Needed an upright piano and a cabinet moved from my parents to me, and a sideboard moved across the room at my home. Super easy scheduling process and Chris Knowles was courteous, knowledgeable, and accommodating in every way possible. The 2 guys were able to pick up early, which was great, they acted professionally and took good care in wrapping and moving the piano. They were also very polite and courteous and didn't waste any time getting the job done when loading and when unloading. I wish I remembered their names! I will definitely use True Friends again for my moving needs. Great work guys!!

True Friends Moving Company was definitely the best decision I made with my move! I needed to move a washer and dryer from the second floor of my home to a new apartment with a very small laundry room. My moving team (just 2 guys) took extra care in moving these very heavy appliances down the stairs without the use of a dolly or anything that would ruin my hardwood floors! When bringing them into the new apartment they had very little space to get the washer and dryer into and they did it with ease! They were able to maneuver these appliances without a scratch to any walls or the appliances themselves! I would highly recommend True Friends Moving Company and will definitely use them again in the future!

I can’t begin to tell you how good this moving experience was. From the time I first called I got the information I. Ended, when I needed it, and in a totally thorough, professional and friendly way. There were no surprises (unless you count how unexpectedly smoothly everything went), the cost was reasonable, the movers came on time and did everything efficiently and carefully. And the movers were smart, genuinely nice guys who had a great attitude and real knowledge. If I ever have a move in Nashville again I won’t hesitate to call Two Friends.

I could not have been more pleased with this company. They are the best I have used in Nashville (out of three). They were the fastest I've used, but they were also just naturally careful. It never came to mind to ask them to carry one of my belongings another way, or to be more cautious. They just did it right and I had peace of mind. And they were courteous the whole time. Absolute professionals. I found them with other highly rated movers on Angie's List, but they were also significantly cheaper than one of their other highly rated competitors. Worth every penny.

I reached out to True Friends to help pack for a move. Zach and Will were amazing. Friendly, professional, and fast. My furniture is wrapped, all of my belongings are packed and ready to be moved. I wish they were also handling all aspects of the move because I know it would be done very well; however, I booked packing after I booked the movers on each end of the move. If you are looking for a move, use True Friends. My experience was great, and I have heard others say the same.

I literally hit the jackpot of moving experiences yesterday. 3 guys arrived on time and even gave me a 20-30 min heads up prior to arrival. They were polite, incredibly hard workers and so careful with all my belongings. My team lead Daniel was fantastic as were the two guys on his team. The scheduling experience was simple and they had availability with only about a weeks notice. Could not have been more pleased with the entire experience start to finish.

Yesterday, True Friends Moving Company representatives Cameron & Jeremiah helped with relocating pieces of furniture from storage to my home. These pieces of extremely heavy and awkward to move. This company was very affordable compared to a lot of other companies I looked at in Nasvhille. They were very easy to communicate with (initially to get a quote, then to schedule the move. They also called the day before to confirm and review the plan) and had no hidden fees! They provided 2 very nice, strong, efficient movers who were flexible and so helpful on move day. I was a little skeptical after reading previous reviews (there are a few 1 stars) but it has dawned on me that much of your experience is going to depend on who they send out to help you move. In my case, the two people that helped me were incredibly efficient and professional. No damage to any of my items, and they completed the job way quicker than I had anticipated. They were also friendly and helpful as they even gave me advice are where to put stuff (when I asked of course). 10/10 would use again.

I had a great experience. I had already moved in and needed help unpacking, setting up beds, moving things around and taking all the empty boxes and packing paper away. Zach Wood and Davonte Garrett were very organized and efficient. They went over and above board to accommodate me. I would definitely use them again.

The guys doing the work were great but the price is not worth it. Moved four bigger items 1 block away. No stairs on the loading but took a washer and dryer upstairs at the new house. Total time was about an hour, charged $835. Wasn't told anything about extra fees for heavy items. Best bet, go to home depot, rent their truck for $29 and a few day laborers.

While this was not an inexpensive move, I had a great experience with True Friends. My move was complicated by construction at my apartment complex and the gentlemen who helped us pack and move were very flexible and understanding in dealing with a downtown Nashville apartment complex! The movers did an outstanding job packing and were being careful with our bedroom set. They did a great job! However, it is a bit expensive when they add the $199.00 service charge, just for driving to the pickup spot. It is already $199.00 per hour to pack and move your furniture, could do without the added $199.00 just to get to the house.

Wow! These guys are amazing. Thank you to Adrian Carney and Micheal Johnson. Jonathan was also an incredible mover. I had to move from Nashville to Atlanta from a 5 bedroom house with massive and heavy furniture and they made sure my precious and valuable belongings did not get damaged. I didn’t have a single issue. These guys know what they are doing. Super polite and respectful. They wasted no time! My only complaint is with the business owner who charges a fee for using a credit card!!! You need a certified check or you will be charged a percent fee. I wish I would’ve known in advance. But, let me emphasize that I would do business and recommend this company again because of my experience with the movers I was so lucky to get. Thank you Michael, Adrien, and Jonathan!

Everything about the move was great! From the moment I called to reserve the service - all the way until the last package was dropped off at my new address. Reserving a move date was super easy. I had to change the date and they were able to accommodate the change. The movers they sent, Brett and Jadahi, were super sweet and personable. First of all, bless this crew for helping me move on Easter weekend. Everyone I interacted with was super nice, professional, and detailed—from Chris and Stephanie to Michael and Corey. No hidden surprises or charges when it was time to settle up. The absolute best customer service I have received from any company. Mike and Corey were on time and didn’t waste any time. They got straight to business and handled my things with care. They made it so easy and took so much stress off of me. They were an absolute hoot and a great team. They also noticed that my washing machine hose was starting to corrode and recommended I change it out before it became a leaky problem. Such attention to detail that I appreciate. They effortlessly moved and arranged and rearranged my furniture. I was absolutely blown away by this company and their service. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! They moved me from Nashville to Clarksville over an hour away and were done by lunch time. Super efficient crew. I hired True Friends to move some heavy furnishings in my home. The move was excellent, from the initial phone call to the conclusion. The employees were very professional, polite, attentive, and careful with my furnishings, walls, door frames and corners. They finished with some time remaining on the clock, asked if I needed anything else, and they happily brought my Christmas trees down from the attic. I really appreciated that the movers asked if there was anything else they could do for me. I used to be the Director of Business Development of Black Tie Moving and moved, as a Marine military member, I’ve moved over 50 times, so know a thing or two about moving. 💪🏽 I just recently had two back to back moves with TF. Both of them went perfectly smooth and NO dinged walls, NO damaged furniture, and no stolen goods. This is unbelievable in the industry. Both my houses were over 2000sf full moves, and the latter was an unexpected packing job for the movers, I ran out of steam. No complains, hustle attitude, actually fun help. I have moved plenty of times in my life and this is hands down the best moving company I have had so far. Devante and Fletcher were super quick and courteous. Most movers take their sweet time and then tack on a bunch of fees at the end, True Friends does NOT do that. It was quick, easy, and affordable. I will be using them again for my next move for sure.

My first HAPPY move, thanks to True Friends! I never realized how much "behind the scenes" work goes into a move. But, True Friends came prepared. They asked all the important questions upfront that set both our expectations straight for the move. The crew moved quick (but not too quick risking damage to my items), and communicated well together. Not one item was damaged and all fragile boxes were handled carefully. A 1500sf house with a lot of furniture was moved in 4.5 hours start to finish including the drive time across town. Honestly, worth every penny. Thanks guys!

The move was difficult as heavy furniture pieces had to be maneuvered down a staircase and then other furniture moved back upstairs and they did the moving of the furniture with great ease and a smile. We had the best experience with True Friends Moving Company. Steven Campbell, Shaun Hardy and Stone Smith were exceptional. They called before they arrived, arrived on time, and were so kind and professional. To say they hustled is an understatement!! They took great care of our items and despite the heat and humidity, remained pleasant and personable during the entire day. We have several steps leading up to the front door of our home, and a two story home and despite having to go up and down with such heavy items a zillion times, they couldn’t have been nicer. Our household goods had been moved to a storage unit in Murfreesboro, TN, and just needed to be moved to our new home. I couldn't have asked for a better team than Brett and Kenneth. Had a very positive experience all around with True Friends moving. We had some tricky timing issues and our contact worked with us through several unexpected changes. Only thing I would suggest is that you have a representative walk your property before final decision is made as to number of trucks needed and personnel sent on moving day. We had to have a additional truck sent on move day that slowed the process a bit. The moving team was excellent. Jacob, Jodiah, Kyle, Adrian and Andrew worked industriously to load and unload trucks despite tremendous heat and lots of stairs. They were polite, appreciative of water, Gatorade and lunches we provided and careful with our belongings. We were happy to see the same team show up that had originally packed the trucks to actually deliver our things on move in day. Team leader, Jacob, was very conscientious and worked to keep things running smoothly under less than ideal conditions. Moving rates seemed reasonable too. We definitely recommend True Friends and would use them again.

Jacob & his crew were awesome!! He went over everything with us before they started, and then they loaded it up -- all wrapped and very carefully handled. All three were very courteous and pleasant -- I never heard a single grumble or complaint. They unloaded fast and put everything where we asked them to put it -- even separating marked boxes to different rooms. We moved from our home into a storage facility and they did exactly as we asked as far as placement of our items. Highly recommend this team. The good: Our crews were excellent. Our packing/loading crew--Jerry, Ron, and Jake--were clearly professionals. They worked hard, packed our things well, asked questions about our preferences, and were engaging people. We also had a great experience with our unloading crew. Devin and Ontario worked really hard, were careful with our things, deposited boxes in the appropriate locations, and were very pleasant to work with. They had to move our things into a freight elevator, so they could be delivered many floors up into a high-rise apartment. Unbeknownst to us, the freight elevator was a long distance from the truck's loading dock, and our apartment itself was also a long ways away from the elevator. Even though Devin and Ontario didn't have to climb stairs, they moved our stuff over a lot of distance! If I was rating the moving crews alone, I'd definitely give True Friends Moving Company five stars. The not-so-good: I wish the person who had given us an estimate had asked more questions about our moving circumstances. The quote we were given for the total move--$2400--wound up being a drastic underestimate; the total move cost $4000. The final total fit the details of our contract, so we paid it without complaint. It had been obvious that our crews had worked really hard, but the packing and loading took much longer than the estimator anticipated. In retrospect, I wish the estimator had asked us more questions about our original home (how many bookshelves were in our study?) and the location to which we were going (how far away is the loading dock from the elevator?). Questions like these would have helped us give the estimator more detailed information, and I think this might have given us a more accurate picture of what the move would cost.

The move took longer than expected due to the logistics of a high floor, freight elevator, tight turns, and my having some very large pieces. He was working with a newer gentleman who chipped part of my bedroom suite and claimed it was already cracked when we saw him hit the door with it. We had a lot of moving pieces with our move so they were extremely flexible with our dates and for that I was grateful, BUT more care could have been taken during our move 3 weeks ago and more movers should have been allocated to us. We had 2 moving specialists for a 2800 square ft house with a 3 car garage that was pretty full of stuff. I told them what we had at the beginning so we should have been given 3 or 4 movers. Our leather recliner was damaged, they gouged the paint off my husband’s expensive tool chest, and tried to force our washer through a doorway - thus damaging the door to our laundry room in our brand new house. Have been trying to reach somebody in their Claims department for 2 weeks now and keep getting the run around or pushed to the person’s voicemail (with no returned phone calls yet). That being said, the movers were tasked with loading us up on a 96 degree day and they were overall pretty good (and polite) but like I said, just wished more caution was used to not damage our belongings in transit.

It was raining, so we were worried, but Carl and his crew (total four people and two trucks) helped us overcome all our anxiety. Pax and Eric are the Bomb... I hope you get them when you move. I was afraid to hire per hour as some companies take their good old time... but not these guys.. not only where they early, they were fast. The best part was when they were taking fragile or big bedroom items and dining tables out and into the new place, they handled them with the upmost care and never hit one wall or doorway. I moved a whole house under three hours... I will always call on True Friends. Owning my own business, I usually find that most companies now a days do not have hospitality and customer care in their actual actions. Everyone promises this but usually falls way short. True friends delivers- excuse the pun. They live their business model and I felt that I had good friends caring for my personal stuff throughout the process. They were very professional even though they are younger. Great hires!!!

We read the reviews and we WERE considering this company. We definitely noticed reasonable and eager communication from Chris on the FRONT END, but then it fell off after I mentioned a few reviews about underestimating pricing in a few recent posts, and communication concerns with customers regarding their becoming condescending after dealing with appears to be a very impatient person or two. Maybe he or they have too much on their plate to be "true friends"... BTW my initial quote went up by $3000 from $4500 to $7500, even after a virtual walk-through like I did with other companies. If you choose to use this company, make sure they know ALL the details because they may overlook a few things and possibly bill you after the fact.

I've got a number of moves on my belt in my adult life, and to date, True Friends has been the best company to work with. They stay true to their name by providing friendly, professional, and courteous service, and they completed my family's recent home move across town with precision and skill. I received a referral to this moving company from a friend of my sister's who had them take care of a very large and involved move. When I spoke to them on the phone, they were very professional and asked all of the right questions to ensure I got the right estimate and the best possible moving experience. The estimate was lower than another company across town that I consulted with and chose not to use. When they arrived to start the move, they were on time and prepared with many materials to keep all of my furniture and belongings safe. They used lots of padding and shrink wrapping to make sure that my things were protected, and they disassembled and reassembled every furniture piece possible with great care. I even had them remove some furniture that I no longer had use for, but was still in nice, usable condition. This was a nice touch, and I appreciated not having to deal with hauling huge pieces on my own.

The individuals in the administrative office are quick to respond to emails and phone calls. Because of the pandemic I had to reschedule the date of my move which was easily done. This was the 3rd time I have used True Friends and the first time I have used them for a move outside of the metro Nashville area. Once again the service was fantastic. The rates are extremely reasonable and they always finish in far less time then I would ever imagine. I’m very bad with name so unfortunately I do not remember the names of the 2 gentlemen that helped me this time but they were great and managed to get all of my belongings securely packed into a tiny storage unit at my destination. They were polite and friendly and I could not ask for better service. My only complaint is that I now live outside of the service area so I will have to find another company next time!

We've used True Friends twice in the last year (hopeful won't need to again for a long time, moving stinks). The first run went so well, we hired them again. Prices are reasonable, the two different teams of guys have been very helpful and friendly, and generally the work was done quickly. We had no damage or loses, though our moves were small, so risk was lower in the first place. For our second move, we were scheduled around noon, but said we'd be open to earlier if a team became available. The morning of, they were able to move up, and we got a call, text, and email letting us know so we were prepared for their arrival. In both instances they were very good with communicating when and how things would happen.

For the most part, things went well. The guys were super polite and kept a smile on their faces despite the heat and how long it took. Now my issue is that not everything fit in the truck, so if I had been moving more than 30 min away, I would have been in a terrible predicament. I had someone do several trips back and forth later that night and then the next day I had to pay someone to get the rest of the stuff. The movers tried their best to fit things, but maybe a video of a house would help plan better. I did have dirty hand prints on furniture and walls, but I was able to clean those off. I just didn’t experience any of this with my previous move from another state.

I have used True Friends Moving now 3 times. The last of which was not nearly as positive an experience, unfortunately. I feel a lot of time was wasted during the loading, with movers walking back & forth from house to cubes outside without any belongings. I was also disappointed that the TV box that I requested for an additional $20 was just multiple pieces of cardboard that were then sloppily wrapped with packing tape. I had to take it all apart & redo the job myself. I think True Friends is a good company, but sadly they missed their mark on this past job for me.

Great experience from start to finish. We had a short distance to move but a lot of stuff and wanted help with the big items and as many boxes as we could have ready. True Friends Moving really helped me out of a jam when I was moving. I was moving from a second-floor apartment to my very first home. I had a lot of furniture to get out of my apartment, but the only way to get back and forth was by stairs. As a single woman, 5’2 120 pounds, I knew I wouldn’t be able to tackle it alone. I searched online for moving companies in the Nashville area, and True Friends provided me with a quick and reasonable estimate. When they arrived, both men were professional, polite, and clean-cut. They politely greeted my daughter and I, and then immediately got to work. They followed my instructions to the tee, even making helpful suggestions to protect my furniture and art in the process. They were extremely fast too- never stopping or hesitating before moving on to the next task. What would’ve taken me a weekend to do by myself, or with help, these gentlemen did in a matter of a few hours. The two gentlemen were neat, making sure that everything was left as it was found. When they arrived at the new house, they reassembled EVERYTHING- I didn’t have to lift a finger. I could focus on arranging and organizing while they did all the heavy lifting. The entire time the men were polite, friendly, and respectful- I didn’t hear one complaint the entire time. We moved in early August 2015. We set everything up several weeks before and was told they would be there between 8:30-9:30. I got a call from Carlos at 8:45 and told me exactly what the GPS was giving him as an arrival time. They were right on time. It happened to be a day in which it rained... A lot... the whole move. Carlos and his partner (didn't talk much, I think he was new) worked diligently throughout the day. We scheduled a load and unload move and I took up their entire day. They gave no complaints and never slowed up (they did take a 15 minute smoke break twice and the breaks were justly deserved). Carlos came into the apartment which was on the second level with about 15 steps and sized it up quickly. They were only there to handle the furniture which I couldn't do on my own. They shrink wrapped all of our glass and wood furniture in blankets and were very cautious in getting out the door and down the steps. It took about 4 hours to complete a 26 ft truck. They took a brief lunch (not charged time, of course) and they were right back at it at the new house. We provided them with empty flattened wardrobe boxes throughout the heavy traffic areas due to the rain and mud. They likely had that covered, but I went ahead and put it down anyway. They unloaded in about 3 hrs and I was charged appropriately for the time. Carlos even set up the washer connections and the vent hose on the dryer without my request. As this was a new build, there were a few nicks, scratches and dings (we had some really heavy furniture), but after I submitted pictures to owner Chris, we agreed on a reasonable reimbursement for what it would take to fix. He was very prompt with the reimbursement. No tracking down or demanding he follow through with his promise. Overall, I was very impressed with the professionalism of Chris and Carlos, both. If you are moving, I highly recommend True Friends Moving Company. Be sure to ask for Carlos. He knows what he is doing and gave good and concise direction to his partner to ensure no furniture was damaged. Thanks Chris for everything!

This was the first time we had financed a move out of state on our own. The quote we got was only about 25% higher than renting a truck on our own and hiring help for loading and unloading. All of the contact I had with the company prior to the move was very positive. - They were late in arriving on load day, which resulted in our having to leave Nashville before the movers did. If we had done a walk through before leaving Nashville, some of the problems could have been avoided. - They left a chair sitting on the front porch (If they'd glanced at the house as they drove off, they would have seen it). - The folks at the office referred to the help as 'seasoned professionals', but the leader did not appear to be trained well nor did he appear to treat the items he was transporting.with great care. Example - he carried upholstered furniture by tightly holding the upholstered side against his torso, soaking the upholstery in perspiration. He also stacked heavy boxes atop of items made of plastic or wicker. - Despite the poor service, they put us on the spot asking us for tips. After receiving small tips, they quickly left without completing all of the promised services, such as reassembling furniture parts that had been disassembled for transporting. Followup - the owner contacted me after I disclosed my online moniker. He offered some remediation,. I think it would be a good idea for them to contact customers shortly after the move and ask if everything was satisfactory, rather than just responding to negative reviews.

We moved roughly one-room of boxed items from one location to a houseboat located thirty minutes away. The service was very easy to arrange and schedule, the two mover we on time and super courteous and they were very efficient. They got in and got out quickly. Things couldn't have gone better. These guys were great! Very good communication in the front end. The two guys that did our move were super nice and respectful and they busted their guy. They couldn’t get their truck up our driveway so had to jump boxes down a large hill and hike back up. Brutal work, but they did it without complaint. All of our stuff was treated with the utmost care. I couldn’t be more pleased with their service, and I highly recommend them

Very respectful guys who maintained a great attitude even though the day was much longer than anticipated. Nothing broken. Took special care with a few antique pieces I was nervous about moving and nothing damaged. Only negative was that the quote was given over the phone based on square footage and so instead of the estimated five hours it took fifteen. Probably should have had a bigger crew and two trucks. I highly recommend the company, but would request they come out in person to look things over in order to give the most accurate estimate.

They did a wonderful job wrapping all of our precious salvaged items and were careful to load the truck safely since things were moved into storage very haphazardly. I’m so mad at myself for not hiring movers before (my recent move was my 9th in 9 years and I’ve always done it myself), but I am so glad that my first experience with professional movers was with True Friends! From booking my move to putting down the very last box, I had such a pleasant experience! I really appreciated the curtesy call that I received 15 minutes before the movers arrived at my apartment (I’m not a morning person, but booked a morning move) and Dustin and Keshawn were absolutely incredible! They were efficient, careful with my things, very professional and honestly, fun to be around during a stressful time! If I had one piece of advice for people that are moving, it would be to HIRE MOVERS! Sure, it was more expensive than doing it myself (probably not because I would’ve had to rent a truck and it would’ve taken me 100x longer doing it myself), but it took so much stress off my shoulders!! 10/10, would highly recommend. Had a great experience with Carl and Darrius today! They were friendly, courteous, attentive and very quick with the move. Even when we realized there would be a lot more stairs than anticipated at the house I was moving to, they just adjusted and got the job done in good spirits. As a young woman moving alone I sometimes worry about interacting with men I don’t know, but I felt totally comfortable with both of them because of their high level of professionalism and care. You can tell they have lots of experience because my couch is famously difficult and it only took them a few minutes to get it through two relatively constrained doorways. All of my furniture and boxes arrived intact, and looking at the truck I could see it was packed really carefully with plenty of blankets to protect all my things. I have never had a smoother moving process, and would highly recommend.
