Reviews of Larz Anderson Auto Museum
Amazing museum! Although the collection is small, it is well curated. Additionally, the property and architecture are beautiful. My favorite part of the museum is their lawn events and cars and coffee. They always have amazing turnout and I am always amazed with the cars that show up.
Became a member this year of this treasured museum in our back yard. For those of you who follow automotive history you will be amazed at the state of preservation and the rarity of this important and early collection.
Former curator Evan Ide who is well known for his work at Bonhams and fielding notable Pebble Beach entries, still has a soft spot in his heart for this gem of an institution. He has helped promote the museum here and abroad, and it is finally getting recognition as one of the truly distinguished collections of its era.
Plenty to do here as well with events and activities for all levels of enthusiast. We recently attended the German Car Day lawn event and that was amazing with a great group in attendance. Please support this important institution so we can pass it on to future generations.
The perfect place for a date, car enthusiasts, or anyone who appreciates fine motors. The cars are all vintage, on loan, and the museum regularly changes its cars on display which is so great! During the summertime they even host their Cars & Coffee lawn events, so there are always year round activities for you to enjoy.
Attended an awesome
Wedding ceremony in a really cool, historic unique place. Awesome for holding a venue - but also got to see the great collection of really old cars!
Larz Anderson.
What a place. Constant car meets, gathering, social events, and big plus, a beautiful venue.
Make time to actually checkout the museum collection as well. Its a rotating collection, and don't miss the downstairs.
If you really like the spot, they also have memberships. Cool place to take your guests and car enthusiasts. Also the venue can be rented to host events. Just pro tip. If you do an event, try to pick a NOT a hot day. You can thank me later. 👍
Went here on purpose, but not as expected. Fewer than 25 vehicles are on display here, very different from what other photos in the review show, and the outdoor area is not open. Ticket prices are slightly higher than actual value.
Not exactly a car enthusiast, but was amazed at the history related through the vehicles. The museum is pristine and worth the trip! The Andersons were truly amazing humanitarians, we all could learn from them. Will definitely return.
Lovely museum. The lawn events here are wonderful. Finding parking is usually challenging but not impossible. Great overall experience for car enthusiast.
Places awesome it's a little bit of a reprieve in the heavy Communist environment in the Boston area. They actually love things with engines
If your into Automotive Events this is for you multiple events with Great Spaces To park Amazing Park & Museum Check it out

Nice small museum filled with older model cars and some more modern ones. Took a pack of kiddos ages 4-12 and they all had a good time. They are not allowed to climb in the cars or touch them though so just be aware of that. It's a quick tour of between 45 minutes and an hour but lots to read about and learn. Small gift shop by the entrance/exit.
Fantastic place for the museum and the car days. These pics are from the Miata Day there!
Great example of automotive history. Nicely curated exhibits. Lawn events are the big draw!
Nice place to see some cool history. Car and others items.
Great but very tiny museum -- only 10-20 vehicles on display when we went (including some rare motorcycles that were on loan). The vehicles on the first floor are in pristine condition and the history behind each is really interesting, but there isn't much else to see.
Great place to visit and love the park. Bring your kids and have a great time.
A nice little collection of antique cars.
As a car guy this was a great museum to visit. The collection of antiques and display vehicles was awesome. Lots of automotive history. Beautiful place with plenty of parking. Pricing is great and they even offered a free Friday during the summer. Nice way to spend a few hours with the family.
Well kept event space for automotive events like Tutto Italiano, Cars and Coffee, and German Car Days
So beautiful and amazing!! We came for a wedding.
This is a beautiful building that I'm very glad was made into a museum so the public can see inside. My mother has taken me here many times as a child and I've come back as an adult very frequently. There are some really cool old cars and it's worth checking out the museum itself. I prefer to attend the numerous car shows that happen throughout the summer/fall and the museum is the perfect backdrop for any car foreign or domestic. I used to attend shows here almost every week because there are multiple hosts of the car shows, but now I only attend the official car shows of the museum because they are run very well, considering the challenge they have with space!
Visited this unique site for the first time, it’s about an hour from home. Went in search of this specific car show of micro cars and explored the antique car museum and grounds. It’s affordable and a nice museum collection of some very unique cars. At this show there were friendly car owners, they gave rides! The grounds and gardens were obviously once very grand and it’s sad to learn of the history and demise of facilities. Still it’s obviously a well used and enjoyed place which met the intent of the owners - for the enjoyment of all.
One of the best transportation museums that I have visted. They change the theme of transportation so it's never the same from year to year. The buildings history and architecture is a cherry on top.
A beautiful and impeccably curated automotive museum. with a small but powerful permanent collection, and a wonderful rotating exhibit with numerous relevant motives of automotive history. the museum shines all year long, but especially in the summer with its exciting lawn events that draw hundreds of participants and thousands of guests.
A must for auto enthusiast, and a joy for newcomers.
Located a few minutes from Boston is this museum of antique cars. I went on a free admission day so not sure what they charge to get in. They have two floors of antique cars dating all the way back to 1899. The top floor changes the lay out often I was told by one of the employees but downstairs does not. It's a nice place to visit, you can bring some sandwiches to have a picnic in the upper area as they have a park and big yard for that.
During my visit from this place, I saw cars in their original condition (just what they looked like at the time when they were bought).
Very interesting. You will see two electric cars and you will know Tesla (the company) was not the first to come up with the idea. The gentleman who works as the docent is very friendly and knowledgeable.
There is only one reason I rated 4 stars instead of 5, and that is because I was expecting more cars. Number of cars here was not what I hoped for, that is it, no otger downside, and yes J enjoyed it and recommend it to everyone. 😁u
Always a good time while visiting Larz Anderson Auto Museum
Did you know there were electric cars in the early 1900s? You can see two of them here in the permanent collection! And the upper galleries change regularly too. Go see America's oldest car collection and learn about how far (and not so far) the auto industry has come. Great for the kids who like cars, but it's not particularly catered to young children who might want to touch and get into the cars however.
Really neat museum, even for non car enthusiasts. The collection is pretty small. You can go through it under an hour, but the exhibit rotates. The best part is the themed lawn events, but they can be hit or miss depending on how popular the brand is (Japanese Car day was much bigger than MG Day).
This was a really fun discovery. While the collection is not huge, the story is wonderful, some exceptional automobiles are in house and the architecture is gorgeous.
If you are a car afficionado, this is well worth the stop.
You're into cars? that's the place to go! You're into beautiful parks? That's the place to go as well! The Larz Anderson Auto Museum is one the most beautiful auto museum that I've ever gone. Locals: you can always use the discount pass available at your BPL branch.
Love the cars, new and old. The grounds are beautiful! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are an issue. One ladies room? Not the best idea. Went to a private function there many moons ago. It was a greqt place for that, but thwy had very strict policies.
A must see for any car historian or enthusiast. I came here for the first time on Miata Day. $12 per person, and that includes admission for the event and the museum. I got here late when some cars already left but there were still plenty on the lawn, hood open for the engine to bask in all the glory. Some cars were modded while some were near stock. Everyone seemed very friendly, though the good vendor was charging an arm and leg for a sausage (and it was cut the long way so you really only get half).
As for the museum itself, it's in the old carriage house. On display were some incredibly rare cars, that resemble horse carriages except without the horse, and even 2 electric vehicles way ahead of it's time. The first floor had plenty of cars over 100 years old. The second level had some beautiful Ferraris, motorcycles, model cars, other memorabilia. Third floor was restricted to employees only.
Definitely worth the visit. I didn't explore the rest of the park but driving around the area, it seems like you're much further from Boston than you really are.
I’ve been heading to Larz for years! The exhibit is always top shelf! The cars and coffee, lawn events are a must attend if you love cars!
If you like lots of shiny old cars you’ll be slightly disappointed, but if you like original condition cool cars from the early 1900s you’ll be happy.
Super family friendly place. Different car exhibitions during the summer and fall season. The museum has the kind of elements that a car lover would enjoy. Bonus points for the park right next to the building.
Hadn't been back at the museum for a while, but went back for the British car lawn event, fantastic turn out with some amazing cars on show, fun :)
This was my first time going without a lawn event. I wanted to bring a guest who was staying with us. The museum was quiet. It eas nice to spend more time without too many people around.
Larz is a great car museum and hosts great Cars and Coffee events/"days". Would recommend!
If you love cars you need to go see the museum. They also have great lawn events throughout the summer
The European Motorcycle show was great. I have been there a couple times over the years and always enjoy it. It's a beautiful place.
Excellent as always. German car day.
A collection of nice old cars
The Larz Anderson Auto Museum is home to "America’s Oldest Car Collection". For more than 85 years the Larz Anderson Auto Museum has been supporting the community through a variety of educational programs, exhibits, and lectures.
Really cool place, awesome architecture! The history of the cars is cool too. Very nice grounds to walk as well!
Had a great time at the German car day event. Will definitely be going back for plenty more. Museum was definitely worthwhile, especially seeing a lot of Larz's cars from the late 1800s and early 1900s.
This place was awesome when my brother and I took my dad for father's day this year. Very affordable and in a beautiful and convenient location. The cars were very cool and very old. The staff was fantastic and more than willing to provide additional info on anything related to the museum. Will definitely be going back to hit some of the shows they have on their lawn and likely will be joining as members to keep this aspect of history alive and well
Such an out of life experience to go back in time here with cars! Absolutely would recommend to anyone interested in cars of any kind!!
Swedish car day and the museum were amazing. Such incredible machines and enthusiasts
Great place to visit. The events are great and the park is fantastic to sit and relax when there is nothing going on!
Cool personal car museum although a little far from downtown, but definitely worth going and they have a lot nice old magazines.
The lawn events are always fun. Great collection of cars and very friendly people.
The entire venue was interesting. The open door and museum portions were cool. The concept of having others come and share experiences and stories is so fun. Great for creating a community. People and children of all ages were there when I went and it was just lovely to see everyone share the love of cars.
Smallish but very interesting collection, from stream powered to century old electric vehicles.
Love to see all the antique cars close! Great history!
The lawn events make it most interesting for me. If you like early autos, you might like the museum more than I do, and I consider myself a car guy.
Not a bad trip. Not nearly as many cars as I thought there would be. Lots of history.
A small but very fine collection of historical automobiles.
Had a great time for the Ducati release of the new bike f
Amazing place. All car meets are pretty good organized a
I attended a wedding here so I don't know the cost of ordinary admission. Decent display of some very old cars. If you love classic cars you will probably enjoy it here.
I stopped by the museum today because I was in the area helping a friend and I have been meaning to visit for years. So many gorgeous automobiles to view. The admission fee is only $10 which is a bargain for the Boston area!
The presentation of the exhibits is really well done. Top it off, you get to see the inside of a gorgeous old building that is in amazing condition! I spent a little time thinking about what it was like when there were horses in the stalls instead of these gorgeous antique cars.
I very much enjoyed looking at the original Guinness ad prints with the editor's notes and being able to see the erased marks. It helped me understand more of the story.
I was so intrigued by the stories of the lives of Larx and Isabel Anderson that I bought their biography in the little gift shop and I am not a fan of biographies.
I look forward to coming back in the summer to enjoy the car show events that they have on the lawn.
One of the best places for car shows. Great enviornment, great events, and amazing cars
Exceptional displayed-vehicles and historical information. Lawn events are well represented, frequent and fun. A community museum at its roots.
Beautiful place with park and fountains around... Amazing collection of vintage cars and modern cars... I loved the vintage setting... A place to visit...
Great place for a morning out when there is an event in the lawn.
Loved the Ducati show
Great lawn days , fun to hang and see all the amazing car and motorcycles
Was half off because several cars missing. Very small modern collection but very interesting original collection from as far back as 1800s
Always a great time. Very fun events and they have a pretty solid collection.
This museum has both beautifully restored and maintained turn early 20th century automobiles as well as a separate collection of original condition earlier automobiles that were owned by the museum's namesake. If you enjoy automobile history then you'll want to make time for a trip to this museum.
Fantastic... must see. !
Great little place to visit. The cars were spectacular.
An absolute gem! Have been coming here since childhood, moved to West Coast, but when I came back made sure to check it back out. Great car meets, and fantastic lactation. Which and hope more people will start other small car museums with their collections🙄 …
No words could describe that place, everything in there was so amazing, glorious, felt like I was in a different world!!❤❤ can't wait to go there again and again...
Great collection! They have electric cars
Great little museum! Lots of cool cars and old old autos. Definitely worth a visit, 10 bucks for adults, students 5 and free for kids under 6 years old. The park surrounding the museum is really beautiful, if you come on a nice day it is perfect for picnics.
If you love cars then you should not miss one, or for that matter any, of the lawn events! In all my gawking over the years at these events I only was dissed by one jerk owner and he was a guy who was one wheel short. (Can you guess his car?)
A very beautiful location to visit. Looks like the drained some of the water out. Only two ducks there.
It's smaller than other car museums that I've been to, but it's on a beautiful property and has a lot of older cars which are fun to read about. You only need about an hour to tour the museum, but if there's an event or the weather is nice, you can easily spend a half day touring the grounds.
We got a pass from our local library so we got to visit for free. We took our boys ages 11 and 7 on a weekend. It wasn't crowded at all maybe only six or seven other people that we saw all day. It was a great place to visit and seeing all of the cars from so many different eras was just incredible. The boys (and mom and dad) had so much fun looking at all the different vehicles. Absolutely recommend
This is a great place to learn about automotive history and have great events. Stealing is very friendly and helpful.
Great little museum to check out some really cool and old automobiles. Student discount makes is very affordable at only $5. Make sure to check out the gift shop at the end, which is filled with old car magazines and vintage posters available for purchase.
Great museum!
Volkswagen bus show is Great!!
Managable size and rich contents with many cool cars.
Perfect for the car enthusiast. Lawn events are awesome. See videos at the v12s TV Channel on ROKU.
I enjoyed the building as much as the cars!
Great venue, lawn events are a must.
It's a beautiful building and a nice collection but seeing everything only takes 5-10 mins maximum. Not sure if the price is worth how short of a visit it is.
The museum was amazing ! Lots of cars in a small space. Thought it was a little pricey but I understand you need that to take care of all those amazing cars. Definitely worth the visit!
Hidden treasure. Didn't know about this place till recently, but I really enjoyed my two recent visits, even though I'm not really into cars. The park around the museum is beautiful-- stunning in the fall. The museum is small but the building itself is interesting and the contents remarkable.
Incredible location for any corporate or private event.
Amazing and beautiful collection! Great facts about the Larz family and history.
Hmm … 'kay. I guess this is a great venue for special events (which they do have often). But I was there on a day without a special event. This left the regular assortment of cars for viewing. That took me less than an hour, and left me underwhelmed. Well, I guess the sheer size of some cars from the 1910s and 1920s was noteworthy.
Granted, there are some interesting vintage posters on the walls, and there is a collection of old enameled badges with international motor-club logos. Is that what you go to an auto museum for, though? Oh, and the poster I found most interesting—a Packard ad—was located in … wait for it … the men's room! Meaning, many visitors won't even see it. To make up for that, I am including it here.
Fantastic museum, that I feel doesn't get the foot traffic it deserves. Lots of rare, limited production vehicles on display, including many that are among the last few in existence. It is a personal collection, so the cars do show some wear, which is really cool, because it shows these cars as vehicles used as vehicles, not just spotless museum pieces.
Summertime every weekend is a car day
Hidden Jem small but worth the time
This place is really cool. An old chateau style carriage house full of cars ranging from the first car pretty much ever to modern super cars. Also makes for a great venue for events (like a wedding, which is why I was there)
We got married at Larz Anderson Auto Museum this past August. We had a our ceremony at the park and our cocktail and reception at the museum. We could not have been happier with the venue and its staff. Working with Karen Hasenfus was a pleasure from the beginning of our process. Karen and her team's professionalism, assistance and care resonated until the last guest left the venue ten months later.
We had an 80 person wedding inside the carriage house, which we thought was the perfect size. The main room overall flowed nicely and did not feel tight at all, while still maintaining a decent size dance floor. If considering a summer or late summer (when temps are slightly cooler) reception inside the museum, we recommend upping the suggested 2 fan to 3 or 4. It gets hot in that room, but that is manageable.
Other than that, you can count on a beautiful and super cool venue; and a timely, responsive and informative group to work with at the museum.
I went to the micro car event, and it was much more than I expected. Things that I didnt expect were free rides in alot of the mini/micro cars, and the ability to look through the whole museum for only 10 dollars! All together it was a great experience and I might become a regular at this museums events.
Always nice to visit Swedish car day!
Fun car museum, love the events and car shows. For events like Cars and Coffee, a lot of interesting cars show up for how local it is. Personally, I think they don't change up the main exhibits that much, but I understand that, museums can be hard to operate.
The inside of the museum is even more amazing than the outside, with incredible woodwork throughout. The museum's personal collection is incredible, with cars dating back into the 1800's. The BMW/Porsche exhibit they had was equally as incredible, showcasing mint examples of both. Definitely worth checking out!
Not enough cool cars.
Beautiful grounds great place for a function
Head up here on a lawn event day and get wristband admission for the best value. You can visit the inside of the museum and see unique cars parked outside for the event - you get two things to do for the price of one. You can bring your own car if it fits the lawn event guidelines - yeah, your aunt's old Plymouth is an extinct brand, even that would work! I will be bringing my Foxbody for Ford Lincoln Mercury day this summer. Great place to visit for auto enthusiasts in Boston.
Lots of cool stuff worth checking out.
LOVED IT. PLANNING TO MAKE REPEAT DRIVES BACK HERE AGAIN. ITS AN ESTATE AFTER ALL, A MANSION, AND IT HOUSES CLASSIC CARS! 😎👍 …
The place for car fans & historians of any era! Always interesting weekend events (when scheduled). Car collection which resides in lower part will bring you back in time. Family membership is well worth it for me.
When you are going here it is certain you will have a good time. Both the lawn events or just visiting the museum never get boring, even for people that could care less about cars. Highly recommend.
Amazing venue for motorcycle events!
Beautiful grounds for a car show on the lawn, but the staff who work in the museum are very rude. Went up to the desk and the woman working it was too busy checking her Facebook or whatever on her cell phone to acknowledge me until I said excuse me.
Loved the museum itself and all that it had to offer. I really enjoyed Ducati's event. I am Elliot Feyjoo's Fiance, GM at Wagner Motorsports, we were more than pleased. Looking forward too it again in the future.
If you love the automobile, this place is for you.
Beautiful grounds, and always different things to see. New variety of vehicles almost every weekend in the summer. German, muscle cars, Italian exotics, Great Place to see cars of all types
This place was amazing. We went with my 7 year old and we were a little worried he would be bored. We were dead wrong he was very excited to see the Anderson family collection and was thoroughly engaged in the exhibits asking questions and making assumptions. Thank u.
My favorite day of the year. Porschefest.
LOVED IT! Went to the German car show and had a great time! Parking on the street was challenging but completely worth it to see all the cars, and the museum inside was incredible.
Great place to visit if you love cars and history without the usual rush.
A annual favorite for any car nut. With cars and coffee and with a different highlighted marque every Sunday, this is a pretty amazing spot just outside of Boston. Spend the extra 20 minute ride and hit the North End for some fantastic food and pastries.
We were there for Volkswagen Transporter Fest! Always a great time, the grounds are beautiful, what better way to spend your day than hanging out with a few hundred VW Buses!
Great history, outstanding architecture. Best $10 I've spent in ages
Unique, inviting and an automotive treasure chest for any car enthusiest! Basement feautres the oldest car collection in america and the main floor is an annually rotating exhibit. Weekend events are truly world class, check out their website for the most up to date car show schedule, and they host fantastic cars and coffee events too.
I thoroughly enjoy the Lawn Event car shows. Car guys will love these events especially Tuttuo Italiano. Very enjoyable show on lovely grounds and changing displays in the museum keep us coming back.
I went here for an event
I've been a member off and on for years; third lawn events during the summer are the winners here. Go to the web site for listing of the events. My basic problem with them is they want to charge for everything. Nonmembers get charged $10-$20 to go to a lawn events that costs them minimally. As a member, they run lectures, but they charge substantially for them. Their vehicle selection rotates, but is very limited.
Swedish Car Day was lots of fun! The museum appears very active and my husband loved seeing all the mint condition antique cars.
Always a wonderful place to visit. The place has such a warm feeling and the exhibits are always interesting.
Pricey for what you get. The car community that hangs out there is very knowledgeable and happy to talk. Always a good show.
Wow, this place will blow your mind. If you enjoy looking back in time this is it. Plus they also offer themselves to our Ducati owners club NEDOC to stage events there. Love this place.
I've been to Swedish Car Day three years now and every time it is enjoyable. The museum is beautiful inside, as well as the exterior.
Nice museum, nice auto/motorcycle shows and a nice park.
We went to a lawn event. The modest admission price also granted access to the museum. There is an impressive collection of cars and artifacts inside and that alone is worth the price.
Always a great place to bring visiting family or guests. Or spend an afternoon by yourself. The Anderson's were an impressive couple from back in the day of wealthy Bostonian socialites and we get to enjoy their generosity even today.
We were able to get in for free with a reciprocal membership. Had a lot of fun with my kids for about 45 minutes. The attached park is a lot of fun.
Beautiful building filled with antique cars and trucks. They even have a collection of toy cars and trucks.
Love this park
Always a great time, great rotating displays of all types of motor sports. If a group of cars is having a meet there it is worth the trip.
Great day! The museum was wonderful
Lovely spot for the Cars & Coffee event. Huge turnout, lots of exciting cars. Wish there was tea for those of us who prefer it to coffee, though.
Great place to wander around and the lawn events are awesome.
Very cool early American cars museum. I was here for an event and enjoyed it. There are a wide range of cars beautifully restored.
Interesting collection of personal cars plus rotating special exhibit. Permanent exhibit cars are in unrestored condition. Beautiful setting, no A/C,. no elevator.
Great collection of classic cars, well kept facility, and very informative staff. I'll definitely be visiting this museum again.
Larz Anderson Museum with or without the lawn events is worth the trip.
It is host to Cars and Coffee events and other educational and community events.
Be sure to drop by at the museum and park to catch the view of beautiful Brookline and Jamica Plain from top of the hill.
Top quality car exhibits and gorgeous grounds. Octoberfest was great.
It is not a huge collection but it's really interesting. In my mind worth the price of admission.
For cars lovers it is a must
Small museum with a lot of gorgeous old cars. Parking can be hard when crowded. There is a seasonal ice skating rink nearby and a public park.
I go there every year for European motorcycle day. I highly recommend it. Inside they have one of Michael Schumacher's Grand Prix Ferraris I forget what year.
British day, lot of beautiful MG'S Jaguars, Bentley. Museum was very interesting and staff was nice.
Has a great car collection displayed in an interesting stone mansion. Interesting car shows on the lawns each weekend in the summer.
I grew up in antique car circles and helping my grandfather restore and maintain our own 2 antique cars and this was one of the most amazeing antique and historicle auto collections Ive ever seen
A fun, affordable place to learn about cars. The lawn events on the weekends are a great chance to see classic cars and meet enthusiasts.
If you love looking at older cars and rich estate grounds visit on a warm sunny Sunday and you won't be disappointed great neighborhood also and bring some friends
It was like being a kid in a candy store! So many awesome cars. Lamborghinis Ferraris and my favorite, American muscle cars! Great museum.
Great little museum. Went here for Swedish car day. Good turnout good grounds and nice exhibits in the actual museum.
Lawn events, member shows, cars and coffee... The events and shows this museam puts on are worth the membership alone. The history and beauty of the building and the grounds don't hurt either
We enjoyed our visit to the museum. Such wonderfully restored autos and the grounds is beautiful.
Beautiful location in Brookline with an amazing selection of vintage automobiles. I've attended several lawn events here and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great lawn event for all ages. The museum I would say 5 plus would be a good age range.
Great place, tons of amazing things to see. Cars and Coffee is my favorite thing there. The building had amazing architecture too.
Lawn events are the best in the summer. I enjoy that museum every time I go. A must go for car enthusiasts.
I attended the Japanese car and motorcycle day. It was inexpensive and fun. The staff were very accommodating to my granpa and I.
The collection is about a dozen or so cars. Most of the collection is of pre war cars. If you have been to large auto museums with hundreds of cars you will be disappointed by the larz anderson museum.
Such a cool classic car museum. Only only classics here. Not one millennium car. Nor 90s and 80s, possibly 70s
Beautiful setting for car shows
The lawn events are always a good time
Sweedish car day! @Larz Anderson Auto Museum.
Great place for education and understanding how developed car's industry around the world.
Beautiful exhibition of classic cars in a majestic carriage house. The collection is not huge, but what they have is really impressive.
Beat car/bike collection in the Boston area. Cars and coffee events are great. I recommend going to one of the special car days.
Miatafest!
Great place to spend time with family and great events.
Fantastic place with an important collection of of vintage autos, and breathtaking rotating exhibits. Probably an hour at most for all but the true aficionado.
Swedish Car Day was great! Very well organized! Can’t wait to visit next year.
The place is nice, but the collection is pretty poor. They only had muscle cars and mostly American cars from the early 20th century.
Quaint and interesting. A good museum for a slow day. FYI, its a $15 entrance fee.
It is a great place to visit to see the history of the automobile. Their lawn events are outstanding.
Nicely done, lots to see.
Lots of old cars in pretty good shape. Worth stopping by if in the area
I just went to this event with my friend and it was awesome!! A lot of great and beautiful Italian cars.
Great to share with grandchildren in the winter and for the summer lawn events.
This is a great auto museum, with many of the original Anderson family vehicles on display, and is located on beautiful grounds.
Enjoyed triumph day very much would have liked to have seen more participants and a few more Tr 3 s otherwise it was triumph heaven
Beautiful old cars from the Golden age.
Great park and property. Great view of downtown Boston from the hill. Especially great venue during car shows.
Absolutely fantastic museum! Always a great time at their lawn events.
Very interesting place... even if you aren't into cars!
I was blown away, the car with the toilet inside made me imagine just how far people had to travel back then, pretty neat idea 🤔 …
The place is very interesting but not huge. Super cool cars though
An amazing place to visit and view some of the most beautiful and historical examples of automotive design, especially the lawn exhibits.
Great place to visit if you love old cars!
Nice piece of history in Brookline. Amazing collection of old automobiles. Perfect amount of time for a 5 year old boy.
A truly unique collection with an interesting history behind the museum.
Great place to visit for lawn events. Microcar day is a unique show.

Transporterfest
Cute little museum. A little expensive without the library pass, but a good way to spend some hours with the kids during the winter time. Age 6 and under are free. I took my toddler who is obsessed with cars. Please note you cannot touch the displays. However they did have a nice little kids corner set up with books and a few toys. I saw on their website that they do kids events and storytimes as well on certain days. Their special lawn events are fun for the kids too in the warmer season. They let my toddler sit in one of the cars during that one.
