I was blown away at the level of service I had to move my father out of Price UT and put all of his stuff I to a storage unit in Lehi UT about an hour away. 4 guys and a truck showed up and moved everything in a day. It was incredible! The young men were strong, caring, kind, and seriously were a class act! I hired a different moving company about a year ago to move into my home and it cost 2x the amount, they had more guys, took longer, the crew chief got in a fight at my storage unit and ended up getting fired! Big Boy Movers was the best choice of anyone in The Valley! I will definitely be using them again! Highly recommend!

I had Luke and Andy move our home from Utah to Idaho. Two trucks! They were amazing with the pack (think tetras level genius) and the unload was super quick. They also had amazing attitudes and energy. Of special note I didnt have ANY damage. I had the load professionally packed for an interstate move so my items were protected with blankets and shrink wrap. I would suggest anyone have that done with a long distance move. I used their insurance partner-cant say I'd recommend using them again as they were really difficult to work with and communication was a huge challenge. Peter was my main point of contact and an absolute pleasure to partner with on the move. He quoted it exactly and I didnt have any unexpected expenses upon delivery.

First all 6 movers were early. I showed them the 2 10x20 full to the brim storage lockers. They just started loading like busy bees. We made 4 trips with a 26 foot moving van. They just keep going til it was done. I hope I never move again, but if I do I know who I'm going to Call. Bert

I booked the service last minute for 7:00 the next day to empty out a 12’ truck U-Haul up a 3rd floor place. The guys knocked on the door right on time, did their job fast and efficiently. Price is very reasonable. It’d probably take us 2 days to finish the job when they did it in less than 2 hours. Very happy that I used this company. I will definitely recommend them.

Would not recommend! Find a mover that treats your stuff like they own it. This company destroyed a table, squished boxes marked fragile, dented our freezer, dinged our walls, soaked our couch from sweaty guy carrying it (though we're in Arizona so I can't really be mad at that), packed our food storage on a shelf that tipped over and dented cans when it landed on our TV! All my garage stuff including tools, power tools, yard equipment and camping gear was pretty much piled haphazardly on top of each other. The only thing that saved us is our excellent packing job. We packed everything with tons of paper, foam and bubble wrap and wrapped with plastic. If we didn't do that I believe we'd have at least a quarter of our stuff damaged. They were less expensive but there money we saved will go toward the things they damaged. 8-5-2018 I moved from Utah to Arizona, and know for sure that this review is for the correct company. I will say the insurance payment I got for the damages, was fair and handled professionally. We got the check about 2 weeks after the move. Everyone was nice and professional. I still don't feel like they treated my stuff the same as I would have treated it. I raised my rating from 1 star to 3 because of how the insurance claim went.

This is 2nd time in the last 6 years I have used big Boy movers. My call to them was last minute, I called on Tuesday and I needed them on Friday. As you would expect there were no appointments available on that short of notice. (My Mom recently passed away and I had family coming up to unload her pod and go through her things. We were going to do it at the Pod warehouse but decided it would be much easier and more practical to do it at my home). Understanding the circumstances of my situation they made phone calls and called me back within 30 minutes to let me know that they could accommodate me for that Friday! I am so grateful to them for be accommodating my family. As usual everything about the experience was exceptional the young man arrived we had scheduled them for 3 hours but only needed them for one. Hired 3-4 movers to help with just the bigger furniture and a gun safe at my home. We had 3-4 college kids show up at the house. They did great with the big furniture, although we ended up having to help lift. When it came to the gun safe, they were unsure how to handle it. They were just young college boys working. They didn't have the muscle or the skill sets to get the safe out of the basement. We ended up having family help what shouldn't have been lifting, but the job got done. Next time confirm you are going to get full size men with muscles to get the job completed. Other than that they did a good job. Just took a lot longer to complete it.

They two guys were on time, super helpful, took directions, and gave feedback based on their experience. They were hardworking the whole time they were on the clock. Nothing was damaged between loading and unloading my packed and ready to go 4 bedroom house in the 4 hour block I reserved. 2.5 for loading, 10 mins of transport and about 1.5 for unloading. The only real feedback was things winding up in the right room as we unloaded. But, I largely attribute that to a failure to communicate and direct on our part. We booked through uHaul and the completion and payment side of things could have gone a little smoother, but we worked it out in a few minutes. I will use them again, likely direct next time around.

Hired them to help move some heavy/large items. They arrived within the time frame they originally stated, had good communication throughout the process. So we moved the end of June this year. I came down with COVID pneumonia a few weeks later, so it’s taken me a while to write this. But seriously THE MOST AMAZING experience moving that we have ever had!!! All the crew that we had was hard working and never sat down. We fed them pizza and they were right back to working!! Very professional and very gentle when moving our items. They did seriously the tightest pack I have ever seen in a moving truck, also they were very careful at covering items with moving blankets. They brought the moving blankets and dolly for our fridge and washer and dryer. We had nothing broke, very impressive. They worked their hearts out until the job was done with no complaints!! So thank you to your good quality company you run and having great hard working employees. And on top of it all, they were the cheapest. I checked with about 15 different companies and went with Big Boy Movers based off their positive reviews. We are very happy we did. We will use them in the future, if we move again! :) We had 3 movers for a 2,500 sq ft town home I had most every box in the garage just the big furniture in the house. We have four children. They would not have been able to finish with the time I was quoted if my boxes were not already in my garage, so maybe add a hour or two to the time of your quote if your boxes are all throughout your house. We luckily got finished with our time with our boxes and containers in the garage, even with them coming back for a quarter of a load. Tip that makes it faster and the movers also loved it. I had everything clearly labeled where it was to go on the boxes and on container and furniture with tape so I could remove it after. and had papers in the rooms in our house with that label of the kitchen, child’s room or storage closet, garage etc. The Mover said I was the most organized person they have ever helped move they said it was very helpful!! :):) :)

Seriously they made our move so easy. I had 2200 sq ft of stuff and thought I needed a 26ft trailer to get everything. They only used half. They stacked those boxes amazing. Nothing fell or broke. Andrew and Thomas were the saviors of the day! Coming from California, we were extremely behind schedule due to traffic and an accident near Las Vegas which pushed our arrival time back by 2 hours. Not only did they help unload, they helped detach the vehicle tow and then reattached it afterwards. Really great to work with! I lived in a unique area where truck size turned out to be a problem and the owner showed up with his sprinter van to make sure we could complete the move. Three young guys moved an old cast-iron radiator (possibly 400 lbs if I were to guess) down two flights of stairs, which only took them 30 mins, and since I paid for an hour, they spent the rest of the time helping me put some broken up concrete into a dump truck. Very helpful and considerate.

The 4 men we had move us were so strong and did such an amazing job! We had a bigger move than we thought but the movers took it in stride and stayed two hours over to finish the job. Nothing was damaged with the move. We have several antique pieces and they were so careful and packed the trucks to maximum capacity so no space was wasted. We are so pleased with the job they did and would definitely reccomend them.

Sent an email and received a response & estimate first thing the next morning. Ian & Carson arrived on time and ready to go. Professional behavior from completing paperwork to signing the bill 2.5 hours later. I had a list prepared and they placed items perfectly in the spots. (we are talking 5 different rooms! The things I appreciated about Big Boy Movers were 1) they squeezed me into their schedule within a few days, and 2) one of the guys offered his personal vehicle to help take a load to our new house. That made up for the fact that he was 15 minutes late... The biggest problem I had with BBM was that they had to cut my appointment time short because they had to leave in order to make it on time to their next appointment. 🤔 I was charged for the full two hours, so I expected to receive two hours worth of moving. I am still giving 5 stars, though, because we could not have done this move without these guys, they were reasonably priced AND the late dude took a load in his truck. 👏

It was really easy to work with and coordinate with Big Boy Movers. The three guys that came were super respectful and very helpful when it came to the specifics of our move. We needed things picked up from two different locations that were 30 minutes apart and dropped off at another location 20 minutes away and they were more than happy to do it! They even finished up the job early which made it easier for us. A few of our things did get slightly damaged, but nothing I would say could be avoided. They did their very best with what we had and it worked out great! I’ve never paid for a moving company before but my wife and I have now seen the light. When we (eventually) move again, we’re hiring Big Boy Movers to do it!

I had Big Boy Movers unload two different times. In both instances they did an outstanding job. They arrived on time and were ready to work. We moved into a home with stairs and they negotiated the stairs without damage to the wall or railing or boxes. They were quick and efficient. They were cautious with delicate items and made sure to ask questions about where to put items. They were also quick, but not hurried, sensing that we wanted things in specific places and making sure they were put there. I would use them again without any reservation.

I had an extremely heavy item that I needed moved up a tricky flight of stairs. Out of the 7 specialty companies I contact with my unique situation, Big Boy Movers were the only ones that were confident that they could provide me with a solution. Though it was a nearly impossible task and took every bit of strength their 4 movers could manage, they were able to complete the job successfully, despite all odds. On top of completing a nearly impossible job, the movers were also very professional and timely, arriving on the job 10 minutes early. They were a great group of guys and were very thoughtful of my situation, doing everything they could to find a solution to my scenario. The company management was great to work with and was very personable. Weeks of planning and coordination took place with the owners before the job -- due to scheduling conflicts on my part, not theirs -- and I felt well taken care of along the way. I am thoroughly impressed and sincerely grateful for their services; I can't recommend Big Boy Movers enough, and won't hesitate to use them as often as I can in the future. UPDATE, 2 years later, June 2016: I recently had the pleasure of dealing with Big Boy Movers for the second time. I hired them to repeat the same task they had done before, AND load a 20' rental moving truck with large furniture. The process could not have gone more smoothly, and I'm again grateful for their awesome service. I couldn't recommend these guys enough. Fantastic.

Very short move, only three minutes away. Two beds, 2 wooden chests, couch, three chairs, washer and drier, two tables, three accent tables and a disassembled crib. My spouse was astonished at how quickly they managed it. They were booked for three hours and did it in one! They got straight to work and were very professional. My brother broke some of the stuff he moved but all the furniture they moved was in the same condition on arriving that it left in!

These guys were one of the hardest working and honest people ! They had the fastest response time , they provided a very competitive quote and went above and beyond to provide the best customer service. Our furniture was too big and odd shaped to get through tight spaces in the new house, these guys saved us a trip and additional cost by letting us know upfront what was not going to get through those tight spaces so we were able to leave couple of stuff to sell it instead. Rest of the furniture for the basement required some serious moving skills, but they were able to figure it out. We were very pleased with the service overall. Most of all it was the value we received for what we paid. Moving is stressful and expensive already, most movers try to take advantage of that to make a little extra but these guys didn’t. Their cost was very fair.

They were early, they worked until the job was done, and they were very careful with our stuff. They didn't even take a break until it was done! Super hard-working guys! Jordan and Bailey were the guys that moved us, they were so awesome! They were super nice, very experienced, and methodical with the work they accomplished. We had a lot of stuff and several stairs and the only damage was a small chip in one of our doorways! They recorded on our paperwork and I'm sure that it will be a quick fix. We needed some large items moved from the basement room to the garage upstairs and a small spinet piano moved from one room to the garage. The two gentlemen sent were on time and friendly. They were patient with me as I tried to help with moving equipment and tools. They were efficient and careful not to bump walls and scratch flooring. My only suggestion would be that they bring moving straps and dollies with a well stocked tool box for dismantling beds and other items as necessary. They could not move my bed frame upstairs as we didn't have the correct wrench to remove bolts. Otherwise, good job, I paid what I expected to pay and was pleased with their service.

Two clean young men, Ian and Stephen, showed up and unloaded the 15' moving van in less than two hours. They cheerfully put things where asked and then moved furniture when we changed our minds. Another remarkable service was having the manager answer a call about our mover's arrival time after business hours on a Saturday. Best price I could find for any moving company. Two great young men moved us. They were nice and super hard working and finished more than we expected. In 2 hours, they got all of our furniture off of a third level condo, packed the moving van incredibly well, and got it all unloaded at our house a mile away. super upfront about all pricing and fees, don't charge you more than you expect, highly recommend. Do pad and wrap furniture well in preparation for the move.

When the locally-based service we wanted to hire couldn't do our move, they recommended Big Boy Movers to us. We had a fairly large in-town move, 2 large trucks. It was easy to schedule and arrange, and they were easy to reach when I needed to make a couple changes. I was glad to learn they would move our upright piano for an extra $100 fee, as some places would not. I had the option of one team of 3 for 8 hours, or two teams of 3 for 4 hours for $200 more, and I'm glad I chose the latter, because they did start to slow down after working so hard. Plus, they let me know in advance that if we needed them for longer, we could just add that to the bill. Best money I've ever spent! They were professional and made sure they knew what we wanted by walking through the plan with us before starting. They were 10 minutes late, but made sure they charged us for the correct time (I think they even took off a few more minutes). I do recommend labeling every box clearly. They were very careful with our stuff and not making a mess in our brand new home, did a great job. We were so impressed by their hard work that we ordered them pizza as well as tipping them. My only complaint would be one scuff on a wall (no big deal, really), and one vase got broken, but I forgot to label that box "fragile", so that was really my own fault. We were blessed to be able to afford movers to help us, and now I will never move without movers again, even if we could only afford help with the big stuff. It is so worth the money! Big Boy was awesome and we would recommend them to anyone. As a note to the company, I don't remember everyone's name who worked on our move, but they are excellent workers, particularly the guy who supervised the group! Thank you!

We had such an Amazing experience with Big Boy Movers (Donovan Timothy & Kaden Norton). We didn't know what to expect, so we just got 2 movers for 2 hours. I figured if they could just move some of the heavy, big furniture then it would be a win. They ended up moving EVERYTHING we had! They finished all the real heavy pieces in minutes (which I thought would take an hour). They never stopped. They just kept going and going. Literally, they just would walk in grab boxes and just go up and down the stairs. Since you're paying by the hour you might assume they'd be slow and take their time, but that wasn't the case here. They were strong, fast and thorough. The were careful with our things and packed them smart and secure in the trucks. We actually ended up being finished before the 2 hours was even up. Highly recommend and would definitely use again. The price is ABSOLUTELY worth it too.

Told them the distance I was moving. Then when it was time to pay, the price was $60 more than quoted because of the distance. Which I thought was already included in the price quote. Also they wrapped my TV and when they unloaded it, there was a chip in the screen. I do appreciate their services. And the people are really nice. Just upset about the TV and price adjustment. Big Boy Movers helped us move in May of 2015. As a family with 6 children and all the stuff that entails, we had two very large trucks to unload. I could not have been happier with these college boys that moved in our stuff! First, I'll talk about their attitudes - they were cheerful, courteous, and focused on getting the job done while always asking where we wanted things and how we wanted them arranged. They were even patient as sometimes I had to take a minute and figure out where I did want things to go. They didn't even bat an eye at the ridiculous amount of food storage we have and made every effort to even organize it for me in our cold storage room. Second, they were very careful with our belongings. I watched them spend considerable energy moving obnoxiously heavy things and even while they were straining with heavy furniture they were careful and treated it like their own. They were also careful to not ding walls, flooring, etc. while coming and going. They just worked and worked and were still remarkably cheerful after several hours. I ordered pizza for them because I realized they were probably starving. They were hesitant to take a break to eat but I persisted and then they happily snarfed it down. Frankly, I felt like they deserved steak dinners after all that work. All in all, our move couldn't have gone more smoothly and I can't say enough about how fantastic this company and their movers were to work with!

They were on time in the time frame given to us- and though those flights of stairs are absolutely brutal- Chad K. and Ulysses A. never complained once-- in fact they were CHEERFUL the whole time!! (which blew our minds- especially knowing how hard moving into that place was initially.) We were kept informed of time frames, responsibilities, coverage etc as well extra steps to make sure we were okay with going over on time and paying for an additional hour (or 30 mins can't remember). They were flexible with the time frames and understanding with our inexperience of knowing how long we should have expected/ needed. The prices are absolutely fair for the excellent work provided, our stuff was kept in great shape and clean throughout the entire moving process. As we had rooms labeled on boxes, they were placed in the appropriate rooms designated- which was a HUGE relief due to the heavier items we would not have been able to do on our own. We will absolutely be recommending and using big boy movers in the future!

I can't say enough great things about Big Boy movers. We've actually used them twice: 4 years ago they helped us move all of our things from our moving truck into our 3rd floor apartment. The two men that showed up each carried two heavy boxes at a time, and practically ran up and down our stairs in 90+ degree heat. Anytime someone else can move my stuff, it’s better than the alternative. Young college aged crew, didn’t take anything apart or wrap anything, but my stuff was moved. Half of the pile of boxes in the garage was clearly marked “basement”, they were just ready to be done & I got to move it downstairs after discovering it. Not the professional movers I’d had in the past, but again, I didn’t have to move my stuff, so it’s better than not having movers. They were nice guys and nothing was broken.

The only reason I hold back on a full 5 stars is that there was a little bit of damage to some of the bigger pieces of furniture and things got a little dirty. But that being said... it was very minimal and we moved in the beginning of January when things were quite mucky outside! So I’m thinking that it is kind of part of moving. If there were a 4.5 star. I would give them that! They were awesome! I would totally use them again!

The good - The guys who showed up worked really hard and knew how to disassemble and reassemble my furniture pretty well. They were kind and courteous. The bad - They were almost 3 hours late. They didn't bring a mattress cover even though I paid for one and they did get my mattress dirty. The meh - It look much longer than they quoted me, that is understandable. They gave me a 10% discount for being so late. Overall, I would probably go with someone else that provides everything you pay for and can keep a better schedule.

I was initially favorably impressed with Big Boy movers- one of the managers called me the week prior to the move to check up on any specialty items. I told him I had a piano and a dolly would be needed to move it. He assured me that the employees loading my truck would have a dolly. The day of the move-two young men show up a half hour later than scheduled. No big deal- I figure that can still easily load my stuff within the five hours that was scheduled and probably a lot faster. They didn't have a dolly, when I told them I had talked to a manager the week before they said no one had told them to bring a dolly. They began loading the truck and it was going very well, when they decided they needed a dolly for the piano. Because of the parking situation the truck was parked about two units down from my townhouse, so they couldn't just power lift it into the truck. So one of the guys goes to get a dolly from u-haul. More than an hour goes by and he hadn't come back. The other mover says the first u-haul didn't have one so he had to go to another one. Meanwhile, the mover who stayed is working his butt off but it's hard to make progress by yourself. While I'm writing this, I'm still waiting for the second mover who's time I'm paying for to show up with the dolly. I don't blame the workers, but the management of the company could stand to be a little more organized and ensure that the movers have the right equipment for the job. They appear to have great employees and I can't complain about the work ethic, but it's frustrating as a customer that the job is taking longer than it needs to.

What a wonderful option. When our mover that we had chose (Sugar House Moving) raised the price by 25% we chose to look elsewhere and found this wonderful option to move our home. We had lived in our home for 26 years and we had ALOT of stuff. The young men were careful, respectful, and prompt. I had to ask them to take a break ! I highly suggest that you look into this option and rent a U-Haul and save. Had my interaction with Sugar House Moving not been such a bad experience I would never have found this great moving option. I would defiantly use them again, but I will never move again LOL.
