This is our second time using PDX Movers and they exceeded our expectations in every aspect! Communications upfront and throughout the process are so professional and detailed. No hidden costs or fees, and they give you information to help you plan your move and call you to remind you of next steps. We had the BEST moving team. Antonio, Will and Isaac were friendly, efficient, careful, and made the moving process seamless. They kept the energy high, quality a priority and sprinkled the day with fun conversation and bits of comedy too! They are proud of their work and care for their customers. Professional, efficient, and thorough. These guys really took the headache and stress out of moving. Jose E, Jonathan L, Billy showed up on time and got to work straightaway. They ensured both properties and all of our belongings were meticulously wrapped and protected; nothing, by the way, was damaged during the move. We moved twice this year and our experience with PDX Movers was by far the best. The entire experience was great. They were responsive throughout the whole process -- very quick to set up an appointment to do the estimate and a follow-up call to review and check-ins before the move date. Moving day went more smoothly than I ever expected. The crew (Jose E, Cory A, Dominic H, Josh E, Taylor F, and Zack L) all arrived early and got right to work. We were moving a four bedroom house with a good deal of furniture, but they had everything carefully wrapped in just a few hours. They were all professional, polite, and exceptionally carefully with our belongings. At our destination, they were equally efficient unloading the truck and placing items throughout the house, even making some last minute adjustments from floor to floor. They took care to protect door frames and the hardwood floors and everything arrived with no damage. PDX Movers was great to work with and recommend them highly!

BEST INVESTMENT EVER!!! I moved cross country from Portland, OR to Chicago, IL 10 Days ago and I am still talking about the amazing experience I had with this company. The entire staff if fabulous, professional and organized. My first contact was Seth who gave me great industry insight and a spot on estimate. Then Kaari M. (their estimator) came out to my home, same day, to verify my items and confirm the estimate given over the phone. Moving day I had Tanner M. Khyle N. and Justice the best packer/movers I've ever worked with! They were on time, professional, supportive to one another, and gave me the red carpet treatment. I have to say I had a lot of glass items, from shelving to artwork and not a single thing was broken!!! Wildly impressed. My driver was Will. He was a hoot! He was able to drive the truck into the loading dock and direct the movers here in Chicago very well. I feel horrible as I do not remember their names. My brain went dead that day from so much excitement and anticipation. We feed them Pizza though so I hope they will forgive me. Deja was another contact person thoughout the move that was great customer service. As if I haven't gushed enough... A few days after settling in I realized I was missing a decorative basket with a few items I could not find. I swear the same hour I text my friends who helped me move if they knew where it was I received an email from PDXMovers saying my basket was a stowaway that had somehow been found in the back of the truck. They are shipping it to me as we speak so I can officially say nothing was lost either! A 5 star review does not seem enough for how great this company is. Do yourself a favor. Call them ASAP!!! PDX Movers has moved us four times locally in the span of 2.5 years and we have nothing but rave reviews! They moved us from our house in Tigard when we sold it and into a temporary rental in Beaverton, then into a fixer upper we purchased in Lake Oswego, out of the fixer and into an apartment for a full remodel, and then back into our forever home after the remodel. They have a crew of professional, skilled workers who work hard until the job is done. They are very careful with your belongings, wrapping everything adequately with blankets and plastic wrap. They are creative problem solvers when it when it comes to moving through tight spaces, moving heavy furniture, and packing the cages effectively and efficiently in order to save you money on space. Our moves over the past 2.5 years have involved challenging logistics and these guys got the jobs done with excellence and much patience. I MUST give a special shoutout to Cory L, Seth, Grady, Ethan, Brayden, Tanner, and Nic, several of whom have seen us through all four of our moves! Keep rockin' it guys!

Elias, Corey, and Eric made our move into our first house stress-free and seamless! As long-time apartment dwellers who have moved every year or two, they were easily the most careful of any movers we've ever hired with our items and took great care to wrap everything and protect both our furniture and our home. Parts of the house were being painted while they moved us in, and they took that, our cats, and our awkwardly-placed doors in stride. I was incredibly impressed by their professionalism, good humor, and quick turn-around. I highly recommend PDX Movers, and thank you to Elias, Corey, and Eric for making our move so easy!

PDX Movers was an amazing company to work with! My aunt has physical and developmental disabilities and needs to stick to her morning routine. They understood and were able to accommodate us. The move before ours was underestimated, which pushed our move later. Doing the move the next day was not an option due to her medical equipment. PDX Movers immediately went into problem solving mode. They found more guys to help and did our move in record-time. Three of the guys had already been working since 7am, and our move didn't end until 9:30pm. They busted it out! They worked so fast, had great attitudes and took good care of everything. This company was on the higher end of cost and it was worth every penny!! They were a pleasure to work with and took great care of all of us, and our things, after a REALLY long day of working.

I called on a Monday hoping to find help moving my mother from her home into a retirement community on that coming Wednesday. I thought it may be an unrealistic request because of the short notice. I was pleasantly surprised by their willingness to fit me in their schedule. They moved my mother on that Wednesday! They communicated with me about the schedule and when they would be arriving. The movers were professional, polite, respectful of property and very patient with all of us. They were very nice young men and a pleasure to work with. My PDX Movers team were great. From the estimator, to the scheduler to the 3 movers on moving day. All were sensitive and responsive. On move day, they listened well and were careful. One of the movers was incredibly spatially adept at getting tricky larger items into a room with a tight entrance without having to dismantle and rebuild them -no scrapes or dings. I never felt like I was asking too much. The three of them worked seamlessly to make things happen as stress-free as possible for me. Thank you PDX Movers.

We used PDX Movers to clear out our main floor for floor refinishing. The team of Megan A, Jeff and Joey W showed up right on time and went to work immediately and efficiently. They coordinated well with the piano mover who showed up at the same time. While most of the move was into our adjacent garage, they did a great job carefully protecting and stacking the furniture and disassembling several pieces. We look forward to the same team coming back in a few weeks to help us move everything back in. We heartily recommend PDX Movers!

Scheduled a delivery with another company and they attempted a delivery with 1 person. The man struggled for 30-40 minutes without success. A month later, PDX movers scheduled a delivery and was successful. They even were able to accommodate for my work schedule. Josh E, Andrew E and Will Nelson arrived on time and delivered a commercial item weighing more than 500 lbs efficiently and quickly. They took the excess shipping packaging away with them. Was very happy with the delivery and service.

They were flexible and very reasonable in the organization (even shifting the day last minute), and took great care with moving furniture in. Nothing was damaged in the home or in the boxes. We were very pleased with PDX Movers. We had a bit of a complicated move, as we sold one hose before our other was ready. So, everything went to storage, then a week later picked up from storage and moved to another state. The staff at PDX were great. They came out and gave us a quote which we thought was reasonable for the move - then they stuck to the quote! All the movers were on time, pleasant, and did a good job.

I hired PDX movers through uhaul and I had the best experience. They were on time, extremely nice, and detailed oriented. Multiple times they put things aside that needed to be bubble wrapped so it wouldn't be broken in transit. They also packed the truck in such a way that nothing would move in transit. I would recommend these workers 10x times over again.

PDX Movers has a bold claim of being a 5-star moving company and they delivered (pun intended). I had a tight schedule for an out of state move. I put in many quote requests and PDX Movers were one of the few to respond and the only ones to call me personally about my move. Tayslie worked with me any my inflexible timeline AND a holiday to get me moved. She worked hard with her team to make it work and the times/dates quoted are exactly how things went. On moving day, they took great care of my belongings and wrapped furniture so well. If you have wood furniture that you don't want dinged, hire these guys and their master wrappers like Megan and Ivan. When it came to loading the truck, they cared more about my stuff than the speed of loading. I've had many movers before and most are in a rush and that's when mistakes happen. Will, the driver, made sure my stuff was secure before personally driving out of state. PDX Movers contracted local help at my destination. They weren't your typical hired labor, they hired actual movers with experience that kept up with PDX Movers' high standards. Tayslie, Will, Megan, and Ivan. I can't thank you all enough for the excellent job you did at the most stressful time in many people's lives!

I saw their truck on one of our drives back and forth to Bend, so I thought I would reach out and get a quote. PDX movers were very responsive, organized, and user friendly. The sales process was easy and that was exactly what I needed as we were selling and buying a house at the same time. On the day of the move, they call ahead of time to let you know they were on the way. I am grateful to Ian (lead), Abraham, George, Brayden and Brayden. They all took great care of my things as they secured, packed and loaded. They came prepared with moving blankets and tape. Even when there was more stuff than what was anticipated, they figured everything out quickly to get another truck from the warehouse and not losing much time. Ian communicated with me all throughout the process. When they arrived the next day, they moved everything to where it was marked at very efficiently. They even put back together the beds and other items that were disassembled. When the 2nd load was unloaded later that week, I worked with Isai and Abraham. I appreciate them sending someone who I had worked with before. Overall the move went very smooth and I am very happy with choosing PDX movers. Thank you!

They delivered our stuff to our new home in the dalles and we're fantastic! We had Logan and his crew and they were all so kind, professional, personable and made sure everything was moved very carefully. They laid down protection on our floors and put up padding on the door corners for extra precautions. Would highly recommened using this company. They were a breath of fresh air from the company who packed our stuff initially, crosstown movers were not careful with our stuff and just kind of played a giant game of janga using all of our blankets as protection and packing paper.. If you ever plan on using zippyshell...just don't. PDX movers were amazing!!!

We used PDX Movers to move us from Portland to Camas,WA in September. It is perhaps most interesting to see that our crew (crewleader Dan, Jeff, and Paul) deserve the same praise as the other different crews mentioned in other reviews. This indicates to me that the company is doing a good job of both hiring and training. I agree with but will not repeat compliments from other recent reviews on Google. Additional info: Note that not all local movers are licensed to cross state lines. Our pre-move price estimate was excellent. As a local move, we paid by the hour, not by weight. Our crew was perfectly willing to wear face masks, if we wished them to do so. It was up to us to provide efficient and safe parking for the moving van. This was a problem for other reviewers, but not a huge one for us. We had an intermediate stop at a storage facility between our townhouse and final destination, which was not a problem for PDX. Summary: We have used many movers over the years. PDX Movers was the best.

Price is great, and they have moved me 3 times now. The movers are always amazing and awesome. I have a very large and expensive massage chair, and they got it out of my old house and into my new house. It took 4 guys to lift it up the stairs and get it into the room I wanted it in. I couldn’t ask for more. They moved everything without damage from my Hillsboro home to my new Beaverton home. I highly recommend them.

Considering I’m a Real Adult(TM) with the budget of a toddler given a little spending money, I naturally own a lot of IKEA furniture. Even knowing my furniture is essentially just uncooked macaroni hot glued together with fabric tossed on top, my movers still lovingly wrapped every last piece with care - and not a single macaroni was damaged. Shaun G, Justice, and Ivan were the best movers I’ve ever dealt with between the companies I’ve hired in the Corvallis, Beaverton, Hillsboro, and Portland areas. They were incredibly efficient with their time, only stopping to strategize how they could most effectively utilize their skill sets during each leg of the move. At one point, one of my new neighbors even stopped them to ask for a business card. Definitely bodes well for PDX Movers (maybe not for my new apartment, lol)! Will absolutely use them again.

I had 24 hours to move due to damage and PDX Movers was quick to respond and assist, even though we were in the middle of a snow/ice storm and my place was without power. Hands down the best moving company experience ever! Tim, Gabriel, Brandon & Isiah made the move go smoothly. This team of guys took great care of all of my furniture wrapping it securely in blankets and wrap. They were able to get a second truck onsite within an hour when we ran out of space on the first truck (due my mistake on the original inventory sheet). PDX Movers were a lifesaver for me and my husband in January when another moving company we had booked was unable to fulfill the job due to COVID-related staffing shortages. We were referred to PDX Movers who kept the same date we had booked originally and honored the quote from the other company, which they weren't required to do. It was a big job and the crew they sent out—which included Rowan (lead), Thunder B., J-Low, and Chico M.—did a phenomenal job. They were friendly, efficient, respectful of our things, and were simply pleasant people with which to spend what can be a stressful day. We have one particularly large couch that was difficult to maneuver, but they were undeterred and even took off and put back on our front door to get it into the house, something my husband and I would not have been able to do on our own. First off, the company was able to accommodate our move with less then two weeks notice. They were very communicative throughout the whole process. We had three movers who came and helped with the move. James M, Nick, and Bryan H were the best. They were super efficient and skilled and took the best care of all of our things. Our moving crew was awesome! Very professional, hardworking and loaded all our things quickly and efficiently. Durane drove the moving truck with all, our things from Portland to St George Utah in the middle of winter, and it took only 3 days. Everything arrived in great condition. The crew in St George was awesome as well. I would highly recommend PDX movers for your next move. Only suggestion would be, if your doing long distance make sure you know the weight your being quoted on, and keep track. It was a bit stressful to get under the specs of the weight and cubic ft. Of the truck.

We had PDX pack us up and move us out of state. John and his team of packers did a fantastic job wrapping/protecting my heirlooms and furniture. NOTHING WAS BROKEN during the move! The movers were expeditious in loading and unloading the truck taking extra precautions when needed. Had a great experience with our crew! Billy was lead and was joined by Serge and Abram for all 3 days of our move. We had 9 guys the 2nd day, with those 3 joined by Logan, Cody B, Thunder, Rowan, Walker and Cody F. This was the loading day, and all were careful with our possessions, very helpful and efficient. Day 3 for the unload was a crew of 5 with Logan and Cody B joining the usual 3. Once again, they were on time, and everyone worked hard and seemed almost like family by then as we had spent so much time together. Highly recommend.

The best movers in PDX! I have moved many times in my life. I can say without reservation that PDX movers was the best experience I have ever had with a moving company. They went through everything in detail beforehand. (This is unusual in my experience.) There were no surprise charges. They even seemed interested in helping us minimize costs. PDX Movers handled my long distance move from Lake Oswego to Wyoming. This was my 4th long distance move, and by far the best experience that I’ve had with long distance movers. The truck was integrated, meaning my belongings were the only ones on the truck – something that does not happen with the national chains. The company was competitive with other long distance moving quotes that I received. Chris, Franklin and Lauren worked efficiently and energetically on the Portland side, getting everything packed, padded and loaded onto the truck in about 4 hours. They even assisted me in finishing packing up some of my boxes. Thunder drove the truck to Wyoming and delivered my furniture in 3 days, unloading it with a local WY guy by themselves in record time. All PDX staff were very cordial and responsive, and kept me apprised every step of the way. PDX Movers got called in to help me move in from out of state, and it was after our original company called and cancelled on us. The movers that helped me move down in CA were AWFUL and I was grinding my teeth trying to keep cool under the collar. These guys came in after 2 bad experiences and were absolutely AWESOME!! And I really mean it. My Father owns a roofing company and he tends to fire people who do not work hard enough, including but not limited to his brother, literally all of my close group of friends, and roughly 30 other applicants in the last 25 years. He tried to offer Walker (who was running the show in addition to running up and down the stairs with furniture in his hands) a job at least 10 times, and I think towards the end he had already given him a raise- maybe two. Walker, Jose G, Landon, and Joey were a great team and they treated our stuff as if it was their own. They had a good time with us and managed to laugh about the fact that my king sized bed had to go up 3 flights of stairs with no elevator. 10/10 WILL use again, and this is my official recommendation to all friends-- go with PDX movers. These guys are great. (Also, My dad was unsuccessful in recruiting Walker so I think he is still there making things happen, like a CHAMPION.) Thanks again dudes!

We recently moved from our home in Beaverton to a condo on the 4th floor in a building. We had the two hardest working and professional PDX Mover teammates to move us. Isai and Abraham carefully packed our furniture and belongings into their moving truck and then unloaded us by navigating parking on a side street, carrying everything down a long stretch of sidewalk, and then using an elevator up to our fourth floor condo at the other end of the building. We were super impressed with the commitment, endurance, and support these two gentlemen exhibited during the entire ordeal. The move took longer and was more challenging because of the parking and use of an elevator, which Isai and Abraham told us not to worry and that they would take care of everything until the move was complete and we were safely in our new place. And that they did. I would recommend the PDX Moving Team and especially Isai and Abraham....really nice guys!

From the first phone call, through the estimate process and actual moving day, the experience has been great. We had a 2 story 2800 sf house. We had packed the majority of our belongings, and there was a lot of it. They arrived at the stated time of 0930 AM. There were 4 of them and they had everything loaded in the truck by 2 PM. I was absolutely amazed. They took great care with our belongings, making sure to not only wrap the furniture with pads, but again with a plastic wrap to prevent any dampness from affecting the furniture. Dez was the lead, and along with Gabe, Francisco and Ethan did a fantastic job. Our belongings are now safely stored in their warehouse and when we have a new place to move to they will bring them to us and unload them. I cannot say enough good things about them. I read a lot of reviews and did a lot of homework, and this is one of the few companies that does not contract out the delivery and unloading to a third party. I am comfortable that my belongings will arrive in good shape. I would recommend them to anyone.

I heard them speak of it being a training day and I'll admit I was nervous when I thought we had a team of new hires moving our executive office equipment and furniture. Billy and his team worked very efficiently and took the utmost care of our belongings. They were thorough and polite and worked very well as a team, the communication was spot on. We were so impressed that they finished our job early and we ended up paying a good amount less than we were originally quoted. I wouldn't have even noticed had they charged me the quoted price since I was so busy with out other pieces of the office move. Their integrity goes beyond where it can be seen. They actually found $25 in my bosses office and brought it over to me. Nobody would've known. They said "We are honest people" so hard to come by nowadays. Great teamwork by all involved. As it was, PDX Movers sent us an amazing team in the midst of a pandemic AND the smoky fallout of the 2020 fires SE of Portland. ED, GABE and ISAI did a great job moving all of our stuff! We had furniture filling a 2 bed 1 bath apartment. We had 2 mattresses (1 king and 1 full), a kitchen table, 6 Chairs, a sectional couch, an ottoman, a desk, tons of baby stuff (crib, changing station, etc) cat tower and about 30 medium/large sized boxes with other miscellaneous things. They were able to load and unload all of it in 2 hours! We were moving buildings within the same apartment complex so that helped with timing. My husband and Mom helped move things as well since we were told that helps keep the move time down. It was great. The guys were friendly, professional, and moved with pace. When we decide to move again we will definitely be using PDX Movers again as the pricing was reasonable/fair and everything went smooth. Overall, the movers did a great job and accommodated a tight scheduling turn around. The only thing the stuck out to me was that they were a bit slower and less efficient than other movers I’ve worked with in the past. Perhaps, it’s because the other movers had ramps on their moving trucks rather than the lift gate which seemed to really slow down the process this time. I moved with less than 1 bedroom worth of stuff and did not really have any overly awkward or super heavy items so the lift gate seemed a little less necessary for my situation and in the end the job cost more than expected. Definitely a lesson learned for me but other than that a good experience!

We used PDX Movers to haul all of our worldly goods from a storage house in Lake Oswego to our new home in Tualatin after moving from Florida to Portland. We have used lots of movers in the past, and PDX Movers has been one of the best companies so far. They came out to do an assessment of what all we had to move so that they could appropriately plan the move. On the day of the move, they arrived on time and were very professional. One item was damaged and that was taken care of as well. It's possible that the item damaged was simply worn out after a very long ride from Florida, but even so they took responsibility for it and made it right. I'll be using them again soon to help us with moving some things around to prepare for some home renovations. Highly recommended!

Although there were some problems, David went out of his way to make things right: On the plus side: 1. David arranged for the crating and packing of high value items so that they would be properly insured. He helped us arrange the insurance. We did not know how to arrange these things ourselves. 2. The packers arrived on time and, with two exceptions (see below), did a careful job. 3. The truck driver participated in the unloading and was exceptionally helpful. 4. David was generous about compensating us for two damaged items whose value was much less than our insurance deductible. He was not legally required to do this. On the minus side. 1. Two items were packed incorrectly and so were badly damaged. As I said above, David was very generous about compensating us for this damage. 2. One high value item was not properly identified and so was not crated. Fortunately, the packers did a good job with the conventional packing, so the item arrived undamaged. 3. There were problems with the unloading because the truck was late due to weather (obviously this was not the fault of PDXmovers). But when the truck did arrive, the original unloading crew was no longer available. The crew that did the work was not competent. PDXmovers is aware of this issue and is making plans to be certain that, in the future, competent unloading crews will always be available. I recommend this company but with some reservations. There are two things you should do before deciding on these movers. These caveats apply to all movers, not just PDXmovers. First, be sure that the company representative is present when the packers arrive and has shown the packers every high value item before the packing starts. The packers move fast, so you cannot see everything they do. Second, be sure you know how the unloading crew is chosen, and what their training is. Be aware that although PDXmovers makes every effort to arrive on time, delays can occur that are no fault of theirs. In fact, I believe they make a greater effort to be on time than most movers do. But if the moving truck is late, the original unloading crew may be unavailable. Ask about how a competent unloading crew will be obtained if this should happen. Ask for the contact information for the company that handles the unloading. Although, it is best to contact the original movers if there is a problem, you might want to know what to do if you cannot contact the original movers right away.

Chris and Gilberto delivered a heavy box (175#) the other day, the hot day. PDX movers kept me informed of the progress of the shipping from the beginning. When I noticed that the package had been delivered to their Portland location, I called to see when it would get to my house. I told them I would be out of town toward the end of the delivery window and requested that they try to get it to me before then. They were able to do that. I was given a time window on the selected day and was called a couple times that day to inform me of readjustments in the window. When the item was delivered (Threshold delivery) the men so very kindly actually brought it into the room I needed it in. This was above and beyond and so helpful since I live along and it would be hard for me to manuever from the doorway to the room. I have a ranch story home and the room was only a few feet beyond the door and around a corner so it wasn't too hard on them but they could have stuck to company "rules". Thanks, guys!! UPDATE - I got a call tonight by one of the owners apologizing and listening to my story. I appreciate this and feel like this will be handled internally and hopefully will not happen to anyone else. Original: One star: awful service- bad attitude-My couch was to arrive between 3 and 7 pm. They were to call me 30 minutes ahead of time. I scheduled work around this only to get a call that they were at my door at 2:40 pm and wanted to know if I was home. Um no- what happened to my 30 minute notice? They "tried" to call - but no call on my phone. So could they leave it in the lobby...no? The hall? no? Can't wait 10 minutes for me to arrive? They were mean to the apartment staff - saying they didn't have time for my nonsense - I literally arrived as they were pulling out - I live ten minutes from work. Terrible customer service.
