We moved two households from Chicago to Dallas, and United Van Lines was exceptional from our first estimate, scheduling and loading of our things in Chicago to the unloading and assembly of our things in Dallas. They communicated with us every step of the way. They arrived on the day and at the time they said they would for loading the truck. They communicated with us during our trip confirming the status of the move. They arrived in Dallas on the date they said they would, and went above and beyond with the care they took in handling our household goods. Nothing was broken or damaged in the least. We were extremely happy and would definitely use them again.

Our household move from Colorado Springs to North Carolina with Johnson Storage & Moving, a partner of United Van Lines, was expertly, sensitively, and creatively managed and executed. Estimator Justin won our contract by being the only rep among 3 major van lines to say, "I know our drivers" and that they could get the big van up our 80-yard gravel driveway--backwards--while the other lines' estimators said they could not do that and a shuttle process would cost an extra $1,200. The United driver did this on his first try. Wow. Move Coordinator Angie was pleasantly on top of things every step of the way, before, during, and after our move. Our packers were careful and thorough: the only damage was when I dropped one of my wife's little Christmas tree earrings during our unpacking and stepped on it! Driver "Big Al" brought superb team-oriented movers who meticulously prepared our furniture and worked together really well to move our stuff carefully. Their dedication to careful work on stairs with our huge dressers was as impressive to watch as it was successful at both ends. Smiling, joking, sweating under big loads, and not only pleasant but polite to speak with, I liked these guys. After a 30-year Air Force career moving around the world, and supervising a lot of team efforts, this was the first move we paid-for ourselves--and it was also the best move we've ever had. Yes, I do recommend Johnson Storage & Moving of United Van Lines. If I didn't mean it, I wouldn't say it.

Love, Love,Love United Van Lines as my moving company. I’ve no complaints...Marco and Kevin were very friendly, professional, packed all my stuff with such care and protection. Even when I added items to pack, no complaints and had all but one of the items I’d asked them to put in front of the storage unit once furniture delivered. Almost got taken by rogue movers and so happy I changed to United Van Lines. I do not hesitate at all recommending them to anyone.

Our experience with United Van Lines was wonderful in our move from California to Colorado. Estimate was about the same as other moving companies and right on. Efficient packing crew returned the next day to load. Everything arrived in great shape, even our Grandfather clock. While I can't say moving is fun, the crew I had with Rodney as the driver, made the experience about as enjoyable as possible. All were friendly, hard working and polite. The way they pack a truck is amazing. I did my own packing, but they wrapped anything and everything that wasn't boxed up - and they did it with lightning speed. The unloading experience at the other end was just as pleasant. I'd highly recommend United Van Lines for anyone needing a mover!!

I have moved 7 times in the last 20 years and so have a wealth of experience in working with moving companies. Christopherson United Van Lines is by far the best of all the companies I have hired. They provided top drawer service in all aspects of 2 move for which I hired them, from the estimator to the guys who loaded and unloaded my possessions. I was totally impressed with everyone involved in the moving process. My last move was between Wisconsin and Arizona, clearly a long distance move. Communication was outstanding. My furniture arrived the day after I arrived. I have used other United companies, but Christopherson was BY FAR the best. I highly recommend this United franchise.

This team deserves A-1 status, from start to finish! The estimate came in just under the actual weight and we even received a small refund. The move coordinator was thorough, precise, and always available to answer our many questions.. The packers and the movers were professional, effective, and careful with all of our possessions. Ace Moving was great. The previous reviews I read and the reason I chose them was because of excellent service. And they were not wrong. There are many horror stories about movers and this was not one of those bad ones but a really great one. Wonderful people doing a wonderful job. Our furniture was packed professionally, and moved with real care from the house and loaded onto a truck that looked like it could hold the state of CT in it. We were given a 10 day window and the process of matching our things with perhaps one or two other loads was explained to us. Every piece was marked and checked off the list which we were given and felt like we were signing off at a closing there was so many papers to sign. Within the 10 day window our driver called and gave us the arrival date. Again like loading they laid out runners everywhere there would be traffic. It may sound naive, but it was like watching a symphony, all the instruments playing together in a one well practiced and rehearsed work that came together beautifully. And that is this story for Ace Moving and for our experience with it. An award winning performance!! Bravo!

This office was outstanding, staff was very pleasant even when there was a miscommunication between the Rep, myself, the office and the actual movers. Yet the movers , office and I worked it out. The ladies in the office were very pleasant and friendly. The gentlemen that came to pack me up were very polite and professional. On arrival at my storage destination they made sure everything was secured and I could access things if and I needed them.. the owner/driver of the truck to his crew were just pleasant and courteous. We utilized United Van Lines in our recent relocation from Louisville, KY to Bryan, TX. We contacted several relocation services and settled on United. The folks at the Louisville KY office were professionals from the Sales Rep who provided the quote and recommendations to the entire moving crew. From the day they started packing our home to the delivery at our new home, these people were first class. I could not recommend a better service. We incurred no damage to our belongings and the delivery crew placed our items where we asked them to. As anyone knows who has moved before, the process can be very nerve wracking. United Van Lines took a lot of the worry out with how they managed things. I whole heartedly recommend these folks for any move and plan to use them in the future should the need arise.

Everything was great, placing the order, pickup crew were great, the delivery service was a bit more questionable. The delivery crew arrived an hour before scheduled time (fortunately someone arrived home just prior to them getting there) then they argued there was not a second drop off. After all was settled they were helpful and made the second delivery without any more trouble. I would definitely look at using United Van Lines Movers if I had other moving needs arise.

Starting with Ben and then Jenny and finally Freddy and his crews, we couldn’t have been happier with the level of service from everyone. Unlike broker companies that give a quote that doesn't reflect the actual cost or service, the quote was binding. It came in thousands of dollars under a competing company. The service from start to finish was very professional. We were packed up, moved, and unloaded by United. The packing process took all day and the two guys were so hard working and diligent. The moving truck arrived one day ahead of schedule. Everyone was courteous and professional. They helped us move existing furniture that was left behind to another room and then moved everything in and put it all in each designated room. They were very grateful for the lunch and the tips.

When you have the stress of a move, it is a pleasant experience to be contacted by the representative of the moving company and to see how immediately everything starts flowing smoothly and easily with a close tracking from the experts. In my move, I was multiple times punctually contacted and informed with clear and specific information, with indications, compromises and dates. All the process was clear for me and the established due dates were fully accomplished till the point I was even receiving proposals which gave me the opportunity to anticipate some days and finish my move early. All the staff was very knowledgeable since the very first visit they made to my old home to evaluate all the things to be moved. Unexpectedly, we had to move on short notice. Barbara Hodgson at Conlon arranged for an estimator to come within hours of our call. She also was very helpful in getting us added to a piggy back load that saved us quite a bit. However, we had more than two weeks to wait for pick-up and delivery. The movers did not set up our beds until we complained, then, after the movers left, we found that the bed had been improperly assembled, and almost all the screws were missing. I bought more than 8 screws and installed them myself. We were disappointed that the driver and his crew failed to complete the job.

(CT to FL) It started with Gil who came to the house to give us an estimate; it continued with Mary at the office, who communicated effectively, and gave me peace of mind throughout this otherwise stressful process. I tried to go cheaper twice before - using Presidential & BLVD - but both moves fell apart just after I paid my deposits. Fortunately, the deposits were returned without a fight - which is the best thing I can say about those companies. Don't go with a broker or an unknown from the internet - regardless of how wonderful their salesmen seem. They lie. United delivered all they promised.

My moving to another state with the moving company was positive, I was lucky enough to not have to use a full semi tractor trailer, and was able to use a long truck to transport my household items cross state lines to my new home. All my items were packed very well, this includes all my glass items, T.V. and all my framed pictures . Overall, my move was very good and all items arrived in very good condition on the other side.

Great service, friendly movers. They were at our house on time for pickup, and did exactly what we wanted them to do. They arrived a couple of days late, but that was because of weather. United agent Bates Moving in Salisbury, Maryland did a fantastic job for our inter-state move from Maryland's Eastern Shore to southeast Virginia. The preplanning, estimating, delivery of packing supplies all went smoothly, as did the actual Moving Days. Our full house required two vans and Bates went out of their way with staff re-scheduling and overtime to provide drivers and helpers to make sure we were out of one and into our new house on schedule. Highly recommend Bates!

We have used professional movers several times, and we've never had a better experience than our recent move using United Van Lines and local move support arranged by Chipman Relocation. The pre-move estimate turned out to be extremely accurate, and was far less expensive than the competitive bids! The transcontinental mover for United (Ed Arias) was the most admirable person you'd want to meet: knowledgeable, extremely concerned about care, leader of an energetic (and equally careful) team of loaders, precise, patient, helpful. On the far end: Again, great care and energy unloading, clean, and most gracious. Not a blemish to any item, and actually a rebate based upon net weight, as promised. We admired everyone involved. I suggest that you include United among the options as you search for a mover. If we ever move again, we will start by contacting these folks!

We just used Moberly Moving affiliated with United Van Lines to move us from NM to TX. Terry Moberly assigned his top packers to load us out of our house. They were very careful with all of our furniture and the pre-packed boxes my husband had packed. They were so friendly and courteous. Two of those four drove the truck and unloaded it all into our new home. They worked in terribly humid conditions plus moved a couple of the large pieces more than once to get them exactly where I wanted. We would recommend them and certainly would use them again.

Our relocation counselor, Diane Duncan, deserves 20 stars. Diane was in constant contact with me before, during and after the move. While she was on vacation, she ensured that another team member checked on us. I feel like I have a new friend. The truck driver was so nice. I wish that he had better control over the guys that load and unload. It needed to be more organized especially for someone who has been doing this job for over 20 years. Mirror brackets are missing, refrigerator is dented, a couple of smaller items were damaged as well. This likely could have been avoided with more supervision and oversight. The fact that someone else packed for me was crazy! I felt privileged. However, once we got the boxes, things got complicated. The majority of the boxes were marked 'nic-nacs' when they had plates and silverware or another box that just had pillows only. None of these things are 'nic-nacs'. Nested bowls were separated, We found our silverware set split up in three different boxes. In spite of that aggravation, there was virtually no damage.

United gave us a maximum price for our move. However, we ended up with a refund as our weight was less than they estimated. They are very upfront on any costs that may be incurred. They met the deadline to deliver our furniture. They were careful with our belongings and we had no damage or lost items. The drivers and unloaders were very pleasant and they took care of our new house with coverings and how careful they were with carrying the furniture in to the house. They set up all the furniture that needed assembly. Moving is a difficult time and it was refreshing to not have to worry about this aspect of our move. In an industry that is filled with negative reviews and numerous stories about terrible experiences with moving companies I can say I am glad we decided to go with Johnson Movers.

I used Hollander Intl. Storage & Moving to move from Chicago to Philadelphia at the end of January 2018. From initial engagement with sales lead Chris Kucharski through unpacking with Billy and Dave in PA, their service could not have been better. Joey, Joe and Niko G packed up my 2-bed apartment in only a few (relatively) stress-free hours, working patiently around a curious cat who wanted to know what was going on. The guys were superb and a pleasure to have in my home. Equally, Billy and Dave who unpacked in PA were excellent - organized and efficient. The stacking of the unpacked boxes in the basement was like a work of art! Very considered and neat. The service also provided an account manager to supervise the move and I was kept updated on the move as much as I needed to be. (They also dealt patiently and kindly with a panicky call from me in relation to 'missing' boxes that of course turned out to be not missing at all). The move was completed within 10 days (Friday to Tuesday the following week). Pricing was fair in relation to other quotes I had received and I was pleased to give the business to a Chicago-based company working under a national brand (United). Highly recommend and my thanks again to Chris, Joey, Joe, Niko G, Billy, Dave and the patient account manager whose name escapes me (sorry!).

Well-known company assisted us in a cross-country move. They gave us a packing crew, a loading crew, the driver, then the unloading crew. We also communicated with a representative via phone and email keeping us up-to-date on progress, changes, times, etc. We felt the care in packing and then unloading our belongings into storage was lacking. The team was efficient but at the stake of rough handling and risking breakage.

The overall price was much better than any other quote I received, the load and delivery was exactly as estimated and quoted, and the 3 men that loaded and unloaded our 5 bedroom house did a phenomenal job with zero items broken and no walls scratched! This included (unfortunately for them) stairs in addition to taking apart a pool table and treadmill in order to remove them from our upstairs rooms. Everything made it ok, some minor damaged, scratches on two pieces of furniture and a bent aluminum reflector! Only 1 MAJOR COMPLAINT!!! When they packed our 2 large TV there didn't keep the components together or mark the boxes with there contents! First TV, TV was packed & Marked TV, it's a 65 " flat screen, easy to identify! The wall mount, sound bar & subwoofer, im assuming are somewhere in a box!! Still looking!! Second TV, 50" flat screen! Box marked, the TV was in the box but the small stand was removed and noware to be found so far!! There is a box that container Parts & Fasteners, only a power cable for 1 TV and screws from a bed frame! It's just extremely frustrating when you're trying to get things set up and you're unable to locate components because of poor marking & organization. Other than that we are extremely pleased with the move and the staff that assisted us! Thanks
