We had another moving company that moved us from Florida to Maine storage facility. It was a nightmare. TWO MEN and a TRUCK were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! They were great from the office to the movers. The moving crew where careful and respectful of our stuff and our property. I rate them five stars because ten stars is not an option!

Two men and a Truck assisted me with our move out of the Beacon at Gateway apartment complex last week. The crew was pleasant, quick and careful with my items. The packed unit was on the third floor with no elevator (thanks Beacon at Gateway) and the three man moving team worked really hard with those stairs to make the loading quick and easy. They arrived ahead of schedule and their offload at my new house in Falmouth was very quick as well. The only room for improvement would have been for the MANY items that had to be deposited in my basement to have been stacked just a bit more orderly... All in all, I was very impressed with the professionalism of the crew and the speed with which the moved happened. I've had horrible past experiences with moving companies, and this was a vast improvement. To note: I did reserve all delicate/ fragile/ family heirloom pieces to be moved by myself, personally packed. All lamps, artwork and irreplaceable items went with me, and not loaded or transported with the crew and truck. This gave me control and responsibility and resulted in ZERO damage to my items. Frankly, it's the only way to move- limit risk. The paperwork was easy, with an online reservation form emailed to me in advance of the move and they took a CC payment on site at completion of the move. I would 100% recommend Two Men and a Truck to a friend.

As promised, I received a call the day before the move to confirm plans: the day of the move, another call with their ETA. The three young men were very careful with all my furniture, they moved quickly and almost as if choreographed. They were professional yet friendly. It was a highly successful move. We used Two Men and a Truck for a local move and couldn't be happier with the service, professionalism, and efficiency of the team. I had to change our move date after we initially booked due to construction delays and the admin team was friendly and quick in making it work for our schedule. The movers arrived right on time at 8am the day of our move and were professional, respectful, and very nice and polite young men. They set expectations very clearly up front, took excellent care of our belongings, were very quick on both ends, and checked with us on any questions they had. We had some very tight spaces and steep stairs in our new house and they navigated them with ease and without complaint. Our initial estimate was for 7-9 hours and they finished in 6, saving us time and money. I hope not to move again for a very long time but if we do, I would use Two Men and a Truck without hesitation and would recommend them to anyone looking for an affordable, high quality moving team.

I was on a tight timeline to get out of my apartment and Two Men and a Truck was so accommodating with my short notice! They were super friendly and patient on the phone in getting the move date set up, and they were flexible in accommodating my schedule. When the crew arrived, they were prompt, wicked friendly, clear about the process and expectations, and very respectful of my stuff. Also due to short notice, I wasn't able to get a local storage unit as big as I wanted. I told the crew I was nervous about it all fitting in there - and they admitted they were a bit nervous too 🙂 They put a lot of thought and care into loading the storage unit and were able to make it all fit! Two Men and a Truck completed our move from one single-family house to another this past weekend. The office team, as well as the moving team, were absolutely phenomenal. What an amazing team! The moving team consisted of three young men, Justin, Gabe and Yomar. Justin was the lead person. He was professional and knowledgeable in this lead role. All three movers interacted with us in a professional and friendly manner. They got to work right away and worked steadily through the move out, and then again at the move in location. They handled our furniture with care. At one point we had a challenge with getting the washer/dryer out of a tight space. They worked together with us, got creative and solved the problem in a safe way. There were high fives all around. Justin, Gabe and Yomar worked so well together as a team. I needed to move furniture from my mom’s estate to my cottage and only had a window of about 3 days and you were able to fit it in. Great guys who cared about my stuff and were careful with packing, delivery, unloading, and setting into the rooms. Very nice and courteous and appeared clean kept. I have been meaning to get around to this for a while now. I worked for T women for 6 months during the pandemic and It was an experience I will never forget. I got the opportunity to do a real man's work and while some days were longer than others and some days were harder than others I got to do it with the best people I could've asked for. Loading up in the truck in the morning and knowing we were going to make a difference and take the weight and the stress of moving from our clients was euphoric we had a good system when I got there that only got better as I left. This is one of the most satisfactory experiences I have had with a moving company. I have moved three times in the last six years and TWO MEN AND A TRUCK far out passed and out classed any other company I have used. The positive experience began with the intake of information for the estimate and continued right through to the day after the move when they called to check in. Overall had a good moving experience with Two Men and a Truck though there were hiccups along the way. We used the pack services as well as the moving services so had 2 separate days. First, they booked us for the July rather than June - when we called to correct this, they told us all had been resolved, however come packing day they did not show up at the expected time slot. It took multiple attempts on the phone to finally reach a person, despite the fact they had a dedicated line for people who were calling on the day of their move. Turns out they had not corrected the pack date in their calendar. Fortunately they were able to send a few guys out later in the day to pack for us, and they were very efficient with the pack. A day prior to the move, the company called to say they had concerns about where they would park the truck on move day. I was surprised they waited this long to let me know this as we had booked a month prior and they knew our address - I would expect them to be familiar with the challenges of moving in a city or to let us know in advance if parking arrangements needed to be made. We made a plan to either park in our driveway or along the street as this is commonly done by people moving in our area. On the day of the move, we had unexpected construction on our street. When the guys came with the truck, they weren't able to get it in the driveway due to the construction vehicles. They told us that per their manager, they would have to reschedule the move due to the parking issue and offered no other solutions. Again - I would have been more than happy to make arrangements to reserve part of the street for moving prior if I had known they would require this, but nobody from their company ever asked me to do that. I was not impressed that their "solution" was to reschedule as we had planned everything around moving on that day. Instead, I went up to the construction workers myself and asked if they could move their vehicles so that we could get the truck in our driveway, and they were more than happy to help us. We were able to proceed with the move without much further issue. On the positive, nothing broke en route and the guys were very friendly and worked efficiently. The move was finished in less time than anticipated. We were not impressed with the communication with the company (you never reach anyone the first couple times you call) or with the manager's unprofessional decision to just reschedule the move due to a minor issue with parking - an issue which I myself resolved easily. I would expect a moving company to have better solutions to what must be a common issue in their field. The goal for hiring movers was to make the move less stressful, but our experience was more stressful than we would have liked.

I had three men and a truck for my move from my bedroom in my daughter's home, to my storage units and then all to the house I was going to rent. They all showed up on time in Yarmouth, loaded my few pieces of furniture and then headed to the storage facility on Presumscot in Portland. I had two 10x15 units there that they got cleaned out pretty quickly, and then headed to my place in Westbrook. All in all, it was just under four hours - including drive time. There were no stairs and no assembling of furniture. The bill was $875. The three guys worked smoothly, professionally and were very pleasant to deal with, especially Brandon who was in charge. Cody was a hard worker, and I believe the third fellow was Efar - not sure how to spell his name, but he worked hard as well, even though it seemed he was fairly new. I have used Two Men and a Truck in Florida as well. Nice organization and would definitely use them again, but this was my second move in four months, and I don't want to do it again for a very long time, if ever! lol

I used these guys for a move within Portland. When I made the reservation, the agent said the minimum hire for their company is 1 hour and additional time is calculated in 15 mins increments. I was given an estimate to hire them for up to 3 hours, but after going over the items I was moving and the distance, the booking agent said this job should only take 1 to 1.5 hour. This is where it gets interesting. I want to emphasize the move itself was fine, but there were a few things you should ask them before you make your reservation. YMMV. 1) The movers were supposed to start at 11:30 am. At 11:08 am, one of them called and informed me that they should arrive in 30 minutes. However, they did not arrive until 12:15 pm (45 mins late). 2) The actual move was completed swiftly within an hour from 12:15 to 1:15 pm; however, when I was presented with the final bill, they tried to charge for 1.75 hour. They said that according to their fine print in the pre-estimate, I am also responsible for the “45 minutes of travel time” to the starting location. This equates to an extra $161. I have no control over where they were coming from or where was their last job. One would expect them to show up on time at 11:30 and ready for their job. I have used other movers previously and “travel time” to reach the move-out location was never billed. The manager agreed to give me a discount but I still paid an extra $66 for them being 45 mins late. When I tried to access the pre-estimate form online to read the fine prints, it appears the form is no longer available for viewing. 3) I didn’t realize I was paying for 3 guys instead of 2 guys- I don’t know if there’s an option to hire only 2. If you want to hire TWO Men and a Truck, you’d want to confirm their hourly rate. YMMV but I’d recommend having a through reading of their contracts before booking. I’d also recommend the company to be more transparent about your quote. If you want to bill for “travel time,” it should be an item listed next to the fuel and insurance charges. Again, the move itself was fine and all items arrived safely.

The movers showed up on time and did not waste any time loading the truck. They took care of every item as if it was priceless. The movers were amazing to watch. It was a bitter cold windy day but they never complained. We were able to finish in record time and my overall bill was lower then the estimate. At that time, their services were rated by me as being 5 Star, without question! With renovations completed, we again called on them to return those items back into the house. Their services are varied and extensive in assisting folks like me who needed their expertise and proficiency. They all are simply GREAT! The best money I've ever spent! I'm an OCD, DIY girl, I've moved over 50 times, never with movers. But now I'm 50, lol, and it was time to bite the bullet. I'm so, so glad I did! When I called, I was promptly directed to the local office and they answered all my questions thoroughly and professionally. I was given a well explained estimate, and an appointment date that was prompt and convenient. When I met the movers, they were very professional and FAST but also very careful and respectful with my dust covered hodgepodge of stuff. Everything was explained thoroughly throughout the whole process, and the struggle was real on my end but I was able to relax and let them do an amazing job. Unload was also great. They finished a half hour ahead of schedule so I ended up paying less than the lowest end of the price range estimated. Amazing experience at a great value, thank you so much, 2m+t@Westbrook ME! Mine was not a big move but it included some heavy antiques and sleeper sofas. Getting an appointment was quick and easy. The 2 guys arrived on schedule-and I mean eerily withing 5 minutes of the scheduled time. They made short work of loading-less than an hour. There were no tracks in the house. Everything that needed it was wrapped and secured. The two guys were businesslike but informative. The entire operation came in below the estimate. Was I satisified. This was the best commercial move I have had. And I am pretty old. Thanks guys.

Adam and his team did a great job in difficult circumstances: late fall snow and ice, bitter cold, and an unheated seasonal cottage at the end of a long dirt road presented challenges. They were careful, polite, and on time, calling each time they left Westbrook so I would know when to expect them. Would recommend them highly.

However due to the flu we have not left the house since moving day. This morning I went to my car and found one of our boxes they carried in on the ground in the snow next to our deck. Our experience started with Joshua on the phone. He was so patient with me while I explained what we had to move and how important it was to treat our Kamado Joe with kid gloves. He assured me that they would handle it like it was their own. Sold. The morning of the move came, we thought we were prepared. John called to let us know they were 30 minutes away. They arrived 15 minutes before their one hour time window, which was AWESOME because it was the first move of the day, so traffic would cooperate. John, Laurel, and Mike arrived, dressed to sweat, which was encouraging. We gave them a tour of the house to show them what would going and what was staying. We had everything boxed and labeled so they knew which floor and room at the new house they would be putting things into. That was it, a minute or two to get to know one another, made all the difference. The hardest part was staying out of their way. My husband and I tried to stay out of the way in the small kitchen area, while they went to work. Holy bats in a brown bag, Batman! There was no denying the work ethic these three had. Because we had everything boxed and labeled, Laurel and Mike immediately started moving items up from the basement and into the truck, neatly stacking everything, as if it was their own, while John got to work wrapping the furniture. Grateful that we had everything boxed and labeled clearly, they didn't stop to ask questions. Within 2 hours they had our apartment, deck, and garage emptied and on the truck, even the Kamado Joe. John took my Italian marble that my father-in-law brought back from Italy and transported it in the cab of his truck himself. When we got to the new house, it was exactly the same work ethic in reverse....it went much faster. The only glitch in the entire process, was that my husband and I hadn't measured our mission style sofa and it didn't fit through the smaller cape doors to the living room. Not to be defeated, John pulled out his tool kit and started to go to work removing one arm, to get the sofa through the door. I have to tell you, my husband and I tried to stay in the kitchen, away from the work, because we didn't want to stare, it was so difficult, but 30 minutes later, John and Mike had that dad gum sofa in the living room, and my husband and I were in the kitchen high-fiving each other while Laurel continued to haul box upon box of movies and books past us to the upstairs and downstairs, wearing a huge smile the entire time. I simply can not say enough good things about this move. The only problem we had, was staying out of their way while they executed their plan. We were completely moved out of our old apartment and into our new home within 4.5 hours, and that included them taking a couple , very much needed, water breaks. Thank you so much John, Laurel, and Mike. We'll be sending some molasses cookies to the office for you all! The Struebs P.S. That sofa is sturdier now than it was before the move, Nice!
