Larry and the crew were very hard working and very professional as they packed my cabinets, tv & furniture very carefully with padded blankets, and cello wrap to endure my stuff didn’t get damaged. Also, to ensure a smooth move Larry came out the day before to see how much stuff i had to ensure they had enough workers and realized i needed 2 truck for the move. Thank goodness we had two trucks otherwise they would have to do two trips. Prices were reasonable considering all the stairs they had to climb at both locations.

Dwayne and his crew at Kama’aina movers were super fast, friendly, and strong! I recently moved islands and had shipped a container of my things to Oahu. I called a few days before and was able to get a quote and reservation within minutes. After taking days to move from my last place I was so pleased to find that Dwayne and his partners were able to unload the container and get everything into my new upstairs unit within a couple hours! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for some help and will absolutely use their services in the future!

Highly recommended. This is our third time utilizing Kamaaina Movers, and I always recommend them to friends/family. Dwayne, the owner, is a true pro, and cares that the job is done right. This time, we had an especially big job and in addition to moving, his team even re-assembled our beds and installed our new washer. Unfortunately the dryer wouldn’t fit in the space (by a few milimeters), but I was pleasantly surprised that he called the next day and offered to trim the washer pan to make it fit. This kind of customer service is unheard of! He directed his crew to wrap all of our glass top furniture carefully, and nothing was damaged. That’s 3 out of 3 moves with nothing damaged. You can tell he takes pride in his work!

Kamaaina Movers were so awesome! They were able to accommodate my last minute request to move a bed I purchased from a friend. They were able to disassemble the bed from my friend's apartment and reassemble it in my home. They were also able to accommodate my last minute request in assisting my friend from moving her items from her apartment to her home. I called with short notice and they were able to fit me in where I had problems with other companies. They weren't just on time the were actually early. We packed and wrapped most of our stuff before hand but Kamaaina Movers took the extra steps wrapping our furniture. They were fast and efficient. They had a tough job moving us into a 4 story walk up but it didn't slow them down one bit and they still moved fast. Bottom line they moved fast with no damage to our stuff and for well under the cost of competitors. Professional job at a great cost!

They showed up exactly on time and ready to work right away. It was surprising the care taken with our furniture and how well everything was wrapped using a system based aproach to moving and the owner made sure to keep them working. "They can stop for a drink when they finished" said the owner when I offered the crew drinks of water. I searched for moving company extensively and of the six moving companies, Kamaaina movers had the best rate and service. We used their service for two different moves. One for (3bd/2bath) and for our tenant (1bed/1bath). I was impress with the quality of service that Larry and his team provided. Larry was available ALL the time to answer any of my questions or concerns prior to the move. I needed to switch dates and that was no problem for them. Larry also gave me a quote prior to the move which was accurate. On the day of the move, Larry and his team was punctual, efficient and worked without a rest. I will be moving again in a year and this time, I no longer need to search for a mover! I will definitely call Larry again.

I can't say enough about how Larry and his crew are excellent at their job. I have used Larry's services twice now, and I would definitely use him again for my next move or any other type of move-related job, like how he did today. My old bed broke so I ordered a new one from Lowe's. Larry met me at the Lowe's in Iwilei and transported it back to my apartment where he and his worker assembled it. It wasn't as easy as he thought. The bed turned out to be real complicated but Larry worked as fast as he could and did a great job of assembling it. My only regret is that I didn't have enough cash in hand to give his and his worker a good tip! The first time I used Larry was for my big move from my old apartment in McCully to my new one in Downtown Honolulu. He was punctual, courteous, fast, and hard working. His fee is fair. He has a great sense of humor and I highly recommend him to anyone who needs movers!

Larry and 2 crew delivered a new Organix mattress to my home today, installed it, and took the old mattress away and they did a fantastic job! All of them were very friendly, respectful (took their shoes off in the home, greeted/joked with my family members and me), fast/efficient, worked well as a team, and very very professional. They were also very flexible with the time and had good communication with me before delivery day and during. This is my first time with the company but I highly recommend them.

Kamaaina Movers helped us move our learning center from one location to another. We had a whole lot of stuff including so many boxes of heavy books. The move took several hours and during that entire time Duane and his men were courteous, helpful and worked tirelessly and efficiently. Over the past several years we've used Kamaaina Movers for smaller jobs and they are always consistently good. We really appreciated their work and would recommend them highly.

By far the best moving company I've worked with! I loved them so much that I've used them for 2 moves and even had them help me unload and assemble items from a crate which by the way was NOT easy at all. On top of that they went Above and beyond because Dwayne fit me into his schedule last minute so they helped me unload and begin to assemble then they rushed to another job and then came back to finish the job! I can't rave enough about my experience with Dwayne and his crew because they have helped me so much and each time was a great experience from start to finish. Amazing service from start to finish! From the first phone call all the way through our very efficient move, Duane (and his crew) provided outstanding service. Duane was able to find a time that worked well for us and took the time to provide a thorough quote based on his questions regarding our furnishings. They showed up at precisely the time we were expecting and Duane plus a crew of three (total of four people) got to work immediately. They worked quickly and carefully. They wrapped all of our furniture and disassembled items as appropriate. They had our 2 bedroom upstairs condo plus garage all packed up and onto the truck in just over an hour. They followed us to our new place and unloaded efficiently. They were patient and courteous as we directed them to where to place our furnishings. After everything was in the right location, they unwrapped all of our items and then took the packing material with them. The move was finished in two hours flat. The fees were just as quoted with no hidden surprises. They charge per hour with a minimum of two hours. They do not charge to get to the West side of the island (Kapolei area) like one of their competitors does. This was an amazing value! This is the best moving experience I can recall ever. I highly recommend Kama'aina Movers!

Honolulu Girl

Larry and his crew did a very good job of moving me on Oct. 20, 2021. I had several pieces that were fragile/glass/sensitive electronic equipment, and they all arrived undamaged and in good condition. Although I did a lot of prep work in advance to add cushioning, bubble wrap, etc., they also shrink-wrapped all these sensitive items to give them additional protection. They also had a system of strapping, carrying, etc., so the items wouldn't get damaged. Only one bed caster sleeve got damaged and I had to jury-rig a replacement (they forgot to shrink-wrap the casters to the frame as I had originally asked because of this issue), but otherwise no other damage. The only other problem was scheduling when it was good for both myself and the neighbors (who needed to go out of the driveway next to my house). It was hard to get Larry to agree to a compatible schedule for all, but in the end it worked out. They are also very reasonable, and don't charge extra "frills" or added fees. I would recommend them to others, and would use them again if I had to move again (but god forbid that). ;)

Duane Edwards came on time and moved everything carefully and efficiently using shrink wrap to secure all the boxes. He even took our old bed to the dump for an extra $50.00. Dwayne & his crew were very professional throughout the process. Aware that the billing is hourly, he was very prompt while still showing the attention to detail with regard to wrapping and safety. He showed up a bit early to get prepped for the move, but didn't start the clock until the move began. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME SERVICE!! I first called Johnny the Mover and I was so disgusted with their SERVICE! They came late. They didn't come with the amount of guys I originally wanted, they were unprofessional! I looked up another moving company, Kamaaima Movers and called them immediately! The owner, Dewayne, told me he himself can sense the frustration and he would be there shortly! I told Johnny The Mover that they can leave but still paid for the little bit of work they did. I told Dewayne that I needed 4 guys and he showed up with 2 trucks and 6 guys (himself included) and told me the other 2 guys were extra and free!!! Larry and his crew showed up right on time, were sensitive to the homes where they were moving two heavy sofas from and to. They efficiently and carefully wrapped the sofas in blankets and shrink wrap, then transported them to the new location, moved them up 18 steps, and installed them in their new home with no damage or blemishes whatsoever. I was in a desperate situation where I was looking for someone to help me move a couch. All my friends were busy. I could not rent a uhaul right away and I was confused. Then I googled moves near me and found Kamaaina Movers. They were closed for the day but the owner answered the phone anyway. My husband and I HIGHLY recommend Kamaaina Movers. We have been using Kamaaina Movers for many years for both our personal and business moves on so many different levels since 2016. One of the big requirements for "business building to building" moves is "COI" or certificate of insurance, which we found that some movers don't have or carry. Kamaaina Movers had theur COI readily available and in-hand. Over that, one of the larger office building's management we moveed from already had Kamaaina Movers' COI on file AND showed no incidents to report. Kamaaina Moves is very fast, efficient and takes great care of us and more importantly our furniture items as well as being careful around walls, elevators, etc... We have been become very familiar & now have become friends with 5 of their long time, regular employees (they don't stop, until the job is done). Happy customers!
