To quote the founder, “It is an independently run museum whose mission is to capture a “...slow-motion cataloguing of the quotidian–a detailed, theatrical expression of gratitude and love for the minuscule and unglamorous experience of daily life in all its forms.”The museum's focus is to highlight the beauty in everyday objects that are traditionally overlooked or taken for granted and does so by creating public exhibits, writing articles and manifestos in their philosophy department, and by creating and doing live performances.” Think about pencils, scissors, miniature things and a dragon made from tinfoil?? It was back over the winter and I forgot to review when we went to Glover. I remember ready about this odd, cool, artsy museum and thought! Yes!!! I have to pop in! And yes, make a donation! Usually only one other couple or family in there if that, Glover isn’t a huge town, heck Vermont isn’t a huge state! So give this little museum some love! Pop in for even :30, you didn’t think of it! Take a photo for Instagram or for your Nana, heck take your Nana, then go to lunch!!! Go, enjoy your day and don’t for parking is easy and the museum is fun!😜

One of the strangest and yet most fascinating places I've been to. Lots of odd and weird stuff on display. You really have to stop and read about what it is to really appreciate it.

A quaint collection of, as the name suggests, everyday life. This museum walls the line between weird collection of random things and actual informative museum nicely. To me the little things we barely notice would be great to preserve, as it shows how we've changed over time. What was it like to brush your teeth decades ago? What did people carry in their pocket or suitcase? Neat things like that are fun to see. Plus, it's a donation-based museum. It's worth a quick stop just to see what it's all about!

Funky place. Inspiring and whimsical. You can come in, turn the lights on, pay if/what you wish, buy the postcards as well. Little area for the kids in the back to cut snowflakes during the exhibitions featuring scissors.

Worth a detour! Such fun to read the humorous signage on the random pieces in their collection-- plus it's free. (though recommend a donation!)

Worth visiting when you want to contemplate the everyday and seemingly mundane. A lot of thought goes into the collections being exhibited here, making it a worthwhile stop to ponder the ordinary (or kill time while waiting for Hill Farmstead to open)

Well now.... That was... Something! 😳😆 Get ready to embark on a rambling tour of assorted human items of utter obscurity! It's a beautiful drive up to this location, be ready for a couple of barn rooms of old, odd, random and assorted items both whimsical and gross 😝 Perfect for a Sunday adventure if you're within a couple hours drive! I would not suggest bringing young kids/toddlers though, they would likely be bored instead of entertained by the quirkiness, and there's too much stuff easily accessible to small hands that they might get into... There's a great pizza place also quite randomly a few miles further down the road, Parker Pie, we heard about though we didn't stop. Good way to make a day of it!

If you're at all like Rick Ross, then everyday you're hustling. I certainly recommend you eventually pause, slow your role, and visit this museum. It very well may broaden your perspective in surprising ways. If it opens your mind enough, you may enjoy the Bread and Puppets museum down the road afterward.

What an interesting concept for a museum. Seemingly mundane items we use everyday given a new twist and new stories. Take your time and read all of the placards and letters associated with each section. Every item will evoke a special memory from your past and eyerolls from your children. It's a beautiful drive to the secluded spot, and worth the free admission (but please be generous with your donations). We need more places like this.

We visit MEL every year , charming ,self serve, compilation of the off beat . Humorous and human. This year we made the rounds seeing Bread and Puppet and Stone House museums along with MEL , a very pleasant Northeast Kingdom trio . Bookended by local breakfast and lunch stops and a farmers market side trip for dinner ingredients . Good therapy, love Vermont!

Private collection very well done, even if in an open barn welcoming the elements of wind and temperature. Everyday items and some curiosities are displayed. I enjoyed strolling through this. By ( well deserved) donation.

definitely not for the scared type. lots of interesting exhibits but super creepy and eerie. went with a family of four (2 kids 15 & 13) were super creeped out by some of the stuff, otherwise interesting place definitely different and cool.

Right down the road from Bread and Puppet, the exhibits are interesting and make you stop to think twice about the small things we all do in life. I enjoyed the exhibit on lists the most, I think.

Very nice, relaxing break, to look around and think while you look at clever and creatively modified everyday items, and more. No set price, there are suggestion for donation in a Bin in the front.
