I started using extra space a couple of months ago and I do not regret it. It has been a joy simple experience as Susie and Beth both have phenomenal customer service and are extremely kind individuals. I haven’t had one issue in four months, although my space will soon no longer be needed I will never forget the experience and hope easy they made it for me. If you’re looking for storage space these guys should be your go to!

I just moved in and what a difference! This is storage heaven. I never thought you could get a good experience when dealing with storage. Beth was excellent and so helpful. She answers all my questions and concerns. Their team is just exceptional. There is al always someone there. I’m thrilled with the premises, as well as the quality of customer service that came with it. The place is clean and neat, and their hours are so convenient because you can go until 10 pm!! If you have to work or have kids, this is a game-changer. They have great carts, which usually suck at other places, but most important its that I feel safe when going by myself.

I have had the best experience using this Extra Space Storage! The managers go above and beyond to make sure you are having a comfortable and safe experience. I was moving alone and needed a storage unit for about a month. As a 21 year old girl moving alone for the first time, feeling safe was a priority to me. Before coming to this location, I had a very negative experience with safety at another storage space location where the management overall made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I am so lucky I found this location because of how amazing and helpful the management has been. From the first second I stepped on the lot, they were there to help me figure out whatever was needed. Susie (I believe that is her name!) even directly called me the first time I got there to help me find where my unit was and where carts were. WOW! Thank you to everyone at this extra space storage. If you’re thinking of using this location. DO IT!

However, the Hollywood Extra Space location is always a pleasure, Beth and also Susie are always available, but also KIND! When dealing with storage it can be difficult to work with the on-site staff, if there is anyone on site at all! I get a chill sense from Susie and Beth that settles any issues before they are even addressed. they always take care of me. They work hard. I even see them walking the halls sweeping up. Love this place. Beth the associate on shift came out And is totally awesome. Easy access for the car when you come in. Parking along most of the perimeter of the storage center. Just great, clean and friendly. Property is open till 10 so you have more than enough time to go after work if you work 9 to 5.

I’ve been looking through a lot of different brands of public storage and from the moment I got to this specific location off of Santa Monica and Van Ness I knew it was the right place the main reason I chose extra space storage is because I’m looking for something nice and clean and also somewhere I feel comfortable storing my valuable items there is an assistant manager named Beth she is one of if not the best employees I’ve seen anywhere at a storage facility and I just want to commend her for her hospitality and her knowledge to answer any and all of my questions I hope she becomes that manager very soon because she deserves every bit of that position.

Could not recommend this place enough. I needed storage for a month while I moved out of one place and my new place was being renovated. Susie was so accommodating. Originally I had booked a smaller unit and it was on the second floor. She got me a bigger unit on the first floor and there was a first month special. She was super communicative and very helpful. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I called on a whim and ended up signing up the same day. From the first call to showing up on property the customer service was more than what I have come to expect from businesses. Beth went over all the details of the property and the terms when I arrived, which she did so while on her lunch break and did it all with a smile. It says a lot about a place where their employees are genuinely happy to be there rather than appear to be...I felt absolutely comfortable and had no worries inquiring about anything. Beth even offered and attempted to help fix my lock that I couldn’t manage to reset. (Again while on her lunch break and personal time , something not required or expected but very much so appreciated. It’s nice to know that the pandemic hasn’t effected everything especially in the customer service department. I would definitely recommend this location to others and would suggest it as my first choice. Not to mention but am, the first month is free! Again couldn’t ask for a better experience.

The storage game has changed! Entirely dedicated and helpful staff at multiple locations willing to help you get into any other extraspace storage unit. This company and its people are awesome. The space itself is extremely well kept, fresh paint, fresh refreshed floors, clean massive dent free unit. Door rolled easily without struggle. Temperature is nice. No issues with keypads/entry/exit. Best of all is the HOURS. 10pm!!!!!! go AFTER WORK!! absolutely amazing new take on storage. Been storing at public storage since the 80's and I don't think I'll ever go back. Pricing was fair and may not be the cheapest but with 10pm gate hours makes it worth paying almost double in my opinion. Will definitely rent from again as I had 0 issues taking them up on their no obligation hassle free first month free deal while I was moving. Absolutely won a life long customer here with how they handled everything. While your calling around getting quotes, please take a moment and think about how a 10pm access cutoff would change things. Absolute life saver for me. Rent from Extra Space, you wont be sorry. -honest personal review, not paid or compensated in any way, just honestly blown away with the entire process from start to end.

This is a very clean facility with convenient access from parking to elevator to storage unit. The carts are new and roll smoothly too! Suzy was awesome and both she and Celine at the Vine St location helped accommodate the transfer of my storage rental to this location. I even got a slightly better price! Much Thanks to both of them. Recommend highly!!! Update 2.4.2022 - Finally moved out and the staff was as friendly as ever and the facility is still clean and convenient to access. Would be staying, but downsizing to a smaller unit and wasn't any available at this location at this time. Wouldn't mind at all coming back in the future!!

I have dealt with Ms. Susie for the past 4-5 years! This woman has been so professional and dedicated to calling me prior to my due date... About 2 years ago I resign from my job to complete my Bachelor's in psychology and have struggled at the end of the semester due to financial aid and specially Covid-19. I feel behind for about 2 months which almost resulted in my unit being put into auction... She and Beth were very patient with me and went above and beyond staying in touch with me and assuring my things were okay! I've seen many units with RED locks recently and in no way does it seem like these ladies are looking to make it more difficult for guest during these hard times!!! I am happy to have my things at this facility with authentically professional and helpful people.

It is the cleanest and most convenient storage place ever. Susie was beyond professional and truly was wonderful. The idea of the storage experience has been lower 3-5 out of 10 in at 2 other places. This place is a 10. The only place to store your stuff in LA.

While I appreciate that the front office room is clean and bright, and that the staff seems friendly and looks to be helpful, I still have reservations about ESS. That they increase the price every few months ('it's out of our control'), it casts a big shadow on my satisfaction. When you've been a good customer for years, why alienate them? I've never had a good answer why they increase 10-15% or more every few months. It's too expensive. The units themselves are adequate, if the hallways aren't all that well-lit. Depending on where your unit is, there can be a long dolly ride away before you reach the elevator. The retail portion is obviously convenience-based pricing. So why stay? Inertia. It's a pain to move, and they know it. And ESS counts on their customers to be too busy or lazy or unaware to do something about it. My experience here has been mostly OK, with the exception of the time a big rain storm hit the area and many units flooded. To be clear, the legally responsible party was a national cell phone carrier that had leased space on the roof (?) of this Extra Space, and due to that, the flooded was blamed. It was horrific dealing with that legal team - and the negotiated financial award took way too long to track down. I never quite got how ESS leased space on top of the space they were already leasing.
