visit. And don’t miss the inflatables!
Amanda Cabrera
Cool car museum! Cars are far from my thing personally but my little boy (4) and husband enjoy them and my daughter even got some satisfaction looking at the "cool old cars".
We barely saw anything they have to offer because we had our dogs waiting in the car & didn't want them to get too cold (spoiler: they were just fine sleeping away and we worried for nothing lol). But what we did get around to in our short time was really cool :)
Eric & Kim Lebs
A great collection of cars & car-related items. The informational signage with the cars is very helpful & interesting too. A definite 'must see' if you're in the area.
Carrie Mounce
This is one of the best car museums I have ever been to. We will go back again next summer. It was so beautiful.
Chad Loeffler
I have never seen such a well curated collection of cars from every era. These cars by and large are incredibly rare and a lot of times one off specimens.
Sara Rabidoux
This place was amazing and interesting and a must see if you are ever in the area! Many things to do and themed weekends. It's a great experience!
patricia montgomery
The Gilmore car show was absolutely amazing. Let me first start off with my favorite car in the whole wide of this world is the 1969 Mustang, Candy Apple Red/with white leather interior.
And when I arrived there, I was on a mission, So I headed out over this territory to find my favorite, well they did not have my color they did have multiple Mustangs. Can I say that I was in seventh heaven. The vintage cars that arrived was outstanding. There was even an old Bell-air, how about a 57 chevy? Not to mention the old ford's that ruled as they drove one by one around the strip 'Nevertheless we shall not forget about the classic Camaro's That Sounded off on the asphalt that night.
They had some beautiful vintage Trucks there as well.
There's just something about the sound of a rumbling engine that gets me exited.
Let's not leave out the Harley Davidson motorcycle's they rule too. The Gillmore Car Museum even had an ole timey restaurant there. The band played old time rock n roll, so it was right down my ally. Lots of good food and great people. I even had a guy help me try to find my mustang, Hilarious, {it was his favorite car too} Oh yes, I forgot to mention How big this place is,90 acres can you believe it, I think I walked all of them too. One more thing the Gilmore car museum is North America's largest Car Museum 'and it started in the early 1960s, when Donald s Gilmore started collecting automobiles.
Jake Alexander
Could not believe how many cars they had. A whole wing dedicated to Lincoln another to Corvette a whole building dedicated to Cadillac. You won't see some of this stuff anywhere else. It's amazing takes a good amount of time to look at everything hours if you are interested. Food and drink available on site also. Super cool 50s diner. I will be back for sure
john white
Unbelievable array of beautiful automobiles.
Only thing I would do is put directions on the road be much easier than trying to understand the map. But I will return again
Tech Gole
Largest car museum in the U.S.!
A fun, informative experience! My wife, not into cars, enjoyed the historic perspective.
Chris Vander Kley
Had the great pleasure to help preserve some automotive history at the world famous Gilmore Car Museum. If you're any type of gear head this is a must see. Everything from horseless carriages to some modern day vehicles. A great way to spend a day.
Frank Christina
There's a little bit of everything to satisfy just about any enthusiast. From the early days of the motor car through the years into the muscle car era and beyond. Motorcycles of all makes and models. The building full of hood ornamentation is incredible. Pedal cars, old school diner and replica dealerships to round it all out!
Matt Carr
this is a great place for top petrol heads, weekend enthusiasts, historians or just those who love automobiles.
large open spaces, exhibits you can walk up to and around most vehicles, just do not touch! classic, steam, muscle, luxury, rare brands, makes, models, one of a kind exotics, and even concept cars are all ob exhibit here. young kids have some interactive exhibits to play on but might be better suited for 10+ for experience. movie theaters, out buildings, themes and even re creations of dealership or parts dept are part of the experience. I spent 4 hours and went through 2x and still didnt visit every car. each vehicle is labeled and has information as to what it is, details as to why it is special and then outlines specifics on motor, HP, etc.
never pass an opportunity to visit. check website for events, drive in, santa trunk or treat, etc!
Keith Palazzo
Friend told us we should to go to this place and I am glad he did. Spent 3 hours at this fabulous museum. Beautiful cars from early 1900’s to 2019. Most cars are from the 30’s to the 70’s. Very interesting and highly maintained. Admission was $16 but well worth it.
David Reeverts
Enjoyed a very good display of various cars from the late 1800 to current. Many buildings dedicated to specific bands. Restoration of many of the cars was great! I recommend this to anyone who enjoys cars and car history.
Pat M
Fantastic collection for me as a car guy. Mainly American cars form the 30s to 50s. Took me about 3h to see everything.
John Kitchen
An amazing display of cars. Many improvements since my last visit with more to come. I can't wait to see the new buildings.
Dean Dykstra
This museum has so many things related to cars it is hard to do it justice. That said, you don't have to love cars to love this place. When you hear something for everyone, this place embodies the best of experiences. Reasonably priced and full of fun you will need to come back more than once. It is in the middle of nowhere, but worth the drive from anywhere. The website will give you a sense of all there is to do, but take my word and check it out yourself.
samantha Grove
Absolutely love spending a day here I get lost in all the beautiful cars I've been many times and can't wait to get back
Mike McGuire
A huge campus of buildings connected on a walking tour. A great history of all kinds of cars and even had a great relationship with the Indy 500.
Hans Johnson
Wow. Terrific, lots of cars, but I especially enjoyed the ones from the 60s and 70s. There is a lot here, almost too much to take in in one go. So if you have a favorite brand, start there.
Fitz Fitzgerald
We enjoyed a fantastic trip through the Gilmore Car Museum while on site for the Volvo Car Show (every 2 years). Personal favorites were the Cheysler Turbine, the Tucker Torpedo, and the DeLorean. They have entire rooms dedicated to steam powered cars, muscle cars, classics rom the 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s. We also enjoyed rides in the Model T fleet that was out on the driving course today. Thanks for a fantastic time and God bless.
ken kasko
Awesome collection. Friendly staff. Not like some museums where you are far away from the cars. 99% of the cars are not behind velvet rope. Elves are getting ready for the lights. Beware the Grinch does move.
Rivers6908
Great place to spend an afternoon. Check their website for events.....lots of cool stuff happening this month. Throughout the summer as well
Ashish Patel
Great Museum for car lovers. Such a great location a little remote but vast property.
Daniel Jones
This museum is amazing. If you love old school classics, this place is for you.
Cyndi P
The museum had a nice collection of cars with nice descriptions. The campus is large, with various museums focusing on various types of cars, such as Model A, Cadillac, or Heritage tha features cars arranged by era and models. This is an interesting place for car lovers.
Alisha Simons
This is my 3rd time here. There is so much to see and we still have not made it to all of the barns. We attended the Mopars event and was a little annoyed with the amount of new cars in the car show. But otherwise was a good event.
Garold Willis
Good entertainment for the car peeps. Has on-site restaurants. All kinds of classic and antique cars inside. And usualy an auto show on the weekends.
Brian Sawa
Great experience at the Gilmore Car Museum. Off the beaten path, nice drive through Yankee Springs area. Loved the muscle cars, and the diner on site. Apple pie was delicious.
C B
This is an incredible automotive museum! Plan to spend the entire day here or plan multiple trips like we are as a family! There is so much to take in. I love the fact that you can get right up, close and personal with everything on display. The amount of automotive history on these grounds is astounding! You will not be disappointed. Admission is very reasonable, great staff, beautiful grounds and buildings. Make time to go, you'll be glad you did!
Joanne Simoneaux
Amazing band, amazing people. Great time food and drinks and a beautiful display of gorgeous classic cars.
Janet Howland
We were there for a wedding, but we definitely will be going back just to spend a day looking through the museum and the rest of the grounds. Our guide Amanda was awesome! She was very knowledgeable and helpful, and her passion for her work with these cars was so nice to see.
If you love cars and their history, this is a must see place to check out.
Matt Johnston
There was a bike show that day but I got too distracted by the cars to see many bikes! This is the most amazing place to see the old cars. Every time I walk in it seems like this is my first time.
Grant
It's one of the best places to visit if you have free time, has a lot of muscle cars there.
Matt Thomas
Very cool. Overwhelming amount of vehicles. Awesome to visit.
Laura Cipielewski
Being a long time Michigan resident and an enthusiastic fan of vintage vehicles the collection at the Gilmore Car Museum is by far my favorite. It is well worth your drive to Hickory Corners to view this fabulous collection! They have many special events like vintage motorcycle events, concerts, swap meets. There are 13 buildings with so much to see. They have a great vintage dinner and a cafe for food options. They also sell adult beverages for the BIG kids! Plan on spending a full day to get the complete experience.
David Graham
it was Ford Model A day. place was loaded with all years of the famous Model A. it was well worth the trip.
Margarita Maldonado Whitehead
What a great visit!
We will go back to see all of the cars another time!
Brenda Fox
Awesome place to go to check out Old cars great staff love the out side dinner
Oliver Warne
Huuuuuuge collection of cars by all kinds of manufacturers. I liked the Locomobile brand of cars - cars that ran on steam power like a locomotive. I learned that steam power was strongly considered as a possible way forward in the early days of the automotive industry.
They also had a very interesting exhibit on early female drivers, another on early recreational vehicles, one on early road side attractions and lodgings. I learned a ton. They offer a free guided tour, or you can walk around yourself. I might come back in the near future because there was so much to see, I didn't see it all in one visit
Gerry Champoux
Awesome car collection. Attended Corvette Envy. Had a great time. There are frequent weekend special events.
Michael Kolodziej
I really had a great time here with the muscle car show outside and all the fabulous cars in the museum - everything is very nicely presented in a relaxing rural atmosphere
Ian Strait
Very good sized collection of automobiles in a real cool spread out campus
Andrew Isbell
One of the best car museums in the US. Always a great time admiring all the beauties. Back when cars were works of art.
Katherine Brewer
Great museum, especially the model A museum! We are lifetime members and have enjoyed many events including Model A days, Model T driving school and Celebration of Brass. Don't miss the opportunity to camp on site and overnight on the grounds! All the staff are helpful and friendly!
jon muzzarelli
It's really impressive. So is it's goal, "to tell the history of America through the automobile". I'm confident you will reach the same conclusion I reached. They reached their mission. The quality of the collections is matched with quantity of the pieces they have on display. It's really big. The campus has factory buildings, barns, a working 1940 diner, a 1930 Shell gas station, one of the largest automotive mascot and badges collection in America. It is very clean and extremely well maintained. The staff are warm and friendly. There is so much to see, everyone will have something to gaze at. I've visited three times and I can wait to go back. They have a very active events calendar, I would suggest giving it a quick look to see if there is anything really special near your travel window.
James Obert
Amazing museum. Don't expect to see imports here. All American cars. Some import motorcycles.
Todd Stoney
SWEET PLACE! GREAT FANILY FUN! Lookin' Back got the rock star treatment......but then again we saw all their guests get very special treatment. THIS (((MUST SEE))) MUSEUM IS PURE MICHIGAM.
Molly Detwiler
A great venue of antique, classic and muscle cars. The cars are displayed in large, clean barns with paved surfaces. There is a diner on-site for a lite lunch. Helpful and friendly staff on the grounds.
Austynne Blaine
Amazing collection of classic cars! Worth all the hype, be aware to bring handsy children the cars shouldn't be touched obviously! But my son is 8 and still wanted to touch the cars, but understood not to.. any younger, though I don't know. But young and old it's an amazing day trip!!!
Scot Scramlin
Excellent museum for car buffs. Rooms devoted to Corvettes, Franklins, etc. Full buildings for Model A Fords and other classics. Nice display of muscle cars and motorcycles. One barn is devoted to pedal cars and part of the set of the Disney film The Gnome Mobile. Also there is a functioning diner. If you are into cars, this museum is a must see.
W Simpson
Gilmore's is a lot of fun, there are so many cars to see on site. They host many car shows throughout the season. The barns are full of very nice cars, some of them are very rare. They have lots of auto industry related items. Gilmore's is a very educational place for all.
unsatisfied99
We visited on the hoods up event. Apparently, this occurs in the very early spring. With the hoods up, it was a great opportunity to see engines for a number of interesting cars.
It was fascinating to see cars from the 50s 60s and 70s. The size of those cars is extraordinary. They are extraordinary in the sense of how immense they are in terms of both size and weight.
There are several buildings and if you travel through at a moderate pace, you can easily spend 3 to 4 hours or more. And, it is a great way to spend several hours if you have any Interest in cars. Make sure you get the map when you buy your tickets. Then, there is a suggested path. If it’s your first visit, that is probably the best way to go.
We stopped in during Covid which meant some of the buildings were closed. It sounds like some of the buildings are closed seasonally. Check their website for of the various events. These include music and some outdoor displays.
This would be a great place to visit during warmer weather. There are several large, open areas outside and couple of different places where you can get snacks or food. And you can eat outside. Reasonably priced food.
The one downside is the location. It is about 45 minutes to an hour from Lansing and about 35-45 minutes from Battle Creek. That said, roads leading to the location are not likely to be crowded. There is a great deal of on site parking.
The gift shop was a OK. Some of the items seemed pretty unique. So, not a lot of the same stuff you would see at other museum type gift shops.
LovelyLuna1988
This place is amazing. Took my boyfriend here for his birthday and they had an event where he could ride in a classic and he had a blast. The volunteers were happy to answer all the questions my three year old asked and let her honk the horn on one of the cars (made her day). There was so much stuff to see that we didn't make it through everything. We will happily return for another day trip vacation soon.
Shawn Shaffer
We did the model T driving experience. It was frantastic! The instructors were patient and knowledgeable and also gave great historical facts. The grounds were quite and we had a hot dog at a restored 50's diner on the property. This was well worth the trip!
Lacey Morley
Visited for the Winter Wonderland this year. Great value for the money! 1 mile long drive thru of lights synchronized with music, one of the best we've been to. Buying tickets online and redeeming was easy, plus being able to explore the museum and grounds. It was a great experience and will definitely be back!
Michael
2nd time back here. There will be more. The best Car Museum we have ever seen. Clean, neat & Super Friendly Staff. Put it on your Bucket list. You won't regret it.
Jacob Bodnar
Impressed by how nice and well kept it is. There's a lot of variety in the cars on display and displays around the automotive industry in general.
I would not recommend bringing kids under the age of three as they understandably don't allow you to touch the cars and my two year olds struggled to keep their hands off them. So definitely a 4 or 5 and up type of place.
Rachel Gray
A fantastic place to visit. A must see for car lovers and really fun even if you don't know much about cars. Lots of family friendly activities.
Kelsey De Jong
Came to the museum to share it with my husband after having been here as an older teen. Both times were enjoyable and there was at least one new building the second time I attended. I recommend the potato salad and the hot fudge sundae at the diner!
Ahmed Issawi
This place is amazing, not only is it well kept, it gives visitors the ability to experience different time periods of automobiles. All the cars are in immaculate shape, with some of the rarest cars in the world. All the cars have full descriptions on them so that you feel like your own tour guide and walk at your own pace.
Lewis n Malinda Stutzman
We drove 2 1/2 hours to the museum. A birthday event for my husband. He likes old cars, especially the Ford Model A and T! It was well worth the drive! I thought as a woman I might soon get bored but I really didn't. I enjoyed it very much! We especially enjoyed the Model A garage! Also very friendly staff! I highly recommend this place!
Kelsey
Absolutely beautiful, I was so impressed by EVERYTHING. The room for expansion makes me very excited to come back. Such a great place to spend a day. Good Job, keep up the good work.
Corey Davis
Huge selection of cars to see and things to do. We went for the Christmas lights and were more than impressed! Only suggestion is they need port a johns through out the event out doors. One bathroom for 300+ people was insane. Definitely will be back!
Cynthia Ernst
I have been here several times. Always something different to see. Big changes/addition coming soon.
benjamin killion
Absolutely love this place you get the most out of your money money well spent
Grace Clem
Tons of beautiful vintage cars. Friendly staff.
Derek Gross
The cars were very impressive. Liked the set up of a little town with dealership and gas station. Alot more to see than expected. Lot of benches and picnic tables to rest at.
Jeff Hoshor
While I am not a huge car buff personally this museum is amazing. I love the setup of different brands are in different buildings. It is definitely worth checking out. We will be back with a bigger group at some point. We spent about 90 min going back in time. Car buffs could spend hours at this location. Multiple barns on multiple locations. The barns all have an original history of some sort.
Bryan Likes to eat out
Fantastic experience! So much cleaner than greenfield village. Everything is meticulously maintained and of course you cannot touch any of the cars but you can stick your head in the passenger side window!
Myron Bullerwell
If you're ever near Plainwell Michigan on the 131 you owe to yourself to take the short 13 to 16 mile deviation to visit the Gilmore Car Museum this incredible compound boasts some of the most interesting exhibits and cars. A day could easily be spent there but could be walked through in a half day and for the price of admission and the access and close encounters with these vehicles it is vary rare. This is a family friendly facility however, it would be highly recommended to keep the little one's in close check for their are no guards or safety ropes in place encompassing these rare vehicles which is uncommon.
Little Joe Fontana
Absolutely the finest car Museum in the country.
Dan Boverhof
If you are into cars and history at all, this is a must see. Can't wait to go back this spring. Everyone is very helpful and it is well worth the ride through the country to get there.
Jan Thorn
We rented the ballroom and main galleries for a wedding reception. Compared to the other venues in the area, the Gilmore was extremely competitive priced and unparalleled as far as offering our guests the unique experience to tour the museum while waiting for the wedding party to arrive. The staff were accommodating and creatively helped meet our needs and our budget concerns.
Sam Standafer
I can't tell you how impressive this place is. This is a hidden gem and I'm not okay with keeping it that way. This place deserves so much recognition. By far the BIGGEST car museum I've ever been to. The muscle car section I literally started to cry. The cars are gorgeous and there's so many of them to see. There's motorcycles and toy cars. There's cars from the earliest times you can imagine all the way to present day. The museum focuses on cars from the 1900's primarily. However there are a handful of 2000's to look at. I'd love to go back here because there's so much to see and not enough time in the day. Please tell everyone about this place. It's incredible.
Marc Shoemaker
An outstanding car museum to visit! This was my third time and found several new cars to see along with the classics. Very clean and well layer out, a must see!
Shane Towne
This is a great museum. Durring special events they open all the barns. There are cars, motorcycles, car related toys, fonzies motorcycle and my favorite car a old Ford roadster. Beautiful country setting with hours of fun.
Andy Davis
It was good. There were lots of cars. My kids were more interested than I thought they would be. The real heroes were the cafe workers, though. They were so busy and the food was much better than expected. If you have to go near Kalamazoo for some ungodly reason, a trip hear will be the highlight!
Robert Clawson
This place is huge lots and lots beautiful cars to look at trucks too couple bad thing only two restrooms in the whole place that we found gorgeous place be prepared to be there quite a while to see all of the cars and stuff oh yeah they got motorcycle stuff too not a whole lot but some nice ones it's in a separate building there is a place to get food there actually two I think went inside one building and one outside in the back they have a lot of stuff that goes on there car shows looks like he's having a live band today when we left or something like that it's just a nice place to visit it's on 90 acres.

I Spoke with a representative from the Gilmore Car Museum at Muscle Car And Corvette Nationals. Took a drive with my family up to see their Winter Wonderland event going on now. Was blown away at the size and setup of this museum. I could spend an entire day here. The staff were incredibly kind and knowledgeable about the cars. The Winter Wonderland event was great too! Marshmallow roasting firepit for smores. Cotton candy was made right in front of us. The car ride in the 1939 Packard convertible was beautiful. Roger the driver was awesome! 1000% worth the long drive from Chicagoland area. Can't wait to be back! You must see this place!
Allison Siegel
This museum is a must see! The cars are amazing. I would like to go back during the summer as it seems some of the exhibits are closed during the winter.
Jill R
A must see for all car fans. Many buildings with vintage cars from every era and lots of information. They have a Tucker!
William Rhodes
Absolutely love this place. A lot of history is represented, the vehicles are exceptional, and the facilities are top notch. I'll be back in the summer!
Chris Kumnick
Gilmore Car Museum was awesome! Great facilities, great vehicles, great people! Will make another visit in the future.
Leon McCaskill
Great place, a real hidden gem in the woods. One of the best car museums I've ever attended. Most other car museums are just warehouses of cars. Here they try to surround each group of cars with the actual historical ambiance of the car's period. If you like old cars and some motorcycles, this must be on your bucket list. The grounds are manicured and lovely. We really enjoyed having lunch in the 50s style chrome metal cafe.
Enes Akbuga
Absolutely loved it!
There are so many classic cars to see located in 13 different buildings. The place feels lake a big ranch where buildings look like barns. The staff is very friendly and there is a diner where you can eat!
Definitely recommend visiting there and also it requires at least 3-4 hours if you like to fully visit the whole place.
Rob J
The Family suprised me with a trip here for Fathers day 2019. Was amazed at how huge this museum was and the quality of the exhibits. Love all of the antique automotive and motorcycle displays , especially loved the car in barns cars. We had lunch at the 1940s Diner and the food was good, the staff was friendly and the prices were affordable. Speaking of staff, the volunteer staff at the Gilmore car museum were very helpful and knowledgeable in each exhibit. If youre looking for something nice to do for the automotive buff in your life, take them here.

Fantastic visit. I was fortunate enough to pick the weekend where there was a special Dusenburg exhibit. Online is says there is a 90 acre campus: don't let that scare you, because the exhibit halls are all within walking distance.
Of particular note there are buildings emulating Ford, Lincoln and Cadillac dealerships. There is a 1940s diner on the property serving food and drinks. Also on site is a building devoted to Pierce-Arrows, one for motorcycles, and one for classic hood ornaments. There is also a nostalgic Shell gas station.
Paul Herbst
Great museum, went there for a Corvette show and being from out of town weren't really sure how the museum would be. We were overly impressed with how much was there to see. The history and individual buildings were awesome. You could spend several days there and see different things you may have missed the first time you went through. Great layout and facilities every building we went into was clean and nicely organized. Will be back to this great gem again. It was a great time.
DemonetizationNationTM
Fantastic museum, love their events and the muscle car exhibit. But one thing I noticed was that the only exhibit that had a parts section was the ford dealership, and not only that but it was also the only exhibit with a manikin working on a car.
-A chevy fan
Jeffrey Berman
Amazing variety of gorgeous, rare cars! Friendly, knowledgeable docents. Tickets are too expensive during the winter. Half of the museum is closed, but the ticket price is only $1 cheaper?! Cafe was opened, but no one was there to serve us. Otherwise, awesome museum for car lovers!
Thomas Norton
They had an awesome display of Corvettes
Stephen C. Dayton
My family and I went to the Gilmore Car Museum back in May 2018 and took part in the Model-T Driving School where they teach you to drive a few different versions of the Model-T. I think we paid $100 per family member and while that was a LOT of money to us I'm extremely glad we did it. It was the highlight of our 10 road trip and we each got a driving school certificate of completion as well. What I think the certificate really stood for was learning to drive a Model-T without destroying it or running over anyone! ;-)
The museum itself was also amazing as well with cars from all time periods. There were plaques next to each car with some history. On top of that they also included a tour guide for parts of it. I'm afraid I don't recall if that was free or it was because we bought the driving school option.
They even had some cool non-public vehicles like a bus, fire engine and more.
The gift shop was pretty good with a decent number of touristy items to buy. I'd say the prices were a bit high, but not far outside what you'd expect.
Robb Ramirez
A very impressive collection of cars from most every decade of the 20th century. There was a special exhibit on Duesenberg while we were there that was particularly great. I've never seen so many in one place before! Also cool was the "women who motor" exhibit. The campus itself is very clean, well laid out and have that 50s-60s town dealership feel to them, complete with a gas station and working diner. Overall a very cool place to visit, and well worth the trip!
Erin Brundage
We love coming here because my three year old and my husband love cars. We got the membership and come often to wander though the cars and see what new stuff they have. We found out that you can pay for camping there (just no fire for obvious reasons) and check out the museum or the cool diner! Will always come back and already looking into upgrading our membership. When we went two days ago, one of the staff even offered to let us get a picture with our son in one of the cars! ❤️
Chad Carew
I spent five hours here and still don't feel like I saw everything I wanted to see. Entrance is only fifteen for adults. I'd much rather this than a movie. There's a retro diner so it wouldn't be bad for a date either. I didn't eat there so I can't comment on the food or pricing. I don't have kids but staff were good with the children others had. Opened doors to see inside the older cars, answered questions like "why isn't there a seatbelt?". They were also very informative and friendly, and tried to give you some opportunities to take pictures without being in your field of view, as they are constantly wiping the cars down and keeping things clean. The whole place was very well kept. There is a Disney set piece from an older move called The Gnome Mobile that kids would like too. Nice variety of eras and types of cars, as well as one building for motorcycles. If you like cars or history you'll have a good time. Give yourself the better part of the day to really see it all. I killed my phone battery taking so many pictures. I tried to reflect the variety in the pics I selected for this review.

I was not expecting such a large property—you could easily spend an entire day here. An amazing display of cars from all decades. I personally am not a car enthusiast—I came for my husband—but really enjoyed myself. Coming in autumn, you get the bonus of a beautiful color tour on your drive to the museum. Looking forward to returning for a car show in the spring.
Eula Roland
The Gilmore Car Museum is absolutely the BEST antique auto museum! So much to see! The grounds are massive, and separate buildings to view all different years, makes & models. 1 building has a huge collection of pedal cars, Ford bldg., Cadillac bldg., Chevy's & up front by the entrance the largest display of Duesenbergs in the USA. The price $10. a person, not sure about children. Also, there is a small 1940's diner that serves sandwiches, salads, & ice cream. To fully appreciate this, you need comfortable shoes, and 3 or more hours. Also, on their website, lots of events to check out. Must see if you are in the Battle Creek/Kalamazoo area.
Steve Speck
A must see! I have been to many car museum's. Many good car museum's. This is a car city! Unbelievable amount of cars, motorcycles, truck's, toys, doll houses, miniatures. It is of the highest quality! If you like car's, you will love this place.
Zachary Frieben
Haven't actually been in the buildings or barns yet, but yesterday was their Wednesday car show. My cousin brought his '67 Mustang over and my uncle brought his '37 Chevy over. It's such a nice place for a car show! Lots of cool cars to see, and best of all, it's free! I would love to return so I can see what's in the buildings and in the barns.
Devil .Z
A perfect time capsule.
One of the finest vintage automotive museums in Michigan hands down. The grounds are meticulously groomed. The show rooms for each manufacture are brilliantly displayed in "true to the era" service station. Your missing out if you don't try the chocolate malt shake at the retro diner. It's worth every penny.
Lynn Henderson
Enjoyed their Winter wonderland event!
Laura
Great car museum. Here on 2/13/21. Going to come back in the summer
Elaine Williams
Really enjoyed walking through the museum. There were a lot of beautiful cars to see.
Steven Smith
Well worth the drive if you are in the area. It's a walk around set up and they had some spectacular cars. The vehicles are located inside various buildings and are worth checking out. It's $15 for adults and small kids are free (6 and under).
Ice Claudon
The cars here are phenomenal! And are kept in even better shape. The place is massive and many places to look and view. There are many rare vehicles as well. This place will easily take the whole day to explore.
Derek Cripps
Excellent staff. Can walk right up to the cars to get a better look at them not all roped off. Lots of extremely rare cars in unique dealership styled buildings. Also an original diner.
Vasile Carp
Awesome museum. Everything is clean. The grounds are nice and well taken care of. Cars are amazing.
Wayne Geiser
Wow! We've visited a lot of automobile museums, but this one is something special. Not only did they have a lot of things that I've never seen or heard of before but they were presented in a new and different way. Focusing on a story for each car in the museum made each and every one of them fascinating. I wish we lived closer.
We had lunch in the diner. The hot dogs were very tasty.
Alisha
While driving out to the museum we thought okay where is the GPS taking us? But it lead us right to Gilmore. The museum is set back in a beautiful country setting, quite and very well taken care of. We were amazed by the amount and different styles of automobiles they had on display. Had a section with motorcycles and even peddle cars! The little diner is a must stop even for just a piece of our and milkshake. You could spend a whole day walking around. Well worth the drive out there! I have always wanted to see a Tucker car in person and was finally able to best part for me!!
Jennifer Zomberg
We arrived not very long before closing and still had to pay full admission. I had no idea the museum was on a sprawling campus. Next visit will have to be an entire day and not just 1-2 hours. The cars were beautiful though.
Ray Davis
An awesome place. Better than the Henry Ford museum. We seen and read about cars we never knew existed. The Blue Moon Diner serves the best malts and floats.
Becky Brown
Very cool place. Nice that you can really get close to the cars and the festival of lights was really fun
Pankaj R
Great place to see fantastic, older cars from the early 1900s through the 1980s. A couple of their buildings are air conditioned. The rest are not. I don't recommend going there on a brutally hot day unless you stay in the AC buildings which do have a lot of cars. Not sure why, many of the buildings had a very strong smell of gasoline. My family had to walk right back out of some buildings. Great stuff, especially if you are a car history buff.
Mark Estel
Great location to display the automobiles and other vehicles. The grounds were very well kept. My wife and I even enjoyed the pedal car display, talking about our own pedal cars in the early 1960's.
Jeff Meister
Went for a car show, stayed for the museum. Actually didn't get enough time for the museum so I'll have to come back!! Fantastic place, if you are interested in automobiles at all then seek out this museum and plan a visit, you will not be disappointed!
Tycho Aussie
Gilmore is likely the best car museum in the nation. Well curated, with a story about each car (and sometimes it's prior owners) within. It is a fantastic collection, with a rotating Inventory of museum owned cars mixed with cars on loan from private collectors. Everything from late 1800's through today is on display. All high quality restorations or preserved barn finds from the start of the automotive world, it is a worthwhile place to make your destination!
Robert Foltz
Impressive gem just outside of Kalamazoo. Don’t let the location fool you- while it seems out in the middle of nowhere, there’s an impressively large facilities and many different buildings to explore of cars ranging from the 1900s all the way to the muscle car generation. You could spend several days exploring the grounds and still not see everything that that they have to offer. The main showroom has a fresh modern look and the cars are very well kept- you’d be pressed to find any dust on them at all. Do yourself a favor and check out the Gilmore, it won’t disappoint!
Mac Franklin (Mashmacster)
Great place to take any car lover or bike love with many different exhibits and corners of this large museum. From brass, muscle to the delorean! All of the cars are kept in upmost clean, mint and wonderful condition. A must see for little to large car lovers with almost anything for anyone.
Joseph Giuliano
We absolutely enjoyed the experience here! The volunteers here are wonderful people (expecially Richard B. at the Ford Model A building)! The presentation of vehicles and information is truly wonderful! We were only able to spend one day here (it was our wedding anniversary) not enough time. My wife and I enjoyed it so much we plan on coming back soon!
Rayma Zugel
More than just a day trip, there is so much to see.
Aaron Weller
My wife brought me here as a surprise birthday trip. We had a great time and the cars are beautiful.
Robert Taylor
Always a great time and learn so much about automotive history, this is my 2nd time going and im impressed with the staff and how knowledgeable they are and very polite. Lots of new exhibits and lots to learn about our automotive history in Michigan its a must go and see for yourself.
Ashley Gutowski
Great surprise, the cars are on great condition, not ones you see every day and there is lots to see. Classy atmosphere with an attention to detail. Worth going to snd will be back. Can be a hard place for young kids who like to touch things.
Sue W
Family friendly with a lot to see and do
Cathy Shell
Beautiful display of vehicles and their history! Highly recommend it as way to spend an afternoon!
Linda Cichocky
What a classy museum! Well done. Beautiful grounds. Wonderful history. Well worth a visit!
Briana Harrier
I've been here twice now and I absolutely loved it. The only thing I didn't like is most of the outside buildings are closed right now and I wish they would have told us that or even lower priced a little. We had planned on seeing a few things in those buildings, so that was a huge bummer. Other than that, it was great
S Stewart
Large collection of mostly Pre-Depression vehicles on well laid out grounds. They had brands that I wasn't aware existed. The onsite classic diner was nice and had good food. All the collections were well laid out and displayed. A must for any classic car lover.
Gloria Badiner
This is an amazing museum with a must see collection of cars and auto related items. Something for all interests and ages. Fully accessible. Kids to adults will enjoy the pedal car collection to the model As. There is food on site and the buildings are set on lovely grounds. Special events happening year round so check out their calendar. Mad Dogs and Englishmen, antique tractors, muscle cars.....
Liz Mitchell
We walked into the main building and got lost in all the cars. Then a worker told us there were additional buildings outside! This place was huge! Plus they are expanding and adding more. The cars are phenomenal and in pristine condition. It’s the largest collection in the Western Hemisphere and after they expand, the largest world wide (if I recall correctly)! That’s pretty amazing.
The one picture I took was of a flying machine lol since my daughter is into that :)
Dan Sytsma
Love this place. Lots to see. Everyone is super friendly. I would plan to be here ALL DAY to see everything. Take advantage of the rides in the cars if you get an opportunity.
SHOUNAK DEY
Came across the place while driving back home from Chicago and it was worth the detour. Amazing collection of vintage cars. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Jakob Cook
The Model T driving school was an experience I wont forget. Such knowledgeable staff and the hands on driving was great. Museum is top notch as well. Such a great venue and automotive collection. Top notch!
Bob Sears
Great car museum complex celebrating the automobile. There is something for everyone here. There is food service so you can spend the day because it will take at least a day to see everything. Many buildings stuffed with automotive history. So many brands of cars many have never heard of before. It's really neat to see how ideas flowed 90-120 years ago that we are still using on cars today.
G and T Graham
We enjoyed it! Large campus and excellent variety! Beautifully restored buildings, too.
Matt
My pics hardly do justice to the treasure that is the Gilmore Car Museum. Go here today or plan a trip in the future soon. You will easily get lost in the details and hours will fly by. Clear a day or two and take plenty of pictures. Families are ofcourse welcome and they also host events.
Rick Constien
Awesome place. All day event. Lots to see
Lots of walking . Most have A/C .. dinner had good lunch..
David Griffes
I learned the differents between a car show and a car museum. Will be going back soon
Franklyn Salogga
Awesome place to take the family and enjoy automobile history and great place to do events
Raymond Martucci
The place is huge workers are friendly. Love the cars to many to see making another trip for it.
Tim S
One of the premiere auto museums in the world! But I suggest you wear a baseball cap when you visit because the buildings are lit with spotlights, and no matter where you look you'll have 10 of them shining straight in your eyes.
Bill McNair
The Gilmore Car Museum is an experience not to be missed. If you are a fan of history or cars then you will love this place. It's located just northwest of Kalamazoo on the historic Gilmore Farm. The museum is spread out over several buildings, but all of them are within a short distance. Plan on a full afternoon or half a day. Lots of really cool and historic cars. Highly recommended.
Craig Evans
Very impressed at the facility and the price. Disappointed that I have lives I the area for decades and I waited so long to go. Each building is close together, so I feel you could still enjoy your visit even if weather was bad. I particularly enjoyed reflecting on our nation’s history through looking at the cars. Employees and volunteers were very nice and helpful.
Fed Man
You will not be disappointed. It took us over 3 hours to look at everything and we rushed it. This is a all day event.
You will see cars you have never seen before. But they do need more Nashs 😉
Lois Lumsden
What a great place! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The cars are so well done and the grounds are beautiful! The Blue Moon Diner is the bomb!
Dave Johnson
Worth every penny. The experience is one you and your family will never forget. Not into cars? This museum is made to showcase the beautiful history of automobiles in a way even the most hesitant patron would enjoy!
Tammy
Wonderful variety of vehicles on display. Offer several fun events throughout the year. Separate museum buildings offer a little something for everyone! If you really want an amazing experience be sure to ask a docent to show you around, they know some extra interesting tidbits about many of the vehicles on display!
Lindsay Kovar
I can not tell you how much my family loved this museum! We were there for 2 hours and could easily have stayed longer. If we go back we will now to allow for more time. Even my pre-teen who isn't into cars enjoyed himself. They have so much to see on site with a lot some activities to keep everyone entertained. All of the staff and volunteers went above and beyond to make sure you were having a good time. The price was very reasonable for the amount you got to see and do.
Jordan Janisse
Amazing collection of cars. Worth the detour. We need to go back when it is warmer to see the entire collection - some cars are in unheated barns.
Vickey Ashby
My husband and I go every year. I always find something new. We love this place! We usually bring new people.
Mark Sutherland (Thirsty Fish LLC)

Steven
First Time We Have Been There, We had an Awesome Time, Great Camaro Car Show Today! The car history and buildings are Amazing!! We will be Back!
Nicholas Field
It was a really neat place. They focused on earlier cars more than I thought they did. The Mircocar meet was also very fun to watch.l, as well as the air cooled meet.
Ha Li
Was here for a wedding, wonderful venue! There's several areas to stroll through and they host a lot of events. Would love to return again.
Mary Pritchard
Great way to spend the afternoon! Lots to see, even if you’re not a car aficionado. Tasty custard from the diner is a must do.
Edward Mark
My band played there, and they treated us incredibly well. Food, drinks and they chauffeured us to the gig in 1960s Cadillacs. Great experience and great people.
Joann Smith
The cars are beautiful along with the motorcycles. The grounds are awesome with a small ice cream shop with homemade pie.
Jason Conte
Incredible classic car collection. We were lucky enough to attend the Cadillac show. If you appreciate classic automobiles and a rich history Gilmore is for you! My best birthday was spent here and I hope to return soon.
Laurie Stanton
The Gilmore was wonderful. I have never seen that many beautiful cars in one place. Very clean staff friendly. A must see for young and old. 😆
Andy Grimes
We went on a Wednesday. Great place to walk around and see all the old cars. There was a live band and decent food with drinks.
Henry Lanouette
One of the most beautiful car museums I've ever been to. Could very well be the best in the country?
Donna Raider
So many cars so little time. Amazing diplays. Informative staff. Best coney dog and chocolate shake at the dinner. Three buildings not air conditioned but who cares. It was great. 15.00 to get in.
Jose Donjuan
Nice place, Beautiful cars, tons of history about them, you should have enough time to enjoy.
Trenton Kinzler
Went here for a Mustang-themed car show and was not disappointed by the show or the museum itself. If you're a car guy around the area, this is a bucket list location!
Zay
Fantastic museum with a massive collection. There were quite a few cars in the first building, but the outer buildings will surprise you with the amount and quality of cars. Whoever they got for the restoration of the vehicles deserves a shout out as well. Each car looked factory-new, with the exception of some intentionally un-restored few. Prepare to spend several hours here, there is a lot to get through, they also offer a vintage diner, with a fairly good menu. Would highly recommend. 5/5
Christy Davis
Would have liked to have seen some of the engines and trunks. A lot of nice cars!! A couple I wouldn't have put in...to new.
Edward Dixon
This place is totally amazing if you are a car nut or just want to bring the family for some fun.
Kelly Crouch
Fantastic museum! So many cars and displays to look at, will be coming back this spring to see everything!!
John B
Great museum, variety of vintage vehicles and lovely property!
Kelsey Pena
Amazing car museum!! So big & so much to look at. Take a day & get to strolling thru the automotive years .
Andrew Elegante
Like many other reviewers I stumbled upon this place. I had seen billboards in South Bend for what looked like a checkered can museum and I was looking for a little adventure on a Saturday so I figured why not. 3+ hours after I got there I hadn't seen everything and they were closing. So many really cool cars from a variety of different eras. I think the only thing that was missing were exotic cars like Porsches and Ferraris. Plenty to see, seemed to be family friendly and kind of a cool environment (farm with barns) to wander through
Jesse Westover
I am a die hard car nut and this place is my close to home sanctuary. Beautifully remodeled. I actually held my wedding in front of the old Shell gas station there. People are very knowledgeable that work, eat, sleep and breathe the gorgeous pieces of history on the grounds. Plus, the diner is top notch as well. Attached picture is from the 2019 DeutschMarques all German show. My car is the one with the hood open.
Paul Jongedyk
Top quality automobile museum with Auburns, Pierce Arrows, Duesenbergs, Franklins, Cadillacs, Lincolns etc etc. Beautiful buildings and grounds. Well worth the reasonable price for admission.
Jason Rutgers
Wonderfully curated collection of automobiles, pedal cars, and motorcycles. Great shows on weekends. Cruise in on Wednesday nights.
Debra Whelan
One of the most comprehensive automobile museums in the United States! If you're a car enthusiast, you will really enjoy your visit. There are also car shows each weekend throughout the summer months!
J W
Loved the winter wonderland event
John Durnbaugh
What a great collection. I can’t wait to go back in the summer. You are able to get up close, look into the interior without being restricted.
James Shiels
I am glad the Corvette exhibit will be around for another year. The Lola is an inspiration, someone should build a street driven tribute.
Brian P.
World Class car museum! Not to mention the special events they put on.
Sadly the best kept secret in Michigan. Beautiful sprawling grounds. Easily spend hours seeing everything. Even have a gift shop.
Sue Sinclair
A fun half day strolling and admiring historic cars and motorcycles in a bucolic, rural setting. Loved it.
Joshua Gray
Very cool museum with a lot of American cars on display. Features multiple buildings with different types of exhibits. Classic style buildings are also present and food and drinks. Car shows featured here are great too.
Daniel Harris
I love visiting here as often as I can. They have a diverse collection of some of the best examples of automotive history including rare examples. You can even learn to drive a Ford Model T, with its unique controls.
Nancy Stairhime
This was my first time there. I have wanted to come for years. We came for the Corvette Cruise-in. We walked the grounds and went through the buildings. I was in awe of everything I saw! I would love to come again. Every time you look you see something different! I found a couple of different places that you can sit in the vehicle and have your picture taken. And I did! LOL
Hugh Williams
The ideal place for car lovers and their families. Allow three hours to see all exhibits. Even non-car enthusiasts will enjoy learning about our history of personal transportation. Plenty of lodging in nearby Kalamazoo and Battle Creek. The drive to get there through Michigan's farm country reminds us of how fortunate we are.
Eric Stevick
Many cars here and all of them are beautiful there is cars here that i never even heard of.
Motorcycles and even old peddle cars too!
Vicki Deemer
This is a great museum for old car enthusiasts. Very educational if you care to read all about them. But it's fun to just stroll around and enjoy the grounds and all the wonderful cars. I went to the Peterson car museum in LA, and I enjoyed Gilmore just as much.
Redfox442
Great car shows all the time. I especially love the red barons event and the maddogz and Englishmen event! They also have some very notable exhibits. Worth checking out!
Victor Baker
If you are a car lover or a history buff, you'll enjoy it here. So much to see and do. It's always a fun trip for the adults and kids.
Shawn Leach
As a car guy I’m always looking for a museum to drive to and check out car collections. Gilmore car museum is one of the best private collections I’ve ever been to. All 90 acres of property are absolutely beautiful along with the car collection, the motorcycles, the pedal cars, the old gas station and the old diner you can actually eat at. this is such an amazing place you must put it on your to do list this summer and check it out for yourself! Absolutely incredible!
Hot rod Gypsy

Zachary camaj
Best automotive museum in the world, I absolutely love this place, i go every year.
Donald Torrence
I love this place. Been to several of the car shows this year and the price of admission includes the museum.
Brian Potter
Great place, attending 10th anniversary DeutscheMarques
Charles White
Really impressive car collections and historic displays. Different buildings dedicated to different eras and manufacturers. Worth the drive, without a doubt.
John Edwards
This is a fascinating automobile museum. Though we were hoping to catch the car show with whiskey tasting and cigar rolling, we unfortunately missed it. On a more positive note we had a ton of fun exploring the museum and learning about the history of the automotive industry. While you are there don't forget to go to the slotcar barn and have a race, then follow up with a refreshing malt in the 1940's diner from New Hampshire. This is a museum destination must see, and don't forget to check their website for all of their upcoming events such as the vintage bike show I know I will be there!!!
GTO Bill
One of the best car museums in the USA.
I've been a member for 15 years.
Dennis Kiewiet
Lovely place, we had a great time good way to spend an afternoon.
Amazingly restored old cars.
Eddie Rose
For a car lover this is the place.a must see.
Michael Young
A comprehensive museum of beautiful modern and historic automobiles. Nearly each and all vehicles have a plaque telling about a story or significance of the particular one on the floor. Gilmore is a must go to place for any auto enthusiast!
Lee Norton
This museum is a campus of multiple buildings, each filled with beautiful cars from days gone by. Lots of walking. I did not know Corvette made a station wagon. Did you? Plan a long day if you want to see it all. Or, multiple trips. Two on site restaurants, one a 1941 dinner. I plan to go back!
Pete Petersen
Fantastic. Guided tour in antique car. Beautiful restorations. Will visit again. Motor chairs we rented really helped.
Carl Pierce
Great place. Just about any car you would like to see.
Ryan McGinnis
This place is a real treasure. Whether you're from the Kalamazoo Area or across the country, it's worth a visit!

Megan H
Awesome place! Wished some of the other barns would have been open!
Roger Pashby
Went for the "cruise in ",saw over 800 local cars come in and parade to the parking area. Awesome display of loving cars.
Tim Huizenga
I prefer the Wednesday evening cruise ins, free to attend and informal! Grab a burger and a beer and enjoy the company of fellow car people. Car museum is good if you're into pre 1970s cars not much after that era.
Tammy
Great Car Museum whether you are a car enthusiast or not. A lot of history. Has a quaint little diner for you to grab a bite.
Mike Kozan
Very nice collection of cars! Very clean and friendly staff! You can even go for free rides in some of the cars.
Dave Atwood
Very fun place to take my son. He loved looking at the old muscle cars and learning more about the origins of some of his favorite models!
Beth McGarey
Great place if you enjoy old time cars.
Shawn Eldredge
The collection is awesome to say the least. Exceptional staff and everything laid out so you can get up and close to these wonderful works of art. Made me feel sad when I see the way cars were crafted then vs. the mass produced cars that all look the same now..
Jen Garry
Huge display of 400+ cars (all run but 4)! Wonderful Father’s Day activity, too much to see in one trip! Loved the Diner to get a quick bite, service there could definitely improve (my one and only complaint in my entire experience)!
Dale Grubb
well thought-out and presented. obvious a lot of time and talent was put into decorating for Christmas.
Pauline Williams
Amazing place. Absolutely blew my mind as soon as I walked through the door!! Start early there is a LOT to see and you will want to spend time.
Randy Dykstra
Gilmore is the largest automobile museum of it's kind in north America. It's not expensive, and the diner has good food.
Cheryl Smith
We are a few hours away from this place, so we don't go as often as we would like. They have a great collection of cars, but they are so much more than a car museum. We went specifically for the winter wonderland event and everything was decorated so pretty with lights, trees and vignettes.
Tim Harris
Great place to visit offen. From car shows to antique dinner car people of all ages will enjoy Gilmore. Camping and dinning or a family bike ride. We really enjoyed driving the old style cars.
Tyler Collard
Gilmore car museum is a very nice place, Staff is wonderful with what they do. Yes, It’s a little expensive but it’s well worth it (in my opinion). Everything is well laid out and explained extremely well! I’ll definitely come back again! Well done!
Scott Wozniak
This was a great experience, lots of different classic cars, great exhibits and information about each car. The grounds were well kept and the buildings were all immaculate. The diner was nice for lunch. My infant daughter and I walked around for a couple hours looking at cars, ate some lunch, walked around outside. Overall a great experience and worth the trip of you're at all interested in cars.
T
A great collection of classic and muscle cars. Knowledgeable docents. Nice layout
The Gertman
One of the best car museums around!!!
Daniel Mirza
This is one of the the most remarkable (and important) car museums you will ever see. It's a bit off the beaten path in terms of location, and hidden away in some of the most beautiful countryside you could ever hope to see, but it is well worth the time and effort to see it. I can't do this museum justice trying to explain its significance, and stellar displays, so I will suggest you look up as much as you can about this treasure, and make plans to see it as soon as you can. You will be glad you did.
Nick Anderson
Very nice and informative museum, not an all day experience during the winter season, but a great 2-3 hour relaxing tour through automotive time
John Bair III
The coolest museum in Michigan. Gift shop was a little over-priced but who says you have to buy.
John D'Avella
The best display for cars before WWII. Every car looks new. Great variety. You have to fight it becoming just a blur, there are just sooooo many cars. You could spend hours studying each one of them. The detail. The variety. It reminds you what we knew 100 years ago.
Mick Randall
A must for any car enthusiast. You will not see everything in just one day so plan on going early. Meticulously created displays as well as some hands on exhibits for the little ones. A hidden gem in Southwest Michigan.
Matt Russell
Alot of fun for all ages was hoping for a larger variety of cars but still great
michael behm
Attended Red Barns show last weekend, there were thousands of cars and to my surprise there were camping trailers and boats too!! Incredible show, worth the drive and $12 to get in.
G T
Loved it! Staff was very friendly.
They are breaking ground on a muscle car building. I would have liked to have seen some '70s pick up trucks maybe 🤷♂️ …
John L
Excellent place to visit. Beautifully restored automobiles. Staff very friendly and helpful. A lot of history has been well preserved.
Bobbi MacPherson
This is NOT your ordinary car museum. Immaculate and unique cars. Too many to count. More than 10 buildings FULL of cars. When we saw this pop up as a suggestion, we thought, meh, ok. Car museum in the middle of nowhere, probably a pole barn with a few cars. NOPE! This place is truly a stunning place to visit. If your family was in the auto industry, which covers most folks in south eastern Michigan, this is a MUST see!!!
Don E
These exhibits are awesome as well as the buildings they are housed in.
Jim Schwab II
It was absolutely excellent. I want tip go back and see more.
Ted Tyler
It's a neat place all kinds of history with auto's, we went to a Mopar show it was.great
Mary G. James
I'm not an old car person, but this is a fun place for anyone to visit...and seems to really wow folks who love old cars. This is the car version of the air zoo. Great place to take an out of town visitor who loves old cars.
Ann Rein
Really great take on oh so many cars. My only complaint is why wasn't there a 1964 Impala SS?? Other than that great fun!
john apple
Lovely museum that documents the rises and falls of Americas rich car history.
Phil Shih
Really cool stuff. Really large and open. Spent a good 2 hours and only saw a small amount.
Blue Water67
Wonderful car museum with a wide variety of antique and classic cars.

The Gilmore Car Museum is incredible! Beautiful cars and friendly staff. A must visit!
kjatherine swoffer galvin
Went for Winter Wonderland. It has so many things to see and do. We went last year and decided that this was going to be our new family tradition. 🎅
Nancy VanWinkle
I took my brother from out of town. I wasn’t sure what we were going to see, but the Gilmore Car Museum was great! We loved seeing the crazy beautiful cars! The gallery was well laid out. Interesting information. I really enjoyed seeing who had either donated or lent the cars to the museum, and where they had come from. It made me realize that these beauties were some couple or person’s baby, and they were willing to share. I also enjoyed all the historical facts about the cars & the buildings. I’d recommend it. We took our 97 year old mom, put her in a wheelchair, and she could enjoy the whole campus without having to see it on her own power. Wonderful!!
Jeff Hecht
Too much to see on one day
Thomas Jang
Awesome place to visit if u love old cars
Muscle car museum is also coming soon
Going back soon to get a better look at it
Nelle Moz
So much to see!!! A must for any car lover.
Kristi Eggers
Great experience! Tour guides were amazing and kept the kids engaged!
Timothy Cox
A hidden gem in rural Michigan.
Mike Norris (Betapixels)
Nice sized car museum hiding out in the middle of Indiana fields. There is a lot to see here. Though note the differences in availability during the colder months - some buildings / exhibits aren’t open. That said, there is still a lot to see during colder weather. Just make sure to come back during the spring / summer.
Amy DeShon
Cars rotate over the years so you miss some of the things you loved seeing before but you see new things that replace them in your heart.
Steve Pawli
Great selection of cars from all era's. Must see for all car lover's.
Bruce Kraft
Great place for viewing classic cars. I wish they could get a Tucker.
herschel brown
Great place for a car guy even better if your not history Frozen in time amazing
David DiMeo
Great place with a lot to do with the family. Make sure you plan to spend the whole because there is a lot to see.

If you like cars, this is the place to go.
matthew kilduff
The cars and grounds are fantastic, even my grand kids 11 and 8 liked, must see
Michael Angell
The Gilmore is a destination car museum in the middle of no-where. The location (very rural) is fine because once you get to the museum, you will easily spend the day touring all the buildings and exhibits. It is great!
Ricardo Aguilar
Nice and beautiful museum, clean and big
Robert Tutsock
Fantastic display of all things automotive. The 4 year old absolutely loved our adventure at the Gilmore Car Museum. Very friendly staff and plenty to do and see!
amanda
I took my father here as a distraction from my mother's health problems. Getting to see him smile and have a couple of hours of enjoyment looking at the cars was priceless. So much to look at and experience here. This is a true gem in the area.
Gary Hildenbrand
Absolutely beautiful facility, top flight cars on display. One thing that stood out, unlike most museums, no ropes, you actually could get up close to enjoy the detail of these incredible classics. Overall, well worth the drive & admission !
Xtreme Dent llc
If you enjoy history of the automobile, there is something for just about everyone at Gilmore. My family and I visited the museum last week and we all enjoyed ourselves (ages 10 to 51) - an amazing place. Very clean, well laid out and the cars are right there in your face! No barriers, just absolute beauty. From Vettes to Tuckers, AMX to Rolls Royce - Even some vintage INDY cars and Salt Flat racers.. 5 out of 5!! God Bless America 🏁🇺🇲
charlene lamothe
How nice super cool alot to see eat first plan on 3 or 4 hour day
Aaron Savage
This place has grown substantially since the last time I was here. The collection is constantly being rotated, so the experience is different every time you vist
Corey Milburn
A bit out of the way for most but that is exactly what makes this location special.. Yes, it is the largest auto museum in the US but there much more to see here than just cars. The grounds are beautiful and food is available on site so plan on spending the entire day.
Robert Ranney
It is amazing that we have a superb car museum tucked away in rural Michigan. I have not been here in 10+ years and was wowed by the new buildings housing many more cars.
Andrew Whitmore
An awesome car museum. My brother and I spent about 7 hours there and still didn't see everything. If you are a car enthusiast and they plan to do it right plan on getting there when it opens on your first day and come back and finish up the second day. If you are like we are and like to read the placards by most of the vehicles which are very informative you will need all of a day and a half if not two full days.
Jeff Smith
All I can say is that this is a hidden jem if you have any interest in old cars. I will add that one day is not enough to do justice to all they have to offer.
Lee f
First time back after a few years for the local tractor show at the Gilmore Car Museum. Notice a lot of new additions and more new additions coming soon.
m Wolf
Wonderful place. Will take you most of a day to see everything.
Corey Knapp
Cars are not my favorite, but we still had fun. There was a German car event/pseudo October fest. We had our 2 year old with us. They had some games to distract our daughter, and we had some tasty German food/BEER! There were some cool cars to see in passing and we burned some energy out of the kid. All in all a win! $16 per person is a bit stiff for a non car enthusiast, but it was a fun walk. The no food/drink is a bit annoying. I understand why, but a bit troublesome when you want to efficiently tour and eat...
Cori Spencer
Going to Gilmore is always a treat. The grounds are beautifully kept and the exhibits are kept fresh and exciting. We always find something new. We especially enjoyed the motorcycle exhibit.
Steven Frantz
Great place to spend a day at if you love the classic cars. Make sure to have lunch in the dinner, and lunch would not be complete, if you don't try some of the homemade pie.
B Evans
This place is awesome if you like cars or love them like I do. The buildings are top notch! They even have air conditioning in the one barn I went into, it didn't years ago. I went for the Relix Riot show which has pre-64 cars and tons of traditional hot rods. You get general admission with the show so you can tour the grounds and barns and buildings full of rare and vintage cars. Go, enjoy, you can spend a whole day there easily. You won't be disappointed, unless you hate cars and looking and lots of them.
Rebecca Burton
5 stars all around. From the staff, to the cleanliness, to the presentation of the vehicles. Always a 5 star visit every time I visit.
Larry Anderson
Fantastic collection of cars and more excellently displayed and maintained.
Jeffery Rucker
I can't say enough about this place. It was excellent. My wife even enjoyed it.
Ashley Clements
We came over from the Thumb for the Mopae car show. This was our first time visiting so we didn't know what to expect. The buildings are beautiful! The grounds are well kept. Since we were entering our Belvedere in the car show we also were able to look at the exhibits. They were well taken care of and very informative! This is a great place to visit for any car enthusiasts!
Casey Gibson
Best car museum I've ever been to!
Igneel 269
Been going to the shows for as long as I can remember. They have a 60-70's display in the barn across from the caffe.
Joy Bergmann
The car collection was great. Some were one of a kind. Enjoyed seeing the cars for over two hours.
Tony Becker
As always another fantastic show at Gilmore, if you haven't ever been to it I strongly recommend you go to the Red Barn spectacular. As the name States it is spectacular!

Mark Anthony
Awesome museum in Michigan! Educates and us fun!
Sverre Olsen
Super interesting place. Well laid out, with lots of beautiful classic vehicles.
Karen Feldpausch
Wonderful classic collection. Can't wait to go back to see what's in the out buildings.
Christopher Cunningham
This is a very nice museum to learn about the history of the American automobile. It spans vehicles from early 1900s, (maybe older) to typically about the 1960s (with some newer things periodically.) I think it is well curated and the people that are there are friendly and knowledgeable, ready to share some neat tidbits that may not be on a plaque. I've bee here multiple times and each time, it still surprises me the beauty and elegance of the older automobiles. They are truly works of art.
Chadwick Arps
Large selection of automobile's, several different building's. Well worth the time to go if you like car museum's
Thomas Moore
Me and the fam surprised Dad big by taking him to Gilmore for Father's Day! The best part? We all dressed up in our Sunday best so he thought we were taking him to a black tie event! He's been wanting to come here for awhile and had a blast! Gilmore Car Museum prides itself with just under 450 cars on 90 acres! Among those 90 acres is 7 independent museums all on one campus. The Museum was actually started in 1966 as a retirement hobby of Donald Gilmore. After collecting enough cars, his wife Genevieve, suggested turning the cars into a museum. What they established is an amazing museum for all generations to enjoy, not only in the States, but the world! People come far and wide to relish and sometimes drool over the collection of cars that Gilmore started. And its not hard to see why! Between the cars, the history, and the interesting people you meet along the way, Gilmore Car Museum offers you so much and is such an icon it stays with you long after your visit.
Deborah Shumard
A delightful surprise of the amount if history located out here. Picturesque ride back in time on the way out. When arriving you know you're there as the property spreads out for miles. It sits back with a stunning appearance from the road. There were people in hand to help when needed. Well stocked gift shop on your way out. Wonderful experienc, highly recommend to go see. Prefect time spent with those you love, sharing history.
Carla Gordon
They have made a lot of changes since I was there last it was a wonderful experience.
David Smittle (Dave)
The Gilmore is so cool! Loved the exhibits, the quality of the collection is breath-taking and the on-site historic diner is a gem! Thanks for a great experience. Visited again, July 2022, even more exhibits have been added!
Tony Olivier
Beautiful location and an amazing selection of autos.
Paul MacBrien
Loved it. Came with a number of guys and we liked the dinner too. Great assembly line replica.
Ramona Harristhal
We had a very enjoyable visit. The museum is unique, with so many beautiful vehicles! It is interesting to see the array of cars, from early models to those of more recent times. The Packard exhibit was exceptional. The perfect condition of the cars on display was amazing.
All of the staff we met were so happy to share their knowledge with us. If you have a chance to visit, do it!
James Abston
One of the best car museum's that I have ever been to!
Jonathan Peckham
One of the best Christmas activities I've been to this year. The only negative is for parents of young children, there's not a ton for little ones, and if your children are like my three year old they will want to touch all the awesome cars.
Melissa White
Wonderful place to take our son for his 19th birthday.
Carl Brundage
Couldn't be happier in the decision to become members. We visit as often as we can. The staff is amazing, the grounds are well kept and for a family of five we never leave disappointed. I love the old cars and the special events are great. It's honestly one of my favorite places to go.
Darrell Brinks
This place is a great amazing place in a way with all the buildings having a different display from first entrance of the main building to the last showing of automotive history cars and trucks to muscel cars and all in-between with in these beautiful tall old barns holding all this automotive history plus there's cycle and motor displays must see prices are low and they have eateries, plan on spending 3-4 hours if you're vehicle anthousist at all you will like p.s. good for kids to.
Todd Allen
Wednesday night car show on the grounds free admission bthe dinner is open & that's a nice attraction ut most of the buildings were closed
Dave Jachym
Fantastic collection! The museum has changed since I started going and almost all for the better. The old barns are awesome way of storing and displaying the cars and the new building is well done. Great functional historical structures as well.
Really enjoy coming even on a rainy day.
The summer are great with the number of classic car festivals usually on the weekends.
Martha Hinson
It's a really fun place to take car enthusiasts. Just make sure to take those dust allergy meds
Jan Hank
Wonderful place!!! I highly recommend this car museum. So much history and interesting facts. There are special events. Check out the website. We also went to the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra right on the property in the evening.

Beautiful area. Great cars. Nice place to spend the day.
Kevin Walter

Denice Putland
This museum was fascinating! The classic cars were in such beautiful condition and we saw cars we had never heard of!! Cars used in movies, or ridden in by the Queen! So interesting!! We spent a few hours here and had lunch at the diner, which had an interesting story, and could have taken more hours but had to travel on. I highly recommend this museum! The grounds were exceptional and beautifully done! Love the old gas station!!
landipoo
Very nice place. Clean, cool old cars, and cool history behind it all. The old car rides and very fun and the people that drove are kind. The staff are ver nice and friendly. The place is really big and there are a lot of cars and even motorcycles. The food is really good as well. The Coney dog is good with some chips and their malts are great. If you have been thinking about going, I would recommend it.
Donald Gradowski
I loved this place and will definitely visit it again.
They had some of the finest examples of the greatest and rarest automobiles that I've seen in one location.
I would highly recommend visiting this place especially when they are having one of their car shows like they did when I visited.
Keith Lauseng
100% fantastic! Grandson can't stop talking about it. Staff was very helpful and had all the answers for a 11 year old child. Would recommend to everyone. Will always look forward to going back to this wonderful place. Mustang show was awesome and the car owners were awesome.
Meghan Blake
A place that is fun and interesting for everyone. And the kids love the classic diner. With their MASSIVE Coney dogs! 🌭 …
Connie Spealman
Had our corporate holiday party at Gilmore's. What a great evening!! They really do a great job of attending to every aspect of our experience for the evening. The Winter Wonderland was going on at the same time do there was plenty to do while still mingling with employees. Everyone had great things to say!!
Doreen Zappia
My first time there. Grounds are beautiful and very easy to walk. Wheelchairs are available if need. Every car imaginable is at this Museaum. The floors are spotless in every building. Staff also visible in every building you walked into ready to share their knowledge of asked
Welder 170
Great old cars and trucks. Newer buildings and older ones. They have great big shows in the warmer weather. Red barn car show and swap meet.
B Rad
Went for the classic motorcycle show but very cool all the easy around.
Many separate buildings focusing on the different car manufacturers.
"More Corvettes here than at the Corvette museum" someone told me but I haven't been there.
Gwen Burns
Very interesting!! Beautiful cars!! Beautiful grounds. Easily able to walk through with 2 people in wheel chairs and 1 on cane. Wide aisles and areas. Do go outside buildings briefly to get to some other buildings. Change exhibits. Very friendly docents. Went in a huge RV, no problem getting there or parking. Didnt go to the cafeteria. Souvenir shop. Very nice experience. Worth the drive from the East side of the state!!
Karma Chlebana
Really fun to see all these cars
Kelly Reed
A lot of cars but a lot are of the early 1900's. Some of the places were not open as promised. Mice running around in the Classic Car Barn. Food limited and pricey. A good day trip for older people as nothing can be touched in the buildings
They had a few cars to get into and one where a person could learn how to start a Model T. They had to of the first airplanes and a cool hearse replica.
M V.G.
Very interesting place to visit. There is quite a variety of automobiles, and information to see.
Phil Martin
Gilmore car museum was amazing. We drove by it for years and never stopped. Lots of beautiful old cars, and automotive history. If you have the time it is worth the drive, and and the time to go through the museum. Good luck and have fun.
Lori Bibler
What a great place to visit! There is definitely something here for everyone.... Including a great lunch.
Carl Walls
Incredible facility, has cars you would be hard-pressed to find anywhere else. Plus additional buildings being built all the time with car clubs to showcase more of specific types of cars. Make sure to check their website to see if special events like chauffeured rides or car shows are happening - those are a nice bonus
Debora Durbin
Everyone should take a trip here if you love vintage old and cars from the 1800 to a few 2020 but there are cars where only 1 in thw world were ever made. It's a great day to spend time. You can x
Camp they give you rides in vintage cars there is a 1941 diner there you can eat at. Handicapped accessible. Great staff tour at your leasuire.
lynn brown
We arrived at 2:30 so we only had 2 hours, we were charged full admission price for our short time available. We had visited the museum before so we were able to see what we were most interested in, it was still very disappointing. We had a reservation to camp on the grounds so we could head south early the next morning so we drove out to the field to plug in and found the other 2 campers had sprawled out their sites. The electric outlets for campers are all on one big panel so if you want power you have to huddle together, agIn disappointing.
americanrvtrippers Jim&Liz
Great car museum fantastic display of classic cars
Christian VZ
This place was awesome with cars from the 1920's forward. Plus it is built like a small town with streets, gas stations, car dealerships and barns full of treasure d vehicles. And it is hidden in the beautiful landscape of farm country.
Tristan Sayers
Wonderful place. The buildings are as interesting as the cars. Everything is incredibly accessible, walk right up to the vehicles and stick your head inside accessible.
First time visiting but will not be the last. Highly recommended to any car guy or gal.
Bob Pawloski
Had a great time. Love seeing all the vintage vehicles. The drive out there was spectacular. If coming from grand rapids, take Yankee Spring road down. Some beautiful country, lots of lakes and curvey roads.
Rachel snyder
Super fun experience! Lots of walking, so a stroller and comfy shoes are a must!
jewel mckenzie
This was an incredible place to visit if you like old cars or are just a history buff. There were some beautiful cars with great stories at this museum. The fee, which I can't remember to get in to see this place was well worth it. We had only 3 hours in which to see the museum. It wasn't enough time, you need an entire day to see it properly. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely make more time to see it properly.
A Guida
Wonder auto museum, great setting.
The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars in the limited number of Muscle cars on display. A Muscle car building has been announced but not started yet.
If you can, come on a day when there is a car show. Even more cars to enjoy.
Brian King
A large collection of beautiful ancient cars. The grounds are nicely kept. The staff there is very friendly.
The variety of vehicles is amazing. You're likely to see any brand of car that you love to explore.
Even though most of the vehicles are indoors is best to visit in pleasant weather. The property is quite large and you will be walking from building to building.
Jodabugs Jodabugs
Love this place it was the best place ever! Me and my family went here had a blast! We went here for my dad for Father's day for him, be sure to wear tennis shoes and clothes that are comfortable, as you have 90 acres to walk and see a ton of cars! A lot of history here, it is worth the drive here, even if you live far away, everyone should come here - you won't be disappointed!
JA Strand
First time at the Museum, and we joyed it very much. You really need a day to see everything. But, we had a good time.
Maurice Wiener
Best car museum I have ever been to extremely well taken care of place several buildings. Worth the drive.
William Boquist
This is a great museum in a wonderful setting. Watch for special events like the all-English or all-German car shows. The cars are beautiful and the owners are happy to share stories of the ups and downs of their hobbies.
Jennifer Moody
Attended the Gilmore Car Museum's Model T Driving Experience and had fantastic instructors and programs. Then had a chance to explore the museum and wow! So much to cover and what a wide breadth of a collection. Didn't have enough time to truly take it in so will have to make another trip.
Diane Fogel
Cool upgrades grounds. There's a main street with a real Cadillac dealer. If course there are the barns full of vintage cars. They have a full blown performance stage upon which the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra performed Saturday night with headliner Bradford Marsalles. Awesome! Beautiful weather made for a delightful outdoor concert. Great to be back to "normal".
Adam Li
I was great! Due to Covid there was a few barns not open to the public, but with what is available to the public there was a lot of great cars to look at. Admission Price was good at $15 a person, and friendly staff. I'll definitely go back again
Jerry H.
All I can say is WOW. This place is so awesome and the cars are WOW. Definitely a place to take your family and see all the cool things they have . Very cool Car Museum. Will definitely go back again this year. They are having a car show on our anniversary.
Elizabeth Holesinger
Went on a tour with Chris yesterday. He did an amazing job and was knowledgeable about the cars.
