Craig, Elijah and Karon were our movers. They were awesome! They were very attentive and professional. They made this move a pleasant experience. We faced some obstacles with this move, but they were very flexible and did what needed to be done to make the move go smoothly. I would highly recommend College Hunks for your next move. You won't be disappointed. I will definitely use them again if the situation arises.

I had researched local companies that could remove furniture and junk from my garage and storage room. College hunks was the easiest to navigate in terms of their website. When I called I was promptly put in touch with a live customer service agent and was able to book the gentlemen to come out to my house that afternoon. They were running a bit behind but did show up and had all of the items removed within 45 minutes. I was truly amazed that they were able to fit everything and did it with care and consideration for my property. They were friendly, professional, respectful, it was truly a pleasure to work with them to get the job done. I would highly recommend anyone who has considered getting rid of or donating old furniture and stuff they have hanging around the house. I feel like the weight of the world is off my shoulders now!

We had a very positive experience with College Hunks from beginning to end! When we were just shopping around to get an idea of how much to budget for our move, they were very understanding and did not pressure us into making any decisions. We were so pleased with their encouraging, but not pressuring, business practice that we decided to book them. The day of the move went incredibly well. The three guys that handled our move were very polite, professional, and crazy efficient!! They were also great when it came to helping us be sure our cat was safely contained in one room during the move. Craig, Karon, and Eddy were a pleasure to work with. We don't plan on moving again for a few years, but we will definitely be using College Hunks again in the future and recommending their services to our family and friends in the meantime.

Before move: Booking the appointment went very smoothly. Responsive to many of my questions in preparation for the move; however, took some time for a manager to reach out to confirm appointment details but eventually did on day prior. All questions and details were finalized. During move: College Hunks workers were a little late, only due to traffic. All expectations and signatures were provided for the break-down of cost & other expenses, as stated and already made aware of during booking process prior. However, workers were extremely efficient, came well equipped and prepared with all needed/or requested supplies, did a thorough job from start to finish of the move, and were both professional and responsive/friendly. Only two very small items were broken/damaged during move, but was a complete accident when unloading from the truck. After move: Clear report of final bill/expense write-up. All details confirmed and accurate. Workers worked extremely hard, and did a wonderful job. Payment and generous tip provided, as time estimate allotted went way over expected quoted time for duration of the entire move. Overall, I would definitely recommend this moving company to everyone and I would certainly chose to use College Hunks again for any future moves! Thank you!!

Not only were they super personable and helped keep our spirits up during a stressful move on a rainy day, but they worked so efficiently that we actually saved time! The took the time to wrap and package all of our furniture and items with care. The truck was so well organized it made their unloading process super quick. WOW! College Hunks is a GREAT find! I was faced with cleaning out my Dad’s condo near West Chester, PA. After researching reviews online, I chose College Hunks. They provide moving, junk removal and have a donation option. I made an appointment online and from then on, they handled everything. Keith and his partner were FABULOUS! So professional, yet so friendly. They couldn’t do enough for me. They are extremely careful of the walls and wood floors when moving furniture out and just did a fantastic job. Keith called me a few minutes before he arrived and he explained everything about pricing, donation, etc. I have to say, I could not be happier with the service I received from College Hunks and especially Keith and his partner. I’ll soon be doing fall cleaning in my condo and have things to donate. I’ll be using College Hunks again, and requesting Keith and his partner do the work. The pricing was SO fair, they were on time, they were very professional, excellent work done! What more could one ask for! I am really impressed!

I hired College Hunks Moving to handle my move from a place I sold to a storage facility. The experience was fantastic. From the initial estimate- where their representative was very flexible in working with me. We were able to do a "walkthrough" of the home via video which was very convenient because I was away at the time and could not be there in person to get an estimate. The final price was very close to the estimate I received. Moving day itself was great. The crew of two (Craig and Elijah) unfortunately got there a tiny bit late but it was due very honest mistake and they were incredibly apologetic. Mistakes happen. That said. they made up for the time and they were still done within minutes of the overall estimated timeframe. Craig and Elijah were very cool and really listened to any instructions I had on any of my stuff being moved. Between the two of them they busted out the move and did a great job with it. I would highly recommend this company and specifically Craig and Elijah if they are available.

This was the second time that I hired CHHJ and the first time for a moving job. I tried to warn them ahead of time that my sister and I had a LOT of things to move from our 2BR apartment to our new 3BR home. I used to be able to do this kind of work before my bulging disc, and I did manage 90% of the packing--too heavily, according to the Hunks. Nevertheless, they came in with a great attitude and picked up the slack for me, wrapping, binding, and disassembling the things that I could not. They got the job done, with only one major casualty (wardrobe leg). I still give them 5 stars, and I would still hire them again, if I had to. Worth every penny!

This company is amazing!!!! Had a nightmare experience with Equator advanced appliances (another appliance company - stay away!) when trying to get a washer replaced, and they would only deliver a replacement curbside when I told them I had no help to get it upstairs. College Hunks came out the same day I called (the day before Christmas Eve), took out my old broken washing machine and brought my new one up from the curb. They even fit it into my tight little kitchen closet where I needed it. Shoutout to Demetrice and Lukah, they were amazing!! At first we were a little doubtful but the two men who moved our storage unit into our moving van were EXCELLENT packers (at least, one of them was a great packer and the other followed his directions). When we told them that we would be driving for 16 hours, he said "I'm gonna pack this so nothing moves" and he was absolutely right. The real testament to this was when our moving truck broke down and had to be towed to a hotel (from the front end) and we were afraid everything would fall and/or break our bikes that were in the very back...but nothing moved!

I used the service for a toilet removal. The guys who showed up were incredibly efficient, friendly, and professional. HOWEVER, BEWARE OF HIDDEN FEES. I was quoted $160 for the toilet to be removed but when they showed up, they informed me there was an additional $100 charge for heavy items. Make sure to ask about that when getting your quote.

I never post reviews, however after the experience that I had, I found that it was absolutely essential that I provide my support for an excellent company with top of the line employees. Craig and his team arrived early and were extremely hard working and very efficient. This move was weighing on me given the stress associated with moving. However, Craig made this time of stress much more manageable. Craig was kind, calming, personable and overall an true professional through and through. As a result of my experience with Craig and his team college hunks will be the only moving company I will call from here on out. I had a great experience working with the guys to pick up my 1 bedroom in Iing of Prussia and move me to Center City. Scheduling was easy and friendly over the phone and payment took place after I was officially moved in. I even had an extra guy or hunk to help haul my belongings. A three-piece sofa sectional, a power rack and weight bench, and a queen size mattress are just among the largest things they helped me move. Really nice, respectful and efficient men. Appreciate their help. Apartment seemed smaller than expected but once I unpacked everything it actually was need up working out nicely (was worried for a moment).

We had a crazy morning of wild and weird happenings - none under their control but Jonathan, Tyrese and the other gentleman were flipping amazing! Professional, careful, communicative, efficient, took great care of our belongings. They wrapped everything in blankets and plastic. Moved a 1Bd apartment from South Philly to University City. While the 3-man crew was delayed at their prior job, they kept me informed about their progress, so even though we started a bit late, it was not an issue. They moved all boxes and furniture quickly, efficiently, but with care. Whole process was done in exactly 2 hours. My only complaint is that there's a 3 hour minimum, but that is a company policy, not the fault of the three fellas who did the job. All in all, a very good, stress-free experience. I would recommend, but more so if your moving job is gonna take the 3-hour minimum, otherwise you might find yourself without the best value.

Moving with CHHJ was a fantastic experience. The company was communicative upfront, and provided timely reminders and confirmations. Both the junk removal crew and moving crew were punctual and efficient. The junk crew was in and out very quickly for removal of my old bed frame, mattress, box spring, and head board. Then, the moving crew (Matt, Charles, and Wayne) were stellar. They were extremely professional and got everything moved without an issue, despite small elevators and a bit of a walk to the truck at my old apartment. Once we got everything to the destination, they worked quickly to keep us as close to the original estimate as possible, and they followed my directions to leave every item and box in the room where it belonged. These little young men were professional and hard working. Tiny little boys. I gave them a wheelbarrow and a shovel and ask them to remove some cement slabs from some exterior step replacement and to move the excess dirt to the side of the house. They thugged it out in under half hour.

Contacted College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving for a short-notice local move. From intake to finish, their customer service was superb. There was communication regarding the move, what to expect, and a 2-hour time window for arrival of the moving team. I received a call a bout 30 minutes before they arrived. Idaes, Sherman and Nick were careful with my furniture (and one piece in particular was very heavy), communicated well between themselves as a team and with me as the customer. The "hunks" wrapped furniture in cellophane and when appropriate, blankets. The team made it to the new location quickly, everything was unloaded in a timely manner. The team even asked me where I wanted the items and when I changed my mind, they helped me move it to the other side of the room. Excellent customer service! This is the second time I have used College Hunks for moving and I would highly recommend them.

We were a bit nervous about a very big and fragile TV, as well as a piano, but they brought everything needed like covers and padding to make sure everything was safely moved. They were also very communicative, letting us know where they were at every step of the way so it was as smooth and painless as possible. Moving is so stressful but they took a huge part of that stress off of my plate for me and I'm eternally grateful for it. The pricing is on the higher end for junk removal, but the service was worth it to me. They were flexible, kind, and professional. Had a great experience with the crew that arrived to run our move today: Craig, Rich, John, Sonny & Zaihir (might've spelled some names wrong) were an awesome group, and our move was no easy job. We moved from a 2nd floor, two story apartment, so there were a TON of stairs involved and having lived there for 7 years means we had a LOT of stuff to haul. We were quoted for nearly 7 hours & they wrapped up in about 5. We prepped really well for their arrival so that def helped... but still, they did the job 2 hours faster than we expected!! We had an absolutely wonderful experience with College Hunks today. They moved all the furniture we had in our room, (old-school furniture - not light at all) and took it to my mom’s about 30 miles away. From the initial call when they gave me the quote everything was smooth sailing. When the Hunks arrived (3 of them), I had already spoken to the crew’s leader, Ryan, they knew exactly what was the job and there were no surprises. Ryan and the other hunks worked non-stop for about 6 hours... I don’t even think they took a lunch break. They wrapped our furniture professionally and it arrived to its destination without any issues. My husband and my mom told me they looked tired but, they never complained and just kept working until all the furniture was properly placed at my mom’s. We could not be happier with the work they did. The price was absolutely reasonable. I won’t think twice next time I need movers, College Hunks are just the absolute right choice. Thank you all!

Original post: I booked for a junk removal on the phone with an agent for a removal of my bed 2 weeks before the day I needed my bed to be removed and no one showed up the day of. I called to a few hours before to confirm that the movers were still coming and customer service assured me that the movers were confirmed. I had scheduled the movers for 3-5 pm est and no one got back to me. I called again and customer service said I was not put in the local data space but someone would reach to me shortly. No one has, it is now 7:30 pm est. I have been on hold for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

I can't say enough good things about College Hunks Moving. Four years later, I chose this organization again. Anthony, Melvin and Kyle did my move in 4 hours. Personable and professional. Definitely my go-to for moving. Excellent rates and no hidden charges. The two Hunks who showed up to help me move, Edward and Jahlal, were both professional and personable. Their communication was fantastic, as they kept in touch, letting me know they were on their way. They came in and reviewed the boxes and furniture, and formulated a plan of action. All of my stuff easily fit inside the truck. And the loading of the truck went faster than I expected. I had two pieces of furniture with glass-fronted doors, and they expertly wrapped and protected them, so they arrived in great condition. Moving is stressful. But it was clear from the start that the Hunks knew what they were doing, allowing me to trust them, thereby relieving some of the stress. All in all, a wonderful experience. I would definitely use College Hunks Moving again, and will definitely be recommending the company to friends and family.I also want to add that when I sent out e-mails to various moving companies requesting price estimates, College Hunks Moving was the first to contact me. I guess the early bird does get the worm.

I've called other junk removals, but either they couldn't work with my schedule, or they didn't show up. I gave 4 stars because, although I was given a two hour time slot, I had no approximate time. I had a full-house clean up and junk removal service, and I am really impressed by this company's amazing customer service and professionalism. I would recommend that if you have a large move-out, schedule it for early morning so they don't have to empty the truck before arrival. We ran into this issue with a 2-4pm scheduled time and had to push it back. This was not a huge deal for us, but could be for you if you're on a tight schedule! That being said, the staff was extremely responsive and flexible when the change was needed. The job ended up being less expensive than I predicted and everyone was really great. I can't thank these guys enough and I would recommend them to anyone.

The older I get, the less patience I have with moving and all of the fun little stresses that come with it. More specifically, relying on friends and family to help you who often don’t show with no call or no apology. (And no replacement). This time around, my boyfriend and I decided we have earned the right to splurge and pay for movers, we both hard working, responsible people and we always splurge on those we love but this seemed like the perfect time to take the opportunity to spend on ourselves. We had no idea where to start so we figured we would go local and look for the least expensive since this was our first time. A little nervous that you sometimes sacrifice quality for cheaper prices, I must say this entire adventure of using movers was a pleasant surprise. Selecting “College Hunks”, I was a bit worried about the appearance of that phrase on the moving truck as it pulled up to cart our belongings to our new residence. But, they were the most cost effective and were local, and the reviews were great so why not!!? Who cared if the stereo typical movers of the name same showed up- at least we didn’t have to lift all of those boxes and furniture. The experience with College Hunks was nothing but 109% excellent from start to finish. I received phone calls to alert me they were actually ahead of schedule and asked if they could start a little early. Early? This was new to us for movers. But then again, we were used to the rag tag selection of friends and family you have to bribe with booze and pizza and attach a reminder of all of the moves you helped them through. Guilt- the real live currency. Lol The two movers introduced themselves, explained the process and procedure, updated me on all costs and time allowances and mainstreamed Covid-19 prevention protocol the entire time. They were polite, engaging, friendly and most importantly, time efficient. They completed the task in the time they stated with some to spare. They went above and beyond, taking excellent care with our belongings and furniture like it was their own. The price was so affordable and the service was top notch. We have nothing but great things to say about the two gentlemen who moved us and helped us to begin this new chapter of our lives in stress free and we could not be more grateful for them. We will definitely use them for any and all moves we may have in the future (hopefully not many) and recommend them to anyone who needs great service, easy scheduling, good communication and friendly interaction. 100 stars if you have them to give because this was a great first experience using professional movers. My husband just had emergency back surgery and I just delivered our baby girl, so we were really counting on these guys for a stress-free move. Michael, our estimator, was polite and knowledgeable. And thank GOODNESS for our movers, Aaron, Harry, and Trey. They were so hardworking, respectful, kind, clean, and really cared about our home and belongings. The issue we had was with whoever managed the schedule because they sent us a truck that was too small, costing us time (the guys had to do three trips instead of one like we were promised!!) and therefore money, and then never called me back when I left them voicemails about how disappointed I was. I recommend this group strictly because of Michael, Harry, Aaron, Trey, and also Raphael and Tiger who helped us pack. But be warned - if you schedule services you should call the morning of to make sure you’re getting what you were promised!!! And make sure you request those guys.

We had just had our hardwood floors refinished and walls painted and wanted to make sure that neither was damage during moving the furniture back into the redone rooms. Nick, Brian T and Maurice - took their time - were care on each piece of furniture moved. We had some especially big pieces that they even took extra time and laid down sheets under so as not to scratch floor when moving and repositioning. In addition they were extremely nice young men who were very respectful of our house and me and my wife. Although maybe a little pricey - the service we got was excellent.

All employees were professional, thoughtful and kind. The workers that came to my home were beyond polite and respectful. My only issue is the cost, but I don't have much to go off of. I will contact them again if/when needed.

We moved an apartment filled with heavy materials into a house with a baby. This is a no-brainer. I don't have the body these guys do nor the expertise to move furniture efficiently. This is worth every penny if only to not have a sore body and to not have to wrangle friends to help you move during a pandemic. The guys were fast, friendly, and took care of all of our possessions. They finished earlier than expected and were very considerate in placing our boxes in the requested rooms. Literally could not have moved without them.

It was raining the day they picked up my goods for donations and I worried that the items would get ruined in the open top truck; however, they are true professionals! They covered the bed of the truck and then after loading it, they ensured everything was properly covered and protected from the weather! Great overall experience from initial interaction on phone (they called on a Sunday in response to an email sent 10 minutes earlier via their web site!). Movers coordinated with me closely by phone during the two pick-ups before arriving at my home with wooden cabinets and a washer and dryer. Took great care of cabinets, wrapping them top to bottom in bubble wrap, made sure our pets were secure before moving in and out of the house, moved furniture back in place, and moved some additional items for me when they finished job before hourly minimum was up. I needed help getting a moving truck loaded with less than a week's notice, but when I called in, you folks had an opening, no problem. And even though the items included an upright piano, the two man team of Paul and Alex made it happen. They did a lot of creative thinking on their feet to get the piano out the door and into the truck, and got it secured among the other items in the load so it would be safe for the journey. They were also very sympathetic to the reason we needed a sudden move, and very friendly to the family dog after the job was done and the animal was allowed out of the kitchen we kept him to keep him out from under foot during the load out. I was happy there was an option to tip them generously built into the process because they certainly earned it with their efficient and friendly service.

John, a/the manager (?), was wonderful. He communicated with me clearly and as needed. There was a big problem on the day of my scheduled move, as there was a miscommunication or something with the team leader on my move. However, I don't know between whom that occurred. There was an issue with the mover, so it could have been him. Due to this issue, I had rented a U-Haul truck for $65 that I did not need to, and amount was not removed from my total bill, which I believe it should have been. John was extremely apologetic and came out to my home personally, ready to handle any issues that arose or concerns with my landlord re: the delayed move.The men who moved me worked very hard, and my job took 6 hours, which is around 3x what I had hoped, though I tend to underestimate the amount of things I own. They were great...patient, friendly, helpful, good-humored, and never complained or shown irritation, even though the job was grueling.There was a lot of communication from the company during the week of my move to confirm details and ask questions. It was a little much, but I'm sure necessary at the same time. The drivers were on time and called when on their way, which I appreciated.Overall, extremely pleased with the service. I wish there had not been the glitch in communication. Since I don't know between whom that occurred, I have to give a 9, but I would still highly recommend this company.

Lavar and Phil did an exceptional job moving my couch out of a very old, small apartment complex with no elevator available. After some trial and error, the duo successfully navigated the couch out into the open sunshine. They were extremely friendly and cooperative, and were excellent workers. We moved my elderly mother's 1-bedroom apartment from Wallingford, PA to West Chester, PA. The two movers from College Hunks, Brandon and Ethan, were very professional, personable and energetic, and did a wonderful job! They were working intensely every minute during both pickup and delivery. They carefully wrapped all the furniture in plastic wrap to protect them, and successfully moved some more fragile glass tabletops. They did experience some delays related to the use of elevators, but really seemed to manage the process as best they could. Our move ended up taking 4 hours, which was 1 hour over the minimum of 3 hours, but definitely less than the initial estimate that they gave us. We would use those guys again in a heartbeat! :-) :-) Thanks again to Brandon & Ethan for a great job!

Our Hunks were amazing. These 4 dudes broke their backs for us on an unseasonably HOT Spring day! Our Hunks were Mylek Durnell, Miles Baker, Zhion Wesley and Chris B. Mylek was an excellent team leader and Miles and Zhion never stopped. Chris B. helped to get the team started and supported them thoroughly on their last load/unload after having worked another full day elsewhere. I don’t know what these guys get paid but they deserve a raise. They were a pleasure and joy to be around on what could’ve been a really stressful day. Also, they had to drive their huge truck in and around South Philly where parking is legitimately impossible and they managed that truck like it was a Smart Car. Four 'hunks' came to move us April 1 morning. Chris, Allen, Craig and Raheim were courteous, fast and very strong! They moved us in 2 hours less than the projected quote, and our items arrived safely. Both homes involved had 4 flights of steps to contend with, but that didn't slow them down. Joe M and Liam did a great job! I was surprised by how quickly they packed up my apartment and moved me into my new home. The price was more than fair and they did not try to tack on extra time or fees. My only issue was with Brittany, one of the office staff members, NOT the movers. She was very rude when she called to give me an update (that I had to reach out for and request). She asked me if I “absolutely have to move out today” and sighed repeatedly explaining that the movers were really backed up today. She tried to get me to have the movers pick up my belongings and have them deliver it the next day. I only moved an hour away! I had scheduled in advance for a second delivery location the same day and she sighed saying the second stop was “really far.” (It is a little over 30 minutes away.) She was the only person I had a bad experience with during the entire process. The movers showed up with their manager to speed up the process and didn’t once let me feel as if I was inconveniencing them. 5 stars for them!

I reserved 3 movers, and when only two showed up I knew it was going to be a long day for Jerry and Ryan. College Hunks were a mixed bag - the movers themselves were on time and very friendly. They helped us sort a few difficult-to-box items and quickly load the truck. They did end up dropping a box while stacking three at a time to carry, which seemed unnecessary. We were discounted a part of the fee (around $40 out of the $430+ they charged for the service) and told the items within would be replaced, but this never happened. We were ultimately told it was because we didn’t pay them to pack for us. I would understand that if the items had broken in the course of normal moving but it is really unreasonable given that the box was dropped several feet because of their recklessness. I’d only recommend using them if you can’t find someone else to move you.

Tyler S., Kelvin, and Saybrin were great! They arrived with smiling faces and great attitudes. My supposed simple removal of a 2 piece sectional was not so simple and the guys were so great about it. They literally had to hold a heavy piece of furniture upright for close to 10 minutes on steps while taking turns unscrewing the feet off to get it out the door with no damage to the walls. After the job was done they insisted on vacuuming up the mess the sectional left behind. I haven't stopped talking about the great service!

The pricing made so much sense! I was able to have a quote (which was met, in fact I ended up paying less than I was quoted) simply by saying how many rooms I had to move. (Other companies wanted me to tabulate exactly how many boxes I was moving months before I actually finished packing...who knows that so far out?!)Those in the office for scheduling were friendly, patient, and very helpful. I thought I had an issue the day of the move and they were patient with me and worked it all out (I didn't really have an issue in the end). We were moving into a 6th floor walk up, one-bedroom apartment with a bed, couch and heavy boxes. We reserved two guys for the two hour minimum. We got three (Cass, Lateef, & John Bags) for the same price. Apparently, they had not been informed that it was a walk-up before arriving, but they took it in stride. They emptied our entire U-haul within 30 minutes and were friendly, professional and careful with our items. Highly, highly recommend and hope you get this crew!

Andrew, Chris, and Justin worked extremely hard to get my move done in just three hours. They hardly took a break, even for a drink of water. I requested that they get as much done as they could in three hours and they ended up getting all of the furniture out of my 2nd floor apartment (no elevator) and into my new house in time. They made it look easy hauling couches, dressers, beds, and tables on their backs/shoulders as they brought them into my 3 story townhome. Another great thing about the service was that they even had time to put 2 bed frames together, attach headboards, and move furniture around in the rooms to where I wanted it. Unreal service. Recently I took on the mission of cleaning out my moms basement and garage. Overrun and pinned down by the shear volume of junk, I decided to get on the radio and call in reinforcements. I scheduled the move online easily, and was kept up to date many times on when the crew would arrive. The crew I got was Tom and Will and they were excellent!
