Great experience with both Nathan and Nicholas. I originally hired them via the Goodwill donation recommendation and had only planned for a single item pickup that they kindly extended to taking a lot more items from me and helped me even bring a piece of a couch up to my unit from a storage unit below. They were courteous and very efficient and did not even ask me for a tip though I was pleased to add it onto their bill which was an enormous savings from what a typical move service I have always used would cost. Highly recommend and great cause too!

Anderson & Nate arrived early and were very efficient. Move of heavy furniture was budgeted for 2 hours including drive time, but completed in 1 hour and even more importantly with extreme care for our belongings. Thanks guys. Highly recommend.

We had to change our reservations last minute to a few hours later and they were very accommodating. There's a small fee but rightfully so. They were also very quick and don't mess around with efficiency. That said, if you have fragile things like a computer monitor or plants, voice this out or do it yourself because they're very go go go.

Second time using the hunks, was quoted a 4-6 hour job (not a problem) and our crew of 3 hunks packed our 1 bedroom, stopped at our storage unit to load more stuff, and emptied the truck at our new apartment in just over 2 hours. This was the most effortless, stress-free project I've had in a very long time. There was less than 24 hours from my original contact for an estimate to the trash, junk and donatables being hauled away from my dad's 90 year old house. Saul and his team, Blake and Cam, were polite, professional and respectful. From start to finish, this has been one of the best moving experiences I’ve ever had. The quote was reasonable and they still went under the price quoted. The appointment process is easy. They walk you through everything and follow up with you before and the day of your move. We got Movers Mo and Nate G for the day and they were quick and efficient! They used a technique I’ve never seen employed before to get things in and out efficiently and I was really blown away at how smart these two were about moving. After waiting around all day for the charity furniture pickup--that never came.... I have also used the Central Houston College Hunks for several local moves! I had furniture moving to be done inside and half a carport full of construction material to be removed. Two cheerful, strong guys came in and moved the furniture with ease - it was heavy! The garbage pickup was a large load, but it took them very little time. Carport is clean and swept and I'm so happy. It was fun "working" with them. They worked and I told them what I needed. They were able to schedule me within a few days of needing to move. They were by far the best value service in the Houston area. Mo and Brandon showed up on time and confirmed the time of arrival the day before and let me know that morning when they were on the way. I had just a few pieces of large furniture to move out of my apartment and into a town home. They were incredibly efficient getting the furniture protected in moving blankets and shrink wrap to prevent any damage to both the furniture and walls (and rain that morning). Brandon and Mo were incredibly professional the entire time and made the moving experience incredibly helpful. I highly recommend this company to any one in the Houston area. Professional in all aspects of business. Professional communication prior to the move, professional movers and just doing business. Next time I move, I will give them a call for sure.

Professional, polite, engaging, and enthusiastic- I was very impressed with the team who showed up this morning. Saul, Hector, and Charles took care of us, and did an excellent job! They called to confirm, then called to let us know when they’d arrive. They arrived and we showed them what we needed taken, in several rooms and in our garage. They asked a few pertinent questions and then got right to work. It took them less than an hour to clear it all out, and then they were on their way. We will highly recommend to anyone who needs appliance removal, junk removal, or donation pick up! EDIT: We were so inspired by our first great experience, so we found another stack of junk to get rid of. We scheduled in the website last night, and they showed up this morning to haul it away. This time we had Eduardo and his team, and they were fantastic. It took them about ten minutes to take the stuff? Then they swept and the driveway looks perfect.

I was moving within my building to a different unit and needed someone to help me move just my furniture / heavy items. After calling about five different moving companies, I remembered seeing a sign for College H.U.N.K.S. while walking around my neighborhood. They had the most reasonable price for the job - they were the only people who didn't charge a "trip fee" - makes sense since I was just moving in the same building (most companies tried to charge me this anyway). I filled out a form about a week before the move, promptly got a call and booked the service. I got a follow-up call the day before, and the arrival window was scheduled between 8 and 10. Saul and Brandon called me the morning of the move promptly at 8 and arrived shortly thereafter. They did a FANTASTIC job - I have valuable furniture which I instructed them to be extra careful with, and they wrapped everything in blankets and diligently moved it upstairs. Despite the extra precautions, they worked as quickly and efficiently to ensure I was only going to pay the two hour minimum for labor. These guys were super friendly, thorough and professional. The last time I moved, I hired a well-known moving company you've probably seen around (hint: their name has a number and "men" in it). Despite booking them a month in advance, they forgot about me the day of, showed up two hours late, scratched my expensive chairs despite me telling them to be extra careful, and were rude when I confronted them about the scratches on said chairs. When you compare this experience to the one I just had with College H.U.N.K.S., it makes these guys a NO-BRAINER...great value and service...will definitely be giving College H.U.N.K.S. a call next time I move. Thanks again Brandon and Saul for making a challenging task a bit easier!

Nate, Kevin, and Alex were fantastic! I had a queen sized mattress, box spring, large sofa, and chair. They were in and out within 20 minutes. They were a little late from the agreed upon time because they got caught by a train, but Nate was super communicative and it wasn’t an issue. Would definitely recommend them.

I needed couches taken immediately due to furniture being delivered the next day. It was nice that they were able to come that very day. I was a little surprised at the cost ($350), but I guess you pay more for convenience. I had tried a donation company before them, but they didn't accept my couches. I had expected them to cover their shoes like it stated in the video I was sent on "what to expect" and clean up after themselves, but that didn't happen. It was raining so they couldn't help that their shoes were wet, but there was some wet dirty spots tracked in on the tile that I cleaned afterwards. Not a big deal to me, but it you are stating in a video you send to customers that you will cover your shoes and clean then I expect that. So for the high price and not doing what they say they do I dropped a star.

Highly recommend this service if you need something bigger recycled, donated, or thrown away. They also provide moving services but did not realize it until they showed up. The two men that showed up, Roger and Brandon, called beforehand multiple times to give me updates on their arrival time and were not late. They were super nice, presentable, and very quick. They were in and out in under 20 minutes. My only reservation is the price tag - extremely pricey, but it was worth it to not have to worry about hauling all of this stuff ourselves.

As a very particular senior citizen with a high level of expectations, I found that the team of Mo, Marcus, and Connor sent by College Hunks to move my 30+ years of "treasures" met all of the marks. My treasures had to be moved from one fully packed storage unit to another of an almost identical size. These treasures included tools, metal file cabinets, and a number of heavy items. Many of the items were not in containers or boxes and were simply "thrown in" or strewn along the floors. 30+ years of settled dust covered everything. After Mo, Marcus, and Connor's on time arrival at our designated meeting spot, Mo stepped up, introduced himself, and assured me that they would take care of the move. This team of 3 worked in the baking hot sun for 3+ hours straight without taking a break to move my belongings as efficiently and quickly as possible. This helped greatly in keeping the expenses of the move down. They worked together well. All of my belongings were moved intact and were placed so that everything was much more accessible than was possible in the old storage unit. This move would not have been possible without Mo, Marcus, and Connor. What was once a daunting task was completed in an afternoon thanks to these guys. I will definitely use them again as the need arises.

Meco, Daniel and Ed were fantastic! I had a storage unit with belongings in it that I could not find a place for in my new home. I had hopes of selling/donating the items and trashing the rest but after months of my items sitting in the storage unit and paying a hefty monthly rental fee ($200+/month) I wanted to take action to reduce my monthly expenses in order to pay off debts and build up savings. I came up with a plan to take pictures of all the items, set up accounts on a few of the self-prepared 'garage selling' platforms, go back and forth to the storage unit to gather sold items, find a service to accept the donated items and pick them up or rent a truck myself to load and drop off, and rent a truck to load the items not wanted so I could trash...after finding a place to dispose of the items legally and responsibly (I also had a sofa and electronic items that were broken). If that was as exhausting to read as it was for me to type 😖 lets imagine what the experience would have been like! Well I imagined and didn't want to do it. Here is were College Hunks Hauling Junk comes in. After reviewing their company and learning they would load the items, donate what they could and recycle the rest, I was all in. Three very pleasant, professional young men (Meco, Daniel and Ed) gathered my things from my first floor storage unit, loaded their truck in less than 30 minutes and left me with a completely empty and clean unit. Best $400+ dollars spent.. considering the time and stress I've spared and the money I will save going forward since I no longer have the storage rental fee to pay! Impressed and grateful for the service..thank you!

They were very professional. Took only a few minutes to get the job done. The only thing I didn't like was they were supposed to be there between 9-11 but didn't actually get there until after one. They did keep calling to to tell me they would be there in "15 minutes" but took a while to get there. Once they did make it they got the job done quickly. I would use them again.

Great option for people who are downsizing or moving. We got rid of about 70% our belongings, and these guys picked up all the stuff we couldn't sell, give away, or donate. They took old exercise equipment, a terribly beat up couch, furniture, our entire collection of e-waste and old light bulbs, and a random assortment of clothes, shoes, kitchen accoutrements, and linens. The service was excellent. I initially called for a quote and they sent a nice professional man, Dave, to give me an estimate before sending out a team. Dave came by less than two hours later. He throughly explained the quote to me, and gave me additional quotes for a smaller amount of stuff. The quotes weren't cheap, but we needed to move quickly, so I decided to give away and donate as much of the furniture as possible before they came back out. Dave gave me his card and told me to call him when I'd pared my junk down to schedule a pickup. I called on a Saturday and had a team of 3 to come pick up the remaining items the following Monday morning (they do moves on weekends rather than junk pickups). I lived in a 4 story town home. The guys filled a truck and made it out wih everything in about 40 minutes. The didn't scrape the walls, or beat up the furniture on the way out. They carefully arranged my old belongs in the truck to fit as much as possible. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the service, responsiveness, and promptness. I can't think of a single bad thing to say about the company, the employees, or my experience with either. Yes, it's somewhat expensive to have your junk removed and disposed of properly, but you're paying for unbelievably fast removal and the convenience of not having to do these things yourself. Side note: If you're thinking about going with the 1800 Junk people, get a quote from the College Hunks too. My initial quotes were similar, but Dave agreed to match and beat the competitors.
