Reviews of Ohio Village
Tracy Nicholson
Ohio Village is always a great place to visit. It's truly like a step into the 1890s. You can buy candy at the candy shoppe and talk to the town journalist. So much fun!

We have been to the All Hallows Eve event several times before covid. Went tonight and still my family had a good time. The food stands were really good but prices were crazy. It says it's wheelchair accessable. Well that was proved wrong tonight. My 12 yr old has a hard time walking around due to health issues, so we took her wheelchair. I had a very hard time pushing her around in the gravel and almost all of the ramps I had to make her stand up to get her chair over the bumps. We got to watch the telling of Sleepy Hollow. I remember it be a lot better in the past years. All in all the kids still enjoyed it.

Went to All Hallows Eve event and it did not disappoint. Such a great time!

My mother recently was interested in getting a small pickup vehicle. We were greeted by David who helped us look at some Gladiators. David was great in explaining the features and making sure we understood the vehicles capabilities. Considering my mom was not 100% sure on what she wanted, David helped tremendously in helping her narrow down the items he did and did not want in her new vehicle! Thank you David for being so patient and helpful!

My family went for the all hallows eve event and it was very busy. I could tell it was geared toward younger audiences in some parts. The lights were on at a stadium nearby so there wasn't really that dark. The retelling of the legend of sleepy hallow was the main event and was very good. Actors were there and riding horses, including the headless horseman.
Annamae Mckerns
Attended the event called Halloween Eve and as always, Ohio village does not disappoint. It was so much fun especially with all of the children and adults who dressed up including me. Can't wait for their Christmas event!!

This place is awesome! all the NPCs are so friendly and nice. I had lots of questions and they answer perfectly. They know their roles and act well in this small village set up. I want to give them more money to support this place.
Ralph Rust
Great historical village with a nice museum on Ohio history. We went for the coffee festival which was wonderful for any coffee lover with over 30 coffee stations and several food trucks.
The winter village is also delightful for a traditional, historic Chirstmas celebration.
Crina Seran
He took the time while he re-keyed our new house making sure we liked the look of each fixture. He did a great job and was great at explaining what he was doing. We'll keep them in mind for future locksmith needs!
Jak Browen
The technician communicated quickly and gave us a solid timeline when I locked my key in our rental car. Process was quick and the price was better than our roadside assistance. Would recommend them for sure.

This is a great place to visit. We went to the village at Christmas time.
Nikki Byrd
We went for All Hallow’s Eve and had a wonderful time.
Nathan Brown
It's a neat place, it reminded me of what Carillon park is like in Dayton. Which I feel is a little bit bigger and better.
We went for the Dickens of a Christmas. It was over crowded in every building, an couldn't really enjoy anything. Didn't even see any Dickens character's. Saying that it was a let down.
Cody Richards
One of all time favorite places to just exist in. Even though it's in the middle of the city, it still somehow seems to hide itself to sell the illusion. Definitely recommend their Halloween and Christmas events!
Katie W
Went to the All Hallows Eve and Dicken's Of A Christmas events, which were a lot of fun! Will definitely do it again next year!
Nick Wilder
Love their Halloween event
Ashley Daubenmire, RA
All Hallows Eve was so great! Great information and the storytelling of Sleepy Hollow was just wonderful! Recommend for all ages!
Mark Hoffman
Was here for the 2022 Columbus Coffee Festival - got to taste plenty of good brews - Tinker from Indy was the highlight - also got to meet a Coffee Brewer with the same last name as me - too cool!
Ben Lewis
A great place to learn about late 1800's Ohio. Events are always fun and well done.
Breana Higgins
Had our wedding here and it is the best venue ever! Loved the church, reception space and the coordinators made our day stress free. They were great to work with and so kind! An affordable venue with character.
Frank Lowe
We went for the re-telling of the Headless Horseman for Halloween. Incredibly fun and simple. Easy entertaining evening.
Adena Gwirtz
Visited the village today for coffee fest. Had 26 different coffees. Tried them all and got sick. I'm talking hangover, destroying 70's pavement along the way home. I don't regret a thing, I just can't have coffee for a while. Anyways awesome place to have festivals and visit
Brant W
Always enjoy my time here at the different events they put on throughout the year.
ron k
It was ok for this time of year, bit cold and muddy. I'm sure more enjoyable in warmer weather.
Megan Fiscus
I have volunteered here for a few events, and it's always been a positive experience. It is very family friendly and the history buffs they have as docents and actors are very much into their craft, so you will find out interesting details about the time period and usually do a fun activity as part of your learning experience.
David Gubanc
We attended the Dickens Christmas event, which started with a fabulous buffet brunch at the American Hotel on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 11am. Went with our neighbors, and had a great time. Always fun watching the kids participate in activities like making ornaments or decorating cookies that were practiced a lot in the past. We go every year.
Liz Love
All Hallows Eve was so much fun! Definitely loved being a professional mourner!
Tony Matthews
Great place to visit, especially during special events and festivals. The people that work are very nice.
Ivey Hunter
The coffee festival was a great experience! Will definitely return.
Trina Williams
VIP assistance due to handicap, had the perfect seating placement for restroom access. The menu was fine, portions more than ample.my two suggestions are the use of cloche domes to keep dinner plate hot, and guarantee the Dickens carolers to appear. Next yr., Will book earlier for brunch, as we did several yrs ago. Price went up, payment due at booking, so be prepared to spend over $115 for two at brunch, more for dinner.
Jaime Francis-Love
Went with the whole family. Loved all the old-style buildings and characters in period costume. Goes quick if you don't stay and chat with the "actors". Lots of cool artifacts, etc. Enjoyed the visit but a more active town scene would be cool.
Robin Craig (Amy)
Great Time for their Halloween Weekends. Informative, Relaxing, and fun.
Wildcards Rex
Haven't been to the Ohio Village in years! We volunteered the other day and the staff there were extremely helpful and kind. Lots to do for the families also.
Martha Beckett
Went for a wonderful class for Pysanky Eggs. After the class we could walk around the village. So much fun!

This place is amazing! The historic buildings and wooden walkways make any festival come to life. I went for the coffee festival so they complimented the many roosters and rooster/shops.
Michelle Cook
My family loves loves the village and the museum so much! My kids learn so much about how life was in the 1890s and they get to see how their great grandparents lived
Don Powell
Nice thematic event, especially with various artisans.
Cheryl Bruce
-Nice to have gradual reopening. Limited time stamped tickets helped spread out visitors and felt safe with our masks.
-Take out lunch from the Emporium was delightful under blossoming the trumpet vine arbor.
Michael Wiseman
We went for the Halloween haunted tour with a 7 and 4 year old. They both enjoyed the tour and stories. My wife and I enjoyed it as well!
Evan Fouch
Took my daughter to Storybook village. She had a blast for an 18 month old. Staff were nice and interacted well with kids of all ages and needs. Might not be all that exciting for adults but it can definitely be a good time for the whole family.
Lorenzo Pascual
Excellent friendly presenters with a lot of knowledge to share with you. They made 6 hours full of questions and curiosity go by very fast. My family and I enjoyed every minute.
Deborah Rolsen
Great place to visit. My kids loved the history. Most of the "townspeople" were very engaging, especially the teacher in the church. A few talked above the kids heads and rambled a bit.
Alexis Elizabeth Lynch
Absolutely amazing experience during their holiday events. The Halloween Legend of Sleepy Hollow is unlike any other in Columbus. My family's favorite is The Dickens of a Christmas. If you're a fan of the book "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens then this is the event for you. Caroling, horse drawn carriage rides, hot wassil, crafts, St Nikolas, a Victorian promenade dance with live music, and the best part, costumed character straight of A Christmas Carol. My family has gone every year for almost 30 years now. Wouldn't miss it for the world.
Greg Burkholder
Fun family historical adventure. Tucked in right between the state fairground and the freeway, this little village was a great learning experience for my kids and myself.
GoodLife TV
Very friendly and informative workers! My kids love the games and interactive nature of the town.
Roger Lederstein
The Ohio Village has changed since the last time I visited a while ago, it has moved forward in time to the late 1800's.(1898) It was a very interesting tour with demonstrations throughout; wood stove cooking and baking, blacksmithing, and an game of early baseball. I highly recommend going to see and learn how our families had to live and work in those times.
Adlai Stein
Had a great time at the Halloween event.
Ask Me
Live exhibitions, knowledgeable people, fun topics to learn about and history playing out right in front of you. Get the membership if you're going to come back again or see other sites in the state. It's well worth it!
RL Gent
We visited today and enjoyed our time there. The blacksmith shop and all the other stops were quite enjoyable. We entered Ohio Village through the Ohio History Connection which is worth a visit in itself.
Jack Davis
Went to the Columbus Coffe fest put on by Columbus Underground. Great experience. Was able to try a large variety of coffee blends from local roasters. Am a huge fan of Coffee Crafters in the Third Way Cafe at Westgate. They were there serving local roasts as well. The event, put on at Ohio Village, was a huge success. I can't wait until next year.
sycamore man
Had an absolutely wonderful time on my school's trips there. This sort of blast from the past exhibit is wonderful if you're into that and I hope to go there again real soon.
Sara Niemi
Great, especially for history lovers. Re-enactors were friendly, fun, and informative. Kids would like it too.

Wounderful place to visit. Our civil war group had a reenactment there. Wonderful experience. Check this place out.

Ohio Village is a trip through time! My first time was during their Christmas in the Village and it was magical! One of the first real snows of the year with perfect snowflakes augmented the period dress, chestnuts over the open fire, and caroling. Ohio Village hosts multiple events throughout the year. It has been a great location for Columbus Coffee Fest, which was a magical experience itself. Easy access from the freeway, plenty of parking, reasonable prices. A great place to visit!
Nancy Sweeney

He arrived exactly when he said he would. Diagnosed the trouble as an attempted break-in. Set to work immediately, and with the appropriate tools, put the door back into working order. Efficient, friendly and a fair price.
