I have used Good Stuff Moving in the past (multiple times) and recommended them to friends who have also used them multiple times. I do not recommend companies easily, but this company goes above and beyond. I just moved from MN to MA, and called Brent. He responded with a quick - "we can do it - let me find a driver" Jim, the Director of Ops did the drive. He is where I say they go above and beyond... On Monday, Jim and the crew had the house emptied in no time and loaded. We did a walk through, and coordinated our schedules. He then told me his itinerary and that he would text me each night. I was leaving Tuesday Morning and we both planned on being in MA on Wednesday evening. It went seamless. I heard from Jim each night, and again Thursday morning as he was headed to the new home with my furniture and goods. Like the loading of the truck, the unloading went just as smooth. In the end, not even a glass was cracked, everything was put where I wanted it, Jim was communicating the whole time, and the final price was within the quote. The company is great to work with, the employees are even better. Thanks for your service over the years GSM.

Good Stuff Moving did a great job of helping my parents move out of their home of 43 years! They were competent, efficient, and expertly moved all of the furniture with care, including a couple of larger pieces. There was no damage to the walls or the furniture. The guys were also personable and flexible - they offered to move some pieces around in my parents' new home after initial placement. Communication with the owner was good and the movers arrived on time. We highly recommend Good Stuff Moving!

These guys were great to work with. Prior to the move they came out and gave an estimate that turned out to be right on the money. On moving day (in the middle of a blizzard) they showed up right on time and took care to make sure that floors and furniture were protected, which was no easy feat given the weather. They completed the move efficiently and on time in spite of the conditions. I know the company recently changed ownership and that may have some implications for future performance, but our experience with them was excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

When a light fixture (one of a matched pair) was accidentally broken Jim came to inspect the damage, contacted the original vendor, purchased and installed suitable replacements for both lights. Some were large and awkward to hold while loving, but they treated each piece as if it was their own- with thoughtfulness and care. I used Good Stuff Movíng at the recommendation of a friend twice in 6 months. Both times the 2 person crews were awesome. Very nice guys and super hard working. The company was significantly less expensive than others that were suggested. I did nave to take apart and reassemble furniture on my own but totally worth it for the price. Chests of drawers were shrink wrapped and moved without being emptied just like more expensive companies. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

Good Stuff moved my household yesterday. I highly recommend them. They wrapped all the furniture and took great care in not putting "dings" on my walls. They had to move a curved glass 100 yr old china cabinet and it was unbelievable how much care they took. My crew was headed up by Ryan and those guys were the best. We were going to move on 11/23 out of state and the moving company we hired decided to be a no-show. We were desperate and called many companies with no success. My wife spoke with Paul at Good Stuff Moving and we were able to schedule 2 men for the next day. We searched and inquired with different moving companies prior to our move. I was incredibly uneasy about the quoting process of multiple companies as it was vague and their service times were extremely non-committal which would not have worked for me. I reached out to Good Stuff Moving and they called me back within an hour of my request. They scheduled a home visit and assessment/inventory and then provided a detailed quote and price range for the move/services. The day of the move they showed up on time (actually...15 minutes early!), and were absolutely wonderful throughout the move. They were careful, professional, kind, and hard working. I could not be more happy with the team that moved us and I was blown away by how efficient they were. My invoice was right in the price range I was quoted during my walk through/inventory. Great local company, great service, recommend completely and will be using again for any future needs.

The food is good. The menu is actually rather unique, which is saying something in South Minneapolis dining in 2021. The outdoor seating is great. Tons of veg and vegan options. Also lots of fried chicken options. Really versatile, quality restaurant.

I moved a small non-profit, e.g. desks, printer, shelving, etc. It took them shorter than they expected and they were incredibly professional, friendly, and the office staff were really responsive! Good Stuff Moving made my move from MN to WI extremely easy. They came out to my home to give me an in home estimate based on my belongings and were great to work with from the first call. Matty and Ryan were polite, efficient, and hard working. My belongings were supposed to be delivered the next morning, but they did the entire move in one day plus worked much quicker than expected and my total bill ended up being a good amount less than the quote. I've used a couple different moving companies in the past and would say this was my best experience, especially with the extra stress of crossing state lines. I had a great experience with Good Stuff Moving. I’ve moved a lot and this was one of the smoothest moving days I’ve had. They were on time and got the job done fast! I was only moving across town from a one bedroom apartment to another, but they completed the job in only 3 hours. I called a few places around town, and they seemed to be one of the most affordable as well. They only charged for the moving time from when the movers pull up to when they leave. There were no additional costs that a lot of moving companies tack on. Also they offer free boxes for moving if you are willing to go pick them up and drop them back off!

We hadn't used movers before and I was a little nervous. But the guys that came for the move were great! They were very friendly, cracking jokes and making me feel much more relaxed. They were very careful with everything and were quick and efficient. The quote we got was a few hundred lower than one of their competitors. Our final bill was even lower than that since we didn't need help setting things back up, so they unloaded pretty quickly. I would absolutely recommend Good Stuff for anyone looking for great quality movers!!

We needed to move from our apartment to our new home in the middle of winter. I called Good Stuff Moving on the advice of our RE agent and spoke with Jim. He was very informative and set everything up about a month in advance. The week before the move I went to their office and picked up a bunch of boxes and moving supplies, the majority of which was refundable. The guys in the office were very helpful in helping to load everything into my car. On the day of the move, the truck showed up right on time. The two movers were courteous, efficient and respectful of us and our stuff. We needed to make a stop at our storage unit to pick up more items, and when it looked like they were going to run out of room in the truck, they arranged to have a second truck come to get the rest at a discounted rate. At the house, the movers put everything exactly where we wanted and were again extremely efficient. The whole experience was very positive and I would recommend Good Stuff Moving to anybody looking for movers in the Twin Cities.

Great experience with a local move! They sent 3 guys over who were so professional and a pleasure to work with. Nothing was damaged, everything was wrapped and protected. When we called to get a quote they said it would be about 3 hours with 3 guys but did explain how much per hour it would be if they went over...and they did. It was 6 hours. HOWEVER, in their defense it could not have gone quicker and we already anticipated that it would have to be superhero’s moving us to get it done that fast. So keep that in mind but DEFINITELY hire this company. You will still save a few hundred dollars over anyone else but the real value is in how well the process went without any damage. For example, the last company that moved us damaged our dining table beyond repair and a few other things. So great job Good Stuff Moving!!!

Great experience with Good Stuff! The movers were professional and friendly. Best part about Good Stuff Movers is that you can use their boxes (after leaving deposit that is refunded when you return boxes) and they are very affordable comparing to 3 other moving companies that I called for quotes. They didn't go over the upper range of the quote. Very polite person who gives you quote and schedules the move (which was not the case with other companies I called). If we were to move again, we would definitely go with Good Stuff Movers!

If I could post 10 stars, I would. They were FANTASTIC! Usually when a company gives me a four-hour window, I expect to see them at 3 hours and 58 minutes into that window. That was not the case with Trevor & Mason. They were there 20 minutes early! They got the job done in the time specified and everything arrived in perfect condition. They were considerate with all the rules imposed by my new apartment building and did not try to take any short cuts. I even had time to unpack my stuff and get back to work without missing any important calls. Great job guys! I will definitely be using them again in the future. **EDIT** So it's been about 2 years and we bought our own place. First person we called was Good Stuff Moving. Brett was able to pull up our history and helped us make some informed decisions on how to best handle the move. As this was a bigger move, we took advantage of their free boxes. When we went to pick them up, Jim took the time to walk us through some extra prep tips and updates on handling some of our larger pieces like our Sleep-Number mattress. Their team showed up on time on the day of moving. They once again sent Trevor as he already had an idea of what to expect in the apartment. Trevor, Kevin, and Andrew all did a fantastic job to handle the move quickly and without any issues. I cannot recommend Good Stuff Moving enough! They are a great team that will earn every ounce of your trust!

Used them for moving in January. I had a very small apartment of stuff to move and most of the time it went well. The only issue I had was one of the movers talked too much to his buddy. Since he wasn't paying attention, he banged my office chair against the stairwell wall and cracked the leg, holdin the wheel canister. It wasn't as simple as just changing the canister, since I realized a crack formed in the hardware on the chair. The replacement wheel would always fall out, and after I recently decided I wanted to avoid a fall, the chair would need to be replaced. This chair was purchased in March 2018 and worked perfectly. Now I have to get a new chair, have it delivered, and assembled. I suggest you coach your employees to just focus on their moving jobs and keep their mouths shut while moving our items. If he had stayed focused and wasn't always running his mouth, he would not have banged into the stairwell wall, cracking the wheel base of my office chair.

Wish i could give more than 5 stars. We recently used Good Stuff Moving for our move from Apartment in Eagan, MN to our new house in Apple Valley, MN. The movers were all friendly, efficient, fast, and went out of their way. The price was also very affordable, Everything was wrapped well and very professional movers gave attention to all things. Plastic sheeting was placed on the new carpet in the new home. This level of service was beyond expectation; everything went smoothly; I recommend Good Stuff Moving. overall would highly recommend! We hired Good Stuff moving back in October to move from across the cities. They sent someone out to quote the house for free (I learned that a lot of companies charge for this). The individual as honest about the assessment and gave a few tips on how we could cut the price by a significant amount by moving a few piece of outdoor furniture ourselves. The quote ended up being the cheapest by far. The movers showed up exactly on time and had everything out of our old house in less time than expected. Moving into the new house was an even better process. They finished ahead of schedule and the final price came in even less than what they bid at the start of the process. Very happy with the service. Will definitely hire them again. We needed to keep our stuff in a truck over night due to overlapping closings and they were the only company that would allow us to leave our stuff on a truck rather than unloading into one of their warehouses. This was extremely important to us - no additional movement of our stuff and extra charges. Moved from 3 bedroom 1800 sqft house (took about 2.5 hours to move out) and moved us into the new house in less than 2 hours.

tl:dr If you’re shopping around for movers, I highly recommend Good Stuff Moving. Moving is stressful, no doubt about it.Searching for movers was quite the eye-opener when it came to cost. Yeah, more stress. After speaking with Brent and Jim at Good Stuff Moving and receiving a reasonable estimate, I realized this was going to be a good fit. No hidden fees, no charges for mileage or driving time, just a fair hourly rate. They arrived on time and were ready to go, and the two gentlemen who helped that day, CC and Race, were amazing. Considerate, professional, fast, and friendly, they treated my belongings with care. They were able to get everything out of an apartment in a very old building with a small elevator, and into the new space and within the time frame quoted. Excellent! Anticipating a sale of our MN house, we used one of the "big" movers to bring a load to our new home in FL. Ridiculous amount of paperwork and very expensive as we found out. But we didn't even consider using what we figured was a small local moving company, for fear of damage and reliability, etc. We thought wrong. On the advice of a friend we called Good Stuff to move the balance to three different locations, 2 storage sites and one load to Brainerd. Great experience! Flexible, cooperative, friendly, AND much more reasonably priced than the "big" company. So we then hired them to move a warehouse of very unusual items to FL, including gas pumps, neon lights, many pictures and even a dragster. All arrived in great condition and the guys were so good to work with. Highly recommend them! Thanks Good Stuff.

We decided to splurge on movers to move across town and it was TOTALLY worth it. It took us over 2 weeks to fill our garage with packed boxes and it took them an hour to empty it. They also knew how to take apart our hard to fit couch in order to move it too. We had 6 guys and they were all polite, fast, and easy to work with. I have not used Good Stuff for my move as of yet, but how they started out is worth more than five stars! Quick synopsis of my experience and a comparison: I left a voicemail at 4:55 PM and the recording clearly stated you will hear back with in an hour UNLESS it is after 4 PM in which case you will hear first thing in the morning. Well I got the call first thing as stated. The other companies ( including the big national companies ) had phone centers call back, not even an employee of the company. Brent when he called me said he would give me a 45 minute window for an estimator to meet me, and the estimator ( Matt ) called me and was prompt with his timing. I have scheduled my move with Good Stuff Moving, and I believe you should consider them as well! The estimate was fare and the quality of person / persons you are dealing with is very professional!! Now if you want to pay more to talk to a phone center and have an estimate done by a man or woman in a shirt and tie so you can pay more that is on you! Call them, you wont be unhappy.

We used Good Stuff Moving yesterday for our first move in 30 years. What a great experience! Our initial estimate was painless and came in at a very reasonable cost. We went in to their office to get packing boxes; the person helping us estimated our needs almost to the box. We payed a very reasonable deposit fee (much less than purchasing packing boxes) and will get a full refund when we return them after the move. He even gave us some free tape and stuffing paper that was returned by another customer. We loved the fact that they re-use all the boxes and will pass on other useful material (we'll definitely be donating back some supplies to "pay forward"). The two movers, Trevor and Matthew, arrived exactly on time. Included on the truck were all the wardrobe boxes that we needed as well as runners to protect our flooring. Trevor even disassembled our bed frame (not a small task). They loaded the truck very quickly but very carefully; we didn't have a nick or a ding on anything. Likewise, they were very quick unloading and setting up our bed. Throughout the entire move, both Trevor and Matthew were extremely friendly, polite and customer-care oriented. And best of all, our fee came in significantly lower than the estimate. It was very affordable and a terrific value!! More businesses, big and small, should tend to customer service as well as GSM! We can't say enough good things about this experience. We highly recommend GSM, and Trevor and Matthew in particular, to anyone moving, whether it's moving a student into a dorm, moving furnature for carpet installation or a full-scale home move like ours.

We moved in December, these guys came and helped load and organize the trailer. They brought plastic wrap to cover my just cleaned carpets and took care not to get anything dirty. They carefully packed everything so nothing would get scratched or damaged in transit over 300 miles away. This is over six months since we moved from Mpls to Des Moines with the help of Good Stuff Moving, but it's better late than never in reporting superior service. Hi, my name is Inga. My husband worked for Target for almost 25 years (bet Chicago and later Mpls), and was one of the thousands laid off in the big wave a couple of years ago. Fortunately, he got a new job in July 2014. Unfortunately with a new job move, it involves a whole move, which is usually a pain-in-the-butt (I've been through it a couple of times now). The first time, it was a "promotion" move from Chicago to Mpls, with the employer paying for everything. This time, it was us paying. We wanted to find a quality mover. We did get bids from the corporate company that moved us the first time (which, again, was paid by the former employer), and from many national companies that you have heard of but which I don't want to mention here, as I'm not slamming any other company. Then we wanted to find local businesses. After our own family's layoff situation, we were sensitive to the fact that many other companies are getting "screwed over" (pardon my French) in this economy too. I blindly googled local Mpls movers, and got a few names. The name "Good Stuff Moving" popped up. I called, and blast to the past: a real person answered the phone! A real person then came over to our house for a first-person look at what they were moving, to give us a very good quote. (Other companies, I must add, just had us fill out online applications with us quoting how many rooms we had, weight of furniture, etc.) While I do think there's something to be said for online quoting, in a situation like this, it's always good to have a company rep come out and survey the situation. Very few other companies wanted to do this. We decided to go with Good Stuff Moving. In a way, it was a vote for something unknown to us, but based on our first-person experience with them (not to mention quite a few great reviews online recommending this company). Flash forward to the moving day: They sent over a huge crew of young, mature men. They went so fast, that I couldn't keep up with them. I had expected to have a couple of hours to finish up some packing up of boxes. But they beat me to it! I did have one minor situation where they left, and I found one thing that wasn't put on the truck due to a minor communication gaffe. I was in tears on the phone with the company owner, (the tears about moving, not the minor thing), but I couldn't help it: Saying goodbye to Mpls like this was crappy, but the guy on the phone had an immediate solution to the minor situation and sent a mini-truck to followup with the thing we couldn't fit in my car for no charge. I am sorry it took me months to write this. As you can guess, a move includes unpacking at our new location, getting kids located to new schools, and finding a new job (just for me). I just got a job and start this coming week. Finally, everything's coming together, and part of the reason for our smooth transition to Des Moines was the excellent professionalism of Good Stuff Moving from the owner/key boss all the way down the line. Thank you so much - please use them , especially if you have to pay for this all yourself and can't expense it to your employer or a corporate account, etc.
