Using 6th Man Movers for my local move was a great decision. Greg, my coordinator, helped me on the front end lining up the team and ensuring I was ready come moving day. My crew, Harley and Marquez, took great care to protect my stuff from loading the truck to unloading, assembly furniture, and placing items where I needed them to be placed. Nothing was broken or damaged and the team even accommodated my request to load some items in a very orderly fashion in my new attic. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommended this company.

Davey, Quron and Trey were fantastic from start to finish. They took excellent care in loading our items, carefully wrapping and protecting high dollar or antique pieces. Davey was very communicative throughout the process, updating us on their ETA each day. They arrived on time, ensured we were unloaded and setup the same day they arrived. They're all very hard workers, professional and made us feel comfortable that we were in great hands. Easily the best moving company and moving experience I've ever had!

The team that we had (Charles, Davey, Joe, Brandon, and Vito) were very hard-working, responsive, considerate, caring, and demonstrated great teamwork. They treated our items as if they were their own, and were very willing to accommodate our requests. Charles is an exceptional engineer with great problem-solving skills. Both he and Davey were very effective at leading and directing their less-experienced team members. It made for a much easier transition for us. The operations team was very responsive as well, and the follow up and willingness to hear our requests made what could have been a very unpleasant experience less stressful for us. Nothing is perfect, but these folks strive to make this a good experience and a good value.

We recently moved from Chicago to Tennessee, and finding good movers was one of the most stressful parts. We chose 6th man movers because they came highly recommended, did not require us to share space with others, the service team was responsive, and they were full service (didn’t want a do it yourself move). We had a great experience overall. The movers were prompt, friendly, hard working, handled our stuff with care, and called out where they might have accidentally bumped a wall. These professionals were also incredibly helpful as they constantly asked us if there was more that they could do. I’d highly recommend them.

Every aspect of our local move went smoothly. Communication prior to the move was timely, specific and helpful. This continued throughout our move. The crew, David, Veto and Jaron, were professional, good natured, and took good care of our household goods. They navigated a tricky unloading of heavy wood working equipment with great care and good humor. All of our furniture arrived in our new home as it departed from our old home. Excellent experience the whole way around.

I went with 6th man because they had lots of reviews and were highly rated. They arrived on time in the morning. I was moving out of a 1BR in an apt tower and the freight elevator was still in use, but they were able to do some prep work while waiting. I was moving to a house 20 min away and the whole move was done in under 3 hours, which was about the minimum I thought possible. I had moved the smaller items myself, but there were still many bulky items way too large for my car, probably about 500 cu ft. It went smoothly with reasonable charges for tape + shrink wrap and no big surprises.

They were excellent in navigating large furniture through tight spaces, and I could tell they took pride in appropriately caring for the items they packed and moved. All I can say is WOW! We simply needed to move three bedrooms out to have floor work done. Davey and Nokie showed up timely as promised and hit the ground running! Two delightful young men who clearly knew what they were doing and the best way to move 3 bedrooms into a compact space for storage. Professional, efficient, and well worth the money! 5 stars is not enough!

This was my first time ever hiring movers. Brent and Christopher showed up on time, within the arrival window I was told. The office was also great in responding to my Phone calls in advance. Brent and Christopher took their time to diligently wrap the furniture so that nothing got damaged. They were polite and asked me where everything should go. Overall they knocked it out of the park. Also, this company doesn’t charge any hidden fees (aside from a small credit card fee). Materials cost me about $25 for two bedrooms worth of furniture. I Would highly recommend this company.

They packed 2 26' trucks for us and delivered to 2 different places (from Columbia TN to Savannah TN) the following day. They were quick, so professional, happy, funny, and so respectful. 7/16/22: We had the best experience with the 4 men crew and 2 trucks that came to move us today. All 4 guys were so pilot and respectful. I'm so bummed as I'm typing this review. I took a photo (so I thought) of the three men who moved my two-bedroom apartment from Nashville to Clarksville today. But when I just checked my camera for the memory card to upload that photo, it wasn't there. I forgot I removed it! Grrr! Anyway, that aside, my move today was one of the best experiences I've ever had with a moving company. Shawn, Revo and Juan from 6th Man Movers showed up this morning ready to work and they sure did. Juan is newer to the moving business and was "in training." I was impressed by how careful he was with all of my items. Shawn and Revo are seasoned pros and it showed! They maneuvered my very large dresser up a narrow set of stairs with ease and picked up other large pieces of furniture as if they were toys. All three gentlemen were very personable and easy-going, yet completely professional and focused on the task at hand. My items arrived without any issue. Also, they were fast! The whole move took only four hours. As for the booking process, that was super pleasant as well. Alex provided the quote and booked me right away. He was very responsive by both phone and email. I highly recommend this company. I picked them even though they weren't the cheapest quote. Why? Because you get what you pay for and I wanted quality movers who've been around for 10+ years with high ratings. I got my money's worth for sure. If you're looking for excellent movers in Nashville, then look no further than 6th Man Movers. These guys are just great.

I contacted 6th Man Movers on very short notice for a move. I thought they would deny me but they fit me right in as if the move was weeks or months away! The two movers I had were Markins and Markinston. I had movers before but they don't even compare to the job they did. They wrapped and/or taped just about every piece of furniture I had and even asked where I wanted each piece once we got to my new place. They were quick and very personable guys. We got a quote immediately after doing a facetime walkthrough of our house. Damien and his crew were phenomenal with our actual move! Him and his crew of 3 loaded up our entire house in 2.5 hours and unloaded in 3 hours. What could have taken much longer only took 5.5 hours total. Best of all - they took excellent care of our things - not 1 thing broken our damaged in the move - very high quality!

We had a 2 man crew for my daughters move from her storage unit into her new apartment . My daughter had just recently had foot surgery she was not able to help at all. When I booked the movers we were told that there would only be 3 steps they would have to go up to set into her apartment . When we went to check out her new place we saw there was a set of stairs of about 13 steps . We called to inform them of this . The gentlemen was not upset at all and told us it was fine . All of her items were handled with care with no mishaps . I would definately refer them to anyone I knew that was moving

I decided on 6th Man amongst others and right away, noticed how extremely prompt and communicative prior to the move. The morning of, when I opened up our storage unit, there was loads of water damage to our belongings due to prior flooding. Moving can be one of the most stressful things to do anyway but the professionalism, customer service, and good nature of the guys that were involved (Jamarquez, Mark, Allen, and Alex) to understand, help organize, and set me at ease is why I would use 6th Man Movers anytime and would recommend them to anyone.

This was our second move with 6th Man and they did a great job! The crew--Markins and Markinston, Revo, Veto (Vito?), and Kamronwas fast, no lollygagging around, and cheerful too. Guys you can talk to and joke around with make the day go by faster. All our stuff was wrapped and well protected. And did I mention how fast they were? They hustle. I would say we'll use them again but we just moved all our belongings for an estate sale as we plan to travel for a while so I won't have need of movers anytime soon, if ever again, but you should give 'em a call if you want your move done well and with as little stress and anxiety as possible.

We did 2 separate moves within 3 days. We moved our whole household and then moved our garage contents to a storage unit. Both moves went smoothly. Communication from the main office and the drivers was very helpful. Let us know when they were 20 minutes out and the front office called the day before to confirm. I highly recommend these movers. Best movers we’ve ever used. Arranging the move was simple and quick. They confirmed and confirmed and confirmed all the way up to the day of the move. The two men who did the work were Alex and Charles. They kept us apprised of their ETA on both ends and showed up when they said they would. This is probably the best move I've had in a very long time and I've moved several times in the last 10 years both locally and out-of-state. The staff at the office was super responsive to my quote request and to booking my move. It was also the second-best price quote I received and for what I got, it was an extremely good value! My movers, who I believe were Charles and DeShawn, were so professional, friendly, and careful with my belongings. They took time to listen to my concerns and made sure that they were careful while moving stuff into my new build home. I 100% recommend these movers!

It's been pretty hot in Nashville this summer but these guys never griped or complained, just did the job quickly as possible. 6th Man Movers... a little pricey, I thought, but I have no complaints. We just moved from Mt. Juliet to Clarksville. Our move consisted Of two pack days and two full moving days. We were moving about 5000 sqft of filled living space of our main home and mother in law’s apt. Markin, Markinston, Tremayne and Jron were on time, professional and great to work with. I had a mixed experience with this company. On the one hand, almost every member of the team I worked with over the two days of our move was incredibly hard-working and friendly and careful with our stuff. But, they didn't pack the truck very well, and they ended up jamming some things in to make them fit. Despite me asking them to be careful, they damaged a number of items including putting a deep and long scratch in the tank of my motorcycle. Moving is hard, and overall 6th Man was great, but I'm super bummed about my motorcycle and a couple other things that were scratched and dented.

Not only were they professionally, polite, and helpful, they are efficient! I contacted All My Sons, MoveOn, and Fox Movers. Everyone was polite and professional in the quote process, one, which I will not name, either did not want to travel to Waverly or too busy as they quoted us 3x all others. 6th man arrived at our home in Cross Plains with 2 x 26' trucks, 4 men, and then 109 miles to Waverly TN. We were well prepared but on day of move still needed some furniture take down and wrapping, AND they also helped us with setup at our new home. No complaining, no texting staring at their phones, no sitting around waiting for the client to direct their every move, 6th Man Moving went above and beyond our expectations. They also respected the fact we have 4 dogs, one handicapped and always followed our protocols to assure none got loose or waiting patiently as we moved them them around the new home. Clean trucks, all equipment in working order, and again professional hard working 4 man crew (2 trucks) you that is what a moving company is all about. At origin and our new home, 2 issues arose where the crew stopped, and said "Look we can move this piece of furniture but may damage your walls, or the item itself" rather than just push forward. NO EXTRA FEES, NO UNEXPECTED SURCHARGES, NOTHING DAMAGED! Will be using them again for our storage area moves from White House to Waverly this Summer. You want professional service that fair exceeds their fair pricing, you go with 6th Man Movers no question! Well done gentlemen

Three guys loaded a 26' moving truck that we rented from U-Haul. We had a little too much stuff to fit into the truck, but they did not leave a single cubic foot unoccupied. I'm stunned how tightly they managed to pack everything in. Even some incredibly awkward items were Tetris'ed together and completely secured. On top of this, their communication was top notch. Unlike a lot of other movers, they are using modern booking and communication software to make organizing the move MUCH easier for customers, with estimates, payments, and invoices all handled in a super-professional way. And did I mention that my move was the week of Christmas? They were available for crisp communication even during that busy season. The guys who came out to handle the truck loading were all friendly, professional, and were also accommodating of a handful of specific requests about items I wanted at the very back of the truck so I could immediately unload them at my new destination. I would recommend them to anyone in Nashville without reservation.

I'll start this review by saying I have no connection with this company or the employees that helped me, this is a totally independent review. I generally dread dealing with things like moves or repairs, where the companies seem totally focused on cheating you out of as much of your money as possible. But 6th Man Movers was GREAT! The three man team was Markins, Charles and Decoreyon, and they were totally awesome. They were professional, highly skilled, competent, efficient, careful not to damage any of the furniture, and very friendly. One thing I particuarly liked was that they clearly were not trying to maximize the amount of time the move cost (the company charges by time, not the estimate, which I definitely like) but rather trying to move things as quickly as possible within the context of not damaging anything. For instance, rather when putting one (large) thing in the dolly, they would add in a second box that fit, rather than just going with the main piece. When I mentioned this and thanked them, they said "we try to see things from the point of view of the customer." I would definitely use them again, and highly recommend them.

Jackie and Dewey, our movers, worked efficiently while still taking great care of all of our belongings. My only complaint (which is very minor) is that the person who called to confirm the move assured me that our movers would be able to put together our bed frame, but the movers themselves told us that they weren’t allowed to assemble a bed unless they had disassembled it, per company policy. More clarity on the front end would have been helpful, but at the end of the day, only a minor inconvenience relative to the superb service provided. These guys are AMAZING! I would highly recommend Mark and Markins. I have a lot of breakable things, and they were very careful with everything. They padded my walls, railings, door frames and floors and wrapped all of my glass items and furniture in plastic wrap to make sure they didn't damage anything. One things was: they could finish my moving in 3 hours because I had packed everything and wrapped my furniture (except dining table and bed). They were fast at the beginning but at the destination they worked slowly. Although it was a very short distance, it took 4 hours. But, I will definitely work with this company again.

This is my third time hiring movers. After two previously mediocre to bad experiences, I shopped around quite a bit before selecting 6th man. They had the best rate, and excellent customer service during the planning phase of my move. For my large household, their estimated duration was 6-9 hours with two vans and four men. I made sure we were packed prior to arrival, and tried to keep things organized with all our boxes in the garage, leaving mostly just the furniture in the house. The one thing I didn’t get to do ahead of time was disassemble the furniture. Even still they were able to get us moved in 6 hours and were polite and easy to work with the whole time. I provided lunch and they literally ate while they worked in spite of my encouraging them to take a break. We jumped in and helped carry boxes while they finished assembling the furniture. The only tiny error made was that they put the headboard to my son’s toddler bed on backwards. That was an easy fix. I was definitely impressed with the professionalism and efficiency, yet they were careful with our belongings. As we’ve unpacked, so far nothing has been broken or damaged. I needed help packing and labor, filling up uhauls and Pods on less than two weeks notice. The office team was responsive and pricing was reasonable. I wasn’t sure the best way to secure the mix of MANY, MANY items I had to pack - large and small furniture and boxes and loose items, but the crews were on it and the crew leads were Tetris-wunderkinds. They enabled me to cancel one of my Pods, saving me money on my moving and storage. Plus, they were all very professional, hard working, and easy-going. I was indecisive on how to go about things, they made good suggestions and accommodated on-the-fly changes. Over the two days they assisted an associate from the office came out and checked on how everything was going and made sure everything was up-to-snuff both days. Tim & Austin from 6th Man Movers were super great! Incredibly hard workers - they didn't stop all day. Our move ended up taking so much longer than originally thought due to the elevator in our building, but they didn't once complain. All-up the move took 8.5hrs from start to finish, and while our bill itself was higher because of that, we can't complain about the quality of service received. We had some serious concerns about some of our furniture fitting into our new space, but they made it all glide in effortlessly with literally only 2 little wall nicks, as to be expected with an angled entrance way. Perhaps the ONLY thing that came as a surprise when billed was we were charged for plastic/seran-wrap and masking tape, which we'd been told wouldn't be extra costs at the time we booked 6th Man. We'd been told there'd be 'no additional costs', so those charges came as a bit of a surprise. All in all though, we'd highly recommend 6th Man Movers and would use them again for big moves. Muscle on muscle, hard-working, friendly guys!

Awesome move with these guys! Markins and Mark (the twins), Tim, and Austin did a great job. They were really efficient and were able to move everything without damage. We moved some really heavy and expensive furniture and they took a lot of care to make sure things were wrapped and handled correctly. There was one mark on the wall (rubbed out) and a lost plastic cap for a chair leg, but literally those were the only hiccups. Other than that, I wish they had more runners to have throughout the house as they were moving. I would definitely use 6th Man Movers again. All the guys were super friendly and had great personalities and “can do” attitudes.

Great move! First, Eric coordinated everything on the administrative side with estimating the move perfectly, communication was easy. Austin, Tim & Markins came on time and got to work, understood our logistics (what went to storage vs. temp housing since we are building). Dear 6th Man Movers: We could not have had better movers than we had yesterday!! Jaylon & Mark were very polite & respectful. They have good communication skills & are hard-workers. We were a difficult moving job that included lots of storage as well as furniture. Adding to the difficulty was a lot of clutter & dust at one of the locations. FYI: I would have had the clutter cleaned out, packed, dusted and organized to be more manageable if I had access to one of the properties earlier. But I did not. We used a forklift to move furniture & some of the storage up & down from the upper porches. There are two narrow, curved, dangerous stairways that are not to codes because the house was built in the 1800’s. Jaylon & Mark are strong, efficient & fast, while being careful at the same time. I recently used 6th Man Movers for my move. I'd use them again and would recommend them to friends. The sales rep was v nice and thorough about asking precisely what items I had to be moved. They are competitively priced. They only reason I'm docking a star is because of a slight mishap on the morning of my move. The crew arrived on time. I was excited because they looked very experienced and capable. Immediately they got to work wrapping up furniture and loading the truck. About 15 minutes into the job I get a call from one of the move coordinators saying that there was an issue with a crew at another job and they'd be sending that crew home for the day and sending my crew over to the other job. They assured me that another crew would be sent to my house within 15-30 mins, which was true. The other crew was nice, but the crew leader offered up that it was supposed to be their day off, though they were happy to be there (not exactly encouraging). And they seemed happy, but not quite as experienced as the first crew. They opted to wrap furniture on the truck instead of in the house, which at the time I didn't think anything of. Looking back this seems like an opportunity for damaged items. To be clear, nothing that we've seen so far has been damaged. But, in hindsight seems a bit sloppy. It was a long hot day and the three guys got the job done. Aside from a few small nicks in our walls moving some large furniture items up our stairwell, everything went pretty smooth. The crew leader made sure to photograph all the damages to send to HQ. I followed up with the office myself to make sure the damages would be taking care of. They offered to send a crew out to patch and paint any nicks and marks. Hopefully they'll follow through with that. So, solid movers. Just an unfortunate mishap in scheduling. Not sure exactly why my first crew was sent to another job. Time wasted and I got a subpar crew because of it.

Got a call the day before to confirm (as promised). The crew called and arrived in the three hour window they said they would. The guys were very considerate of my belongings and wrapped things with care. They also *RAN* from the truck to the house when they weren't carrying my belongings. Maybe they were trying to get a work out, but it was much appreciated considering I pay them by the hour. Check out process and payment (cash, check, card) went through the office when the team finished. When I move in Nashville this is the only company I'll use.

Experience was okay. It was a little stressful getting the group to find my apartment building...but it was done in a timely manner within the 30 minute window that was given to me. The move itself was done in a timely fashion. They were patient with me getting to know the whereabouts of my new building. Otherwise, a custom made poster frame was broken. Not sure if it broke in the Uhaul or if it was broken during the transition. So I was sad about that. Otherwise, they were good.

I have some very heavy and unwieldy furniture that the movers were able to wrangle smoothly down three flights of very cramped stairs inside the house. They did a spectacular job with the move and were all kinds of help when moving into the destination too. When all was said and done, they'd finished well ahead of schedule, which saved me on the bill. Will definitely recommend and use them again. Thanks, guys.
