Reviews of Molly Brown House Museum
Angelica Casas
The Molly Brown House Museum is a lovely place to go if you are in Denver. The house is bigger than it looks and everything is kept nice and orderly. The displays and interior overall contain a combination of original and restored segments that leave the house almost exactly as it was when it was first built.
My sister and I took the 1 hour tour so we could hear more about Margaret Brown, the former owner of the house and survivor of the titanic. It was nice to hear about someone with such a long and wonderful history and walking through the house gave us a great feeling of what kind of people lived in it.
I'm not one for too much history compared to my sister, but even I thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent inside. The house is beautiful and the little blurbs of information regarding everything in it is very useful.
We thought we would spend about an hour here but ended up staying for four. It was an amazing experience and I hope to bring the rest of my family to come see it next time we visit.

I love when places offer a college student discount!! Molly Browns house self guided tour was good although I think more interaction with the house itself might help. They had boxes with information and items you could touch and a listening tour where your phone would talk you through things but it didn’t suit how I like to see museums. Other then that everything was great and I like the very unique items in the gift shop.

Great little taste of the past without feeling sterilized or distant. It was fantastic being able to walk through the house as if I were a guest and not a tourist.
Buy tickets online a day in advance or risk not getting in at all! Toilets are available at the register but not in the house itself, so plan accordingly. Gift shop was a fun little stop afterwards.
If you wind up having to wait to get in (as we did) there's a comfy little local coffee shop at the end of the block where you can relax until your timed entry comes up.

Extremely cool piece of world history that found its direction to our nearby Denver history, the visit was somewhat full for the size of the house yet everything thing else was perfect. Pleasant gift shop and the local escort was phenomenal. Truly partook in our selves! Should be back once more.

Nice people and friendly people you see smiles everywhere nice antiques in the house nice to hear the history of the house like it cause is related to the titanic this museum is a lot of talk about it. You can explore the house on your own or with a group. Have nice experiences when I go. I have been going every year to see it since I move to Colorado in 1998. Will recommend to go see it.

This museum was fun, informative and gave good insight into a distinct time in Denver's history and one of its upper class socialites. The tour took about an hour, even with us listening to the prerecorded information about each room. It is a quick little museum but worth the trip.
Todd Sproule
Delightful home lovingly restored to the early 1900s that gives a hint of society life in Denver during the life of Molly Brown. There is an excellent self-paced audio tour. Excellent gift shop too with Titanic and suffragette related items. Very helpful staff too. A real highlight of my visit to Denver.
Russ Houston (Zazz)
Very cool piece of world history that found its way to our local Denver history, the tour was a little full for the size of the house but everything thing else was great. Nice gift shop and the tour guide was excellent. Really enjoyed our selves

We attended the Victorian Horrors, which was a lot of creepy fun. The actors were amazing, as were the story choices. We definitely want to come back to tour the house. I think everything was organized so well, and the tarot reader was a splendid touch. Thank you to all who put this together ❤️

It was nice. We did a self guided tour. Took our time while taking lots of cool pictures. I was soooo excited when I saw a hat box that was the exact same as the one I bought at a Goodwill in West Palm Beach Fla! It was just a different color.. Visiting the Molly Brown House Museum was definitely the highlight of my trip to Denver.
Jim R
The house is a beautiful historic place to visit. The staff and volunteers are amazing. They provide specific details about the house and Margaret Brown. As a native of Colorado, I highly recommend a visit and for those of you interested in her story as state visitors, please put this museum on your calendar while you visit Denver!

This museum was so much fun. I learned a lot about the unsinkable Molly Brown from the Titanic. It was really cool to learn about her life in Denver after the sinking of the Titanic. I'm going to look for her book that she wrote about what really happened on the Titanic.
Angel Accardi
Loved it!! Besides the awesome historical aspect the staff is both knowledgeable and friendly and just added to the overall experience.
The self guided tour was fantastic and provided so much information.
The gift shop is amazing.
Remember to bring a water bottle as it can get HOT, but I thought of it as being immersed in the experience that Molly and family would have on a summer day.
Joseph Hoover
An interesting museum with a fair amount of Titanic memorabilia. House is full of antiques, but I think many of them may be reproductions or not actually owned by the Brown family. I thought that our tour guide did a great job of telling us about the house and about J. J. & Margaret (a/k/a Mollie) Brown. I felt that my time was well spent taking this tour. It took about an hour to complete the tour and do some "on my own" exploring.
BOUDRIA AHMED
Great experience it was great to see a historical house with so much story I highly recommend to get the tour with the guide it's totally worth it because he knows a lot about the house the neighborhood and miss Molly.
The place has a restroom and a gift shop too.
Kelley Richardson
The house is beautiful. She was such an amazing woman. There was so much to learn. We were there on the 110th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. They had extra exhibits. I recommend the audio tour but ask questions, the guides can give you even more info. They have reservations and timed entry.
Rick
Very cool, interesting place with antiques everywhere. Interesting to see how people lived back then. We did the guided tour, our host was very knowledgeable and welcoming to the space.
Jacob Tharakan Chacko
What a courageous lady! Multi talented, rich and concerned about those not lucky. If in Denver on a visit or a resident, a visit to this place is very much due. I'd you are a resident try and grab a spot for the high tea
Mary Baugh
Eck! I've loved Molly brown since I was 5, so getting to explore her mansion was a dream come true and then some. The architecture is magnificent, and the way the Browns decorated their home to reflect not only where their fortune came from, but to also reflect their travels. The home has a sweet smell coming from the kitchen too.
It's a look into Molly Brown, the Titanic, events surrounding it's famous sinking and around that era. History of over a hundred years back. If you ever go to Denver Colorado I suggest checking out this slice of history.
Cara McGee
Love love LOVED our time here! We didn’t want to leave, there was so much to look at and take in. The tour guides seem like they truly love what they do. And I had no idea how much of a badass Margaret Brown was! 😍👏🏼 …
keeshini
Would recommend buying tickets online, since you can enter the place only during the reservered time slot. The tour took about an hour.
This muesuem was fun and informative. Great insight into Molly Brown's lifetime.
Jesse Richards
We were excited to see this museum in our Google maps. It does not disappoint. The care and detail of the restoration was amazing. There is a great self guided tour and staff members who are willing to answer any questions. I highly recommend this as a tour stop in Denver.
Betty NvK
Fantastic experience! Visit the beautiful house and museumshop of Margaret (Molly) Brown, Titanic survivor and political activist in the historic district near State Capitol in Denver Colorado. Book a guided tour or a selfguided audio tour with your phone. And don't forget to book a guided walking tour through the historic district with amazing stories of all the beautiful houses, that takes 1,5 hour. The same day (10.15-11.45 a.m.), or another day! ($ 18 in 2022)
Angie M
My first time here. Nice place to go visit if you want to know a bit more about one of the Titanic survivors. The admission if you are not a Colorado resident is $16 per adult which I thought it was a bit pricey.
Myrha Miranda
Beautiful vision of vintage being. An amazing crew working it. Very descriptive with what is going on. If you like history it is a palace showing it.
Tara Roehl
They have a great homeschool program once a month with different themes - we love hanging out inside Margaret's home and learning about history!
Courtney Cunningham
Absolutely loved my time here!
100% recommend getting the guided tour of the Brown house, and if you can take the Titanic tour. So informative, and I loved every second of my tour.
Only thing-- the stairs going down are the WORST but take your time. Tiny staircases for tiny 19th century people.
Grace Clayton
Really beautiful home of an amazing lady, great audio tour and explaination of the rooms and victorian era. The knowledgeable guides changed my understanding of what mattered in that era: to be well educated, to be wealthy, and to be well travelled, which is all echoed in the design choices of the house, and the hobbies of the family, such as displaying rare souvenirs and hunting trophies (polar bear rug, etc). Plus somewhat highlighted how rare Molly was for her time regarding her philanthropy and women's rights advocacy. Great of you're looking for a day out with friends, but not necessarily fun for kids. The ethical taxidermy Halloween decor was great & restoration of the home to how it was when the family lived there were incredible. Gift shop was ok, but not too much Molly brown specific stuff, more generalized women's rights stuff, & all VERY pricy.
Larry Shulman
This is a really good example of how a historic home can be preserved & restored. Great self guided tour. Guides were located at strategic locations throughout the house to retell history and great stories. Well worth taking the time to visit this historic home.
Deborah Malakowsky
Beautifully restored. Many artifacts that belonged to the family. Very informative about the real people behind the stories. Margaret Brown was a force to be reckoned with.
Harvey Flowers
It was a great experience to learn a bit more about the Unsinkable Molly Brown. She was such an inspiring activist and philanthropist.
Denny Brenny
An awesome little museum nestled in the heart of Denver. A lot of history about Molly and her family.
Narine Harut
This is one of the places you must visit when you are visiting Denver. It was our first time in Denver, so I got my tickets online, everything was very well organized and maintained, very informative employees/volunteers, house was beautifully restored and preserved, big thanks to people who be able to do all that, and to people who continue to work hard to preserve for future.
Matthew Bloomfield
Such a great experience and totally worth the visit. Take the guided tour! The guides are wonderful and explain so much of about the details of the home you may not notice. I came away with a totally different and better understanding of Margaret Brown and her husband, JJ. It was really inspiring and made me re-examine my life and the impact and legacy I am leaving.
Lorena Lupercio-Diaz
Spontaneously visited this lovely museum while in the area and fell in love with it! Turned out to be a most perfect Halloween activity! They decorated and curated the space wonderfully. The staff here is so friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about their work in preserving this fantastic piece of history. I highly recommend visiting and don't miss the gift shop!

It's no secret I love History. So, while I was in the Denver, Colorado area, I toured the home of The Unsinkable Margaret (Molly) Brown. You definitely step back in time to the early 1900's. Molly was just 5 feet 3 inches in height, but her persona was something to look up to. The home is furnished with many of the original furnishings and even though the house has a total of 7500 square feet, the rooms are not that large and spacious. (I still wonder, to myself, how women went up and down the stairs with those dresses.) The decor of these homes is always fascinating, but you have to remind yourself, it was fashionable at the time. Please be reminded that during that time period the Browns had the best of everything. It's well worth it to tour this American Treasure, because that's exactly what it is. This structure was the home of an American heroine, who was a lot more than her Titanic fame.
Malcolm Weir
Interesting restored house giving a view of a bygone age and allowing you to get close to a person in history who you have seen on the screen
Joshua Leach
Great museum. Let’s you know there’s more to her story than the Titanic. And the gift shop is awesome.
Cherrybust
We definitely enjoyed this moment. Just try, it's absolutely better in your own experience.
Ed Malphrus
Very informative visit! We learned so much more about Margaret and the family, other than just her relation to the Titanic. A very much advised visit.
bobbi justice
The history that is contained in the house is amazing! The life stories of the family are touching and inspiring. Such a beautiful home to visit.
Shari Burns
Beautiful home, lots of details to look at. Definitely worth the trip. Found on-street parking just around the corner. Buy tickets online in advance if you want a human lead your. Otherwise you just do self guided with a booklet of details and history. Still good that way.
Jerald Keif
What a beautiful home! There is so much more to see than the gorgeous construction. Don't forget the Carriage house and education center in the basement! The QR codes to scan in each room allow you to receive a personal tour of the house at your leisure.. brilliant!
N T
We bought tickets for the guided tour which made it so much more meaningful to visit. There are very few if any facts on plaques displayed in the house. Nice gift shop with lots of options for books and souvenirs.
Daniel Jimenez
It was cool. Did the self guided tour you get to wonder the house at your own pace. Also you can circle back to rooms you might want a second look at. Dont forget to bring ear buds for audio portion of the tour. Watch out for ghost cats 🐈 …
Donnie Darko
Great experience! The history is amazing. There's more to this woman than just a valiant Titanic story! So important to the history and development of Denver. Took about 45 minutes to make it through. The covid safety measures they have in place are excellent. The guides are so helpful and friendly! Well worth the price and the trip.
Rebeca Salas
Beautiful home but pricey admission fee. My favorite part was the center in the basement that focused more on Molly Brown's life as an activist and feminist
Josh Pagano
Wonderful piece of women's history, civil rights' history, architectural history, titanic history, and American history. Def worth checking out if you're a fan of these things!
Holli Garcia
Margaret "Molly" Brown has been my idol since I was a young child. Waking they'd her house was unbelievable. I don't really know what to say without ruining the tour. It's well worth going. I suggest the guided; you get much more information about the family and house. BEAUTIFUL!!
matthew melton
Very cool. Staff were totally cool and everything on display was magnificent!
Eryn Grover
We went to the museum for their Victorian Stories night. It was amazing!! Touring the house and listening to spooky stories told by incredible actors was the highlight of Spooky SZN for our family. Fantastic experience and I highly recommend it!
Mark Wong
Super neat historic museum if you’re into Titanic history. You can go through the 3-story museum with a digitally guided tour that you can conveniently play on your phone. The staff was really helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
Cami Garcia
I've wanted to go to the Molly Brown House Museum since I was a child. I finally went on my birthday this year. I feel like coming as an adult gave me the satisfaction I needed. I was able to truly appreciate the beauty of her home and also the history of the house. If you are in Denver, it is a must!!
David Nold
Such a great experience. Toured on 9/1 at 11 am. Not remembering guides name but she was outstanding. Lived in Denver 10 years and never visited. If you like history you’ll love this.
Matt & Kiersten
A fun museum with a great look into the life of Denver’s own Molly Brown.
Walk from room to room through the old home to get a real-as-possible look into the life of the Brown family.
I do wish there was more focus on the Titanic - or at least why she’s always referred to as the unsinkable Molly Brown. We tried to ask, but didn’t get much of a response.
Covid protocols include downloading an app to listen to an audio version of the tour. It was good, but you hear echos of the recordings from other groups in other rooms throughout the house.
It’s an interesting tour for older kids, but I wouldn’t bring younger ones who might grab at the antiques or slip into some of the blocked off areas.
Christian Gamboa
I really enjoyed the museum and thought everyone was helpful and kind, but I think it was in extremely poor taste that there was an area for photo ops with life jackets as props considering there are still descendants of Titanic passengers who might very well visit. I would strongly urge the staff to reconsider and pull these props.
Stephanie Hammer
Just love anything Titanic. Great way to spend an hour. Enjoyed the tour.
Britney Fuqua
We always hit the Molly Brown house on free days. It is only free to local residents. They have such a cute gift shop. It is very amazing to see her home. The employees are a little stiff but it's a fun experience. I would say the tour took about an hour.
Jesi Sola Konz
It's a great place with history to visit.
Heather Rice
This was pretty fun! A lot of history, and you can listen to the guided tour on headphones at your own pace from room to room. Very friendly staff, and a neat gift shop.
Peter Robinson
We did the audio tour and had trouble getting it to load on my Samsung phone. Worked fine on my wife's I phone.
Sarah Kollars Coleman
Sam was out docent and she was the most knowledgeable tour guide I’ve ever had. She was very easy to understand, had great stories and knew the answers to everyone’s questions. It was a lovely time.
Susan Boone
I was here several years ago when the city historical society first bought the house. it was a MESS! but when I went back recently-OMG! it is AMAZING! it is GORGEOUS! the staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. there is a great selection of gifts in the carriage house/gift shop. I will definitely be ordering some holiday items and other stuff, in the future. A DIFINITE MUST when you come to Denver! Or even live here!
Stephanie Wilkinson
Make sure to bring water, headphones if you are doing the guided tour and go early if you are the last people of the day if you want to shop in the gift shop
Rachel Brooks
I enjoyed the guided tour! The volunteer guide was knowledgeable and shared interesting tidbits about Margaret Brown's life story throughout the home.
Alyce Olson
This house is very well kept, appointed with some original furniture along with other pieces from the time period. Filled with knowledgeable guides who love to share the history and stories of Molly Brown.
ivan koshenko
Wonderful gift shop, so beautiful and historic, just like the house. I started buying gifts for friends and will definitely go back before Christmas. Incredibly nice staff
GG Ford
So interesting and so much to explore & learn. A hidden gem as far as I'm concerned. What a life well-lived!
Don't pass on the gift shop! Amazing finds in there!!
brooklyn bloom
Everyone who works here is soooo nice! And yes the tour is totally worth every penny. The house is so v fabulous and every detail is so thoughtfully done. Wish I could live here!
Victor Wang
A fantastic museum that is an amazing preservation of a house built in the 1880s. It not only has immaculate restorations of furniture, it also contains recreations of what Victorian Denver life was like. Originally built with electricity, it’s quite unique with small hallways and multiple floors in a closed layout with few open air of multi story foyers.
Went during Denver arts week which happens during the first Saturday of November where multiple art museums graciously open up their doors for free between 5-10pm. This day happened to be extremely popular with a line along the street and a 20 minute wait but it’s well worth it for an amazing tour of the entire house. No pictures within the house which is a bit of a bummer but the museum that is located underneath the main house is quite cool. Well worth a visit with friendly staff and reasonable admission prices on most other days.
Scott Ford
Absolutely amazing. A, 'MUST-SEE,' for anyone with a passion for history or historical architecture! Very informative tour guides and very well-done Plan B in place for COVID compliance.
Amber Hale
The Molly Brown house tour was amazing and especially at Halloween time with all of the cool decorations! Our tour guide was lovely and informative. We got to learn so much about Molly Brown and all the great things she did in her life as well as some great tidbits about Denver history. I recommend this to locals and visitors alike!
Dermot Walsh
The family home of the unsinkable Molly Brown. Gift shop at the end of the tour
Stevie A.
The tour guide was really informative and very knowledgeable about Margaret Brown. I loved learning about her story and the large roles she played during her life. The tour guide was also very friendly and able to answer questions. I enjoyed learning about the home and significance of certain pieces. The home is very beautiful. I definitely recommend a visit!
Jenna Loesch
This place was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of our tour guide, but she was absolutely lovely. She had white hair and a beautiful upturned nose, and I really just want her to narrate every tour I ever go on. She taught me so much about the wonderful Margaret Brown. This is honestly the number one thing I would recommend to people visiting Denver.
Karen Corsello
Awesome tour! I was happy to have my misconceptions about "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" cleared up. Very organized and efficient crowd management. I highly recommend taking this tour while in Denver. If you have a teacher or military ID you can get a discount.
Ashley Moon
Absolutely amazing place to visit. The women that walk around and answer questions were so informative and gave us many stories to enjoy while walking around. Definitely a must see
Danielle Oakes
I bought our tickets ahead of time online to ensure our spots. This restored historical gem is within walking distance of the Capitol and downtown. The tour guide was full of details, and I think I would have been happy with a two hour tour because Mrs. Brown's life was so interesting! It was fun to hear about her real life compared to the movie The Unsinkable Molly Brown. I would have liked to seen more placards with details about each room.
Lila Capra
Great activity to do in Denver for people interested in history or especially the story of the titanic. Got a free pass with the Jeffco Library culture pass.
Shelley Andersen
What a gem! We came upon this museum by chance and it became one of our favorite stops. The docent was incredible and the home has been lovingly preserved. You can reserve your tour times online. We were fortunate enough to get a spot as a walk in, but I would make a reservation to be safe.
Angela Tanis
What a fun little tour! The house is incredible and the story of Margaret Brown is neat. We had time to kill while in Denver so we started doing a little searching of things to do when touring the house of Margaret Brown came up. Did a little searching on who she was and was like "I had no idea! Lets go!" Id you don't know who Margret Brown is, she was one of the survivors of the Titanic. She is even portrayed in the Movie. (Not accurately, but you will have to go do the tour to know why I say that.)
Karla Glisky
Wonderful fantastic would visit again
Rocky Crocker
Great tour, amazing to see still has some original items to the house, Gwen was a fantastic enthusiastic tour guide. Those that find issue should learn to research the tour such as when to get there, how to go about parking (cause parking downtown in any big city sucks), times and locations to be at, do your research cause its not the fault of the house and staff if you get it wrong, pay attention and read the website it tells you everything, this is definitly something I think a visitor should do.
THANK YOU GWEN.
Korrine Rudderow
I'm a huge fan of history and especially the history of the Titanic. This is a beautiful home and they're constantly doing maintenance on it and fixing it up. I was bummed that only a very small percentage of the furniture and accessories of the house is original but our guide did point out each piece that was actually Mrs.Browns. Awesome architecture and overall beautiful house. Street parking, gift shop is small but super cute, beautiful bathroom inside the gift shop.
Nina
We had such a great time that we are already planning to go back. We were about 30 minutes early which worked out perfect because the gift shop was really cool. Our Docent was amazing! She was a great story teller and very lively in her words. If you enjoy history, antiques, decor or just curious how the rich lived back then, I highly recommend checking out the Molly Brown House Museum. If you're more interested in the Titanic, then I recommend the gift shop which is behind the house, no ticket needed to enter.
Jessica Barnes
This was an amazing experience, even with social distancing measures we were able to see everything. The staff/volunteers/docent were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The house is beautiful and the gift shop has a great variety of items. I think I learned more about women's suffrage today than I ever did in school.
Larry Brooke
Wonderful tour opportunity if your in Denver. We have previously toured the Titanic museum in Branson so we really enjoyed learning about "Molly" (Margret), her personal life, husbands success and a few details about her two children. The furnishings are time dated accurately and some of the furniture is original. Great story and our tour guide was exceptionally knowledgable.
Addison
So much wonderful history here. A must see when visiting Denver. Margaret Brown was an amazing strong intelligent woman. The tour guides are wonderful. She did so much for others, and is not just known for being the unsinkable molly brown, but her activism.
Courtney
While I was thrilled to see the inside of the house, I was disappointed with the actual tour. I felt the information was kind of generic and I wished it was a bit more specific/educational. I enjoyed my visit, I just wish it was a better tour. We also couldn’t see the 3rd floor because they were doing training. Why have training in a place where you’re preventing visitors from going there?
Nikki Zoufaly
I'm so in love with Margaret Brown, she was a remarkable woman and this little gem is a worthwhile stop with in Denver. Beautiful house and they did a nice job recreating her world here. They deck the halls for Christmas too ♡ quite lovely!
Kristen
Amazing piece of history. The tour guides are very informative and the house is simply amazing. Definitely a must see if in the Denver area!
Hana M
Love the staff there, one was so friendly and helpful, she introduced us some stories about Molly. If you want to know each section of the house, don't forget to download the PDF !!!
Debra Johnson
I do not like reading history in a book. In person it is a whole new story. All I really knew about Molly Brown is that she survived the Titanic. Wow was I impressed by her life story. Did you know she never even went by Molly? Did you know that she had 2 kids and after her own death they did not inherit her house? Did you know that the house was going to be torn down in 1970? Did you know that she saved and improved the lives of so many people? When in town this is a must see.
Sharon Lyons
This museum was awesome! There is so much more to Molly (Margaret) Brown! Please take the tour! She was and still is a great inspiration to women! Certainly lived before her time!
Kieron Torres
The docents are wonderful. I really enjoyed the introduction inside the foyer. The house had been beautifully returned to how it was when she lived there. They were so lucky with the furniture and a few other rechecked items. One item was even rescued from a vintage store! Remember to visit the gift store! The caramels are so good. We were able to get tickets for about 30 minutes after we arrived, no problem, but it's easier to get them online in advance. You will need to go to the gift shop to get the online tickets turned into a real ticket.
Sheree Hall
Interesting tour that gives the true story of the unsinkable Molly Brown. She had been a woman way before her time. The home is well preserved and has plans for more renovation.
Jason O. Nungesser
I'm a huge fan of history an non well-behaved women so this was a treat for me. And, since I arrived when I did the tour was just me and the tour guide which meant I got to ask all the questions I wanted, even though she seemed to want to rush through the house.
In the basement there's a running documentary on Margaret "Molly" Brown. The tour doesn't bring in any new information than the documentary unless you ask questions. Otherwise, if you hear one you've heard the other.
Deena Harris
Great walk through time! Our tour guide was apropos and knowledgeable, but cannot remember her name for anything. Reddish-hued hair. Just trying to give her props!
Erin McCabe
We were lucky enough to arrive and check this place out on Margaret's birthday-we had no clue! It was a super informative tour that exemplified the woman's suffage movement in Colorado. So many things I learned and such a beautiful space with wonderful staff!
#shepherdgirl Neasa Barnes
Highly recommend it's worth the visit if you love history....or are a Titanic enthusiast.
Jim Mason
Wonderful place to see and learn about unsinkable Molly Brown. Staff is wonderful. We had a photo shoot for my daughters engagement.
Christine L Gallegos
The historical value of the house is amazing. The details of the antiques are fun to see. How "modern" the house was in it's day. The house staff then were rock stars! To manage that house for the family, very impressive.
Sharon Simonetti
We did the self-guided tour.. It allowed us to take our time and pay attention to detail. The guide was full of interesting facts about the house, Molly's life and the Titanic disaster. I felt the value for the price was reasonable. I felt like I got good value for the price.
Oana M
We did the Molly Brown House Tour and really enjoyed it. I recommend getting there early getting your tickets and then spend your time waiting for your tour to start in the basement watching the documentary film and reading the material.
N M
The home of Molly Brown aka the unsinkable Molly brown who survived the sinking of the titanic 🚢 very interesting tour would rrecommend
Rachael Heistuman
We loved visiting the Molly Brown House! Surpassed my expectations. We spent about 2 hours roaming the house. There's so much history and well-presented information, including the digital guide you can carry on your phone to read about each room. Don't miss the exhibit in the basement of the home that tells more details about the Titanic - including some stories you don't often hear in the mainstream retellings of the fateful ship. It was a highlight of our trip to Denver!
Noel Butler
If you are a history buff, Denver has a lot to offer, but the Molly Brown House is a must. The house is a wonderfully preserved example of the turn of the century amenities.
Keith Tilford
An interesting spot to visit, both for the historical restoration and the story of Margaret Brown (apparently only the newspapers called her Molly). Our tour guide was great and we enjoyed seeing the house decorated for Christmas.
Nich Gee
It's an educational and interesting experience both in terms of learning about the era in which Margaret Brown lived/life in the early 20th century, as well as the events surrounding the Titanic. I didn't use the audio guide but read the pamphlet prior to my self-guided tour and that was sufficient. Staff is on hand to answer questions even for the self-guided tour. Though effort is made to accommodate those with mobility issues, navigating the stairs outside and inside may be challenging to some.
Catherine Manely
Cool place but we visited on memorial day and it wasn't open so sad
Steve Cook
Recommend the guided tour. House is beautifully restored.
Linda VanBuren
Fascinating historical home to visit. There are scheduled tours with docents. They share information about Molly Brown who she was, how she lived, and what kind of a person she was. Some information about the house itself. Recommend buying tickets online to schedule your. Reasonably priced.
Sarah
This place was beautiful, the staff were very nice and it was so rich with history
Josh Wilson
I really enjoyed my tour of the Molly Brown House. Last time I was in Denver it was closed so I'm glad I finally got inside. I found the staff to be very friendly and knowledgeable.
Mark Harvey
We enjoyed visiting the museum; several pieces inside the house were original. The attention to detail as to how the house may have looked back in the early 1900's was well done. Our tour guide, however, could have been more knowledgeable and lacked experience, but she did a passable job.
Ann Boehm
Being a fan of Margaret - not Molly- Brown this tour was a highlight during our recent trip to Denver.. Our tour guide was well-informed, entertaining, and was happy to share all the information about Margaret Brown that has been amassed. Truly impressive was the philanthropist that Margaret Brown was. She rallied for all funds for her fellow survivors of the Titanic as well as being a fundraiser throughout her entire life. The basilica in downtown Denver is certainly one of the recipients of funds raised. A True American rags to riches, then back to rags story this 45 minute tour through the Margaret Brown house is definitely a good use of your time. Don’t overlook the fine detailing in the house- amazing workmanship to be sure!
Matt Payne
Excellent tour! The house is in excellent shape and the self guided tour is easy and worth doing. Very knowledgeable hosts on each floor as well.
Vanessa Irene
It was very informative seeing how Molly Brown lived. The house is very well preserved and the tour guides were very nice ladies.
Amanda Gehris
Fascinating, I've lived here most of my life and learned a lot about the city and an exceptional woman. The staff were very knowledgeable and had quick answers for my more detailed inquiries, and were clearly passionate about the house and its subject.
David Costanza
Very nice house museum in a historic neighborhood. Our tour guide, Maverick, was very good and the house itself interesting. If you like historic homes of interesting people, definitely worth a stop.
Tim Macalino
I always LOVED the story of the unsinkable Molly Brown! When I was in Denver, I had to make it a point to visit! So happy to check it off my bucketlist!! ☺
The tour was about an hour and I enjoyed it as well as the energy of the guide!!
Do visit the museum when you're in Denver!!
Ashley Roberts
I had a wonderful tour of the molly brown house during my stay in Denver. I was fortunate to go during a time that there wasn’t too much people taking tours and was the only person taking a tour at the time. It was a more comfortable atmosphere that way and Sind I didn’t have to share my guide I feel like I got a lot more out of the tour. My guide was a wonderful lady who definitely knew her stuff, and made sure i enjoyed my tour. The house itself is full of history and held a lot of meaningful material to learn from, not to mention beautiful. I definitely came away with a new found respect for “molly” Brown. The tour Was inexpensive but they also offer student discount as long as you bring your student ID. Overall it was very educational and enjoyable.
Dave Meister
Beautiful home, wonderful Museum, great history. It's a shame that the basement near the bathrooms smelled like a nursing home. If it wasn't for that I would have given it five stars
Kimberly Martin - McClure
This house is gorgeous and Margaret "Molly" Brown was a fascinating person. We enjoyed looking at the lovely house and listening to the guide tell the story of Mrs. Brown's life.
Black Screen Media
Beautiful location, great history, overpriced ticket for what it is sadly. Not sure who they expect to be able to afford $16 per ticket to take a self guided tour through an old home. Google her instead and do a walk by of the front of the house - it’s enough.
Elisabetta Murray
Very interesting woman, self guided audio tour available, knowledgeable staff on hand, if you are in the area you should definitely go there!
Stephanie Vincent
It was so neat to see how they lived back then! Our guide was so wonderful; she had answers for everything, and pointed out every difference from modern living. Very good for us!
Sally H
Fascinating! There was so much more to Margaret Brown than I realized. Our tour guide did a great job, and they have a nice gift shop too.
austinzoe007
I recommend doing the guided tours. They let you explore on your own after as well.
Jeffrey Whipple
Great museum if you are a Titanic fan. You can purchase reserved timed tickets on the website although we just showed up without needing reservations. You can purchase tickets there.
D M
Dark in the house, but the history is unsinkable. I love museums. Get ready to read the info on the rooms and family. I could of stayed there all day.
Les Harris
Time capsule and interesting facts about the time and Brown family. The gold walls were over the top.
Doug Sellers
Amazing historical venue. Very knowledgeable staff and friendly. Quite impressed with Ms Browns extensive library. Beautiful furnishings.
Dan Edwards
Great museum to learn about on of Colorado’s most interesting women. Definitely someone who used her wealth in unique ways to tackle problems she saw with the world.
Brian Smith
Fascinating place. There was more to it than I expected. So thankful that this grand old house has been restored to as it was in Molly Brown's time!
Shelly Kress
Amazing & I enjoyed the sights, smells, the tour guide was so helpful and just a kind soul .I would recommend everyone go visit the Molly Brown house.
Amanda Dyck
We went with our young children, and we all enjoyed it. My daughter wanted to learn more about the Titanic after our visit.
Bobby Maverick
Our tour guide, Erin, was one of the best tour guides we've ever had anywhere. The house is just fantastic! We loved hearing the real story of Margaret (Maggie) Brown and how it differed from the Molly legend that was mostly invented after her passing. History Colorado does such a great job with each of their sites, and this one is no exception. We had the unexpected after-tour bonus of a meet-and-greet with "Ms. Brown" herself and she was just as lovely and gracious as could be. We thoroughly loved this adventure and can't wait to come again soon!
Penny King
Fun stop. Worth the ticket price to see some of Denver’s history. Don’t skip the gift shop or basement. The audio made the self guided tour so much more interesting.
Penny King
I am a history lover! So this is the kind of stuff I look for in everyplace I visit. Get your tickets online. They were reasonable and the self guided audio added to the experience.
Deloris Earley
We did a self tour with information to read about each room. There was also some labels and posters with history as well. Very informative tour.
Tatyana Fedorikhina
Lovely tour and interesting family history. The tour sparked my curiosity about the history of Denver.
Rosalind Hartmann
Beautiful part of Denver. Architecture of the house was amazing. Enjoyed the self guided tour
S. M.
We loved our visit to the Molly Brown House during our visit to Denver. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. It was like a blast to the past. A beautiful home with lots of history. Worth a visit.
Peaceful Panda
This place was SO interesting. I really only knew Molly Brown from the Titanic, but that is really only a small part of her history. At first, I was a little put out that we had to do a guided tour, but I actually really enjoyed it. The information the tour guide shared is what really makes the tour. I'm now really interested in reading and learning more about Mrs. Brown!
Dan Peck
Very cool little piece of history. Very well preserved / restored home of someone who lived a very interesting (and well to do) life. Certainly worth an hour to puts around each room and let your mind wander to the stories of a time gone by. For the most part, restored and set up to display life in 1910. Super friendly and helpful staff and a nice little gift shop. Well done Historic Denver, Inc.
Annamaria Vafiadis
No air conditioning. Very uncomfortable to walk around and too many people in house at once.
Eric Hoffman
This was a spur of the moment decision to tour this historic Denver home. Learned so much about this fascinating women and all the good she did during her time.
The self guided tour takes a little over an hour. The staff & docents are friendly and wonderful.
Highly recommend.
Amber S.
The Historic Denver organization was actually created to save and restore the Margaret "Molly" Brown house. Tours are led by volunteers.
The house has been restored to an early 20th century (~1910s) layout and decor.
There's an eclectic gift shop in the back yard. Great place to get souvenirs.
Wyatt Gorman
House itself is very interesting and well worth seeing, with a great gift shop. We just didn't seem to get a very knowledgeable tour guide.
Ron Robertson
I would recommend the guided tour our guide was very interesting and added a lot to the experience
Irina SITNIKOFF
I was really impressed by Molly Brown's museum, it is an amazing place, takes you back in time. The only thing I would say, the place is lacking signage and directions of where to go. There are a lot of doors, but very confusing as to where the entrance is and where to check in. The clear signage would really improve the experience. Still enjoyed it though!
Ginger V.
Fantastic place. Well maintained. Appreciate how you can learn about Molly independent of the Titanic. Peggy (volunteer) was so kind and knowledgeable.
Elizabeth Benzinger
Absolutely amazing!!! This is a must see if you are un Denver. Full of education that spans way past Molly Brown. Fasinating!
Emily A
It was interesting to be inside a house where everything inside is 110 years or older. They help you see how people lived and the rules of society at the time. The self guided tour was easy to navigate, and I enjoyed being able to move on at my own pace.
Carin Atkins
Wonderful tour and the guides were very knowledgeable.
Kathleen Goldstrom
This is a wonderful look at historic Denver!!! Loved seeing and hearing about the truth vs. the myths. Lots of Titanic lore, and beautiful architecture!!! Well worth the visit!!!
T L
Touring the house is worth it. But it is in the ghetto. Bums everywhere. It's a little too expensive for what you get. Parking is a disaster. Expect to smell marijuana everywhere you go. The staff at the gift shop/ticket counter were rude. But the staff inside the house helping with tours were very pleasant.
Stephen Valder
Actually we didn't get to go into the museum since we didn't buy tickets ahead of time.
But there is a small exhibit in the basement that is open and free that had info about the mining history and a short film about molly brown that was interesting
Moises Canales
What a wonderful experience it was visiting the Molly Brown House Museum. Loved the information provided by the tour guides during our visit. Lots of interesting history. I would recommend paying the extra money for the tour guide.
Michael Williams
Neat house, would have like more on Molly's life and would have liked some kind of headset audio versus just plastic cards in each room.
Melissa Obrien
Great experience. Must see. No ghosts captured but worth seeing.
Jessica Brewer
It was very fascinating to see all of the details of this house. Not meant for little kids because you can't touch ANYTHING, not even walls.
Harold Kyriazi
Beautifully restored home, period furnishings, fabulous history, and knowledgeable tour guide.
Victoria L.
A good place to spend 1.5 hrs. Such a beautiful house and the restoration was done perfectly.
Robert Rowbotham
Very interesting guided tour of this historic house. Great stories and good exhibits. Lots to see, read and watch (great old pathetic reels) making it an excellent visit.
Kristina Burgoon
Wonderful stop during a Denver visit!
We booked tickets same day so we could only do the Self-Guided Audio Tour but it was lovely! The staff in the gift shop and the house itself were very pleasant and helpful.
Learned some fun tidbits & trivia!
Darrell Blair
It was very informative, well worth the trip and they have people stationed in there to answer any of your questions
Matthew Huston
It is an interesting story and a tremendous house. It's worth the visit
Melissa Shrader
Wonderful experience and worth the time to experience both worlds and local history on this gem. Margaret was ahead of her time and the historical treasures in the house are amazing. Homeschool experiences are wonderful and my daughter loved Building the Titanic.
Carla Pinto
The house is beautiful and the tour was very informative. Really enjoyed it.
jnj cooley
Awesome!! Very educational and interesting. Loved it!! Not just Titanic stuff, but about her life. Definitely recommend going.
Carmen Sandiego
Beautiful, historic gem. This was an incredible experience with a ton of knowledge to gain about the unsinkable molly brown and her family! Highly recommend anyone to visit!
Annissa Lujan
I grew up across the street from Molly Brown House, my grandma Rosabel Cholar usto manage the apartment building across the street many years. This would be be my moms mom.
Caryn Russman
This was a very interesting historical tour. The house is beautifully restored and the tour guide provided tons of information about both the house as well as the woman it’s named for. Worth the extra $2 for a guided tour to not have to figure everythjng out myself.
Tony Lillie
A truly fascinating experience! If you like period drama or history this is like stepping back in time. The recorded tour is informative and the resident historians are willing to answer questions and provide interesting details. The home's extensive restoration work has been meticulously documented with restoration stories presented along with historical facts about the home and it's several residents. I found the whole thing very informative and entertaining. Worth the price of admission!!
BA R
Extensive collection of Molly Brown and Brown family history! The tour guides are incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly. 1 hour wasn't enough. I will have to come back.
Dan Raedeke
Worth the time and $. Plan on time after the tour. Lots of stuff to see and read.
Laurie Meek
Always a fun place to visit. Very informative. Did you know that Molly Brown was never known as "Molly" in her whole life? She always went by "Margaret"! Also a very nice gift shop on the premises.
Logan Yu
Stumbled upon this museum while walking by. Was able to book online for the next entrance in 20 minutes. Really enjoyed looking at the correspondence letters and some items from the Titanic movie!
Sean Flindt
There was a lot to learn there about Molly. She did far more than most and way way more than I had realized. The staff does an excellent job with the place.
Kriss Mahasing
I had a great experience visiting Molly Brown Museum. I'm glad they keep the house after it has been sold and rent out several time.
Jessica
Great historical experience. House is well restored and beautiful. Loved learning more about Margaret Brown who was a very dynamic woman in her time.
Teisha Hart
Great self guided tour, I'm glad we stopped. Beautiful home
David Sandekian
Awesome experience!!!
This was my first time ( with out being with a 6th grade field trip) to go threw the house.
Still love the interior!!
Nichole Leigh
Interesting and well worth the visit. You'll leave wanting to know even more about Molly Brown.
Katie M
Lovely tour. The guide gave great information. The shop has fun, vintage items for sale.
Erik White
Very informative, and a lot of beautiful and interesting things to look at and take in.
Meagan Hallen
Such a fun tour!! Especially during Halloween season!
Chris Vallowe
This was the second visit I have made to the Molly Brown house, the first time I went they had guided tours which was very interesting and I learned a lot about her and her life. This time I brought my father expecting to have the same experience but they don’t provide guided tours anymore. They do provide a web URL to a recording but it’s not the same and we ultimately didn’t use it after the first recording. I don’t feel we got the same value and definitely didn’t learn nearly as much. Really is a pity they’ve lessened the experience, probably wouldn’t bring anyone else
Claudia Casillas
Great historic place to visit. Good insight on her life and her achievements .
Andy Lesh
Very nice restored-to-period home, but be aware that only 10% of the items inside are original.
Paige Shoop
Under the circumstances, I wish tour guides were available to take us through the house. I feel my father and I left with more questions. I did print out the stuff, however. But, it was good. I have only been there once before when I moved here, I believe in 2015 or 16 my mother and I came. Definitely would do again but I would do the audio and a spare battery pack with head phones.
Rebecca Krysl
Quick museum with good displays, Covid policy, and well kept.
We did a self guided tour. Bought tickets on our phone outside of the house. Easy and then we were on our way. During the busy season, you should try to book a week ahead at least.
Trey Imamura
Grateful for the historical society of Denver for preserving this house. More cities need to do this. Learned a lot about the brown family and I’m inspired to do more for my own community. If anything, this showcases a house that sheltered a well to do family that made their community better and it served as a refuge for many others.
Andrea Donovan-Hutchins
Tour was amazing. They’ve put a lot of work into the artifacts and replicating the ones they couldn’t find. Very knowledgeable. Would very much recommend.
Mark Pettus
My wife totally enjoyed the visit here.
Brian Polcyn
Very well maintained. Staff was very friendly and had tons of great stories and facts
jewelssnow
We spent 3 hours here during the Exhibit Titanic. A docent welcomed our group and provided us with a wealth of information on the history and the Victorian home and occupants before we began our self-guided tour. We were the only couple from Colorado. For those that cannot do stairs, note that the “lift” only eliminated 3 of them. The Gift Shop greeter was quite informative about the book “Molly Brown, Unraveling the Myth”. Asked her who would be tantamount to a Molly Brown today…she replied “AOC or maybe KVP”. (KVP?) We simply smiled and left. We decided to visit the “Education Center”, located across from the Gift Store. It is within a portion of the basement…more stairs. It contained the Titanic story in photos and story-board. Great information and nicely presented. However, the entrance was not marked as a “Titanic Exhibit” or mentioned by anyone on the premises. Don’t miss it!
Tara Monette
This place is full of history about the "Unsinkable" Molly Brown!
The guide was chock full of information, the tour was really interesting, you could take as many pictures as you want (no flash photography) and it was so much fun!
I highly recommend it if you're a Titanic fan, women's movement, or just interested in history!!!!
Jeff Guidry
Great museum, friendly and helpful staff!
Katie Blankenship
So beautiful and full of history. Loved the self guided tour. Bring headphones so you can listen to the guide.
Troy Schutza
The history of this great woman will amaze you.!!!!
Amy J
In a beautiful tree line neighborhood. The house is gorgeous and full of history.
Deven echavaria
Cool place to visit for some history. My wife is a lover of anything realted to the Titanic, so naturally we had to go visit. It was cool to see things from the past and how upper class lived in the early 1900s. Definitely a place to visit if you are a history buff and visiting in Denver.
Polly L
There is a lot more to Molly Brown than just the Titanic, very uch so worth the tour
Tiffany Rivera
Our guide was wonderful! Very knowledgeable and cod answer every question we threw at him. We're from CO and I had never been here. It's a must see, even for the locals.
JW Hill
This house has been restored so well and the history is all through it. Definitely make a stop when you are in Denver!
Melissa Boyd
Transports you back in time! Tragic event allows an incredible woman to shine and her others the help they need.
Stephanie Curry
Just a great tour and really cool to see the reconstructed house and learn about Margaret "Molly" Brown. I really enjoyed the audio tour and there were guides in several rooms to answer questions. The gift shop was not a traditional bland gift shop but had great period specific pieces, books, jewelry, games for children... We bought several keepsakes. This was a smaller museum but absolutely worth the visit! We very much enjoyed it.
Melissa Snow
My eleven year old daughter said, "I really enjoyed the experience! " We learned a lot about all the different things Molly Brown advocated for, many of which are still pressing issues today. Although it wasn't a guided tour, the prerecorded info was easy to access and follow, and the staff added extra as able.
Sarah Winn
Very cool. Lived in Colorado for years and never visited until today.
John Visaysouk
Informative tour on Molly Brown I enjoyed walking around the home and learning the history, knowing Molly survived the Titanic is what originally peaked my interest. There are statues in front of the home are pretty interesting as well! Don't be like me and forget to take pictures.
Donna Delahooke
Took 2 friends to discover some of Denver's history and was pleasantly surprised by facts imparted on the house tour. It was well worth the visit! Olive, our docent, was very knowledgeable!
Emily Abernathy
My wife and I went here on our honeymoon and it was such an honor! It is so inspiring to walk around the museum. I wish my daughter's had been with us! Next time we will have to take them!
Gwen Smith
Interesting tour. House much smaller than one in Unsinkable Molly Brown movie.
Ofel Madatyan
Definitely a MUST VISIT house museum!!
M.E. Francis
Lovely house with great self-guided information. A bit sad the third floor wasn't open when I visited but the rest was very interesting! Learned a lot!
anthony prizzia
So cool to learn about this amazing lady!! Getting a chance to see her home was a bucket list item.
marion livesey
Amazing house really enjoyed my visit here worth the price and more
Robert Blauvelt
We took some out-of-town visitors here and found it greatly improved over our last visit many years ago. Lots of useful information, and the new "free wandering" visit is much better than the previous guided your.
Mysheadlines
Interesting and unique place to visit. I grew up here in Denver but had never been before. I went for the first time last year. If you are a history buff or have a specific interest in the titanic you will probably love this place. As a local who isn’t the biggest history buff I thought it was a little underwhelming. To me it was more of just like a house tour. I do find Molly Brown’s story to be interesting, but the house was nothing extra special to me. It went to this museum during the Denver art week and so it was free. I’m glad I didn’t pay a lot of money for it not being my favorite spot. I know the do teas and other events there and those might be fun. But just my honest opinion.
Brittany Geise
A wonderful experience for everyone.
Zack Hoyt
Awesome preservation of historic artifacts and architecture. Tons of great information about the Titanic! Molly paved the way for women's empowerment and independence. The gift store in the back is full of great souvenirs and treats! I loved it!
Elizabeth Carter
A must see in Denver, especially if you are interested in the Titanic. Molly lived such an interesting life!
Tiffany M
This house was just ok. I love looking at homes and buildings from a time in the past, but I think $16 is a bit overpriced for tickets. Be sure to purchase them online ahead of time. Im glad I went to visit, but it's a one and done.
Shira T
Very informative experience of both Molly Brown and the Titanic with her personal artifacts and old newspaper articles
Eddie
We took the guided tour. My wife and I loved it. Highly recommend it. It's a beautiful house with lots of history.
Elise White
An incredible experience! Our tour guide was excellent and the home is fascinating. The carriage house gift shop and basement museum are both so nicely done. All of the staff was welcoming and helpful. Denver should be proud to have such an excellent museum! I would definitely go again sometime and would certainly take out of town guests.
Sally Washick
Great staff and eleven year olds granddaughter loved it as well. Be ready to climb stairs sometimes narrow.
Mary Halpin
Excellent experience learning more about the Titanic going down & Molly Brown's part in the evacuation & aftermath. Terrific tour guide!!
Charlie Bee
Our guide was knowledgable and kind. The house was cool to see. It's a quiet informational tour/museum. It was worth it to see at least once and hear about the unsinkable Molly Brown. She was a pretty badass chick. We bought the mile hour culture pass and we fit the botanic gardens, this little gem, and the nature and science museum in one day and overall it made for a really great day.
Kim Sullivan
We absolutely loved the Molly Brown house. It was by far my favorite attraction we visited. This was my second time in Denver and we went twice during the week we were there. I am a bit of a history nerd and Margaret Brown is a hero of mine; visiting her home was an amazing experience. The staff are all very knowledgeable and passionate and The home is beautifully and lovingly restored .I truly could not have asked for a better more positive experience.
David Simon
Excellent stop on my sightseeing tour. Reserve a ticket ahead online, they sell out! The organization has done a great job restoring the house. Many original items were sold, but found and are back in this well furnished and decorated house. Guide was great! Very informative. I learned a lot.
Aline Lagura
Very nice.
It's like being taking a ride on a time machine and going back to the past. The very wealthy life, a philanthropist, and one of the first to promote Woman Empowerment.
I like hern
👍👍👍
Tyson Murray
Love the Victorian Horror stories.. will be an anual tradition!
Bethany Lucas
I really enjoyed this site, if nothing else, for the beautiful architecture/design example. The original plaster walls and stained glass windows are really unique and beautiful. They have also recreated the rooms pretty faithfully: they have early pictures of the interior of the house that let them do this accurately.
The tour wasn't overly long (about 45 minutes); I would've liked it to be a little more detailed, but other visitors were getting tired, so I understand the length.
The facilities are great. You can bring/buy water to drink, which I'd recommend. I went early in the day, so it wasn't terribly hot, but I can imagine how hot it would get in there later in the day. They do hand out little fans if needed, and they try to keep the air moving. There are also places to sit down during the tour, if you need. One staircase is pretty narrow, but I'm sure they'd let you go back down the main staircase if the back stair is unnavigable for you.
They have a unisex restroom in the gift shop (which is air-conditioned, if you need a break), and there are more restrooms in the basement, although I didn't check the basement out.
I parked a couple blocks away, but because I went there for the first tour of the day on a weekday, there was actually a good number of empty spots right in front of the house. Most parking was free/2 hours, which is more than enough time to see the site. If you want the first tour of the day, show up about ten minutes before they "open"/have their first tour: the gift shop will already be open and selling tickets.
Susann Paulson
I love seeing these old mansions and hearing the history. It was so cool to see and very interesting to learn about Molly Brown.
Jim Baird
I remember going through the home many years ago, and recall it was underwhelming. But this visit was vastly better! The work done on interior and exterior is outstanding. Perfect no, but given COVID, age of building, reliance on limited resources, etc. it is impressive. Molly was waaay ahead of her time, and more people should see what mark she made on history.
Spencer
What a cool place. I am a huge history buff and have been to a lot of places in CO while studying it in school. This one is one of the best places and in the heart of the city. It was so interesting to learn how incredible of a woman Molly Brown. This house is a great place for dad or mom to bring young girls and teach them about a powerful women that comes from their own area. An adventure and mogul, a women not interesting in fame but, living a life style of a renaissance woman. A great person for young women to look up to and hear the story of her life from all the disasters to her amazing accomplishments.
Val Klain
This was fun and very informative of the Brown's life and of course Margaret (Molly) Brown! The two guides were awesome, knowledge of the family, their lives, the house is excellent.
Jessmir Edmond
We had an amazing tour and learned a lot about Molly Brown and her family. We experienced good customer service during and before the tour. Their gift shop is definitely a must see after the tour concludes. Recommended to all history lovers.
Natalina E Davis
Very interesting history and architectural display. Lots of information as to the era and of the Brown family. Great docents are available. Do you at your leisure lots of information available. I would plan on spending about an hour.
Bilal Husain
Enjoyed the visit to Molly brown house. The folks over there have maintained everything really well. Despite social distancing we were able to do a self tour using an app. The store right outside the house was super cute and has lots of fun stuff to get.
Kristen Knowles
Tours are required to view the home and tend to fill early. The docents are well informed and share their love for the home and history of the area.
Parking is very hard to find in the neighborhood so grab it while you can. We enjoyed a short stroll through the tree-lined community before our tour. Several beautiful homes in the Capitol Hill area worth seeing.
Jose Alvarez
Loved the house. It was nice to be in a historical building of a person who lived through the titanic.
Richard Wise
We had a fun time on this tour. Lots a little facts and there is a cute gift shop. It’s worth noting that you can only see the house on a guided tour there is no way to see it on your own. There is also a second museum in the basement. It was dinosaur themed when we were there
TSB
It was great to see the memories. Only about 10-15% of the artifacts are actually hers. But, kudos for the Historic Society that kept this house and had the ability to restore it to Molly's glory days.
Kevin Greene
This is a great place to learn a little Colorado history through the lens of a phenomenal lady. The tour is self guided and has friendly and attentive staff to answer questions and help you stay on course through the house.
Jennifer Pelache
Beautiful house and great history. Tons of cool events to attend as well like teatime and murder mysteries too. I loved learning about Molly Brown and her fight for equality.
Terry & Corinne Lattimer
Wonderful collection of original and time period pieces. Especially loved our tour guide. She was very impassioned with the history and storytelling, engaging the tourists and ensuring even the youngest attendee understood big or uncommon words. Takes an hour. Located in an eclectic neighborhood. Definitely worth the trip!
Flora Benítez
We loved this experience! We had to buy our tickets online (it seems it was the only option due to COVID) for a self-guided tour. It took us around 50 mins to see all rooms. Staff was corteous and happy to answer any questions. They will provide you with a QR code through which you can access an audio tour with your cell phone or you can read the same information. Just be careful where you park if you choose to park around this neighborhood, we got a $50 ticket just for parking on the incorrect side of the road due to the month it was (we didnt read the sign well 🤭).
Kim Bridges
Awesome experience! If you're an educator or a member of the military you get a discount.
Becky Musgrove
Very interesting part of Colorado History. The audio tour was informative, but I really liked it better when they use to have tour guides dressed in period costumes.
Cindy Panish
The tour guide was friendly and very knowledgable!
Jean Gehrke
I've always been fascinated with the story of Molly Brown. The fact she was one of the survivor's of the Titanic alone is so impressive to me. So many perished on that fateful trip. But, she has done so many other wonderful things I never knew about. When I remembered they had a house in Denver, I knew I wanted to see it. It's just beautiful and all the beautiful woodwork detail. You can't get that anymore. This year I also went up to Leadville to see things up there, as that's where she met & married her husband JJ Brown. It's so beautiful & breath taking. I can't wait to come back to see it on the fall.
Eldon Mast
A great place to celebrate the spirit of service above self
Denise Allbee
Beautiful home. The workmanship is amazing! Olive was a well informed tour guide! She really knew her stuff and pleasant to listen too 😃! …
Alan Powell
Absolutely outstanding!! Quaint little gift shop with lots of interesting goodies. Tour itself was presented by a very knowledgeable guide. Willing to answer all questions. Enjoyed the tour immensely. Well worth the admittance fee. This was our second trip back and although nothing historically has changed, each time back reveals new information.
Tim Crile
Bizarre house... Very goudy but cool at the same time. Worth the time and money to visit! Tour guides were great!
Jim Raine
Really enjoyed seeing such a unique bit of history. The house is well preserved and getting the guided tour absolutely made for a great experience. Not great for small kids. However my teenagers really enjoyed the short tour.
Angie Moore
Many reviews have already been written and we agree that it is definitely a worthwhile hour-long stop on any Denver itinerary, old and young visitors alike will be fascinated with the history. What made this visit so amazingly different is that our guide, Pam, has been doing this tour for 48 years (!) and there is absolutely nothing worth knowing about the property, history of the times and family characters that she doesn't know. With a theatrical flair and penchant for drama, as she recounts the history and characters, we felt like we were treated to something much bigger than just another tour of a historic property. You'll get a real history lesson that goes far beyond the walls of the property, including the sinking of the Titanic (which Margaret Brown survived) and the rescue efforts that she was involved with, recounted by a person who absolutely loves what she's doing. Call ahead and try to time your visit with one of Pam's tour hours - highly recommended!

This house has be very well re done and preserved. I went on a free tour through the Denver public library and my docent was very knowledgeable. It was about 1 hour long and you saw pictures of the house in its heyday and just before it was preserved. The story of Margaret Brown is quite remarkable and for anyone interested in historic houses, there are many details to look at
Nick Anania
Well done tour. Very informative. The kids loved it.
Brandon Radford
Excellent place to visit. I went on a Sunday...small tour groups. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. You will get the real story and history of the "Unsinkable Molly Brown." There are several artifacts from her household. The house has been wonderfully restored.
Cesar Iglesias
So much history and also clarity about the story of this remarkable woman Margaret Brown found in this house museum. Our tour guide was great and because we were a small group on a quiet day we were able to linger a bit in each area. Very enjoyable.
Armando Romero
well organized and homey museum. Staff were always around to answer questions. Make it your first stop to Denver like we did
Alexis Gilbert
The audio guide (available for Android and Iphone) was a perfect complement to the amazing restoration and presentation of the house. There are also many helpful museum guides that can help answer any questions! I can't wait to take my parents here when they come to visit!!
Chantel Hall
This was a really fun thing to see while in Denver, and I really enjoyed the tour!
The tour guide was great: super knowledgeable and very nice and fun. The story of the house is pretty amazing, and Margaret Brown was an incredible lady!
Also, the tour is only about 45 minutes long, so you don't have to take a big chunk out of your day to see a really cool historical home.
Charlotte McGhee
We stopped in on a rainy day in Denver and had the most amazing tour. If there is a woman that's lived a more interesting/fulfilled life than Margaret Brown, I haven't heard of her. Our tour guide was so knowledgable & interesting, and you could tell he was passionate about what he was saying, not just memorizing a tour speech. Plan to go!
Al Snyder
Odd history museum. Lots of Titanic references, not much about her family, or interesting, specific stories about her upper class civil activities. Go for the house tour, not for Molly.
Dirk Waayers
The staff were flexible and accommodating when we were only able to get 1 ticket (we needed 2) and it was at the end of the day. The docents were knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. We learned more about Molly Brown than she was a survivor of the Titanic.
Pepper Roberson
A must see! Excellent staff, knowledgeable. Wonderful time.
Lari Gatewood
Pls paint the trash cans using Artist’s. Street Art encouraged. May stop destruction.
The tour was informative and appreciate the attention to detail.
Liz F
We love coming here! It has one of the best monthly homeschool programs in the Denver area. The staff is great!
Jessica B
Our tour guide was knowledgable, and the length was perfect. It can be a little warm in the house, so be prepared for that. However, there are plenty of places to sit down should you need to. Overall, it's a pretty interesting tour about a fairly interesting woman, but you probably won't learn anything earth shattering. It was a nice afternoon activity to burn some time.
Diana Curley
Didn't get to go in for they where closed, but we did the virtual tour while sitting on the porch swing.
Fowler Jones
Much better than the Molly Ringwald house museum.
Lannis Christensen
We had a very knowledgeable docent named Suzanne. I enjoyed her insights but my only issue is the way she gave lots of information and then rushed our group out of the rooms. I enjoyed the extra knowledge but felt like I needed to do the tour again in order to actually see the house. But the house is great. Obviously a well loved and taken care of historically home.
Chris Schock
Consider the virtual tour. It was great to go in person but several rooms you will only be able to go a few feet in and it's dimly lit. The app is great for giving info, but it's noisy enough between people and fans to make it difficult to hear.
Alex Nguyen
If you're a fan of the story of Titanic, you'll enjoy this place. There's a gift shop behind the house (where tour tickets are purchase) filled with interesting Titanic souvenirs. A ticket costs less than $15 and a tour lasts for about 1 hour. A very knowledgeable tour guide named Bennett was with us. Highly recommended if you're in the downtown Denver area and need to kill a few hours.
Rosita Flores
Such a beautiful historic place, one visit is not enough to soak in the history
Lauren Liebowitz
I didn't know how fascinating a character she was before I came here, but she's definitely worth learning about. The house is beautiful and kept very close to how it was during Brown's life. The tour guides do a great job and it's set up with pass-around photos of the house or Brown's travels, that sort of thing, so you really get a good sense for how she loved and what things were like. If you have even a passing interest in history or old houses, check this one out. Also, you get a discounted price if you've bought the Mile High Culture Pass. Worth the price of admission.
Stacey W
We are members and enjoy all of the programs and tours offered at the Molly Brown House. Always look forward to Holiday Decorating - from Halloween through Christmas.
Heather Felton
This was a major dream come true for me. I have been an admirer of Maggie Browns ever since I was a young girl. I'm so happy I was able to come. The staff was extremely hospitable unfortunately I did not get the name of the woman in the gift shop cuz she's very sweet and we had a very nice conversation. Thank you so much.
Steve de Boer
The information from the tour guide was very interesting. the house is not huge but the rooms are interesting and they did a great job restoring them from nearly a demolition state. I think others that are into historic tours may read it higher stars.
Kayla Taylor
The tour was awesome and informative. My 8 year old loved it!
Weiming Junki
Ol' Maggy kept up such a beautiful house, its truly a gem!
The Molly Brown House is an essential part of any exploration of Denver landmarks!
The history within these walls... The architecture alone is a treat. However, as its now become a functioning museum, people can learn so much more than they ever could have from their childhood Molly B Fantasy's or those familiar local ghost stories!
Aubrey Bass
Amazing place with rich history! If you love history and learning about heroic people, and love old houses, you'll love this tour! The tour guides are very knowledgeable and share so many interesting facts about Margret Brown and her family. Be warned that depending on the size of the group you are in, there isn't a whole lot of space for restless children to go or move freely around in (you also aren't supposed to touch things like the walls or any decor). I wouldn't recommend taking young kids here- my 2 year old was disruptive and bored and my 4 year didn't have the attention span to understand or care much about anything they were saying or what we were looking at. My 6 and 8 year old were much more interested so I would recommend that age or higher as far as taking children goes.
Power Em
Fun tour and very knowledgeable tour guide. There's a lot of stuff to see here and it's one of my favorite historical places in downtown Denver. There was some workers doing some stuff on one of the top floors but didn't take away from the experience. A must stop tour if you're fan of survivors of the Titanic or love to see and hear about Denver's historical places or people. The tour ticket was fairly priced for the type of tour you are getting.
Beth Holland
A beautifully restored home packed with history. The tour was about an hour long and included all the rooms on the first and second floor. Cute gift shop and great tour guides. We had a great time here. I will say that I don't recommend bringing young ones. As I said, the tour is long for young ones, you're shoulder to shoulder with others on the tour, and the servants stairwell that you take back down to the first floor is narrow and steep.
Michael Rosenberg
Nice Victorian house once owned by Margaret Brown of Titanic fame. House has an impressive collection of antiques. Very knowledgeable tour guide.
My only complaint was that we had to wait an hour because the tours were filled up.
Shalamar Blevins
Great place to visit and get a glimpse of history. The historical society did a wonderful job bringing it back to life. The audio tour was good too!
Brianna Dance
Great spot in Denver! Very well-preserved.
Cliff C.
Awesome piece of history and the tour guide was phenomenal. You could tell she really loves her job and did it well. The entire staff on the property was very helpful, kind and courteous.
A D
Go for the tour (which is decent), stay for the awesome gift shop!
Dianne Cox
Tom gave an excellent tour. Very informational and great insights. Looking forward to the Titanic exhibit.
Bryson McHardy
Very interesting piece of US history. Margaret Brown was a fascinating figure. Go deeper than the pop culture version.
Jennie Eilerts
We took my sister when she last visited Denver. The house is lovely. The tour guide was adequate but sounded like she was reading from a script. It was very hot in the house (middle of August) so be prepared for that if visiting in the warmer months. Glad we went but probably won't go back unless other visiting friends or family want to go.
Hunter Valls
No air conditioning, but super knowledgeable tour guides, and it's a truly fascinating experience. The house is set up exactly the way it was 100 years ago, with many of the furnishings the exact pieces from when Margaret lived here. There is a gift shop in back with air conditioning and heating, and a basement below where there is an informative 15 minute video constantly playing. Restrooms in the basement. Don't touch the things in the house. I wouldn't bring kids under like 5-8 years of age. It's a guided tour and a lot of talking.
Brooke McMillin
The tour was wonderful and very well done. The preservation and attention to detail on everything involving Molly Brown, her family, contribution to her community, and everything the home was commendable. If I find myself in Denver again, I will make sure to take this tour again.
James Porter
Worth it to do the guided tour. So much more than the titanic! Worth an hour or so if you are in Denver
J
Didn't go in couse I feel like it might be hunted dont need that titanic lady wanting me to draw her nekid get me in trouble with my chick an stuff .
Matthew Stewart
Fascinating, enjoyable experience. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Not to mention, Capitol Hill is a really cool, historic neighborhood, so find yourself a restaurant to pair with the tour and just enjoy the afternoon.
Salvador Rivera
A beautiful museum that tells the story of an amazing and inspirational woman. A must see for everyone, especially those who live in Colorado. I had a great time learning about this historic location, and will surely return to share this experience with others!
Erin Harris
My three children and I did not have advance tickets for a tour on a Friday afternoon, so we bought tickets and then had lunch and walked around the capital for the two extra hours until our 2:30 tour. The tour begins on the porch, moves through the first floor of the house, and then proceeds upstairs. A lift is available to provide wheelchair access to the first floor of the home, but there is no alternative accessibility option for the upper floors. The tour requires standing in one place in some very warm spaces. Hand-held fans are available, but two people left our tour because they could not continue standing or could not tolerate the heat (the building—not surprisingly—is not air-conditioned). Our tour leader was knowledgeable and pleasant. The tour was interesting for me as well as for the children and lasted just under an hour.
Kalin Fohn
All the staff were very friendly and the tour was informative and lasted a little over an hour. Frank was very knowledgeable and Molly’s story is quite fascinating. We decided day of to do the tour and very glad we did.
Carliss Boles
Excellent tour at a great price. If your staying in Denver and need a short distraction this is a good place to go. The tour was a small group of about 12 per guide. It was a little crowded in the small rooms but not to the point where it wasn't tolerable. I think a group of 8 or 9 would be better. I really enjoyed finding out about Molly Brown beyond what was in the movie titanic and this tour achieved that. We walked here from our hotel which was a nice walk.
Josh Robillard
A nice time capsule of what life was like in Denver 100 years ago. It's not a large house and portions of it are off limits so don't expect to spend more than 30-45 minutes here. Parking is just awful. We ended up parking in a neighborhood a half mile away.
Anita Wells
This was an interesting tour of the Molly Brown House. I highly recommend that you visit her home, if you are ever in Denver! It is well worth the visit. Also, due to Covid-19, you to purchase tickets in advance online.
Sherry
Wonderful tour and the story was told well by our guide.
JoAnne Owens
A very good museum about life in the Molly Brown era. We learned a lot that we hadn't known about Molly Brown. Excellent audio your. Steps are involved, so not handicap accessible. They're is a lift to get to the first floor, but not to the upper two floors.
Jewles Livingston
Cool history surrounding this lady. The facts of her life was fairly close to the movie. Very interesting architecture in the home. Apparently this house was one of the first to have the electrical wires in the walls. Sounds funny to us, but homes with electricity had the wires exposed on outside of wall. Parking is an issue. We parked in a pay lot and walked. Nice gift shop and staff are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly!
Jimmy Theurer
how is there late at night so I did not actually visit inside but the architecture on the outside of the building has absolutey, amazing , stonework, and the windows themselves were absolutely stunning. So long story short I will revisit Molly Brown House during normal business hours and give an update as to how the inside along with the tour and the staff.
Kayla Krittenbrink
This is a cool place to check out and I'm glad I finally made it after living in Denver for five years. The tour was about 30 min and was very informative. Our guide knew a lot about Molly Brown. It was interesting to learn more about her and this era in Denver and Colorado. I went with my mom, grandma, and two teenage cousins, and we all found it to be and interesting and worthwhile tour.
Cats and Canaries (VultureCulture)
Nice little museum. We had a good tour guide. We were able to see much of the house, but most of the upstairs wasn't included. It wasn't nearly as big or grand as I thought it would be, but still a good stop.
Christa Quiroz Cotrina
This museum is definitely worth a visit if you are near the state capitol! It is an old and very elegant house that used to belong to Margaret Brown, who survived the Titanic. There are many ellegant and beautiful things inside, as shown in the picture. What I really like about this place is that the tour guides are volunteers, and all the money helps preserving Denver's history. As said, this is very ellegant and the tickets costs about $12. There is also a very nice gift shop where you can buy very unique souvenirs!
George Harned
Awesome place. Love the history behind it. And the tour guide was awesome and knowledgeable
Lazarus C
Definitely worth a tour whether you are a local or visiting Denver. At only $12 a ticket it's also a great value. The docent's are friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Brown family and the house in which they lived. Early 2018 saw a multi-million dollar restoration so the house is even more beautiful than ever. If I have a minor criticism it's that you will occasionally get a decent that rushes you through the tour. That was the case on our most recent visit. There were times I felt certain areas & rooms were glossed over. Otherwise though this is a wonderful way to spend a couple hours.
Billy Moran
Great tour. Just the right level of info - not boring or too in depth, but covers the points of interest and answered all questions. Nice gift shop as well. Got job on rehab and maintenance!
Barbara J Northcross
It's a neat house and experience but the tour was too short and rushed. The tour ended in 20 minutes.I felt for the price I should have been longer and more detailed. The tour guide talked too fast and we didn't get enough information. Please make the tours longer even if you have to charge more. Also the gift shop had very little information on the house itself and the cashiers were a little clueless.
James Cannon
Didn't know what to expect. The house itself is nice but the fascinating part of the tour is the history. Won't spoil it for you but our country was once a lot smaller and the personal connections from coast to coast a lot more direct.
Ersin Sulukioglu
I'm a total history nerd so I may be biased, but this is a great museum, with a great tour, and we're so lucky to have this small piece of time preserved for all people to experience and to learn from. Molly Brown was something else! Definitely worth your time if you're in town! Or, if you're a local like me and want to nerd out on some amazing history.
FriscoKidd
An excellent presentation of a historic figure in the Women's Suffrage Movement. The home is lovingly preserved. I only wish the lighting had been better. It was VERY difficult to enjoy what cannot be seen on a 1:30 p.m. tour.
Mariah Osborn
We visited on a Saturday afternoon during the summer. The tour guide was rude, spoke too fast, and did not seem to have patience with children. She did offer up interesting facts on Molly Brown, but just graced the surface of Ms. Brown's amazing life. The home was not where Brown stayed and therefore, does not really show the character of the woman. She used it as a rental for most of her ownership while she stayed at a hotel when in town. The home itself is dark, cluttered, not ventilated, and small. I would have limited the group to no more than 5 to keep the tour under control and enable more questions and time to look around. The tour itself was rushed and did not feel hospitable. I think that if the tour was revamped to include more personal details about Brown and her family, then it would be more interesting. The carriage house offered more information than the tour did! Also, I think that self guided tours would be more beneficial than the guided tour due to the size of the home. No pictures are allowed, but the home is too dark for pictures. I live in a 1902 Victorian and they are built to let the light in! The museum should open the windows and allow breezes to refresh the stuffy house and reflect sunlight like it was meant to.
Ali D
This is one of the greatest historical museums of Denver. The staff is so dedicated to the museum, the history, Margaret brown herself, and sharing it all with you. They also have lots of fun events aside from daily tours like thirsty Thursday events and Titanic teas. If you haven't been, go! And if you've been before, go again! I learn something new every single time
Paul Murray
Nice tour. Didn’t know what to expect. They tell you about each room, customs of the time, purpose of each room. They also let you know what is original and what is not. Guide got a little annoying with her sing-songy way of interaction. Was it worth the price? I guess. It takes a lot of money to keep something like that going.
Paul R
Fun and interesting personal histories of both a commanding woman in American history as well as the house itself. Tour guides were incredibly knowledgeable and eager to answer questions. Restoration has ensured the house has stayed close to its original form. Extensive care has been taken to bring these personal histories alive.
Andrea Jewett
It was great the wait was a little longer than ticket was booked for, but just by 10 minutes. They have cards to read off of if you don't feel like dl the virtual tour.
Stacey Garcia
I felt a little rushed, too many people in the tour, house has small rooms so it's hard for everyone to fit and you miss half the history. Guide was knowledgeable and you could tell she loved her job. Great historical home.
Genevieve (Evie)
Great information and beautiful setup for visitors.
Leigh Ann Kervin
What a interesting piece of history right in our backyard. The tour was full of information and the gift shop was full of cute trinkets and books as well as Titanic memorabilia. I highly recommend this tour to anyone that enjoys Colorado history.
James Jordan
We attended the Victorian Horrors event here, and it was wonderful. Actors performed live readings of classic horror novels in various spookily lit rooms of the house. Definitely a place to experience during Halloween, but we also look forward to going for a more traditional tour soon.
Gerry O'Donnell
Very interesting, the lady guide was very knowledgeable and passionate, definitely worth a visit.
Michael Hannaford
I went with a tour group and it was extremely rushed. I really wish they had given us the time to check out the rooms and ask questions. There is a strong basil scent which I appreciated, but a couple guys in the group thought it was too strong. It's a really good beautiful house, just disappointed in how rushed it was.
Kimberly Schmit
If you love history, Colorado History, and the Titanic, then you will enjoy touring the Molly Brown House. This is the house, restored, of the famous Margaret Brown. Yes, the Molly Brown of the Titanic. The house is easy enough to miss, as it's in a residential area, with businesses next door and across the street. The tours are approximately 40 minutes, given by trained docents. There is no air conditioning in the house, so it does get warm or hot, so bring a fan. The house is three levels, but you are only allowed on the first and second floors. They are currently putting in an elevator for handicap access, which currently (July 2017), there is no handicap access. The time parking, and getting to the house, is worth the tour. There is a carriage house in the back, which is a gift shop, and worth your time as well.
Alexandra Krause
Loved this tour but lacked accessibility. Laid back tour - at the end, you had time to take photos and look around a little. This is not fully accessible for wheelchair access since the house does not have an elevator. Still, the beginning of the tour is accessible and someone who used a wheelchair waited downstairs while we went up. When we came back downstairs to the kitchen, which was accessible, the guide did not tell this person to come in and finish the tour with us. Instead, that person waited in the room next door not knowing she could come in. Disappointing.
Dayna Sorensen
I ,like many saw the Debbie Reynolds movie and wanted to see the house. I figured that it wasnt all true, sadly none of it was true...she wasnt even ever called Molly. The tour was informative and the house beautifully put together. It is not a mansion but a home. If you do not like crowds or feel anxious being crammed together , this may not be enjoyable for you. The person taking us through was very firm in keeping everyone together ( with good reason with priceless things just laying there out in the open) One of the individuals in our group felt closterphobic and hung back to look at things ,then felt humiliated when called out during the tour and asked to stand in closely with the group and left.
I liked hearing about Mrs. Brown and her family. There was a bit about womens sufferage and womens rights. The home had been used in many ways. I liked that they adressed in the tour a little about society at that time as well as a little about architecture and the furnishings of the house. We were told there can be no discussions about ghosts and hauntings.
The tour is an hour and you can easily spend the much time looking and asking questions. There is a free museum with a movie in the basement. And there is a gift shop in the carriage house. Im glad I went. I would have liked to have been able to learn more about the Real Mrs. Brown and I would have liked to have learned more about the architecture and the decore of the house.
Tajma Francis
It was very interesting. The tour guide was nice and answered all of our questions. Also the house is basically restored to when Molly Brown lived there. I want to watch the movie that is based on her life now.
Melody Valdez
The tour guide was wonderfully informed and gave a great narrative of Molly Brown's home and life. For those with mobility issues: the first floor is accessible via wheelchair, but the second floor is not. This is just something to keep in mind when deciding whether or not to visit this house.
Lauren McNulty
The house and the history behind it are facinating. I loved seeing how it was decorated. The tour guide was awesome. He explained all the history and gave us some time to do our own thing. Really glad i checked it out.
Dana Meacham
What an amazing woman she was and the house was beautiful and guide was so knowledgeable.
Matthew Transue
Not just a piece of Denver history, but of American history. The Molly Brown house has been well preserved, and offers a glimpse into the life and works of a historic icon who helped champion women's rights. Come visit for a chance to step back in time with knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guides, and learn!
Debbie Be
Loved the history of this house and Molly . Had an awesome tour guide . Would definitely go if you have the chance . Was so into listening to our guide that we didn't even take 1 picture !
Demika Duran
Get ready to step back in time! This place is an amazing piece of history and the tour guides do an excellent job representing the life and character of Mrs. Brown. If you have a chance to look around the carriage house (gift shop) they have some great souvenirs as well. Thank you Molly Brown House!
Aniala
It was a nice place, I learned a lot! Wonderful tour guide.
Diane Dischar
Great piece of history! Glad we stopped it was worth it to learn more about Molly Brown.
Andrew Bennett
For the history buffs! Went on a slow day, and had a personal tour of about 45 minutes. Fascinating history of early Denver and Titanic. Small gift store in back is where you get tickets. They were happy about my museum reciprocal membership.
Parking might be tough. Located outside of the direct downtown area, you might find street parking within a block. That might have a benefit of giving you a chance to see some of the old houses in the neighborhood.
jc sneak
Pretty cool to see with lots of historical artifacts and information. I will say if you want to go though make sure to get online tickets in advance because they sell out quick
Kris McCutcheon
A AbSOULtly fun day very cool History But difently not Handicap accessible
Mark Peterson
Great place to learn about Margaret Brown and the times she lived in. Gift story has lots of interesting fun things. I added to my Christmas ornament collection. A friend from out of town who is a Titanic enthusiast wanted to go there. I had not been in a number of years and forgot how nice it was. I am debating on signing up to volunteer even!
Henry Cummings
So interesting! Well restored, def worth a visit!!
David Stewart
The tour guide was delightful. We learned things never knew about Margaret Brown (she was never known as Molly when she was alive) and her family, as well as historical facts about Denver and Colorado. The tour guide was so passionate and really made the tour fun.
Valerie Whittington
Good information on the tour but the tour guide was a little shrill, she commented on how annoying it was that she had to talk over another tour and when we were in a space (the back room) she told us to listen to her and we would have a chance to look later but we were shoved out quickly and the tour was over. Very disappointed hat I could not read about or look at the artifacts.
Hannah
Fascinating look at the lives lived by the wealthy people of last century. Very informative tour, interesting things to look at, and very well-restored home. They have many of the Brown family's original possessions, with the collection rounded out with many other interesting period pieces.
Kristen Werner
Step back in time and discover the true history of the unsinkable Molly Brown. It's pretty cool.
Patrick Mowrer
It was a very nice place, well done to try to keep it to the dates period. The ladies inside were well informed on history and shared interesting tidbits. Very helpful
John Whaley
Worth the $8 for sure. Very informative. The whole tour lasted almost an hour, and the guide was both lively and passionate. Recommended, especially for history geeks. Went around noon on a Saturday in August and only had to wait for one tour to finish. 4 stars.
Oggs Ogbusa
This place is amazing and the one tour guide likes to talk and I liked listening. I need to go back .
tod aronson
If you like history and museums the Molly Brown House is a must-see stop. Lots of facts and figures about Molly Brown. A restored 1890s home and it will take you 45 minutes to an hour to see it. You need to be able to walk up and down steps. No air conditioning so it can be a little warm on a hot summer day. Staff and the nonprofit that owns it is most dedicated to preserving her history. Friendly and knowledgeable people there.
Patricia Burden
Enjoyed visiting while on vacation in Denver. Our tour guide was amazing and really knew her history! (Pardon me I forgot what her name was) definitely worth the money to get to see the history of the home.
Cole Trochinski
The tour guide at the time was very experienced. There was so much information that you did not get from the play. The house was very well kept and restored. Make sure you get there early because most of the tour sell out.
Cris Edwards
I have misophonia [a selective sound sensitivity] and these kinds of events I often avoid because of it. But, this tour doesn't allow gum or food [eating noises are a big problem for me] which was a HUGE a relief to me. This tour gets my misophonia seal of approval as a comfortable experience! :)
A thoroughly enjoyable visit that was super interesting. The time period is wonderfully recreated, the narration from the guide was clear and well-informed, and we all had a really great time.
Rachel
Beautifully preserved home with some great history behind it, but this honestly has to be the DARKEST tour I have ever been on! I understand you want to keep out sunlight to preserve the pieces but we went in the middle of the day and it was difficult to see the photos the tour guide was passing around.
Lori Wyatt
The Molly Brown House Tour was ok, except that it was very hot in the house. The tour guide was very knowledgeable ,but very bossy. DON'T lean, stand up tall like a soldier Sir. LOL I heard many of the group state they were afraid to breathe. At times she was unwelcoming, which made it hard to feel excited about being there. Interesting, but NOT worth the 12.00 admission.
Chris
Very cool. The wait can be long to get in (1.5 hrs for us during the summer). Despite no air conditioning, it was worth it for our daughters, who found Molly Brown's story inspiring. Make sure you follow the guide; We watched several people get scolded for leaning on a wall, opening a door prematurely, and walking ahead of the tour guide. Hang out in the air conditioned tourist shop around back while you are waiting. This is a place you want to park in front of if you can find parking. Walking through the park across the street was startling for the girls, who were near tears watching people do drugs in the open that they had only learned about in school. So if you can drive right up and find parking, by all means, do it. The tour takes about an hour, though is one place my daughters will never forget.
Elisse Kenaley
The Molly Brown House is a great way to spend a couple hours. No two tours are ever the same and I learn something new everytime! The guides are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and make The Molly Brown House wonderful. There are also many events throughout the year that are fun as well. I think the teas and the scary story readings at Halloween are the best
Doreen Hill
A piece of history preserved. Audio tour enjoyed by us and grand daughter 12. Fascinating life story and contributor to Denver's history.
Elizabeth Genazzio
Timed tours of small groups every half hour. Reservations recommended. Old horse barn converted in back to gift shop and tickets. Has multiple books etc about Molly Brown life as well as titanic story. Inside home is set up to recall her life in early 1900.
Anna Laura M
Great museum! We really enjoyed all of the exhibits and the staff was so friendly. Would definitely recommend it!
Angela Diedrich
Enjoyed this tour very much. Appreciated the helpful staff providing direction and keeping congestion to a minimum. Audio tour was great.
Pamela Koschke
It's rather fascinating stepping back in time in this old house. It's beautiful inside plus you can make appointments to have hosted tea parties upstairs. You've got to go at least once.
Isabella
I have lived in colorado my whole and this was my first time visiting. The house is absolutely beautiful. I loved hearing all the facts that I never knew about her and I loved hearing about how educated she was. I would definatly go again just to hear what another guide has to say.
Maverick D23
This place was magical. To be able to see and walk in a house as old as it is and to know the history and feel what it was like back in the early 1900’s. It was awesome. A must see. Takes about an hour if not less. Really cool

The Docent was awesome and knowledgeable but the time frame to enjoy the tour and tea was very rushed. The tea and food was delicious, but, the actress that played Margaret Brown used her "Spiritual" beliefs and politics too much. Instead of taking about Margaret Brown she compared her to Michelle Obama, various colors, and the times that she "channeled" Mrs. Brown. None of this is what I paid to hear about.
All in all, the tea was nice but too rushed to really enjoy for the price. And, like I said, not enough about "Molly" Brown.

Amazing experience! Loved the self guided tour and helpful attendants manning each floor. Clearly very knowledgable and very willing answer all our questions. Get there early or try to book a morning tour.

The story of Mrs. Brown is truly a tale for the ages. From why she was on the Titanic to her life in Colorado, and her roles in society you will learn it all and the house is almost exactly as it was in 1910 when Mrs. Brown had it photographed. The rooms are all as they were and you can see how high society lived in the early 20th century. The tour guides are all incredibly knowledgeable and can answer all your questions.

So inspiring. I had no idea the amazing story behind Margaret Brown but our docent Lizzie was excellent. She shared all the fun and interesting facts of a woman ahead of her time. Because of what I learned about Ms, Brown from Lizzie, I can call Margaret Brown a hero, one of my favorite female heroes from history.

This was a great tour- the information was interesting, and seeing the house restored to what Ms. Brown had designed it as was great. She had taken photos of each room after she'd decorated it, with the color scheme on the back so they were able to recreate it very well. There are a lot of original parts of the house still intact (staircase, fireplace... etc...) and those that are not original, they've been able to buy to match what she had. It's $8, so it's not too expensive- a good way to spend a small amount of money.

If you want a detailed tour of an excellently restored 1890 silver king mansion, this is a good value. Furnishings are on the mark too, and quality level is very high. Lots of other elegant mansions nearby too, see pix.

We went to the "Victorian Horrors" night. It was incredible. The actors were really good and we went to parts of the house not normally accessible. The house has such great history. Very much worth seeing.

Fun stop to discover more about the real "Molly" Brown. Great informative tour lasts about 45 minutes. They often sell out, so call in advance or go early and give yourself a little more time. My kids (ages 8-9) enjoyed it as well. They decorate for a haunted tour around Halloween and the decorations can be a little creepy for kids, so if that bothers your young ones, choose a different season to visit.

My family and I had a wonderful time here. The tour guide was well informed on the history of the house and was very kind. Would recommend taking a visit here:)

Unlike visiting most other museums in cities, the Molly Brown House is a bit more unique as it centers around Titanic survivor Margaret Brown in historic context of Colorado. The docents are fantastic and do not dwell on the drama of her survival, but rather what a remarkable and will ahead of her time woman she was and all that she accomplished. Not to be missed if you want to learn about Colorado's storied history.
