Very affordable and competitive price on my dorm size storage unit. Happy customer here and this location is right off the freeway so it’s easy for me. Always super clean and Jasmine is always around to help a customer out. 5/5 stars thank u Jasmin.

This review is for initial sign up only, I have not yet used the storage. The initial sign up was smooth, Mason was knowledgeable and helpful in walking through the docusign documents. They do require insurance and sell at quite a high price, but you can use personal renters to cover the items and it's much cheaper. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is simply because I haven't seen / used the facilities yet, not because anything was bad. Update** After using for 3 months it was as easy to cancel as it was to sign up. Cancelled the day of a recurring payment and they offered a full refund. Would recommend this storage unit. The only issue is they require strange locks instead of just padlocks but they will sell you one, so be prepared to potentially pay for that. Otherwise was a good experience.

Super helpful and kind staff, clean facilities, and my things felt safe. I even called and needed a 1 day extension because of travel plans complicating my move out date. They gave me a pro-rate and I was able to get my things no problem and not have to pay for a full month.

Extra space is great Marianna is great to deal with. I had been there for over a year and had the opportunity to work with all of the staff from time to time and Jasmine is understanding in ways of the current situation that makes it easy to pay the higher rate increase and the staff is the only reason I stayed as long as I did. Jasmine at Extra Space Storage was incredible to work with during a stressful moving period. She worked with us to obtain a storage unit last minute (same day) and kindly adjusted pricing to fit our unique needs without being asked to do so. She was available for assistance throughout our moves into and out of the unit and walked us through the billing/forms/insurance with a lot of patience when we had questions. She did not ever push any add-ons and kept communications quick and simple. I would highly recommend using this stress-free storage facility if you need a place to store your belongings between moves.

We’ve been using Extra Space for about a year now and it’s been great for us overall. I think our price got bumped up two or three times in that year unfortunately. But the interactions with staff when we opened and closed our unit have been really positive! Really just four stars because the price increased on us multiple times in what felt like a really short span of time.

I had an awesome experience with Extra Space at 1150 S 500 W in SLC. I was moving last minute from out of state and was desperate to find a storage facility that also had an option for car parking. Over the phone, Mauri helped me sort out the best size unit for all of my belongings and immediately got me exactly what I needed literally 4 days before I was planning on moving. She was so welcoming and sweet, I think she could tell over the phone that I was panicking about my upcoming move! She helped me get a deal with the first months free, so I ended up paying a very reasonable rate for both rentals. Super easy to work with and genuinely kind. The staff was super friendly in person when I arrived a few days later and helpful answering any questions about my unit, parking space and the all of locks. When it was time to move out, I gave them a call and within an hour received all of the receipts I needed. I’m grateful that the Extra Space Storage staff helped relieve some moving anxiety during stressful time in my life.

This place is great. However they increase their rates every couple of months. I have never experienced that at any other storage companies. I would not go back knowing that my rate is being increased for no reason every couple of months.

I like renting with Extra Space and like that they use barrel locks, and have really good facilities that are well maintained, but rate increases can be high enough to make you move out. My rent went from $89 per month to $135 per month after just a couple months. That’s a huge increase.

The fees were a little high (they need you to use/purchase a specific lock and purchase insurance, but that's totally understandable given the location). That said, the customer service was incredible, and the process was quick and painless! The manager's name must have slipped my mind, but she was very nice, informative, and patient when answering questions. I also initially forgot to bring a facemask when entering the office, and she was nice enough to find one and offer it to me. I am happy they were my first choice of storage facility, and I would definitely consider returning with future storage needs.

When making the cross country move to Utah from the Carolina's, I needed some space to store our belongings while we sold our home and looked for a replacement. I can honestly say that my experience with Extra Space Storage was the finest experience I have ever had with a storage facility. Mariana was always helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate me with whatever I needed. The facility was clean, well maintained, and I never once worried about my unit, or the safety of my vehicles parked in the parking spots. A big thank you goes out to Mariana, and the other quality people that make Extra Space Storage a huge success. When I need storage again, I will be back at Extra Space Storage.

We've used both the Salt Lake location as well as the one in Taylorsville. We've been very pleased with both locations. The Salt Lake area was used for a parking space. Mauriana,at that locationhas always been very helpful and kind and has answered any questions that we had. We were grateful for the availability of the space as well as the lower price to be able to park our vehicles. I never felt that my property hasn't been safe and I'm sure we will use extra space again if we have any further storage needs that come up in the future.

We came in from out of town to store some of our belongings here as we started the process of moving here. Dominic was very helpful and accommodating while we were reserving/moving our stuff into the unit. He was concerned that the unit we had reserved would be too small and was looking into other Extra Space locations to try to help us out. The unit ended up being the perfect size and setting up our rental space was a breeze. Thanks! EDIT: We came back a little over a month to get our stuff after moving and everything was just how we left it. We even were a little late coming to get it, and should have been charged for another month but they waived the fee for us. I've never used a storage facility before and I was really impressed by the service.
