1/2 Price Movers, Full Service and then some! Today my partner and I moved in to our first apartment together and we had help from the awesome Anthony, Alex, Josue, and Keyszon! They were INSANELY FAST yet so careful and precise! From Anthony giving direction and the others following suit, these guys had an awesome system going. The movers got to us at 8:30, and we’re done at 10:40! Never did I think moving would be done so quickly. If I had done this alone with my partner it would’ve taken all day and then some. And I can’t forget their pricing! It cannot be beat, especially for what we’re getting. I am so happy with all of the work the team did, and I am so so happy to have called 1/2 price movers to help with my move. The furniture assembly was quick and easy for them too!! I cannot recommend them enough! Gonna tell all of my family and friends about this company and recommend Alex, Keyszon, Josue, and Anthony specifically. Thanks again guys!!!

Nick, Brandon, Eric and Oshri were super professional! They did a wonderful job protecting and moving my mother in laws furniture from her house to her newly refinished apartment. And not only were they professional but they were light hearted and had a great sense of humor through the whole move (even with all 40 stairs on the top of the hill they needed to climb!). Worth every penny and then some!

The movers, Erick, Kurt, and Edwin were great! They worked hard all morning moving everything we owned out of our second floor walk-up apartment to our new home. They took care to wrap all our fragile furniture and were very efficient at moving things in and out without dinging any walls. As an added bonus, they were all very nice and outgoing guys! Danny and his crew (Louie, Vin, & Avante) were the best by far. They were on time and got to work right away. Everything was moved without a scratch. What ever they take apart, they put back with care and expertise. Better yet, they are priced just right too! By the way, Danny loves his music and plays a variety of tunes to keep the spirit alive. I moved on Super Bowl Sunday. It was a long distance move from Staten Island to Pennsylvania. We needed two trucks. There were 5 guys doing the move Matt, Keith, Jorge, Derrick and Mark. I would give 10 stars if I could. We used 1/2 price movers on Saturday to move my mother in law from SI to NJ. The customer service rep Linda on the phone was so easy to deal with and always got things done quickly for us. The movers Vincent, Ray and Will were the best. I cannot speak more highly of them. We were given a time range and they were early. They worked together and got the job done quickly and efficiently. Everything was thoroughly wrapped and I was confident that the belongings were safe in the truck. I would highly recommend this company and these three gentleman for anyone. I recently moved out of an apartment into a house and I could not have asked for better movers! Vincent, Kurt and Paul were absolutely amazing from start to finish. They were extremely respectful to us and also to each other. I was amazed at how fast they were able to load and unload all of the items we had. They made sure all of the furniture and boxes were placed in the rooms we wanted them in and without any damage to any items, the apartment or the house. Fragile furniture and mirrors were expertly wrapped and protected for transport, making this a stress free move. I would recommend these movers, specifically Vincent, Kurt and Paul, for any move!

On sept 24 half price movers arrived. I blinked and they were done. In one hour they had everything relocated and they took care to ensure nothing was damaged. The superb team was Dom, Vin, Reseem and Josh A. They even helped and guided me on my rug placement letting me know how it looked and which way to put so that it wasn’t backwards. Moving is an obnoxious process. 1/2 Price Movers made it a whole lot better for us. They give you a fair, flat rate. They go over every item you're moving on the phone before giving you a quote. The team they sent (Dom, Keith, Sonny, and Shaheem) was on time, professional, very fast, and took good care of all our items. There was pretty much zero issues, and entire process took way less time than I would have imagined. Definitely worth the money to make life much easier.

Thanks to the hard work, punctuality and professionalism of Mark, John W, Eric M and John D, this was the best moving experience I’ve ever had! Honestly, these guys went above and beyond for my wife, my daughter and me and set our minds at ease during what turned out to be a large move. They got right down to business upon arrival and were very flexible in writing up and moving the “extras” that we didn’t account for in our 12 years living in our Staten Island home. They made 2 trips to our storage until in New Jersey and put in a grueling 12 hour workday without any complaints. I would recommend 1/2 Price Movers anyone who wants a worry free positive experience and I would specifically recommend the aforementioned team. These guys were also fun to work with and attached is a picture we took together during our find trip to our storage unit.

Rios, Jorge, and DB were excellent. They handled my belongings with care and were super efficient, in both Staten Island and New Jersey. My only one complaint is that when I originally booked this company, I had more things to move but upon finalizing the estimate, I informed the office that I was not moving 3 major pieces. I was told that $50 would be taken off for that. However, come to delivery day, that was not the case. After reaching out and the manager getting involved, they only took off $25 as a courtesy. This was very disconcerting because I was only moving ONE armoire and 18; 18 gallon tubs. Granted I was moving from Staten Island to New Jersey but I thought that was very unprofessional to quote one price and it not have been adjusted on their end then giving a lesser adjustment as a courtesy, that they apparently don’t do. Also, I was not told that the toll was not included in the estimate and pretty sure it’s not on the contract neither. Safe to say I was not happy with the office side but the movers themselves were great!

I arranged the day of my move with Rob on the phone. He was courteous and got me the best price for my move. I called a week or so later to put an additional piece of furniture and that was easily taken care of. On moving day I dealt firsthand with Anthony and his helpers were Jeremy and Kurt. They handled my expensive furniture set with care and answered any questions before and after the move. Moving is very stressful but Mark, Mav, Ryan, Vinny, Jarred and Keith took a lot of the stress out of it! Everything went so well, I am so very grateful for all their hard work and especially the care they took with all of our belongings. They worked together like a well oiled machine, it was amazing to watch them. When they arrived, Mark explained exactly the procedure so we knew what was going on at all times, from how they wrap the furniture and load the boxes to how they load and unload the trucks. I cannot recommend them enough! They made an already incredibly stressful day a lot less hectic than it otherwise would’ve been. I have used many movers in my lifetime and as I’m sure you’re well aware of; moving day is never a fun day . You always anticipate stress, aggravation and headaches. Today I had Jeremy, Alfredo, Shariff and Dajon come and move furniture from my house, take it apart, bring it up to storage, take stuff from storage & bring it back to my house. I have never seen a bunch of guys that were so pleasant. They worked together well; like friends, laughing, pleasant, helpful, absolutely careful of my wooden floors and all the surroundings. They wrapped everything up ; & from the minute they walked in ; to the minute they left , they worked together like a team. They never got frustrated about anything. I have to say that from the phone call telling me they were 20 minutes away, the time they came in ,& when they left , it was a really pleasant experience. Nothing in my house was damaged, my floors were great, my furniture was great , they were pleasant. They knew exactly how to take stuff apart, & very organized. I cannot say enough about those four guys. The company is a great company. This is the second time I’ve used them. My son has used them twice; and I will definitely use them anytime I need anything done. We used 1/2 price movers for our move Saturday from Brooklyn to Staten Island. They’re ere professional, courteous, efficient, and overall pleasant to work with! Our movers were ALEX, KURT, RASHAD, and JOHN-JOHN. They dealt with every challenge with EASE! The apartment we were moving from had not one, but two weird turns that didn’t even phase them! One turn was also blocked by the apartment door that they removed easily and put back with no issues. Special shout-out for moving our king size purple mattress that is too heavy for no reason! They only took apart the furniture that they needed to and put it back together! They made sure to put everything in the specific rooms we wanted. I’ve never used movers before but I will never not use them again. Thanks again guys for all your help!

From the moment I met Russell, Jeremy, and Vinny I was at ease. From their genuine concern about moving my late fathers beloved chest to walking it to many other heavy items up 35 stairs tirelessly, they went above and beyond. Danny and his crew made sure that all our items were carefully wrapped and brought out of our apartment with care. They also moved a baby grand piano (effortlessly and with love) to the other side of the room so we can fit the items from our previous home. The process was seamless and they worked so fast it was hard to keep up. Make sure you have a glass of water and some pizza for these gentleman as they will break a sweat for your beloved furniture. They had to deal with my currently flustered super and obstacles to load out my belongings but they did it with grace. 12.10.20 I had 1/2 priced movers (Calvin and Crew) move about seven items from Manhattan to Staten Island, Manhattan Home had nothing but positive comments. Then on the return trip to SI it became a bit tricky for them. They moved everything in place except for a seven ft couch that needed desperately to go downstairs in my den. They tried for a bit but became increasingly frustrated after not being able to complete the task. After only trying a few times they gave up and left this huge couch in my living room. Needless to say I was not in the slightest pleased with the results. I called the company and explained what happened and Katheryn who was wonderful to work with assured me two of there most seasoned professionals would be coming by the same night. It was not even but an hour after business hours that they came to me, reassured me and put all my worries aside. These Professional Moving ANGELS Were Derrick & Matt A. Absolutely 100% Professional, courteous, well mannered, respectful, tenacious gentleman you would ever hope to meet. These men incorporated strength & strategy to finish what the first guys could not and for that I am truly grateful for there hard work, their tenacity and all their efforts to get that seven foot couch downstairs. Yes it was a bit tight but with a well thought out strategy on how to get it down the stairs It could be done. Kathleen was true to her word with what she informed me of (I’ve heard horror stories about other moving companies). The guys who moved us...very professional, punctual, courteous, very sweet, knowledgeable, quick but careful, thoughtful and kept us informed if they had to stop for gas or take a break. In addition, although most of the snow had been removed there was an additional amount near the curb that needed to be cleared away. On July 10, 2020 Tropical Storm Fay was scheduled to hit the East Coast. The moving crew showed up on time with a positive attitude, ready to work and whole lot of love! A handsome group of men comprised of Danny, John C., Edwin & Steve. Danny or as he struck me Big Red, compassionate, caring and very polite- its all about classical music! Then there was John C. standing 6 foot 7 inches with the shaggiest head of hair was in competition with me all day! What a CREEPER! Edwin and Steve, I had their names confused the whole time and not once did they correct me. Steve was Edwin and Edwin was Steve, they look exactly alike I couldn't adjust my eyes! Let me just say my wish was their command but I did not have to really say a thing as they were rocking and rolling the minute they arrived; party cloudy with a chance of a meatballs! About an hour into the phase one of the move the rain began, in an instant the skies opened up and we were in full swing of the storm, these men didn't let the rain stop, deter or derail their plan to finish the move! This is my second time using this company and if I have to move again I will use them time and time again! 1/2 Price Movers just finished moving all of the furniture from my house to a storage facility in Staten Island. From the moment I spoke to Kathleen on the phone, I knew this was the moving company for us. Kathleen took my inventory list over the phone, provided a GREAT price compared to the other two moving companies I contacted and even recommended multiple storage facilities. When booking, they required a small deposit and were very flexible with me as I changed our move date 3 times! The day before the move they gave me a call with a one hour time-frame for their arrival the next day. The morning of the move I received a call from the driver Danny 45 minutes prior to arriving at my home. They perfectly wrapped my furniture and some how made it all fit into my storage unit. Professional, extremely courteous and highly efficient. I initially called Half Price Movers and a couple of their competitors to move two rooms of furniture. Christine promptly responded with a fixed rate quote, available dates and expectations perfectly set for a well-defined move. I couldn't say the same for their *competitors* on the island who provided vague answers, open-ended pricing and an inconvenienced tone on the phone. She was very communicative and worked with me on dates as my schedule changed and went so far as including additional boxes which I didn't think I needed but at the end thankful that she did. On the day of the move their team called to align on arrival times, showed up promptly and went right to work. I can't say enough about Ryan, Eric, Al, and Mike. On a hot, humid day they went above and beyond to move exceptionally heavy furniture from the second and third stories. It was the white glove type service that I'd normally expect from high-end furniture delivery companies, carefully navigating small hallways, multiple staircases and sometimes creatively finding the best path to the truck. They were slow and diligent making sure every item was placed exactly as intended in the new location. Having lived in New York all my life and being somewhat jaded, I was waiting for the catch whether it be for a change on the price for heavy items, slower move, etc. - it never came! The team didn't complain or wince when they saw the work involved. Had I known then what I know now, I wouldn't have hesitated. I'd like to thank Half Price Movers for making a difficult move extremely easy and worry-free.

I would recommend this company over and over again!! We originally had a different moving company coming last Saturday that showed up late just to tell us our furniture was too heavy and they would come with a third guy. When they didn’t show up the following day, we had to find someone fast and we knew it would be hard considering it was Memorial Day weekend. My husband found this company and requested our moving day. Within minutes, his phone rang and from there it was the smoothest move ever!! Derrick, John W, and Jarred showed up the next morning and were easily the best guys we could’ve asked for! They came right in and started wrapping up our furniture immediately. Our furniture is pretty big and we knew it would be a struggle getting it into our new apartment but they figured out a way and were so careful while doing it! We were dreading moving day. But 1/2 price movers sent a crew of guys that made the day fun and stress free. The guys showed up to our home in Staten Island around 9:45 am. . They had us moved out, drove to our new NJ home, moved us in and were done by 5:45 pm. The guys were professional and respectful. They disassembled our beds and furniture and carefully wrapped them so there was no damage. They were careful not to damage any walls or floors. Best move ever!!! I'm so thankful to the queens crew Ryan, Lamar, Atlas, John and Zack. All five guys were absolutely fantastic! They were extremely professional, organized, quick and efficient. Nick, Josh, Kevin and Brandon were amazing. I’ve used many movers over the years and they are hands down my favorite. Moving is so stressful but the guys had such positive vibes. I felt very comfortable and taken care of. You can see that they really know what they are doing. They were quick and hardworking. Moved on Saturday, May 4, 2019. Excellent team on deck - Steve W., John W., John D. and Jordan. This team was great! Friendly, courteous and worked nicely together to get the job done. Steve is a good team leader. I could tell that two of the guys were fairly new to this job but Steve and John were patient and willing to share their expertise and knowledge. They demonstrated what it is to be a team player. I know they don't know that I was listening or watching their work ethic but now they do. I recommend 1/2 Price movers all the time. These guys were so fast! Came in at 9:30 and finished the pick up (~80 boxes and furniture for a 2 bedroom) in about 2 hours.
