Reviews of Otherworld

It is an absolutely wonderful experience. A little pricey for tickets, but worth it in my opinion. There are so many different rooms with amazing art, puzzles, and interactive objects. We took our 5 year old and he was amazed. There are crawl spaces, tunnels, and hidden areas. Lots of beautiful art. And fun little places to just sit and take it all in. Every room has different lights, sounds, smells, and textures to amuse all the senses. They also have antibacterial stations to clean your hands throughout. Cute little gift shop and bar area with drinks and snacks. They also host after hours events that look amazing as well. We all had a wonderful time and will be back!

Like. What? What did I just experience. This place is. Insane! I live about 3 hours away and saw this on Tiktok and literally planned an entire day trip to Columbus, OH to see this. I have ZERO regrets. This place is bizarre and fantastical in every good way possible. We probably spent about 3 hours there and didn't dive into too many puzzles but get the sense you could spend all DAY there solving puzzles that are all interconnected. It is so fun exploring with no instructions or maps, however you want. Everything is connected and in many ways, including quite a few small tunnels (sometimes hidden) to crawl through! Every room feels so different and unique, I love all the neon lights and mirror sections and of course the favorites I think were the mushroom room and the main large tree room. You MUST COME HERE honestly with any age range I think and worth driving 2 to 4 hours (in fact I already feel like I want to go back)! *Online tickets only for $25/person.

This was a great experience. Took the entire family and the kids absolutely loved it. They switch some of the exhibits up so there is definitely a reason to come back. The staff were very nice and helpful, and the facilities were clean.
There is a backstory to figure out, and clues and puzzles hidden throughout, so it's lots of fun for adults as well! Will be coming back with and without the kids!
Crystal Graham
This place was so cool and I would definitely go back again!! Highly recommend to anyone who likes quirky art that is interactive. Our teens loved it here! We spent two hours here but could've stayed longer as we weren't able to decipher some of the codes they had.
Brian Dible
Heard about this place a little while ago. Made the trip to Columbus to do a bit of exploring. The place is in a convenient location. It was definitely one cool experience and I'm glad I can check it off the list. Reading other reviews, I had a mixed opinion. It took us between 45 minutes and 1 hour to go through it. That was checking everything out and doubling back to make sure nothing was missed. Not sure how you could spend much more than an hour in the exhibit. The $25 price seemed a bit much. I feel that maybe $15-$18 would be more fair for the time it takes to view.

Oh. My. Word. This place was the best! Art museum with puzzles, lights, smells, activities, music, quirky statues, illusions, and more. We absolutely loved the art but spent a ton of time figuring out the puzzles inside. There were 2 large ones, and many other smaller ones. Total time spent was 4 hours and we weren't slow! Lots of back and forth to figure out clues once we realized what the puzzles were.
I highly recommend this for all those who love puzzles, art, and quirky things. I would NOT recommend for young children, as there are a few areas that have scary art, loud noises, or illusions. There were a few toddlers I saw today who were very overwhelmed.
Completely worth the cost and so very enjoyable. Perfect way to spend our Sunday afternoon.
Alex Allen
Very cool art experience! Sort of like an escape room mixed with weird, wacky art exhibits. The tunnels and hidden rooms were very interesting. Spent about an hour in it, could have probably stayed longer.
Felt the price was a little steep for the exhibit and couldn't find any coupon codes. Would recommend as an out of the world experience for those looking for something unique.

This place is a very cool different style of museums. Wasn't very crowded when we went. Masked were required. Each room has a different color, smell, temperature and vibe to it... They have hide away areas where you can hang out if you can find them. Kid friendly but wouldn't recommend bringing them at night. Parking is free. Small gift shop at exit.
Ally Russell
Absolutely astounding place to go for lovers art, imagination, and creativity! There was no wait whatsoever, I came on a Wednesday at 3:00pm. It is a “self guided tour” so it seems like you can take as much time as you like to wander around and look at everything. They have plenty of very clean bathrooms and a cafe but the cafe was closed when I was there. This place is much larger than it looks from the outside, it is filled with dozens of rooms all with a different theme! From my understanding each room is made by a different artist which makes the rooms all the more interesting! I spent about 30-45 min but every second of those minutes there was something interesting and amazing to look at! They also have a gift shop with very cute stuff, I didn’t purchase anything but am tempted to go back to look around and make a purchase at the shop! The gift shop also has separate sections for different artists but I don’t think all artists have merchandise there.
Savannah Perry
Amazing place to visit! We went on a weekday so it wasn’t overly crowded. We spent a couple hours (adult, 2 teens, and a child) going through the museum. Everything is amazing and such great detail. We will definitely be back! Would love to see this continue to grow. They have you buy tickets online in advance (I was able to buy in parking lot before heading in-but again it was a Monday early afternoon) we spent $25 for adult and $20 for child. They do give military & senior discounts.
Michael Monaco
A fun, relaxing art installation. Plan to spend about 1 to 1.5 hours to see everything, though you might end up spending more time if you interact fully with everything (reading all the files, viewing all the videos, etc.).
Good for kids too, with some supervision. See if they can find all the secret tunnels...there were at least four we found, and more if you count things like secret doors.
Tiff Zoellner
This is a must see. It is a little pricey 30 a person but the experience and bonding with my brothers and significant other was definitely worth it. This place was amazing and very vibrant with color. A lot of hands on interaction. You do have to crawl through some stuff but there are other ways around for those that can't crawl. We spent about 2 hours here. But this place was fun. You can't buy tickets there you have to buy them on the website. Every employee we dealt with was very nice even the security guard interacted with us so they definitely made the experience better.
UniqueSam360 !
It was definitely worth the 3 hour drive.
There is so many rooms. The tunnels and lights hanging were the best.
There is many things to interactive with. Its not just a walk through.
It took about an hour with just my sister. If you bring kids or a group of friends it would probably take longer.
Take the trip!!
Olivia Brooke
Absolutely wonderful! Had so much fun! Great place to take kids, minus a few things that could scare some little ones, but also to go as an adult. Everything is interactive. It's beautiful and we loved it!
Pallavi Bhoite
This place is full of amazing and mind blowing art installations. Every room has different theme and gives full on creepy vibe. We hardly spent one and half hour there, so that was little turn down for me considering we spent $30+ taxes per person to enter here. I was hoping for 2-3 hours thing..
Tonto
My fiance and I absolutely loved our visit. We traveled 2 hours and 45 minutes just to experience it and it was well worth the trip. They didn't tell us at the gate but there are secrets in every room, so another person told me. And we found quite a few of them it was a lot of fun. We actually plan on going again with our kids this next time.

i drove from dayton just to go here and let me tell you, it was totally worth it! they use a time ticket system to ensure that it’s never overly crowded so you can fully enjoy your experience. i had an awesome time walking around and discovering everything this place had to offer. the level of detail encourages interaction and i love it! i would love to go back in a few months because they’re constantly adding new rooms.
Natalee
We had such a great time here! The amount of creative ideas and the way they were executed here is BRILLIANT! From the interactive walls and floors to the infinity mirror hallway. We were impressed over and over again. They also have a drink and snack bar here which was nice.
Ronald Kosiek
What an amazing experience! We spent around an hour and a half exploring this huge place to be able to see all it had to offer. In my opinion it's kind of a one and done experience once you've already seen and played with everything in there. But it was definitely worth the drive to come and experience this place. If anyone is thinking about coming here I say go for it for sure!
Denise D
This was amazing! We visited for my son's 10th birthday and it was fun for the both of us. We thoroughly enjoyed going room to room exploring. Staff was very friendly and they stagger your start times so it doesn't get too crowded. Well worth the money for the tickets :)
Anthony Kaltenbach
Wonderful and creative! Take your family to explore this interactive art piece! Good for all ages!
Every room seems to have a mystery or puzzle to solve. There is a fun and not too challenging scavenger hunt to participate in.
Each room has a lot of creativity and are a fun experience to share with friends. There are secret tunnels and passageways that are fun to find and explore.
Take your family and explore this place! It will take a few hours to get a good experience. It is a lot of fun!
G Stephens
Otherworld is truly unique, like nothing I've ever seen before. It's a funky multi-sensory experience that gives visitors the chance to interact with the exhibits through its use of light, color, sound, and texture. You're free to roam throughout the facility at your own pace and in whatever direction you choose. Every room is completely different from the previous one. Depending on your mobility, there are tunnels to crawl through that lead you to the next room, and also plenty of places to simply sit and observe. Otherworld is located in a now-defunct strip mall, and was designed by people with incredibly creative minds. Very memorable, and definitely worth the trip!
Noah Hunley
Very cool experience. We spent about 1.5 hours here and explored everything. It's a different experience being able to touch everything and interact with different parts. My favorite was the record player room. Highly recommend
Roy Wright
Really fun experience! Many different rooms of art installations some of which are interactive. The staff was cool and it was a good place to spend some time while we waited for our dinner reservations. Great place for adults and kids, they also had a bar to get a drink!
Ellie Neuerburg
Very cool experience! Did not read reviews or check photos before going as a fellow adult invited me to go, so it was not quite what I expected. We drove about three hours to get here from Indiana, and I don’t think it was 100% worth it. It was fun for sure, but it wasn’t the cleanest-looking in some of the exhibits (though they did provide frequent hand sanitization stations) and it was much smaller than we thought (we were done in about an hour). Definitely see kids having a much better time than adults, but it was still a good time. You do have to purchase tickets ahead of time, though they don’t seem to stick to the schedule, and there are food and beverages offered (including adult beverages!). Suggest going during the week or early Friday close to opening time to avoid over-crowded rooms and exhibits. This kind of experience is more enjoyable the less people there are in the way.

We came into town for wedding and had some time to kill before our check in. This place is SUPER fun, the rooms lead into different rooms and there are a ton of things to explore!
We were adults in our 30s and had a blast!
They have beer/cider available and you're allowed to take it inside with you while you check everything out.
Robert Shaeffer
This place is so far out.Its space Odyssey and a blast from the past let it all together. It explodes your senses, and intrigues your mind. Something different around every corner or you crawl through little holes to another room. I was in a big fish and then transported on a starship it's amazing a must see entertainment for the whole family and the service and the people were just amazing I recommend going on the weekdays.
Justine s
I have nothing bad to say about this place. It was the highlight of our trip. The art and experience is absolutely amazing. Also every staff person we interacted with from the ticket counter worker to the merch sales man and bartender were incredibly professional and polite. If you don’t stop at Otherworld on your trip to Columbus you’re missing out.
Sarah Mari
This place was absolutely unforgettable! When I planned our Columbus trip, I will admit Otherworld was one of the main reasons for choosing Columbus and it did not disappoint. The experience is immersive and took us about two and a half hours to explore, although I think we could have spent more time in there. There are so many interactive props and scenes, so many little details.
There is a bar on site and a gift shop with neat pieces displaying art and characters from inside of the experience. All the members of staff we talked to were nice and helpful.
We paid $30 per person because it was in the evening on a Saturday, it was the most expensive event we attended while in Columbus but I believe the experience is 100% worth the money.
jarvis Queen
I felt like I was at disney! Each room is different and fun. Their are tunnels that take you to different rooms. There are many opportunities to take cool photos. Some areas are perfect for kids. Really cool place and not a bad price. You can get snacks and drinks at the bar- the have mochi and cookie cups! Vegan options as well.
Crystal Dineen
Very cool if you are ok touching all the things. Very interactive and tactile. You touch in all of the rooms and there is a lot of sanitizer around. It has lots of different rooms to explore and you just have to walk around and see. A few entrances you stoop down to go through but you can find entrances to the same areas that you don’t have to stoop for. My kids 11 and 8 loved it. There’s so much to explore that they wanted to go really fast then back to rooms more slowly. We spent just under an hour but could have spent more time.
Brianna Bowles
Otherworld was amazing. Such great visual art in a wonderland of secret passage ways. Our group included a teenager with mobility issues, who required a stroller. All areas were accessible to him except one small tunnel. We thought there could have been an issue with sensory overload based on reviews, but it was quite the opposite. Also in our party, we had a anxious child who was at first very fearful of what was around the corner, but as we started to explore he really got into it. We loved our experience and hope to have more memories here.
Kendall McCloskey
So many rooms, hidden rooms, and puzzles I didn't even know about. I'm going to have to go back again and try to solve the bigger puzzles. The rooms were so unique and breath taking. They're pretty busy on a weekend so if you're able to go on a weekday I'd do that.
Jodi Marlow
Looking for a different unique experience, this is it. This is a place that no matter your age you will love it. We took the grandkids ages 4-16 with us and we all loved it and had a great time. So unique and creative is all I can say. We will definitely be back maybe with kids or by ourselves.
Erin O'Brien
As an artist I was blown away by this beautiful, innovative, interactive art installation. Like an open world video game you can explore in real life. 25.00 tickets are a steal for this one of a kind experience. Go, you won't be disappointed.
Brittany M Decker
What a wonderful place to Wonder. Take your time walking through there's more than meets the eye here. & Don't be afraid to act like a child to pass through the secret passages. Interaction is Key but not alone...
This place is magical and a break away from reality. The work and time creating this place is beyond amazing it's really something special to witness.
I wish I could have spent more time here on my 34th birthday but I'll be back soon. Thank you to the Creators what a beautiful place. 💜🌛🪶

I loved Otherworld!! There were so many fun rooms to visit and explore. It's also nice that some of the rooms have a place where you can sit, hang out with friends, and talk if you aren't in a rush to leave. It's definitely a fun experience that you should check out at least once.
Vanessa H
I have been here about two years ago, today it was pretty busy with young children (1030 AM). Made it difficult to walk through and take pictures. Took five of us less than an hour to walk through. It is pretty pricy given how the amount of time it takes to walk through. The group of teenagers thought it was neat to walk through it once.
Jeffrey OConnell
Good family fun . Assume a hour and a half to see all the different rooms. Alien etc theme throughout. You have to make an appointment but you can wander with others through exhibits with outerspace, alien, etc.exhibits. Easy parking and friendly staff. Nice afternoon outing.
Brian Fancher
Super cool to explore and find new rooms, tunnels, etc. There are so many cool details in every room. Try solving the cow statue puzzle for a fun music surprise!
I didn’t go with children, but I could see it being very easy to lose track of them if you’re not careful. The place is a giant intertwining maze of rooms, so be aware!
A Paris
If I could give this place 6 stars, I would! AMAZING!! The staff was all very nice, every one of them. The rooms were immersive and interactive. We could have spent the day walking around that huge layout. Just wonderful! We will go back!
Leanna Marie
This place is amazing. Its was so much fun to go through this and interact with everything. The puzzles and all the hidden stuff was fun to figure out. Its bizarre and whimsical and a little creepy. It gives me Alice in Wonderland/Tim Burton/Jim Henson vibes. The details in everything was so cool. The people that put this together did an incredible job.
Heidi
For $20.00 a ticket, it was really cool and impressive! Alot of cool art and talent. Perfect for a family with kids,or a cool couples place to check out. Really trippy and cool. Some interactive things. Strollers and wheelchairs we're there and got around easily.
Jack Sparky Frahn
This has been on our radar for quite awhile and we decided to go here today. We came from Toledo, Ohio. This is a wonderful place to bring children. Lots of tunnels, passage ways to different rooms. Lots to explore. We had a wonderful time here.
Robert H. (DJ Rusty B.)
This place is really fun to explore. There are lots of puzzles you have to figure out on your own. It is really odd, so keep an open mind and enjoy the interactive hands-on rooms. Some puzzles require multiple people to solve, so you may need to have someone walking by join in to help you solve it. There is a small snack bar with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. You can take the drinks in with you to explore around. Small gift shop with logo otherworld apparel and souvenirs. All around great experience that allows you to enjoy and make your own adventure come alive. Would visit again if I am back in the area.
Angela Straw
This place is so much fun! I love pleasing and odd sensory experiences and this one was captivating in every manner. We got up to some shenanigans with certain interactive exhibits and even found secret spots where you can chill out on beanbags. It encourages you to interact and try new things while staying safe during this pandemic. They have hand sanitizer in every room and require masks.
The visuals in each room are incredible and there are many places to just chill and check out the rooms. I felt like I was in an adult playground: crawling into random tunnels to discover a whole new world in another room, interacting with puzzles, flopping on beanbag chairs, staring at trippy visuals and spinning in cool chair rigs 😍
My friend I went with is in a wheelchair and she loves going as well. Some places are a little small and too difficult to get into depending on your disability, but the place is massive and there's so much to do that it only makes up a small percentage of the whole experience.
Asia Aneka Anderson
I loved this place so much. Can't wait to visit again some time. It's really cool trying to figure out hidden easter eggs in each room, but I will one day. Whoever thought up this place has the craziest imagination and I dig it.
SUO Family
Best kind of “alien” experience!!! It’s really a different world. There are many rooms with different themes!! Lighting effects are excellent !!! The whole area can be covered relax, within 2 hours.
Vasily R
Surreal experience. Cool pictures. I didn’t figure out the puzzle with the specimens behind windows (tip: I think the wall behind you has something to do with it!) but it was fun. I wish there were more puzzles like that in there.
I think it needs a bit of maintenance because some things were out of place or some buttons or sensors weren’t working etc. The area with the huge blob inflatables had a round table with all the shiny shapes that didn’t seem to do anything so was a bit of a disappointment. Maybe the holes in the shapes were for something?
The Rick roll thing was hilarious. Great for all ages, amazingly. It’s also bigger than you’d expect. Would probably be cool to try it on 🍄.
insane mind
Was an absolute amazing experience. I've been waiting a few years to go and was not let down. All the good things people say are correct. It's the most interactive art museum I've ever been too.
Tyeisha Montgomery
Beyond our imagination! This museum is a GEM. It's interactive, fun, beautiful, creepy, and just great family fun. We drove in from MI to go to the zoo and my daughter loves museums so we stopped in. Gentle reminder to search for and open time and pay online. There are no refunds, so be certain. The gift shop was pretty reasonably priced with items as low as $4. We didn't hit the concessions but it was available.
Adam Schmitt
So this place is straight up amazing. The attention to detail in each setting is outdone only by the insane level of creativity. My 3 year old and 10 year old daughters loved it and I think they figured something out by encouraging you to touch and climb on certain things. Even my 13 year old like it....and nothing is "cool" to him right now! I could have walked through the same rooms 10 times and found something else incredible and unique. Well done all around and an absolute must see.
sue gee
This place was totally awesome. My 8 yo chose this place over going to the aquarium and she was not mad. The youngest person in our group was 4 and she had a blast too. So much to see and do.
Alaina Curry
Such an awesome place to see and explore! Not only was the interactive art mesmerizing, but was kept engaged by trying to solve the puzzles that go with the backstory. A great place for anyone to visit!
Sarah Schmitt
Go! It’s a great experience. Don’t let the exterior fool you. Lots of surreal, interactive art installations placed masterfully in a small space. It’s truly a playground for all ages. I was thrilled, surprised, duped, tricked, and amazed.
Jaime Fulsang
Such a fun and immersive experience! It's way bigger than it seems at first. Plan to give yourself lots of time to see everything and lots of battery power to make sure you don't run out.
Destini Rectenwald
Genuinely one of the coolest places I’ve ever been too. Super cool rooms themed differently and some have puzzles also. 100% recommend.
LJ Wilson
Great place to bring your kids. Spent over 3 hrs there. Teens lived solving the puzzles in some of the rooms. Would go again when back in area.
Jenna Collins
A little crowded but to be expected with the place. We went two years ago for our anniversary and took our 3 yr old this time. They have new installations and it's easy to get lost for a few hours. The 3 yr old loved it and we will continue to visit.
Mahek Patel
It was a good experience, wasn't much crowded at the time we arrived, but later the public increased. We almost spent 3 hours exploring the place. It is an art installation that gives you numerous 'that's so cool' in your dialogues that happen in the otherworld. You will get alot of picture worthy spots ,some engage you like bubble poping on the floor and walking in the mirror lane.
They also have a souvenirs shop near the exit beside the restrooms.
Lars Altvater
Very cool place overall. Great atmosphere with loads of details to explore. Wish there was maybe a little bit of a continous story to uncover. There were bits and pieces of one like short videos but there could have been a bit more. Loved it though, we had a lot if fyn.
Tess Cook
A lil pricey but totally worth it! Such a fun place! I wish they'd have an adults night though, there are always a bunch of kids there. Definitely reccomend though! They've got good drinks and some vegan bakery items from Pattycakes, a local bakery.
Selena Gonzalez
Honestly one of the coolest places I’ve ever been to. You get to interact with different things, and I felt like I was really in whole different world. The creations are absolutely beautiful and it’s just amazing!!!
Amber
This place is really cool. It could take hours to truly see and wonder through all the different rooms. Soo many interesting things that do make you feel as if you are in another world.
Most rooms are of darker lighting, but absolutely beautiful. A couple areas and rooms could seem scary for small children.
But another room had interactive light bubbles that my 3 year old could jump on and it sensed her jumping on them and would split up into more bubbles. She loved it.
The security guard was supe nice. He even stomped "bubbles" with my 3 year old and showed us other interactive areas on the walls.
A cool room Idea: "hunny I shrunk the kids, everything is giant" type of room. :)
My whole family had a blast. I would recommend.
Brett Striker (StrikeForceZero)
This is definitely a place you want to take slow and explore all the rooms and their details. I think a party of 3 is the perfect size. Uncovering the secrets of every room is just as fun as being immersed.
Madeline P
We had gone to Omega Mart in Las Vegas a few years ago and I've been wanting to check out this place since I heard they are similar. I very much enjoyed the different rooms and secret spaces between them. We had a great time and spent about an hour exploring and playing with the different interactive objects. I recommend going and exploring the place for yourself.
Violet Lilac
Super fun to explore and discover all the hidden puzzles and clues!!! Would recommend for kids and adults! We're definitely going back sometime
Sierra Crawford
Had a great visit and a nice drink recommend all people check it out. Lots of hidden details and just a cool exhibit in general. Lots of great opportunities to take amazing photos.
Jesse Loftus
Incredible experience. Otherworld is a labyrinthian Sci-Fi work of art. We took our 3 year old daughter and she had an absolute blast with all the interactive rooms. Definitely an experience outside the norm and completely worth the trip!
ENDTHEINFINITE
Unless you come here on your own, you are destined to not enjoy the full experience. Though it had many amazing maze, and vibrant light exhibitions, there's no way with the amount of small children and intoxicated teens and adults that disease isn't rampant. Enjoy it if you can but we went in the morning and it was packed and only worse so when we left.
Debbie Sunshine
Amazing interactive art. My favorite room was the old fashion yellow room kinda weird but when you look at your hands and see yourself gray and other people as well just is amazing how they do that. All the rooms are very unique in their own way and so much fun. Just touch everything you see specifically the walls they have alot of interactive games. A place you must visit.
Deanna
Took my almost 8 year old with a group of us! It was a blast! Definitely something worth seeing. $25 for adults. And $18 for children!
B.
Such a cool and fun place! Went on a weekday and had so much fun. There are various rooms that have different types of arts displayed. Truly feels like I went to another world.
Tom Forcellini
Unique hands on experience that made 4 hours fly by, so many things to see and do each room so different from another. Bedroom that you paint the wall with your hands, space invader game in another room that sets the room off, secret room and spaces so much fun.
Why they dont have one of these in each city ???
Edythe Motter
Such an awesome place! I feel like this museum has something for everyone to enjoy. Everything is interactive and each room has something different for you to see or do. You could spend an hour there or the entire day. Definitely planning another trip to Otherworld when we can spend more time exploring the backstory a bit more and figuring out all the puzzles. I think I could visit this place over and over without getting bored with it. There really is a lot to do.
Brian Ketcheson
Truly unique experience that is hard to put into words. Enjoyed exploring the various “exhibits”and getting lost in this maze like environment. Felt a bit pricey however. You will need to have tickets bought beforehand and display on your phone to enter.
Valerie Nolan Himmelright
This was a weird, wild and fun experience. At times, it is extremely mind blowing. There are so many different rooms with random tunnels and secret passages leading you to other rooms. Some are big, some are small, some are creepy some are interactive. We brought our two year old. Probably not the best idea if your kid is a toddler because you can easily lose them if they just bolt from room to room. I couldn't find my husband and daughter for 20min We all had fun but with a toddler it was added anxiety. I suggest you either explore and wander by yourself or really stay with your group. This is visual candy its well worth the experience.
Martha bosley
Can't wait to go back! Excellent exhibits in every room. Very reasonable and I met my Columbus, Ohio relatives there. Very nice.
Nikki MomToOne
Would be 5 stars if the price wasn't so high. Fun, interesting, unique and cool but so pricey for a family. Also super dusty. My allergies started after about 15 minutes.
Lindsey Skees
Awesome crazy fun in every room and hidden passage ways! Great for any age! The record room was definitely my favorite! Highly recommend.
Michael Thomas
We finally visited, and this place is truly Otherworldly! So many hidden passages and amazing creativity. I didn't know what to expect, but they blew me away!
Hermia Tsai
A fantastic place!
Even I’ve read many good reviews already, it still amazed me more than I had expected. Worth every penny I paid.
We had a really good time in there. Everything is cool to see and to interact with. Felt like I did step into some other world, such as outer space or what.
Alexander Sierputowski
What a fun trip! As always an outstanding performance however it being my second time not much has changed in 5 years so just as an fyi, it's a one and done experience really.
Amanda H
Awesome place. It's so cool inside. I get ads all the time for this place and was in the area so we decided to check it out. So glad we went!! I just wish all the puzzles were working. They didn't seem to respond to anything so we gave up on them because it just seemed like some weren't functioning properly. It was also just too crowded to keep trying. The only one I could get to respond was the cow but people were crowding behind me while I was trying to do it.
Would love to go back during a less busy time (if there is any) to try and figure out the puzzles!
I wonder how often this place gets updated and added to. Or is it more like a one time only type of thing because nothing changes.
There was plenty of staff wandering around cleaning things which was really nice to see. Also there's tons of hand sanitizer stations all over the place. Really nice to see as this place is very touch involved.
Sarita Daytona
Had a great experience. Went on a Saturday at 5 and it wasn't busy then. You need to pre-purchase tickets for a certain time. Was super easy to do. Really trippy and very big inside. Everytime I thought we were done, we found another door behind a curtain or another tunnel to crawl through. I'd definitely suggest checking otherworld out atleast once.
Mallanagouda Patil
As the name says “ Otherworld” this is also otherworldly if you understand art, sculpture and mixed reality place. I dont know much art and I didn’t liked it. And also I felt it’s too costly for entrance of 30+ dollars. As they say 32000 square feet of area filled with art exhibits but there is no map and it’s difficult to say covered all area because of different lighting and way it was designed. You can take pictures but understanding what is the art is difficult. There is enough parking but I felt parking and roads are very bad as most of the shops are closed in that complex. There is a shop on location for goodies and drinks which include cocktails.
Mara R
A fun way to spend a couple of hours. Beautiful and immersive. Having been to the Santa Fe Meow Wolf, I wasn't sure how Otherworld would stack up. Definitely in the same vein, but not the same. Awesome to have this gem of an experience in the Midwest.
Kami S
We took about 45 minutes to go through. Really enjoyable!
You are encouraged to touch everything, and I saw staff wiping surfaces while we were there!
Would recommend!
Make reservations!!!
Allison Cudney
Very immersive. We went at 11:30 and left at 1:30, it was more crowded as the day went on. There are multiple puzzles which are very complex. There are workers loitering throughout that will give you hints. Tunnels and textile for kids and complicated puzzling will engage families of all ages.
Candace Harrell
First off I would like to emphasize how wheelchair friendly this place is. I felt included in 99% of the exhibit and it was a dream come true to find something indoors and in a place that took COVID precautions extremely serious. Masks were required and there was hand sanitizer stations on every corner. I really wish I lived closer because I would visit often and would love to work here. I very much appreciate large scale fabrications as I have done many myself in the past, so it was a huge pleasure being able to experience the creativity and hard work of others. Otherworld is an epic place for a photo shoot and family attraction. I will definitely be making a trip to Ohio just for this place. I can't wait to go back. I've had friends that have been here too and it seems like they do a good job at switching out and changing some of the exhibits to make returning a familiar but new experience. Thank you for a wonderful day!
Tiffany Tiffany
I was highly impressed with this place. The art was so amazing. There were a lot of rooms, but at the same time not enough because I fell in love! We had a really great time.
Samuel Sedlak
It's a really cool place! Each room is crazy and different. It probably takes an hour to see it all and enjoy it. If I had a suggestion I would say they could clean the bathrooms a little more often.
Aimee Peterson
An art installation that you can touch, climb, crawl and interact with. Definitely different!
My faves were the rooms with lights. The record room and sitting in the mouth with the teeth! I crawled into a lot of mouths!
Cost is $25.00 a ticket. They have timed entries but once you are in you get a wristband and come and go as often as you like.
Sheri Rydyznski
What an unexpected find! Great way to spend 90 minutes and $25 per person in the Columbus, Ohio area. This hidden gem (literally tucked away in an empty strip mall) popped up on a list of things to do in the area. I'm not sure why it was so far down on the list, as it's definitely a Top Ten attraction! Immersive experiences are what you (and the designer) make of them. This is by far, one of the best.
Get ready to dine on a visual feast for the senses where you are encouraged to touch everything. Secrets and surprises are hidden in every room. The sights, sounds and "feels" kept us (two eclectic 50-somethings) entertained and engaged for nearly two hours. Go early or go late on a weekday to avoid the throngs of running, screaming children. Younger children may be frightened by some of the rooms and/or creatures. Staff is friendly (from the ticket desk to the gift shop). Small gift shop and snack bar on-site.
If you are an immersive art fan; like most all your senses firing or simply want something unusual to do while in the Columbus area - pack your bags and travel to OtherWorld!
Zachary Miller
Absolutely spectacular art museum. We were told this in the beginning and it was certainly true, "anything that looks like you can interact with it you can, and anything that looks like you can't interact with it you probably can as well." Only frustrating part is that there are two secret codes you can discover, but finding the parts of this code let alone even knowing these codes exist is rather impossible unless you see other's finding the clues.
GB ST
the part I loved the most wast solving the puzzles but just the environment alone was amazing, I got one of the stuffed animals with a long tail and I love it!! 10/10 overall
Vesenia Designs
Me and my family had so much fun! There was beautiful art and puzzles to solve. It was nice to join with other visitors and trying to find the symbols to solve the puzzles. This place is a must visit if your into very interactive art and family fun.
Stephanie Palmer
LOVED IT!!! The kids really enjoyed all of the secret passages and all of the bright, cool colors. The rooms are all unique and very interesting! A definite must see!!
Sarah Mae
The most magical place I've ever been.
I felt like a kid again.
Wear comfy clothes because there is alot of unexpected and wonderful tunnels and kneeling down. Find the puzzles! Go in and touch it all. I drove two hours and made it apart of my birthday trip. It's the perfect date for me and my husband we had a blast.
Brody Tuttle
Great experience! Though there's only about an hour's worth of exploration and interactivity, after that you have to find the little details. Idk how you'd be able to get 3 hours out of it, so if you're interested definitely go, just assume you'll only be there for an hour so you aren't disappointed.
Jess Dickinson
Me and my kids had an incredible time! If you're taking someone in a stroller or wheelchair, you can't access all the stuff, but we liked what we found! If you're looking for something different to do, this is the place.
Iris Hall
THIS place was amazing. I spent 3 hours here and it felt like a quarter of that because there was so much to see, do and figure out. Deffinently a place to bring friends or that family member that likes to solve mysteries.
Jacquelynn Kane
We drove two hours to get to this place, TWICE! And we'd do it again! Such a fun and cool experience for adults and kids of all ages. The interactive hidden games and puzzles had us tripping around here for hours!
Marsh
Our 4 kids ages 9 to 15 loved it and so did we!! Interactive art that keeps you entertained and amazed
Julia Karles
The absolute coolest place I've been to in years!!!! I drove fours hours and it was so worth it! My 2 year old loved it too:)
Patrick Lambdin
Thought the art was amazing. Entry price felt high for a show that a leisurely walk will get you through in 60min. Still, amazingly unique and fun.
John Davis
I went here for an EDM show. Had a blast. Sound was good. Atmosphere was amazing. I'm really happy they had all rooms open for the show. It really ties the place together!
Mia A.
It was something different. Pretty cool lights and set up. I think it would be cooler if it was a haunted house type scene. It's pretty much just a walk through and no type of interaction really. It was something to experience but nothing I would go back for. My 10 year old though it was cool but my 17 year old didn't think much of it.
Wanda Spears
We made reservations online before we went. It was like a science fiction movie set. There are over 50 contecting rooms. It was fascinating.
J M
Super fun. Interactive art. Lots to look at. Some of the rooms/art has hidden entrances that requires hands and knees. Suggestions- don’t bring a purse in and wear comfortable clothes, like yoga pants or jeans. Neat experience. There is some art/rooms that didn’t particularly speak to me, but you will see that in every type of museum. I am sure kids of all ages love it. The first time we went through, we definitely missed several rooms (they are hidden) so take your time and look around.
Charlene Teets
It was a really fun experience, bring some hand sanitizer because a lot of it is sensory related activities.
Craig
A fun experience for a family or a friend group. A great spot to escape for a little while. Respectfully, steer clear of the cocktails, though.
YTA QUA
Such an amazing experience I would 10 out of 10 recommend this to anybody that is new to the Columbus area because I am from Michigan and was inside of the area looking for something fun to do and I saw that this was available it does cost $30 for adults and it veries depending on your age and who you bring along such as kids and everything but it is well worth the money. I went by myself and still have blast because there are so many secret rooms and fun things to check out.
Ellis Island
It was like I stepped into my own imagination. Definitely a place for alien, space, artsy, on acid, creepy-ish atmosphere lovers. Heads up though, it does get stuffy, so don't do what I did and wear long pants and long sleeved shirts- you will get warm. Also, it has a lot of illusion stuff so if you're someone who gets easily dizzy/sick, you've been warned.
Jason Diegmueller
What a strange and fascinating place. An unusual blend of museum and art installation and science. Great for kids or adults with big imaginations.
Spring Dimmerling
Are you considering checking this place out????
..
JUST GO!!!! Visiting this place will 100% make you happy. Such an awesome - interactive museum.. sensory overload in the best way possible!!! Quit reading this AND GO ALREADY!!!🤣
Devin Spielman
A very psychedelic experience where you do feel like you've been transported to another world. Would recommend kids ages 8 and up.
james snyder
Absolutely the coolest place on earth. I could spend all day there without a dull moment. I'm so excited for their new place in Philly to open. I can't wait and will be there probably more than I should.
John R. Eslich
Very creative. It’s a self guided event so you can explore at your own pace, revisit spaces and take photos. Great for all ages.
Bryan Carnicom
Otherworld is great! We drove from over 2 hours away and spent over 1 hour on the tour. We think it's a good idea that you can go through everything more than once to pick up on some things you may have not noticed the first time. We had no regrets driving over 2 hours for this experience. There are many great food choices nearby to make the trip worth the drive. So my opinion, if you live more than 2 hours away don't hesitate to think about making the trip.
D Lozier
Truly enjoyed ourselves. It is pricey, $25 for adults, but a nice place to enjoy the day. Fun for all ages. Not overly crowded. We had a great time. They really took their time in the details. Loved it. Will definitely be back.
sabrina short
I love it here. Every time you go there are different things to see. You are encourages to explore and touch, as a lot of the rooms have interactive features. There are even secret rooms to discover. It's a great place for kids and adults alike. I went here once for a 21+ music event and it was sooo much fun. They have since added a bar and a gift shop. This place is perfect for birthdays with or without the kids. It also makes for a fun date night.
Kristin Clevenger
This place was amazing!! So much to see, not overcrowded and everyone was genuinely happy. Great place!
Keegan Omar
An awesome experience wish it was bigger and with more rooms, mainly because I really enjoyed the experience..could walk through one room multiple times and find another hidden room. A must see for sure!
Elizabeth Howard
Otherworld is worth the trip. Go. It is amazing! Fun for the entire family, engaging, hands on art work comes alive as you discover the hidden objectives behind many of the rooms. Whisper into the ear of a sculpture and make the walls change color, or twang certain cobweb strings (hint: the orange ones) to make the oversized spiders dance. Touch a projected image on the wall and watch it respond to your touch, or let the kids find the “secret “ passages that lead from one room to another, and there were 42 rooms, I believe. We had a blast and loved it!
Savannah Mantia
I went recently with my wife, brothers, and niece. We had a great time! It was such a unique experience and a fun way to spend the afternoon. Really interactive and creative exhibits with way more going on than I thought it was going to be. You can freely wander around and explore at your own pace. Highly recommend!
Keith Duerk
Just go. You won't regret it. Go to a live music performance there if you can. Best venue ever.
Brandi C
Idk how to properly rate this place.... one word to describe is odd lol. Went and don't ever need to go back but some of the rooms were cool and effects are of all kinds. Abandoned shopping center and you have to purchase tickets ahead of time. Expensive for what it is.
Storrey Rogers
Loved it! Extremely different and interesting. If you don't like strange art that is heavy on sight, sound, and touch sensors, then this probably isn't for you. However, I loved it and was mesmerized. A lot of people complain about the price, but $30 for a place that has quite a bit of interactive areas and took us about 90 min to get through was worth it to me. Can't wait to go back and see what the new exhibit is!
The destination therapist Deidra Plourde
Don’t let pulling up to the location discourage you . You get to explore so many different rooms and your just mind blown every time ! This experience was so unique and the rooms were so different and trippy! I walked around a few times and kept finding rooms I didn’t see the first time. Take your time and let everything soak in
Theresa Ricks
Everything was so amazing. The lights and figures was great. The museum is fantastic and fun. Really enjoyed it. Visiting from Texas.
Chris Nichols
Otherworld is a interactive museum, of sorts, billed as an futuristic entertainment center with 40 immersive rooms and interactive puzzles(I don't know if we saw 40 rooms🤔) of odd, weird things to look at and for kids to touch and feel, with some kid sized tunnels! It was really dark, so couldn't get great video or pics! Took about an hour and a half to go through the whole thing! I thought 30 dollars was a little steep for adults...children 3-10 was cheaper at 20 dollars! Tickets can conveniently be bought (and reservations for date and time slot made) online and stored on your phone for admission!
Chloe P
Ive never been to place like this before in my life. Its completely immersive and interactive the moment you walk in. So many different and cool concepts, design, art all inviting you to explore. Good for any age! If anything, it helps fill you with the wonder and curiosity of a child again. Would love to go back!
Heidi Anderson
Wow wow wow wow!!! Going in I thought it was just an art experience. I had no idea there would be puzzles to solve! This place is so amazing. I will come here everytime I'm in Columbus!
Beck Tolle
Absolutely amazing so much fun so much to see got some amazing pictures I will remember this place for years to come (but for parents with kids of younger ages like 2-5 kids might be scared by some creatures)
Ryan Mcclaran
It was awesome you definitely need a good amount of time so you can enjoy the experience. Yes experience!!! Something you will tell your friends and family about. Great Staff, 5 stars. We are so coming back. We are looking forward to going to one of the amazing creators social media page to see more of this coolness. Simply Amazing what you guys and gals do.
Tammy Havener
This place is amazing!! Almost everything is interactive and fun! It can be a bit overwhelming but my 7 yr old niece broke out of her shell pretty quickly.
Savanna
Visited for the first time today. Very cool experience. Lots to see, wish it was a bit more interactive and the drinks and food are overpriced but would definitely go back.
Yanoh Bah
This place is AMAZING! Can’t say enough good things, there is something for every age. If you like weird combined with mystery lab experiment, combined with exciting things to see. You will love it here. My daughter and I were in town for a graduation and realized this was about ten minutes from our hotel and ten minutes from the graduation so we came in at 10 right as they opened. I would say we stayed for a good hour and fifteen minutes and could have certainly extended it to two hours but I believe we were able to see all the rooms. One thing I would recommend is a map, I know part of the excitement is the shock in going every room, but we had a hard time determining if we had seen every room. Even if just a map with numbers to say room 1, room 2 etc with corresponding numbers on the wall so you can know if you have seen everything there is to see. Otherwise, we had no complaints.
Cara Nelson
One of the most fun and amazing art exhibits I've ever been to! So colorful, interactive, and fun! Be sure to bring your camera! And if you have white to wear I'd recommend it because it will reflect most of the projected lighting. Awesome concert venue as well!
J Jenkinson (Sword&Sorcery80)
Took my 16 year old daughter and had a lot of fun trying to figure out the puzzles. The artwork was very cool and I enjoyed the interactive nature. Several local artists were there painting and selling prints. I definitely recommend this for anyone who likes black lights and psychedelic artwork. A truly unique experience!
Autumn Nowak
I was so excited to finally check this place out! My boyfriend took me and we both had a fun experience. Every room is unique, interactive, and cool to look at. We snapped plenty of memorable pictures. Definitely a cute date idea
Leota Specht
So much fun. Such an unique experience and fun trying to figure out puzzles.
Adam Manchook
Theres no reason to not enjoy this! Good times ! 2 hours is what i think it takes to see everything! Check out some pics
Keith Alford
Really beautiful and different was an amazing experience and other than the steep price was very enjoyable!
Jorgi Porgi
A really cool interactive museum, took us close to 2 hours to get to every room!
Elizabeth Dawes
Very interesting rooms. I wish there were directional arrows for ensuring you see everything.
moonlightedstar
Very fun and had some of the best little gifts after. Would definitely like to go again!
Ross Bradshaw
Love this place, definitely worth the money, you could spend hours in here just exploring. All of the art is so gorgeous and well done. Amazing place if you like cryptic puzzles too. Will definitely come back again and again.
Tara Feria
What an amazing experience! I thought it would be just viewing things but the place has crawl spaces that take you to entirely new rooms. We were there for 2 hours doing the scavenger hunt and enjoyed every bit of it. Amazing job!!!
Gloria Kaple
Such a great activity for a family to explore together! I took my little ones, ages 1 and 3, with my husband. They had an absolute blast!! Some kids may find certain aspects scary, just a heads up. Also, definitely plan to have one adult per child because it's easy to get in there. 100% recommend for a fun and totally unique experience for a family or date night!
Sunshine Kovach
It was a surprise for date night! It was definitely worth it because I absolutely adored it. Clean. Not particularly crowded. Interactive. Hand sanitizer stations after each section. Temperature inside was just right not hot nor cold. My absolute favorite was the fuzzy monster rooms. Family friendly
Jason Kirk
So I know it’s super expensive, but it’s worth it! Really unique experience. We had a 19 yo and a 6 yo.. both loved it! It took us 1 hour and 15 min to get through. Probably could of spent longer just needed to head out for lunch! Really interesting exhibits, fun little rooms to go in and secret passages!
Mark Thomas
Where to begin. This place is a must in you're in the Columbus area. Very interesting and much, much more interactive than I had expected. My suggestion, touch everything! The more we went through the more I realized that almost everything had a function or reaction in some way. Lots of neat little puzzle and creative rooms. People on here complaining about price either way no appreciation for art or are just plan cheap. I felt completely comfortable with the price of admission, we spend roughly an hour and a half inside. There were some spots with kids just hanging out and sort of halting other people's progress but that's just the nature of the beast. Definitely a must see!
Sarah V
I came here last October and still think about it regularly because it was that amazing. I don’t know if it’s something I would do twice, but man was it cool the first time. We’re very much looking forward to going to the new one in Philly.
Highly worth going though- such cool rooms to explore, and the location near the closed target really adds to the aesthetic before you even enter the building. Fun for all ages (but not super mobility accessible)
Russell Sexton
I am 62yrs. old and i found this place to be amazing. Sci if fantasy and the light displays are COOL !
Crystal Collins
Now this place was a pleasant surprise. The location is slightly sketchy due to all the abandoned store fronts, but once inside, you’ll forget about the Outside world, lol.
Great family outing. We stopped on the way back from Kings Island. Took us an hour to get through everything. Wish they would expand to accommodate more rooms/experiences. Everything was so creative and exploratory. I wanted more!! We will definitely go back if the exhibits are changed out.
Definitely would recommend a morning time slot if your want pictures without crowds and photobombs! Lol
Gillian Harnett
This place is so cool! It is such an innovative concept for entertainment. There were so many children there and it was fun to see their joy! I think it was a little soon for me after COVID to be around that many people and non-cleanable surfaces. So if you want to avoid crowds dont go on a weekend! This is definitely a great place to bring kids!! I don't have child I just went with a friend of mine and we had just so much fun!!
End The limes
Absolutely worth every penny. Took my wife here for here birthday and it just kept going. Each room was unique and most had little hidden hideaways with special themes. 10/10 best art experience I've ever had.
Barbra Holycross
By far the best place I have ever been with kids. This has all kinds of different rooms and mazes and tunnels. Kids and adults alike will love this place. Lots of interactive stuff to do. All kinds of stuff to see. very interesting. Definitely gets my two thumbs up
Stephanie Willis.
I cannot say enough good things about this place. It is A MUST SEE!!
Absolutely love visiting.
Can't wait for expansion.
Please add to gift shop though. For such an interesting awesome place gift shop is sad.
funny farm123
Otherworld is a good place to go if you like sci-fi. It's very cool, just a little expensive.
Stephanie Cochern
We had a blast! Somehow we missed some rooms even though we wandered around for awhile. Make sure to touch lots of things, as lots of it is interactive!
fpsGamer70
Had a great time at otherworld during the cosplay happy hour. Really cool interactive displays fun puzzles some people solving them for me though.
Donald Schreiber
Other World is fantastic. I'm fortunate enough to live around the corner from it. Do not let the location deceive you. It's literally the only thing in an abandoned strip mall. The experience is best described as an interactive hallucinogenic trip/dream world. It's incredible. You can miss TONS of things if you are in a hurry or just not paying attention. It's best to take your time and explore EVERYTHING. I would estimate 60%-75% of the rooms/exhibits are interactive somehow. Some obviously, many not very obvious. This adds tons to the fun of discovering how many of the things work. It's truly OtherWorldly! 🤣
Maribel Pernia
Diferent place. It's like weird. Was enterteiment. I recommend it for young people, kids. It's a big place, a lot doors.
Erik
I've been twice so far and enjoyed it each time. As it is a semipermanent art installation you will see familiar things each time you go. They do add different features and reorganize things at times. As long as you aren't going to be upset if x% hasn't changed since the last time you went you are in for a good time. Enjoy the rooms, music and lights. Find your favorite place there and just take your time.
Edson._.61
It was such a great experience.
I had a lot of fun watching everything.
Make sure you take your time to appreciate every single room, it's worth it.
Feel free to use any of the pictures!
The gift store is kind of expensive though.
Michael Ley
Setting the entire family enjoyed and had a great time! Every room kept us wanting more and excited for what was around the corner. Loved the interactions in some of the rooms!
Johnny Adams
CRAZY! We took the kids and ended up crawling around like kids. Fun time on a Sunday afternoon.
DeAndrea Mays
Very cool place! Me and the kids were taken here as a treat by our family. Wear old nice clothes because it's a little physical. A little crawling and a couple stairs. If you're a germophobe wear gloves and a mask, you're in close proximity sometimes.
Tyler Savage
The place is awesome, exhibits are awesome, kids had fun only reason for 4 stars would be for cost but I understand. Times aren't easy but for a family of 6 ( 2 of us being 5 and under ) it was $110 and we spent a decent amount of time at each exhibit, and was still out just over an hour for total tour time. It is stroller friendly but there is a couple of places you can't get them through, not their fault just the way exhibits are made.
Jen BW
This is really a place for all ages, 1-99! It's fun, you can go at your own pace for as long as you want. My Grandloves and I went through a couple times and each time found new rooms, tunnels ( very sensory oriented) and activities, each room was a new adventure! I will definitely be bringing more family and friends back ASAP!
Kristyn Moore
I really enjoyed this place. The staff was friendly. Eat before you come here. A bag of popcorn cost $12 and you can't take it out of the lobby. Also suggest bringing a small pad and pencil if you plan on solving the riddle. Don't forget to ask staff for help if you get stuck or if one of the exhibits seem to not be working correctly. They get right on it and make repairs right away.
Veronica Waklatsi
This place was mind blowing! Shout out to everyone from the artists to the staff; your work is very appreciated! My best friend and I had a BLAST and can’t wait to come again! You seriously can’t take it all in in one visit because there’s much to experience and I can only imagine what the special events are like! Keep up the great work y’all!
Chloe N
I loved other world! We were passing through on an adults only road trip and had so much fun. Each room was an incredible experience and so well put together. I hope to get back here again. We went on a weekend and there was a wait to purchase tickets but the line seemed to be moving at a good rate (we had tickets in advance and got right in), the rooms were not overly crowded though if you want IG pictures you may have to wait awhile to get the best backgrounds.
Diana B
Absolutely amazing. We came at a busy time so it was hard to fully enjoy each room & really try to solve the puzzles within! We also had 2 young children with us. Kids loved all the art & that they could touch & interact with everything, so I'm grateful they had a good time. Overall the experience was great, just wish they didn't send different groups of people in all at the same time.
carolyne Herrera
Incredible experience. I would suggest to really take your time as there is more than what meets the eye. There are puzzles and they sure are difficult. My fiance and I went for the first time last year and spent about an hour or two just walking around and looking at everything. We thought we had truly seen everything. But upon going for the second time this month we noticed little clues hidden around the exhibit. We spent almost 5 hours this time and are excited to go back to solve even more puzzles that we've found. Nothing is a coincidence, keep that in mind.
Nikki Nieto
Had a great time! It's like walking through a maze and each room is completely different than the last. There's a bunch of little hidden tunnels and hidden doorways. The interactive exhibits were pretty cool. My kids ages range from 9-22 years old and they all enjoyed it. Overall it was a really neat experience.
Daniel Turner
The amount of care and detail into every corner of this place is beyond astounding. Worth every cent. Figuring out the puzzles inside was challenging and it was so awesome being able to walk around and solve it with my friends. Please take your time here and explore every crevice.
Karen W
This place is one my son was wanting to go to it was so fun and interesting to see. I will give you some pictures but they don't give the place justice it is so must better in person!! We were there almost 2 hours and saw people from 3 months to pretty old so no she limit young and old were having lots of fun. They also have a person that used disinfectant spray to clean the rooms so no worries when it comes to that. So I would recommend anyone to come here cause they will have fun 👍
Queenn Monica
Just go. I promise you will love it.
Ward H. Blackwell
This is probably one of the best museums I've ever been to. Very different and super creative. Wasn't sure what I was going to until I walked to into the installation and saw the maze of rooms filled with various art projects. My kids were blown away. My son 3, was running everywhere trying to see everything. My 1yo was glazed over as I walked her from room to room. I think I was just as mesmerized as she was. The staff was super friendly and they do a good job of walking around making sure you keep up with your kids. If you're anywhere near here or even driving by on the highway it is the must stop see.
Alex Boekeloo
This place is still sweet as ever. Such a great time and experience. If you love the abnormal and have a need to touch everything this place is for you. The best part is the themes change over time. Been here twice and can't wait for the next visit.
amy m
Interactive art is awesome. Definitely not like your stuffy art museums. Which are cool too but this was really cool. I wish it was bigger. I'll be returning. If your eyes are sensitive to light I suggest an ibuprofen before you enter.
Sarah Harley
This place is literally like no other place to go to! Its weird, awesome, beautiful.... It's everything! The imagination it took to build this exhibit is incredible. I would highly recommend for anyone!
tiffany pascoe
Visited Otherworld for an EDM concert which was after normal operating hours. We were still able to tour the various rooms while the concert was going on. Absolutely amazing. It truly is a science fiction fantasy land and one of the most unique places you'll ever see. Each room has a different theme full of fantasy and wonder.
writer1rex and the open mind
No photos attached because I think you should go there. It's interactive and extremely interesting. My only issue with the place is there is no true path to follow so you find yourself seeing things twice before you've seen things once. Also, I think there should be a time for just adults. All that being said... The cost is more than reasonable and I would have been more than willing to pay the extra ten to go after five. 25 or 35 dollars either way it was worth it. I found it not only walking me down memory lane but also brought the hippie out in me. I could actually imagine that some of the things inside could actually be like what it may look like on another world. I want my home office to look like some of the rooms inside.
Josh Rawdon
This place is amazing! It's unlike any place I've ever visited.
Sara Jones
So much to see, and just when you thought you've seen it all... you turn the corner and find a whole other world... absolutely love this place! Great family fun! We will definitely be returning! Can't wait to see the next world they are building!
Pamela W
Absolutely amazing. Each room is different and exciting. I just wish there were more guides around to show, or suggest the ways you can interact with the exhibits. I can appreciate that it's fun to discover secrets about the rooms, I just wish I had known that there were secrets to discover in the first place!! There are puzzles and symbols along the way which I knew nothing about. We absolutely loved it, but I feel like we probably missed out on 50% of what we could have experienced because we just didn't know how to interact with the exhibits. It is kind of pricey, but I've definitely never seen another place like this, so it's worth checking out at least once.
Cortney Miller
Very fun immersive experience. It took us about an hour to go through everything. We weren’t sure where we were going at first, as it’s located in an old strip mall. The outside is very deceiving, but the inside is very nice. All the exhibits are creative and hands on. If it was a little cheaper we would probably go again. For over $60 for two people, we likely won’t go back. It is definitely worth experiencing once.
Claire DeGraw
Super cool! A little pricey at $25 but my husband and I really enjoyed exploring all of the different rooms so it felt worth it. The pictures don't do it justice.
Dawn Kurchak
Very weird! Very cool! Great for most ages! Take your time and be willing to backtrack to find more spaces.
Lee Hasselbeck
This was a fantastic experience. We spent two hours here. To say this was interactive art is an understatement. So much inside reacts to your input. It's really amazing. You can take your own path through the exhibits, and each room offers something unique. There are even many puzzles to figure out to unlock special display events. It was very well maintained and clean. I would come back for sure.
Joshua Kossoff
My family and I have been to Otherworld several times. It's always a great way to spend a couple of hours. The exhibits are diverse, trippy, interactive, and ingenious. Between changing exhibits and sheer variety, we've found something delightful and new each visit.
An excellent use of the husk of a strip mall, even if the surrounding abandonment is initially sketchy and off-putting.
Maranda Locke
What an amazing display of unique art! Very well done and so enjoyable!!!
Amy Chamberlain
Incredibly creative and great for photos! However, the gift shop is pricy as well as the food, but it's nearby lots of restaurants.
Kate Kalejs
We spent the day here finding secrets, crawling around and having fun. Highly recommended.
Renae Newbill
Awesome adult playground! It was great! So many things to catch your eye and bring out your inner child! We were there for 3 hours and were never not doing something!
OUT N' ABOUT
Very interesting place. We liked it. Make sure you get in on a game of hide and seek...People are friendly here!! Hopefully your able to climb and crawl through tunnels. Very nice exhibits. Such a trippy adventure.
Kira Soleil
Eh. It was fun. What made it feel like an "otherworld" is the fact that it feels like when you drive up to park you've entered some kind of fallout territory. The exhibit itself is interesting. Having a strong Peter Pan complex will serve you well here. Pricey for the experience, but then again my husband and I are very very sober. You can take drinks in and they also have a bar there. Pretty neat (if ya partake).
There's hidden cameras all over - don't think you're getting frisky here! But everything, literally everything, can be explored. And that's pretty cool.
Jessica Swangim
Had so much fun with my girls here. Lots of laughs and pictures. Great interactive exhibit. Definitely out of our comfort zone but well worth the trip to discover and discuss something new.
David Kleiner
This place was really unique with a lot of interesting, trippy art. It left me wanting to see more. I would give it five stars if the price was less, or if there were more rooms to enjoy. It took less than an hour to explore every room.
Amber C
Absolutely loved it! If you like exploring and doing your own thing, figuring things out, crawling through secret passages, this place is for you. I went kinda late but, it looks like the had a food counter. They have a gift shop and oh so many stimulating lights!!! I took my son for his birthday and he loved it!!!
Cody Vogel
Very interactive. Try for hours that are not busy. It is quite an experience and there are many nooks and crannies to explore.
Wendell Shelton
Very interesting place to visit! Lots of interactive things to do all around the inside!
Laura Yanez
Interactive, puzzles, adorable in a creepy way. Entertaining and captivating.
Rachel Koser
Great idea for a date, a family day, or a group adventure! My son is going here with friends for his 15th birthday. It’s cool enough that teens can enjoy it, safe enough for little kids too. Good value for the price.
Drake Johnson
This place is amazing. Every exhibit has phenomenal craftsmanship, especially the ones that are interactive. Otherworld truly immerses you into a sci-fi/fantasy world that will blow your mind.
- The staff are very friendly and helpful.
- Otherworld does have good Covid policies.
Jozlantice Tucker
This place was super dope for no reason. Let me start with this story. As I enter with my boyfriend we were looking at a wall and two small children (4 or 5 years old) popped out from a hole in the wall. Like a tunnel system that let children just appear from the wall. We were stunned and stood there for ten minutes trying to figure out if the kids worked there. They did not. We spent our entire trip trying to find the tunnel system and finally we did. There are two or three hidden in random areas and it just loops you back to random points in the huge area. Honestly the place was so large we went to leave because we thought we had did the whole area and got lost in a completely new section. This happened a few times.
10/10 would recommend PS. would be super fun for all age groups
Sptz K
Very cool! I went in the morning on a date. It was a great experience. I hope they can continue to add on more exhibits, maybe even more interactive(already very cool). Great asset to columbus!
Jen Lake
AMAZING! An unique experience for sure! It is like letting your imagination run free with lights, mirrors, colors, fabrics, textures, sounds & such. Art on whole new level. Plus there so many rooms, doors & tunnels to explore. And you're encouraged to interact with all of the art!
Rachel Rapp
Such a cool experience and would love to come back!
Vicki Reissig
A very unique and interesting place! I wish that there had been a little more information about what parts of the exhibits are interactive. As a first time visitor I only realized those that were when experienced visitors pointed them out to me, so I probably missed a lot. Definitely a GREAT place for kids!
Joann LaCourse
Place was amazing I took my fiance for a date and we both loved every minute of it. So much to see and so many exhibits throughout the place. I absolutely am a fan of the mirror rooms. I loved the colors all around the room. So much you can interact with. Will definitely go back again.
Rose Frederick
Interactive and fun. Great family or date spot.
Brian Wood
Very interesting art exhibit featuring 40 full interactive rooms. Great way to spend a rainy afternoon. I was visiting Columbus for a work trip and am very glad I stopped by upon a recommendation from a local.
Christine Gibson
Kids and adults in our group were intrigued and engaged the entire trip. The self guided tour let's you explore anything and everything! Many places would be hard to access if you have limited Mobility, some secret rooms are tight and involve crawling. We enjoyed exploring and finding all the secret rooms!
Rick Girt
Very trippy, tactile, and inspirational space to chill out in for an hour or two.
JTRamsey
Oh my gosh this place was completely amazing me and my girlfriend went on a day here and it was literally a new experience this place is worth the money merch and all this place has the best type of unique art styles and so many twist and turns around the entire place of your surroundings you should really go more than five times because we definitely plan on coming back if I could give this more than five stars I would I definitely recommend for anyone that's looking for something new to try
Janice Demint
My family and I had a blast. There was so much to do. There are parts of the exhibit that are interactive and made it super fun for my teenaged kids. We will definitely be going back.
Rory Ware
Otherworld is an amazing place for all ages to enjoy, they have rooms specifically for children, while the rest of the area is for the children at heart. They host 21+ shows there some nights, and are becoming the best music venue in Columbus, and soon Philly.
Jason Wells
Great place to visit if you’re into weird, crazy, unique, cool, mind bending, and curiously interesting things. Kids and I loved it! There are things you can do in there if you want to try to figure them out. Spent a little over an hour in there to get it all in. We even went back through to ensure we didn’t miss anything. Kind of sketchy driving into an abandon shopping center but they did an amazing job with the building on the inside. Highly recommend! Kids will love it!! My 14 year even liked it!!
Glitch InTheBody
This place was amazing, breath taking, and a whole lot of fun. It was interactive in every room, and the tunnels are great to go through. It is also plus size and wheel chair friendly.
Matthew Maynard
Otherworld is hard to describe. It's a bit like walking through a video game designed by David Lynch. From the start the lighting, scenery, and ambience combine to disorient you and send a chill up your spine. It might be a bit too intense for very small children, but my very sensitive 7 year old loved it. Rooms lead to long hallways and open spaces with secret passages and hidden interactive sections interwine throughout.
At first it all seems maddeningly random, but there is a unifying theme and a mystery to solve. Discovering these adds another element of fun to the overall experience, but is not necessary to enjoy the experience. The whole experience will probably only last a couple of hours, so this is easy to fit in before a movie or dinner, or other things you might want to do while visiting Columbus.
A lot of work and creativity went into the design and construction of this multimedia attraction and it shows. The team that created Otherworld deserves the attention and acclaim they've received. I highly recommend Otherworld for adults and children of almost all ages.
Tha Vado
It was ok, but the price of admission was a bit high for the kiddy experience. I saw a lot of kids just sitting on the benches in the lobby on their phones. I guess it's exciting if you're into the otherworldly type of thing. I thought it would be more interactive.
Scott Hoerner
I took my 4 year old grandson there today. It was neat in general and he liked it. The bad thing is the nasty overwhelming smell of Marijuana throughout the entire place because of all the dope heads that feel they need to get high in the parking lot which you can smell as well and go in there and trip over the lights. Definitely not worth the money that's for sure especially when you drive an hour and 20 minutes 1 way to deal with that smell.
Tyler Bruno
I think it's a temple to the intergalactic rabbit. My sister came up with the idea to go. Very glad I had blind faith in this specific instance. So much fun crawling through the tunnels and circling around and elsewhere. Watching some other people uncover deeper layers and some shown by the guides. But we all shared a bewilderment.

Totally awesome experience. It is great for all ages and it's very interactive. Took me an hour and a half to go through everything. Though there are many seating options to sit back and take it all in. Definitely might be a bad trip on acid just to warn y'all. My son who is three months loved all the colors.
Amber Manion
Such a great experience with friends or family! Originally we visited with friends and had to go back just to take our son!
Chad McCann
This place is wild, had a great experience. Definitely meant to play tricks with your head. We spent hours finding hidden passageways and rooms to explore.
James Doyle
What a cool place! You can go with young kids or adult friends and have a great time either way. This place is filled with interactive exhibits and puzzles, and it so much fun to get lost in.
It sounds kinda pricey at first glance, but I promise you'll get your money's worth so long as you're not a complete stick in the mud.
Simeon Klimasewski
Great experience, but skip the drinks as they are small and overpriced. Really fun with a date. Maybe about 1.5-2 hours to go through. Ticket price felt like a good value.
Ryan Randall
Beyond amazing, a huge intricate interactive art piece. There are details and bits of plot everywhere, so many tiny easily overlooked details. You can feel how much love and passion went into it. They constantly add new things, theres a whole team of artists working on it. The immersion is some of the best I've experienced. The puzzles are a fun encouragement to examine everything and discover the story. I've spent more than 10 hours here so far, and I still want to investigate more. There are loose books in many of the rooms, even if I'm not interested in the topic I've found myself flipping through them to understand more about the Otherworld project.
I cannot recommend this enough, for all ages. Even if your kids are too young to get into the plot and puzzles, there are still so many fun interactive pieces to play with.
Absolutely worth the $22 admission price for adults, especially since its supporting the fantastic artists building it.
My advice if you go: Touch everything. Interact with everything. There are endless things to discover everywhere
Leanna Palacio (Lea)
We went on mother's day, looking for something interesting to do with visiting family. When you pull up, you see what looks like a mostly abandoned strip mall. When you enter, you realize why that is with just HOW large this attraction is. They knocked out the walls and made what feels like a section of Wonderland. There is so much to see, and almost all of it is interactive. Each room is a different experience. Plus, there's an overarching puzzle if you know what clues to look for. Definitely want to go back to try to solve it.
J S (KidKwik)
Pretty cool place to check out. Hard to track where you have been and going so you most likely will miss something.
Kevin Argauer
Really cool experience! Fun to walk through or you can follow the story. Leave no stone unturned!
Alex Vega
Deeply immersive interactive installation art museum. There's tons to see and experience inside on any normal visit. Snag a ticket to one of their music events and it's easily my favorite music venue in Columbus these days. Great sound system and unparalleled ambiance!
Nathan Schubach
Wonderful walkthrough experience through multiple creative rooms (which were essentially art installations). Day-Glo painted alien rocks and plants, disheveled science laboratories, and a kid's room that's been taken over by a giant pink monster...that's just a few of the confrontations you'll confront when visiting this sprawling exhibit. There are a few surprising effects that leave you wondering if it's like a haunted house, but it's really not. The price is worth this one-of-a-kind experience perfect for kids, and almost every room had full sanitation stations to use after you touch and climb and crawl everywhere. It's a lot of fun!
Jeremiah Lear
A little dirty and very busy during the day on the weekend. Your better to go a lil later! Keep your mask handy and some sanitizer. Lota of things to touch and look at but u can go thru quickly and lots of stuff is cheaply made but looks cool. Kinda high price for what it is!
G Combs
Took us an hour to go through the entire exhibit. We even went back through just in case we missed something (which we did), be sure to do that!
We enjoyed every room, happy to see sanitize stations everywhere.
Wes Clark
This place is soooo unique!! As soon as you walk in you get transported to another planet. There's so much to do in here and it's all stuff that people of any age would find interesting! They also have a bar, and I highly recommend the Speaker Box Old Fo!
There are A LOT of interesting rooms and "secrets" that you can find and solve. We spent about three hours inside to do everything, but it would also be enjoyable as a quicker experience.
If you want to get the most out of it, pay attention to everything around you instead of just aimlessly wondering around. There's a neat story behind it all.
Brittny Sparks
WE LOVED IT! Everyone should see this place at least once. So much detail. So many things to see. Hidden doors & tunnels. Fun for any and all ages.
alexa koromos
So we came for a show & went for the immersive experience before that. The show logistics were horrible. If you are thinking about going to a show here, don't. It's really difficult to get to the bathroom and they sell over capacity for sure because it's impossible to even get to where you can even see the stage. Obstructed view is like the entire main floor and the sound doesn't flow well at all. As someone who frequents shows I was NOT impressed with the experience, it sounds like a good idea but the actual functionality of it is so bad.
Stacey Horn
This is a neat place, there’s something for everyone, my kids enjoyed it, it’s handicap accessible which is very nice, the only thing I didn’t like is walking into rooms and seeing teenagers acting like they are getting ready to have sex, the exhibits are interesting and definitely make you feel like you are in a science fiction movie which is my style! I couldn’t see myself coming here often but when they add new exhibits I’ll visit again.
Victor Arellano
Really fun experience! I’ve been here before with my friend and we came back to see if there was anything new. Some new sections were added, but some were removed and left empty. We can’t wait to see what’ll be new next time!
Eric Luzader
It was great, wield place that allowed you to interact with the exhibits. While being able to mess with people the the cameras and buttons to activate compressed air to scare people (so i don't recommend ladies wear skirts or dresses) it was all around a great, weird experience.
Buford Payne
This is the most interactive art museum that I've been to. It is amazing to see the creativity of the different rooms, tunnels, and exhibits. Some of the rooms have interactive walls and floors where a simple touch will create sounds or display color on walls. I recommend Other World if you want a fun date night or family outing. Those who love art, black lights, or futuristic themes will thoroughly enjoy themselves.
Jaci Martin
I love this place. I went 2 years ago and had a great time. Just went yesterday and noticed that a lot of the props and interactive pieces no long work :/ The giant dolls in one room used to move and now don’t. The flowers use to inflate but are now just wrinkled up. The carpets in the crawl spaces have large stains on them. The inflatable clouds are really dirty and one appeared to have a red smear… The furry monster in the bedroom- the fur is a bit matted with a black film on it, I assume from how many people have touched it, the dirt built up. All I have to say is, I really hope that they work on this maintenance because I, and I know everyone that visits has a memorable, unique experience. I would hate to see it slowly fall apart. It’s the little things you notice that can make a huge difference.
Heather Boggs
Amazing, the kids loved it!! We will be back. There is nothing like it at all. All the hidden stuff is fun to find, and everything is interactive. Literally the best museum I have ever been to
James Woolery
This place is awesome. Definitely recommend, we went for a show and toured the museum also. Really neat interactive exhibits, kids would love the experience.
Ryan Ross
Definitely a cool spot to check out! Went on a Monday. Perfect. Not too busy. Adult and kid friendly. For 22 bucks... It's well worth checking out!
Miranda Steier
We went to Otherworld in a fairly large family group that included a toddler. We had a great time there together and everyone was engaged the entire time. You are encouraged to touch everything so it's pretty interactive. The rooms with light displays were very well done and some of the artwork is quite beautiful. The various rooms are incredibly creative and, combined with very fitting background music, it really can feel otherworldly at times. We loved exploring all of the rooms and took lots of fun family photos. Our toddler absolutely loved it from the moment we walked in. He loved the light displays, the open spaces, all of the different touchable textures, the tunnel like spaces that we crawled through together, and the fact that each, next room held a surprise. We stayed for a couple of hours and felt it was worth the price. There is a small cafe onsite and plenty of outdoor parking.

This is a very amazing place . So many little things to adventure into . The fine details of the place is what makes it exciting. Take your tone while walking around never know what you will find or discover. This place has no age limit honestly would be great for kids or adults . We drove about 2 hours away and was not disappointed at all . Will visit again with the kids .
