I recently hired Bridgetown Moving & Storage in desperation. I needed to have all my stuff packed up and moved out of my house for my new carpet, and then returned a couple days later. Another company I hired two months in advance, totally messed up my order and left me in panic with 2 days notice. I called Bridgetown. From the moment they picked up the phone, Bridgetown was incredibly friendly and professional. The communication and clear dedication to customer service was outstanding from every member of the team. I'm still blown away by how wonderful they were to work with. I highly, highly recommend Bridgetown Moving & Storage. Outstanding customer service, great detailed communication, and really great crew!

I had a great team moving my home. The guys were really nice, very professional, and fast. The team took great care in moving my items. A different Portland moving company damaged my items and the floor terribly in the past (and used intimidation tactics to try to stop me reporting it) so I was very concerned moving again. The team from Bridgetown completely changed my perspective - there are good moving companies out there! I would absolutely recommend this company and team. I will be using them again in the future if needed.

As I write this, I’m literally in the middle of moving and I want to leave this review. I am 100% certain that we will be a customer for life. Marco and Luis were an amazing team. They were gentle with our belongings, yet efficient to make sure the move was quick and painless. Luis and Marco were super professionals and had the most positive attitude that helped us be positive in a stressful time. Additionally, shout out to Sully who worked to answer all our questions and rearrange the logistics to best fit our needs. Thank you for all the hard work. We are incredibly happy with everything.

Excellent! Al, Jorge, and Chino moved us across the Couve a couple of weeks ago. Couldn’t have been better or smoother. These folks made sure everything was safe and accounted for. Al was thorough with the intro, explanations, pre-check, post-check, and the process. They wasted no time, hustlehustlehustle, they made it worth it! Also, we rescheduled 3 times prior to the day, moving it up/earlier each time. The dispatch person was efficient and accommodating. We have now completely unpacked and there are no complaints, home of 3, 2 dogs, 3 flights stairs at pick up; no lag time, no damages/losses! Recommend!

This was my first time ever using movers and WOW! Al and George did a phenomenal job; it was quick, hassle-free and they were absolutely wonderful and so helpful! They were very resourceful and friendly, fast and careful with all of my things. There were absolutely zero issues. Sully called me promptly after I submitted my quote inquiry, was very helpful and I got an amazing price for the work that was done. With everything going on, Bridgetown definitely made this a stress-free experience. I cannot rave about this place enough.

I generally don’t write reviews but my experience with this company was so exceptional that I feel like I owe it to them to note how phenomenal the experience was! I have never hired professional movers before but will never look back after this experience. The 3 gentleman that were sent out were freakishly efficient, they had my stuff loaded in about 45 minutes and unloaded in I believe 38… mind blowing considering each home came with its own hurdles. They mindful wrapped my furniture to ensure that it wasn’t damaged and wasted no time at all which was amazing with the job being charged hourly, they didn’t lolligag one bit. The team seemed to communicate well together and were respectful and approachable throughout the process. They double checked at each location to make sure that they had met my expectations and there wasn’t anything they missed. Really enjoyed this service and will absolutely be recommending them to everyone I know!

They loaded everything from both my house and storage unit and unloaded it all to my new apartment in a very reasonable amount of time. We just used Bridgetown Moving this week for our cross-town move, and they were absolutely fantastic from the quote to the move. They recommended a team of 4 movers and 2 trucks given our home's size and contents; when it turned out we didn't need the 2nd truck the day of, we weren't charged for it. The crew was on time the morning of, and they worked FAST. We had quite a lot of stuff and moved 30 minutes away, and the entire process start to finish took 3.5 hours. Amazing. They used their own materials to wrap bulkier furniture and asked us where to put things if it wasn't clear from the item/labeling. Would highly recommend Bridgetown Moving if you're moving in the Portland area.

Al's crew was amazing! They went above and beyond to make sure all my things fit in the new place well and everything was exactly how I wanted it. I'm not picky, but I have a LOT of stuff. They made sure everything was just where I wanted it for easy unpacking and re-shelving, including the shelves! I didn't think I'd need 3 guys, but it ended up being less expensive than the last move (last year with a different company) with just 2 guys. Excellent, professional company!

Sully was quick in returning my call, quick to assist with my questions and didn't hesitate to recommend other qualified movers in the area that serviced my destination. Hired them two weekends in a row for the move that never ends. I’m pretty overwhelmed by moves and they were extremely dependable and really nice. The end of the move was really difficult for me, I couldn’t finish packing due to an emergency. They did it for me and we were out of the apartment in time. Really great guys, thank you.

the crew loaded my already (mostly) packed 1600 sq ft house in under 2 hours, including 10+ large bulky pieces of furniture, unloaded in an hour while putting everything right where i needed it. They were professional, quick and respected both my new and old homes while the did their job from boring, the far eastside of the metro to the far west, loaded and unloaded in 4 hours. Well worth the money, if i have the need I will use them again.

Bridgetown movers was available to help me move a full two weeks before any other local company when I had an urgent move to complete on short notice. They moved my things very quickly, took care not to damage anything, and they even included a third person free of charge (I suspect he was in training). Overall a very positive experience. Highly recommend Bridgetown movers. They were professional, efficient and flexible. We had to move a heavy fridge up our narrow stairs and they were more than willing to help us problem solve how to do it, they even had additional employees show up to assist them so it could get accomplished.

Bridgetown Movers is seriously awesome, and the three gentlemen they sent (Homero, Sam, and Jose) were absolute professionals and rockstars! We had a ton of stuff in our 4 bedroom house and they carefully packed up our furniture and managed to fit everything in one truck. I've never seen such hard working, talented movers. I was dreading move day and they made it fantastic. They are affordable and fair and efficient, couldn't ask more!

These guys are amazing!! They didnt ask me to write a review. I want to i am willing to! Because their service was amazing! I had to move from a storage and 2 beds apartment. Moved to new place like 15 mins away. I have lots of stuffs. But guess what? They moved so fast and quickly!! And finished in 2hr 15 mins. Wow!! It was very impressive! Other company told me they need at least 5hours. Roberto, Chino, Lino are great!! And i asked to wear a mask for my toddler and they understood me. It was a great service, and price is great too!

Thank you Michael and team for making this the least stressful part of my move. I needed it with how other things are going. This is the second time I moved in the past 4 months. Unfortunately the first time I did not use Bridgetown Moving because I tried scheduling late and the available date would not work. My fault. After this pleasant experience with Bridgetown Moving I would have definitely used them the first time if I could have waited longer. The experience was night and day. They unwrapped everything and cleaned up after themselves, placed everything as directed, asked questions whenever anything was ambiguous, made sure everything we needed was done before leaving, super efficient, and made sure to carefully move items without damage. I would gladly hire them again and if needed wait for them to be available instead of trying to find another moving company. They’ll get your items from point a to b without stressing about damaged items or damage to your home.

After planning for our moving day with Sully at Bridgetown (who answered all of my confused questions with patience and clarity) the big day was last week. The team arrived exactly on time and with Alfredo as the foreman did our move in less time than I had anticipated. Even given that they were very careful with our goods, re-wrapping and re-taping items when needed, and avoiding any bumps or marks around our newly remodeled home. Nothing broken. Nothing lost. No damage at all. We had a very confusing move from two houses, two storage units into one multi-story home and the guys worked very hard to make sure that our items were in the right rooms - all right on time and on budget (in fact a bit below what I had planned). I strongly recommend Bridgetown Moving & Storage.

I could not be more grateful for Bridgetown Moving. I spoke to Sully who helped me set up a last-minute move after my original moving team cancelled two days before my move date. I have to admit that I’m embarrassed I chose a different company originally because I was blown away with how efficient, helpful and most important - reliable - everyone on the Bridgetown team was. Roberto and Lino moved at a pace I was not anticipating. They were able to take more items than I thought they could in the time allotted which I was grateful for. This saved me time I thought I would spend moving boxes on my own. They broke down and put together my furniture with ease and were familiar with the building I was moving into which also helped as they knew which elevators to use, where the loading dock was, etc. I just don’t have enough words in my vocabulary to explain how much of a dynamic duo they were. I contacted Bridgetown after receiving several quotes for moving from Slabtown to Goose Hollow over Labor Day weekend. The crew (Daniel and Angel) were professional and courteous and I didn't feel overcharged for the work. These two gentlemen were efficient, and packed everything well, along with putting some small items that were unboxed into large wardrobe boxes. The only mishap - they accidentally left a computer monitor in one of the wardrobe boxes, and took it back with them in their truck. Once they realized it, they called immediately and one of their office team, Sully, actually delivered it personally to my new home 3 days later (my choice, I also knew per the voicemail left that if I needed it sooner I could get it). I would most definitely use this moving company again and highly recommend them. Fair pricing, great service, great experience.

Fantastic experience. We booked ahead to get their service and had to move the date a few times and they accommodated every single time with offering of different availability. On the day of the move, the team originally scheduled was running late so the dispatcher kept us informed on status and ended up sending a different crew to our site to ensure we get our move started in the arranged time frame. The move went extremely smoothly and the crew was fantastic. The lead was great at understanding our needs and ensuring it is communicated to the rest of the team as they were packing and moving our furniture. Wonderful, wonderful company to do business with. Got an online quote after a call from Audrey and a quick follow up when we were ready to schedule a date. I have hired movers for the last three local moves I've made, but this was the first with Bridgetown movers. They were excellent communicators from start to finish. I submitted my request for a quote online, and no joke, I had a phone call a minute later. Setting it up was super easy. They confirmed the day before which put my mind at ease. The movers showed up with their own truck, so the benefit of not dealing with a rental in addition to my move was such a weight lifted. The three guys showed up, on time, SUPER professional, introduced themselves and wasted no time in emptying my unit. None of my items were damaged or broken. I can't say the same for the previous companies I worked with. They got the whole thing done in 4 hours, which included a drive from Portland to Hillsboro. They were super respectful of my home, laying down runners in the hallway and insuring furniture and boxes ended up in the right rooms. These guys are absolutely fabulous and I would not hesitate to use them again, or suggest them to anyone looking for a mover.

Hired them for my move this week. They did an amazing job at a really reasonable price. There were no hidden fees, and they made it easy to book and set everything up. Two young men came on time and were very professional. They even managed to hoist my sofa up over the balcony because it wouldn't fit up the stairs. I definitely tipped them for that. My move included two apartments moving into a single apartment, and involved MANY flights of stairs and challenging parking. Was extremely impressed with our movers. They moved us out of our 2 bedroom apartment (all things packed except half the kitchen) into our 3,000sqft home in 4 hours! Setting the appointment and making a few changes there to was quick and easy, and the customer service rep's over the phone were kind, personable and more than accommodating with all my questions and requests. No small task seeing as w had allot of furniture and around 20 boxes between the two of us. Not one glass, or anything else for that matter, broken! I just want to say that we have used Bridgetown Movers three times in the past six years when moving. The last time was about three weeks ago. We use this company ongoing because they are hard working and professional. However, this time they broke one of my crystals and damaged the door way when moving from out from our old home. What made me upset was that we were in communication with the company about the damage and they stoped responding to us. They also had a small truck that we had to spend double the amount to do an extra load. The guys who helped us were great and went above and beyond but should have been up front about the damage and the company should have contacted us back. I wanted to say good things about them too. Ask them for additional help and they will above and beyond. They have a good positive attitude and they just want to help. Good company that we love but this time was different.

One of the easiest moves I've ever had. Daniel and his team showed up on time and worked quickly to move me from downtown Portland to the West Hills. Their pace never slowed down, they were quick to adapt to any changes or needs, and they were very careful with my possessions. Their hourly rate is one the least expensive I found, but the quality of service was top notch. I would use them again for any future moves.

We are a business which occasionally requires moving of heavy equipment and desks locally around Portland/Beaverton/West Linn/Lake Oswego as we redesign our offices. 5 years ago, we hired Bridgetown movers and they were so professional and prompt that their service stuck in my mind when I had another moving job. Arranging the dates and locations (there were multiple stops) was professional and organized. The movers where polite, careful and put things exactly where we wanted them (and did not even seem to sigh we changed our mind on an item after it was moved). The staff watched in awe as they moved some amazingly bulky items with smooth teamwork and ease. Costs and time calculations were very reasonable for the work received. We will definitely use Bridgetown again for all of our moving needs and recommend them highly to anyone who is looking for excellent movers. 5 stars!

USE THIS COMPANY. I have never hired a moving company before, but due to a recent illness leaving me incapable of lifting very much, I had no other choice. And you know what? I will never go back! I did a lot of research and found that Bridgetown Moving & Storage had the best value and got the best reviews. My movers, John and Oliver, were careful, speedy and friendly. Even with parking constraints, narrow entries, and loooong hallways, (not to mention myself getting in their way) they were clearly pros and made my moving experience a breeze! They even provided a generous welcome home package. I am moving again in a couple of months and there is no doubt in my mind that I will be calling Bridgetown. Thank you guys!

We moved on November 3. The team at Bridgetown Moving & Storage was awesome. Beginning with Meghan in the office. She returned my call right away, and, as promised called the day before the move to confirm. She was really great about going over the contract and was just plain great to work with. Al, Daniel and Tony showed up on the day of the move, on time, and ready to get to work. They were all extremely courteous, and had us moved in no time. It was so nice to have a move done under my projected cost. Absolutely nothing was damaged in the process. They were great about moving things around for me so that I would not have to worry about this later. I would call this a very pleasant experience, despite the fact that moving is not on my list of fun things to do. The cost was also as good, if not better, than the other movers I looked at on-line. This was a great choice for movers. I did not have to wait weeks for an appointment to move. Marco and Anthony were right on time. They were young and strong and moved things quickly but carefully. They were careful with my things and treated them like their own. After moving my stuff in they asked if I needed help putting anything together such as the bed, which was a great help. Bridgetown was recommended to me by my neighbor. They were competitively priced and had no extra fees, like a fee for stairs or driving to/from the warehouse. When they tell you that you will need 3 people for your move and you argue that two will be fine, please know that you are wrong. I spent less money having 3 movers and the work was done much fast. Pregaming the move helped with getting them in and out, but they moved my 1900 sqft home, drove to the new house and unloaded everything exactly where we wanted it in only 4 hours! Marco and his team were exceptional and they protected everything so well. They laid down floor protectors and blanket wrapped anything that could get bumped and bruised. I absolutely recommend Bridgetown Moving!

I'm so thankful for the team at Bridgetown. Specifically Sully in the office and Roberto and his team on site. You see, I threw my back out (bulged disc) the week prior to the move and lost my ability to sell some household items. Overall very satisfied and I would use them again. Used them for a long distance move. -Move coordination. There were some hiccups here which knocks a star off the review. The unloaders ended up cancelling their original appointment and coming the day after my trailer arrived at the destination so I had to wait a day in an empty apartment. Also, Estes, the trailer company will give you a 4 hour delivery window and then proceed to show up 2 hours after the delivery period. -Value is great. They were similar in cost to a large national company with the added bonus of getting my stuff there in a 2 day window instead of the absurd 2 week window the national chains quote! -Opted for full packing and these guys almost went overboard with the amount of packing paper, shrink wrap, and furniture blankets they used to pad everything. No way anything was breaking. -Customer service. Very easy to talk to someone by phone or email.

Life Savers! Scheduled a two-man crew to move our furniture and belongings from our 2-bedroom apartment in Cedar Hills to SE Portland and they were great. Very fast and professional! I put some smaller boxes aside to move ourselves since I didn't know if they would have time but they were able to take everything and were still done in 2 hours and 15 minutes (drive included). Literally the most amazing experience I've ever had moving. Honestly, I'd never used movers before because I'd always heard horror stories: 1. It'll take FOREVER and cost a TON! 2. The movers will do the bare minimum 3. The movers will leave everything in the garage and you have to move it to the right rooms 4. They will charge you for drive-time to and from your house 5. Lots of hidden fees 6. The movers will have bad attitudes, be inconsiderate, they'll make you think they'd rather be anywhere else but there. But the experience with Anthony, Johnny, and Mike was simply INCREDIBLE. They showed up right on time, and got RIGHT to work. They had my entire downstairs wrapped and loaded in the truck within one hour! It took another hour for the upstairs, including wrapping all the cabinetry and furniture. They were humble and kind, always requesting first when they had to use the restroom. They never grumbled or had any pushback on ANY of the items needing moved. They were SO fast with everything, it was simply unbelievable! I thought it was going to take 4 hours or so to load the truck, but it was done in a shade under 2 hours. Amazing! Then at the new house, they asked lots of questions, making sure everything went into the right room. They quickly reassembled the beds, placed every item in the correct rooms (it's a 5-bedroom house, so there are literally lots of options). Plus, I'd initially asked them to place a VERY heavy armoire in one room, but it just didn't look right to me, so I sheepishly asked if they could move it to another room. "No problem!!", and they jumped into action and moved it into another room. Amazing! They took several boxes at a time up the stairs, never letting down on the speed or efficiency. A very well-oiled machine! We had to take a second trip to finish up the garage, which was fine. Not everything had been fully packed in the garage (it's hard to pack snow-tires, box fans, picnic coolers, etc), so I figured I'd just need to handle that on my own, but they were like, "no problem, let's get it all!" and they worked with me in the garage to get everything into the moving van and on the way. Again, Anthony, Johnny, and Mike were true rock stars and made the experience absolutely amazing! I can't recommend Bridgetown any higher. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. Thank you!!

I'm also a helicopter packer (worried about scratches, if it will fit, etc.) and they really made me feel like they cared about my stuff and they fit it in better than I imagined it would fit. The Bridgetown people were extremely professional from the very beginning to the end of the moving process. Moving is usually a time when nothing seems to go "right" but that was not our experience. One facet of our move stands out. We were given a time window during which the movers would arrive and begin their work. As we approached the end of the window we received a call informing us that our crew had been delayed at an earlier job and that a backup crew would be at our home to assure that our move would be completed on time. And it was! In fact the work was completed early. The crew was friendly, efficient, careful and thorough. Based on the recommendation from the moving consultant, I hired a team of four to move my household across town. The team arrived right on time, got to work quickly. It took about 3 1/2 hours to pack and load from my old house and about 1 1/2 hours to unload at my new house. The part of the job I was most impressed with was how they handled all of the glass-front cabinets: bubble wrap, then a piece of cardboard, both shrink-wrapped to the cabinet and finally a moving pad to protect the wood. Not a scratch on any of the items. Nothing scratched, cracked or broken from the kitchen pack up either. I'd recommend and hire them again!

Alfredo, Wilke and Antonio did an amazing job last week during our move from Portland to Sherwood. Our first stop was a furniture store to load some large objects and then they got down to business at our old condo. Unfortunately there were a lot of stairs at the move-out, but I didn't hear a single complaint and they moved incredibly fast to get things wrapped up and packed in the truck. Alfredo was organized with the truck and fit in as much as possible, only leaving smaller objects that I could take in my car on a second trip. Hiring movers by the hour was a bit scary. I didn't know what "pace" of work to expect. But that fear was quickly put to bed. From the time our crew arrived, they were blur. Each time they loaded something on the truck, they literally were running back into our apartment to get the next thing. At the same time, they were very gentle with our stuff. From wrapping what needed wrapping to negotiating tight corners, it couldn't have gone any better. These guys were pros! Moving is never fun and I hope I won't be doing it again any time soon. While the guys were extremely nice I felt like they were taking their time moving us. We had everything wrapped and boxed and completely ready to go before they arrived. In thier paperwork it states we start getting charged once loading begins. Well after speaking with someone about our charges that’s not technically correct. We get charged the moment they arrive. So we got charged for them to arrive, come in to see what they are moving, go back out to their truck and grab their moving supplies (which took about 20 minutes). It’s $100 for 30 minutes... so I paid 20 minutes for nothing I feel. And then the drive to where our items were being dropped off at is a 10 minute drive and it took them 30. So I got charged $200 for them to get their items to together and for them to drive. So again, while the guys were VERY kind and very good and organizing my storage unit... I’m a little bummed as I just spent $850 (that includes a tip) on movers when I could have done it myself in the same amount of time for a heck of a lot less money.

These guys are really good. They aren't the cheapest, but they are punctual, courteous, fast, thorough, and very careful movers. To move a 3 bedroom 1500 sqft house about 15 miles it was just over 1k, which included two trucks and four guys for 5 1/2 hours, and included an upright piano at a second location. We could have saved some money and taken a risk with different movers, but it's really not worth it when it's your stuff being moved. There's a reason why these guys don't have a negative review.

Bridgetown wasn't the cheapest place that I got estimates from, but they were very good and efficient at the move. They also charged from the time that they arrived at my apartment and not from when they left their office, so that helped mitigate some of the difference in price. I had a short move (about 6 miles) where they came in and dealt with my furniture and a few boxes that would not fit or were too large for me to deal with. They came in, got to work and had all my stuff out of my apartment and back in my new house within the two-hour minimum (again it was mostly furniture from a small two-bedroom apartment). They didn't try to jerk me around with added charges or up-sell me with stuff I didn't need. Overall, if I am moving in the Portland area, I would use them again.

My gentleman and myself were looking for a local moving company. Our last move we hired a team of movers through the rental truck company and it was less than stellar. I put a couple of calls in to local places. One obviously employed an out of state call center to return calls as we were awoken at 6:30am the first time and they called back at 7am the next time. I ask the lady on the other end where they were located and she told me in Texas. I let her know we could not utilize a company whose contractors could not be considerate of time zones differences. The representative from Bridgetown on the other hand was actually an employee of the company. We received a nice voicemail message and when I called back to inquire about the service I decided they would be the company to move us. It was an awesome choice. The week before the move I called as I felt I may have left out information about the quantity of items and wanted to confirm the truck size. All my questions were answered and we confirmed the date and time during that call. On the morning of the move Edgar called to give us a time of arrival which I found to be extremely helpful. Hilario and Edgar were extraordinarily professional. They let us know of existing damage to our things as they were moving them. They skillfully selected each item and expeditiously exported them to their truck where they achieved master level of moving tetris. A superior, Edward, came onsite to see how they were doing and it reinforces the fact this company cares how they conduct their business. I would highly recommend their services. It was both an economical and an extraordinary service experience.

Several of our super heavy items wouldn't fit in the tiny elevator in our building and the guys had to carry them down four flights of stairs. We did not hear ONE complaint from them. Hello Conner, sorry about getting back so much later then your review request. I have been cought up in a program that has taken up much of my spare time, as-well putting things away in my new place. The guy were great, they let me know the time they would be arriving, quickly went to work. They took care as to not damage anything, pointed things out that they were concerned about i.e. existing damage, they rapped they thought wound need protection,and were quick to getting things done. Unloading they put things where I asked, as-well taking care not to damage anything. Again they were quick and friendly, which made the move a nice experience. Coo does to them, thanks. The two employees who came out to help me move worked hard and knew what they were doing. They were well-prepared with equipment and packing material. I particularly appreciated the big boxes with the metal closet bars that made moving clothes on hangers so much easier/safer. They dealt with me fairly, and there weren't any hidden fees or sneaky things like that. The only things that kept it from being five stars is that there was a little rough handing of a couple things, and a company policy of not transporting any fluids that I didn't hear about until moving day, which was awkward and a bit stressful. Thank goodness I had room in the back of my car for the coolers with things from the fridge, drinks, and a certain amount of laundry/bathroom products. Otherwise I'm not sure what I would have done with that stuff, and I would have been pretty upset if I'd had to leave it behind. While the free coffee and mugs was a nice gesture, most people don't need any more mugs—they've probably just given away a bunch to Goodwill before moving and aren't eager to be stuck with more in their new place. So I'd recommend the company just doing the coffee, which is high quality and nice enough.
