I am disabled (I use a walker and sometimes a wheelchair) and was moving into my girlfriend & my first place together. We are members of the LGBTQ+ community, and were nervous about looking for movers who would be respectful of us. So it was twice as important to us to find the right people. The folks at Hernia Movers are a class act. Kind, courteous, accommodating. They came in, moved swiftly and intentionally, and treated us as if we were any other paying customer, just as it should be. Asked if we wanted this cabinet centered here or that table moved an inch this way for spacing purposes. They said they work with designers and are mindful of aesthetics. In addition, they moved my beloved wheelchair, and were extremely careful with it. You can tell this is what they do, and they do it well. Thank you, Hernia Movers for making the stressful process that is moving easy. Job VERY well done!

I used Hernia Movers for the first time earlier this month to move my parents from a condo to an apartment. I had an excellent experience. They were able to meet my requested moving date, arrived right on time, were very professional and careful with my parents property and the move took one hour less than estimated. Completely satisfied.

These guys were great! They disassembled and moved all of our furniture, brought it to our new house, and had it put together in under three hours. They even grabbed a few additional items for us. The movers were incredibly courteous and helpful. Definitely recommend and will use again.

My son recommended I hire Hernia Movers to handle his move from Menomonee Falls to an apartment in Wauwatosa. At first I was hesitant about hiring a moving firm located near the Riverwest area of Milwaukee as it looked to be quite a distance away from his apartment in the Falls. Hiring Hernia Movers was the best decision I could have made. Dave, their manager, gave me an estimate based on the amount of furniture that was to be moved and the number of boxes plus the travel time involved from the truck leaving their offices to its return to the offices after completing the move. Hernia has experience in being able to get to a destination quickly and are familiar with the best routes to take from their offices. Based on the list of items I supplied, he suggested a two-man crew and gave me a range of what the move most likely would cost. His estimate was right on target. The two men from Hernia were very professional, helpful and friendly. They were extremely careful in the handling of the furniture. My son and his girlfriend were totally pleased with Hernia Movers!

2 Men and a Truck could not move my massive sectional couch into my condo after I had someone come to my house to determine if it could or could not be moved. I was told the job could be done and could be done through a balcony, since the couch was too long to fit through the door in my hallway. So on move in day when the movers refused to try and move the couch I was left stressed out and out of options. I was then quickly referred to not only by my realtor but also other moving companies in the Milwaukee area that Hernia Movers could get the job done. And let me say they did just that. Not to say this was an easy task because it certainly was not moving a couple hundred pound 10' section and another 9' section through a small balcony door, but the guys made it happen professionally, quickly, and with quality. I can't thank them enough!!!

We’ve used Hernia 5 times in 15 years and have always had great experiences. The last two times were for moves of 70 miles. The people we worked with were fantastic! After finishing the move this last week, we could not find a $700 item. We never once suspected any foul play. We called Hernia the next morning and they discovered the item was in their truck but it got hidden by moving blankets. Simple human error for a multi-location move. Fast forward a couple days, and we have received the item. It was expertly packed, way nicer than I would have done, and shipped to our place. Simple. Easy. No hesitation from Hernia Movers to make things right. I cannot imagine working with better people than we’ve experienced with Hernia Movers. Highly recommended!

Hernia was able to fit me in within 24 hours for a bulky item move. I waited for 4 days for a quote from another company, and I don't have time for that! So I called up Hernia, was given a quote immediately, and booked their service right away. The movers were polite, friendly and very careful with the item and with the houses, making sure nothing got scratched or damaged. Would definitely recommend and use again.

I've used Hernia a couple times for moving - once for moving larger items to my new house and once for their "muscle for hire" service to move a heavy treadmill to my basement. They did a great job, listened to what I wanted and have personable staff that came on time or early depending on how their day looked (with notice given to me). If you are looking at muscle for hire just be aware that there is a 1 hour minimum charge, which may be more time than necessary for the job you need done.

I've used Hernia 3 times now, and I've been very happy every time. Professional, safe, they charge what they say they will without surprises. They often book up pretty far in advance, so be sure to plan ahead to get them.

My movers ended up having to take apart my bed frame to be able to move it through some narrow stairways, but they made sure to communicate that with me and then reconstructed it for me at the new place. They were also transparent about the cost and didn't charge me for the ~15 minutes where they were waiting to receive some equipment they needed. I ended up paying for 2.5 hours even though I was expecting to pay for the full 3. Highly recommend!

After a rocky start to my moving day, Hernia movers finished it with a bang. Abdul and Jack were so kind and efficient, had my entire haul to my 3rd floor walk up in less than an hour! I've heard the best things about this company and its all true. Will hire again!

Excellent service! The two movers who unloaded my truck were Mark and Jackson and they did a phenomenal job! They unloaded my u-haul much faster then expected and were careful with my things. Despite water damage to some of my items from a leaky u-haul, they took extra care with the wet boxes so they were moved up to my apartment safely so nothing was broken. They had a positive attitude and were happy to move all my stuff into the appropriate rooms prior to leaving. I would strongly recommend this company.

I have been wary of trying local moving companies (due to the obvious horror stories out there). Recently moved from one apartment to another with a decent amount of furniture and used Hernia movers. I decided to give this company a shot due to the reviews here, and most movers are pretty similarly priced. I was able to get a quote and book over email which was nice, and the movers came a bit earlier than their stated time (fine by me!). Sam and Jackson were kind, careful, while still being quick. They came well prepared with all the right equipment to move bigger furniture much safer and easier than I would have. There was a small mix up in hourly rate that I noticed after the move, but I contacted David in the office who cleared this up same day which I appreciated. Would use again in the future and encourage others to do the same.

Used Hernia to move us across town. Best decision ever. We were high anxiety getting ready to move, as soon as they showed up and I gave them a quick tour we were able to relax because you could tell right away they were going to take care of everything and the worry of moving was off our shoulders. Top it off they came under budget for the move which was an awesome bonus. If I move again they will be my first call.

We had Tim and Jerry doing the moving for us recently and these guys did a spectacular job! They worked quickly efficiently and took care of our items. For the price I just don't think you're going to get much better service. This is the second time we have used hernia Movers and would recommend them highly.

Moving sucks...but with Hernia Movers it wasn't so bad!! Dave was excellent at communicating with me about the estimate, moving tips and what to expect. I received a call the night before to confirm the move and the movers arrived the next morning promptly as promised. The movers, Zach and Kane were AMAZING!! They took great care of my belongings, which included some very valuable antiques. Everything arrived in perfect condition and they asked if I needed any help moving the large pieces around before they left. We did not have a ton of money for a move, so we moved all the little stuff ourselves and had Hernia Movers move the big stuff. The two movers were excellent! They worked incredibly fast and it was an hourly rate, so all their hard work really benefited us. This is the second time we used Hernia Movers for a local move and I have been impressed both times. Highly recommended.

Updated: I've hired Hernia three times over the last few years, and all of them have been awesome. My most recent was with Jim, Aziz, and Kane. They were on time, professional, and fast. Kane even remembered me because he helped me the last time I hired Hernia! They charge by the hour in 15min increments. I say this because i really appreciated how they were always trying to move as quick and efficiently as possible; I NEVER felt like they were trying to run the clock. I highly recommend Hernia for your next move!!

These guys were great! They finished their first job early so they called and asked if we wanted to be pushed up. They were very efficient, hard working, and polite (even to our in-the-way dog). When they couldn’t get the bed frame up the stairs of our new place, they quickly switched gears and brought it up via a second story balcony. Would absolutely use their services again and recommend to a friend!

I have used Hernia for my past 3 moves. We had additional items that wouldn't quite fit but the movers did their best to try and we will use them again to finish up. Every crew (Bill, Mike, Stew, Jackson, Nate & David) we've had has been hard-working, friendly, helpful and genuinely great to work with. Bill helped us organize our storage unit to ensure everything would fit, which in turn saved us from having to get an additional unit. We have a ton of furniture and fragile items and they've never damaged or scratched a single thing. I can't say enough about how impressed I am with this company. I've moved quite a bit and no company has come close to Hernia movers.

Jackson and Sam did an excellent job. Courteous, professional, and energetic in their work. We were impressed with how easily they were able to bend, lift, and carry multiple boxes with such ease. For larger items, they efficiently packed it in to an enormous box, which any cat would be envious of. They were worked hard, and took great care handling our stuff. The movers ( Will and Alex) were very patient with my mother as they moved her to a senior apartment from the Green Bay Area. . It was an extremely hectic day. They arrived on time, did not rush my mother, were extremely polite, and delivered her goods without any scratches/damage. I would definitely recommend them.

I have used this company a couple times and they have been great every time. Call 20-30 minutes before arriving, get to work right away, are careful with your items and try and work with you if something is going to be difficult to move in or out of the building and super friendly/responsive. Only drawback is that they charge you for the time to come to your place and to leave your place to get back to the office at the full rate - not a half rate or anything. Not sure if that is normal, but wasn't the biggest fan. Otherwise, great company!

Will went above and beyond for me. He took pictures of all my items and emailed them. This saved my daughter making a trip during COVID. To go to the storage and take pictures. He also gave me some great advice on how to ship my items from WI to Maine. I highly recommend this company.

I can't say anything bad about these guys. I'm 53 yrs old and this might be the third time I have ever written a review. We moved from Milw to BigBend on July 17th. Yeah, that was the only 90 degree day since September 2013! We had a cooler full of ice and Gatorade ready, and the boys ($Bill, Jerry, Brian.s., Marq, and Cody) really appreciated it. These young men were not only excellent movers, but worked like an athletic team. If my back wasn't bad, I'd see if I could work with them. They worked so well together and actually seemed to be having a good time. I think that the other thing that made a stressfull situation--moving--go so seamlessly, was having Lance Kehoe come to our house ahead of time for an estimate. He was dead-on with the 5guys and two trucks. We had estimates from 5 companies, Hernia was second cheapest, and most recommended by friends and family. I will never move again!.....but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hernia. Also, if I were starting a moving company.........I would definitely go after the 5 guys mentioned.....

My wife, son and I moved from the city of Milwaukee to Sheboygan County in September of 2015. I apologize for not writing this review sooner, but I've been waiting for Star Wars to come out. Now that it has I've freed up some time to complete this task. We thoroughly enjoyed the service provided by Hernia Movers. There were problems with our move date due to incompetence by our mortgage lender who will remain nameless (but does rhyme with Bells Margo). We were forced to adjust our move date twice. The office at Hernia were not only accommodating, but sympathetic to the stupidity we had to endure. On move day we were greeted, on time, by our moving team. The leader of the duo, Bill, was a tall gangling man with an 80's athlete pencil thin mustache and the poise of a longshore fisherman. He calmly surveyed the scene of boxes, trash, and more trash with steely eyes tucked beneath a baseball cap. He obviously had more coffee than I had, and was able to process what was needed quickly. His partner, Cody, was shorter in stature, but not in girth. He was a strong young man who followed Bill’s lead in near silence and, what appeared to be, little effort. Cody was in wonderful shape, and my wife had to remind me to stop staring on more than one occasion. The number of boxes that he carried at one time was always one more than I would have been capable of. No more, no less. His step was light and sure, and his arms pulsed while controlling the weight of boxes filled with coffee mugs, hair care products, and old copies of Hustler. Bill and Cody, the Hernia Movers Wild West Show, completed the load-up in slightly more time than it took me to go to Sil’s (IT WILL ALWAYS BE SIL’S!) for mini-donuts. The off-load took far less and the entire move, excluding the drive, was completed in 80’s action movie montague time. I highly recommend Hernia Movers and their moving team of Bill and Cody (yes, that really was their actual names). I appreciate all their effort, and wish them the very best this holiday season and in the new year.

I purchased a huge and heavy desk from ReStore . Had it been one inch larger it would not have fit in my house. The guys from Hernia got it in without it so much as even touching a walk or door frame. My friends and I never could have done this.
