The movers were awesome! It was impossible to seek a more efficient moving team than the one which worked with us last Wednesday. They went above and beyond to ensure they executed their job and excelled at it. However, the management of this company leaves a lot to be desired. Their main focus is money and in their quest for that, forgot current customers bring future business. On the phone, the manager pushes $150/hr, never discloses additional or change in fees and the fact that the customer is expected to pay for the movers journey to go to and from the place of job. We've never, NEVER known of an instance in which you are paid for the time spent commuting to and from work! This causes an addition of hours clients need to pay for and pushes the client into the higher rate bracket. I'm sure Father & Son will state they advised, but they did not. Instead, they sent a dozen pages for us to sign after documenting their time of arrival and before the movers could start working. So we were faced with a chicken or an egg situation. Should we read all pages in totality or sign and ask what is contained within? We choose the latter, knowing we were paying for the time spent signing dusclosures and even then the change in rates were not disclosed. At the end of the job, when we thought we will pay approximately $900, we were faced with a total of $1,610. A point to note is, the movers cannot begin offloading before the total is paid in cash. Many people would not have that difference and in that case, they either seek a loan while the cost keeps climbing because of increased time or have to walk away from their precious items and memories. As great a job as the movers did, we cannot recommend Father & Son without telling about the management portion. The disclosures need to be delivered up-front either verbally or electronically. Some business may be lost in the long run, you will gain more. Dissatisfied customers
