Reviews of The National Great Blacks In Wax Museum
Naomi Leonard
They are currently doing renovations, but the museum was a good place to visit. The renovations will be done by the end of the year if you wanted to wait to see the updated facility. The museum showcased a variety of influential African American figures. It also showed how slaves were treated before and when they came to America. They also hold tours of the place. The wax figures looked eerily real. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who would like to learn more about black history.

Such an eye-opening, unique experience. I'd love to see this museum expanded to more space and exhibitions. There's a free gravel parking lot nearby, which was convenient. Overall, I'm satisfied with this museum and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone!

Great Meusuem, I am a person of color and did not know most of the people in the museum that were a big contribution to helping colored people succeed.
Just a word of caution, the ship and downstairs show sensitive information and art works, think twice if you are going to bring a young one there. All in all props to the artists who made things work!

It’s an interesting exhibit. They really tried explaining the African Americans narrative from being brought on the ships to present day. It’s just a pity the building was undergoing repairs outside so we almost missed it and the wax figures some looked worn out. It’s a great place to visit to learn so much history but the place looked quite worn out in need of funding or help.

Old building. Has an old smell in the air. It was tight and cramp. They had a wheelchair but there was no way a person in a wheelchair could get around there. My youngest son held on to a rope banister that led to the downstairs and it unfortunately gave him a splinter. They had QR codes for the waxed figures that did not work. After my son stop crying from the splinter, he still enjoyed the waxed figures so that was all that mattered to me. But I would not visit there anytime soon. They have to update the building.
Nicholas Miles
such a cool museum with a surprisingly large collection of wax figures. i hope they can raise enough money to expand the building as described on one of their flyers.

The National Great Blacks in Wax (NGBIW) was not only fascinating, but it was also emotionally charged. The wax figures (especially the slave ship figures) brought their agony and suffering to a whole emotional level. My only concerns about some of the displays are the some wax figures had a few issues. Mostly misfitting clothing, and broken fingers/limbs. Otherwise, NGBIW is a must visit when you're in Baltimore. Also beware that the building is in the middle of remodeling. There's scaffolding at the front of the building so it looks as if the museum is closed. It's best to call before traveling there.

Let me start with saying that the museum is packed with information and history; some facts that were known and some that were new and enlightening. I’d list it as a must see, at least once, simply for educational purposes.
Now, Upon entering we were not greeted until we walked to the window; and even then it wasn’t very welcoming (more like we were bothering them from watching their phone while the museum was completely empty).
The building itself is very drafty (a tad more drafty in random areas) and dusty. It also has an old/dated smell.
The figures could afford some grooming and or updating . Likewise a few of the displays could use a good dusting.
Overall a few small tweaks could really be beneficial to the museum. I would not recommend strollers and or wheelchairs, it just would not be feasible in the building.

The last time I visited was in 2006. I was in high school and we stopped in MD during our HBCU tour. Going back as an adult was just as great. Educational. Recommend it to all willing to learn black history.
Eastside Maryjane (Eastside Maryjane)
What a lovely experience to take your kids along for. Very educational and provokes many conversations while there and for later on. A collection of black history and facts all in one place is very uplifting to the community that it is in and the one it services. Always a great thing to be reminded of where you came from.
Nicholas Coleman
The stories told are worth the time to explore. It is amazing to see something dedicated to the black experience and black history. The museum needs support to update the facility and the exhibits.

I was born in PA but my grandparents are from Mississippi and Louisiana respectfully. I was taught about slavery, and the Jim Crow Era and Civil Rights but visiting this museum opened my eyes and mind up to so much more that I did not know about. Every American should visit this museum or museums like this.
P C
A great experience and I encourage everyone to to see.

We took our daughter to visit this museum yesterday and it was a wonderful experience. Beautiful, life like wax statues that appeared to be 'watching' us. A bus load of eager school children on a school trip were being given a tour with a knowledgable guide who explained the exhibits and was very sensitive to their ages, letting them know they were safe and that everything was a a recreation in wax. They had a slave ship you could walk through with chained wax figures and written narrations of what it was like for the captured Africans in those conditions. Towards the end we were very emotional and I cried leaving the lynching exhibition. This is a place All people need to visit, but especially people of color. I plan to refer people to this museum and return myself in the future. At this time they are asking for donations to expand, so I ask that everyone be generous and donate as will I.

I hadn't been here in years. Recently visited during a college sponsored trip. Upon entry, I was disappointed with the way the young lady conducted business in the ticket booth. She was not very professional and had little kids there with her. Not irritated by her having kids there because sometimes, as parents, we don't have a choice. Also don't know if this is a perk associated with working for a family owned business. I was more dissatisfied with her professionalism. Our tour guide was an elder named Nat Williams. He was charismatic and knowledgeable combined with deep Baltimorean charm. Ask for him when you book your next tour.
A few other things that could stand improvement are the upkeep of the exterior of the building, the wax figures/exhibits could use some maintenance, and the gift shop needs to be up and running.

I've been to this museum twice and both visits were profound. Very educational... parts of US history that many want to forget but should never be forgotten. This visit began with a guide that spoke about the initial exhibits. He was awesome in his explanations. We were then ushered into a replica of a slave ship where me met one of the founders who gave details on this part of the museum. She was great and provided a feel for what it was like to be kidnapped and enslaved in this way... after that we were left to roam and read for ourselves. Most of the exhibits were well captioned. My issues were the crampness of the museum and the low budget feel... other than that it was very educational and interesting to see so many familiar faces in Wax.
M. Patterson
It's open. It doesn't look like it but it's there and open. However, it's underwhelming and nothing like it was a few years ago. Granted, they are currently renovating so no access to the upper floors. Due to water damage (as per the nice man at the front desk), you can smell it...the old basement smell. It's also dark and dreary. Again, I'm hoping they fix it up. More importantly, go and support. Let's restore what once was.
MiMi Chabeau
Every HUMAN being should see this museum and a must for persons of color. Graphically and visually displayed to feel and imagine what my people endured and presently enduring. The staff was friendly and the guide was more than knowledgeable of Black history. The museum will be modernized in the upcoming year let’s not lose focus of the message and information that is presented in this wonderful, food for thought exhibit!!
Amleset Neguse
Second time coming out, powerful display of African and African American people who did good by doing well and did well by doing good! Must See! Love bringing all my family who's in town out to experience history from ancient Kemet and Kush to present day.
Ronika Bates
This place is powerful. It informed me about people that I have never heard of that fought for our freedom and killed on our behalf. I also learned important facts about history that I was never taught. But if you are reading this, they are in need of donations for a new facility. I believe you can just go on the website to donate. The facility needs work to make it a more modernized and fresh environment. Definitely go visit.
Sahon Johnson
I absolutely loved this museum and learned new information, the tour guide should get a YouTube video to bring attention and awareness to this one of a kind experience and hopefully get more funding to expand
Bay Blake
My family and I came here to share the experience with my daughter of how her ancestors coped with life and what we had to endure. Some of the exhibits are falling apart and they desperately need to be maintained. Outside of that, we still enjoyed our time there and it's just as I remember when I was in school 20+ years ago.
roody morales
This is a very, very special museum. Very unique in presenting the history of black Americans. It is rough around the edges but it is powerful and has impact.
J K
This was my first time here I definitely enjoyed myself besides it being hot inside
Andrae Taggart
Love the place! So much history in the building does really open your eyes. Makes you want to be a better person and help others also. But building does need a remodeling job soon. Maybe we can all donate when we leave at the box so they can fix it up. Thank you guys for the history. We will be back!
Kiki w
Love the museum, very informative, and the lynching exhibit was very heart breaking.
FAY E.
My first time here. For Black Americans, this is heart breaking experience as the museum also displays historical accounts, artifacts, and pictures of lynching (men, women, children) and slavery. The hateful, evil, despicable behavior of whites will forever go unmatched. Study every picture and read every line.
shameek marseille
For as many years as this museum has been established, I have only just visited. It was very informative and was much larger than I expected. I am excited about their expansion .
Michael Dantzler
A very informative museum on the greatness of black people from the motherland of Africa onto our bloody, many time deadly journey to the Americas. The many major contributions we continually sow in the USA. The full truth, good and bad is told here. Thank you for educating us!
Lisa Neal
This is a hidden treasure for knowledge about African American history. Be prepared for graphic illustrations, and original artifacts from slave trade. There are also uplifting aspects where you can learn about what has been achieved through adversity.
Ted Kidwell
This is an excellent place to visit for all persons of all ages and with so much to see you will need to spend at 3 to 5 hours here. We spent over 4 hours here we probably did not see all we can't whate to go back to here this is a great place to see those you may have hured of from history. This a must visit for all people and all age groups. The staff are very helpful. I highly recommend.
Wolf John
There are few places that cover the expansive history of Black diaspora, let alone in wax!
This place is perfect for school trips, but some areas may not be appropriate for those under 15 years of age.
Rasta Natty
Very educational. So much that blacks went through so that other black people can be free. At the end of the day we are all humans and no race is superior than another.
Shalonda Maynard
The last time I've been here I was a child now im married and brought my husband here. We have two completely different backgrounds and im glad he was here to get more educated on African American History ❤ Great Job Blacks In Wax !
gye maat
Wonderful experience. Way more elaborate than I thought it would be. Worth a visit or multiple.
Ms. Krissy
Best experience I could have ever given my children and it was my first time there too we really enjoyed ourselves!!!
Trey Trey
EXCELLENT!!! There were 25 of us in our tour group. 'Chulo ?' was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable, with a perfect mix of seriousness and humor. I would go back again and again because there is so much information, but I was visiting from out of state. A definite stop for anyone living in or visiting Baltimore.
MC Godson
The location is not that great but the museum itself is very intuitive and informative, I really learned a lot being there inside of the museum which is clean and nice on the inside also the ticket takers and guides there are very polite. I’d warn though that if you bring your young kids it may be scary plus a little uncomfortable for them of course.
NuttinBut Suga
Truly a hidden gem! Looks small on the outside but pleasantly surprised by the use of space and number of exhibits. The exhibits on slavery are raw and uncut so it may be hard for some to look at, but it's our history. Cosmetically, it's no Smithsonian, but worth the trip.
Diane Arnold
Enjoyed my tour very much. It was emotional at times. If visiting Baltimore, NS., please add to "tour to check out."
Stephanie N Joseph
Visiting the museum and watching a movie about slavery was definitely different. The experience was a shock to my emotions very heart wrenching, it was too much to mention right now,but I would suggest going to the museum.
Piano Melo
Sensitive audiences be warned. The museum has some pretty graphic and disturbing displays when it comes to the suffering and torment of black people. I did enjoy reading about the more positive displays, but I don't recommend this place for people like me who are easily triggered and upset by violence, blood, etc.
Mrs. “Diva Dev” Sims
This place is a hidden gem. If I was an investor, I'd definitely invest some money into this museum. They have pictures throughout showing how they would like to expand. I pray someone with some deep pockets invest soon. On the other hand, the exhibits were great! The museum takes you through time. Definitely something our black culture needs to see. Kudos to the founders!
Cherished Vessels
It's located in a part of Baltimore that may be less than desirable for some, but this museum is a must go to for those interested in the African Diaspora and the history of their descendants in America. It's truly a one of a kind place with some of the most disturbing images that I've found on the subject. The museum is small (we were able to get through it in 2-3 hours) and can use a bit of updating as some of the exhibits are showing wear & tear. They do not have an eating or dining area & the gift shop was closed on the day we visited. The only bathrooms are located at the exit/entrance & they look like elementary school restrooms, but they were clean. Overall, a great day trip! I'll never miss a chance to enjoy this museum & hope that they can remain open & continue expanding their exhibits.
goldschool
Visited this museum today and it was very informative. There are three levels of information and exhibits displayed. Mahalia Jackson, Booker T Washington, Barrack Obama, Mary Bethune, Jesse Owens, Ancient Egyptians, slave displays, FUBU and Exxon founders, etc. There is a lot and it's worth a visit. The museum could definitely use a renovation. The smell of dust and anything ancient lingers around. Some exhibits didn't have lights on them so people passed by without knowing they were there. Parking is free and admission was $15 per adult.
Yahne Young (Yahneezzee)
This is someplace I'd recommend all my Caucasian friends come to get a true look at American History and the Black plight. 🇺🇸
Zebulum Harris
Great historic experience. It's unfiltered in the depiction of over 200 years of the black experience. It can be quite graphic and disturbing but historically accurate.
Morena Tunky
Still looks the same. We're all should be donating to keep this going. I was here over 20 years ago and it was important the children saw it also. Great experience.... I won't share all the photos... you need to see it physically! It's a must
Honey Brown
The best place for familys to learn black history not taught they don't have the opportunity to know in school. I really love it my second time going I cried. But that's a part of the experience it emotional.
Chadwick Monard
Pretty good experience, it does look a lil old and tired though. Overall great place to read and learn about the history Africans.
Blake Wilson
More persons definitely should visit to support this institution. I haven't been since a school trip and I got more out of it as an adult. I loved the exhibit documenting the histories of Egypt and Ethiopia. The museum does have its campy moments but I do find it to be a more nuanced and honest telling of the African diaspora than the Slavery+Martin Luther King=Obama narrative.
Sean Johnstone
This museum is a great experience for those looking to understand the history of Blacks and African Americans in this country. A good balance of story telling and figure highlight, there's a lot to take in. A must consider of the city
Reginald Oberton
Needs some TLC wax figures need help. Place is falling apart. $12 dollar entry fee.
Denzel R
I loved it, very educational. I like how you get to see the wax figures of these important African American figures up close. The map they give you help you keep up with the time line of events. The last stop in the basement you get a sense of the violence that occurred against African Americans. It was a feeling I won't forget.
I highly recommend this museum and it is a great spot to bring younger people. This place will provide some great visuals into African American history.
Elizabeth Leftwich
Nice ,very interesting and informational. Every young and old should experience it. History
Rhonda Warner
Wax museum is a wonderful place to learn history. Located in Baltimore city. It is a hidden treasure. Full of wax depictions from history current. It is inexpensive. Worth the time to learn, to listen and become a part of your history. Recommended for educational purposes
Mz. Bailey
I just love this museum and the founder Dr. J. Martin. I've visited this place several times throughout the years learning something new every time concerning our history.
Quita84
This is an amazing place. My tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable about everything. Myself and my children were educated very well on our history, giving us more of sense of pride in ourselves and our people. Will be going back to complete the tour ...
A Mason
This American history and it should also be taught in public schools!
Mwalimu Priestly
Very interesting place. I felt a connection to this museum years before i even decide to visit.
relica85
I had an emotional visit. I will bring the children in my life here. No matter how hard things are now, it's incomparable to what was forced upon my ancestors. Only issue I had was cleanliness of the bathroom.
Atiya Shahid
A true gem! I would recommend everyone go at least once, prioritize a couple of hours to go through the museum and learn about many of our pioneers!
Christina J
I had a great time. Our tour guide was very insightful and energetic. I would recommend this museum to others.
Samuel Chambers
Mid-sized museum featuring many displays, including many wax figures of Black's who have made significant contributions to America's history. Also includes scenes depicting those enslaved during the voyage to America, and on plantations. Of significant interest to those interested in Black history.
Miesha Collins
This was an awesome experience for our youth!!!!!!! The information was very informative and they now appreciate how good they have it!!!!!!!
Kermit Putman
Great exhibits of black history..Very Interesting
Minchington Israel
What a great educational tool to learn about Black history from the beginning of time through the slave trade and the civil rights era to the very present.
There is scope for improvements and maintenance so let's hope benefactors will step forward to help out.
Jamere Miller
The tour guide really made this place his knowledge of the statuettes draw you in and beware for your children because he keeps Real!
Jonell Malone
A most go if you love learning and you most know about your history it's key to empowering yourself! BECOME WOKE!
Greg Ellis
My daughter and I had a fantastic experience. We both absorbed a great deal of information. The exhibits were set up well and the information was presented in an interesting format.
I am definitely going back and I Highly recommend the museum.
Laneisha Taylor
I loved it. Wish they had a guide, an open gift shop and they need some remodeling.
David Shipp
This place is amazing, the information attached to each Wax figure is mind blowing.
bambi wiggins
Now this museum here....... when I lived in Baltimore I probably came here like every month. Now that I'm in Virginia I go whenever I can. When you say a real life experience this definitely touches the souls of many black people and others who care about the Black culture. I will definitely be back and bring as many people as I can each time I come. I am looking forward to the expansion. Hopefully this will become the most famous blacks and wax museum.
Carolyn Brown
We found our Tour Guide, Mr. Kulu, to be well versed, knowledgeable in our history & very helpful & patient with mature citizens. We learned so much & look forward to coming again. I will continue to share this information with the community. Thank you. ⭐🤗😊🌟 …
ghostboogie62
A Spectacular Place, there is so much to learn about African, and American History, Racism, and Culture. In the event that you get the chance to visit this Museum do go.
Daryl Nitz
Very small museum. Interesting and thought-provoking. Sparsely-run.
Jocelyn Norris
I appreciate the history, but it needs alot of work to the facility and the displays.
Keena Minifield
This place is amazing! There were a couple figures and descriptions missing but nonetheless, the tour guide was knowledgeable and the museum itself has history! My dad took me here when I was little and I took my kids two weeks ago, the same figures are there and that's amazing to me! I do feel they need some funds to help preserve and update the museum.
Kendrick Salone
Wonderful history. More africans americans should visit and put this on the map. Loved the detailed information.
Rob Goszkowski
I wasn't ready for the slave ship exhibit. It is incredibly well-presented and one of the most difficult exhibits I've ever seen, similar in nature to some on display in The Holocaust Museum. However, the fact that it's from our American history makes it hard to witness in a different way. The fact that it is so hard to look at it means it must be pretty important to do so.
Other exhibits in the museum are uplifting and inspirational. It's packed with information and asks a lot of the viewer in terms of the amount of content presented.
This is a very impactful museum that is worthy of your support and patronage.
Pamela Dorsey (BigGirl)
Me and my husband, had a Great experience, something every person of color should come and visit, prices are reasonable 😊 …
Ian Godwin
This place is really great and important but I would say it's not really for young kids. I went with my school in 2nd grade and like half the kids were crying. There is or was a depiction of people on a slave boat and they're like moaning and coughing and it's a bit unsettling/realistic. Like I said, great place but whenever I think of it I think of half of the kids crying in second grade.
DeAndre Stevenson
3rd time I've visited this museum - during Black History Month. I'm captivated everytime!
Yahsheba Ysrayl
I really enjoyed myself, along with my family at the Baltimore Black's in Wax Museum. YAH WILLING, I will be returning...
shok trupz
It definitely makes you realize the things that you didn’t
Treasa Talbot
This place is truly amazing love my black history it is very interesting to as well but some parts are very sad but it's good to know about history in general!!💯🙏🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾💯 …
Deborah Hayes
Although it's old, it could be little more well kept, cob webs were hanging, light in some area was dark, information in area could be retype and framed. Tried to scan barcode to send donations but, it didn't work.
Alana Nurse
It's a wonderful experience took my son .
Brittany B
Came here for a school trip and it was a wonderful experience. While not a super large place, it is filled with so much history for all ages. We did hold back some of our younger students from going downstairs since the displays were more graphic in nature ( although history at some point they need to learn and understand). I know I walked away learning something new and feel that it is a place for everyone to visit at least once.
Maurice Good
What an amazing experience. PLEASE treat yourself to this amazing experience regardless of your race or ethnicity. Take the babies!!!
ben grovak
A very honest look at black history. The visuals of the figures is thought provoking. Does a great job of telling a story through each step of America's history.
#H.Judah Mack
The information is great. Be aware that it is still in the hood part of the city. They have not opened the other part completely yet. I do hope that they add more wax figures. I can't wait to see what they do with the other part. The bathroom just need to be updated asap.
KC Hailey
Many of the wax figures were so lifelike U nearly expected them to move any minute. The images & pictures of what our ancestors went thru were moving. Wish every person on the planet was exposed to this museum & OUR REALITY. Every school aged child should see these accounts of our past before middle school.
Kimberly Apple
The fact that is in the middle and the heart of Baltimore and y'all know what I mean and you can park your bus with no problem it takes heart.
Greg Wright
Take a tour through our history ... ask to see the founders of FUBU it's a must see
Morris Manley
This was an eye opener, but History is very important and needful so the story can be told no matter how hurting the experience was. Like the Jewish people who went through the Holocaust who said they will never "forget."
And we shouldn't either. Never Forget our history.
Demetrius Williams-El
Gave a look into our past and present of truly inspiring Asiatic American people.
Princess J
Very educational. Give you an insight of the hardships African Americans had to overcome and how the white people no longer has to keep us chained nor lynch us because we do it to ourselves.
Brittany Wingate
There's a lot to see and feel here. It needs some serious updating though as it's pretty tight in there.
Lobaby35
This was one of my favorite Museums. It has so much history. I do believe that it can be spruced up a bit but the experience and all of the amazing wax figures will keep you focused on the information at hand. There was so much REAL information. The lower level even had information about lynching. I believe every black child needs to visit this museum!
Madison's Chance
The wax figures were very detailed, all the descriptions of what happened were very well written, this is a great place to take kids so they can learn about their culture. As a teen I was very interested in everything enjoyed every second staff was also nice
Always Living Good
I enjoy learning american history
The museum was a great experience.
Shana Thompson
A Historic Experience.
Though the place is small and dated it is more than worth a visit. I went with my 9yr old son and 12yr old neice and it was a moving experience for us all. Some of the exhibits even brought tears to my eyes, like the lynching exhibit that both the children chose to see. You would probably spend an hour to 2 hours if you read everything.
James Hilton
Hello joyful people just want to know did anyone facts Find out want was in the dark part of the Black and wax part were they have it covered in black is I want their when I was a teenager facts it was a trip but we did ask but they say the people who you pay that they have No idea 💡 FACTS meanng something is scarent back there but I walk pass thier when I was 19 an it was a lady look like the lady but a younger version of the older brown skin lady say it not time yet but it will come and I dance for church but when I hear that it was like a great blessing worlds coming out facts I call the office in a few weeks too about that part an when I asked that to whoever answer it was quite still on the phone but no answer?? Tiffany Taylor
It was a great museum. It is very depressing to see what history has done to the African American community. However this teaches us to keep striving to make progress in all avenues. We do not have to be held down from our past but to learn from it to make us better for the future and at the same time never forget
Tiara Powell
I loved it!! Very detailed. Some of the wax figures fingers feel off but hey what u expect..it was self guided..my girls loved the experience. Even down stairs but some children may can't handle downstairs.. It's very detailed and realistic looking!! But overall a learning experience!😊 …
Mizz Blakk
Very informative and black owned.
Crystal West
Informative but ghetto I'm not to be played with like that
GHETO SPYDR
I THOUGHT they would've upgraded since my last vist. It's VERY informative and a MUST place to visit, but it's location and the overall LOOK of the place is STILL very run down. They haven't even refaced the ticket booth area.
Lakisa Cherelle
We came as a group and went on the Underground Railroad tour prior to visiting the museum. Our tour guide Mrs. Janice was phenomenal as she educated us during our tour to the Hampton plantation and orchard St Church. We are able to learn about historical landmarks in Baltimore and more about African Americans and our contributions to the world. This experience was very educational and has changed me forever!
Chara The Designer
I love this museum. It's a great place to go. It would be even better if there were restaurants and/or other attractions close by to see and do. It would be nice to keep people in the area and make it an all day thing. It's kinda poor city planning as with a lot of other attractions in Baltimore. If there was more around to do and see there would definitely be way more traffic to the museum. Also... Prices could/ would hopefully be lower for entry.
G Harris
I enjoy going to this museum. It's not in good condition like prior years but hoping for better when renovations are done
Janice West
I love visiting this museum. Excellent place to bring friends and family to learn the history of African American and their contribution to society. You can't go wrong.
James Clark
This is a great museum. It was an
enlightening and inspiring visit. I recommend everyone go visit. We really enjoyed ourselves.
Label Me Posh
This place is awesome! It's not the glitz and glamour you would behold at a bigger museum, but slavery wasn't about glitz and glamour now was it? This museum forces you to face facts. The many states that were involved in slavery, the amount hung in each state, the size of slave quarters, the fact that reproductive organs of slaves were kept as morbid souvenirs, the slain bodies of children. It's one of the best museums that I've visited, well worth the money.
Frances Jones
The national great black wax museum was very interesting, educational. if you have never been you must go there take your children let them see what was going on way back in the days.
Viola Young
My friend and I were together just walking around talking about life and happened to be in front of the Museum...I never been in here before so we went inside and we really learned a lot about our Black History!!! WOW!!!🥰👸🤴🤍🖤💜💙💚 …
Carol Callanan-Uhl
It pulls a variety of aspects of the African American experience under the light of words and three dimensional representations in a self determined museum experience environment. A good stop for people who can understand and read US English. The museum relies on donations and is not OVERLY commercial. For this reason it is a bit rustic....no high dollar "Disney" or Smithsonian experience, but a must see for those unexposed to the sad details of slavery, or as a way to introduce your kids to the topic. I recommend parents be prepared to witness the shameful past, and also guide the kids to see the positivity in the message.
Ogechukwu Williams
This place is awesome. Very educational, informational, and evocative. Every black person in America ought to visit this place, and anybody interested in genuine history ought to visit too. It showcases the two sides of black history in America...the sad and the triumphant. It celebrates the achievements of many black people and even has some wax figures dedicated to Africa's exceptional leaders. Those wax figures are real enough that you'd think they were real people at every turn. The museum also covers America's unfortunate histories -lynching and Slavery. You think you know a thing or two about the History of slavery and yet a visit to the slaveship leaves one stunned! As for the lynching section, I just didn't have the stomach for it but I still visited. I was glad to see parents and their kids walk through the museum, and listened curiously to the kids' questions about the historical characters that they encountered. "Know thyself" is well said.

Every Time I enter into The National Great Blacks In Wax I enjoy the lectures, movie screening and the Blacks in Wax...Support one of our Nations Black Diamonds...I highly recommend it!
YVONNE POWELL
It is incredibly informative and heartbreaking at the same time. Our history should never be forgotten. Sadly our young people are not interested in our beginning. The struggle was and is hard upon our race and we cannot just dismiss it. The fight must continue, our culture must be reignited and never be forgotten.
A different note: the place can use some sprucing up, the cashier can use some enthusiasm, price not bad .
The experience was rewarding.
B Lewis
It was a great visit that young man that we had as a tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke with passion. I can only hope the rest of the staff are as passionate about it as he is. The lady that seemed to be in charge that day should work on her people skills.
Age God
Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The experience was very knowledgeable and the figures were very lifelike. Highly suggest for all races to see and learn.

I visited Baltimore recently and it's always inspiring to take in a museum. The cost is very reasonable and there are quite a few exhibits to see. Lots of reading on small signs however which I think could be distracting for kids and difficult for the elderly or sight impaired. A few figures were damaged as well. I did learn a lot throughout my visit. They are advertising for contributions with the hope of expanding and refurbishing. With any luck I hope they are successful in their efforts. It's worth a visit for a great cause.
It is so beautiful .Andrew Pernia Pernia
I have been there 2 weeks ago and I really love this so much and have a lot of interesting things to see what people did in the past. My girlfriend Angela also went along with me and she really love this as well and it is really awesome and beautiful .
Nice people to help us out with many things to discover the history from what happened in the past .🌹
LaTanya Lucas
1 guided tour was better than 3 of my previous visits combined. To hear an elder give my 12y/o daughter, her schoolmates and myself an in-depth history lesson brought tears to my eyes. The detail "grandmother" gave when she told her stories is something these kids will have forever. We will be returning a 5th time & donating to the expansion!!!!
Nicholas Bellamy
Great experience took 41 high school students and 9 chaperones from Cali. Staff was late but they accommodate our large group last minute and were very friendly. The museum needs some updating but it is very powerful.
MADELINE KING
An amazing experience and full of history and facts, highly recommend for tourists of any race!!!
Janet Hamilton
The artistic recreation of the slave ship is dreadful but interestingly created.Excellent informative source of information is stored for very vital historical account of our forefather. Special thanks to the founding fathers for creating such rich legacy. I employ everyone to go view, learn and experience it for themselves about their past.
Connie Green
Had the pleasure of going on a discounted day and given the honor of meeting Co-founder Dr. Morgan. This place is a critical piece of African/African American history. It's an enlightening timepiece that spans "5,000 years through history". There are wax statues dating back to ancient Ethiopia and Egypt along with sections depicting the horrific experience of the trans Atlantic slave trade through the American experience. While choices of wax statue figures can be debated, there's no doubt that this place has done an incredible job. For my children, it was great to see the varied culture experience in America that depicted positive and difficult truths. I would recommend this place a must do for any tourist or visitor.
Elisa Kranwinkel
Learned alot good exhibit. It was my first time there we had to stand outside 1 1/2 hours to get in and staff were not the friendliest but once inside we were able to focus on all the exhibits . Glad we were able to take pictures and reflect on things alittle better from the past so heartning 😢 …
Arneice Adams
The last time I was there my son was in the 6th grade, his teacher took them there because they were to be the last 6th graders in the school....the school was going back to 5th as the last grade. A few parents went and we had at least five six grade classes...which you know is quite a large sum of children! Anyway, the children was pretty amazed at what they were seeing and very interested...we all ENJOYED ourselves it was awesome!!! My son is now 32 yrs old, so it's been quite a while, I've been talking about this museum ever since...I do plan to return God willing, am very glad to know it still stands!!!! EVERY BLACK PERSON ON THE PLANET NEEDS TO VISIT!!!
E G
Eye opening experience for all!! A must visit in your lifetime!! I took my kids and they too we're surprised at the level of knowledge and details the museum had to offer.
Nikki “Nikki” R
I haven't been since I was a kid. I was a bit disappointed. The information they provide is great, but the displays are not in as good condition. I saw many of the figures wit her broken fingers, fallen in their displays, and the audio for the slave ship wasn't working.
Martina “Tina” Jennings
Under construction on outside of building. Need sign for parking lot. Need to update the waxed figures.
Cindy Thomas
Very educational and heartbreaking
Vaughn Allen Goodwin
This is a phenomenal, realistic, and motivating exhibit of African Americans and how far they have journeyed and accomplished. This is a must see for anyone interested in learning and experiencing African American culture. Going to this museum is worth the time and the investment. Go and give to keep this museum open and running.
Daniel Barnes Batista
Excellent walk through black history. Exhibits are a bit dated and building is not "well furnished" but it still exists as a valuable look into the movers and shakers throughout history who fought for freedom, human rights, and visibility for black populations worldwide. Some parts of the museum are harder to look at than others due to the graphic nature of the history of black people in this country (lynching, torture, and the slave trade), but all of it is insightful and necessary to understand the things that the public education system doesn't fully acknowledge
Borikenazul Borikenazul
Interesting learning experience, however, the place is very dusty and has no air conditioner, so be prepared to sweat. Parking is not paved and the staff is not motivated to show the area at all. It is located in a difficult neighborhood so be aware of that. In my case I had traveled for a few hours just to go there so, I didn't have a choice of not to go in. I think $15.00 per person is overpriced ( I went with my whole family) for what it is.
Kyle Davis
Overall this museum provided much more than I expected (in a good way). It’s not just wax figures but lots of little known history packed in to a small space. The wax figures definitely makes all of it come to life though. I will say this - probably not a good place for young children, because some of the history told here is very graphic and disturbing, and they don’t make an effort to sugarcoat anything for G-rated audiences.
Anyway I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the dust / allergens upstairs was so bad I started coughing uncontrollably. So I left. Other than that, awesome experience - but also very sobering.
Chris Martinez Lily D
I took my daughter here a few years ago and every time we visit Baltimore, she asks to go back. This museum shines light on the true past of our country as well as the current conditions. It’s so important that our youth today come here to be compelled to be apart of the change and a positive future that is in their hands.
Maryam Suluki
This was one of my favorite museums. Not at all now. Over priced for the quality of the exhibits. It doesn't appear to have been updated in years. More signs indicating what and how to get to the exhibits are needed. I appreciate the effort but it's moved way down on my must visit if in Baltimore list.
Aisha Martin
Great to visit if you dont know your history, but does need work
BARAKA PORSCHA CHANNEL
My family and I really appreciate the experience we encountered at this here museum. We got a chance to see firsthand what our ancestors went through. Mr. Eric Cherry staff member was also very helpful and kind.
Val Hameed
Wonderful time. So heart felt. I loved our guide. He was very good. TY everyone especially to the founders of the museum. This place is very personal. So much history in a small place. WOW.
Giselle Bella
There is a certain pain followed by beauty which makes this experience unlike any other.
Tarika Gray
The museum itself needs work as its outside appearance doesn't do the history within its walls any justice.
It is however a place all African Americans should come to visit, the young and the old. Truly people from all walks of life should make it a point to visit this museum. The history and the message that lives within these walls are profound. There is one exhibit that says...."Now we lynch ourselves!" Introduced by a sign that says..Blvd of Broken Dreams. This speaks volumes!!! Black lives do matter!! So if this is as true as the words itself, we need to love one another and stop killing ourselves and each other. This exhibit is powerful and worth seeing! The tribute to President Barack Obama is beautiful. This museum holds alot of great knowledge about our history. Inventions by black people that you may not even have about. It's worth a visit!
Kevin Tossie
I learned something new with every step I took!
Ryan Mastrangelo
Well worth a visit. Unique collection, where the passion of the owners is evident throughout. The museum itself is a work of art, and the huge number of wax figures covering a wide range of topics. The exposition of the slave experience in colonial America pulls no punches and is better for it.
Alesha P
The experience was very informative and the wax figure look so real it's creepy
maniah t
The total experience was enlightening, educationa, and sad.l

Bus trip for Charm School students from NYC to site; all the kids had a lovely time and learned alot of enriching invaluable education on this trip.
Johnathan
This place made me very emotional, because the tour was not sugar coated at all. I learned a lot. The only issues were the lack of ventilation inside and AC.
Diane Creedon
Amazed at the thought and pure love put into this museum. Yes it is dated and could use some help. But it is has only the support of the patrons not government. I like 50+ miles away, and only recently found out about it through a news story on NPR. I was there today and saw a special presentation "Who Killed Emmet Till?" I will back more frequently and bringing others....Thank you all for beings so real and welcoming.
As for comments about dust and spiderwebs, in a way I am grateful, in many of the exhibits the eyes of the mannequins seemed to have souls looking right into into mine
Tia Seel
The wax figures are well done . The setup is great . I just wish it was a bigger facility in order to fit more wax figures. I brought my pre- teenaged children with Me. And it brought them to tears. They had many thoughtful questions to ask me, once we left .
Nyshika Rice
Very Educational and I'm glad I had a chance to go. 4 ⭐'s Would have gave 5⭐'s if only the Wax people look a little more realistic. 🤷🏾♀️ …
Sankaya Hall
What a wonderful experience! I loved the different exhibits showcased here. The showcases definitely provided insight the history of African Americans and the struggles they experienced as slaves. The slave ship and lynching exhibits were the most profound to me, providing great detail and explicit visuals to complement the stories of the African American ancestors. A must-see if you're in the Baltimore area.
Carletter Robinson
The exhibits were great, and informative, but the location is a little off putting. Please check out this American history treasure.
Luz Johnson
It's a nice place that shows the history of the black race from the beginnings, I was surprise... many things that I didn't know. The building is old but they said they are going to remodel it.
Renee Martin
Although a little depressing, I've learned a little about what has happened. The wax figures were great but the story behind some was not. I did not like the lynching exhibit. And the gift shop was closed.
Monica Womble-Smack
What a great venue to share our incredible and rich history with my children. I wish all of our people could learn about our past so we can more clearly understand our present and be able to make better decisions that will more positively affect our future!!! Painful but very necessary!
Charlie E
The National Great Blacks In Wax Museum is a great experience. It is very informative in depicting black history and culture. I would have gave it five stars if it wasn't for the building and some of the information needed to be updated. Other than that a great experience.
Stephanie Link
A lot of details about African and Black Americans with a history in Maryland that I did not know. Very educational. Lots of emotions. Definitely worth a trip
Ms. B
Great messages to the cultured community! However, it couldn't hurt to update the appearance and maybe add more "interaction points" (push a button to start narratives and lighting effects). Takes the stress off of kids not wanting to read, but still take home a message!
Ms.T Lotus
What a wonderful museum!! I was educated, enlightened, horrified, and proud of all the many exhibits that showed our pain, struggle, as well as our astounding major acomplishments. This is a must visit for all african americans, and all who wish to learn about the "true" african american experience. Bravo!
Fred Alluso
This is perhaps the most emotionally charged American history museum. Although it depicts the truth, it is not for the light hearted. Scenes of torture, abuse and slavery are prominent and graphic. Warning: some scenes and exhibits are not suitable for children. (A sign on the wall asks that you "don't be bitter or despondent over what you see". Not an easy feat.)
So Simple
Very good experience and educational!! A must visit!
Barbara Dorsey
So much history & so many facts about the cruelty inflicted on the slaves. Most educational & informative place to.learn about our African heritage. Very knowledgeable tour guide. Great experience.
syreeta campbell
Always a great time. Very important place
Craig Mansfield
So much history for it to be a small museum. The figures look so real at one point I was waiting for one of them to jump out lol. History goes from original man to modern day black history.
BigMack4 Macklin
They should be ashamed of how they present us to the world! Customer service? You don't greet your guests with your bed scarf tied around your head. So dusty that i couldn't finish the tour. Set my allergies in a fit! You need to do better! Figures were amazing... just disty!
Marjorie Alston
The wax figures and history of the museum is awesome and outstanding.
However, conditions of the building is
horrible, inside needs major repair.
The bathrooms are unsanitary and run down. Peeling paint and lack of air
upstairs causes a foul oder. This building is likely to be condemn
A new building is greatly needed, if we are to reserve our history.
Al Perk Woods
Information was So glad to get it The different chambers of knowledge I will visit again And bring my grandson
Renee Meredith
There is so much history in this museum right in the heart of the city. I'm born & raised here in Baltimore and this was my 1st time visiting, I will surely be returning with my children! Great exhibits.
Wayne Myers
A great display of black history with very vivid details of our cruel and unjust treatment. And also a very brilliant display of our best achievement and discoveries however some of our achievements, the patents have been stolen by the less intelligent people, "!!!
Jessie Short
Awesome place to visit. I learned a lot of black history that wasn't taught in school. It's a place for all ages.
Julie Press
Really enjoyed this museum. Very informative and enlightening. Some spots had dim lighting, making it difficult to read the accompanying placards.
Alicia Jones
This museum has terrific assets and is one you should definitely make a point to visit anytime you are in Baltimore. The slave ship and lynching exhibits are especially powerful.
Jerry Thomas
Great experience
Marcel Anderson
learned a great deal, but man walking through some of the exhibits made my skin crawl. out past is so terrifying and creepy af. its a needed experience, but one I wish we didnt have to take in order to know the truth about out history
Bishop Johnson
My wife and I just visited from pittsburgh. The museum was educational, but the guy at the front desk was not welcoming at all. The front desk is the first line of customer service. Probably should put the people who look like they dont want to be there and dont like to talk to people somewhere else...
Kenneth D. Aston Jr.
A wonderful place for an education in African Americans throughout history
Tand T
This is a place that EVERYONE needs to visit. I consider myself well read and knowledgeable. I learned a lot at this museum. So glad I went there!! Do yourself a favor and go !
Tam M.
This museum needs TLC and funding. The majority of the talking stations didn't work and some of the exhibits needed work. It was very disappointing and looked abandon. If I had additional funding I would definitely donate to this cause.
Jamiere Abney
A different experience in location and resource than what you'd see at the Smithsonian. However, would love to see more funds put into this local treasure.
Tracy Stevens
Please donate. Keep our history alive
James McQuen Patterson
Good experience. make sure your younger kids don't visit the lynching exhibit, very jarring.
Joseph M Finck
This museum should be viewed and absorbed by everyone. The history depicted is largely ignored in teachings and is critical to understanding the damage and destruction we have done to Black Americans. A true must see.
Claire
A very interesting place. Convenient to get to. Good displays. It could use some updates and a sprucing up. They should try to do serious fundraising to bring the place up to date
Caroline Robinson
The museum was very informative while the building needs much better care and the museum should be in a better location to attract a more diverse crowd.
whitney thompson
People need to pour donations into this establishment to help preserve it. It's filled with Rich history I enjoyed with the kids. Quick alternative to the African American museum
Devon the Divine Solar Child
This is a great place to bring your family . I had a great experience during my visit .
Trinity Davis
It was very emotional for me especially being a black woman. I wouldnt suggest taking children here... But they must know how our past was shaped. Very informative and realistic
Annie Butler
It was such an awesome experience so much history was there it brought tears to my eyes to see how far we have come but we still have a long way to go you will enjoy it it's a good place for children also
Inez Jeter
I've visited several times and there's never been a dull moment. Observing and thinking I've gotten the feeling of actually being in the time period of a couple of the exhibits, its heart gripping I learn something new every time.
Melissa R.
Jaw dropping! My husband and I visited there with our girls 6 and 13 years and my 13 year old was emotional about one of the exhibit in particular, I won't say....it is a MUST visit
The Urban Gamer
Awesome experience. Have been about 10 times(I'm from Delaware) and will continue to go and support such a beautiful display of not only African American history, but alot of untold American history.
Avon Harris
If you love history of all kinds, this place here is a wonder. Go and check it out. The cost per adult, I recall as 13.00, I think. There is a slave ship that is very similar to the Dutch country of Curacao in Willemstad Museum.
Solomon Johnson
Very strong place to go if your African American and wanna learn about your race and the struggles we've been through and must go. Reasonable tickets for a life time of knowledge and understanding.
Steve Young
A trip every person should go to. Black history is American history
D'Honei Davis
It shows how we blacks were treated and they did not sugar coat it, and I like that because it shows how we blacks were tortured, thrown off boats, our newborn babies were feed the the alligators and croccodies. It is emotional but it just shows the truth about our history and how we to invented things that we now use today.
Mimi Coffey
Some wax figures were very inaccurate and the was exposed wiring as well as dysfunctional interactive displays. The gift shop was also closed and appeared to be torn apart. Other than that I was good.
Brittany Fleming
The museum was better than I expected. We took students to the museum for a field trip. The tour guide was great. The students learned a lot and they were very engaged.
Mail For case
Connecting generations through history preserved
My favorite is the slave ship and it is really heart wrenching to walk through and just to imagine how worse the things were
Wish they had little
More Money so that they actually can do better place all those great artifacts and collections in much better shape
Hats off to the management and great volunteers
Richmond Baye
It's a great place to enrich your history
Mary M
Historical figures of prominent blacks. It takes one back in history. It is a graphic view of dress, styles, culture and era of different time periods. It is a breath taking experience. It is a must see.
Charles Williams
This is one of the most emotionally challenging experiences in life. Walking through the pages of time, seeing the struggles, as well as, the progression of Black people in spite of all obstacles, is very moving. This is something that should be experienced by all people, especially the youth.
Donald Ewing
The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the wax figures were kind of lacking in the realism I was hoping for but I learned things about my people and our continuing struggle that made this place fantastic. It's s must see.
Jil Pope
Although the building and displays are dated, the messages still powerful and resonates!
Shaneen Sargent
This was such an awesome and amazing experience. This museum was explicit and you get such a better understanding of things in black history. However much pay is, its worth it.
Tina Mayes
Amazing information. It looks like the details got better over the years. The slave boat was amazing and I think everyone needs to see it!
Jacelle Clary
Very powerful and meaningful history. Must come to see it , you will not be disappointed.
Leslie Moore
Lord help our Nation prevail..we are sadden by the injustices of the past yet hopeful for our future.

I went here when I was 9 years old, and it was a great experience! Probably the best museum I've ever been to!
Lee Fredricks
The vision and commitment that created The National Great Blacks in Wax Museum is incredible. A Baltimore gem.
Leigh Gillis
So good! People should make donations to help them upgrade and do some needed maintenance. They have done an amazing job!
Jacquie Bishop
It was great to visit here before going to the National Museum. They are in desperate need of money to upgrade the facilities, exhibits and placards. Definitely worth the trip.
Brianna Smith
I've been to the museum since 2008...I recently went back to visit this previous vacation and loved it
The Mrs Jones
Enjoyed my time here! Building in desperate need of repair, funding and or leadership the can secure more $$$ to upgrade and update facility. Some wax figures in need of repair. Needs more of a logical order for placement of wax figures.
melony Holmes
I really enjoyed the museum, but I also feel it should be restored inside. The history was truly a wow, and awesome experience
Janet Jones
It has do much to offer our community. It is te building bock and foundation to our future and our children's. It is a historical place to learn about your African history and how our ancestors pave the way so we can have mych more than tbm. Dr. JoAnne Martin is keeping the legacy that she and her husband built together. I love e her dearly and what se us doing for the community. We had an awesome Street Festival today l. My prayer is that it is bigger an better each year. We need te support if each a d everyone else of you. God be te Glory, Peace and Love to you all.

Truly a must !! It is imperative for all people of color to visit one of the most informative Black historical Museum of all times. Upon entering you see wax replicas of Hannibal Barca the greatest general of antiquity W.E.B. DuBois who started NAACP and Booker T Washington some of the most strong and brave African people. There stories are the same struggles we face today. There are detail and very graphic scenes of Africans slaves women, children and men shackled and packed like sardines in slave ships. Its heart wrenching but you still get a since of pride of how strong your ancestors were to survive the brutal atrocities during the trans atlantic slave trade . Atrocities that were and still are placed upon them by there cold heart white oppressors by totalitarianism. all to familiar. the struggles of a people broken nation stolen from the land, forgotten language and destroyed and misplaced by a race of people who are all to evil and unconscious to any one existence but there own.
Gwen Williams
Please remember that Great Blacks in Wax is gearing up for a long awaited, result of due diligence expansion!! That will encompass the entire block....trust that updates are forthcoming in a most awesome way!!

It was nice to see so I would know About the old days

Very powerful and extremely sad along with disturbing. I am saddened by all the atrocities that was inflicted among many Black people. I would go again if I am ever in Maryland again.
Sirena Bazile
Great place! More work needed in the customer service area. Great information and exhibits, just a tight place. I look forward to the expansion!
Tanya Purdie
Very informational outing. The lower level can be a bit overwhelming for younger children because it's quite graphic. Otherwise a great place
LaToya Cathcart
There was lots of interesting information but exhibits could use a face-lift.
Darryl McClain
The wax figures are very well done. The history is excellent. You can learn a lot of history in 90 minutes with a self guided tour.

A great experience. I will be returning for as long as I am physically able. Great lessons of our history and excellent displays.

Very informative, nice place to take your children to learn true history.

Excellent!! Everyone should visit and please make a donation as the work here is exceptional! It would be great if they would expand.
Barbara Hornsby
The slave ship exhibit was heart wrenching, it is said how inhumane men can be. It has a lot of great information and the future upgrade will be a welcome improvement.
Syreeta King
This should be a requirement for ever black child at least twice in their lives. Once in middle school and again before graduating from high school.
cynthia kennedy
Its a great place to go but they really need people to go and to contribute the the continuation of our history being told.
Michael Scott
Enjoyed it! The lynching was interesting but made me mad. I'm sure other people were too. Overall good experience

Very informative. Also has some pretty graphic expressions of a darker time in our history but very powerful and emotional art.

The National Great Blacks in Wax Museum is a wax museum in Baltimore, Marylandfeaturing prominent African-Americanhistorical figures. It was established in 1983, in a downtown storefront on Saratoga Street.
The museum is currently located on 1601 East North Avenue in a renovated firehouse, a Victorian Mansion, and two former apartment dwellings that provide nearly 30,000 square feet (3,000 m2) of exhibit and office space. The exhibits feature over 100 wax figures and scenes, a full model slave ship exhibit which portrays the 400-year history of the Atlantic Slave Trade, an exhibit on the role of youth in making history, and a Maryland room highlighting the contributions to African American history by notable Marylanders.
HistoryEdit
The National Great Blacks in Wax museum is Baltimore's first wax museum and the first wax museum of African American history in the nation. The museum was started as a grassroots operation by Dr. Elmer Martin and his wife Dr. Joanna Martin.
The idea of Blacks in Wax started with a few wax figures that were taken around to various schools, community centers, and malls. The museum was originally sponsored exclusively by Dr. Elmer Martin, his wife Dr. Joanna Martin, and donations from the community. In the early days, Dr. Elmer Martin was forced to ask his wife to sell her wedding ring to keep the moving exhibit going. However, it received national recognition in 1983 when the founding members were allotted grants, loans, and endowments to open a permanent exhibition. In 1988, Blacks in Wax received its permanent home on the 1600 block of North Avenue in the neighborhood of Oliver.
The site was originally home to a firehousethat was converted into a showhouse. In 2004, The Blacks in Wax Museum was recognized by the U.S. Congress and became The National Blacks in Wax Museum.

I went here and cried so bad i flipped out so bad that i was asked to leave. It hurt so bad to see my people and the cruelty of what they did to our people it was horrible and i really don't like a lot of people because of what i have learned and still learning.
Remjo Debil
I came before and It's quite nice and lovely. I plan on visiting again once this whole cvoid thing ends
Rod Jackson
This place gets to the heart of the truth quick. It doesn't hide the truth about the cruelty of white enslavers, white supremacy and black resistance to all of it. It also highlights the triumph of the black spirit!
Aziza E
Really cool museum but it was an emotional rollercoaster ride. I definitely recommend that you check it out.

My first visit to the museum was eye opening, could use some upgrades to some of the exhibits and the building, overall it was great.

Been coming here since I was in the single digits. Always loved the grittyness. The building is in serious need of a upgrade though. Appriecated the work being done here though.

Very powerful experience. i believe the older you are, the more you will get from it. Understanding how things use to be and how we take the little things for granted.
Mr. Lilly
A great place to take young children as well as older children to inform them of how things were at one time in the past as well as how much things have changed, currently.
