We used Fox & Ginn recently for an interstate move to a neighboring state. The local crew in Bangor, ME was fantastic. Everything about our experience with them was positive, from initial contact and estimating through packing, loading, and moving. We came in underweight and they honored it by reducing our final balance-owed accordingly. The guys who packed were neat, courteous, efficient, respectful, and funny (which helps at the end of a long and often stress-filled process!). The guys who loaded the truck on moving day were equally wonderful, respectful, careful, and easy to work with. Everything came off the truck on the other end unscathed, and though we haven't unpacked every box yet, I have faith the items inside will be intact when we do. Moving is definitely an industry where you get what you pay for. Fox & Ginn was not the lowest estimate we received, but their estimate was complete and gave me confidence there would be no hidden surprises; there were none. Highly recommend Fox & Ginn. Your sanity moving is worth every penny of their time & expertise!

Highly recommend Fox & Ginn - easiest and least stressful moving experience I've ever had. We used them for an interstate move; everything was coordinated smoothly from the Bangor office, they were always fast to respond to queries, and the teams on both ends were careful, courteous, and good humored. The Maine delivery took place in a snowstorm - the crew showed up spot on time, they were cheerful and quick, and took care to avoid tracking snow inside. Haven't unpacked the boxes yet but no visible signs of wear and tear or denting. This business will be my first call for our next move.

I recently used Fox & Ginn to deliver and install 7 insulated fire proof files for a customer. The entire process went great from coordinating the project to execution. The moving crew showed up right on time, removed some old files and installed the new ones just as noted on the project plan. Everyone did a great job.

My wife and I are not moving novices. Between us we’ve lived in 11 states, hiring numerous professional moving companies. This one involved a move from a sold house, 14 months of furniture storage, and then a move back to a house in Belfast. Every step of the process— estimate, packing, moving, storage, move again and unpacking— was done in the most friendly yet professional way. The movers themselves were efficient and careful (strong guys who could manage heavy furniture) and they were actually fun to be around in the short 6 hours it took them to finish. Without question, this was our best experience with a moving company. We don’t plan to move again (knock on wood) but if we do I wouldn’t hire anyone other than Fox and Ginn Movers.

Edit: With some delay but with a reasonable explanation the company helped us through our issues with the move in a professional manner. Mistakes happen in any business and what differentiates them is how they deal with them. In this case, considering their guiding policy, they have done everything and beyond with many thanks to the primary manager. Thank you. We packed our boxes and had our furniture disassembled and assembled at the destination. During the packing one of the crew worked for almost on hour on our bed before informing me (I happened to be in the house) that they could not disassemble it because the screws were stripped. It took me less then 20 minutes to drive to Home Depot, get a bit to get the stripped screws out and take the bed apart. During the move in the crew noticed much hardware missing from the furniture (one bed and two book cases). They went back and forth for a while before they decided to just get some lumber and cut it to size to replace the missing bed support. By the time we got to unpacking and setting things up we noticed that 1. The "lumber" they got was not only fit or supportive but simply tossed under the bed frame without actually attaching it. 2. The slats on the bed normally run parallel and are screwed in into existing holes - the crew simply made new holes (see image) in the frame not evening bothering to keep the slats straight and missing to attach them in several places. 3. Our children's bed was "assembled" ... though I found supportive hardware in my children's closet later. 4. The replacement hardware for the bookcases did not fit and was thus useless and we were not able to place the shelves. 5. Our TV, even though we provided the original box for transport, had a 3 inch scratch in the screen. We contacted the company spokes person within two weeks and almost three weeks later we have yet to get a response even. The impressions they left during the move were otherwise good, straight forward and "We will take care of that, Sir" type ... All was accommodating until the bill was paid and then the "services" ended. At this point we can not recommend this company.

We have been going back and forth to Florida for over 20 years. This year, we finally made the decision to make Maine our home. We dreaded all that had to be done to accomplish that task! Fox and Ginn not only made it easy, but also enjoyable. The team was tremendously organized, polite, knowledgeable and helpful. They were expert at packing our fragile belongings. They arrived on schedule, coordinating with our travel plans, then met us at our home in Maine, unloading efficiently, without a single "ding" on anything. Price was fair and the result better than we could ever have imagined. If we were ever to move again, there would be not doubt about calling Fox and Ginn. After a terrible experience with another moving company, I found Fox and Ginn and couldn't be happier! They were fantastic in every way. Josh helped me arrange to have my stuff taken out of my house in Maine and put it in their storage facility while I searched for a new place in Florida and then he arranged the move when I was ready. The guys who took everything out of the Maine house were fantastic. They took special care with fragile items and furniture, and didn't scratch the floor on the way out. Rick and his nephews delivered everything to my new Florida home and they were PERFECT!! When I thought, at first, that I might be missing a small chair, Rick and Frank (back in Maine) jumped right on it and promised to find it. But I had packed it in a box instead of leaving it loose and had forgotten, so mystery solved. No need to look for another moving company - choose these guys if you want a great job. Thanks again, everyone!!!!!! :)

We had a very positive experience in our move from Maine to Rhode Island. The estimate was within 100 lbs. of the actual weight. Packing was done quickly and efficiently. The Estimator brought some used boxes to our home on his way by, which was appreciated. Delivery was on the day and at the hour promised. We were disappointed to find a number of things left in the garage rather than carried to their proper location on the Rhode Island end, which was the only glitch in the whole process, but by and large all went very well. We would use Fox and Ginn again for an interstate or local move.

We have moved often and have had good and not so good experiences. Of course we wanted a company that would be reliable, trustworthy and able to get the job done in the best way possible. Fox & Ginn met our every expectation. First, they provided enough manpower. A super crew! Second, we were pleasantly surprised that the crew was able to fit together our European furniture with little to no instruction. Third, the crew was pleasant, respectful, patient, and efficient. Moreover, several weeks after having returned to pick up our empty boxes, the company called and informed us that my wedding ring set had been found in the bottom of a box by one of the crew. It had slipped off while unpacking. I was reunited with my wedding set and cannot express enough how deeply grateful we are. I highly recommend Fox and Ginn and we would use them again.

My district hired Fox and Ginn to move our entire library collection and all of our furniture before we had our carpets removed. Kevin D. was in charge of the moving crew and he was always very professional, meticulous with details, and amazingly patient with me and my particular needs for this move. He went above and beyond my expectations on every level. He even had suggestions that turned a potentially stressful event into an opportunity to make improvements in this space. When we noticed a piece of furniture was slightly damaged, he came back a couple weeks later and fixed it. I highly recommended any company that employs him.

Brian and Jason arrived on time, actually they were early. They were very courteous and efficient and finished the move in a timely manner . They had two big refrigerators to move through tight doorways in two different homes and did it very well and safely as well all the other furniture they moved. She helped me through the whole process, from the first phone call to the day the movers showed up at my new home. Moving day is hard but Jim, Sam and Tony made the day so much better with their care and knowledge on how to pack and move. I highly recommend this company, you won’t find one better.

We recently used Fox and Ginn Movers for our retail store move. The experience was excellent from start to finish. We moved many heavy pieces of high end custom cabinetry, store furnishings and all our inventory. They were scheduled to send 4 men and one large truck, 2 trucks showed up with 5 men. They started early, finished by mid afternoon and the final price was below the original estimate. Everything arrived in its new location in perfect condition and the men placed everything as directed. I recommend them highly and would definitely use them again.

We have moved around the world , in the US, and Europe so many times and this was one of the least stressful moves for us. The representative of Fox & Ginn (Michael J.) was very professional, helpful and accommodating. The packers/movers were friendly and quick. Their counterpart in the destination country was also excellent. They took care of the paperwork without any problem and then sent our stuff home with another very friendly and helpful team. International moves can be really stressful and complicated and these guys made it so easy. Thank you very much for a great service. I would like to made a brief notice. Make sure to clarify your shipping insurance before you finalize the order. If you don't, you may end up sending your stuff without an insurance.

My wife and I recently moved from Brewer. Maine to the New Hampshire seacoast region. Our house had been on the market for awhile and we thought a mid-winter sale was unlikely. There was a flurry of activity in mid-December with the house selling in late December. Our buyers wanted to close very quickly and move right in. We were ill prepared for a quick move. We spoke to several moving companies and chose Fox and Ginn. Mike Jennings was attentive to all of our needs. He and his crew both in Maine and New Hampshire were professional, engaged and very candid about what we could and should expect. The move went remarkably smoothly. All promises were kept. The move went without a hitch. My wife had some cherished furniture that she worried about. It arrived at our new home in the same condition it was in when it left our former house. All deadlines were kept. On the day of the move the crew swept into our house and loaded the truck with a military precision. Finally, we were given a good value for what we paid . If this review sounds like I am a fan, it should, because I am.

Moved from Maine to Florida and from the very start I was happy with Fox and Ginn. Kim was excellent at keeping me informed and making appropriate changes to our contract. On moving day the gang showed up promptly. Very friendly, professional and careful moving our load. We did pack our own boxes but they did take care of our grandfather clock for us. Billy, the driver kept us updated on where he was and when he would arrive. He was exactly on time. The movers they used in Florida to move us in were also 2 awesome guys. Overall I highly rate Fox and Ginn. We had a horrible experience with Central Maine Movers but dealing with Fox and Ginn was a positive experience.

I enlisted Fox & Ginn Movers for two moves. The initial move was the first time I had hired professional movers vs the DIY method I had done for the past 50+ yrs... beginning in my college days. They wowed me the first time and duplicated that initial experience with my latest move. They are accurate, timely and extremely personable. All employees from sales, dispatch to the personnel who actual do the moving had the same attitude of gaining customer trust and customer satisfaction. The moving crews take great pride in their job and it's reflected in the care they take of their equipment as well as customers belongings. We would strongly recommend Fox and Ginn for any moving need you could possibly have. We began a bathroom project which included a 400 pound claw foot tub. Now we could get it delivered to our address but the shipper wouldn't have it brought in to the home. So before ordering the tub I e-mailed Mike Jennings of our conundrum and I received an e-mail back in the same evening!! He stated and I quote " we would be happy to do that for you." Excellent communication throughout the entire process either by phone or e-mail-we were never ignored. Extremely reasonable price as well as a very helpful, respectful and professional staff. Not only did they bring the tub in from the garage but they waited until the feet were placed on the tub and turned it over and moved it in its place. You couldn't ask for a better company to trust with your moving needs,. Thank you Mike Jennings and staff for making a dream come true!!
